Comfortable beds. Refrigerator door broke. Cricket and spider in room. Holes in walls patched poorly. Pieces of building flew off during storm. Looked older than 8 years old.

Clean room all was good

The pool had no lights and was dirty! The doors do not work too go outside other than the front door! The food was nasty! Out of date

Staff was great! Needed a room for our us and our family dog for a night because he was at the emergency room vet near by all day and we live 3 hours away, not only did they have clean safe dog friendly rooms they went out of their way to ask how he was doing when they saw him.

Hot tub didnt work everything else was ok

Our TV kept going off and on every two minutes only during the evening, very annoying . Never got to enjoy the pool as is was not heated and cold. The jets in the tub were not working and the phone in our room had no service. …

The pool and hot tub are down. There are now key cards for the room-the desk attendant has to be called every time you want in or out of the room. The heat in the room and hallway didn’t work. It was 20

No apple juice , scrambled eggs were a little hard. Key cards wouldn't work so always had to have worker use master key to let us back in room , pool and hot tub was down. Pillows were a little soft and went flat after about an hour. It's a clean hotel though. Probably wouldn't stay again thiugh

The cable service was horrible. This was all over the hotel. It would play for a couple of minutes then there was a message that it was either a weak signal or a scramble channel. So no TV. When we complained they said they had been having this issue for some time and can’t seem to resolve it. Staff was wonderful. The bedding was first rate. The room was clean. Breakfast like all hotel breakfasts. I would stay there again if the TV service was fixed.

Dropped our luggage upon arrival and socialized downstairs. Came back a bit later to unpack and the room was not cleaned. There was hair on the floor, carpets had not been vacuumed (paper clip among other noticeable items on floor) and questionable stains on the window covers. Asked for a clean the next day (to divulge, we were offered another room however I was traveling as a family of 5 and that would have been a complete headache to pack up and unpack into another room) room was “cleaned” the next day and I had to vaccum the room myself after a cleaning cart was left I. The hallway and I was unable to locate crew. Staff was pleasant, breakfast was hot and had great options but definitely have opportunity on cleaning crew with standards.

The beds were comfortable and room was clean. However, several problems occured. The elevator was out of order and my handicapped wife had to climb stairs. The stairway handrail came completely off while we were climbing the stairs. The next evening the handrail was still laying on the stairs. This facility needs a handy man.

The elevator didn't work and the tv didn’t work. There was no one available to fix the tv. Not up to Holiday Inn standards yet was charged Holiday Inn prices.

The first night we checked in the receptionist was amazing. She was so kind, and tried her best to address our concerns with the cleanliness of our room. There were a few cleanliness issues regarding our room. Stains on the couch, a weird blue scrub left in our bathroom, old food on one of the stools, and all of our towels were stained. The receptionist offered to switch us rooms. The pool/hot tub was nice but the bubbles were broken for the hot tub which made the experience a bit awkward. Overall, okay experience

The design of the lobby was bright and airy. The room was a decent size and very clean! The bathroom was very tired with cracks in the shower, definitely needs updating. The heat system didn’t work and kept making buzzing noises and fan would try to start and then stop. It did it 7 times and quit for 20 minutes. This kept us up most of the night.

We did not get the room we paid for, was told it was unavailable. The room we had was DIRTY. The room had dirty towels and the toilet was disgustingly dirty. Had to go down and it was not super easy getting a new room. Was told multiple times we don’t have what you booked available. Not worth the money.

The staff was wonderful so very helpful and the breakfast with cinnamon rolls was tasty

We prepaid all rooms and a couple in our party got charged for their room. Hope that gets resolved. He couldn't get a receipt upon leaving that stated zero balance. All rooms(we had 6) were supposed to be Kings and we had a Queen. Rooms were all sold out so couldn't switch.

Very slow check in process.

Broken tiles in and around shower; missing caulking in and around shower; broken hair dryer; out of service ice machine; not up to expectations for $150 a night.

Hotel is directly across from Rantoul baseball facility. Perfect location and right near the expressway.

It was a good nights stay and a good breakfast. It was about 30 minutes from our venue but not bad. Holiday Inn is dependable.

I want to give a special shout-out to the very kind young woman staff member whose job title I'm unsure of. She was wearing a black shirt with black pants (I think), and she had an orange scarf around her head and was African American. When I got to my room after check-in, the key wouldn't work. She went upstairs to help three times for me and got a new key made--but there was some misunderstanding on my part, and I wish I had thanked her properly and given her a tip-- I'm a senior citizen and was too tired to think at that point. She was just 5 minutes from ending her shift as well. It was about 9pm on August 4th. If there is a way for me to send her a tip, please contact me on my email. Awesomeness great customer service throughout

The bathroom was very dirty and smelled of urine. The bathtub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time and the drain was partially clogged resulting in a bath during my shower. I walked around the room without shoes and ended up with very dirty feet. I expected more from this hotel.

It is very close to the fields, so that was a really helpful. However, it really needs some renovation. The paints on the walls were coming off, the curtains and walls have stains on them. Tubs had water stains. There were stains even on ceilings.

We were visiting Rantoul Family Sports complex for a soccer tournament. The location is extremely convenient if playing at the complex. However, we booked this higher priced hotel because they have a pool/hot tub for the kids to relax in between games. We were not notified that these amenities would be closed during our stay. We would have chosen one of several less expensive hotels in the area if we had know in advance. So far no offer of compensation from the hotel.

Everytime we stay here the pool is closed. I travel with my grandkids and it’s one of the reasons we pick this property. The pool was NOT available our last 3 stays!!!!!! We are from out of state and stay three nights 2 or 3times a year!

Clean facilities

The hotel is close to the Interstate and close to Walmart and the town of Rantoul. I will stay here again.

We actually did not get to stay. We had a family member become sick and could not make it. When trying to cancel I tried to call the phone number on the site and it sent me to a call center that told me I needed customer service. He tells me he will text me the phone number and hangs up. I never got a text. I spent the next 30 minutes trying different phone numbers before I decided to try the hotel number again. This time I got a live person. She said she would cancel it and I would get an email verification. Never received the email but still got charged the full $582 for two nights that we didn’t even get to stay. I also looked on hotels.com to try to find information and could not. I will not be using hotels.com again.

The location is perfect for the sports complex however closing a pool after cancellation day is poor. Also the room was not very clean with a dead bug on the bathroom counter, a dirt ring in the bathtub and standing water and moldy blind in the laundry room. :(

I wanted to point out, that people in the town of Rantoul, Illinois are some of the nicest people I have ever met on a trip. It was a great stay.

It seems well taken care of every year when we’re traveling through. Great place for a good night rest.

The parking lot is really small. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been. Although, housekeeping showed up at 8:30 wanting to clean our room. Our kids weren't even up yet. The rooms they were cleaning down the hall when we left smelled very chemically. The room was comfortable. Would stay again for a night on our way through.

Had to move rooms due to there being crumbs left from the last guest. Close to soccer field which was a plus. Lady in the kitchen area was super nice

Also, we were given an accessible room and that’s not a problem at all, but the shower head would not stay raised for us to shower. Hotel property and our room were clean.

The hotel seemed pretty new. Typical Holiday Inn Express. Pool area was like a sauna and the hot tub was out of order. There was a large crack in the tile in our bathroom. Some stains on the shades and some of the walls had wear and tear. Although I didn’t eat the breakfast, the selection and quality seemed legit. It was quite expensive for a one-night stay. However, it was booked same day so that’s probably why. Overall, not horrible, but not the best experience.

I would like to compliment the woman who prepared the breakfast. She was about as nice and welcoming a person I've ever met. She cared about providing an outstanding breakfast experience but it was her warmth and hospitality that was special. Please thank her for us.

We have stayed here a couple of times for a basball event. Great breakfast selection, clean rooms, abs friendly staff.

Very close to the Baseball Tournament our grandson's team played in ! Our only problem was the elevator broke down and we were on 4th floor and I have difficulty with steps as I have Multiple Sclerosis ! The next day after the elevatorwas repaired we had a power outage in that area and luckily I had made it to 1st floor before the Hotel lost power !

My son and I stayed here as he was trying out for a baseball team. The hotel is built solely for the purpose of housing teams playing baseball at the nearby complex and they seem to really understand that. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was wonderfully pleasant. The free breakfast was hearty and tasted good. All around, great experience.

The hotel was a little run down. The carpet had a rip in hit, holes in the wall were patched but not painted and the tub was slow to drain. Great location for baseball, great service but the hotel is dated and old.

At first, the near-rural location of this hotel was a mystery. Then I notice the proximity of the family sports complex. Very cool and, yet, very quiet. A good relaxation from a day of high speed driving.

Nice breakfast buffet, including hot food choices. Excellent fitness room with treadmills, elliptical, bike, free weights AND scale. I would DEFINATELY book again.

No parking on site for trucks or vehicles woth a trailer.

I stay at this property at least twice a year as this is my hometown. It is a great place to stay with young kids. Breakfast is nice and convenient. During the holiday season, we visit Hardy's Reindeer Ranch, although that is a great place to visit anytime. We love Monical's Pizza and Ott's (& Just Hamburgers in Paxton). Those are our musts when in town. It was great to see all of the new businesses moving into town.

As usual, an exceptional experience at this specific location. Very well staffed, curteous, attentive and noticeably invested in customer satisfaction as well as taking pride in their work. I equate the effort to be superior to many 4 and 5 star hotels in my past. The total staff's performance solidifies an already excellent facility. Of note, the breakfast is the best around.

Quiet and well maintained

Great location and easy to get to. Lots of fast food close by. My only complaint is that we were on in an end room close to the highway, so there was some noise but not too bad. Also, they could use some blackout curtains as the blind didn’t reach all the way to the bottom.

Kim, at the front desk, was amazing. So helpful when we needed to adjust our room count. Checked in on July 28th for an all weekend stay, only to find out the pool was out of service. This was a big disappointment as we were at an outside event all weekend and was really looking forward to taking a couple breaks in the middle of the day to come back to the hotel to swim because it was so hot. Everything else was nice, clean, breakfast was good.

This was a good stay. Front desk ladies very nice. Comfortable bed and pillows were very soft. Small kitchenette with Microwave and Refrigerator. Kerig coffee maker. Nice shower needed sealed at bottom . Took a while to get hot water, but be patient. Very nice lounge chair, but had a nasty looking spot on it. Lots of plugs for gadgets. Breakfast was good, the sausage links excellent!

A very nice hotel, good hot breakfast, pricey especially on weekends. Stayed here many times and usually garners top rating, however, this 4 night lodging fell below expectation... 3rd floor ice machine broken, pool and spa inoperable/drained (really sucked)

The front desk staff were not helpful and the pool and hot tub were broken. The pool was the only reason we chose this hotel, and there was no communication that it was not working. Very disappointed. I want my money back, it did not fulfill my expectations.

Great place to stay if you have a tourney at the Rantoul Sports Complex Really easy drive to U of I area. Stop at Guidos if you get a chance

after driving 8 hours we wanted to swim spa but iy was closed. the hotel should have told us that . we would have booked another hotel. when i asked for a discount i was told to bad so sad. no more holiday inns for us

The hotel was very well kept, the front desk and staff were great. Very disappointed the pool and hot tub were not available. I planned a mid day hot tub break for my stay that i couldnt enjoy becsuse of the closure to that part of the hotel.

Very nice property! Sad thing was the pool wasn’t working. When that’s your biggest amenity you got to have that working! Or call and tell guests it’s out of service so we can decide if we want to go to a different hotel. Ha! Yeah right!

I arrived late, front desk person was helpful and pleasant. My room was delightful, so clean and very comfortable bedding. The weather went from warm to cold and nasty overnight but I was always comfortable. Overall great experience will pick this place again as it is near my child’s university.

Negative - Prices were higher because it was Mom’s weekend.
