Nice place to Visit for a few days or a week. Nice pools and Friendly Staff.

As it’s a quiet area we were about to Uber into the nightlight about 25 mins away which was not a big deal.

Great location and a beautiful property! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would return. The room and bathroom just need a nice renovation and a more modern TV for streaming, if need be. Not that we had time to stream anyway, however, for a longer stay, it would be a nice touch. The ocean and city view balcony in our room was our favorite spot in the room! Staff and customer service were excellent! The restaurant and bar on site is an absolute hit. Although, we did miss out on our complimentary drinks due to no fault of the property. We will take advantage of it next time 😊. Lots of local restaurants and bars nearby for more options. Other than the much needed room renovation, it was a great staycation overall. We definitely recommend this property!!!

We have stayed here a few times now, what keeps us coming back is the amazing beach views from the very large grand balconies. I would definitely recommend the ocean front rooms worth the extra money.

This is an absolute hidden gem! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The rooms, dinning area, beaches, pools, and entire property are extremely well maintained. The food is delicious, drinks are amazing. It makes you feel like you are in Hawaii or somewhere tropical from the decor and scenery. Absolutely will be returning to this resort!

The staff were very kind and professional. The pool was nice. The food was just okay. Several things i got were over or under cooked. Overall flavor not great.

A little oasis away from everything . We really enjoyed a few days here . We didn’t have to leave for anything . Coffee , lunch and dinner . Food was amazing , the beach had umbrellas and chairs and towels provided . Definitely will be back

Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great. Room was clean. Keep in mind this is an old building. Loud, heavy doors. Many areas like in to the room and shower there is a step up. Valet was very attentive. You have to park across the street if you don't use valet.

The room was nice and cold in a warm, muggy day. The staff was nice and helpful. My only complaints were there some long hairs on our towels and the shower is rusting, but it is right on the water so assuming most older properties along the water must be like that. Would have been a great experience except for the hair on multiple towels. Ew.

Room was ok. Looks like repairs were in progress. Sparkle on the wall with no paint or sanding. Dresser was in a weird place. No full length mirror. No waters in the room. Not deal breakers but just some suggestions. Menu options felt limited. Fruit and veggie tray would have been since. Front desk and valet service was great. Beach was ok. Pools were nice. Could have used more servers for the pools. Bed was comfy and ac cooled nicely in the room. Resort is close to quit a few things. Only big con was our room door was left open by housekeeping staff. Probably all day since we were gone all day and housekeeping happens in the morning hours. We informed front desk of this. We got an apology. We might stay here again.

We always stay at the Beachcomber. It is our favorite spot. The rooms are very comfortable and the beach is perfect. The balconies offer amazing views. Generally we prefer the ocean view vs ocean front because it’s fun to see if there are families playing in the pool or to hear the live music on the weekends, but all the rooms are great.

Overall the resort was nice. The restaurant and pool staff were really good. The hotel desk staff was not very personable. Other than the hotel front desk staff, my only other issue was with how loud the air conditioning was and that it seemed to be set at 70 and you could not lower it anymore. I found it hot in the room and would have liked the option to bring it down to 68°. The resort was okay but I would not stay there again.

Extra charges daily for what I don't know and parking charge even if I park myself was wrong

I stayed there for a few days just to relax after my graduation and it was very relaxing and peaceful. The property was very clean and the staff were excellent. I would stay again.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful answering all questions. They were all friendly and welcoming. We used their cabanas to celebrate our niece’s graduation and everyone was great. Service was top notch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to be close to the beach and wants great service.

Had a wonderful time with the kids. Staff were very helpful and the cafe was great for a quick breakfast. Great value!!!

The staff and atmosphere were great. The only downside was the bathroom. It was a bit small and we had to flush the toilet multiple times before it actually flushed.

The other staff did not have name tags on so you didn't know who you were talking to and they were not very friendly.

Valet guys seem very overwhelmed. Not very friendly or communicative. Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant which was overpriced, poorly made and not very tasty. Location was great and description on room placement was perfect.

I really wish there was a hot tub, we had some cooler days and that would have been nice since the pool and beach were too cold to go in, but the pools and beaches we wonderful when it was warm weather! Next time we will skip out on the rental, parking was not easy to do, where we had to cross a main street each time which was dangerous and inconvenient for us. Other than that great food, great views and all staff were super helpful and extremely nice! I highly recommend staying at the Beachcomber! We will definitely be coming back soon!

This was our fourth time there, absolutely my favorite place! I’ve actually never left a review before but there was an incident this year with the resort fee that left a bad taste in my mouth. We know about it and have paid it every year but I was told by a very rude front desk girl named Keke. She told us the resort fee and the parking was due at the time of check out but after the first night we went down to watch the sunrise and got locked out of our room at 7am because they tried taking out of an account I only transfer $ to when I need it. We had nothing with us just room keys and a phone. It was an easy fix but it was embarrassing and inconvenient. I was also treated terrible by the same girl when I picked up a package I had delivered there. I was disappointed, normally the staff goes above and beyond for us. With that being said it’s a beautiful resort and I hope to come back again next year

This resort was great especially for the price.

We booked a Villa and thought it would nicer than a standard room. The floors where dirty and the floor tiles where broken. It had a mini kitchen and fridge with no utensils to use the kitchen for anything. Would not recommend.

The room was just okay. Bathroom is older and towels scratchy. Service was very good - nice people!

Came for 1 night to see a show at the Hard Rock. Great place to stay! Very clean! Great location, nice restaurant on the ocean.

We initially had a room on level 2, the room wasnt clean, it was dark and pretty much nasty, nothing like the pictures. We went to the reception and the lady nicely upgraded us on level 5. by being on the level 5, everything was ok but hotel is really a 3 stars. Amenties, pool and beach are very nice. Valet service as well very professionnal. Restaurant food is ok but cafe is very good on the lobby floor.

The staff was wonderful - very helpful and cheery! We wish there was a gym (even a small/basic one) on-property and the bathroom could have used an update. The resort itself was clean and nice though: the restaurant is great, cocktails are fun and not your run of the mill options. Beach staff was very accommodating and quick. I had a very good time there. Everybody was so sweet and nice and everything was clean and the food was incredible.

The staff was super friendly. Food was fantastic. Extremely clean. The room was spacious with a nice balcony. We met very nice people at the pool. The resort guests were a mix of families and couples. It is not a high rise hotel, so there was plenty of sun. The prices were very affordable. I would highly recommend. We are planning on going back!

This is a very old building and the bathroom definitely reflects the age. There was a hole in the wall, the tub was yucky and the water didn’t drain well! The location directly in the beach made it tolerable. I didn’t even stay my second night, the room was definitely not to my standards, need renovation bad!

We have chosen beachcomber 5 times in 18 months though this last stay was a little disappointing. We stayed in a beachfront room with broken air conditioning, the shampoo was not filled, the front desk staff were not welcoming as compared to the restaurant staff who were fabulous. They recognized us, went over the top to make sure we were happy. There was a wedding venue so knowing extra guest would be arriving, they did not staff the pool deck or beachfront appropriately. One staff manned the full outdoor area. The pool was not kept up. We took chemical reading ourselves as we were concerned with the cloudiness and thick film floatingbon the top of the pool. Nothing was done. We brought our concerns to the front desk and stayed out of the pool for the rest of our trip as we are very aware of the health risks to chemical readings not being kept. The pool remained cloudy for our full trip and never once did we see maintenance caring for the pool Very disappointing this time to see how most of the staff did not care for such a beautiful family resort.

We loved everything about the property.

Older hotel, but nicely maintained. Our room was spacious. Staff was good, great beach. The only issue we had was a thin door between our room and our neighbors. We could everything they were saying through the door. Also be aware of a $45 daily fee for the beach and pool.

Great location close to FLL airport and cruise docks. The cafe and restaurant “Deep” foods are great. Staff is friendly and welcoming throughout the entire facility.

Restaurant food taste like they cant afford spices and the property has aged and needs updates. Tv not smart tv and channel dont come in. Phone in room broken and asked to fix but never did.

Was not very happy with the property we got there and checked in on a Sunday and the big pool was closed the whole time there was construction and banging with a hammer the whole time of my stay and I complained about it and they said that they were not going to compensate me in anyway so I would not go back again and I would not recommend it to anyone

Every member of the staff was extremely helpful and they gave on vacation. we were very happy to have an oceanfront balcony

Excellent Resort and beautiful right on the beach. The only reason I gave it a four is because the walls are very thin and you could hear everything in the halls. Also the balconies have no privacy whatsoever. If you want to sit out and have a drink or coffee you're sitting right next to the other people on the balcony but everyone was so extremely nice.

A hidden gem. Pool area was quiet M-Th. Weekend gets a bit busier but you can escape to their private beachfront for a more relaxed vibe. Prices for breakfast were normal. And their happy hour prices were great. The staff was super friendly, nice and accommodating. Great memories.

This is one of my favorite vacation spots. Everything was wonderful. Bathrooms could still use some updates.

Staff was friendly…especially Kriss. He ran around when someone was a bit late and was very helpful. Hotel was very clean. Beach was amazing. Was a relaxing and satisfying mini vacay to recharge.

Super clean, super friendly staff, great food, and the pool was amazing! Also a short trip to Fort Lauderdale the sea was fun

There was hair all over the floor and on shower walls. The shower had mildew and cracked areas. In general, the bathroom needs some repair and deep cleaning. The staff was friendly, but did not follow through with my request to fix the shower drain issue. Housekeeping came every day, but the same dirty areas remained. That indicates poor management of the employee performance. Perhaps a periodic management inspection. We walked over the same debris (torn cloth) laying in the floor aisle way from the elevator area. It became a joke because it laid there 5 days despite housekeeping walking over it all day. Bottom line, I will not stay there again until I read about a renovation. Food was good, staff friendly, lots of amenities, beach service was good, valet was good, location was great. Housekeeping and room condition was poor. It would be inexpensive to renovate the restroom to a decent condition.

It was perfect for what we were looking for. Nothing fancy, room was big. Bathroom hadn't been updated in a long time. Beach was really nice and our partial ocean view with a balcony was really nice!!

Is my second time here and I plan to come back, the view is amazing, the pool waiter is fantastic, you can get everything inside the hotel (food, drinks), no need to leave the premises, last day you can still use the pool and beach until you want to go home…

Have been coming here for 4 years on a row. Unfortunately this time they give me room that was probably storage room at some point. Bad insulation, first floor. You can hear every single noise. Very disappointing because I love this place. Food is amazing. Pool is nice and beach is the best.

I liked the service we received on the beach

Nice beach, pools are good. Rooms are a little dated, and the villa specifically felt both poorly laid out and just not that clean or well maintained. We spent one night in the hotel and that room was nicer. Overall my family had fun, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

We checked in on Monday evening on 4-13 and the young man at the check-in was rude and short with us. Was not a good start to our stay. This person also happened to be there when we checked out and had the same attitude. Not a good fit for someone in hospitality. The rest of the staff was great and we enjoyed the stay.

The hotel and the amenities were nice and the staff were nice as well. I loved the ambiance of the hotel and the location on the beach and to local spots in the area. The hotel room with the view was really nice and overall the stay was pleasant. My only concern was the condition of the bathroom. It was pretty outdated and not what was expected from the pictures. There was also an issue with hair on the walls of the bathtub and the tub drain slow to drain that was reported a few times. The assistant manager reported he would resolve the issue and adjust the cost of our stay, so I am hoping he keeps his word.

We stayed one night at the Beachcomber. Overall it exceeded our expectations. The location was good, the rooms were clean and the grounds were very nice. Overall the staff was attentive. The only concern that I have is that we were not told about a $45 resort fee when we reserved the room nor when we checked in.

They have thought of everything at this resort. From Lemon water on the beach to great hours for every food place there. Ethan was So impressive & took care of us the whole time. He always went above the normal to make sure we were happy. Rooms were partial view but honestly still Amazing views from those. We typically stay on the gulf but wanted a quick trip so we ended up here for a few days. It was Awesome !! Highly recommend 👍

The location is great! The room was big and comfy. Great amenities. Loved the beach and friendly staff. Close to Fort Lauderdale and plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby. Felt very safe to walk out at night. The parking fee was very reasonable compared to other hotels. Would definitely come back .

The building is old. Room was clean and the view was great. Cleaning staff were really friendly and helpful. Checkin staff not so much. Bit cold & not friendly upon checkin & checkout. Parking is $18 a day whether you use valet or self park. Don’t think I would book again.

Very relaxing environment. Pool area and beach great! Pool area service was friendly and timely. Prices are reasonable for food/drinks. This is not a Ritz Carleton, but has a friendly service oriented vibe where everything you’d want for a few days away is at your fingertips.

The property needs a major overhaul, straight out of the sixties; our room smelled and inundated with ants. Climate control in our room was inoperable, and the keycard had to be renewed frequently. Small TV’s with limited channels, slow WiFi, desk only manned by two people during checkout. Not recommended, especially for this price point

Room was clean, view was great! The hotel its self was so cute and smelled really good! Water taxi across the street was cool, walkable to the pier (10-15 min) Fort Lauderdale beach was about a 25 minute drive as well. Would stay again

The pool was very nice. Nice seating etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Tiki Bar at the Deep was very great, very comfortable. Food was ok. Not much of a restaurant sort of all blended into one for lunch and dinner. My room was on the 1st floor overlooking the pool. It smelled really musty. Bad. There was an overturned, belly up copper colored bug about 2 inches long, with a lot of legs overturned near bathroom. Ugh. There was an outside area. Which was great to have being on the ground floor with 2 lounge chairs. The location was excellent with being right on the beach!

Finally, the website states that self-parking is free but the hotel informed us upon arrival that self-parking was the same cost as valet which makes no sense. I’ve never been to a hotel or self parking in valet is the same price. When I mentioned this to the person who checked me in, she didn’t even respond to me and so that’s why I never mentioned the bathroom issue. I felt that she wasn’t gonna be responsive to that issue, they certainly weren’t gonna be responsive to my bathroom issue so I said nothing.

We had a lovely patio area and hung out there. The bathroom could definitely use an upgrade. The dispensers didn’t work. The tub felt slippery. There was a coffee maker with tiny pods. A small fridge and no microwave. Food was ok. I never return food. My eggs could’ve been cooked another minute. We ordered breakfast sandwiches one morning and he said, let me know if they’re too burnt and I’ll make you another. After waiting 20 min we were not sending them back and we ate them. But, we really should’ve sent them back. Wait staff and was great!

Try to get a room on the upper floors with a view of the pool and ocean. We will be back!

The place is fine. But if you want more than just fine probably stay somewhere else. Clean room but no frills at all. Staff was nice. Coffee downstairs good. That's about it.

Stayed here for a girls’ trip. Food and drink were good, Service and staff attitude were inconsistent. Some were very helpful while others had to be reminded of various requests. The grounds were nice but the website photos made it look better. The pool and rooms were misleading, outdated and disappointing. Very family oriented with lots of kids but TV channels were spotty and no option for streaming. Few shops and options within walking distance for restaurants, bars, etc..

We had a great time. The room was clean and staff was great. Claudia is our absolute favorite. Even when we weren't in the pool area, she always said hi.

The resort has it all!!! We lived the reserved beach space with chairs and umbrellas. The music on the weekends added the amazing vibe we needed. We ate at the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed both meals on the beach. The space on the balcony was generous. $18 valet was very reasonable and appreciated. Our only complaint was the noise from the hallway…sound traveled. We will return!

It was a great long weekend away from home after a long winter. The staff were helpful and we loved the convenience of being beachside and poolside.

Great location and wonderful staff!

Amazing location on the beach with umbrellas and chair service included. The balcony was huge with a great view and spacious in the junior suite. They let us checkout and stay on the private beach and use the pool and restrooms until late in the afternoon which gave us an extra day on the beach.

Cons- no microwave, mini fridge was definitely mini compared to most basic hotel mini fridges. mirrors were VERY limited. This was a struggle with 3 women getting ready. No body length mirror either, Had to stand on the bed to get a look at your outfit. Balconies not private and the partial ocean view was disappointing. If we moved our chairs to view the ocean we were looking right at our neighbors( all of them, the whole length of resort) and couldn't see the ocean unless standing. If we looked straight ahead we had a great view of the roof. If you want true ocean view, pay the extra. Over all great hotel for simple relaxing vacation. Not close walking distance to things. Pompano Area not a ton of things to do for family. About 25 ish drive to fort Lauderdale and we drove hr to Miami to keep teenage kids entertained.

We enjoyed our stay here. The pool and private beach were close enough to easily walk to while still healing from knee surgery. The food at the restaurant was very good but choose wisely. They will accommodate changing sauces and such with some of the meals. The bartender was very skilled. The room did feel a bit tired and while the nightstands come equipped with charging options both might not be plugged into a power source. We liked the balcony overlooking the pool, but they are close to each other so not very private. TV reception was digitizing on every channel so not much to do on a rainy day. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Was a little misleading at first getting king suite cuz they put us on first floor and the view is definitely partial ocean from there. I did express concerns and they did fix it. We would 100 percent come back

The restaurant on site regularly had excellent food. Fresh and well-made, from appetizers and breakfast to dinner! Awesome oysters, and app’s at happy hour. We loved eating here while having good live music playing in the evening! That was a bonus. We loved eating there, and with a great view of the beach! The food is consistently excellent here.The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, and Matt was the best server! He made your experience dining a good one, was always upbeat and easily accommodated our dietary needs.(Gluten free). We also loved the service on the private beach. It was never overly crowded and the beach attendant Chris always made sure to find us loungers and was quick to put up an umbrella too. Very attentive. They would even serve you food or drinks if wanted at the beach or pool. Hard to believe this was only a three star resort. By the way, our room was actually cleaned daily & without having to ask. I liked that. Would definitely return. The best decision we made was to get an oceanfront room! So well worth it. We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean and relaxing on our balcony, on our loungers while looking at the beautiful ocean and drinking our espressos!! Good coffee bar near the lobby if you didn’t want the espresso coffee machine in your room. Would definitely return.

It’s was a lovely stay

My mom died so I booked the room for my Dad. A week before arrival his dad died so we called the desk and they said manager Carol will cancel since your within cancellation period and I just needed to call hotels.com. When they called she denied approval and refused to cancel or call me back after calling multiple times until Friday at 4pm before arrival. One time a receptionist even checked her office to let me know she was there and I was still sent to voicemail. I decided to make the trip instead of loosing out all the money and I'm glad I didn't send my Dad. Questionable cleanliness and management for SURE. Lots of dirt in the corners and black hairs all over the bathroom (I have blonde hair). The sink was falling apart and the staff didn't clean the soap scum off the bottles on the wall. Not what I expected after booking such an expensive oceanfront room at a resort but should have guessed considering the manager.... yikes !

Only issues were the very musty/moldy smell in my room and the hot water never got that hot. Otherwise, nice place with a great rate.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Beachcomber Resort! The hotel staff, from check-in to the restaurant, pool and beach attendants, bartenders, etc. were friendly and solicitous. The grounds were beautiful, with two pools and a recreation area with cornhole and ping-pong. It was cool the first two days of our stay, but we still enjoyed a swim in the pool which was heated to about 80 degrees. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar every night along with the musical entertainment. The food was great at the bar and at Deep restaurant. The view from our balcony was awesome, overlooking the resort and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is older, and while the rooms have been renovated and are very comfortable, the bathroom is dated but has been refreshed and is compact and efficient with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The Beachcomber is an oasis in the midst of condominium row and had a more intimate, community vibe rather than that of a hotel chain. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Gorgeous beach

Love this gem of a resort! The rooms are lovely, the front desk staff was helpful, the staff on the beach setting up umbrellas and chairs were terrific! Great beach atmosphere with a little extra! The coffee bar in the morning was a great way to start my day! A lovely walk to the Pompano pier! I hope to come back!

The resort was in a great location. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly.

Loved the room which was a mini suite. Clean, spacious with plenty of supplies. Best location right on the beach plus it included beach lounge chairs and umbrella. So worth it. Will stay here longer next year.

The place itself is adequate with two pools and beach access, that’s the plus. The restaurant is also good with average to above average food. The rooms are not comfortable. No place to sit except one chair. The TV is from 1980. Then there’s the staff. Zero hospitality. 7am and they’re talking loud in the hallways. At check out, not even a “How was your stay?”. I won’t be back here. It’s a solid 3. That’s it.

The room has an ocean view. The view is magical. But the room smells strongly of fragrance. The bathroom drains poorly. The room is spacious, and the most important thing is the ocean view.

The staff at the front desk was not very helpful or knowledgeable about the area. The entrance, pool area and beach are beautiful, updated, and very nice. But, I would be a miss to say it feels like a bait and switch when you get to the rooms. The hallways are “backwards in the sense that the service elevator, staircase, and maids service areas are in the forefront … hallways feel like stuccoed or painted cinderblock with tile - feeling sparse, institutional, and rather amplifies sound. The room had newer items decorating but also seemed cold and the signage feels like a low end motel. Some rooms have a beautiful view but I’d say 30-49 rooms have an awful view of the roof . The air conditioning was so loud I couldn’t sleep at all . The cost of the room seemed on point for the downstairs amenities but over priced for the room quality, hotel atmosphere, and very small beds. I was excited when walking in and in the room felt like it was a waste of money. The breakfast cafe outsourced to locals was very good.

This was the perfect place to relax for a few days. Our biggest decision was whether to lounge at the beach or pool. The staff was wonderful—the live music was amazing! Our only small issue is that there’s no fitness room, but we made up for that with lots of beach walks. Overall, a great place & we’ll definitely return.

Our first contact when we arrived at the front desk was amazing. The young man who actually checked us in would benefit from some customer service training.

Had a good stay at this resort. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Resort amentities were as described, great pool and private beach access. Only a couple of things prevented this from being a 5 star stay. The bathroom in the lobby (mens) was not in good order throughout the entire stay. This made for a lot of unpleasant trips in there when you just needed a quick bathroom break while being on the property. Room (2 double) was fine, the balcony facing the pool was nice. The a/c was a bit noisy and as others have mentioned the walls are thin, you can hear a lot of movement from outside the room. We were pretty far down the hall and you can hear the elevator coming and going. I would recommend staying here but you may be overspending for complete value, but being right on the ocean in a high traffic area makes up for it.

The resort was nice but for the cost I expected a bit more. The resort and rooms were clean and the pool/beach were beautiful! The rooms were a bit dated in some areas - no towel hooks or full length mirror, bottle holders in bathroom were crusty/broken, and the shower didn’t drain. TVs in room weren’t smart TVs and the remote rarely worked. The resort didn’t have a fitness center or laundry (my fault that I didn’t check listing, I just expected they would). Almost daily we had to call down and request something housekeeping didn’t restock (washcloths, towels, coffee cups). You have to stop at a desk to get towels for the pool, but there was rarely someone there who to distribute towels so we often had to wait.

The location, the service, and the restaurant and bar are the best! We liked our room; however, updates are really needed especially the bathroom that needs updating.

The hotel was completely unprepared for the cold weather snap we were unlucky enough to experience - the rooms/hotel have NO heating and they did not have space heaters available. Our room was 63 degrees and we froze. We had to ask for extra blankets and had to wear our COATS in the room, in bed, under the covers to keep warm - there was no "enjoying" our room. They were completely unapologetic about the situation. Additionally, it happened to be "beach erosion restoration" week with huge heavy equipment trucks - excavators, dump trucks, other tractors that were staged RIGHT IN FRONT of our oceanview room Monday thru Friday from 6:45am to 4pm. Really?? We still had to pay $40 a day resort fee for a beach we could not use or enjoy. Again, not a peep from the hotel staff about it or offer of compensation. And to add insult to injury, there were 2 or 3 very long, dark hairs on our towels in the bathroom. Disgusting. So disappointed in this trip. Not once did they ask how our stay was going nor extend an apology for the lack of preparedness or the unexpected loud, ugly, huge Tonka truck operation going on all week in front of our room starting at the crack of dawn. The room did have a beautiful view (once the heavy equipment stopped running after 4pm) but the room is really dated with kind of cheap materials. Someone could take this place over, put some money in it and it could be pretty great but I will NEVER go back. I was never so excited for "vacation" to be over.

I had a partial Ocean view but I saw the Ocean, the pool and the beach from my balcony. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The weather was cold so I didn’t get to take advantage of the pool or the beach but others did so the pool must be heated. Very nice.

From the wait staff, beach staff, front desk to the cleaning staff everyone was super friendly. Clean room with wonderful view, great food and beverages. Other guests super friendly- terrific vacation spot.

Location is wonderful and that snd the solid staff are tops. Resort should have better provided heating lamps for dining, as many others did during very cold period. Bathrooms are now in need of some freshening deterioration evident since previous visit But great spot we would like to keep visiting and recommending if they stay current.

The place is not 4 star! . I mistakenly booked for the wrong night and they would not give me a refund and had to pay 480 dollars!. We arrived and are here for 2 nights so it's not like they lost that much money. No inside dining and it is cold outside so had to find another place to eat. The room is not four star! Hallways are dirty and the place is old and tired.

The only issue we had, and it is somewhat out of the hands of the resort, is the constant heavy machinery moving sand on the beach. We didn't sit on the beach due to the endless construction machines and trucks going back and forth all day starting early in the morning. These vehicles were loud and interrupted the peace of the ocean.

Rooms were clean, spacious and somewhat modern. Nicely decorated in upscale taste and style. The balcony was a nice feature. Location is fine, in close proximity to the beach. The AC-Heating system was noisy and outdated. The Bathroom had no exhaust fan/ ventilation, every shower left condensation on walls and mirror. Our room had a coffee machine but no water. The coffee machine was DOA. The staff was friendly and helpful, for the most part, throughout our stay. Facility was fairly noisy, loud banging doors echoed through the halls, it annoyed us most days, until night time. We sat on the beach but were soon chased away for not reserving a chair, that was an unpleasant experience. Two nice swimming pools. Restaurant was somewhat open to the weather and cold during our visit, and dimly lit. Food choices were limited and pricey. Resort Fees and Parking Charges add more than $60 to the daily cost. Description says "Optional Valet", but it's not optional, it's mandatory, if you park on the site. If you don't use the beach or pool, you are still charged for it.

Room cleanliness like the bathroom was OK but it seems to me they never cleaned the floor. Staff is OK. Amenities are good. I liked the gaslit fireplaces at night and the hammocks. But I had to pay for an umbrella and a lounge chair on the beach, which they said was private. Not cool..

We are outside people and the pool area and beach area were great as well as the breakfast cafe & restaurant was top notch. The room we had was a bit dated and had some kind of fan or high pitch motor running we could hear from our room that was a bit annoying but all and all a great trip!

The room was clean and the balcony view was good. Excellent service at pool and restaurant. Live music on the beach in front of the restaurant, bar and fire pit. The valet was very quick.

My only suggestions: please provide bottled water in the room. It is such an omission as to give a good review rather than excellent. I was happy that there was a very nice coffee bar in our suite. Also, I felt the cleaning staff could do a better job cleaning the floors (sandy)

The room was in good condition, it was sparsely but nicely furnished. We had a room with a balcony facing the ocean. The staff was helpful. They host weddings, and unfortunately, do not have control of rowdy guests. Many were "overserved" at the bar. They also do not book those attending an event in a block of rooms. We were interspersed, and it was the atmosphere of a loud frat party all night in the rooms and hallways. Inexplicably, they have doorknockers on some rooms, and they are very loud. The door keys seem to fail every couple of days so we needed to go back to the front desk frequently. The safe failed three times and we gave up using it. The beach area is kept clean and amply staffed for all needs. The resort fee is $40 a night per couple. They have entertainment ever night.

Great food and great service.

This resort was top notch and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice for our two nights stay. Room was very clean, spacious, and well put together. The staff was friendly and professional and were there to help. This is truly a resort we will stay at if ever in the area again.

The photos will fool you, this place is pretty run down. We stayed 4 nights and 2 days we had problems with the toilet not flushing (neighbors also had this problem). The internet is terrible. Our remote didn’t work and maintenance said it was just a problem with the cable, it wasn’t, the cable worked just fine when I set up the remote app on my phone. The floors were sticky and dirty. The staff were all very nice though.

They really know how to run a report. Everything we wanted was available.

Staff is great. So accommodating and courteous. Be aware there is construction going on next door, so expect machine noise on the beach. The beachfront restaurant was delicious. Highly recommended. The hotel hallways are not carpeted, so it can be loud and you can hear it from your room. Would recommend this hotel!

The pictures are a world apart from the actual property. We stayed for 1 night thankfully because more than that I would of changed hotels. Staff was friendly at least.

The amenities, bar, restaurant and location were very good. The rooms need a major facelift. Our room overlooking the pool had a lot of hazards. You had to step up to get in your room. The bathtub was extremely slippery. It did not have a bath mat nor bar to grab onto. There was also another raised floorboard near bathroom that was a tripping hazard. The bathroom had no towel bars to hang your towels. The toilet was extremely low to the ground. There was an exposed pipe under the sink. The towels were not very soft. I felt the hotel was over priced.

If you don’t have a car (like we didn’t) then the only draw back is that restaurants off the resort are a 15/20 min walk away.

The resort was lovely, pool was warm and the beach was great. The room service was good but when dining in the restaurant the service was not great. The room was a tad outdated, the TV was basic cable and we couldn’t use any of our own streaming services, the beds were really small (felt much smaller than a double), the walls were very thin so you could hear every word that was said in the hallway and the tub was very slow to drain causing it to fill up. Overall a great experience for the price.

Property was overall beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. The music was exceptionally good and really added to the stay. Most staff members were exceptional. Rooms were beautifully decorated but they seemed unfinished. Exposed plumbing was tacky, our biggest complaint was the dirty floors making your feet black when you walk barefoot. Dinner was terrible and overpriced but appetizers and the very limited breakfast with most of the items being pre-made was good. Coffee options and smoothies were great. With just a few updates this place could be awesome.

The breakfast was incredible, and fairly reasonably priced. Although we did not have time to enjoy the property as our stay was due to a late night flight cancellation the attached beach area and pool area looked quite inviting. We did notice that there are a significant amount of rules for guests however, being a resort full of families, I do think that those rules are likely necessary to try to keep people happy. One of our rooms was not as clean as we would have liked and the building is a bit dated and run down in some areas but I would consider staying again if in the area.

Cons: $18 fee for parking, not mentioned in the listing. Bath towels felt like sand paper when drying off. The laminate floor in the room felt as if it had been mopped using an oil based cleaner. The coffee maker was VERY loud and single serve pods (NOT eco -friendly). Old hotel, renovated DIY style. Overall it was a good stay, but the listing photos make it appear to be "luxurious". It is not. However, friendly staff and beach front was nice. Also, I called the day of check in and was told I could check in early at 2:00pm. We amended our travel plans for this adjustment, but upon arrival we were told our room was not ready. Not cool, but they accommodate a late check out at noon, so that was nice.

I got violiantly I'll at Ligan airport 45 minutes before departure. I had to cancel my trip. Ended up with the Norovirus. The hotel wouldn't even consider reimbursing me for the 3 night stay OR offer a credit to go back

Stay overall was good, really liked the beach with complimentary towels, chairs and umbrellas. Liked the bar and restaurant attached as well, didn’t need to leave at all to relax. Room was decent, bed was comfortable and clean, wish it was more soundproof. They placed me across from the pool pump room and could hear it very loudly inside my room constantly. When asked front desk about it they said oh yeah it is loud, with no offer to change rooms or have any ear plugs. I also didn’t like that they didn’t take into consideration being a solo female traveler and placed me on the first floor.

Food prices were extremely high, drinks were ok, food was fine. Bed was super comfy.

If you have special dietary needs this place is not the place for you. Some staff were friendly and helpful while the other staff left lots to be desired; just like the property. The only thing going for this place is the beautiful view of the ocean.

We booked this hotel because they have rooms with direct view to the ocean directly from the bed. We absolutely loved it all. Beach service was so fast and friendly. The bar had great food and drink options with live music. They have everything we wanted and more. I wish I discovered this place before. I will definitely be back.

Location

Beachcomber Resort in Pompano Beach is a pleasant oceanfront hotel. While the property has its years, we were given a spacious room with a beautiful ocean view, which made our stay very enjoyable. The beach was just a few steps from the room and felt very nice and relaxing. Overall, the location right by the ocean and the easy access to the beach create a great atmosphere for a relaxing stay.

The room was nice but you will have to step up into it. No ice machine on floor. The biggest problem i have is my bill. I charged my dinner to the remaining balance of my bill. I paid $ 292.83 on my card with a remaining $90 to paid at the end of my stay, with the dinner bill of $97.53. My bill at CHECK OUT $223.93. FOR TAXES AND RESORT FEES. THATS A ridiculous and bull crap. Florida sucks

Hotel is awesome. The room door kind of was dysfunctional so it was hard to open but Food was awesome being on the beach is great. Pool is super warm. It was awesome.

Beautiful resort

Check in was great. Was excited to get an updated room. It looked very nice. BUT… the A/C was a wall unit that wasn’t working right. It kept turning off the A/C mode and switching to fan mode. This resulted in damp floors the whole time we were there. Also, no one repleshed coffee pods or clean towels. Never saw a housekeeper.

We found the rooms to be dingy when you looked at the details. Otherwise the setup is great... 205 is an anomaly ask for a room with a view. only a few do not have one. As a hotel its not the best, but the location is unbeatable. And the common areas really are quite nice. Enjoy!

Although the location is awesome, we had issues this trip. Chuck and technically is at four, but we tried at one and then at three and then a little after four and they kept telling us the room wasn’t ready yet. Until she actually tried to call housekeeping and housekeeping was gone in the room had been ready. They just hadn’t checked it off in the system apparently. We were exhausted and would’ve appreciated if she prior to after four to make sure that our room really wasn’t ready. The front desk person didn’t give us clear directions on where our room was located. I didn’t realize it was in a different building and we walked around. It just took us a long time to actually find it. And then it was very hard to get the door open. We tried several times and couldn’t get it open. We didn’t get any clear direction on how to get the door open. I tried calling the front desk, cause I was just so tired by this point from walking around trying to find the room and I was immediately put on hold and nobody to the phone. A maintenance man finally did come after my husband walked to the front desk and he did get the door open, but apparently he knew the truck. to top everything off they were having a big, loud event that was taking place right outside our room, and the music was thumping until 11 pm. Not a great start to our trip. I also feel like the quality of the food at the restaurant isn’t like it used to be. Other. Hotels before we go back beachcomber.

The layout of the room was odd but it was nice and clean. Also quiet. The staff was friendly and professional. The bar food was good. And the beach was beautiful! We had a very relaxing couple of days and definitely recommend it.

Nice place,very clean. Room not top of the line but clean, comfortable bed, nice balcony, very good size. Staff very nice and helpful. I would stay again. The only complain we had was the drinks were watered down. We would’ve spent more time at the lounge as it was so nice, outside, live music.

Rooms were clean, staff friendly. Television had "clean remote" from COVID days and not actual remote. This made it impossible to use smart features and we missed some big football games because of that issue. Otherwise, Deep was a great restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice.

The room was not completely clean, or cleaned. The only thing that was cleaned was the beds and new towels were replaced. The floors were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. They didn’t vacuum or wash the floors the bathrooms. Trash was removed, which is good. I also suggest the hotel replacing the beach loungers on the beach, very uncomfortable and very old and dirty. Everything else was awesome. The atmosphere of the food the drinks coffee at the coffee shop was amazing. I would rate this hotel overall five out of 10.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with that classic beachy charm. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, always making sure guests feel taken care of. We loved the pool area, the easy access to the beach, and the overall peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a beautiful beach getaway. The hotel staff was really kind and helpful when it came to my key card not working multiple times. Servers and cleaning crew were wonderful. Amazing food for breakfast and dinner. And the hotel was clean all around.

I did not feel the FOH service was exceptional, sub par at best.

Negatives- bathroom in our room was dirty. Like other peoples hair and toothpaste on the vanity. No outside drinks or food at pool or ocean ended up getting inconvenient and how many times can we eat from one restaurant?! Staff at the restaurant- weirdly rude OR cheesy upselling every second.

Hard to sleep at night

Great stay.

Room was nice but the setup was unconventional. Lots of dead space that could be used to have a larger, more updated bathroom. There is no full body mirror in the room and the rooms on the first floor are subjected to the very loud pool mechanical room. You can basically hear everything in those rooms from the ring of the elevator to the sprinkler system turning on outside. The beach has quite a bit of debris up by the chairs and volleyball court. The restaurant and pool side/beach service is slow. They only let you have one towel for the beach/pool. With some minor tweaks, this could be a very nice resort worthy of a 4-5 star review.

We didn’t have the best weather but it was a terrific place with lovely staff and conveniently located right on a beautiful beach. Would stay here again!

This place has become our home away from home. Anytime we need a vacation, we come here - no question. The staff is amazing, the property is sensational, and we always have the best time. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a relaxing time away with a stunning view!

Our first impression of the resort was very nice until we got up to our room… the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap were all straight water. They diluted all containers to straight water. After having to go down to the front desk because the phone in the room did not work, maintenance brought us a big container of conditioner and we had to refill the pump in the shower ourselves. The TV did not work and maintenance asked which remote we had and we supposedly had a remote in our room that does not work with our TV? Odd… We asked if there was a microwave that we could use really quick to warm up our meals that we purchased from the hotel the night before and they told us that they will have to charge us $10 a day for a microwave… We just spent $78 on food at this hotel and you want to charge me $10 a day to warm up 1 quick meal? Plan on having bugs escort you to your room and keep you company as you make your way to your room. The lounge chairs that are provided at the beach have slats missing throughout the chair so you may find yourself on the ground at some point. A/C unit in the room is extremely loud and makes sleeping through the night pretty difficult.

Our stay here was amazing! We stayed for 5 nights and every member of the staff was amazing. The food and drinks were so good. Live music almost every day. Beach chairs and umbrellas were provided. The pool was also super nice!

We had an ocean front room. Great views. Sure would have appreciated coffee (not expresso) in the room. The expresso area had no trash bins so we kept taking out our trash. Had shower gel, shampoo but the pump was worthless to actually use. The wait staff in the restaurant were wonderful.

Everything was was fine till they gave me a bill for parking my own car across the street in a lot. Unbelievable. If I knew I was paying for parking I would had parked in hotel parking lot in front

The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean but small with 2 full size beds, not Queen. Very small fridge and small tv. The Deep restaurant on the property had decent appetizers but the entrees were not great. The drinks are not the best either. Luckily there are plenty of other spots to eat at near by with great drinks. Overall we had a nice stay at this location. Be aware no gym, but does have an inside bar that's open until 2am with live music and 2 outdoor pools.

The bathroom was not clean. The shower had paint peeling. The shower didn’t fully work half the water came from the shower head and other from the tub. There was mold under the sink and it smelled.

I only had one issue during my stay and they resolved it immediately. Best customer service I’ve seen at a non-chain hotel line EVER! Wish I had tried their newly renovated suite but the original was just as impressive. Will definitely be back.

Amazing place

The building is old (1960s) but the room was clean, spacious, and the VIEW whew. Its not a huge resort (which i prefer) but the food and drinks were quite good. The location is excellent so much to do. Unfortunately it was very windy and a high surf advisory so we did not get to enjoy the beachside chairs, etc. My wife said next year when we are down she wants to stay here again. Highly recommend.

The direct ocean view from our room was stunning!! We came in early and to our surprise received an upgrade on 2 rooms. The staff was friendly and attentive. The kids enjoyed the pool and hammocks, and we loved the beach access and long walks. The restaurant menu had enough variety. Would stay here again again for sure!!

Beach was right on the property. Two relaxing poolside area and night time music playing by the bar. Nice restaurant with the beach view. We come every year and enjoy our stay every time. We'll be back next year.

Beautiful hotel , we had pool view with partial ocean view and a big balcony . The room was spacious with all amenities. My only complain would be bathroom did not have any hanging space , there was lots just outside but some inside bathroom would be great . The restaurant had good food options and had a beautiful view, food was great .. Loved everything about it . Since beach is more private access it was calm and not crowded.

Loved the food, all of the restaurants and serving staff were excellent! However, our room was dated and we had literally no hot water. We requested maintenance 3x and nothing was done. The front desk staff was less than helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay! The ocean view room was immaculate and the overall value was excellent, with reasonable food and drink prices. We enjoyed consistent, very good food at the beach restaurant, where the servers were exceptionally attentive. The atmosphere was fantastic, thanks to the frequent live music, especially the lovely singer Molly Jean in the lobby bar. We are already planning to return at least once a year!

This was our third stay at the Beachcomber. We absolutely love the staff and property. Everything was wonderful as usual.

Pool was okay we did not have a direct beach view. It was odd to have to step up into room. Poor layout of room lots of open space and then a very small bathroom. Was dissapointed with the property.

The property is lovely and has been updated in appearance, with new furniture in the rooms and pool area. It is very clean. The pool area was lovely. Beach chairs and umbrellas are free, but there is a $40. resort fee to cover this. A mandatory $18/day parking fee is also in place, even if you self-park. The room was large but not too comfortable because of the lack of seating. One deak chair and one rattan chair were there, but it would have been nice to have a table and chairs in the room. The water pressure in the bathroom was absolutely terrible, and the soap and shampoo were inconvenient as they were attached to the wall and tiny quantities came out when you pumped the bottle. The pool towels were limited to one per person and very flimsy.

There was no gym and they charge you a 40 a day resort fee. I don’t know what for as no one waited on us on the beach or even opened our umbrella and set up or chairs. Balcony’s not private at all can see you neighbor of out at same time. I would not recommend this hotel.

So apparently the property was upgraded a couple years ago and downstairs. It looks wonderful and the rooms are.Meh… the bathroom. Looks like something from a motel six there was rust everywhere barely any water pressure I get that we are in a lot of moisture, but they need to do a lot more maintenance and upkeep the other thing I was told by the front desk that it was a fee to have valet park me every day, but they gave me a pass to park across the street in a parking lot I errantly assumed that I would not be charged for parking and I was $16 a day to park my own car and walk across a busy road every single day. When I question this on my bill and said I only used valet the first day they said oh no you get charged you just don’t have to tip valet that is so wrong there is nowhere else to park you cannot park on the street. There’s no parking lots around and so to park in an unoccupied lot across the street near a construction site. I had to pay $16 a day. they also build themselves out as a resort and charge a resort fee. There was nothing included in the resort fee. I’m not sure what I was paying for.

I had visited the Beachcomber on a previous trip and ended up renting one of the cabanas and stayed the day- which was wonderful! Claudia and Mike made that experience so great that on this recent trip, I booked the Beachcomber because I knew it would be a high-quality and enjoyable experience from food to service...and it was! Our server Matt and host, Brian, were also terrific. There are plenty of places to stay on the beach in Pompano, however, the friendliness and great service from your staff is what will keep me coming back. Well done!

What a great place to stay. Nestled between Fort Lauderdale and Boca, it’s the perfect half way point. The resort staff was incredibly kind and hospitable. The beach seating was perfect and loved the coffee shop in the morning. Food overall from the restaurant was slightly overcooked consistently, but still tasty. My one recommendation if you stay here is to request a room away from the elevator. It’s gets super noisy with the traffic in and out, especially during the late hours.

I really enjoyed my stay at Beachcomber Resort the staff were all fabulous. Helpful, Polite. There's a small plaza across the street you can walk to in order to get snacks, sodas, alcoholic drinks, lottery, sandwiches, and there is a small Bar/Grill there as well good for burgers, pizza, wings. The onsite restaurants were amazing. Try the Popsicle mimosa yum! The private beach is so relaxing. and the ocean is viewable from all the balconies one way or the other. Overall gorgeous and very tropical vibe.

Our stay at Beachcomber was wonderful! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made us feel right at home. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to an ocean view room, and the view was absolutely beautiful. I also noticed one of the team members was training someone, and it was clear she was in great hands with that morning crew —such a testament to the positive culture here. The room was amazing and the access to the beach was amazing! We came back to eat at the restaurant and use the cabanas! Max the server on the beach was amazing! He got us together with cocktails and little bites! We didn’t even have to get up from our chairs on the beach! Overall an amazing place! We will be coming back for the full stay next time!

Property has a lot to offer. The restaurants were good, nice bar and the pool was nice. They offer beach chairs which is a plus.

I will start off by saying that if you are looking for a peaceful quiet stay, this hotel is NOT it. The walls are super thin. I could hear every conversation from my neighbors balcony and room. You could even hear when people walk near room including housekeeping. They offered no microwave in the entire hotel and when i asked they told me i needed to pay $10 a night for one. The tub was dirty and didnt drain properly. So even if they did clean it the residue still stayed. They balcony furniture looked run down that i didnt even want to sit out there. Other than that the hotel was ok. The restaurant was probably the only best thing i enjoyed bc the food was food and the price was reasonable.

Our stay at the Beachcomber resort was excellent . Our room was perfect and we had a wonderful view of the beach from the balcony. We spent much of our time at the beach and pool; both were really nice, well kept and relaxing. We ate several meals at the Deep restaurant on property and loved everything. Shout out to Matt at the Deep and pool service. He has such a fun personality! We had not visited Pompano beach before and fell in love with the area. We definitely will be back

Staff was excellent. We stayed in Villa 905. It was really old, needing Renos. The tile was cracked, the place was just in really rough shape. Definitely not worth the price we paid. I would give it a 2 star accommodation rating.

The resort is very nice, clean, and the location is awesome. The staff were very attentive, especially Brittany, Matt and Claudia. I’m vegan, and really would have loved more options for me on the menu. Brittany saved the day by trying to at least get me something to eat. I would definitely recommend to others. Thxs for a great staycation!!

It’s a family owned resort so there’s no corporate office, no name tags, no accountability. Be very careful. We just got back after visiting from New York. I was at the pool and my husband was in the shower with a do not disturb sign on the door. My husband thought he heard something so he walked out naked from the shower and saw the manager Carol (or so they say as there are no name tags) in the room with the door open. she let herself into the room after she knocked and no one responded. My husband was completely naked yet, she continued to ask for a different card as the one on file was declined. (We’re traveling and it was flagged for fraud). She didn’t even try to call or email or call room or wait to try again after I got a notification only 5 minutes before ! Again I was in the pool. With 2 kids. When I asked why she didn’t just call me she said she didn’t check to see if there was a phone number on file. Didn’t take responsibility and was super nasty insisting that was policy. I have NEVER in my life heard of a hotel policy where management can let themselves into the room requesting a different card. She admitted that she knocked, and nobody answered and still let herself in has she stated that even with the do not disturb sign she’s had people leave without paying in the past. I’m not sure what she was trying to achieve other than going into my bag and personally taking a credit card.

The valet parking was very convenient. You can self park if you prefer but you still have to pay the same for daily parking so why not use the valet service. We did accidentally lose one of our wristbands and had to pay $25 to replace it. That was a costly mistake on our part but $25 seemed a little high for a rubber wristband.

Resort was very nice, and staff was very friendly/helpful. The only thing i didnt like was some individuals smoking weed in the balcony close to us.

The establishment was exceptionally pleasant and exhibited a relatively low level of congestion in comparison to other accommodations I have visited.

Checking in was easy and smooth. The room was clean. They charge you 18 dollars a day to park even if you don’t valet we had handicapped and still was charged they also add 40 dollars a day for resort fee. Yet I did not see what made it a resort. If you leave anything behind and try to call I was shipped from one person to another with lengthy hold times only to be told by front desk they would tell housekeeping then hung up with no way to find out how to obtain some items

Beautiful property. Great service and staff. Clean, affordable and relaxing. We visit annually. This year I've been able to enjoy this property three times.

The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The bath towels felt like sandpaper and it actually hurt to dry off. The hotel staff was not friendly at all and often made us feel like we were inconveniencing them.

Rooms need a little bit of tlc and balconies are dirty , people are very friendly valet is amazing and multiple things to do. Loved the fact of live music. Would definitely go again
