What I did like about the stay was the location and how easy the hotel was to find, especially after a very long drive. The breakfast was also good and definitely appreciated before getting back on the road. Staff was pleasant and the overall stay itself was comfortable. Overall the hotel itself was fine, but the parking process after a long day of travel was extremely frustrating. After driving 12 hours and arriving late at night, the last thing I wanted to do was stand there scanning a QR code and entering all of my information online just to park. It honestly made check-in feel more stressful than welcoming. I also don’t understand why parking wouldn’t simply be included with the room or at the very least charged directly to the room during check in. Having to deal with a separate QR code system after such a long drive felt unnecessary and inconvenient. The whole process was more of a headache than it needed to be.

I booked and paid for a room with two queen beds, but when I arrived, I got a room with one king bed for five people. The hotel wouldn’t do anything for me. They refused to refund my money, so I could get another hotel room. The pool was ice cold of course it was memorial day weekend, but it’s an indoor pool. The staff upon check-in lied to me and told me they haven’t had any rooms with two double beds in them for over a month. All in all I slept on the floor and, was not at all impressed as a matter fact I will never go back there again. And I have children that live close by.

Very good

I like the room and area and that a maid brought me new sheets and pillowcases etc but she just handed them to me. She should have come into the room and made the bed herself since that’s her job.

Very clean and efficient.

Room was clean, but hated that I had to pay for parking.
- 1/5
Breakfast quality was terrible. We had no hot water and when we called down no one responded. At checkout I asked and was told that the guy in charge wouldn’t be in until Monday and there wasn’t anything she could do. We were charged for parking and that wasn’t on the website. Lastly the ice makers on 1, 2, and weren’t working. Horrible experience.
- 1/5
There was hair in the shower. You have to scan a qr code that has issues to pay for parking however there are almost no parking spots available. Checkout is at 11 and I was running about 5 minutes behind and was in the process of packing so that I could leave. Housekeeping started knocking and kept knocking until I got to the door ever when I said one second I’m coming. She was rude however I understand she might have had a tight schedule it just delayed me more instead of her just saying please check out asap or something she’s wanting to have a convo and stare at me. Won’t be back.

Very nice hotel clean room. Good breakfast, but I don’t like that they charge for parking.

Angel was very helpful, as were other staff. The room was very clean and breakfast was wonderful. Unfortunately, our room faced the highway which made it a noisy night. I also don’t understand why we have to pay for parking…..

I was horrified that this hotel charges $10 for parking. It is literally a motel next to I-95 with truck noise! I understand that this was a corporate decision, very disappointing. That said, the hotel staff as very kind and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

Everything was really good until we got up in the morning to take our showers! The shower was terrible, we had but a trickle come out, not merely enough to shower with. My husband went down to complain and he was told that they can do nothing but open up another room for us to take showers! They could only point us to Hotel.com since this is who we booked through. At this point we were already dressed and to us it would only be an inconvenience, as we were dressed to leave at this point. I did purchase insurance for us when we booked and couldn’t even get through to file a claim because the app would not let us past putting in my number! This is not good business. You should step up to the plate and handle this matter as your website describes when purchasing insurance for instances as this. I do hope you do.

I had a truly disappointing experience during my recent stay. There were ants around the head of the bed and the side table, so I requested service. However, the staff only sprayed insecticide once or twice and left. During that time, I also noticed that there were only two tissues left in the box, arranged neatly to look full, but there were no extra tissues provided. That felt misleading and unprofessional. At breakfast, another issue occurred. While my child was making a waffle and added a bit of chocolate, a staff member told her that it could damage the machine. My child apologized and said she wouldn’t do it, but the staff member continued repeating that it was “okay this time, but don’t do it again,” bringing it up multiple times, which made the situation uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the same staff member was chatting casually with other guests. When I noticed the milk was empty, I asked her for more. She said “okay,” but then just stood there looking at me without taking any action. Even when another guest pointed out that I seemed to need assistance, she continued chatting and did not bring the milk. When I expressed my frustration to my husband, the staff member asked my child if I was talking about her—but still made no effort to resolve the situation. Additionally, the towels had yellow stains, and the bathroom lights were flickering. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I have had, and I am very disappointed with the level of service and cleanliness.

Thank you everyone to help us. Thank you

All good
- 5/5
The breakfast exceeded my expectations, with a good variety of options and everything fresh. It’s definitely a big plus for the hotel. The rooms were very clean, well organized, and completely smoke-free, which made my stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with great service.
- 4/5
didnt eat there
- 3/5
My room smelled like pot smoke. The shower took 10 minutes to even start flowing warm water. Ironing board was broken, but I managed with it. Overall seem outdated.
- 4/5
The stay was great. There was only two issues. The pool water was very cold, the pool should be heated. The other issue was that the rooms get clean every two days so after our first night we assumed it would not be cleaned. Well they came in and cleaned when we were out, not a big deal there was nothing out that we would not them to see but if it is every two days insure you follow that schedule.
- 3/5
Shower was cold
- 5/5
The front desk associate who checked us in on Friday evening was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She was attentive to our needs and provided great recommendations for local food options that delivered directly to the hotel, which made our stay even more convenient. Both of our stays have coincided with large groups of children, cheerleaders during our first visit and both cheer and soccer teams this time. Despite the busy and energetic environment, the staff remained professional, patient, and consistently friendly. Their ability to maintain such a welcoming atmosphere truly stood out.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent, great flavor and appropriate temperature. The staff was continuously cleaning and replenishing all items. Several juices available, variety of coffees and hot water for tea and hot cocoa. Plenty of parking and handicap spaces. It was right off I-95 S. Super convenient for us and also pet friendly ❣️❣️
- 5/5
Clean room, stuff great, breakfast really good too
- 4/5
Room was not clean properly shower door handle broken
- 5/5
Room was very clean, good location next to highway minutes from restaurants, shopping.
- 1/5
They couldn't figure out how to key our room key. You can't check in an hour early without a charge. Was rude at front desk. Asked what to do around hotel was given all BARS with my 17 yo daughter with me. Left waiting at front desk for over 20 minutes while the tried to key room. The room door wouldnt lock. The door wasnt straight so didnt close right. Only 1 room key actually worked. No milk at breakfast.
- 5/5
Jayla was great!
- 3/5
Room 409 had terrible road noise. Slept terrible due to this room placement.
- 2/5
When we checked in we were told because of fire hazard they couldn’t put a roll away bed in the room. The solution was another room that we would pay for We said no We just made it work the best we could The hotel was booked because of the indoor pool. No heat the water was too cold to be in The staff I think could have handled the pool situation better it broke yesterday which have been Feb 5th Just poor quality for a Hampton inn very dissatisfied The reservation should not have been allowed if it was a fire hazard.
- 4/5
Great service and staff!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and location convenient. Staff was helpful.
- 1/5
Fire alarm malfunctioned three times during the night causing evacuations. Hotel staff was not responsive regarding solving the issue, and handling customer frustrations.
- 4/5
Room was clean and the staff was courteous. The back section of the hotel where I was staying was noisy due to the highway traffic.
- 3/5
When I arrived to my room after a 15-hour drive the bathroom floor was covered in filthy towels , the shower stall had dirty boot prints throughout, and the garbage can was on the counter containing plumbing fixtures. The front desk staff was very helpful and immediately moved me to a new room without hesitation. But, since you asked how my check in experience was, the answer is “not great”.
- 4/5
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly
- 4/5
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. Te mattress and the chaise condition were tired and in need of replacement. I mentioned this to the manager and she said they were anticipating a refresh soon.
- 3/5
Bedside lamp flickering on and off, which we called about. Eventually went to lobby and asked for a lightbulb. Water in shower.was tepid. No food or beverages in any of the vending machines. Breakfast was free but horrible. Disappointing because we’ve stayed at Hampton Inn’s which have been very nice.
- 4/5
The only comment we have is the shower not working properly half on the faucet & half on the shower heads Breakfast was excellent abundant water supply desk staff are very helpful except 1 when we stopped by to adked if theres a possibility of checking in early this was on January 3,around 11:00 am that staff was not nice very abrupt & dont even do eye contact when i was asking her question
- 2/5
Carpet wasn’t clean so I believe the cleaning lady did not clean the room before my stay Other than that the staff was great!!! Very friendly and helpful people :)
- 4/5
The room was clean. The staff were considerate
- 1/5
Staff were friendly. The room is terrible. Smelled of old smoking room, dirty, old bed and bedding. Right along highway & you will know it. You hear every vehicle or truck on the road. If you plan on sleeping checkin elsewhere as you will not be able to sleep at all. Stay away!!!
- 1/5
there was two old women trying to check in, there was no support for them to carry their luggage to the room. I only did it. Breakfast was awful, when we asked for milk, the reply was just "NO milk". no courteous tone at all Not worth for 110$ plus.
- 4/5
Lady at Breakfast place was very helpful. Also at checking last night
- 2/5
our room on the 4th floor looked very dated and had an appearance of being dirty. The bathroom had someone else's hair on the floor and the tub looked unlclean to where we decided to wait to shower. As soon as you step out of the elevator, it's freezing and the walls and carpet are very wornto shabby. The same for the room's walls, carpet and fixtures. Coming from a fairly reasonable lobby, the room was a let down.
- 2/5
Ran out of toilet paper, towels multiple Times and had to take out our own garbage.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Hotel was noisy
- 2/5
We were without water for 2 days during our 4 day stay!! We were told we'd be issued a credit but haven't seen that yet! We've stayed here before & all was well, this time it was horrible not having water and having to go to work everyday.
- 5/5
Had requested joining rooms when I booked, but we didn’t get them. Not a deal breaker. We had a great time. Easy check in/out. Yummy breakfast.
- 1/5
Way over priced for a basic room with a rude manager.
- 1/5
Our room did not have hot water, and the hotel did not compensate.
- 3/5
Property across from factory..Not easily accessible to dining..entertainment...Lots of noise at night from.other rooms.
- 1/5
Water was off for over 13 hours and when talked to them they didn’t offer any options or solutions and they blamed other outside workers ; and not even offered any discount or some refund for this mess where I had to be late to my meetings and couldn’t shave or shower or anything Most employees have an attitude except couple ones Noisy inside and outside I will never stay at this hotel again
- 4/5
Our room was clean, staff at desk could have been friendlier, breakfast was okay but food was not hot. We did not use the gym or pool. The bed was very comfortable and our room was spacious.
- 3/5
Definitely was still training but no enthusiasm at all forgot to ask for my ID the only words from him were insert your credit card And didn’t tell me anything else Now luckily I have stayed there before and I know the process and where things are Didn’t say have a nice stay or tell me what time breakfast was or anything! I had to ask for waters as a Hilton honors member just expected more I hope he gets better!
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and very easy to locate off the main Highway. We needed a handicap accessible room and the room was plenty large and hey Roland shower. The breakfast was very good and the beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff- very comfortable room
- 5/5
Very good good breakfast
- 3/5
First room had a bed bug. Second room wasn’t clean and seemed like it may have also been infested at some point. Third room seemed fine. The beds were comfortable. Small fitness room without working AC. I asked about it in the morning and it was still 80 degrees and stifling by evening. I wouldn’t stay here again
- 5/5
We got to the establishment at 1:30am after a long drive. We were treated well by the front desk and appreciated her help.
- 5/5
Convenient location. B

This hotel was just fine for a one night stay with our pet. The front desk staff could be friendlier, they didn’t seem happy and we received grunted responses to questions. The breakfast area staff was very friendly. The room was clean and orderly.

My first room toilet base began to leak a lot once we started using it. When I reported it to the staff due to it begin late evening, she immediately gave us a new room. The second room indeed meet all our needs. This was our second stay at this property, and we feel comfortable using it again.

- 5/5
Nice quiet place and dog friendly
- 3/5
No on-site vending machines,

The hotel property was located in a convenient area off of I-95, however there was not much in terms of restaurants or shops very close. Also was advertised as close to the airport but was still a 20+ minute drive away. Facility was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Overall a very good property. Parking lot is very small. The is an additional parking area but there were 3-4 people living out of their cars parked in that area. Also the property has 2 elevators but only one working. Working elevator was very slow. Employees were great, bed was comfortable and free hot brwakfast was right on time.
- 5/5
Gas and Starbucks
- 4/5
There were a couple of lights out in the parking lot. This was concerning for safety reasons. Staff was great. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hallway by the elevator was not clean.
- 5/5
Not bad for a quick stay
- 2/5
This property is outdated and needs to be renovated. And the walls are super thin to the point where I could hear the couple next to me having sexy time at 6am. I heard way more than I wanted to hear. They did get quiet after I banged on the wall, but I should never heard anything in the first place
- 2/5
Fire alarm set off at 130am. Cigarette butts everywhere outside and they are pet friendly. The room was not very clean whatsoever.
- 1/5
the refrigerator did not work ,vent in the bathroom did not work. The celling leaking rain water, only one trash can in the whole room I'm going to stop there never will i stay there again

Staff were kind and helpful
- 3/5
Breakfast was mediocre, most Hampton Inns have a better variety. Unsure why the kitchen/breakfast staff had business cards on tables looking for tips; when you serve yourself what are we supposed to tip for?
- 3/5
Hotel was awesome disappointed in expedia pricing
- 5/5
Stayed here for a field hockey tournament my daughter was in and it was a really nice hotel. They had 2 waffle choices each morning which we enjoyed before heading out for the day. My daughter was tired from playing so she never went into the pool.
- 5/5
This location was also selected because it was very close to the interstate, knowing only the interstate would be decently cleared at the height of the snowstorm (when my shift ended at work). I called ahead for a late check in and wanted to make sure my room was saved for me as I wouldn’t arrive until between midnight and one a.m. Erica helped me on the phone and said she would have it all taken care of- when I arrived shortly after 1 am, surely the Front Desk Receptionist saw Erica’s notes and that everything was ready for me. The Front Desk Receptionist was very nice and welcoming and I wish I had gotten her name. (Forgive me!) She was very empathetic about the weather and late night shift at my job. My room was immaculate and I rested worry-free knowing how close I was to work for my next shift. My normal commute is an hour and twenty minutes from a very rural area- it brought great peace of mind to me and my family that I could stay 15 minutes away in a safe area during inclement weather for work. There are several gas stations on this exit and a Starbucks and Subway are direct neighbors beside this Hampton Inn (parking lots connect). Thank you all!
- 5/5
Very nice place. Will visit again.
- 2/5
An aging Hampton Inn, dirty and worn down. Was nearly empty still they put us up in the one room with the window blocked by part of the building. Staff seemed unhappy. Beds were all bent out of shape. Why such good reviews on Expedia? This place is terrible.

Short but pleasant stay.

I was traveling from South Carolina to South Jersey for a funeral. I decided to stop in Richmond, VA, since it was halfway. It was VERY close to 95 and I thought it would be a good place to stay. Well….. I was wrong. On my stay going to NJ, I was on the 4th floor and only one elevator was working and the other was so slow, even the door was not opening properly and it made me nervous. Then there were people yelling in the hallways at 1:00 am. Doors were slamming. Not good ! In the morning I woke to the sounds of tractor trailers revving up and down the street. On my return trip 3 days later it was worse. The elevator was still not fixed and there was so much noise in the hallway I could barely sleep. Then the noise from the road was so much louder because I was in the second floor. Also, there are no restaurants close by except for a Subway and Starbucks. My advice… find something further from 95 or bring some serious ear plugs!

Everything clean and quiet, safe

We arrived at 10:41pm. No one was behind the counter or within view. We called out several times to find someone to get us checked in. My wife and I kept looking and calling out to find some help. We saw a sign on the wall behind the counter that read, "Manager on Duty, Maisha Henry". My wife went to the door of the office and knocked while calling out once again to find help. At exactly 10:46 a woman appeared from the hallway. She was angry and immediately began addressing my wife sayng, "No one is allowed behind the counter!" We both attempted to explain that we were just trying to get help checking in. She kept insisting no one can ever go behind the counter!! This pattern repeated a few times and the woman insisted she had not been away for more than 2 minutes. Once again she kept insisting no one is ever petmitted behind the counter! My wife and I were aware of the time because we discussed our arrival as we walked in the door. Then when the angry woman who identified herself as Erica insisted she was never gone even 2 minutes, we noted the time of 10:46pm. 'Erica' then said she would never check us in , but we could wait for the shift to change of she would give us a refund. She was obviously angry and wanted us gone, so we left and went to the Best Western across the street.

Upon arriving a bit later in the evening, we checked in. The registration was easy and quick (since we did have a reservation). The desk attendant was sitting in the common area with another individual, watching a soccer game. I drove around the building 3 times looking for a parking spot. There were none, so I went back in and asked where to park. He told me to park way behind the starbucks building, in which I said no. He then told me to park in the handicap spot which I refused to do. I asked for my money back, which he then said he would move his car and let me park there. If it were not so late in the evening, I would have demanded my money back. We ended up staying, but we will not stay in Richmond again. There are clearly not enough parking spaces to accommodate all of the guests.
- 4/5
The only thing I didn’t like is you had to ask to get your room cleaned.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and efficient, Erica was outstanding.
- 5/5
Highly recommended!
- 3/5
The checkin process was very long as the front desk person having computer issues. And bathroom was leaking on the morning of checkout. Hotel is next to a Starbucks if u love ur coffee. Breakfast was pretty good with eggs, oatmeal, sausage and breads.

Front desk was friendly & helpful.

Nicolas checked us in with no issue, fast, and efficiently. Everything was effortless including him ensuring whether or not I was a reward member or not, which I wasn't sure, but I was, which was a plus! The room was clean! The pool and exercise rooms were open and ready to be used and the breakfast was killer in the best way!!!! Only place I'll stay from now on!

room was not cleaned well. carpet was not cleaned and had dust and pet dander. dust was everywhere.

We got in about midnight. She barely made eye contact. When i tapped my credit card for incidentals, she said it didn’t go through. That was odd to me but she made me do it several times, all declined by the machine. She said i couldn’t check in. Thankfully my travel companion used her card for the incidentals and it worked. When i got to the room and checked up on my CC issue, i confirmed my CC was well within limits and not comprised in any way. When i went back to reception to show her my card was fine and the room charge was already on it, she became extremely defensive , loud and argumentative vs helpful. Why? I was not accusing her of anything. I was simply showing her the charges on my cc. I assume this woman would have refused to check us in. I repeat, my CC was fine. I have to anticipate a problem with the CC machine. At this point it is 1 am and i am exhausted. The last thing i needed to deal with was this person’s attitude. I went back to my room frustrated and wound up. It took a long time fall asleep. We had to be up early to travel again so i did not get the rest i needed. I confirmed in the morning with reception that my CC was fine. The woman working in the morning was pleasant and smiling and confirmed everything was fine.

From the moment we entered the lobby, we felt like special guests. The Front Desk Representative was super friendly and referred to our top floor room as the presidential suite reserved for honors members. She just made us feel special. The room was quite comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was a bonus and just what we needed to continue our journey ahead.

No area to walk a dog

We were traveling with our dog and selected this hotel because the website says “pet friendly”. it is for an additional $75 fee. The desk told us it is stated on the site. Well, we finally did find it buried in the text of the website. We are aware that many hotels charge a fee, but it is always stated clearly upfront on the website. And $75 is a bit stiff for a pet fee. The only other small problem is they only have 2 large luggage racks which apparently are locked up at night., so we had to make multiple trips with a small one because the large ones were never available. So if you’re not traveling with a pet & you don’t have a lot of luggage, it’s a good stopover.

We checked in Friday at 8:00 PM and the 2 young ladies at the front desk made us feel so welcome. It was a pleasure staying here. Thank You

The hotel was nice and quiet. It was very convenient right off of 95. I enjoyed how they would check in each day through text making sure everything was good.

The place is a dump. I’d never stay there again. The only bright thing about the place is the people you have working are all very kind and happy.

The staff was great but the room itself was old and tired. We are used to much nicer from Hamptons.

The staff was pleasant . the facilities were somewhat "worn" and dated Dated: the carpeting was funky. Alot of road noise from I95 ( my bad decision to stay close to the highway for a quick getaway) Nothing particularly good or bad... I expected more from a Hilton affiliated property.

When I arrived the front desk clerk acted like she was doing me a favor by checking me in. She asked for my credit card and I told her I already paid for the room when I booked w/Hotels.com. She told me the card was needed and didn't properly explain that it was to hold $100 for damages/incidentals. An argument ensued and another staff person came out of a back room to assist. It was nearly midnight and I was not in the mood for a confrontation after driving 8 hrs that day. Then when I went to the room, the bathroom had been 1/2 cleaned - the shower/tub had not been cleaned and there were used washcloths in the bathtub. I returned to the front desk and the same clerk assisted me in changing the room. She was a bit more pleasant but not much. The hotel should provide more training for her in how to treat guests.
