The room was clean, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. One of the biggest positives was the pricing. The rate was very reasonable, and I appreciated the value for the money. The main difference I noticed compared to past Red Roof stays was the room fragrance. It’s been a few years since I’ve stayed at a Red Roof Inn and primarily they have been in Virginia Beach, but I don’t remember those rooms having the same scent. To be clear, it was not a bad, dirty, or musty smell, and the room appeared clean. It seemed more like a cleaning product or air freshener that just wasn’t particularly appealing to me. The bed was okay and provided a decent night’s sleep, but the A/C making a distinct noise kept waking me up, but I'm a light sleeper. I would likely stay here again for a quick overnight stop because of the excellent pricing and great staff. However, it probably wouldn’t be my top choice for a full-day or multi-night stay. Overall, it was a clean, affordable hotel with friendly service and good value for the price.

Convenient location They advertise breakfast on the property, but nothing was available. They don’t serve breakfast. The hotel was Dirty. I ended up cleaning it myself. There were multiple stains all over the sheets and bedspreads. The tiles were not clean either. I ended up going to buy my own at the store.

Very sketchy environment outside, property says 100% smoke free and several people were seen outside smoking cigarettes and weed smell coming from rooms in passing. Bedding had cigarette holes burnt into them and overall the inside was very poorly done.

When we called the front desk to let them know we weren't going to be checking in, we called twice then on the third time someone picked up. Then while we were talking the receptionist hung up on us. Either way we were out $100.

We were driving from Georgia to Massachusetts and needed a place to rest for the night. This was the most affordable option in the area, which is why we chose it. However, upon arrival, we didn’t feel comfortable with the location—it didn’t seem like the safest environment, especially since we were traveling with two children and a dog. Ultimately, we decided not to check in and continued driving through the night for peace of mind. It may be an acceptable option for adult travelers, but families with kids may want to use caution when considering this location. Clean and comfortable for a short stay (3 nights), Subway right next door and McDonald’s/convenience store directly across the street, did a great job cleaning the room every day. Will definitely stay again! Thanks!

ther was a problem with internet so I moved after unpacking in the first room only to find the internet was just as bad in the second. It would run slowly and then shut off completely

bed was comfortable The room was ok, but needed some maintenance. No heat and we were chilly. We did not complain because it was difficult understanding the front desk person. We set the heat, but the heater did not come one. Will not stay there again.

Location & price Despite the room being clean. There were couple of roaches in the room. Loud music playing and smokers outside.

Manager sitting behind 1" thick Lexan. Me with a security latch hanging by one short screw. Black mold on the bathtub, toilet, ceiling. Asbestos ceiling finish crumbling over the bed. Water damaged walls, plaster bulging and broken. "Mattress? omg!!!"

Room was clean, no issues. Property was a bit older. No complaints for the price.

I liked the Early check in , because I came in long distance. I also like how clean the room was.

Hubby needed a hotel for an appointment at the VA hospital and, outside of a few small computer related issues, he enjoyed his stay. We will be back in a few weeks for his surgery.

Noisy neighbors. Bar flies returning at 3 am arguing and setting off their yapping dog until 4 am. Went at it again at 6 am, loud, profane argument. Dog barking the whole time. No restaurants nearby except for a Subway.

Great check in! Parking right outside my door, very clean and comfortable room. Older so appreciated the 1st floor accommodations. We’ve been staying at Red Roof inns for years their hotels have been redone and love the LVP clean flooring!

Cockroaches in the walls! I refused to stay there with my family and the cockroaches, but they have yet to refund me.

The front desk was friendly Trash cans were all full. Garbage everywhere. Used drug syringes on the ground everywhere. Hair in bed and poor building conditions. I stayed at the "motel" for maybe an hour and was very uncomfortable so i left. I was double charged for the room. Not happy at all. The staff said take it up with booking.com and it was not their problem. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The Lady I'm the office was rude she slung my if in the tray at the window she was on her personal cell phone while handling my booking as I'm speaking to her she was speaking to a male figure on her personal cell phone on speaker. This was the worse experience ever

This was a great stay, except the cigarette smell. The room was clean, the price was right, the propert was secure. I know Phillip Morris is right down the road, but the room just smelled. They tried to clean it out, i think, but it doesn't work. They didn't hold a credit card for incidentals. Maybe they should. Otherwise, good place.

Parking was easy and the room was clean. However there was some damage to the bathrooms and a pervasive smoke smell. They did have cameras on all areas of the grounds. And our cars full of stuff were untampered with.

Room was old and sheets had stains. Could barely sleep was a lot of loud conversations. Pretty much what I expected for the price. Luckily only needed it for the one night

The room didn't have a working microwave I called the front desk no answer I went to the front desk the lady told me they didn't have one to replace it with.

The lady at the front counter was polite and efficient. The room smelled like an ashtray and had roaches. I was really disappointed!

Room was dirty, linen was dirty, bed spread was stained. Room smelled like excessive lysol over cigarette smoke. After consideration, I decided to check out and not use the room! So my plan to stay in the area after a long day and get a good nights sleep never happened. I left and continued my drive tired!

We arrived after a long drive to find dirty bedding. When given the option to use two other rooms they were even dirtier. I could not stay in such a health hazard and left and was not given a refund. I plan to take this to social media if I don’t get some resolve.

This was the most poorly kept hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The power outlets aren’t properly mounted to the wall and are a fire hazard. The whole room and especially the AC unit had years of dust and grime caked to it. There were stains on the sheets, and I was genuinely concerned for the safety of my family.

I came down there for my aunt funeral and I’m a woman who was by myself. There was strange men knocking on hotel door late a night. Made me scared and uneasy did not sleep all night for fear of something getting in my room. Was too scared to take a shower last night because of this. Other than that the staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

The sheets appeared clean and the king bed was reasonably comfortable. As we travel with our small dog and needed a place for 1 night while heading home it was just OK. I don't think we will be returning to the area but if we do I believe I would find other accommodations.

Went to check in and multiple people were screaming at the desk clerk wanting refunds, I felt bad for the poor guy, it's not his fault he couldn't do anything about it since it was midnight. We needes a place to stop after a long drive it was rated a 7.0 i wasnt expecting anything fancy at all. However the entire room smellee like weed. I could have gotten past that but our pillowcases and sheets smelled too. So everytime i woke up its all i smelled. We werent there lobg but we stayed an even ahorter amount of time.

We asked for a non smoking room and when we got there it smelled like cigarettes. I had neck pains and I asked for an extra pillow and they said they didn't have any extras. Not worth it, cost me way too much.

My stay was all bad but the cleaning lady went in and cleaned my room before checkout time and I was still on the premises

The staff was courteous and very helpful with any questions. Response from staff when I had an issue was quick and immediate. Affordable. Cons: The room was not that clean. Cigarette smoke odor was potent in both rooms. The smell is still stuck on my clothes two days later. Beddings had visible stains on them. The area around the toilet was leaking so anytime you stepped into the bathroom, water would come up between the seams in the flooring. Yes, that’s right, toilet water coming up from the floors. I let them know and they promptly switched my room, no extra charge. The new room had no leak, but it was just as run-down. There were numerous loud fights going on outside and in some of the rooms during the day and through the night.

Please fumigate regularly to prevent critters.

I like that the property is convenient because it's right there by the highway I normally come here and stay but this was the first room that I received that was actually very cold even with the heat on which made it kind of uncomfortable there was no ice and water temps were down

Front deak staff was assertive but not rude. Housekeeping was a nuisance knocking on the door before actual check-out and lingered after acknowledging I was aware of the time and would be leaving without overstaying.

The room was not the Superior Room like we booked and paid for. It wasn't a king. No towels or anything to dry off with or shower with. No microwave, no fridge,no coffee pot and the room smelled like heavy smoke. There was drug paraphernalia in the room. Called front desk right away and the guy waas extremely rude and didn't offer to make anything right. The heat didn't work and we we're in a sever snow storm .Phone also did not work. The floors were black and disgusting. Black mold all in the bathrooms. Tried again this morning upon checkout to speak with the front desk lady and she was extremely rude and aggressive and i felt very threatened we have been staying with Red Roof Inn for years because the rooms,customer service and just all around first class amazing treatment with our stay but after this visit I don't think my husband and I will be staying at any of your establishments after the way we've been treated and with what we had to sleep in last night after driving over ten hours.I also have plenty of pictures of the condition the room was in and we will be reaching out to corporate about this matter. Dicey neighbourhood.

Asking for 3rd floor room, they were able to provide but the room was filled with bugs something bit me throughout the night in my face and my arms my legs and my back..... One thing about hotels in DC that all owned by foreigners and they don't care how they treat people with the conditions of their rooms most of the time when they come over from a different country they're trying to spread the disease kill people I think that this was the case luckily I was able to get to the ER and I was cleared if any illnesses but it did show that this place has an infestation

With the people hanging out outside the rooms, I did not feel safe leaving my vehicle or leaving my room.
