Air conditioning, coffee pot, microwave and fridge worked well.

Our room was adequate and clean. I had reserved a room with one bed but when we arrived they did not have one available. We were offered a room with two queen beds and they did not give us a discount on the price, so we had to pay extra. We were told the lobby was open 24 hours and there would be coffee and some food for breakfast, but the next morning the lobby door was locked with a sign on the door that it would reopen at 6 am. By 6:45 we simply left, and since there was no way to check out, we left the room key on the bed. I assume they must have had some kind of staffing problem. Our experience overall was just OK.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. Was disappointed no staff on a Sunday morning till 8am and no breakfast. I guess there was a staff issue.

There was a dirty rag in the corner of our room… lord only knows why the previous guest had used it and put it there. This is not somewhere I’d stay again.

The room was clean however, it really needs some updates. There was only 1 plug in the bathroom area and you had to bring the coffee pot to the plug. It was a bit noisy at night as our room was right next to the freeway. There were no USB type ports in the room so if you did not bring an adapter, you were out of luck. The grab and go breakfast a joke. There was a coffee machine but the food choices were very limited, mostly prepackaged waffles, donuts and fruit, some yogurt choices but not what I considered a continental breakfast. Overall, not horrible but not really comfortable either.

We go turned away due to the fact we had a service dog and they already gave away all of their 4, yes only 4, “pet” rooms.

The room was nice just a bit small but it was quit. The shower water temperature was little to be desired but other than that it was a good stay. Breakfast had waffles with no buter or syrup. No cold cereal no bagels or muffin.

I've stayed here multiple times the last yr. A few stays have been for months at a time. Due to a family members health issues. I live in Arizona and this is my go to Motel. The rooms are clean, Ac is great. The Owner and staff are amazing, always polite, kind and welcoming. They're willing to go above and beyond to help insure your needs and accommodations are met. The parking is never an issue and is safe. The grounds are well maintained and monitored. I always enjoy staying here.

The property is close to the fairgrounds, hospital, freeway, and downtown Puyallup. There’s also plenty of parking for vehicles.

This place is ghetto. I would rather sleep on the open ground in Afghanistan again. The staff were jerks. The house keeping demanded to come in and I told them to come back Then the front desk called my room demanding I exit so the house keeper could go inside. Mind you I work nights and its at that time about 9 am I got off work at 6 am and completely resting. I sat out in my car and with my motel door room open, never saw the "emergency" housekeeper anywhere in the area. I was frustrated and tired so I removed all of my stuff from the room went to the front desk and advised I was checking out. I was still paid for until 1100 am the next day still over 24 hrs paid. Front desk gal was an idiot and said she couldn't refund my 100.00. Handed me the managers card that's it. DO NOT stay in this garbage hut. There is a Hampton Inn and suites up the street that was 5 star service and clean.

Room was clean and non-smelly. Our particular room had the vanity aka sink water handles inverted (not a big deal but just mentioning) At a convenient distance to many good restaurants, county fair grounds etc, Staff people were good. I wish they would give us some better breakast instead of grab-n-go approach.

Older place but has been remodeled and they keep it clean. Grab and go breakfast is decent. Coffee is awful. The room coffee is decent. Definitely a good value.

Make no mistake, this is an older, no frills property. We stayed there because of its proximity to the fairgrounds. That being said, our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the heating worked well and was quiet. The refrigerator was a decent size, and the microwave was clean and worked, The continental breakfast didn't have extras, but there was a good amount of food furnished. Staff was helpful and Wicked Pie had no trouble finding us and delivering to our room. The motel is set far enough back from the road that there isn't much traffic noise, but it's not completely quiet. We would definitely stay there again if we were doing an event at the fairgrounds

Parking was easy and the room was clean.

There is an infestation of sugar ants. Floor needed cleaning. Last year we were denied any extra pillows. This time there were 3 pillows each - which was nice.

Their "breakfast" didn't start until 8:00 which meant I never had it. One night the people next door were fighting and it kept me up until about 3 am.

The room was clean. Could use a blow dryer. We had to get one from the front desk and had to return it after use. Each room should have one.

The motel is just average but if you are going to an event at the Washington State Fairgrounds the location is great.

Room had ants and the hotel went and sprayed my room with ant spray including my thermos cooler. When I complained they said I brought the ants in. Impossible since I showed up with the ants already there. Then their rebuttal was they are the cheapest place in town so take it or leave. So, I left.

Yes, and yes. MY room was just fine, but when checking in there was a guest at the desk who was complaining about a "chemical smell, leaking sink, and ants in the room" to the desk clerk.The guest had reservations for 3 nights, and already had stayed the first night and was now complaining on the eve of the second. The clerk tried to change him to a different room, but they were all booked up. She called her manager, and the only option they gave him was a full refund or continue to stay in the "ant" room. The guest walked out in a huff, vowing to call his credit card company and complain.

Got to the hotel and they were overbooked and didn't have a room even though i already made a reservation and PAID. It also happened to the people in front of me as well. The man at the front desk was very rude and understanding to myself and also other guests that were there.

I booked for my husband. Was supposed to have 2 beds, there was only 1.

When I checked in, the staff was more interested in passing out W-2 forms to their employees than checking me in. When they did get to checking me in, the credit card terminal was malfunctioning and created an even longer wait.

The room was spotless. Check-in was alright. A little confusion at first as we were put in to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. Other than that, the room was a reasonable price. Everything is clean but it’s outdated so it looks a little worn down and old.

The room was dirty, long black hair on the bathroom floor, there was a live spider on the ceiling in the shower. I told staff and they said oh sorry for that. The staff at the desk were friendly

Breakfast items were grab & go but there was an assortment of packaged items like oatmeal, waffles, individual cereals, brownie bites, protein bites, & a few other things. Fresh apples & bananas were also available. Very friendly staff.

I love staying at Motel Puyallup, everyone is so kind, nice clean rooms. Great Owner ,management. Very wonderful people work there. Nice breakfast, coffee I feel like Im family everytime I stay there . Thank you Everyone

A good place, good customer service

Everything was really clean, staff was friendly. They have a pretty firm checkout time and if you have a room near the main road, you can hear everything very clearly. There’s not much insulation in this hotel to dampen any noises.

Floors were very uneven . This caused the first bed to shift off the floor with any movement. Head of bed sunk and foot came off the floor.

Staff and owner are very rude and disrespectful rooms are dirty and dark bathrooms smell like mold inside of them

Then when you check out they manufacture charges on your card starting at $200 then in halfs to get any money from you there very rude and shisty people The beds are uncomfortable filled with bed bugs and the heater don't work so it's freezing

Had dog friendly room was told dog not allowed on bed. Although there was a supplied dog bed. Was informed because i had my dog we had to be gone for housekeeping. I left for the emtire day. Housekeeping left new packet of coffee and towels. Nothing else. Bed was not made. Coffee pot was still full of the coffee i made earlier that day. I really thought it would be picked up better. My opinion. Parking was not great. Area surrounding was fine but it was close to a hospital so there were alot of sirens. It was a ok stay but i will find somewhere else next time

It was very dated, the reason I gave a bad review is because the charged me $35 Dollars because I removed the red light from the lamp and moved it to a different lamp. They said there wasn't a red light in there but there was.

Bed was very hard and even tho it had a kitchenette, there was no coffee.

Couldn't always park near my room, but felt safe after parking to go to my room.

Cons: The breakfast provided was spoiled and stale. The Expedia price ($93) and the Motel price ($113) were not the same. When mentioned this to the staff, they explained Expedia was to blame because they buy too many rooms and advertise for the price before checking with the motel owner to see if there is a vacancy. If this is the case, why punish the customer? The property could have used more lighting outside. It was very dark. The motel room although slightly updated (flooring), the rest was very outdated. The term 'you could slap lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig' comes to mind. We would stay again, but only as a last resort.

We stayed here for a night after a day at the Puyallup fair. It was clean, quiet and affordable. No carpets all laminate flooring. Staff was nice we didn’t have the grab n go breakfast but otherwise it was beyond our expectations. Yes the mattresses have plastic covers but otherwise it was clean & comfortable.

The room was clean but on the small side. There were no eating establishments within walking distance; you had to drive. A major medical center was close by, and ambulance sirens sounded all through the night. I set an alarm for 0600, and the phone did not ring until 0700. For the low price, I received the value I expected. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful.

We just needed room service and never happened. Breakfast was grab and go but there was little to grab. 😞

Would stay again

Perfect location if you are going to the Puyallup Fair. Simple clean room. Obviously shows some age but look as though they were renovated. Breakfast was a disappointment & only had some fresh fruit left.

The woman in the office was professional and business like but not very friendly.

Very close and convenient if you need to get to the Washington State Fairgrounds, we were volunteering there. Nice and clean, pillows were great. Staff is wonderful. Highly recommend and would stay there again!

Felt uneasy while staying here

Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We went to the Puyallup fair and it was the perfect location to walk from and to.

Great for the price in a pinch, not high-class, but not a dump either. I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable, and so were the pillows. The cleaning could have been better, but overall it wasn't bad. Would stay again.

A block from a hospital, so frequent sirens heard. Excellent location for the concert we attended at the WA state fair. Able to walk back to motel after concert (1/2 mi at most) and felt safe. Simple snacks available for breakfast.

We enjoyed the stay. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The room did smell of cigarettes and the beds have plastic covers underneath which made noise as you laid there. But aside from that the it was a pleasant stay.

When entering facility desk clerk took 15 minutes before she waited on us due to being on phone with customer. When finally in room, TV didn’t work, clerk tried to fix & informed us she couldn’t give us another room without talking to mgr. She waited on 3 other customers before trying to resolve our issues. Asked for refund, due to treatment. First time in our travels in 50 years being treated so poorly.

Not The Place You Want To Stay At

The property was in a good location for us. It was clean and well groomed. The office staff was excellent when we had questions. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were very good.

This is the third time we've stayed at this motel. The room was cozy and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only suggestion for a more comfortable stay would be to bring your own pillow, or for the motel to invest in more supportive pillows.

The staff was nice and helpful as room was clean. I of the reasons I i gave a 3 was due to the fact that the first morning we got up which was when breakfast was suppose to start. I walk to office 4 times to see if they were open the 2 ladies that worked there qerr iver an hour late very disappointing for we had no time to really eat by time they got set up we had to grab and go. Never wver had this happen anywhere i stayed. Another reason was we areived 10 mi s early and we had to wait the q0 mins to check in even though the room was already cleaned.

I didn't have a problem with the traffic noise, but there were some car aficionados who were noisy in the parking lot. Overall, I would recommend for a basic room, I didn't spend much time in the room, I was there to see family.

Front desk staff were super friendly and room smelled like it had just been cleaned when we walked in. We loved that there were stickers on the door to show nobody had been in the room since it had been cleaned.

This motel is very retro. The floor in our room was filthy, but we didn't realize how dirty it was until I made the mistake of wearing white socks. There was a huge friendly spider in the shower, and the water goes from hot to warm every few seconds. There is almost no water pressure in the shower. Two of the staff were very rude, and there was a reality show playing on the TV in the lobby with during breakfast. When I went to check out, two staff members were busy discussing Dave Chappelle and completely ignored me.

This property is older but has been renovated in the rooms. Everything is very clean, bed was firm and air conditioning working. Right next to the freeway but quiet. Plenty of amenities nearby.
