Motel 6 Rancho Cordova, CA - Rancho Cordova East

Needed a shower prior to hospital surgery water heater broke at home. $68 i thought ok but at check in they added $50 “deposit” but said i could get it back at check out. Checked in 9:30 pm checked out 12:30 am paid $138 no refund! Room had no tv No shampoo No hair dryer had to go home and dry my hair! No closet, no wall pegs no where to hang clothes! Electric outlet right side of bed did not work thank god i had 10 ft charging cord!

Clean and inexpensive. The bed was a little high and firm for my taste, but there could have been a bed like that at a luxury hotel. I would recommend this for an economical stay.

I did not enjoy anything about our stay at motel 6. (1.) Hotel guests were locked out of the front office after about 9 PM. (2.) The television in our room did not work. (3.) The room and floor did not seem to be cleaned very well. (4.) The sink did not have a drain plug, or any way to close the drain to fill the sink with water. (5.) There were pices of old food and snacks on the floor, especially between the beds and the wall. (6.) There were cockroaches in our room. (5.) No microwave was provided in the room.

Room was quiet, clean, and nice. No bugs or pests or anything bothersome. Had an issue with my room key one night and was resolved quickly and kindly. Location is convenient for what I needed, but I'm from town so I suppose I was ready for that. If you're looking for a hotel close to downtown, please consider that Rancho Cordova is a different, independent city from Sacramento. It's really not that far, but you are looking, and possibly booking, at a hotel in Rancho Cordova. Don't knock them points because you aren't looking at a map. Near the freeway, near lightrail/train and bus stop to get around town. Walking distance to a grocery store if needed. Lamps attached to the headboard, either the bulbs were out or the light itself was broken. Not a big inconvenience, all in all. Bed is quite firm.

The walls in my room were disgustingly dirty, the counters looked like they hadn’t been cleaned, the room smelled like way too much spray, there was a roach in the shower the next morning, & I didn’t get my deposit back???

Staff is nice enough but the property and rooms need some help. All of the linens (bed sheets, towels, etc) were stained all over, the refrigerator was broken, and floorboards were missing in several spots in my room.

At check in, they asked my 19 year old son for his ID and scanned it. They told me if anyone else was coming to the room, not staying there, but coming to visit they would need to check in at the office. I have never, ever had to check in visiting family members or friends if they stopped by or ever had my son or anyone else’s IDs scanned at check in. They must have a problem with homeless (like the one’s trying to check in before us). Stay at your own risk. Just a weird vibe overall.

I was surprised that there was no shampoo, just a bar of soap, or a coffee maker, but maybe that’s standard for a motel six. There was a strange event with people screaming in the night (other guests in the hotel) I was about to check or call the police, but then I think the night manager asked if people were OK and then it quieted down. No bugs in the room, sheets were clean, so I imagine this is what I paid for.

This could be a wonderful Motel 6, unfortunately the long term residents set off their car alarms and drive in and out with car radios blaring and stare down from the balconies at guests. All seemingly on purpose, either to get the prices lowered or just to be a nuisance. The AC was broken, both ice machines were broken and the first room smelled awful. The woman that checked me in was very helpful and the night gentleman was not. Bring earplugs and your own ice. Will not stay again.

The hotel room was not clean at all. There was hair everywhere, and the toilet was dirty. The bed sheets were also in poor condition — they had hair, dirt, and even cigarette burn marks, and looked very unclean. Despite it being late at night, I had to try to sleep through constant dog barking from around 10 PM until morning. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

Great location but the quality is lacking. I thought from the photos that the place had a facelift but the workmanship in the 'improvements' or remodel is poor. But the room was clean. Towels a bit threadbare. Price is reasonable for what they offer, or don't.

However, the room was clean, the property was remarkably quiet, the long term stay residents that we met were nice, and while the property amenities are basically non-existent, everything we could possibly need was within walking distance. meet My only genuine complaint was the three ice cubes that the machine was able to spit out at 7:30 am was nowhere near what I needed for my cooler, but the gas station across the street meet that need. Bottom line: I was on a budget, the price was right, I would not have any problem staying there again.

Too many smoking outside cause long problems being loud. The front desk staff are rude. They are very disrespectful towards a woman. They do communicate with their staff. At all. And they call you out of your name the first chance they get. They call the cops on people and lie on them. And the cops also harass you as well.

There was a lot of hair in the shower. It looked like it wasn’t even cleaned, and there was cracks on the floor. You could see right through the floor.

Im gonna give an honest review to all the travellers thinking about going here. I went here for 3 nights and ill say it was a pretty good experience. The workers were nice and accommodating, the neighbours had dogs which was kinda annoying but it was quiet most of the time. In general the motel was actually very clean and the house keepers did a good job. But some of the people that were staying there were lowkey weird but if there were more travellers going here it would be a really good motel. Just request for a room that has no neighbors or is secluded from where everyone is and youll be good. The parking lot was good too

This Motel 6 is by far the cleanest one I have ever stayed at. The entire motel staff was great. Do not let the location be a hinder. It appears that the motel staff keeps the property clean and free of intrusions. I plan on staying there anytime I am in Rancho Cordova.You will not find a better rate in town.

This is probably the worst hotel/motel experience I’ve ever had. I’m traveling so I didn’t get there till one in the morning. Check-in went smoothly, but I was given a room in which the heat did not work. The toilet ran most of the night. The mattress was rock hard, not firm -hard. The pillows were also hard and for lack of a better description crumbly I was afraid to look at what was really under the pillowcase. Still, I could overlook everything but the heat. I wasn’t able to sleep. I got maybe 3 1/2 hours total and then I just needed to get in my car to warm up. It was too cold to shower. It was a horrible experience.

Every year our friends host NYE party in Fair Oaks, and we usually stay at their home overnight. This year we decided to stay at this Motel 6 because very close from Fair Oaks and we wanted to sleep quietly from the party. This hotel was quiet and we could sleep well, also coffee shops and restaurants are just across the street, super convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

The property was clean, well maintained and free of loud or obnoxious guests. I was looking forward to have a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning from the front desk but that wasn’t available at that time.

I didn't have any issues with the staff or check-in or out process, that was quite easy. I found a dead cockroach in my room and the bed was not comfortable. I would likely not stay here again, but the location is quite convenient.

Bed caused pain in my back and joints. Heater looked vandalized and not repaired. I felt extremely unsteady standing in the shower tub. It was slippery!

The room was fine outside of finding a cockroach on the floor. We were kept up all night for 2 out of the 3 nights due to domestic violence issues downstairs. We complained to management, and they didn't care at all. This place is absolutely horrible.

Upon first look, it looked nice. But then as I took a closer look, and smell, I realized I was dead wrong. Firstly, the rooms all reeked from the toxic cleaning product that they use. All of my clothes stank of it that I had to wash everything and my bag is currently outside airing out the stench. There were hairs in the shower and on the floor, the lock on the door was broken, the button for turning on and off the a/c was broken, and the bed was hard as a rock.

The room was pretty clean, the staff was nice. My key card kept having to be reprogrammed, though, which wasnt ideal (even after being reprogrammed and then just sat on the desk for a few minutes).

Poor quality, and staff Overselling units not respecting reservations and no solution. I was left stranded with my minor after booking reservation more than a month in advance. Office person simply said he over sold rooms and was fully booked now

This Motel 6 has become my go to stay in Rancho Cordova. The price is good and the room is clean, bed is comfortable and most times can park near my door. Many fast food places are an easy walk for lunch or dinner.

The room was not in good condition, especially what the nightly price was. They were sold out and could not be moved to another room. Had to go to a hotel 40 miles away due to availability

This is Motel 6, though -- so the walls are all paper thin. If this sort of thing bothers you though, you probably already know it and book accordingly. I could hear everything happening outside even with the window closed and curtains drawn. Aside from that, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a basic motel.

Should tell people about the curfew is at 7pm before they get the money or the deposit.. I called ahead of time and ask questions and he never said anything until i got there to check in.. i should be give my money back for the stay when I could have gone somewhere else. With my deposit I should get back. I’ll never go there again

The bed wasn't comfy. The place didn't feel safe, the people staying in nearby rooms were extremely loud, shouting at each other outside and or slamming their doors. We didn't sleep well in the 2 nights we stayed. I believe some are living there based on what they were yelling about. Never again will we stay at this Motel 6!

The housekeeping staff was great the two ladies that helped me when I came back to on my room to the bathroom ceiling having a water bubble and the whole bathroom covered in who know what kind of water! The front desk however could have cared less he was very nonchalant in a way that was off putting. He informed me there was no maintenance on the grounds and he would see anyone in housekeeping could help me. He did not call back to see if I needed a new room or if any of my property was ruined. I’m not sure but he definitely gave me an ick. Luckily I was checking out the next day.

I was in room 117. The TV didn’t work. The bed was horrible. The handheld showerhead had almost no water pressure. I would not have been able to wash my hair even if I wanted to. The past three or four times I have stayed here. The Wi-Fi has never worked.

2. The room was too small; there was literally no place to lay my suitcase horizontally, which I think is why the room did not have one of those foldout luggage stands. So every time I wanted to get something out of my suitcase or put something back in it, I had to unzip it and re-zip it.

Well this was my second time staying here, This time a standard room, a regular mattress not a foam , so what, one one the best nights sleep. I bring my shampoo with me. Wifi is good. I liked the fact that this motel is close to the freeway and is close enough to my work.

Both motel 6 and Expedia said I would get refund for the last day. Both of you lied to me and said my refund is denied. Go to hell. I will Never use Expedia again. And I will be letting everyone I know not to use Expedia. I have my own business, I know lots of people. You will lose business.

The past two nights I had someone yelling around my room that someone call 911 he’s trying to kill me, that is scary, so I called 911 Saturday night never left my room don’t know what happened I don’t feel very safe at night.

This was my 10th week going to Rancho Cordova. I have stayed at 3 other hotels in the area , the time Motel 6.. I was a bit worried about this booking, but worried for nothing. Check was easy, location of my room was ok. Room was clean, bed was foam and I slept will. Had a tub shower combo a big plus, Towels and bedding in room good quality. WIFI best I have had in Rancho Cordova. Many places to eat in very walkable area.. No breakfast here ok. This place will be my first pick, dollar for dollar I say I will rebook soon. thank you Motel 6 for a nice stay.

I think I got lucky that time...this time my room was so gross that I had to ask for a room change for the first time in my life. There was an immediate moldy stench when I walked in. There was some goopy substance all over the desk, a bunch of weird white gooey pebbles all over the floor in the bathroom, and a CIGARETTE BURN on the bed sheet, clear as day. Just there, on the folded part near the top. They honestly need to fire their cleaning person, they are horrible at their job. The guy at the front desk was super nice and gave me a new room, but the new room had a horrible cigarette stench, despite all rooms being "Non-Smoking". Otherwise not as dirty as the last room, and I didn't want to be too much of a bother so I decided to put up with the cigarette stench because it was just one night. Definitely going to think twice about staying here again.

This is a very basic room but nicely remodeled. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately, there was a lot of road noise, sirens, people walking about and talking loudly all night. We did not get a good nights sleep. They allow dogs which is nice since we were traveling with our pup. The dog area outside the office was full of poop that wasn't picked up. The location did not feel safe.

Our experience there has declined in the last few years. This is a hotel we have stayed in for a combined total of 95 days spread over 4 years. We had dark hairs in all the towels embedded into them all and the beds caused our kids raised welts and rashes from the heavy chemical cleaners not rinsed out. TV was reported not working to managment and we declined the troubles of moving rooms due to the sheer stuff we had (we had a tablet to watch cartoons). Just dissapointed and worn down from the disrepair there. Overrun by homeless fighting around the streets.

I’m really happy with my room and the staff here, the room is smaller but that’s fine, I’m happy staying at this Motel 6.

It was a terrible experience as we were getting ready the electricity went out. I was told that we were not able to use the hair dryer due to the high voltage.

THIS PLACE IS RAN BY INDIANS AND WHEN WE STAYED THERE WE COULD SMELL THEIR FOOD WHICH WAS VERY STRONG. THE CURRY SMELL WAS SO STRONG YOU COULD SMELL IT OUTSIDE DOWN THE HALL. MANY DRUG ADDICTS LIVE THERE. MANY HOMELESS PEOPLE LIVE THERE. NOW HOMELESS PEOPLE WERE VERY SWEET AND HELPFUL. BUT THE MANAGERS TREATED THEM HORRIBLY. THEY HAVE ZERO COMPASSION!! ROACHES MANY ROACHES! THE ONLY THING WE FOU D PLEASNT WERE THE HOUSEKEEPERS! THEY WERE THE NICEST WOME. EVER! BUT I HAYE THEY WORK FOR SUCH A DISGUSTING BUSINESS! THE GOVERNOR NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THESE MOTELS AND FIRE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE" RUNNING" THEM AND HIRE GOOD, COMPASSIONATE, CARING, KIND HEARTED PEOPLE. PAYING $140-$150 A NIGHT FOR A PLACE THAT HAS NO MICROWAVE, BUGS, CLOGGED SINK, DIRTY , DIRTY!!!! JUST HORRIBLE AND I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT I WONT BORE YOU. THEY EVEN TOOK AWAY THE DAMN VENDING MACHINES AND PUT THE SNACKS AND DRINKS IN THEIR OFFICE AND PUT A RIDICULOUS PRICE ON A BUNCH OF ITEMS YOU CAN GET FROM WALMART OR DOLLAR STORE. My room smelled like dirty dog especially when i used the heater, there was a small roach in my tub, the shower head was trapped with electric tape and sprayed water all over, the towels were dingy grey, no hair dryer. This is safe quiet place to stay for a budget price. Everything was very clean, the front desk people were nice.

The front desk staff was always very helpful and available. The cleanliness was definitely an issue. In the room we were in, there were 2 queen beds. One of the beds was covered in hair, some long and some were obviously pubic - so gross!!! The other bed had no hair in it, but had a massive stain in the middle of the fitted sheet. We really did not want to sleep in either bed, but the stain was the lesser of the evils. Our room was serviced daily, but was lazily done with minimal cleaning and no replacement of towels nor inserts for the ice bucket. There were a lot of homeless people outside and there was even a truck that pulled in and was taking pictures of my wife as she stood outside. He then proceeded to ask her for the wifi password. Definitely not a safe vibe.

Check in was at 3, we arrived at 3:40 and our room wasn't ready. We had to wait while it was cleaned. When we got in it was definitely clean, but the floor was cracked, the bottom of the bathroom door looked like there had been a flood and the door was not repaired and a hole in the door itself had been "fixed" with what felt like some kind of putty. It was malleable and people had marked it. There was also a long hair on the door inside of the bathroom. The ice bucket was chipped amd the phone kept falling off the hook which was really annoying. Also had problems with charging using the usb and outlets by the bed. Nothing would charge there. Had to use the ones under the TV. Finally, no hair dryer. That was a first for me. The employees were ok but definitely did not seem happy.

Really bad service, I booked room #221 and got duty room with yellow urine stains on the sheets (can provide photos). Then manager gave me another room but it was the same situation. I asked make refund. They started shouting and screaming 😱 After that they agree and made refund. I do not recommend visiting this hotel. They are damaging the brand Motel 6 with such service.
