The pictures are very inaccurate to the current conditions of the property. We bad broken furniture in our room, mold in the shower, dogs barking late at night in room next to us, cops everywhere, neighboring room guest accusing us of stealing her cat as soon as we arrived. Beach access but trash all over beach and homeless people sleeping right outside of hotel. We did not stay we immediately grabbed our bags and left.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Very homey. Relaxing and very comfortable. Right on the beach. All the amenities of home but on the beach. LOVE this place The construction across the street was annoying but not the fault of Ebbtide

Easy parking and great beach view

Property is OUTDATED it feels like the late 90’s, bare minimum on everything. Bathroom window was broken and wouldn’t close…. Notified staff everyday only to have nothing done. No breakfast area on property, laundry area never opened on time as listed on the door. The best thing about this place is location on the beach. I would never stay here again. EXPEDIA this is not a HOTEL it’s an apartment. Make this your last option to rent.

Great, beautiful location but poorly maintained, apartments need a lot of work, dirty, old pots and pans, sand mixed with the water actually came out of pipes in bathroom, AC filters filthy, overhead fan dirty, old worn out furniture. Could be an amazing property with some TLC & hard work. Can’t beat the location, parking and safety

The property is lovely as it has a pool with plenty of seating and is right next to the beach and ocean. The staff were so helpful. They responded quickly and were very friendly. Overall this was a great property.

Clean room, beautiful view

Kitchen table was sticky. Couldn’t get it clean. Lounge chairs broken, good ones had no cushions, this is an OLD Florida motel. Small things like bath toiletries, paper towels, tissue paper, shampoo not provided. The price was very expensive but is founded on the old adage “location, location, location”. It I right on the beach, centrally located where all the action is. The price for the condition of the place makes this a last “resort” on your list.The access to the beach and restaurants was a plus.

We enjoyed our stay right on the beach at Ebb Tide. A nice boutique hotel that is not modern, but a great value for the price! The room was clean and the bathroom had a great powerful shower! We will be back!

The shower curtain had mold on it. It was great to have a refrigerator, microwave, and stove since no breakfast is available on site. The bed was comfortable.

Amazing place for the price. Heated pool. Also, pet friendly and with the best view of the beach and within a block or 2 of the best restaurants on Briny Street. Definitely centralized. Will absolutely be coming back.

The property is on the beach. Beyond that, this is not somewhere you want to spend $300 a night for. Moldy shower curtain. Visible pipes. Rusted bathroom mirror. Windows that don’t prop open. Old, tired furniture & bedding.

Quiet, clean room, great staff, very well secured and safe. Parking is great, the pool is amazing, as well as different guests are all respectful and polite.

The accommodation had several drawbacks, including a recurring shower flooding issue, an inconsistent internet connection, and an outdated room with an uncomfortable bed. The bed was on a slant so difficult tosleep on. I had to sleep on a rollaway bed. Despite these problems, the location was excellent, the staff was responsive, and being pet-friendly with nearby restaurants were added benefits.

Our stay was excellent!!! We loved the beach which is steps away from the property. Karen was wonderful. The parking was good and the pool area was clean and comfortable. We will return

Overall the room was dingy. The exterior facility was good, beach access great. For the price it was ok.

The resort is located on the Beach side of the road. Direct access to the beach. The grounds are private and quiet. The staff are very friendly. The pool is clean and warm. An Ice machine, even if it had to be outside, would be a nice improvement. I was able to make ice using the provided trays in the refrigerator in the room.

It’s directly on the Beach with a pool and the Owner and the Property is simple and clean with full Kitchens. The Day Porter maintenance Guy was so nice. This place has a really cool vibe.

It's a very old hotel, needs some renovations, it was quiet and for the most part okay, but it is right on the beach and that's what we wanted.

We just got home from our Pompano beach vacation. Staying here was lovely. Very clean, friendly and accommodating staff!

Comfortable on the beach resort with nice pool and close to dining

This is a great get away from the world hotel. Small and quiet but yet close to many fun things to do. Beachfront definitely a plus and walking distance to Pompano entertainment. This is my go to hotel when visiting Pompano. Simply love it.

I didn’t like that our sofa bed didn’t come with bedding.

Property location on the beach was very nice. One minute walk to the beach. Building was in need of remodeling. Floor in room was old and coming apart at walls. Pest control needed as room had what I think was small ants in bathroom and kitchen. Nice lit pool and fish in small pond to feed. Minutes walk to boardwalk.

The location is a gem! It's small compared to surrounding buildings with AMAZING beach access. It's also on a quiet (sans construction) very walkable street. Management was also very accomidating with my check in. It's quirky and adorable and met all my needs! I hope it lives forever. Management has put a lot of effort to inform guests about policies, it was just a lot to keep track of ahead of time on a road trip... it will benefit you to stay attentive.

What breakfast Bugs in the room

Great central location to all the best parts of pompano. It is so close to the beach with views that are unmatched. The owner is such a nice and personable lady. This resort is pet friendly as well.

The property needs a lot of work. I stayed here a few years ago and it seems to have gone downhill since then. I know that a hurricane hit close to the area a day before my arrival but the outside area was a wreck everything was very dirty and just looked dilapidated . Inside our room there was a stain on the bed sheets that looked like blood and the shower curtain was gross and filled with soap scum. There was also water stains on the wall around our door. I do not think I will stay again. However on the plus side the kitchen area looked clean and was well equipped for a short stay and the a/c blew cold.

The hotel was very clean, a little expensive , and I can say because it is very humble no updated but the acces to the beach is just step and that's what I wanted, to go seat on beach and see sunrise worth it the money. I enjoyed being there.

I had a perfect stay at Ebb Tide. Although the property is older, it’s well kept and extremely clean. The location can not be beat, and the staff were all exceptionally welcoming.

This property is cute quaint old Florida. Absolutely adorable. Best staff ever. We had most wonderful weekend. If you are looking for a cute quiet old Florida on the beach feel, this is the place for you.

Quiet and safe friendly

I would not stay at this property unless they invested in major upkeep and maintenance and cleaning.

Property was a bit outdated and the toilet in our bathroom was actually leaning a bit due to some issue with the floor. But, we would stay again for the location - the beach was steps away, clean and not crowded. Short walk to the main public beach and awesome restaurants with ocean views. Resort was quiet when we stayed - great for kids.

The property itself could use some work like all older places usually do. But we had a fantastic time at the resort. It was very homie, the staff was excellent and the pool was amazing. Beautiful grounds and surrounding area's. Whewe come back to Florida we will request a room at the Ebb tide. Loved every moment we spent. Thank you to the resort for making our vacation wonderful

The access to the beach was amazing, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The room was dated and the air conditioning didn't work.

The room we stayed in was in horrible condition. The worst we've ever stayed in. Pics found online depict something much different than reality. The property management deflected the situation onto Expedia. There are rooms that have been renovated. Avoid the rooms with two double beds.

Just step off the property and you’re on the beach. Close to a variety of places to eat.

This is a time capsule of a place. Built in the 50s and not improved since. Rusty things, poorly patched walls, no heat on the cold winter nights we were there. No blow dryer or shampoo, no housekeeping even though we stayed 5 nights. Location is amazing, but the rest is moldy and old.

Just one comment: We will ALWAYS stay at this resort every time we are in Florida!! Absolutely incredible and beautiful. Highly, highly, recommend, and I was not asked for this review.

Excellent place to stay if you are not looking for extravagance! The view is amazing! Private parking available. Could not ask for a better beach! Staff very friendly and helpful! Would definately stay here again. Just know that NOTHING is provided...be prepared to make a trip to Publix to get everything you need for your stay ( including coffee, coffee filters, ice, paper towels, soap, shampoo, etc)

Older property and needs work, nice pool, and great location, bed was decent and pillows were as well. Shower water pressure was the best I've ever had in my many stays in FL. Be aware: Buy your own chairs from the store. They rent chairs for $15 each per day and you have until 5pm to return them, they are old and used, store has brand new ones for $20. The bed sheets were clean but stained, same as some of the towels, they had stain spots on them. The shower curtain was trashed and ripped and the hooks fell out every shower. The AC units are super old and need servicing. If you're staying a few days, go to the store to buy what you need. They do not provide coffee filters, paper towels or soap for the kitchens. You can buy their double priced products there but they do not even give you coffee filters for the coffee maker. I would stay again.

It was horrible. The pictures on the website really represent fraud. There were absolutely no amenities, it was rated a 4.1 while the Atlantic on ocean blvd was rated a4.2 we have pictures

The property is perfectly located between a very quiet street and the ocean. It is a charming "old Florida" resort that needs a bit of TLC, but we knew that going in. There are no bells and whistles, but if you don't want to stay in a high-rise, chain hotel, this is the place for you! The rooms with 2 beds are spacious with a kitchenette. There is a beautiful pool area with grills and you are just steps from the ocean!!

Our stay was wonderful. The room is literally on the beach and it has a really nice pool. The chairs are mostly all missing straps. They should replace the chairs. Within walking distance is the pier and all kinds of shops and restaurants. It's nothing fancy but it's a steal for the price. I wish they had 1 larger bed instead of 2 full-size beds since we were on our honeymoon. The view of the ocean was only partial but still very nice. My only complaint was there was black mold in the bathroom around the grout and on the shower curtain. Otherwise the room was very clean. There were a lot of little lizards running around and one huge iguana who came right up to our window at one point. We thought this was really cool. The staff let us leave our bags in the office because we arrived hours early so we could go explore. They do not clean your room unless you ask and no one works on Sundays so it is not a typical hotel stay. It's more like a condo rental in that way.

Ebb Tide Resort is just as advertised! Great family-friendly atmosphere right on the beach and ideally located in easy walking distance from restaurants and stores, while still feeling like a secluded hideaway. My first visit and I can't wait to come back!

Let’s start with the good: -you cannot get any closer to the beach. -the view is fantastic -staff was friendly -the bed was clean and comfortable -the main part of the room was nice -the pool was one of the nicest I have seen in the area -there are several places to eat nearby -it’s close to the pier -Walgreens is right around the corner -Publix is within walking distance but it’s far enough you wouldn’t want to carry your stuff back if you get a lot - beach towels are provided if you ask for them The bad: -had a room with a kitchen. The kitchen was so gross it ruined my stay. I could see it from the bed. Everything was just rusted and needed some TLC. -the bathroom wasn’t quite as bad as the kitchen, but it was not great. There was still toothpaste on the wall. -nobody tells you that they have chairs to rent when you check in. -the umbrellas are first come first serve and mine was broken. (Chairs and umbrellas are from what people left after buying them themselves) -I advised that I did not want housekeeping when I checked in and discovered that they still came in. Nothing was missing so that’s good! They did only make the bed and empty the trash. -all of the air conditioners are falling apart. They work but it just looks so bad. I would not stay here again

The view is wonderful, and the location too, the only point to improve for me are the rooms. Put some things on, like shampoo a hair dryer. but in general everything was fine.

Is a nice old beach motel. Was windy and rainy while there with the wind whistling through the door! Loved the room and the view of pool and ocean. I’d stay there again.

Mike was awesome and any of the staff I interacted were great. This place was excellent for the price and right on the beach. Not a brand new place, but it’s age adds to its charm and reminiscent of a bygone era. But not a worry as you will want to spend all your time on the beach. Relaxing, ask for one of the rooms with beach views. Close to the pier and some great restaurants.

On the up side the bed was very comfortable, the tv had quite a good choice of channels and there was free Wi-Fi. Towels were changed regularly.

It was totally a internet selection and hope. We were greatly pleased with what we did. It's not new and glitzy but it was right on the beach and the excellent ratingd says the rest. Also nice and spacious rooms.

This hotel is located right on the beach and we were given a fantastic ocean front room. Lots of privacy for pure relaxation. The staff was friendly and they came early to replace towels etc. We were allowed an early check in which was awesome. We had free parking and were also close enough to walk to some of the restaurants and shops. The room was a little outdated but we knew this so weren’t surprised and the bed was super comfy. We rented beach chairs for $5 a day but we brought our own beach towels which were also available for $5 a day but you get your $ back when they were returned. All in this was a nice short stay hotel. The location is prime ocean front where you can watch the sunrise every morning with your coffee like we did.

The remote to operate the AC didn't work and although it is a older resort more attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the comforters and pillows , the bed, the windows and the room overall. The pool area was very nice but the area outside to the upstairs rooms was just average. Hotel needs some major renovations. I wouldn't recommend. On a positive note I was very pleased with the owner/managers willingness to approach me and address my concerns before I left.

Pros: staff was great! Very friendly and able to accommodate us for an additional night due to weather changing our flight plans. Direct access to the beach: this was spot on. Walk right out the patio and you are on the beach. Nice clean and quiet. The lifeguard stand and public access is far enough away to give you the private feel but close enough to walk down by the life guard if it makes you comfortable. Pool area is clean. Does say heated but it was cold. The resort offers beach/pool towels for 5 dollars. Couldn’t stress more to take advantage of this. You can switch the towels out for new ones at any time (sand sand sand) and at the end of your stay, your deposit is refunded. Cons: The beach chairs that they offer for non-refundable rent are old and rusty. The hotel still has an old time door key which is HARD to open and frustrating to have to keep an actual key in your beach bag The room: Ocean Room 22. Ebb tide reminded me of an older efficiency apartment instead of a normal hote room. The room was clean, yet a bit dated and there was a small hole in the floor of our room (indenting in the wood). The bedding was clean and smelled of fabric softener. Kitchen had a apartment size fridge and electric stove. Cons: there only thing that was provided was 3 small hand soaps for the restroom and a roll of toilet paper. Not even Kleenex. Overall we will be back

Very nice resort. The room could use updating but it was very clean, no musty smell, and the bed very comfortable. Fun property right on the ocean, nice location where you can walk to get a bite to eat. We would definitely go back! Very friendly and helpful staff. Family owned and operated. The staff was very friendly and nice but the place is a little “worn”. Granted we booked at the last minute and got the only room available, but it was small and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. There’s no room service or a place to get a drink on site, but the rooms come with refrigerator, toaster and coffee machine. The best value on the beach.

They had no complimentary coffee and when we asked they said it was &1.50 per cup. There wasn’t any good outdoor lighting at night. There some kind of wood construction at the top of the stairs which was a trip hazard to our room. A huge disappointment for $115.00 a night. Should have spent an extra 30 and stayed at a chain hotel. ☹️

On the beach, old but comfortable. Only complaint we have is the last two morning's we were there, we were woken up to the sound of a pressure washer. Could have lived without that! Would consider going back!

This was what we needed. The rooms are no frills but the location is excellent. Right on the beach in a quiet area. The room is very basic but it is clean. Has a small kitchenette and full size refrigerator. It’s ideal for extended stays. Again no frills but at the price it is an exceptional bargain

This is a perfect family vacation spot-not a “modern” type resort but a good old fashioned family resort complete with a shuffle board court. We all loved this place and will certainly recommend this “gem” on the beach!!

The place was run down and dirty. Tub was disgusting and smelled like mold. Housekeeping only cleans the room on Saturday. The room was so small when you got in and out of bed you were up against the wall. The kitchenette was the size of a closet. The walls were paper thin. People next to us were smoking cigarettes and weed. It came through beneath the adjoining door. I’d never stay there again or recommend it. Absolutely o privacy at all.

Our room was equipped with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, stove and coffee pot and stocked with plates, bowls, cups etc. No need to eat out every meal should you choose not too. All of the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping was super friendly and very easy to interact with. This is such a great place for a quiet get away out of Miami. We'll be back next year.

Good price for the beachfront place! Definitely would stay here again! I loved the call from susan a few days before check in to welcome us to her place.. such a nice personal touch!! Loved that pets were welcome.. another plus!!

When we arrived there wasn’t anyone in the office for check in. They taped instructions and codes on the wall outside of the office which was accessible to anyone. The problem with that is safety. As we are walking in the facility we noticed how dirty the pool was. So we get to the room and that is when it really got bad. The room smelled like mold and we could feel the dust on the sheets and pillows, One of the towels had dry blood on it (nasty) The second night there were many people pool side till at least 3-4 in the morning keeping us up all night. The unfortunate truth is that we couldn’t get in touch with anyone to voice our concerns. Place needs work because it can be a beautiful place to stay but needs staffing, security, update to the facility. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY HERE!

This was one of my favorite places i have ever stayed. Outside the room was a deck thatboverlooked the ocean and the pool. The voew was just amazing. I could watxh my daughter swim in the pool while my baby took a nap all the while staring at the beautiful ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a great size and very clean. The location of the property was quiet yet one block away were restautants, shops and a playground. I will def be back soon.

“Weathered” is the best way to describe this place. It could be a great place. Need to shut this place down for 6 months or so and update EVERYTHING. Room floors are peeled/patched linoleum, dressers have bubbled tops from water being placed on them, blinds don’t all function, and the exterior - well- needs extensive repair, paint, patching, etc. Thank God we were here for 1 night. I understand quaint, but hammered is more appropriate. Positive reviews left for this place had to have been made by folks with severe vision problems. The “Tide” has gone out with this place.

The location is just beautiful right on the beach. My stay was very quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous view of the ocean.

The location for the price is amazing. The room was spotless. It had everything I needed to cook small meals. The check in process was easy and everyone was very friendly. I look forward to going back!

UNSAFE!!! The last night of my stay, my room was entered by another guest whose key open my door. This was late at night and frightened me that I could not sleep the rest of night. There is nobody from the motel present at night. When I voiced my concerns the next morning to management and later in the week with the owner, they showed no real concern and deducted that I must have not locked the door properly. Not only was the situation not handled sympatheticly, but blaming me is irresponsible and disrespectful. Very disappointed with the management and because of this, would not recommend a stay.

Ebb Tide was everything we had hoped for. Stayed two nights for a birthday getaway. Motel was built in the 50's and you can see that in the style, but it was what we wanted. Room was very clean, had a microwave, coffeemaker and a mini fridge. The fridge was a good size with a separate freezer. The pool was beautiful and immaculate, as were all the grounds. You are right on a terrific private beach a short walk from the Pompano pier, which is being rebuilt. Karen and everyone were very nice and helpful. We arrived early and since the room was ready we were able to go right up. We were also told we could stay as long as we wanted after checking out to use the pool, beach, and pool restroom. It was not crowded so our parking space was not needed. Not as a negative, but the room only has a small bar of soap so bring your own toiletries and coffee. Some available for purchase and there are grocery stores and drug stores very close. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Great bargain for being right on the beach.
