The first room the air didn’t work. The second room they gave us was occupied and the 3rd one had huge bedbugs. I immediately left. After having to wait almost an hour for the staff to return to the front desk. Terrible experience. Never again

The place was not in good shape. I was told that some rooms have microwaves and mini fridges and some don't. The first room i was sent to door didn't lock. It looked like the door had been kicked in. The paint on the walls was discolored. The second room the ac didn't work it was 88 degrees in the room and the wall ac unit had no knobs. The suite was better but it still had discolored walls and there was a roach. Also while I was checking another person staying at the room came in and said the third floor doesn't have roaches, cause I had been asking for a lower level floor due to a recent injury. The suites door still looked like it had been kicked in before as well

The AC worked. First, all that was in the room were 1 green thin bath towel, one bar of the smallest soap the company could make. First time I saw one like this was 40 yrs ago. Only thing in the bathroom was a small roll of toilet paper in the toilet paper holder. No soap, no towels, no bathmat, nothing. The shower head was so low that my 5'4" ht barely got under it by bending over a little. When I went to front desk for the items. I got a small bath Towell 2 face towel, a few packets of shampoo/conditioner, no soap, a roll of toilet tissue. No remote for the old television set. The old ice machine worked only a few times.

It has a nice central location close to shops and dining. The price was affordable. The lobby smells like a urinal. The room is poorly maintained with broken, damaged, or missing pieces all over. There were little to no amenities; no soap, no microwave, no coffee pot, no water cups, and no bath towels. I had to go the front desk to get towels and they were even smaller than pool towels.

Fleabag motel is what this place is. Horrible room- squeaky uncomfortable bed-furniture in tatters-no soap or extra toilet paper provided-really small TV. Low budget hotel. Motel 6 is a palace compared to this motel. The only positive thing is there is a pool. Did not spend the night. Was only in the room for 20 minutes then decided to leave. Asked for a refund. Hope it happens. It is a horrible place. Don't waste your time and money here!

The staff was very nice and worked hard. The hotel itself is old and in need of renovation. The bedding did not seem clean and there were a bunch of sketchy people in parking lot.

Other guests were loud, and appeared as though they were living there for an extended period and even selling goods from their rooms. Beware of this establishment.

Room was nothing like the pictures ac did not work. Toilet seat was wrong size. Holes in the walls. Staff would not refund.

Nothing I didn't like how I tried to cancel before 6pm on June 2nd like they said I could do, but they ignored me and didn't refused their contract. Also they have roaches and bugs everywhere in the room along with everything they put up is falling off the walls. They need a health inspector to shut them down. I also didn't like how they have cords everywhere for you to trip on and their sidewalks and stairs are dangerous. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Especially cause their staff doesn't care about your complaints. If you have a problem they literally tell you to fuck off and they don't care and their done with you. This is clearly family owned cause no one else would do that.

What did the first room it wasn’t to put together so I asked for another room when he gave me a suite which is cool, but the suite was still dirty dead roaches in there in the top drawer and behind the fridge sink was dirty with no iron wasn’t too good. I don’t think I’ll be back.

The room i got smelled like cigar i had a 18 month baby and a 8 year old boy and it not good for there health, and the restroom door was boken and all beat up.

Parking lot was gated at least. The room I stayed in had a broken mattress, had patched holes in the wall, someone had tried to pry open the door with a crowbar before. The shower leaked all over. 0 star hotel. TV has like 8 channels, no breakfast or anything

I booked the room walked in the room saw roaches and bed bugs. Walked out gave the front desk back the key.

The counters were all dirty, the floor was so dirty I had to mop it twice so my feet would not turn black. The kitchen sink leaked all over my things I had on the counter, and on the floor. The toilet was dirty and it constantly ran, the bathroom fan didn’t work and was falling out of the ceiling. I couldn’t call the front desk cause they don’t have phones and my cellphone was not working. I was so sick after getting in there that I didn’t move from the room the first 4 days I was there except to take my dog to potty 3 times and I felt like I was dying. When I finally could walk to the front desk, they were unfriendly and when I explained what was going on, they would send maintenance. When asked about a downstairs room, was told again they didn’t have any available but should have some after housekeeping was done around 7 pm. I was told she would come to my room to let me know because of the phones. When I went back down, once again because nobody ever came to my door, not so friendly and was told they had 2 rooms I could check out. As I was out the door I heard a woman call them the “garbage rooms”. Both were worse than what I was in, one reeked of vomit. Found black mold my last night, that’s what made me sick. County health next

This hotel is in disrepair. It is in a questionable unsafe location. There is black mold in the bathrooms. We asked to be moved from a room due to the smoke oder, no mini fridge, the obvious signs of something being torn off the wall and the wierd bathroom lighting with no fan to get the smoke smell out. The second room was better but the black mold in the bathroom was disgusting. I recommend going somewhere else.

Air conditioner did not work, at night when trying to go to sleep, i found that there was roaches inside the room. Definitely not what it used to be, possibility due to new ownership, not sure.

In the morning at 10:00 AM, we came to the front desk and asked to cancel. The front desk told us they couldn’t do it right then but that they would do it later. We then booked a hotel at the next exit (La Quinta) and had a great stay the following night. How can I get a refund? It’s clear the hotel is not going to issue one. Thank you.

It was not what I expected. I did not feel safe there. It smelled like cigarettes, bugs crawling around, the walls were dirty with hole patches everywhere. We stayed for 10 mins and left.

Nothing was good. Rouches and heater problems. Were to move me into another room and said available then waited hours and then not. Was not feeling well which they knew.

The check in person was sullen and hard to understand. The bathtub was moldy so neither of us wanted to bathe. There was only one set of towels and we were unable to get more. First trip down from the third floor (no elevators) the clerk said they didn't have any. 2nd trip- no one at the desk. 3rd trip we were given 3 bath mats and 1 bath tower, all dirty and stained. The maintenance man came to replace 2 lightbulbs and said he'd get us some towels. He never came back. The neighbor hood was sketchy,. That's hard to know when booking online. Checking out was simple, but I could not get a receipt with the hotel name. Price, and date all on the same page. We will not be back...ever!

For what thing they don’t ever give you clean towels they never change your linen and also the TV never worked. It never gave us the remote to it. The service was very bad. They need to figure this out because they’re gonna lose all their customers and nobody’s gonna wanna come here again that’s what I have to say

I had a good stay at California Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Check in was smooth, and everything was well maintained. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would stay here again.

Roaches constantly popping up in the restroom. Had to sleep with the bathroom lights on throughout my stay in hopes of them staying away. Ended up killing 5 of them regardless. The upside was that it was literally across the street from major shopping centers and a great Ramen place was right behind the building.

Mold in bathroom around tub. Quite a few unsavory/questionable people talking/yelling loudly throughout the night. At 62 I was a bit afraid for my safety as I was put in a room upstairs away from the stairs. There was also a cat in a room windows that scared me immensely.. It jumped up and hissed at me EVERY time I had to pass by.

Very dirty - the towels have stains on all of them and lots of hair attached to them. The rooms had graffiti written in them. In the 4 days I was there not once did housekeeping come by. Entire place smells like smoke even though I was in a smoke free room. Beds very uncomfortable.

They switch me rooms when I got off put me in the corner on the 3rd floor. I asked for one of my usual 3 rooms I literally stayed there for almost a month at one time. I got to that room and it had a microwave and no fridge great love it. This time I brought cleaning supplies from work to clean up w. It ends up being mold on the base of the tub there as well. It was a roach there. I have pics

I’ve stayed at pretty much every hotel around rancho for work, and honestly, california inn has the best location, right in the city center and close to everything. you really can’t beat the prices either. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt bad seeing so many negative ones. it’s really not that badl, it’s rancho! the only downside is they don’t serve breakfast or even coffee, but there’s a starbucks right next door.

Good value for money! For the price you pay, you really get the most out of your stay. The motel is pretty clean and well maintained. It’s a motel, so it’s not realistic to expect five star service, but it serves its purpose perfectly.

Room smelled gross looked like they just made the beds and threw out trash. Place was dirty hair everywhere. There was flys and knats. No smoke detectors probably why it reaked of cigarettes. The parking was gated but shady ppl pull in next to you. Around 3am women yelling that he hit her in the mouth my guess was her pimp smacked her. Almost forgot about these bars sticking out from bed frame banged my ankle on it

I couldn't believe how many issues one room could possibly have! Towels and washcloths were stained (or may be dirty), We saw (killed 2) 3 very large cockroaches in our room, there were dead cockroaches in the hotel walkway/breezeway, the smoke alarm was missing with wires exposed and hanging, the bathroom light kept flickering, both the bathroom faucet and shower head constantly dripped keeping us awake, there was a thermostat on the wall for a heater that was non-existent, we couldn't turn off the air cooler, the bathroom looked as if it were in a middle of a remodel that wasn't complete, USB outlet didn't work on one of the nightstands, there wasn't a microwave (we had to request it from the front desk and they insisted that we had one), amenities listed were vending machine (it was completely empty), wi-fi which constantly lost signal, coffee and tea in common areas (there wasn't any), housekeeping daily (never happened during out 5 night stay) and free newspaper in common areas (not true). The water pressure in the shower was very weak. and the bed was very hard. We mentioned all said problems to the front desk but none were rectified. The owner called us on our last night pleading for us not to give him a bad review and tried bribing us with 2 more night and a room upgrade for free in which we declined as we could not stay any longer.

Shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall well leaving it sloped and causing the curtain to not close, which would leave water all over the place. You can see how it’s affecting the surrounding floor and wall with water damage. Water pressure was basically unusable and you can’t adjust the spout. A gym was advertised and there wasn’t one. Fire alarm was in a drawer, fridge didn’t fit in the cabinet causing it to lean out and would occasionally open, also didn’t have a nob to adjust temp so all food was frozen. Car alarms frequently went off throughout the night. Room didn’t look like it was cleaned and residue was found.

My room was disgusting. For a non-smoking room it smelt of weed and cigarettes inside. It was nothing like the photos portrayed. The AC had no knobs on it. I went to ask for a room change the front desk person seemed to not know anything. She told me to find the thermostat to adjust the AC. When I returned to the room the screen was broken and it did not work. The property was dirty and area seemed very unsafe. I arrived at 11:30pm and had no where else to stay. I immediate checked out the next morning.

They list microwaves in the room but only some rooms have them. Every time we showered or used the sink the pipes under the sink would leak. Told them and no one came to try and fix it. Every time we would leave the parking, explore the town, and come back our room key wouldn’t work. They also have a pool but it is dirty. Advertising isn’t accurate. I understand it was cheap but still shouldn’t have these issues

Parking and check-in was easy, HOWEVER, the conditions of the room were terrible. The walls were damaged, duct tape on the ceiling in the bathroom. The sliding door to the bathroom was broken and got stuck while i was trying to get out after using the restroom, trapping me inside. Thankfully my partner was there to unjam it for me so i could get out. The toilet stopped working on the 1st day and we had to keep contacting the front desk to have someone come fix it. (Which they never did). The shower made a loud squeaking sound, which was VERY obnoxious. The lamp in the room had no light bulb. The floors had tape on them and the bed sheets had cigarette burn holes. The cable from the night stand tables where you charge your devices was cut in half while connected to the wall outlet, which is a fire and safety hazard. There was also constant cigarette smells coming from other rooms and gave me headaches. And WORST of ALL, the room had ROACHES!

I was very disappointed i had made Reservations beforehand and when I arrived there my there was nothing true about there advertisement on and was thay offered i am a disabled senior and payed ahead of time for my Reservations the first room had no Running Water in the bathtub no Refrigerator or microwave or coffee maker in my room also was extremely dirty and had cockroches bugs.the 2 room was very dirty also the air conditioner was broken and microwave had bugs in it with alot of bugs at this time it was very late and i was in pain and very tired and disappointed thay offered me the desks worker said here the key to 124 and it was the lest one thay were offering me i will never stay at Sacramento Inns and Sweets I think they should have to refund my 3 very Miserable disappointed days the reason i was staying in a hotel was it was a surprise and gift 🎁 to say goodbye to someone i grew up with and will be very missed. I was very shamed of were i rented to say goodbye

We didn’t even get to enjoy our stay, we got a room on the 3rd floor checked in dropped our stuff, then left to have dinner with the family, came back to relax and the AC wouldn’t work, the lady at the front said to use the white control in the wall so we did, but still wasn’t working (mind you it was 97 degrees and really really hot on the 3rd floor) and the door wouldn’t lock unless it was pushed all the way in and lifted. My other half was so upset that he told them we are leaving. Tried to get a refund but they won’t give it to us even if we didn’t stay there at all. Really bad experience.

Everything was horrible!!! We ended up not being able to stay! I paid for a non-smoking deluxe room. We were unaware that there was no elevator and they tried to put us on the third floor. Being I just had neck surgery. There was no way I could carry my suitcase up there. She was going to attempt to put us on the ground floor in the back but insinuated that it was not a safe room. There were quite obvious drug users all over the property. The room when we opened the door smelled like somebody had been smoking in it for 20 years. Instantly my sister‘s asthma, reacted, and we had to get out. So obviously not a non-smoking room. The bathroom door is a slider and you could not even close it. It was broken off the track and the wood was damaged. The walls were filthy and also chipped and damaged. The window to the walkway was broken. We got so fast. I did not think to take pictures. We booked at another hotel and they even told us that multiple people have left that facility to come over to this other nice facility. They said their vehicles had been stolen and we were not going to stay there. The front desk clerk was horribly rude to us. We went to tell her we were leaving, but there was a woman upfront yelling at the police on the phone about somebody threatening to shoot her 12 year-old child. More people started to come in the office and we felt very threatened and left. So we called and explained our situation to the front desk and that we want a refund. Doubt that’ll happen.

Other than the toilet backing up, I can’t expect more from a place that doesn’t charge a security deposit. For the price the motel was great.

Stay away from this hotel. The front desk guy was scary and rude. My husband had apparently parked the car in the wrong place and the guy came out and screamed at my 13 year old son, who was in the passenger seat, to “move the f-word car”. Check out day he be also entered the room without knocking first.

I didn't like that the rooms they were outdated, our rooms had cockroaches, we booked 2 rooms but one room was missing the iron table & the other was missing the iron. We shared both but the iron didn't work properly the good thing is we rook our own, the door was missing the safety lock on top, the tub had a crack down the middle and i guess they just tried to fix it with some cemement or some kind of meterial. And one of my biggest problem was that other people dont respect quiet hours. Some people above us were walking loudly back & forth at 2am and they were moving furniture, there dog was running back & forth. It went for over an hour. Until I called from desk & they stood quiet and were active again at 730am. That same night again in the middle of the night they wouldnt let us sleep. Everyone need to respect everyone because were all paying out stay. But trust me never again will we be staying here. Worst esperience ever.

Staff was nice. No ammenities- No Coffee, ice machine broken. Missing frame around bathroom door. Exposed nails, graffiti indoors, dirty floors, hair dryer didn’t heat. People cussing and partying and yelling in the middle of the night. Clearly people are living here. Vouchers?

Dirty and unsafe

Really dirty, broken appliances, rude staff and expensive when it wasn’t worth the amount they charged. Never again will I come here

No batteries in the tv remote. No hdmi cable from the box to the tv. This there were no channels. When I called the desk they just said sorry. Didn’t offer a remedy.

I love the fact that they don't have a security deposit, and that they accept cash. The night lady was super accommodating and friendly. It was an easy fast process to extend my stay. The room smelled a little funky and the bed was not that great.

Decent place for a cheap price

A nice bed, a warm heater, and a hot shower. The manager was super nice and even upgraded us. Overall, for the price, it’s the best in the area.

It's between a busy street and the freeway so it's very loud, especially since the door's weatherstrip is torn down so a ton of sound just gets through. The shopping center next door scheduled their cleaning crew with gas-powered leaf blowers for 12-1am.

Beatles in the room, crack heads fighting outside at 3AM, and disgusting hotel rooms.

This was the worst experience ever. There was an alarm going off at the restaurant next door for about five hours. The fire truck and police were there but they left and the burglar alarm continued to blare all night. There were also people living at the motel who were up all night talking in front of my room. Horrible do not stay here. You will regret it. The room was also very run down with things broken in it.

My room smelled, was insanely humid, and the A/C was busted, on top of the towel rack being missing and light switches pressed into the wall like they had been slammed in by a previous guest. The molding was pulled away in several places, the door to the room was sticky and i couldn’t trust whether it was closed all the way, plus a couple of the hotel rooms i passed to get to mine had broken windows. The place was altogether falling apart. I literally checked out within a couple of hours of checking in to move to a better hotel because i didn’t feel safe staying there for 2 nights.

They girl at the front desk is very cute. She is very helpful in booking your online reservation but you can tell that the owners of this property doesn't take care of the property... It's very unsafe and you can't help but worry if your car is going to be broken into they change their name from red roof inn to California inn and suites.... The property needs major work done the TV microwave and a few lights do not work in my room... My room is also supposed to be a none smoking room but it stinks like cigarettes smoke there is holes in the walls and for the money they charge you there is better options than this place.. please be careful staying here. The rooms we got black mold all over bathroom in both rooms also cockroaches in both rooms had a cockroach crawl on while in the bed. The tv no volume we changed rooms and it was no different. Homeless sleeping on the lawn. Both rooms were very dirty. The beds felt like sleeping on the springs. If i was able to go to a different hotel i would have I've got plenty of photos of what this place really looks like. In 1 of the rooms the chair was ripped and extremely dirty. It said the room was non smoking and both rooms smelled like stale cigarettes we come down once a year i would rather sleep in my truck than stay at this place. If i could i would give a negative 10 plus . Worst hotel ever...

There was a blow dryer in the bathroom, but no outlet. It was secured to the wall and couldn't be used anywhere else. The sink didn't drain, and the heat/ air was broken. Outside looked like the toilet overflowed and was left in the walkway. Not somewhere I would stay again, or recommend to anyone else.

Very dangerous neighborhood. You can constantly hear yelling and fighting. The room had a whole in the wall.

Showed up and no one was at the counter to help me and my husband. Then once someone did show we couldn't tell if she was a customer or an employee becomes of her outfit. Then once we got our room, the heater doesn't work and the shower is poor quality.

The clerk that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Security seemed to be a real priority with this place, which makes me think this is not a really good area...but we felt secure. The place is a bit run-down, but was very clean.

For the money : The room looked recently remodeled, was nice, clean & didn't smell. The bathroom is rather small. The Hotel is next to an IHOP & shares a parking area, so the noise was loud at times. However I never worried about it. The Hotel is on a one way street.

Room was beat up. No handle for the bathroom door, paint splatter on the floors,heater had no cover,walls were chipped,no hangars or tissue box. There was garbage outside the room in the hallway. Not a pleasant stay.

It's super close to shopping centers, the staff is very understanding. Worked with me. The only thing I didn't like was being put in a room, mind you I have small children and to walk in my room to find dirty rags everywhere, bug killer or whatever it was in the middle of the floor, everything was pulled away from the wall. The staff member didn't know maintenance was still working in the room

Mold in the bathroom, dirty walls

It was pretty nasty. The first room they gave me had no fridge or microwave. No phone in the room. No remote for the TV. The AC had mold in it. The walls were dirty. It was just gross. Honestly, the second room they gave me was just as bad no mold in the AC. I had a fridge in the microwave, but the room was just not clean at all. I found three cockroaches in my room when I walked in. I had to scrub it. if you have little to no money stay here, but if you have the money go somewhere else. It’s also pretty unsafe here. There’s a lot of sketchy things going on. I felt the need to sleep with a machete right next to me as a single alone female.

For the purpose of a music festival and coming in at night exhausted, it was a place to sleep. The front desk, super nice and helpful. The room...poor. roaches, cracks in wall and at floor border. Hole in bathroom door. Shower head leaked alot. Nothing like pictured on the site. We could visually see the "staged for pictures" room right next door to us as the curtain was left open one night.

The room issues were: 1. The clothes bar had no hangers 2. The iron was there but no ironing board 3. There was paint drippings dried on the floor. 4. The bathroom light was missing a bulb 5. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working and was hanging from the ceiling. 6. The light by the bed had no bulb. 7. Heating controls worked sometimes. 8. Towel racks missing. 9. Beds made a clunking noise when you sat. 10. The TV worked well 11. Bathroom light switch didn't work I would never stay here again

Rooms were disgusting

Didn’t even stay in the room. Purchased a non smoking room and the room smelled like someone was currently smoking in it the smell was so strong. There were also bugs everywhere. Bugs all over the floors on the shelves and tables there was no way I was staying the night checked out instantly and was told I couldn’t get a refund unless it was from the website I used to purchase the room.

This hotel is by far the worst. We showed up to our room late, after a concert only to find it was filty, smelled like cigarettes and saw a cockroach go running on the wall. Management gave me a thumbs up when i notified them and asked if we were going to leave.

We stayed for one night, it was an last minute reservation. Booked the room, showed up, looked nice on the out side, however, Inside was nothing special, basic rooms if that. id say lower quality then motel 6 actually. Bathroom door doesn't lock. No screens on the window, and the front door was coming off the hinges, when I requested a new room I was denied. People moving all night back and forth, non stop. Would not recommend going back

The smoke detector in the room was missing and wires protruded from the ceiling. The wall inside the door looked like it had patched bullet holes. Lighting inside the unit was poor. The pool was unavailable. The property smelled like marijuana. Definitely not a great place to stay. Seemed like homeless people live there.

It has a roach problem. The TVs don’t work. The plumbing sucks their housekeepers do not do their job. They had me clean in my own room. It was sad and they have a bedbug prowl.

I was there for 14 days. I switched rooms after two days and when I went to the new room, they didn’t clean my room at all. They let me use my own supplies to clean my room. The TV didn’t work and they have a massive roach problem, and a bedbug problem. It’s sad when it’s the cheapest place to stay when you’re looking for a motel in Rancho.

This was a last minute booking and I only had to stay one night so it was okay but would I stay here with my family? No. There needs to be MAJOR renovations done to this motel. It was close to everything though on Olsen Drive so that was a plus.

The 1st night there was no need for a key. The door could be opened without it. We slept with the latch on. We tried to check out in the morning but found out the room was not refundable. 3 rooms later we settled on a room with a door we couldn't close, but maintenance wasted no time to fix it as best they could. The bathroom door was not on the track, so you drag the door closed. 2 noisy nights. Ice machine was a hit-and-miss. Beware!

Front desk staff was very nice. Forgot her name, but she was able to switch our room immediately after we noticed it smelled like cigarettes non-smoking room. I did see a roach or two pop out from around the bathroom sink and counter.

Our stay was acceptable, room was decent. The only complaint we have is the mold in the tub... apparently maid must have missed it a few times! Never the less, out stay was enjoyable and the staff was great. Nice little getaway 😁

It was not clean, there were flies in the room and cockroaches crawling around. The walls were dirty, the door lock had been broken and repaired poorly. The sliding door to the bathroom did not close all the way.

First time staying at this place and it was better than I expected because prior I had read the reviews and I tell you pls don’t listen to the negative reviews! My room smelled nice when I walked in. It was very clean. Safe and quiet place. I had a comfortable stay. Affordable price for the weekend! Customer service was 10/10. Super friendly with an affordable security deposit of $50. I liked that the TV had other streaming sites such as YouTube. Definitely would re book !
