Guests consistently express satisfaction with their stay at this hotel, highlighting its cleanliness, convenient location, and friendly staff. The rooftop restaurant is a popular feature, offering good food and views. However, some guests have complained about noise issues, particularly from the train and light rail, and a few have mentioned problems with water pressure.

Very nice hotel with professional, helpful staff throughout
- 5/5
Corner room was gorgeous with lots of light. Rooftop restaurant was also very lovely. Bathrooms need some better lighting. Valet service was really helpful and quick. Also, loved having the ability to charge our car while valeted.
- 5/5
This hotel was perfect for our concert trip! 🎶 The short walk to the Moda Center was super convenient, and the service from the moment we arrived was fantastic. The valet was quick and efficient, though $43 a night could add up for longer stays. I loved the little touches, like having the door opened for me. The rooftop restaurant offered breathtaking views and delicious food! The comfortable beds and spotless rooms were a huge plus. I'd definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Nice hotel room with an excellent rooftop restaurant. Parking is a bit expensive as valet required but our vehicle was available within minutes. The surrounding area was a bit disappointing with a lot of homeless people and shady transactions taking place. This despite being close to the convention center and sports venue, but that’s a city of Portland problem.

Everything was perfect, staff was helpful, room was spotless clean city view was beautiful, i will be back❤️

Good stay

Pro: Small but nice room, good bathroom, great restaurant on the roof. Con: weak gym, outside way too many homeless, police, crime.
- 3/5
Great location close to the Moda Center. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. Restaurant on site provided great service with lots of options for food.
- 5/5
Great location/staff. Easy parking.
- 5/5
Love this hotel: staff, easy parking, convenient for getting to all areas of Portland (close to freeways).
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Had a quick stay but a lovely time. Highly recommend Hotel Eastlund

There was leftover food in our fridge from the previous occupants. The water pressure and shower are incredibly poor You were going to freeze in the shower because it’s barely outputting any water and the bathroom is not sealed from the moon room. I had to hug onto the wall to get clean and spent a lot of time under the water just to make sure every part of me was thoroughly rinsed off with soap. The hotel staff doesn’t lock the soap dispensers on the wall, so they tend to fall off if you bump into them while trying to rinse off. Additionally, the TV channels don’t work due to signal issues in the hallways. The humidity is also extremely high.

That being said, I actually liked it better than staying right in the downtown area as it was much quieter here for nighttime sleeping. I had a car so I could drive downtown when I wanted. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Perfect stay
- 4/5
Great location in inner east side - wonderful for conventions and good as near our NE relatives home. Awesome staff. Wonderful Valet people. And the view from the rooftop Metropolitan Tavern is awesome. It can be a bit of a sketchy street level homeless situation on the sidewalks at time. Not super scary or anything - but makes you sigh. fine for people that can navigate that - but not for the city faint of heart.

- 5/5
Fast and easy check in and check out. Clean room. Great location. Love having a restaurant on site. We have stayed 5 times and will be back again.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Valet was worth it, never waited more than two minutes for our vehicle
- 5/5
I would rate this as one of my top 10 stays. Great value, when going through a 3rd party retailer, excellent room amenities, albeit a small space, and an outstanding restaurant on the top floor with incredible views of the city. And the happy hour food was outstanding. Every single staff member was courteous, friendly, and incredibly polite and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again.

- 4/5
The restaurant is not great. I was surprised by the lack of flavor and then too much flavor at the same time. It was slow service. The chicken was dry, the tomato sauce was like tomato soup, and the wedge salad was good aside from the large amount of fatty brisket that was way too spicy. It just was disappointing to have nearly inedible food in a nicer restaurant.
- 4/5
Walking distance to Moda Center
- 5/5
Great location for games at Moda Center, great restaurant and rooftop patio, super friendly staff everywhere, spent about $200 for one night including parking. I have no complaints!
- 3.5/5
Great hotel Very comfortable bed The trains are too loud on one side and the trash service is too loud on the other side
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
What stood out most was the housekeeping service. At check-in, I was asked about my room cleaning preferences, so I never had to call every day to request service. On one occasion, I called the front desk around 5 PM to ask about having my room cleaned, and they took care of it right away. The staff was friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout my stay. Thank you for the excellent service—I would happily stay here again.
- 1/5
Additionally, I had a very disappointing experience with a front desk employee, a Caucasian woman with black hair and glasses, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. After accidentally cutting my thumb, I went to the front desk to request a few bandages. She initially told me that they were not allowed to provide bandages to guests. I explained that I had called the front desk beforehand and was instructed to come down to pick some up. She then asked how many I needed. When I requested four bandages, she responded that I could purchase them because her director did not allow her to give them away for free. I asked if she could speak with her director. She went into the back office, where I could hear her arguing with someone, and eventually returned with a few bandages. She then stated, “Since you’re upset, my manager will waive them.” I found this response inappropriate and unnecessary. I explained that I had been staying at the hotel for three days and was paying approximately $100 per night, yet the hotel was unwilling to provide a few basic bandages as a courtesy. Her response was simply, “Yeah, that’s the rate.”

Room was comfortable and had what you’d need. Rooftop bar was lovely. Comfy robe and plenty of towels.

Very clean and very well maintained. We had the most amazing time and experience stay in the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Another great stay at this hotel. Nice location for walking to venues east of the river. We really prefer staying on the east side of Portland. If you're driving your vehicle will be very safe. Looking forward to our next visit!

I loved everything all was amazing we could have used some more sugars in our coffee packs maybe consider putting4 instead of 2 in the bags all everything else was wonderful
- 5/5
The suite was comfortable, from the stocked bar to the linens and fur throw we felt like we were in a nice apartment. Despite being close to the Max it was quiet and the blackout curtains made rest easy to find. We have always enjoyed the food at Metropolitan Tavern though we did not visit this trip. The overall highlight was the crib was already delivered and our 8 month old slept soundly through the night. No microwave in the room. Bathroom shower is impossible to turn on without getting wet first, not ideal. Also no shower door.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, good location and great rooftop bar
- 5/5
Staff very helpful, comfortable mattress
- 5/5
Clean roof, close to Moda and rooftop bar
- 5/5
Nice hotel, very close to Modal Center (we safely walked). Valet parking. The staff were great and the restaurant was AMAZING! Loved the drinks as well as the food! Breakfast was delicious as well!
- 4/5
The gym is so convenient. I do think having a breakfast provided would improve your hotel.

Hotel is in a great location for events! The staff was great, the view was great at the hotel restaurant. :) The menu choices are a little different so before committing to eating there you may want to take a look at the menu. I will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
I needed to make a fast transition from an in-person afternoon session with a client to a remote, evening session with another client. The check-in process was fast, giving me the time I needed to get set up. I finished by evening session at about 9:30 PM and was delighted that the rooftop restaurant was still open. The rooftop restaurant was delightful, not just sustenance. The buffalo-style cauliflower was especially good. The art--in the foyer, in the halls--objectifies women's bodies. Not thoughtful. Not considerate. Thankfully it wasn't carried into my room.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve rented from this establishment twice and loved it. One king room bed was so comfy and plenty of space to walk around. One double queen room beds were comy but the actual space was a lil tight. Noise level was very nice.
- 5/5
The room key being required in the hotel to use the elevator was a bit of a hassle at times just because if you didn't time it right you'd have to scan your key again. Will definitely be considering this hotel again should I be attending another con in the future!!
- 3/5
fun, cozy convenient area with lots to foodie spots nearby

Staff was rude. Parking wasn’t included
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was helpful
- 5/5
Feel the parking cost could of been more reasonable.
- 4/5
The shower water pressure was the only thing that could have been better in our stay ( the pressure was low). If I return to Portland I will consider staying again at the Hotel.
- 4/5
Easy check in with pleasant staff. Hotel restaurant and rooms were very clean and welcoming.
- 5/5
Great location for us! Restaurant was top notch and walking distance to the Moda Center for a concert! And even got in a great workout in the gym!
- 4/5
The Hotel and staff were great. The Hotel and rooms were very nice and clean. The Rooftop restaurant has a great view but the food was just ok. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was that there is ALOT of homeless people in that area. Unfortunately I did not feel safe even walking across the street to Dennys. This seems to be a problem in that area , which is really a shame because the area has many nice Hotels.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Nicest hotel ive stayed in for the price point! Would definitely stay here again!

One thing I especially appreciated was how quickly and respectfully the team handled a concern I had regarding alcohol that had been left in the room. I reached out to the front desk, explained the situation, and they responded immediately without hesitation or making me uncomfortable. The alcohol was removed promptly, and the staff handled the matter with kindness, discretion, and professionalism. That level of understanding and customer care truly stood out to me and made me feel very supported during my stay.
- 5/5
Very nice and comfort place to stay.
- 5/5
Top shelf room. Very clean and well stocked. This is what I Invision as Five Star hotel.
- 4/5
Excellent service. Well maintained property
- 5/5
Clean, nice hotel
- 4/5
The staff was great - very friendly and helpful, especially the valet staff and front desk personnel. The hotel lobby felt very modern and boutique-y, which was nice but I was less impressed with the room. For one, the hotel was pushing us to buy wine, snacks, and even bottled water… everywhere I looked, there were items for sale. I guess this could be considered a “convenience” but I would have appreciated some free water. The bed was soooo comfortable and had great pillows. The rest of the furniture seemed cheap, though, and the A/C barely kept up with the unseasonably warm day/evening. Granted, we like it like an icebox but I don’t think the room got below 70. The bathroom was clean but the shower was pretty pitiful. Don’t get me wrong - it’s a nice hotel, comfortable and clean. But there are probably nicer ones out there for the price.
- 5/5
Great Hotel
- 5/5
This location is perfect for us. We didn’t eat at the restaurant upstairs this time because Portland does have a lot of great choices, however, it is good food, and I love the possibility of that. The room was clean as could be the bed was comfortable – I like everything about this hotel except perhaps valet parking.
- 5/5
One of our favorite places for the Wife and I to go for a quick date night or weekend getaway from the house, kids, and dogs. Centrally placed in the city. Walk to a Blazer/Fire game or hop the bridge into DT Portland. Or stay in, and take water breaks for nourishment at the rooftop bar. Either way the Eastlund is your home base for your city adventures.
- 5/5
The rooms were well maintained and tastefully decorated.
- 5/5
The room was very well kept and put together dual shower heads was fantastic!
- 5/5
The only downside was the nightly parking fee, which felt pretty steep. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Other than parking, the hotel is a decent place
- 5/5
The hotel is wonderful! Since it’s an executive hotel, it offers great options for dinner and happy hour. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was so kind and welcoming!! Even got to check in early. Clean facilities and great amenities! Close to the MAX and other public transportation.
- 2/5
Excellent staff. Really hard bed, really uncomfortable. The room AC didn’t feel like it was working. The room was at 75° when we got there and never got below 72° even at night even when we opened the window. The shower water pressure was really weak. And our room light turned on by itself multiple times while we were in the room.
- 5/5
Always awesome

An exemplary property. Everything was top notch.

NO MICROWAVE OVEN IN THE ROOM. SHOWER IS RAINFALL HAS NO PRESSURE BEHIND THE WATER STREAM. THE VALET PARKING IS NOT FUNCTIONING AS IT SHOULD….VERY CUMBERSOME.
- 5/5
Loved the room
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, and convenient location. Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Decent room, comfy bed and nice sheets. Water pressure in shower could have been better. The only real negative is the location — the train is pretty loud at all hours as are the transients that hang out outside the hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay. The hotel and room was nice and clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. Overall great experience.
- 3/5
Parking was expensive.
- 5/5
Not bad
- 5/5
We were so impressed with our stay! From check in to check out, everything was wonderful!
- 5/5
I have liked thi place for many years. And when things were not ok. I reached to them directly. They tried to make it right. I will stay again.
- 4/5
Room was very nice, staff was very kind!
- 4/5
Room was clean and it smelled nice. They offered few snacks and beverages as well as wine. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Lobby area was very well up kept.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel located right by the Moda Center and the Oregon Convention Center. Very helpful staff and clean comfy rooms. Would book here again.
- 5/5
The rooftop restaurant had a variety of foods and drinks, with a nice happy hour menu and spectacular views of the city. The price is very reasonable for the hotel and the restaurant. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would stay here again!
- 5/5
Properties well kept the rooms were great! The staff from the valet attendees to the front desk staff were just a pleasure to interact with. It’s one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time!!
- 5/5
Great place for an overnight passing through Portland. Super comfy bed, nice shower, and plenty of bathroom counter space. No microwave. Upstairs restaurant/bar is really nice and has good beer selection and vegan cauliflower wings!
- 5/5
We had a great stay at Hotel Eastlund for 2 nights. The front desk staff gave us some great suggestions for restaurants around Portland. I had read a number of reviews from people complaining about the noise from the train that goes right by the hotel. The room we were in was great and we barely heard any noise during the night. If the window was open you could definitely hear it though. Our room was pn the 5th floor directly above the entrance to the lobby. We were facing the street with the train but we had no noise issues. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. It was a great location for us as we were in town for a concert and the stadium was less than a 10 minute walk away.
- 4/5
Shower head not enough pressure
- 4/5
Clean room good view
- 5/5
Exceptional service.

Great staff will definitely recommend.

Beautiful property!!
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean and well maintained
- 5/5
Clean rooms.
- 5/5
Clean, modern, great customer service
- 5/5
The location is perfect for attending the Portland Oregon Convention Center. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. There is a coffee bar on lobby floor. The views are amazing. The Metropolitan Tavern is a restaurant and bar located on the roof top of the hotel and the views are spectacular. The weekend brunch is wonderful! Great Mimosa!
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly Hotel. The staff are always top notch. Close to the convention area, easy to get to the downtown or really anywhere from this location. Didnt try th bar, but had good looking food on the menu.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean
- 3/5
Not really a 4 star experience. Dirty clothes left in closet, "clean" robes all stained in the closet as well with the dirty shirt. But my number one why I will never stay again. Is when I left to go the the Blazers. My room was went through and changed.. Lights turned off and different ones turned on. As well as my toilet used by someone.. Without my knowledge. With clear signage of do not disturb shown. First day on arrival an hour and a half after I check in and leave for an event. Is very sketchy.
- 5/5
Great service at the restaurant. Valet made sure our car was fully charged
- 5/5
Very nice and clean hotel.
- 4/5
Coffee shop is good, and so is the top floor restaurant.
- 5/5
Staff was fast and friendly and the room was very comfortable. In town for a concert that was just down the street but public transport was right outside the door to get you around the city, if needed.
- 4/5
Coffee maker broken. Convenient location to MODA. Comfortable room. Pleasant front desk and coffee bar staff.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Location was great. Fitness area small but sufficient:
- 5/5
clean room amazing staff, valet service are on top of it. there is no self-parking option at the hotel, there is much cheaper parking options nearby, but you run the risk of getting broken into especially in that area I highly recommend doing the valet at the hotel.
- 5/5
Best room we’ve stayed at so far
- 2/5
One of the biggest downsides was the environment outside. There were people sitting right in front of the doors throughout the night, and I witnessed drug use and dealing in the nearby parking lot. Unfortunately, my room’s view looked directly out onto a run-down Denny’s parking lot where this activity was happening. We were also on the fifth floor, directly below the kitchen and restaurant, and could hear noise throughout the night. There was a lot of banging and chairs being dragged during cleanup, which went on until around 1–2am and made it difficult to sleep. While the basics were fine, the overall experience didn’t match what I expected for the cost.
- 3/5
The valet parking is the only option and it's insanely expensive. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. The location is convenient as it’s right near the light rail .
- 4/5
Shower and sink water temperature very inconsistent. Sink water is always called and the shower water does not stay warm
- 5/5
Easy walk to the Moda Center. Spotless. Staff was friendly. In and Out valet parking is great. I love Portland and will stay at Hotel Eastland again.
- 5/5
Roof Top Bar was amazing! Great cocktails food. We went to see Bruce Springsteen & it was crazy crowded. The staff handled it superb! We were able to order cocktails while we in line. Rooms are renovated with all the amenities. This is my 2nd time staying & will return. Five Stars
- 4/5
The hotel was nice & very easy to get to the Moto Center

Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff! Friendly and very accommodating. From the valet, to the rooftop brunch it was an amazing weekend. We can not wait to go back.
- 5/5
Nice staff and they were very helpful
- 5/5
You guys did great we will be back
- 4/5
Great location for events in the Moda Center. Comfortable clean bed. Not very clean room - dirty carpet, hair all over the bathroom floor.
- 5/5
Valet and front desk staff were excellent. The room was quite nice and the beds comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was ridiculous and the hot water took almost a lifetime to get wam enough to take a dribble rinse.
- 4/5
Clean and spacious room. Great location for our needs. Front desk service and gym facilities were adequate.

This place was it! Clean and comfortable rooms. Great staff especially our Valet attendant. The bed and pillows were amazing. My husband and I got some much needed sleep. The location was great! Close to everything. We will definitely be booking again when we stay in Portland.
- 5/5
Great, clean rooms. Comfortable beds, great water pressure!
- 4/5
Great hotel and staff, but the Denny’s across the street is an open air drug market with lots of sketchy people hanging around.
- 5/5
Great place!
- 5/5
Return guest. Great for business travelers
- 5/5
Wow! Walking distance to the Arena! Glad I choose this hotel. Staff was nice and even offered a discount after not knowing about the parking fee. Great manager as well. Definitely will be coming back. OH! The food especially tacos are amazing.
- 5/5
There was quite a few good food options within walking distance.
- 2/5
The light rail is on the same street and runs past midnight. All standard rooms are on the same side as the light rail and sound loud. The hotel should warn about the noise as they already know it's an issue. We can find a much better hotel at this price.
- 5/5
Very close to/great location for basketball at the Moda centre. Right next to cheap tram service from Portland airport, staff available 24/7, rooms very nice and clean
- 3/5
The room was really warm, the A/C would run, but didnt cool the room down. I asked for them to check it, but they did not. Depending on which side of the build you are on it can be really noisy at night as the MAX rail is right next to the hotel.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Staff was so nice and friendly but the tv reception wasn’t working, the room was dirty with toe nails next to the bed and mold in the tile on the bathroom floor and the fridge they have didn’t keep anything cold.

Staff was friendly, valet parking easy, room was very nice.
- 4/5
Clean room and courteous staff, but they prices for food the snacks and drinks in the room were high.
- 5/5
Check-in was easy and friendly. Valet parking was excellent. Room was comfortable and clean. Overall was a great stay. Only downside is that breakfast area doesn't open until 7, which is a drag if you have an early morning and need to find an alternative for coffee/breakfast.
- 5/5
The customer service was very good room was very clean. The city view was beautiful and the valet did amazing. I will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Very clean, beautiful rooms and lobby. Nice restaurant on top of building. Quick valet. The valet woman at check in could definitely be nicer, but everything else was great
- 5/5
New, clean hotel with great customer service. Super comfortable beds, nice big shower, will definitely be back. My new go to for portland
- 5/5
Very clean, kind staff and good food!
- 4/5
Cute hotel and convenient to walk to moda center. It was just annoying that trains were going by all night and no one told us that we would expect that before checking into the room. But I can see why they put ear plugs there. Overall very satisfied.
- 5/5
The staff was amazingly helpful. The valet was a wonder
- 5/5
Decor was right up my alley and cleanliness gets a 8/10 only because I’m a clean freak. I will definitely be staying here again
- 5/5
Valet was prompt and easy access. Check in was immediate and the view from my room was amazing.

Great staff
- 5/5
Spacious room, stayed in one of their suites. Very happy!
- 4/5
Room was nice, and service was great. Some complementary snacks would have been better.
- 4/5
The valet parking staff was EXCELLENT. very professional and super friendly. Room was cozy and very clean. Even though it was small, it was cozy and nice size shower/bath! It gets four stars because of the noise. However, the hotel provided earplugs. Guests should be aware of train noise and homeless noise depending on what side your room faces and what level floor you are on. The rooftop restaurant/tavern has nice views and good happy hour. No complaints for our one-night stay for a show at Moda, except the train and street noise with the side our room was facing. Good service all around.
- 3/5
Amazing hotel! Reason for for 3 stars. Felt like since I booked on Expedia I was treated differently. When I called to ask for early check in and late check out. They kept mentioning since I booked 3rd party. But room was amazing! Lots of homes less around.
- 5/5
Great room and very friendly staff.
- 5/5
the staff made sure the room was spotless and made sure we felt comfortable and welcome!
- 5/5
Everything is perfect.
- 1/5
I didn’t sleep at all. Hotel was right next to tram that runs 24/7 and sounds like a reving motorcycle every 5 minutes. Plus some non stop swooshing ethereal noise from the walls. Horrible.
- 5/5
We had a very comfortable stay with a nice room, friendly front desk and very nice valet service.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Shower water pressure was weak but other than that it was fantastic.
- 5/5
Room was clean and extremely comfortable. We loved our stay and enjoyed being walking distance to some great places !
- 5/5
Great staff! The location was great for taking the train into town. The parking is expensive.

Hotel is modern, clean, and in very good repair. Staff is friendly and attentive. Wild Bean coffee bar makes outstanding espresso drinks. The only reason I don't give Hotel Eastland a 5 star rating is because I prefer the simplicity of self-parking. This hotel requires valet parking. I would rather pay a parking fee and self park.

Room was awesome, bed ultra comfy, rooftop bar had great views, and the staff were all amazing! Will stay again if I can!
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, great restaurant
- 5/5
Everything was great! Super cool and funky hotel. Loved the vibe!
- 5/5
The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Portland. Very clean, great staff
- 5/5
We will be back!
- 5/5
Perfect location to watch a game at the Moda center. Very clean rooms and a modern feel. We’ll be back for sure!
- 2/5
The surrounding area also felt uncomfortable. There were frequently unhoused individuals around the entrance, and the hotel locks its doors for key-card access in the evenings. While I understand the safety measure, the doors were sometimes locked as early as 6 p.m., and on one occasion there were people on both sides of the entrance when we returned, which felt unsettling. That said, the hotel is inexpensive and does provide a place to sleep, so you do get what you pay for. However, cleanliness and overall comfort were lacking, and I would not feel comfortable staying here again.
- 5/5
Great location and pricing for convention center activities. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were tidy and well-kept, and the hotel-provided in-room amenities such as snacks and bathrobes really made my stay pleasant.
- 5/5
The neighborhood has some unhoused people loitering across the street at the Denny’s and another building but they never bothered us and we felt pretty safe walking around, even at night. There are several fast food restaurants nearby, but not a lot of nice restaurants. The Metropolitan Tavern in the hotel is pretty good and we had a nice meal a few blocks away.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel. No notes super clean and great location
- 3/5
Staff was extremely kind and great. Room had lots of existing damage and very uncomfortable bed.
- 2/5
But the room was gross and I do not understand why that hotel is on your VIP list. The two employees we saw were polite and accommodating. But our room was gross. There were hairs on our sheets, hair around the toilet base, the toilet was clogged when we entered the room, the shower glass was not properly cleaned, the soap dispensers were very dirty and empty. Not at all impressed. I Will not go back there again.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. The staff, the valet, the room and restaurant were all perfect and reasonable/fair pricing. I absolutely feel like royalty when I stay here. The location is also very desirable being only a few blocks from Moda amd across from the convention center and just a short ride to plenty of night life entertainment.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and friendly! The room was clean, i didn't see any dust in the usual places which was nice.
- 5/5
The room was great.
- 5/5
Nice clean room, very friendly staff from the valet to front desk, convenient location to where I wanted to be. A bit of a sketchy area but that's not the fault of the hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, staff were super nice, valet attendants were always right there when we needed them. We had a gymnastics meet at the Oregon Convention Center and this location was just a quick walk across the street and we were there. Very convenient and we would definitely stay again!

Staff
- 5/5
Great experience. Real team in the staff and I love the mid century style a lot. This is my preferred hotel in Portland. Amanda at the front desk made me feel so comfortable and at home. Nice to have that after traveling so far.
- 5/5
The room and the view was perfect! Its my second time staying there.
- 3/5
Room was dirty / sheets and blankets
- 4/5
Staff is amazing! Some mold in shower.
- 5/5
Stayed for three nights. The staff helped me switching to a quieter room after the first night. Overall a great choice.
- 5/5
-lots of HOT water. Sheets were upscale.
- 5/5
The staff parking cars and the Front Desk staff were very helpful every time we needed something. The room was very clean.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Hotel was clean, location was great.

I really enjoyed my time in Hotel Eastlund, and I would recommend staying there in the future!
- 5/5
Clean room, good restaurant, easy walk to Moda Center

Great stay
- 3/5
Cute hotel, friendly staff, nice happy hour at the restaurant. Room was nice, but as I pulled back the covers to get in bed, I discovered crusty stains on the sheets. Tried to call the front desk, but the cordless phone handset didn't work, so I had to go down in person. Also hadn't been able to get the heat to work all night; it just blew cold air. They moved me to a very nice corner suite which thankfully did have clean sheets, but the rest of the cleaning was less than stellar. The tile floors had visible sticky spots, the art on the wall next to the bathroom sink had what looked like toothpaste splattered on it, the coffee table had greasy food stains that someone had clearly wiped a dry cloth over, and the glass doors and thermostat had visible fingerprints. That train also ran directly outside the wall of windows in this room, which woke me up all night. On the plus side, the heat did work in this room, and the room was spacious and had a great view of the convention center. Had the rooms been cleaner, I would have really enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Was in town for a conference and this turned out to be the best hotel in the area. Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms. No free breakfast but the cafe was nice. Only downside is that there isn't a lot to do in the immediate area, so you need to take a train to get to the good stuff. Fortunately the stop is less than a 5 minute walk away.
- 4/5
Clean and safe property. Nice valet staff
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional. Including the Hot Chocolate Bar on a cold evening.
- 2/5
Had a bad stay. Had to leave and check into another hotel. This hotel is so overrated.
- 4/5
Room was ok. Staff was nice.
- 4/5
Staff was always available and helpful Great rooftop bar/restaurant Cafe was okay but mostly offered prepared breakfast items that were reheated.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
Great helpful staff
- 5/5
Fantastic staff. Very well designed hotel and super comfortable beds. I look forward to staying again. Amanda at the front desk went above and beyond.

- 4/5
We did not eat at the hotel but the staff and facilities were nice. Valet was present and helpful- again, the entire staff was 10/10. We’ve never had ice service as they did here, super convenient. We stayed for two nights. Street noise was pretty loud(we were on the Denny’s side), the energy saver fridge was tough to figure out despite the instructions provided. The barn doors on bathrooms are unfortunate if you have to spend an extended period of time in there… lastly, the HVAC unit was VERY loud. We had trouble sleeping, though we typically have a fan on while we sleep at home, just very loud and abrupt when starting. Location is very convenient to the Moda.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Clean, great staff , classy decor.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Thank you

Allowed me early check in for a fee. Room is amazing. Close to where I needed to be. Staff is very accommodating. Definitely will stay here again
- 5/5
Very clean room and helpful front desk service. The location is ideal if.you are going to an event at the Moda Center,. It’s a quick 6 minute walk.
- 5/5
Split a plate of chilaquiles for late brunch that kept us going until a 7:00 winter solstice party we attended later in the evening.
- 4/5
Driving in is up a somewhat hill with a speed bump which is not friendly to cars on the lower side.
- 5/5
Check in was super easy ~ Ashley was very personable and informative. Valet parking was a breeze ~ would DEFINITELY stay here again! Oh, and the Metropolitan Grill restaurant was THE BOMB 😎

Updated, clean rooms and fantastic dining options with cafe + upstairs bar/restaurant! Quick walk to Moda Center or Convention Center. Will definitely stay again!

Room was clean and comfortable but halls had garbage in them and the water pressure was very weak in the shower. Staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff and comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. I found Hotel Eastlund just about perfect for its comfort, cleanliness, location, and price.
- 5/5
Excellent service at checking with car service and front desk. Late cocktail up in the roof bar was wonderful! Brian was a gem.
- 5/5
Clean room, gym, convenience restaurant on top floor
- 5/5
It would be great if the coffee shop provided a microwave on the little stand where the sugar is so I could heat up something I ordered….. Michael
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff-loved the valet drivers
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Not sure Valet parking is called for, it isn't Beverly Hills. The charge for parking seems heavy handed but the staff were nice about it.
- 5/5
Efficient, courteous, clean room.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop restaurant had a great vibe. Cafe for breakfast had great food, coffee and friendly staff.

- 5/5
Staff had been great every time I’ve stayed. The rooms are clean. Super convenient location. And priced extremely fair.
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
This is a great hotel. They have valet parking so you don't have to worry about your car or walking around the streets in the middle of the night. The room was really clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
Ye the room was spotless.
- 5/5
Everyone and everything was spot on for us.
- 3/5
Valet parking only but valet was understaffed so we waited 20 minutes to check in and another 20 minutes to be able to get our vehocle and leave for dinner. 2 of 3 elevators were out of service so we waited another 10 minutes to get to our room. The street car was very loud as it passed by the window every 15 minutes through the night.
- 4/5
Hotel is cool. Decor & vibes are awesome. Only few dislikes - homeless person tweeked out next to entrance looked like she had her pants down. I mean it's a city sooo whatever -The hotel can't control that but that was my first impression. What bothered me the most was crumbs of beef jerky next to my bed.... there upon arrival and not mine... do we not vacuum? Gross... instantly made me feel like the room was dirtu

We love the Hotel Eastlund. We stay there every time we are in PDX. Great location, nice clean rooms, super comfortable beds!

The room was clean. The satff was helful and very courteous. Great location

Good location, nice rooms, perfect for a quick visit in the city
- 5/5
Great interior decor, clean, and convenient. Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Five stars on everything
- 5/5
Room was super clean, smelt good, staff was curious and actually have personality when speaking with them. I’ll stay again when visiting Portland.
- 5/5
Lovely room, clean facilities, nice view, convenient to conference center, great coffee shop and rooftop restaurant, friendly staff
- 4/5
The staff was courteous. Rooms seems to be a little run down. The beds were very comfortable. Bummer only Coffee mate in your room-expected more in Portland.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. Clean hotel.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely friendly, place and room was very clean all through. Bar was fully stocked and rooms were super quiet all through. I would stay here over and over again.

Great rooms restaurant and staff.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Room 220 seemed a bit small
- 2/5
The room was totally neglected. Tried to get the room cleaned and trash emptied but nobody came to do anything during my 4 day visit. Front desk gave lip service but seemed unable to provide assistance. I had trouble with my television and had to wait a day to get help. Otherwise the room was okay I had a suite and some of the furniture was obviously cheap quality and there wasn’t a desk. The. Only telephone was in the bedroom.
- 5/5
Nice spot
- 3/5
I gave this hotel a second chance. First time we stayed it was really noisy….windows blocked nothing. Second time it was $100 less than the Hyatt across the street. I thought okay another chance. Disinterested front desk and valet seemed to be new. Crappy, much more dirty room right by elevator. Just as noisy on 5th floor as 2nd. Never again. Stay across the street!
- 5/5
Patrick at the front desk was wonderful, I had lost my credit card at the airport, but he was very accommodating as they had it on file. He was also amazing at showing me the easiest route to get to the venue I was going to. The hotel room was spotless and had absolutely everything a person could need .
- 4/5
Almost everything was great but car wasn’t charged even though was promised and valet paid for, had to complain and get refund.
- 4/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Excellent hotel!
- 5/5
Room was great, as were the amenities. Hotel is the perfect location for nearby venues.
- 3/5
None
- 5/5
The valet and check-in were so easy! The front desk was very friendly and chatted my daughter up about the concert we were there for. She gave perfect instructions on getting to the venue. We had dinner in the restaurant before the show. Great food, great service, great view. Will stay here anytime we’re in town for concerts!
- 5/5
Everything was great except the room itself. I was in Room 530 which was faced the light rail/or train.
- 4/5
We choose to stay here every time we visit Portland. The parking is safe. The eatery on skte has good happy hour options. Rooms are clean
- 3/5
It would have almost been better to not have said we were VIP. We were not offered any upgrade. They had them available for an additional cost but not to offer to hotels.com VIPs. I also asked about parking at check in, as I could not recall if it was free with the rate or if there was a daily credit. I was told nothing was included - even though the site says there should have been a $16 daily credit. We ended up paying to park off-site rather than spend I believe it was $47/night to valet (only option - no self park). We did check in early but called ahead to see if there was a room ready - if not, we were prepared to kill some time. We've stayed at this property a few times previously and never had these issues. Will not be coming back.
- 5/5
So clean, very friendly staff
- 5/5
Bar well stocked but didn’t use it
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and kind
- 5/5
Comfortable, clean rooms. Easy access to food, drinks. If you’re going to an event at the convention center this is perfect! The valet team is amazing.
- 5/5
Will stay again when going to the Moda Center. Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Safe area. Rooftop restaurant & bar is great.
- 4/5
Good stay for a conference. All staff I talked to was very nice and helpful. Room could use extra detail with cleaning. But otherwise enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Great service! The staff was friendly and accommodating from the moment we showed up. We had a snack and drinks up at the bar that had a beautiful view (even on a rainy day); quick and friendly service. The room was cozy and comfortable. Lots of snacks and drinks available at a decent price and quiet environment. The location was also ideal and easy to get to where we needed - TriMet was right across the street or a short Lyft ride away from downtown and other activities.
- 3/5
Clean room and friendly staff. The bathroom is very small and the toilet block almost half of the sink and counter. There was an abstract piece of art over the toilet which features a bunch of brown smears. Hanging over the toilet, one couldn’t help but think it was toilet humor. We had a fifth floor room and the street noise (traffic and trains) was loud and very annoying when trying to get to sleep. There was also a guy on the sidewalk opposite of the hotel obviously doing his drug deals. We watched him for a while and he had lots of customers. Cafe was also closed. This hotel wife is was just meh. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Great hotel, within walking distance of the moda center and Max transit system, the restaurant is amazing I would recommend a reservation as tables fill up quickly on busy nights. Had a unhoused man with no shoes on refuse to leave the hotel lobby at 7am but that’s Portland for you.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Beds were amazing. Very creative style of hotel
- 5/5
Clean room and kind staff
- 4/5
Thi room was by the MAX train, so earplugs are very important.
- 5/5
staff was friendly! great location! clean rooms!
- 5/5
Amazing and so quick
- 5/5
As always, perfect!
- 4/5
I was a little sad that the wine merchant store was closed. The rooftop tavern was good but service was often slow when it was busy. The room felt a little cramped to have two queen beds in it. But the beds were comfortable. The toilet paper holder was Ina weird location. Great stay though if you doing anything that requires public transit or if you are attending an event at the Oregon convention center.
- 5/5
There are not restaurants with easy walking distance, but their rooftop restaurant was good.
- 5/5
Very clean, large room. Nice space and beautiful rooftop restaurant with nice views.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and well stocked, gym is small but reasonably equipped.
- 5/5
Fantastic location and super clean property
- 4/5
Not many restaurants that are walkable from the motel.
- 5/5
Our only complaint is the Final Destination Shower set up. The floor is at an angle and there is no grip to the floor, and it was a half door not allowing the shower area to actually warm up. 0 water pressure. The design is neat, and flows with the rest of the room, but the bathroom also did not match the room photos that we booked online, but we arrived so late that we just wanted to get checked in. Overall, not efficient and somewhat dangerous shower. Other than that, everything was stellar. The restaurant was excellent, props to the chef! The Wild Bean was great, but it seemed like a lot of the staff was waiting for their order as there was only one person at the counter working it. Staff was great and helpful. The room and view were lovely, and we plan on making this our spot to stay providing there is a bathroom alternative, similar to the one we actually booked online.
- 5/5
My stay was great
- 5/5
Clean, nice
- 5/5
Awesome hotel!
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprised by how modern and clean it was.
- 2/5
There is a tram that goes by at night. That is quite going to be all night long. Everything is extremely expensive in the hotel six dollars for a bottle of water in the room. This is Portland not Washington DC
- 4/5
I enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and bar. Our stay was over all nice. The valet guys ere awesome and the waitstaff/bar tenders were too. However, the housekeeping crew could have been better.
- 3/5
Great hotel, kinda upset that parking was valet only and an extra $43 per night that I didn't account for. Wish they were upfront about that.
- 5/5
Was a great stay, very nice room, love the location right by the Moda Center.
- 5/5
Great welcome, friendly staff
- 5/5
The Hotel Eastlund was a trendy, clean, and comfortable stay for our last night of a two week vacation. We returned our rental a day early and took the red line from the airport right to the hotel, making things simple. We had packed a couple vacuum seal bags, forgot the vacuum, but staff was quick and accommodating in having housekeeping come help us using their vacuum. Very appreciative of that. The rooftop bar was a relaxing experience with a good vibe. I definitely would recommend Hotel Eastlund.
- 5/5
Perfect place if you are in Portland for a Convention at the Convention Center. The walk distance from the hotel to the convention center is a plus, the hotel has a cafe place at the lobby and a restaurant on the top floor. In addition to that, you can take the metro from the hotel to the airport (very close to the metro station)
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good
- 5/5
Good value , convenient
- 5/5
Very nice decor in room and lobby. Super friendly staff. Reasonable cost valet parking. Awesome bed!
- 3/5
It is a non smoking hotel but someone has smoked in the room I am staying in. It is faint but still there. Great bathrooms and great view.
- 5/5
Very close to Convention Center
- 5/5
The team made my stay so special. I felt like a valued guest from the minute I arrived. The room was amazing and the bed is SO comfortable. Thank you for an amazing experience!
- 5/5
A good place to stay for events at the Convention Center or Moda. Neighborhood is a little grungy.
- 5/5
The staff were really nice and helpful right from the beginning with discounted valet. The concierge were informational and the room was wonderful. Very luxurious considering the low price. Also checked out the rooftop bar which has amazing pizza!
- 5/5
Awesome staff super helpful. The room was comfortable. But room could be bigger for having a pull-out couch bed. But if you just want acouch in your room it fine. Love view on roof top restaurant. Super close to the convention center. Cafe in the lobby has good lattes.
- 5/5
Honestly surprised by the level of friendliness and professionalism along with a genuine feeling that the staff actually wishes to answer and assist with any questions or problems we had. When there they were having some issues with their room cards but they quickly and easily resolved any issues that arose with an attitude that gave me peace of mind without worry. It being right next to the convention center was extra handy as we booked the rooms exclusively for comic con and the ability to come and go without any hassle was another bonus. Lastly the valet parking was a wonderful additional bonus the valets were willing to go get stuff we forgot in the car without any complaint or rudeness. For sure coming back!
- 5/5
Great clean place!
- 5/5
This place is perfect for folks attending or working events at the Oregon Convention Center. I recommend take-out from the restaurant when you're tired from the day. You'll feel refreshed, and ready to go for tomorrow!
- 5/5
The only complaint is that they charge fees for early check in. $50 if before 2pm. $20 after 2pm but before 4pm. I have travelled the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels and I have never been charged a fee for early check in.
- 5/5
Family friendly, clean
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and the place itself was really clean and nice. Very accommodating!
- 5/5
The staff is very attentive, and I liked all the communications. Texting for valet is easy, rooftop restaurant is cool; affordable and reasonable prices, cool vibe. Nice room. Would absolutely stay here again!
- 3/5
We booked Hotel Eastlund through Expedia and got a good price for the room. The room itself was quite small, and you’ll want to stay on the higher floors if you don’t want to hear the trains that run on both sides of the hotel. Parking is valet only and costs $43 per day, which adds up quickly. The location is right across from the Portland Convention Center, but there are quite a few homeless people in the area, which may not be ideal for everyone.
- 5/5
Always a solid choice when we are in Portland. Our go to place
- 5/5
The hotel was great. Only gripe we had was that the house cleaning didn’t come by but our stay was short so we weren’t too upset our bed wasn’t made/ towels changed. The hotel was great. The valet service overnight was a bit expensive 43$ a night and we didn’t feel the surrounding area was safe enough to park anywhere else overnight. Yet, for the price of the hotel a night it was overall not bad. Quality of the rooms were great very comfortable. Also the toiletries supplied were also great quality.
- 5/5
Great service and property was well kept and pleasant
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience from dropping car off with valet, to check in, to dinner at the restaurant. Room was beautiful, cozy, and the city views were amazing. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
We really liked the shower and the bed. The casting on the tv didn’t work and we tried for a while, but that’s okay. The staff is undeniably amazing. I left a pair of handmaid earrings in the room that I love so much and they got them back to me before we left to return to washington!
- 2/5
The carpet my room is terrible very dirty not happy
- 5/5
Great staff, excellent food, clean room
- 4/5
Surrounding area is not great. There is no chef at the Wild Bean restaurant on the weekends. And he called in sick on Monday. So only a basic breakfast available at the hotel.
- 5/5
Quick and easy valet and check in, helpful staff, clean, cute, modern rooms. Nice amenities, great rooftop bar!
- 5/5
They are good but they want to charge for everything
- 4/5
The staff is great and very kind. The room was pretty nice I went up to the rooftop restaurant and enjoyed it.
- 3/5
Everything was good except for parking scam. That we have to pay 43 dollars to park in the property as a guest. This is B.S since they know you have to pay because there is no parking anywhere else.
- 5/5
nice location and neighborhood
- 3/5
I expected a lot more based on the reviews. The hotel was below average. Also the prices seemed reasonable and then it was over $40 a day for parking. Ridiculous. I asked for a quiet room and was given one with a streetcar right outside. There was also stains on the carpet and wall. The room was barely cleaned. I would not stay again.
- 3/5
Great valet
- 4/5
A lot of homeless in the area and the property was a little worn down. But overall a nice stay. Centrally located with easy access to Portland
- 5/5
Convenience
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Very nice hotel! Staff were all great.. the rooftop restaurant was excellent. Good food and drinks.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable; friendly staff
- 5/5
Location to moda center was excellent. Staff from valet to desk to bar was great. Restaurant/bar was also very good. Definitely will stay there again.
- 3/5
Rooms were worn down and very noisy. Nohotel connected amenities. Doors did not include extra dead bolt for safety.
- 3/5
The bed was horrible. Like sleeping on wood planks and sagged towards the center. My back was sore. Noise outside the room from 11 pm and still happening when we woke up at 7AM. It was music playing the entire time. I think the coffee shop/bakery was playing music below our room as someone worked through the night. Bathroom was all sink and counter. Toilet was crammed in a tiny space. Horrid water pressure in the impracticly designed shower. While an aestheticly pleasing hotel to the eye, it is one of the most uncomfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Staff were pleasant enough. Gace "walking distance" reccommends for restaurants that were "upscale" and just"a few blocks" from the hotel which were anything but either of those things...sent us walking more than 10 blocks during a major heat advisory in the city. Im sure this hotel will be fine for most, but I will not be staying again.
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay.
- 4/5
Great cafe with fresh, tasty food
- 3/5
We’ve stayed at Hotel Eastlund several times for its proximity to the Moda Center, and in the past enjoyed the hotel for its nicely appointed rooms at a reasonable rate. This stay, however, was very disappointing. Several things in the room were broken/needed repair and everything felt more run down. Sadly, I doubt I will stay there again.
- 3/5
Nothing special regarding this hotel. Lots of homeless around. Not the best dinning. No coffee shop. Chromecast not working.
- 4/5
This is a Best Western associated facility. Although the facilities were ok, it wasn’t what I was expecting because I thought it was a boutique hotel. That being said, the staff here have been friendly and helpful. I’m used to a 4-5 star hotel with a certain standard and this is more of a 3.5 star hotel. The bed was comfortable and a decent size room. The traffic noise outside and the AC noise made it difficult to sleep. The shower pressure was low, the drawers didn’t stay shut or was very tight to open, the body wash container was empty, the sink had some hair and dust in it. I would not recommend staying here unless you are ok with a Best Western type facility. This building only has 6 floors.

Great stay friendly staff

Great, love this place!

Always a EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.

Thank you!

Nice stay!
- 5/5
Excellent amenities. Parking is difficult. I had to wake up early in the morning to avoid my car from towing as i had to park in the street.
- 4/5
Great location. Friendly staff, I will say some of their valet people are rude, some smoke so you get your car back smelling like cigarettes and I’m sorry if I’m paying and tipping you there is no reason to be rude. They do charge a $75 per night “damage fee” that you get back but the website also didn’t tell you that. There’s not a lot of room for your belongings because of all the snacks and drinks they try to get you to buy but the room was great, the view was great. Would return back just because of the location itself.

Clean, comfortable, well appointed, and very easy to navigate check-in, valet, etc. Great restaurant, too!

Light sleepers should ask for a room away from the trolley tracks. We loved everything about this hotel, except the noise of the trolley at night and early morning. Staff was universally excellent, friendly, welcoming. Super comfortable beds.

Staff might have been the kindest & most accommodating I’ve ever encountered by a hotel, and I’ve stayed at a variety of places including Westin, Four Seasons, the Marriott, & other boutique hotels but the valet, bell hops, & front desk staff were all super kind & accommodating. Super clean, public transportation right in front, walkable, comfy bed. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the TV in the room next to me was right against my headboard so I could hear the TV when I was trying to fall asleep. Other than that, great stay and will totally stay again when I come back to Portland.

Updated, artsy rooms. Staff was wonderful. Onsite coffe shop was great. All amemities including rooftop restaurant were decently priced. Shower stayed hot and had perfect pressure. If you need it the A/C works great, also has a window that you can actually open for fresh air. All around i had a perfect stay.

Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Location is right across the street from the Convention Center and some great restaurants are walking distance. Every employee that I interacted with was friendly and helpful.
