Courtyard by Marriott Riverside UCR/Moreno Valley Area

Currently the hotel is undergoing renovations and that should have been told about them. The front desk staff was condescending and not very helpful. The property currently does not meet the minimum I expect from Marriott Courtyard!

We stayed one night. Put the AC down to the lowest temp, it didn't cool well. This is an older Marriott, might be time for update. But aside from AC, everything was sufficient.

The bed was comfortable and the room was well-maintained. Dianne and Don in the bistro, along with the rest of the staff, were wonderfully friendly. The heated pool is a nice bonus too.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ The bathroom fixtures weren’t the newest, but everything worked fine. The walls were thin.

When we got to our room after a long drive my kids were sleeping and we had unpacked. When we went to get I to bed out sheets were dirty. We called downstairs to get new sheets and they said housekeeping leaves at 5 and they cannot get me sheets. The only solution they had was that I pack all my belongings and go get a new room. This is so unacceptable I will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was nice. The music in the lobby was extremely loud. We could hear it through the door. We went to eat breakfast and they were out of food. The area is also a little rough.

Not a great place to stay other than its close to the university. The staff has no smile on their face. No free breakfast and $18 charge for parking when there is free parking available anytime. The common area carpet smells. The sofa bed is cheap quality and gave me back ache in one night. Won't stay here again.

I booked a bigger room with two double rooms and I was placed in a smaller room with one king bed and the sink outside our the bathroom, in the hallway. The pictures are deceiving. They changed the room without informing me. The front desk was rude when I said the reason I booked and paid for two double beds is my husband had sleep apnea and his Cpap machine takes spare, she was rude and disrespectful. Wouldn’t even hear me out and proceeded to say I was yelling at her. Valentina needs to be counseled.

Second, the parking cost $18 even though the hotel is not downtown or in a crowded area whatsoever. It is just a money grab to charge for parking in an area like this. Third, I reserved a king-sized bed and yet got two double beds. Just a bad experience overall.

It was a stone groove my man! Everything was in the fast lane, the staff was super groodalicious, the water was hot the facility was squeaky clean, the coffee was fresh, and the room was spotless. BUT the bed was uncomfortable and made for two nights of no sleep. We get the hotel room to sleep in and unfortunately we just were not able to do it. Thank you for great and friendly experience with the staff though, and having a clean pad for us to relax in though.

Check in was very easy. Every employee we saw acknowledged us and was friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side but was clean. I did not hear hallway traffic or next door. However, we could hear sirens, cars outside, and train whistles. We would stay there again.

Hotel was good. Clean room and staff was nice! Only downside was that my credit card was compromised and the hotel was the only location that I used the card at. They said their system was down so they made a copy of my card front and back. Either someone at the hotel stole my info or they did not shred my information properly.

The place gave me the ick as soon as I walked in and was only reinforced with the run down and dirty condition of the hallways. The room was clean but I couldn’t get past my initial visceral reaction. I stayed one night and canceled the rest of my trip. The staff handled my request to cancel with professionalism.

Our tv kept cutting in and out. It didn't seem the cleanest and the area was a little sketchy one direction. Once you headed the other direction it got better.

Just wish the parking was free and maybe a continental breakfast for the price we paid, would be nice. The room itself was spacious, clean, a/c worked great and in a nice location, not right next to the bed like other hotels, which makes the person next to the a/c freezing and the other overheated. This ac location was perfect. Enjoyed our stay here, would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

When they did clean the room, they did a poor job and didnt even clean the bathroom!

Excellent service. I had a last minute to cancel one of two reservations I’ve made. The staff at the front desk immediately provided me with easy instructions on how to cancel the reservation, obtain a late-cancellation fee waiver. This quality of service is what’s keeps me coming back!

We booked 2 rooms for a stay of a week. Before arriving I got an email saying check in will be at 3:00pm. Upon arriving the front desk told us they had no rooms available, that the room will be available in 30min- 1 hour. We waited and after an hour of waiting the front desk still said that there was no rooms available. They said we could leave and they would call us. We left frustrated at the end of the day they canceled our reservation and we found somewhere else to stay.

When we tried to check at 630lm was told they had norms while the other girl was checking in other guests. I was asked for a phone number for them to call me to check when room was ready. I left went to dinner and never got a called around 830 I called to ask of broom was ready and they finally said your room is ready. Worst customer service ever!!

Bed was so uncomfortable. Did not get any sleep because of the bed.

When I came on the 23rd, there was no charge for the parking but when I came back on the 29th, they charged me $18 for parking. I don’t like the inconsistency and that inconsistency will probably have a staying somewhere else on weekends from now on. I actually thought we found a great place but I don’t need to be going through my bank account looking for random minor charges

Clean comfortable rooms

The property location was convenient for our needs. Location, price, and Marriott's reputation was the reason I booked the property. The people were great. Everyone we encountered from the front desk to security,.were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was finding out there was an $18 daily charge for parking. I don't know if I missed it on the booking site or what, but I would like to have known ahead of time so I could have considered that cost in my decision making.

Food at the bar was surprisingly good. The bed is super comfy.

Our stay at the Courtyard Riverside was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We would recommend the Courtyard.

This is the 2nd time I've stopped here in less than a year, and both times the staff have been incredible! They are so helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble!

This is the worse Marriott property where I have ever been. Not so clean. But the supervisors of the property are very despotic and unkind with the customers. For sure I will never return to this place.

Quick stay after long day of travel. Slept very well so we were very pleased.

My childhood neighborhood! Close to downtown with freeway access. Some homeless residents but overall safe.

Good hotel, but expect to pay extra for parking and breakfast. Also no coffee or water in lobby. Some in room, but not extra in lobby as in other less know hotel. Over all a good place to stay. Elevator very busy, especially when cleaning crew is moving about.

It’s just the bed bugs

Staff were kind and helpful. Pillows smelled like Febreeze garbage bags. Rooms clean but in bad shape (old, damaged and stained furniture). Loud A/C. Sink outside bathroom. Poor lighting. For $300+, definitely not worth it.

Service and parking throughout the 9 day stay was excellent. Night security patrolled the parking lot every night. The room was adequate for a single occupant with plenty of storage and closet space. Valentina helped me with multiple special requests. The only areas with opportunity for improvement were; only executive suites had safes and the television was dated and latent responding to the remote.

The sink and tub drains were both clogged from day one. The maintenance crew didn’t fix the issue, because it was still clogged after a supposed resolution. The room didn’t feel very clean at all. They charge for every extra thing, even to park your car.

We chose this hotel due to its convenient location near UCR and our positive expectations of the Marriott brand. Unfortunately, the shower tub did not drain properly, resulting in water pooling during use. This issue caused significant inconvenience during our stay.

The hotel was a disappointment. Very small counter space next to the sink, a tiny room with 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical and a few weights of minimal 15lbs is called the gym. The beds we got were too soft without much support. We were on a road trip and went through a list of hotels, some of which had lower star ratings. This was the worse among all.

The hotel was well worth it. Parking was confusing at first as far as where to go. Other than that, no complaints

The hotel ended up charging my card for the entire stay, even though the room was booked and paid for with Expedia. I spoke to 4 different people at this facility, and most of them did not have authority to correct their mistake by cancelling the charge. Definitely frustrating!

Very convenient to the highway and main road. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very nice and attentive staff.

The hotel is in city of Riverside and every store or food place is within distance. The staff were very kind and always asking if we needed anything. The bistro bar that is located inside the hotel offered coffee and breakfast options. If you wanted they offered dinner options starting around 5pm. My family and I only did breakfast twice. We were content with the food and the staff that works in the bistro area. If we ever come back to visit Riverside again well without a doubt we will come back to this hotel. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay. We thank the staff for everything during our stay.

This property looked nothing like the pictures. I chose to book a 4 night stay here due to the glowing 10/10 reviews on the cleanliness of the hotel. We were told at check in and on the Expedia property details that there would be complimentary internet in our room. To our surprise, internet must be purchased for $10 per day which made working difficult off of our personal hotspot. The sink water had a foul odor. The toilet made a constant high pitch noise and was less than functional for the second half of our trip. The bed was very soft and old. We woke up with sore necks and backs every day. The mattress pad was ripped. The lack of quality of the bedding was very disappointing. I almost bought my own bedding. The lack of quality of this hotel does not equate with the luxury prices of parking, market, etc. the only pro was the Bistro for convenience. We won’t be staying here again. Definitely would not recommend.

The A/C in the room does not operate as intended. It was hot and stuffy in the room all night regardless of the temperature set on the A/C. Lastly, the rooms were not available on time. Multiple guests were in the lobby complaining to the staff that they had been waiting for their rooms for over two hours past the check-in time.

Very clean updated property. Excellent location as a stop on a road trip. Spacious room with both a fridge and a microwave which I love. Also love having a first floor as an option, right by the pool. Excellent staff.

I stayed at this hotel several times visiting my college student and have always noticed how nice the staff is there. Friendly, accommodating and try to meet everyone’s needs. Refreshing!

Provided coffee and tea but no complimentary waters. Room is outdated. Only provided one soap and one lotion for accommodation for 2 guests. No breakfast.

House keeping does a great job. The room was just big to be comfortable for three. I booked a room with two queens, but settled for a king and sofa sleeper. The furniture was a little tired, but everything worked.

Rooms are good, clean. Anna at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The staff we encountered were all great.

There was a lot of noise here. We had to pay for parking which we usually do not have to. The beds were uncomfortable and too soft. It was not a horrible experience, it’s just not a place I would choose to stay at again.Also, some of the staff were friendly and helpful.

A little frustrating checking in, but the room was serviceable and clean. Paying for parking was an unexpected charge.

Kind of expensive considering what you are getting but it was great staying for one night! Also, I would appreciate knowing about paying for parking ahead of time!

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It was nice, quiet and the staff was always friendly no matter what time of day. I enjoyed how close it was to everything and how convenient the shuttle stop for my event was at this hotel. The rooms are spacey and it made my stay with 3 other people super comfortable. Didn't have issues with keeping hot water which was also nice. Everytime I had an issue with my key card they would fix it right away. (Don't put your key cards next to your phones)

I like the hotel except that there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The first day when I checked in was really, really bad. I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights and it has dissipated a little bit by the 3rd day. This was my 2nd stay and I did not encounter this on my first stay. Whoever serviced the room should put in air freshener to counter the smell.

Paid 300 dollars for a room for one night. No complimentary breakfast. Paid for parking , heard a dog barking all night . It was absolutely horrible !!!! Never again!

We were initially a room that smells like a nursing home with dirty socks :( Requested room change and it was good room. Why give a dirty room to your guest? this would have been a 5 star rating
