Location was right off the freeway. Close to restaurants. Although the restroom was clean, it had a strong smelled of urine. Needs to be cleaned with bleach.

Clean, nice room The booking claimed there was a free “grab-n-go” breakfast (like almost every hotel has). I wake up in the morning to zero breakfast? The staff told me oh it’s okay because I can order really expensive room service. There were two other groups of people there as well, complaining about the same thing.

The staff were excellent. I had to check in early and there was a room for me. The very nice lady took two minutes to get me registered and I made it to my meeting. The entire time that I was at the hotel, the staff provided excellent service. Thank you!

That it was close to the freeway. Cockroach in the room and the ac was super load and called front desk and they wouldn’t answer.

Room had a broken tv in it . Maintenance said they would replace but just left for the day . Would not stay again .

The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean and spacious. My only complaints were: 1) the bathroom sink drained slowly, 2) had problems with the WiFi, and 3) I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs to my room.

Next door at Red Lion had a bar and food that was great. They had a band at 8:30 that was fun and had a big local following. Friendly staff. No jets in hot tub. Not good complimentary breakfast due to construction activities which created inconvenience

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, shower was hot!! Breakfast burritos that were available were not edible and there was nothing else but oranges available.

It was in a very convenient location to explore Redding and the surrounding areas. The pool was well kept, too! I think the layout of the hotel was fun to navigate. Bathroom smelt a little like mold and the room had a weird set-up that made it a little hard to get from one side of the room to the other.

They double charge me for the room!!! They said it would be refunded the next day, but it took 7 days after I called my bank. Will not stay here again

Two sets of stairs just to get to first level of rooms… does not appear to be convenient ada compliance for patrons

Had an earwig and spider in the shower, way too many electric vehicle spots in relation to regular parking spots. Like do you really need 20 open spots reserved for electric vehicles

I always return to this facility as the cleanliness, amenities and service are excellent.

It smelled nice in the lobby, the rooms were comfortable and clean! Great place! The only bad thing was they were doing construction and didn’t have breakfast or coffee available.

Hotel has construction going on. No restaurant or facilities for breakfast. Noisy in halls at night. Staff however was great.

Hotel is fine but TV's were a joke bad cable picture and no streaming as not Smart TV's pretty sad in this day.

Gym was small but dumbbells was all I needed. Hot tub was out of order, but the pool was fun.

Alex at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and swift with our check-in. Rooms were clean. Restaurant was under renovation but the hotel offered a voucher to a nearby restaurant, which was thoughtful. TVs in the room are whimsically small, but who cares :) My boys enjoyed the gym and the outdoor pool was maintained well Would stay here again.

The room was spotless and very large. The bed was firm but comfortable and a overall very quite and relaxing place.

Rebekah was warm, professional, and efficient. Her friendliness felt authentic, not forced. The room was clean and quiet, and overall I had a very positive experience.

Room spacious with fridge and microwave. Comfortable beds. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, there was only one near the sink in the kitchen area. Would be nice if there was a kettle to make tea in the room as the coffee machines are not adequately cleaned to make tea. Staff seemed friendly

I left my jacket and pillow in my room by mistake after checking out. I called just a few hours later to tell them I’m coming back to get it and was told they didn’t have my jacket. Housekeeping or another staff member stole worth $200 of my personal belongings after I paid to stay at night here

No breakfast, no aquarium as pictured on Expedia. Rooms a lil difficult to get to with luggage. Staff quite nice-but didn’t explain odd wifi instructions, which would have been helpful. Room was ok, mattresses could use an upgrade.

Just enjoyed our stay as we were only there one night for a stop over, it was perfect.

The room we had was by the freeway and very noisy. It felt like the window was opened, it was so loud. But the window was closed. Also we felt like we paid a lot forwhat we got. The price on expedia went up while we were trying tofind a place. We felt rushed to choose a motel; and we felt as though we had to grab something just to get a room. Bottom line paid a lot for a noisy room, poor nights rest and no breakfast. We will not stay here again!

had a very good stay. the accomidation was a great experience and my one thing was comfort, facility and safety. i loved the pool clean and comfortable water , however the spa looked a little green looking forward to using it on the next trip. directions were a hard to understand, however, to find help with directions was so warm and welcoming, they guided us to our destination. thank-you to the staff and behind the desk staff.

I love the remodel! The space is sprawling, so if you’re in the back or upstairs expect a long walk. It’s faster from the parking lot.

After we had checked we were told there was no hot breakfast but there would be cold options. We came out the next morning and there was nothing. The advertising and the staff were misleading unfortunately

The room was comfortable but the bathroom door was broken. The pool was filthy. I ended up cleaning the pool myself using a plastic cup with holes punched in the bottom. My first hour was spent “scooping” out debris/dead bugs.

This property was just what we were looking for in a one night stay over so we could check out both Lassen NP and Burney Falls before we fly out from Sacramento.

I blame Expedia for this. The hotel was going thru major renovation and there were no food services. We picked this place because we needed to get moving in the morning and were planning on having breakfast at the hotel. It is part of IHG and it was posted on their website, but I should not have to doublecheck services.

We were first sent to a room that hadn’t been cleaned. When we called to fix the problem, they wanted us to wait until someone could get there to clean it for us, when I asked if they could just switch us rooms they acted like there weren’t any to be switched to. As soon as I walked down to the lobby to figure the situation out, we had magically been switched to another room, and was even asked where on the property we wanted to stay. The rooms were clean enough. Carpets were a little dirty, as in stains. In our bathroom there were cobwebs and a little friend named charlotte who lived in it during our stay. Staff was nice enough.

There was no bar, no restaurant and breakfast was not included. It was under construction and there was no mention of this when booking. When asked, no compensation would be provided either.

They were renovating the restaurant, so it was not open for dinner. The pool was nice and the area had some decent dining options.

This is an older property that has been and is still being renovated. Being a taller person above 6 ft i almost hit my head in the hallways and the shower head came up to my neck but everything else was great. Amazing customer service, clean property and rooms, and a very comfortable stay

I paid $200 for a premium room with bf. the room was nice but ac wasnt working and after a few hrs at around 10 pm i was given a normal room.There was also construction going on in the lobby and the paid breakfast was the same as the one which is included free in most hotels . Though they agreed to refund 15% back for the downgraded room, it wasnt worth the trouble. They should check if the amentities are working before the check in.

The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned, old wash clothes were still in the bathtub when we checked in. We were also told the rooms were recently remodeled, as the lobby was currently under construction. But, the bathroom in our room was not updated and the toilet did not flush all that well. It was a one night stay, which was fine, but not a place I would be happy to spend several nights at.

Restaurant and bar were too quality

The staff was especially accommodating to our large group there for a weekend retreat. They went out of their way to serve us, and it was appreciated

I was impressed with the great service from the front desk. She was very friendly and super helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was really nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The trashcans around the property were full and overflowing the entire time we were there. The trashcans in the back parking lot stunk every time we had to go in the door.

Overall good stay. Room was clean with all amenities we needed. Breakfast could use some help ... Eggs over done, biscuits hard from being in the warmer too long. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Elevator was non functional (we were told it was for the hotels renovation that we learned of on arrival) and no room on 1st floor so my biz partner and i had 2 rooms on 2nd floor. Two of 3 stairwells marked off limits apparently due to renovation. We only needed a single night on a biz road trip. Would not stay there again and Holiday inn lost its rep in my book. I know the need for renovation bit accomodate your guests. The fact my business partner was recovering from foot surgery didnt help.

Check in was efficient. Elevator was broken, and they had no first floor rooms, which was unfortunate, as we were traveling with several bikes. Stairs were a little cumbersome- had to go up, make a sharp turn, then down. We managed; were cyclists :). I think the walls are thin- my husband and daughter were laughing and bantering a little just before bed, and our neighbors started banging on the wall. We’ve never had that happen before, anywhere. Shower pressure was amazing, hot water was HOT! No recycling that I could find on the property. They have a restaurant for breakfast- $12ish pp; we did not eat there. They did fill my bottle, which was great. Overall it was fine for a one night pass through. Beds and pillows were comfy

Everything I needed for my 3night stay while I participated in the New Earth Events Psychic and Healing Fair.

As they are refreshing the decor, the parts that finished are so modern and as always clean. There is a small breakfast buffet you pay for if you wa t to eat in the very nice dining room that serves a delish menu.

Nice stay. Thought breakfast should be included. Buffet was not worth the extra cost.

Breakfast was advertised as free but when we went downstairs to eat there were no plates and we were told breakfast would be $12.50. While we were eating, the front desk clerk came and said breakfast would be on them.

The bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet.

Pretty expensive for a mid-tier hotel.

Our room was dirty so they gave us another one. The staff was friendly and nice, but it was still gross to check into a room covered in crumbs and other food droppings. Everything looked like it was falling apart, even our room number barely existed. The photos make the place look a lot nicer than it was.

The check-in process took forever. The room had a very weird empty extra space- hard to describe but it was a suitelike it was supposed to be a suite but it was left unfinished. This was for a "premium" room. The TV was old and outdated and cable TV didn't include Bay Area sports (despite the channel being on the printed hotel list) so no Warriors game. Breakfast is an extra charge ($12 each I think). Overall, I think you can do better in the area.

Great hotel, enjoyed our short stay. Front desk service could be better. Long check in and waited 20 minutes to get an extra key while two other guests checked in.

Nothing special about this hotel. Desk staff acted as if we were inconveniencing them by checking in. Rooms were average at best. They could use a good thorough cleaning.

Room was cleaned only 2 times in a 6day stay. One of the night time female desk workers is not happy to be working here. The other evening female desk employee is great.

Pretty close to freeway and shopping malls. But the walk from front desk to room is too long and need to walm up 2 stairs.. not good for people who have kids and big luagages.

Got in very late- was grateful the room was at a good temp and that not only did the bed have standard king size pillows but that there was a full size sink outside the bathroom with a fully illuminated mirror so we didn’t have to crowd each other out trying to get ready for bed.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and everything there is excellent. However, I was uable to make this trip and this was the first time I used Expedia to book my travel. Never again!!!!!! I purchased the trip insurance in addition to paying for the hotel. I was not granted a refund - the reason for my cancellation was not one of the reasons to choose. I love the Holiday Inn Express in Redding and will stay there again in the future - but I will NEVER use EXPEDIA again.

Rooms were fine, two sinks was noce in the room, there was a wet spot in the carpet between the beds but over all clean and comfy.

Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet and slept well. Close to some good restaurants.

The biggest criticism is with the EV chargers on site - the non-Tesla chargers do NOT work. There seems to be a dearth of EV chargers in Redding so when we saw that this hotel had chargers, we booked it. I know that the hotel itself is not responsible for the chargers but, the property owner should care that they don’t work - he’s not making any money off of them. We ended up charging at the ONE fast charger at the Target a mile away in the morning which delayed our departure.
