Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness, spaciousness, and comfort of the rooms, as well as the friendly and helpful staff. However, there are recurring issues with the hot tub and pool, breakfast quality, and noise from other guests.

The suite was large and very comfortable. My only complaint was that the walls are a bit thin and I was woken up by loud neighbors.

Breakfast was great. Best stay & rest. Thank you

Might be loud from the highway if they place you in the end of the building

Staff at frontdesk (young guy) was very rude and not professional, argue with guests. They didn't provide the room that we booked, give room that is less in value. Pool and breakfast not provided during our stay but no notification before and no refund. Terrible experience.
- 1.5/5
Nothing First it took me 3 hrs to get booked into the room and after waiting what seamed like forever and 4 booking agents later my kids and I where able to finally rest, my kids had to go have dinner in our car so i could have chance to resolve the issue, second there is no pool! My kids cane in floaties in hand, there is no pool. They disnt have extra pillows and they did not provide soap or lotions like other hotels, the breakfast was whack, you can really tell they are on a budget, and no real blankets on the bed only linens, one of the worst stays.

Nothing we never got in they lost our reservation Everything the whole experience was terrible, the only good thing was the employees trying to help us resolve the issues, which were all above their pay grades

We left very expensive air pods in room and they found and kept them safe for us. Finding an honest hotel is important these days! Breakfast was great and rooms were quiet and clean. Carpet deodorizer was strong smelling

kind staff, great room, yummy breakfast & a spot out front for my dog to use the bathroom. Recommend!

Location was great for doctor appointment. Staff were polite. Easy access off the main street. Shower shampoo shelve is in the wrong location. Hit you elbows on it. Windows are noisy, plane, wind, cars. Not sure why, since it is newly remodeled. Price should be under $150.00.

The hotel was under construction and this was never mentioned or messaged to me. I didn’t find out until I arrived to check in. I came for a surgical stay and there was no hot water, no one mentioned this upon checking in and when I called the front desk about it at 10pm after checking in, they told me to turn on all the faucets in the room and let them run for 15-20 minutes. Which, while trying to wash your hands or keep hygiene high after surgery isn’t the easiest option. I would have chosen a different hotel had I known the stay was going to be like this ahead of time.
- 3/5
Staff was nice, no hot water when showering in the morning. Breakfast very limited.
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing , even with the place being under construction it was still a wonderful stay. Will book again. The site offered roll in beds but when we arrived , we were told they dont offer any roll in beds only have cribs. That was the only cons since we have a big family i was counting on the extra bed.

The room was clean, the bed was ok but a bit hard. There were plenty of plugins for all of our electronics. Most of the staff was nice. The construction in the building wasn’t in the way. The temperature throughout the building was not the same. The bottom floor was cold while the 4th floor felt like it was 80+.

The room was in good condition. I enjoyed the stay, however there was a lot of construction going on. There was a lot of hammering in the morning which distracted me from sleeping in.

Staff was very kind and room was spacious and spotless. I will stay there again.

Hot tub closed. Pool closed. Fitness center closed. Construction noises during the day. Better off staying somewhere else until this changes property owners
- 1/5
They do not have a pool as advertised! Had no hot water for the first 2 days of our stay. Room had trash on floor and blood in bathroom. Tv’s glitched due to signal. Hotel is under construction so the room was dusty. One elevator (out of 2) didn’t work.

Staff was very helpful & kind. Hotel currently undergoing renovation.

The staff was very nice. The location was good for our needs. Breakfast was a huge dissapointment. Sad bagels yogurt and dry cereal. They are undergoing renovations so I give some grace but even so it was still pretty bad. Cobwebs on the light fixtures, smears on mirror, just generally lackluster cleaning standards. The place is under construction so no pool and a decent amount of pounding from the construction. I would stay away for at least 6 months hopefully that will be done and things will get better. It's not a good value right now.

Staff was very helpful and professional It’s under going renovation and booking.com didnt inform us that the kitchen, pool, hot tub all are closed. Obviously there is construction work so it’s not tidy / clean & breakfast is limited to cold items only with no place to sit while you eat.
- 4/5
Water was lukewarm
- 5/5
A little bit noisy, but less so than some of the other hotels in Reno.
- 5/5
All in all awesome

Great quiet place

Arrived on Friday, Aug. 22md with my husband and kids. Check in was fast. Room was on the 4th floor. The room was very clean. I was able to walk barefoot on the carpet knowing my feet wouldn't get dirty. Staff was kind and helpful. They provided pool towels when asked. The gym is a bit small but it was available 24 hours. Breakfast was good. Overall, I would stay again.
- 3/5
Room was unkept. We couldn’t keep bedding to stay on the beds. Didn’t even fit. Ceiling fan was too loud to even run. Water pressure was SUPER LOW. and it took running the water for at least 5 min before you could shower. And even then. Barely warm enough to take a quick shower. Same with sinks. The disposal in our room was so smelly. And if we asked for anything we had to go to the front desk. Towels. Toilet paper. Etc.
- 5/5
The property looks like it’s quite new. The property and room were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Everyone was helpful. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of options. It was good.
- 3/5
The hot tub was "out of order" which was not posted and was quite a disappointment when we learned of it. We actually booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub. Also, the pool was freezing.
- 4/5
Overall enjoyed our stay — however being a Hilton we expected it to be cleaner than it was. The hallways were gross and you could see dirt and dust buildup all along the edge of the carpets, everywhere. Our room had a giant tear in the carpet, in the center of the room, that looked like it had been fraying for months. Containers had torn off the wall and you could see where lots of patching was needed. Staff was extremely friendly — when you could find them. Breakfast was a bust too — we went at 8, thinking that was still early, but half the items were gone and were never refilled for the entire hour we were there. We did love the size of the rooms and the beds were very comfortable.
- 3/5
Was dissappointed for an 8.8 rating. We booked the accesible room in error. Shower handle, to turn on water, spun around & around. Huge cracks in tile. Not kidding...took 8 minutes to get any hot water. Handicap shower seat would not stay up. The blanket under the bedspread was a bed skirt. Flat in the middle and had silky sides. The stay was dissappointing and we won't be back. If nothing else, the bathroom should be repaired for safety.
- 3/5
Good location if you want to save money. But you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. Hotel a little dated, cosmetically could use a facelift. Breakfast was average and hot water issue in room. Got the room at a discounted price, but if I paid full price it would not have been worth the money.
- 4/5
Many good things: full size refrigerator, cooktop, couch, desk, dining table. But the chairs for the desk and dining table were old and uncomfortable.
- 1/5
Filthy items found at the hotel
- 1/5
Stayed here with a family of four for two nights. The location is convenient, but the rooms felt cramped. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming—limited options and not worth the price. Service was basic. Parking was frustrating; valet took 20–30 minutes to retrieve the car, and the area was always crowded. Based on what I heard from fellow travelers, the Hyatt Regency next door offers a better overall experience—more comfort, better value, and smoother service.
- 5/5
1st time staying at Homewood Suites and enjoyed are stay very much. We already booked another stay in LA.
- 2/5
Not a great stay. Staff was rude and unprofessional and didn’t seem to care much, even wearing head phones at the check in desk. Hotel is very dated, many things just did not work. Hot tub out of order, sink was clogged, wifi was terrible and hard to connect to. Several of the exterior doors didn’t work correctly, making them hard to use or inoperable. The rooms themselves were decent but everything else not great.
- 5/5
First time my family & I stayed here & it was wonderful. The staff were super friendly, the hotel all around was clean, the rooms were in clean shape & well taken care of, it was quiet & had the needs of home. Will definitely stay here again when visiting.
- 2/5
The pool was nice. Room was spacious Spa was out of order, light in 1 room didn’t work, cable was terrible, pillows were dirty and stained
- 4/5
The breakfast in the morning was subpar. Only one type of juice available and it was consistent with lightly flavored water. If going later in the morning, they did not restock, so often times the limited selections were non existent or minimal at best. One morning, there was no waffle mix left at 0815 but still many patrons left to eat.
- 2/5
The room was clean but there was lots of damage showing a desperate need for a remodel and repairs. There were four huge tears in the carpet in the living room and damaged walls. The reason for the low review is based on the fact that the shower takes a solid 5 minutes to warm up and never gets Hot. After 12 hours of travel and truck stop bathrooms we all wanted to burn the grim off our bodies but we're met with the most disappointing luke-warm showers.
- 2/5
The suite was great . There was a homeless person outside by our hotel room and making loud noises at night. Pool and hot tub was out of order Personal who checked us in was not accommodating. Breakfast was not great.
- 3/5
My reservation did not show in the hotels data base it was late and we had driven a long way and couldn’t get in to the room that I had paid for no one at Expedia would answer the phone and it was really a strain on my family I had a child and my elderly mother-in-law who needed to lay down
- 3/5
at first the room that room we was going to stay in was not up to par had some cleaning issues, but the place put us up in another one and it was better. what to thank the staff for their service
- 5/5
Great place!
- 4/5
The Hot Breakfast was an important feature that was important for me. At 6:30 a.m., the scrambled eggs and other main "hot" breakfast items were already gone with no replacement for the other guests!
- 3/5
The one bad thing that bothered us was one male who worked behind the desk. He was extremely rude to many of our family. Everyone else was great and friendly besides him. He was a jerk
- 2/5
The check in took forever. The breakfast was bad.
- 2/5
Filthy beds! I check beds first thing, and my bed had a huge blood stain on the ratty old mattress top sheet, along with a clump of dark black hair. Sheets are yellowed and pilled. I was moved to a "clean" room, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all!
- 1/5
Sleeper Sofa was not functioning and lot of time wasted to check and fix it ... after a long wait they gave me a upgraded room where also i faced issued with the light system attached with the fan and need to call the front desk but without help ... at last my son resolved it.
- 3/5
Excellent rooms. Breakfast was terrible. Really inadequate choices. Quality of food really marginal. They should not even offer breakfast. We had to go outside for breakfast both days.
- 5/5
not much choice for breakfast
- 1/5
Extremely poor, that's all I can say. Starting with breakfast, very bad food and service. I asked for help in the room because of a problem with the toilet and they said they didn't have anyone to help me. And the worst thing was that we couldn't use the pool, which was the main reason for fun for my family and especially for my children. For that reason we chose the hotel because they offer that benefit as the main one on the hotel's website. Very disappointed with this stay.
- 5/5
Really lovely check in and breakfast. Nice pool and workout room. We only stayed one night but could see how it would be comfortable for longer stays with full kitchen etc. My only note would to be to dust a bit more often. The fan blades and light fixtures "chandelier" were quite visibly dusty.
- 3/5
Excellent breakfast service. However the swimming pool was so cold as to make it unusable.
- 4.5/5
Move location
- 1/5
after multiple stays i was assigned the worst room at ground floor. Like being in jail because have to keep blinds closed, and even at night bright lights shine through
- 3/5
Located in a nice business park that is quite at night. The building and amenities were new and clean. “Continental breakfast” was very much lacking. There were only two options, one of which was cold by 7:30 AM. No fresh fruit or juice. No milk left out for cereal or oatmeal. This is a standard amenity for similar business style suites in the area. The TV was also on the fritz for most of the evening as well.
- 3/5
We were passing through on our way home and needed a dog friendly hotel. This was our first time staying here, but I found the hotel lacking. Our room wasn't very clean (dirt in the corners of the bathroom floors, carpets in and outside our room in dire need of vacuuming and when we sat outside to eat breakfast, the trellis above the BBQ was thick with dirt and cobwebs. The "included breakfast" from 6-9 was lacking. When we got there around 7:45 a.m., there were no bowls for cereal, no clean spoons, the hot food was almost gone and didn't get replenished. It was just lacking. We usually stay at Hyatt but decided to try this place. We will go back to Hyatt hotels in the future.
- 5/5
The staff here makes returning guests feel at home. Pet friendly. Convenient to doctors, shopping, and a nice park across the street to take a walk.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay here. This is one of preferred hotels.
- 5/5
Good receptionist
- 5/5
Expedia stated dog friendly 'free' hotel. It $75/dog -- need to update your listing
- 5/5
The Hotel was great! The bed however, not so comfortable.
- 5/5
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
- 5/5
Excelente lugar. Me gusto mucho y con gusto iré otra ves.
- 3/5
Pool closed with no notice prior to check in. Breakfast was unusually not terrible. Bed was uncomfortabl, and the room set up just didn’t make sense. Tv could not be watched by anyone in bed or on the couch. Just an unusual set up.
- 3/5
Room smelled like cigarettes. Was told by the front desk it was from someone else’s room. I was berated by the front desk when I mentioned lighting a candle to get rid of the smell. Smelled this way my entire stay , not from someone else’s room. Stale is stale, my dad smoked.
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite hotel and will always stay in homewood wherever I’m away from home. Beautiful room and it has pretty much everything that you need, it feels like home. The breakfast is also amazing
- 5/5
Great beds, great breakfast and great staff
- 5/5
Excelente alojamiento tuvimos toda la familia. Disfrutamos de sus comodidades.
- 5/5
Our suite was perfect size, clean, and up to date. AM breakfast buffet was hearty and delicious, WiFi worked for entire family just great w/o slowing or glitching, parking was free- near to entrance, and easy to find. All the staff was friendly and helpful, but most of all Crystal as she made me and my family’s first time in Reno worth taking to celebrate my dads 80th birthday.
- 5/5
Great location for my travel and expansive breakfast. Rooms were big with a kitchen and full size fridge. I wish the thermostats could be adjusted to a lower temperature. All in all, a decent stay.
- 5/5
Swimming pool and breakfast Spa was not working
- 3/5
The hotel staff was very nice, while the property condition seemed to be reasonable, there was no hot water in the room, we ran 10 minutes shower, the water temperature was still mild.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
The room and property is very clean and modern, nice breakfast, wonderful warm pool and jacuzzi with clean towels and water bottles, fitness room is nice, spacious room, windows that open. We had to leave earlier than expected and staff were so sweet about it and didn’t charge us. Will definitely stay another time. Nice, quiet area, close to downtown, no busy casinos around.
- 5/5
This hotel was clean, breakfast was well stocked. Easy location.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was amazing from the friendly front desk staff at check in, the maid staff making sure our room had everything we needed to the breakfast staff checking in/chatting with us every morning. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel definitely made our list of places to stay again when in Reno.
- 3/5
We like the quiet indoor pool that is open until midnight and easy parking. There is plenty of parking and the surrounding area is quiet. Their complimentary breakfast can be improved and so as the service of the staff. We stayed on the 3rd floor and were woken up at 6 am by the loud noises coming from the 4th floor which seemed like they were already cleaning the room.
- 5/5
Overall the staff are friendly and very helpful during our stay. There is one incident. The gentleman in front desk on 7/6 morning shift was ver rude and inpatient. My daughter left her plush pillow under the blanket and found out the night 7/5 that we were 200 miles away from there. It’s an old plush pillow for kid with her since she’s a baby. She cried sadly. I called hotel on 7/5 10 pm. The lady was very friendly but she cannot found the plush at lost and found. She suggested me to call in on next morning. Unfortunately on 7/6 morning when I called in, the gentleman was very rude and educated me should not leave things behind. He even did not want to understand what we lost and he said he cannot help me if keep him on the phone. After 2 hours I called back, he just said he checked through there is nothing they can find and hang up on me. In the afternoon, I just want to make my effort again and luckily, this time the lady is very nice, hold my call first and check lost and found, nothing found. She took my name, room number, phone number. After 10 minutes, she called me and told me they found the pink/purple plush in the laundry. She told me to email them a shipping label so they will pack and ship out ASAP. The plush got shipped out on 7/7 morning and currently out of delivery. My kid will be so happy to see it back tonight. Thanks.
- 4/5
The hotel is okay but kind of run down for a Homewood Suites. Hot tub was out of order. Room was clean but had black scuff marks all over the walls. Breakfast was acceptable except for the apple juice that had gone bad. Also, the hotel could be better about not having styrofoam cups for the cups and plates.
- 5/5
I liked the location, amenities, cleanliness, parking, and staff. The noise from the highway/interstate was mildly disruptive at night, but I was OK with that due to the great location.
- 5/5
Very good experience
- 1/5
Bad service
- 3/5
Smoke detector goes off with the steam from the bathroom shower which triggers a room alarm? When I called the front desk to discuss it, they said that it happens all the time and their answer was to open a window while I am taking a shower. Huh?
- 5/5
Thank for good and nice serviced
- 5/5
Very family friendly and clean hotel!
- 5/5
The room fit our needs for one night. We had the bedroom and our kids slept on the pullout couch in the living room. Very clean except for the crumbs under the couch cushions. We weren’t able to set the temperature below 72 degrees so it was way too hot to sleep at night. Beside that, the room was comfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel is located in a quiet area and still close to stores and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious, and staff was excellent!
- 2/5
Our son found a pill in the kitchen area of the hotel. It was under the fridge. Staff needs to make sure they clean up a little more thorough. Also upon leaving, person working front desk with glasses and gray pony tail screamed JESUS at our children and said he was frustrated they were not calm and didn’t want to have to fill out medical liability forms if they got hurt. It was extremely rude and disrespectful.
- 5/5
It was a great stay. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was nice. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Great,convenient area.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
Dirty and pets hair all over !! Hot tub out of service
- 5/5
The suites were very clean and well appointed, everything worked as it should. Great pool, free unlimited waters, good snack selection, excellent included breakfast buffet - especially the waffles. Mainly, the entire staff was so friendly, and seemed to care about doing their jobs well.
- 5/5
Easy check in and out.. pets are welcome.. staff is great.. clean.. room was huge.. will be booking again
- 4/5
Check-in was quick, staff was super kind and hospitable, and room was quite spacious.
- 5/5
Huge, clean room with fridge and kitchen, nice helpful staff, fun pool and hot tub, impressive breakfast spread, very nice stay overall. Nice part of town, super cute shopping and restaurants nearby-walking distance.
- 4/5
The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast was good. The front desk lady was really helpful.
- 4/5
The room is huge with bed area, small kitchenette, and living area, and is well-appointed. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The location is very good - close to all kinds of shopping and restaurants. The only thing that was very unpleasant was the noise in the morning from other guests. All kinds of slamming doors, babies crying, etc. More soundproofing of some kind is definitely needed.
- 5/5
Nice area.
- 5/5
The hotel was very easy to get in and out of, and conveniently located. Nice, clean, safe hotel. Breakfast and pool were great.
- 3/5
Adequate but not too much
- 5/5
Very friendly front desk and helpful upon. Check-in. . Fall decorations are festive and welcoming. Pool and hot tub were in good working order and appreciated after a long days drive through a snow storm and flat tire. Breakfast had good offerings.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Very nice and big rooms. Full kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Love the staff they made the stay so inviting with their smiling faces
- 1/5
My wife and I checked in to find a very decently appointed suite, clean and comfortable. Very surprised to turn back the sheets on the apparently freshly made bed to find several pieces of dirt on old sheets. The front desk moved us to another room right away, but otherwise didn’t seem to regard it as an issue. On checkout, we followed up as a matter of course, under the assumption that remaking a used bed is problematic. It turns out that the front desk, which didn’t ask about who was staying with me, randomly assigned a woman’s name to the reservation. Fortunately my wife made the reservation and was with me, so it isn’t something that will lead to questions or marital friction, but the action was not professional or appropriate. Both instances lead me to question the effectiveness of management. But more importantly, I have to advise guests to check that you are actually getting a clean room and bed.
- 4/5
The property itself and the rooms were very nice; however, the noice level was unacceptable. We called the front desk about noisy neighbors above and a party beside us but nothing got quieter. It would've been nice to actually sleep on the weekend getaway from work…
- 5/5
Staffs are very helpful, friendly and courteous. Conveniently located at a quiet and safe place where you can go to tourist spots in Reno in 10 minutes or less. We loved our room. We will definitely stay here again if we’re in Reno.
- 5/5
Clean and well maintained. Breakfast was decent. Availability to the pool was amazing closes until midnight. Great customer service and it’s located in a private location. This made our family feel safe.
- 5/5
The hotel was close to shopping and banking. The room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff and nice breakfast.
- 5/5
Quick friendly check in. Comfy rooms, long pool hours, good breakfast.
- 5/5
Spacious and quiet.
- 5/5
Good amenities, very spacious with good layouts.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Even traveling with a cat was no hassle, and the pet fee was reasonable. The breakfast was delish too! Overall, a great stay.
- 1/5
Terrible service. No fresh towels. No hot water. Only stayed one night, then checked out. Still waiting for refund for last two nights. Staff knew they had a hot water problem, but still rented rooms. Would never stay at Homewood establishments again!
- 5/5
This property was really nice. In the hallway you could hear dogs barking so I was nervous we'd be up all night. But the rooms themselves must be insulated because as soon as you got into your room, you couldn't hear anything. The property is clean. Breakfast had nice hot and cold options. We used the pool and hot tub (both clean). The kitchenette was appointed well enough to to super basic cooking. We mostly used the microwave so we had enough of what we needed. We stayed 3 nights for an event at the convention center. The center is a 3 minute drive right down the same street. In between on the same road is a Walmart and Sams Club, which was so easy and convenient for us. We saw a lady BBQing something outside in the courtyard on a gas grill. The sign said the front desk would loan you BBQ tools. I will remember that for next time. We will definitely stay here again next year for our convention.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, sports court was fun to use after a long day in the car. Good breakfast. Friendly service.
- 4/5
Nice clean and roomy rooms
- 4/5
Our family of four enjoyed our stay for one night. While there were some not-so-stellar moments, they were made up for by the hospitality, convenience, and comfort offered by Homewood. We plan to stay here in the future when passing through.
- 5/5

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The dvd 📀 player wasn’t working right so Robert was sent by. Friendly and very professional fixed the problem immediately. Very nice swimming pool and hot tub. Definitely would book the Homewood Suites again.

Very clean and quiet property. Comfortable beds, and great amenities.

The printed TV channel guide in the room did not reflect the actual channels in any way and there was no guide in their tv system, so you have to plink through each channel and wait for them to load, very tedious. Had to pull the cover of the toilet tank to get it to flush the first time, fixed it. A guest across the hall managed to set off the fire alarm while cooking at 10:45PM. Of course that isn't the hotels fault, but their response certainly is. I waited in the hallway for the entire fire alarm duration (15-20 minutes) and never once did an employee come to give instructions to anyone. Just poor service overall.

The stay was great. Only problem was the wait and lack of food at breakfast, but it was very full due to weather.

Madeline helped us check in on Thanksgiving day, and she was wonderful. She was friendly, informative, and helpful. She even came all the way upstairs immediately when we called down for some extra supplies. She’s has great customer service skills, and do all you can to keep her! Thank you, Madeline, for making our check-in and stay a good one.
