Red Roof Inn Plano

This property was the absolute worst hotel property Ive stayed at, in 60 years. and hundreds of hotels. A "15" page letter has been written to "THE president of Red Roof Inns, outlining in details with over 150 pics of "the issues". A lawsuit will be filed, if a settlement isn't accepted by RedRoof Inns.

Ease of access to highway and close to restaurants Cleanliness of room was awful, bugs and roaches moved around bathroom.

When we stepped in the room it had this foul smell, and we were going to leave when the door wouldn’t lock. After we got home I went to the bathroom to see many places covered in yellow, and when I got on the bed it was sticky and was stained yellow. I was about to go to bed when I saw a cockroach and many flies. This was the worst place I’ve been to. I had 2 dogs and they barely slept because the floor was sticky and slippery, they would only sleep on a towel and never left it. I will never come back here again.

Ugh. I did not feel safe in this property. The back part of the property seems to be low rent housing. No green space at all. Everything just seemed trashy. Lukewarm water was all I could get. Lumpy pillows.

The man that checked me in was nice but the man that checked me out two days later was rude. On top of that I found two $50 incidental holds on my credit card when they told me there would only be one $50 hold. The television in my room didn’t work. It is a non smoking motel but all around me it still smelled like smokers.

Drug needles on the ground and around it exterior of the building tried to charge me a $25 fee for cleaning the room before checking and the $50 deposit when I paid everything online including my insurance

They said give us a hour to check boilers . That was 72 hours. No daily housekeeping like advertised as an amenity. . A nightmare. I travel for work . Trash everywhere they never cleaned it. All week .

Awesome Office Management except one guy that seems a bit grumpy everyday but all in all they are nice. Housekeeping is awesome. One lady really goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need and have everything comfortably ready and available. Property is okay and comfy and for the most part quiet. A lot of police in and out at times but makes me feel safe. Love that Dennys is in the parking lot basically lol! We loved the manager John and how he was super nice and easy to work with and always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this place. Speak to John! He’s a cool guy.

Pool was dirty, opaque water, juat walking by it. There were no coffee available in the morning. The beds were horrible and the room smelled weird. The front office guy was super friendly and helpful.

Very uncomfortable. Front desk guy came to my room to “check on me.” But, he wanted to hang out with me acted very inappropriate with me. The property is gross looking and didn’t feel safe.

Close to restaurants and other good businesses

I love this property! It’s so clean and comfortable and the staff is amazing. The manager is awesome and so kind! He goes above and beyond to help people.

Redroof inn are normally very nice. This one was like a third world country poverty. The people that worked there was nice.

Internet access was poor , not able to connect, the bathroom was infested with german roaches. I went to management and was handed a towel to block the door

Bathroom door broken and not closing. Difficult to stay in room and bath. Everything is bad except receptionist guy and moved of this hotel to another hotel in neighborhood.

Fast service. Had a possible safety issue and they took care of it the way i expected.

The hotel is old, outdated with no modern features and services.

Took credit card for deposit , and ram the card and put money on it. No hotel chain runs the card and puts money on it unless there is a reason, they take card for safety purpose. Ask to speak to manager , guy would let me and argued with me the whole time. He was rude , won’t stay in a red roof again if this is how they treat customers.

Terrible staff rooms are hold and nasty, to much deposit they charge 2 times $50 deposit, this is my last time in hotel like this..

It was a homestead it cars in parking lot that has been jacked up and don't run .you have people hanging clothes on the upstairs railing the room the so call hot water warm . It was a motel people live there. I went to other hotel. This How Bad it Was................

Staff was friendly enough in my opinion.

Where to begin! The place is so ghetto! There were people loitering everywhere. A lady had her door open barring music and yelling. I found a bullet on the ground. I had to move from my room two times. The door latches were falling apart and the safety latch did not work. The beds were lumpy and noisy. It smelled like cigarettes even though it was a no smoking room. The shower curtain rod fell on my head when I closed the curtain! There were three of us and there was only two towels. Guy at the office said we had to use one towel and walk to the office to get a fresh one. So we went and bought three towels, air freshener and sanitation spray. We didn’t even enjoy the swimming pool because it was beyond gross. Water was fool of garbage and the floor was flaking off. Very very bad experience. I really regret renting here and I would not recommend it to anyone! Shame on the location!

The first room they put me in had roaches

The hotel itself was ok. The staff was a bit questionable though. Nice, but I could tell they don't trust people. Assuming this is because of previous people staying and not caring for the property.

There were roaches in the room and on the bed when I woke up and there was pee on the toilet seat before I had went in there! The Staff was really nice!! So I’m still thankful for the stay! Just concerned me it hadn’t been cleaned especially with the toilet seat having stuff on it!

We pulled into a typical seedy motel. Dont know how this place is still legally allowed to operate. Moldy shower wall, stained matress, etc... Left immediately after checking in. Do not recommend

There was no coffee maker in the room.. the controls for the air/heat were not attached..so I could not change the temperature at all. The internet is so bad..I gave up. The towels were so ruff I could have used them to do a body scrub.And the ice machine was not working at all.

Clean and staff friendly and helpful

There is a difference between inexpensive and cheap. The room was low priced but in need of repair. The entire building is old and needs a remodel. The "Red Roof" isn't so red anymore. On the bright side, the Staff was friendly.

This was the worse hotel I’ve ever been to. Trash everywhere and property was highly unkempt. Lots of dangerous looking people lurking around, I saw someone smoking crack in their car! The room was filthy, I’ve never seen such a disgusting place inside and out. No hot water, most of the lights did not work, and there was noise all night and dogs barking. I’ve never had such a poor experience from a motel.

Excellent place to live.

The door wouldn’t close completely and so I heard the traffic from the interstate all night long. The air conditioner did not work so it was pretty hot. I tried to discuss with the property manager, but there was a severe language barrier and was unable to understand what he was saying. I can stay in just about any place, but I will never return to this hotel, I’d rather pay another $50 then be here again. Have a good day.

Cheap price but not safe area

I was not expecting the Ritz. I did expect a door that locked, a non smoking room that didn’t reek of smoke, and clean floors. I had to change rooms and the best I could get was 2 out of three. The second room was better but the soles of my feet were black just from walking around in the room. It served it’s purpose but I would not stay here again.

If you don't want hot water, it's passable. If you want to shower or shave, go someplace else.

The room smelled of smoke and there was dirt showing around every crevice. I slept on top of my blanket because my sheets had various stains on it. Everything in the room was damaged or rusted. If I wasn’t staying for a few hours I would have cancelled and left. STAY AWAY!!!

Not very welcoming lobby look, somewhat knowledgeable staff. Room was alright, dated with some modern features. The real reason for the review was maintenance came into my room without knocking while in a vulnerable state. Contacted the front desk about the situation and told me the manager would contact me. Some time passed and he didn’t so had to call back. It took me 3 times because they kept hanging up my calls until I got an answer. Was told the room was going to be half off for the incident, didn’t want to argue it because I was very tired so I took it. When checking out the manager still did not want to talk about the situation. Not a good look especially since I travel to this area quite often

We are a couple that was stopping in this area for a halfway point from traveling all day. For the price, the room was pretty much what we expected. We needed a shower and bed to sleep in. That’s it. As for rest and relaxing….. there was NONE! Several kids were out side our door for hours playing and running around with balls. We saw one of the kids throw the ball and hit the room across from ours, ac unit. I opened our room door once and one child was running from another one and ran into our room door as I walked out of the room. We witnessed a couple of kids looking in car windows, including my own car. It seemed to be more people living at this place than staying for anything else. Again, with this place, you get what you paid for.

The first room had a FILTHY floor. I requested and got a change. Less dirty but I still got black feet. No tissues, fridge, microwave hair dryer. At least linen was clean.

Unbelievably terrible. Had to leave and get a refund 20 minutes after getting to the room. Took 30 minutes to check in as the front desk couldn’t speak English and the lady of the night extending her stay as well as the drug dealer (who seemed to “work there”- the drug dealing jokes made me make this assumption)

Would not recommend. Room unclean, clearly housekeeping does not take pride in how they clean the rooms for the next guests. Found a large beer can right next to the bed. Roaches in room. Had what appeared to be vomit on the side of the bed that had not been cleaned. Should have read google reviews before booking the property. I would never have stayed.

The room was in poor condition. Only a couple of outlets worked. The phone was missing buttons and not functional. The internet didn't work. There were unsupervised children everywhere. Trash and Food were throughout the walkways. It was a very poor experience.

The place smells so rank. I can’t believe we have such places in USA. I had to cancel the reservation and find something better. Even if they say it’s free I’ll never recommend this place. It’s like the lowest standard you can find in any other third world country

The stay was fun! Only thing I wished was for the internet to be easier to find and log i to. Also we needed disposable cups would be great. Other than that, we had a wonderful, pleasant time.

Pictures are misleading, the area and people are very sketchy and we did not feel safe during our stay. Air conditioning works but is very noisy and turns on and off at random during the middle of the night, scaring us.

We love to stay at Red Roof but this one was awful. Very run down, room was not clean, had to wear shoes unless in bed, did not feel safe, no grass area for the dog, very noisy, all around the worst experience I have ever had at a Rex Roof.

I did like any thing about this hotel. It is terrible.

Roaches in bed, dirty sheets

It wasn’t cleaned, there were clothes from the last person in there, a half eaten burrito, and numerous roaches

There were flies all over our room. The door broke after one night. They moved us to another room that didn’t have a refrigerator or microwave and I’m 5 months pregnant and the bed was also wet when I complained about it they just didn’t seem to care so I asked for a refund and the manager gave a full refund.

It was small and smelled like something died. Price wasn’t bad but could’ve booked somewhere else for a bit more and got a better place.

Very poor attendant service. Pool non working condition. Bed was comfy, once i finally found my room. Rude staff. Or non existing staff.

The Red Roof in Plano has an amazing staff that is very accommodating and very empathetic. They are on top of your jobs and they do it well and then make moves and try to help as best they can for people who might be a little short or need a little extra they are more than willing to give and help so go stay there

The people here are extremely accommodating and very fair. Basically meaning a lot of BS about dogs or people or smoking simple little things like that little stuff that helps but the staff here is awesome your rooms are okay but most don't have all the stuff but I would still give them five stars

Unfortunately I had the misfortune of having a bad experience, from the entrance of the hotel without sweeping, without mopping it seemed abandoned. It smelled horrible, too dirty, "the cafeteria service" was terrible, since everything was dirty and smelled very bad. The room was the same, we came with a terrible experience, the staff had no manners, they didn't even smile, unfortunately I didn't take pictures but it was like something that hadn't been cleaned in years
