My room was clean and comfortable.

Love the stay was so welcoming.

The pool didnt work the week that we were there. We also had the smoke alarm beep the entire stay. We called maintenance and they replaced a battery and it was still back to beeping especially after the workday. Would still stay here again. Everything else was great! Grounds, food, staff, room,etc.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Well maintained. Quiet & safe property. Smart TVs in the room.

High floors are recommended You should ask for HK to make up your room every three nights In general we loved the place as it fits for families

I did like the hotel in general. Only thing is they definitely have roaches. I do not enjoy doing reviews but I genuinely do not like roaches. At all. And Al’s even thought the bed was clean I kept getting bit by something. I honestly do not know what it was.

The hotel is in a wonderful location. The initial appearances average. The lady who assisted me was pleasant until I asked for a room that was not on the first floor. Then she seemed highly irritated but she made the change. Well the hotel was clean there was a musty smell in the hallway. However, my room was in fantastic condition! It was beautifully clean and fresh smelling. It was a very pleasant room to stay in. The breakfast was unappealing but I appreciated it being offered.

Staff could be more professional. They lied. I reserved a room since I had two rooms. I needed them next to or the same floor. I was told yes, and I was giving a room number to later find out my second room was on the 3rd floor. when I mentioned that I was giving a room number, the staff ignored me. I was on 229 the second room was supposed to be 230, instead it was on the 3rd floor. I asked for an extra blanket, I was told no. The staff were not so nice.

Everything was fine except the shower/tub in room 312A was extremely slippery and dangerous. The tub floor is slick with no tactile coating or safety strips. An accident and potential lawsuit just waiting to happen.

The room was clean, the breakfast was not great. We got a room for 3 people; a king and the pull-out sofa, the sofa bed was broken. We reported it the first night was told that they would send someone up the next day. We had to use the stools and a suitcase to prop it up. Nobody ever came to fix it. We book a 4 day stay, there was no resolution.

Small nasty kitchen roaches under the microwave and in the stove when turned on roaches came out like crazy. Front staff did nothing. Then to make it worse the bed was so hard and unsleepable. We slept on the couch.

the property had many guests but was still quite. The property was very well maintained. Unfortunately, prior to leaving the site was affected with issues with hot water and I was unable to shower. This was beyond the control of the property, so not their fault.

The room smelled like smoke and there was a constant beeping. Thankfully the fixed the issue when we told them. Additionally, beware there is a charge for every little thing in the hotel if anything gets damaged or dirty. $90 for the clock…

They have room service advertising everywhere in the room. But after ordering room service and waiting 1.3 hours for our food, we called to find out what was going on. They stated that it was dropped at the front desk, neither the room service staff or the front desk staff decided to tell us it was there and not at the door (as stated on the website and advertisement). They claimed it wasn’t their fault it sat so long even though their website specifically says delivered to your door! I received no email, text, call to the room. In the end our order was completely wrong and we talked to Karen B on the phone about the service, she was rude, unhelpful, and directly lied to us twice. Will not be returning!

I didn’t like that the basketball rim was broken so you couldn’t use it

I liked the area. Close to school and work. The property was pretty nice and clean. The outdoor areas were nice. The workout facility is in dire need of an upgrade. A few of the machines did not work and there wasn’t a good variety of machines. Also, our room had a very damp smell every time we walked in.

Overall really good place to stay in Richardson exceeded my expectations.

The bed was very comfortable and the suite was large with plenty of room. The breakfast was horrendous. Pancake machine was out of order for our entire 5 night stay and the other options were eggs and rubbery potatoes. Breakfast was not worth it at all. We also had to pay by the hour to check in early when our room was already prepared for early check in.

I like how it was so close to get around to other places. It felt like a community. There is a laundry area on site which was really useful. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Our first room was very nice. We left and came back and the kitchen fell through. The pipe was broken in half. The staff was notified and they immediately switched us to another room.

The room was very spacious and clean. It wasn’t noisy and the front desk clerks were very nice and explained eveeything nicely. I would definitely come back to stay!

Very spacious room. Kitchenette has everything we would need for a longer stay (stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, and plates and cutlery, even a can opener!) and everything is very clean. Friendly desk clerk, easy parking, very quiet.

The suite was nice, but the jerk that was at the front desk hung up on us when we called about the elevator not working. So we called Corporate. They told us to go to the front desk and ask for the manager, no manager available, this is a Saturday, we asked for the managers number, but he said we couldn't call her. So we picked up the business card from the desk for the jerks boss. She was basically rude also, but did tell us to call Expedia and Corporate again. They finally decided to give us a refund for that night. We also went down to the front desk to talk to jerk again to tell him that we couldn't get our door open because a screw was loose and jammed side ways which made it hard to open, once again this man was such a jerk, said he would put in a work order. They showed up Sunday when we were checking out to fix it. They need to fire that man that is the only one left to run their hotel, that is not even a manager, just a front desk check in clerk, won't ever stay at a Sonesta again.

The hotel did not honor my reservation from Expedia and forced my underage kids to stay in a room by themselves. I ordered a 2br suite, when we arrive they said they over booked and didn’t have the 2br available. They made us get two separate rooms which was not close to each other so my kids had to sleep down the hall in a separate room. The manager Dj and the assistant manager was rude and didn’t care about their mistake. I asked the assistant manager for help and she was rude and said deal with it. I would not recommend this property because they do not honor Expedia reservation. They make up they own rooms based on the availability not the reservation

DO NOT BOOK HERE. We arrived and as soon as we entered the building there was a horrible stench of raw onion with humidity everywhere. We entered the room and the smell was so intense I went back and asked for a different room. We got moved to a new room but the smell was still there. Every morning we walked out the smell was everywhere. I went with my kids and my deposit was tied up there already so we had to stay but it was so intense I never want to go back. We also went down to have breakfast every day we were there hoping there would be variation of options yet the same thing was served, scrambled eggs, sausage, there was a small section of bagel bread and milk water and juice. That’s it.. been to many other Sonesta hotels with a vast amount of food options during breakfast where they rotate the menu. We also pulled out the couch mattress for my kids to sleep on, only to find brown stains and hair everywhere. The pillows smelled so foul. This place really lacks on cleanliness. I asked the cleaning lady when she would go in to clean and she said she only cleans each room once a week. Truly disappointing, never ever booking here again.

The front door didn’t work, and apparently people live there long term. These tenants treat the place as their own home and disrespect the property by not cleaning up after themselves or their pets.

The hotel was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable with the exception of the pull out sofa. The pull out sofa had almost no cushion and a bar running right where your shoulders hit. It is very difficult to sleep on; however, if you do not have need of a pull out sleeper, the 2 room suite is wonderful. The hotel is a little bit rundown, but for the cost, and with cleanliness being most important, this is a good hotel.

the only way to get ice easily in from your room fridge, but it’s not easy when your ice maker doesn’t work. Also this is a work oriented hotel. We did not get our room serviced because the maid came by at 7:45 AM, presumably after most people go to work, but it was on a Sunday and they never came back; so no service during our stay. We’re pretty tidy people; so not a huge problem for us, but others might really have an issue.

We stayed here for a long baseball tournament for 4 days. The property itself looks like they are trying to fix up. There are a lot of long term residents who hang out in the parking lots and common areas at night also that indulge in pot smoking around these premises.However once you enter the room it’s very quiet and very clean. The carpets do need to be replaced but since everything else is spotless you can’t complain. Comfy beds and great mini kitchen. The ac works great too… the pool was clean too…breakfast needs an upgrade but was nice. I don’t know if I would stay here again but it was surprisingly clean and we had a nice stay.

We stayed here for two nights with our 4 kids. We got two rooms.. each room had a double bed and a sofa with pull out bed. Rooms are older but well maintained and clean but not blemish free. But everything was so clean that I didn't at any time feel uneasy about the blemishes. AC was amazing. The space is amazing. There could be more toilettries offered and there is no ice/bucket offered. The beds are more on the firm side. Don't count on the sofa bed to be an actual sleep option unless it's for a small child. The mattress in both of our rooms sofa beds were thin and the metal bars through the frames made them physically unable to be slept on by my husband or my 10 yr old daughter or 14 yr old son. Hotel is pretty quiet. Quiet area. Staff was very friendly. TVs are really nice and there is always something to watch on tv. Other guests are friendly. The breakfast was plentiful but don't expect amazing quality. But it's perfectly adequate. There is room service but it's pricey. We didn't order so I can't say if it's good. Swimming pool was clean and never crowded. Shower pressure was lacking but shower amenities are nice. Overall the experience was nice and our whole family gives this a 7 out of 10... we would have given a 9 out of 10 if we had two rooms with two queen beds in each room as the only real complaint we have was the comfort of the beds and sofabeds.

The staff at the front desk was excellent, friendly, and very helpful. The woman manning the breakfast was not helpful at all when asked for napkins.

I booked this hotel mainly based on price and location. I was expecting a modest room. Instead, the room was like a smallish one bedroom apartment with very nice amenities in the room. The only thing to complain about was that the in-room coffee was decaf. As far as complaints go, that's nothing, especially since there was coffee in the main area. Breakfast was much better than one would normally expect at this price point. It was not extravagant, but there were real hot and cold options. Some fresh fruit would have been appreciated, though. I liked the outdoor space which felt neighborhoodly. The next time I am in the area, I am definitely going to try to stay there again. I don't know how they can provide such a good product for the price, but I'll take it.

Was not impressed. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. HVAC was blowing directly on us and we were either hot or cold when air cut off and on. Not good sleep. We stayed 2 nights and no clean up service. We will not stay there again.

We had a big ball of hair on the dresser in the bedroom. The elevators wasn’t working when we checked out so having to carry all the bags down three flights of stairs was a nightmare.

We opted to stay here due to proximity to family members and due to a discounted rate offered by an online booking service. While the facility is clean, the property & parking lot is one that after dark numerous persons are nightly ‘hanging out’ in the parking lot &/or their cars, smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol, etc. creating a seemingly unsafe environment. Also, front desk staff was terribly unprofessional and abrupt. Even with the deep discount, we would never stay here again. This caused us to check-out a week earlier than planned, to relocate to a more prominent hotel chain, even at extreme additional expense.

Loved my room! It was clean and very up to date! Highly recommend! Breakfast was also great! Will be staying here again!

Website states 75$ per day per dog. You get to the property and they changed it to 169$ at the desk. Website still states the original pricing. That's why I booked this location and was met with rudeness and as if I should've known vs honoring they haven't updated and it's false advertising and false practice. I work in financial fraud with a large firm. This is wrong and will follow legally.

I stayed during he Christmas break and the hotel was clean, well-kept and quiet.

When we arrived the hallway of our building smelled strongly of marjauna. We reported it to the front desk and they immediately investigated. We were at the hotel for a week and I noticed that by day 3 the odor was gone. I am not sure if they removed the people or brought something in the hallway to remove the odor but it was immediately taken care of which was appreciated as it caused me to have asthma issues. Luckily the odor was contained only to the hall and didn’t seep into the rooms.

The good: very large room with wonderful layout. We had the deluxe two room suite. It had a full kitchen but other than plates and cups/glasses-not much else. No pots, 1 small bake sheet. We slept well, and it was quiet. Breakfast was free and good with hot food choices. Heat/air worked well in the room. Staff at front desk were friendly. Water pressure was good. Price was great, and area seemed safe. We would stay again..but would probably check cleanliness of room before committing.

The stay was great. The front desk employees were very nice & accomodating to our request. The only issue is that there was a bad smell coming from the restrooms that smelled like sewage. The smell was faint but potent. Luckily we were only staying one night. I would stay again, but not in the same room.

Customer service was horrible. They sent 3 men to do maintenance with 2 females in room. After they seemed finished we asked them to leave, we needed to use restroom. They got angry and called police to have us removed. They lied to police and said we were rude to maintenance. I had prepaid for 2 nights, and they only refunded one because it was 1pm. That was there fault for calling police. We would have been out of there by noon, cause we were scared. Horrible hotel. Manager is never there as I asked to talk to her several times. Don't stay there, especially if you are single females.

The hotel would be great for family stays as the rooms are big. We had the 2-room suits and both have bathrooms. However, the overall experience is not amazing. When we arrived at the hotel at around 12pm , the room is not ready. We returned at 1:30pm and the room was still not ready. Although we understand the check in time is 2pm, but usually the rooms are ready earlier than the said time. Secondly, there are a lot reviews about the great breakfast, however, we don't think the breakfast is great at all. The selection is very small and bare minimal. Thirdly, one of our bedroom is next to the other room, and the guests in the other room were very noise and partied all nights for two consecutive nights, yet nobody said anything. I am a bit disappointed with my stay this time.
