    These rooms looked nothing like the pics on Expedia, she asked if i wanted a non smoking room i said yes when i went in the room it smelled so bad of smoke, the sheets had a big stain. The walls were dirty the door looked like someone tried to break in multiple times. It was bad i wouldn't recommend staying here.

    No side tables, no lamps except one giant light bulb on the wall directly facing the bed, only one station on the tv, the bathroom door opens directly where your legs would be to wipe yourself, only one outlet that is occupied by the mini fridge and microwave that is all the way across from the bed, and the blanket they provide is essentially a table cloth.

    Room wasn't clean. There were holes in comforter. Stains on comforter on second bed. Urine smell in bathroom and stale smoke smell. Keycard reader barely worked. Staff was rude at check in and asked for $100 deposit before even greeted. The have pictures of newly refurbished rooms on their website but they have not completed the work as the room i was in desperately needed to be remodeled and cleaned. The AC unit was very loud and not very effective. I don't recommend staying there unless you are on a budget and in desperate need of a room.

    Room was clean but tv did not work and the room had a weird smell as if it was not clean properly. Staff did not have a greeting customer service specially when we left. The person looked like he hated his job. I wouldn’t go back due to poor customer service.

    There is nothing luxurious about this place, but your most basic needs will be met. If your expectations are luxury and spotlessness, you’ll be let down, but if you’re thankful for a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in, and the ability to take a hot shower, you’ll appreciate your stay.

    Parking was good and staff was good might just be a little hard to communicate with them. Room was good as well wish there was more amenities like a hair dryer and stuff like that. Had a few inconveniences like water wasn’t working due to plumber and room card stopped working. But overall it’s an okay place to stay for a night or two.

    The room was okay I stayed in 205, the dresser was leaning so a couple drawers kept sliding open, majority of the channels did not work. The baseboards could of used some cleaning. The guy working the desk he wasnt friendly, but he wasnt mean he just seemed he didnt wanna be bothered … you get lucky if you find a parking spot once it becomes late, its way too many walkers right there but I am glad my car didnt get touched. Other than that it was a cheaper stay I would only do that if I HAVE to!

    Don't stay here! Stop in your tracks and choose another hotel especially if you're here to have surgery at Kaiser. This hotel is completely unacceptable. It's filthy the sheets were filthy the shower was disgusting. It smelled like marijuana upon entering the room. When you walk in the office there's a pungent smell in the entire building.

    It was inexpensive Management behavior was inexcusable and they were not only rude, but seemed to be hostile towards guests as well. even before checking out, I could sense that they were going to try to take my money and they in fact did attempt to keep the deposit due to claiming that the room was too messy not damaged but “dirty “ . They stated that the room had to look exactly the way it looked when checking in. I could only assume that meant making the bed with our dirty sheets and the comforter and taking out the trash as well as having no dirty towels on the floor because other than that, can’t quite see what the problem was and I’ve absolutely never been told such a thing it was $100 deposit

    Front desk agent was extremely rude and forced me out of the room and charged me $20. More to check out at 12. :00. I was very respectful with the man. However, he also looked at my guest that I had staying with me very ruthfully and I was very uncomfortable. Do not get a room here.

    Do NOT recommend. First room had dirty sheets on the bed. I asked to switch rooms and the second room had an uncleaned bathroom with mold and hair on the walls of the shower. The room also had a missing light bulb for the lamp which they said the had no extra s I asked to switch rooms again and they said they couldn’t keep switching me rooms. Even the towels “clean” and folded towels were dirty with stains and grease. The pool was also locked and they refused to open it.

    Best spot on the Mag. Clean and straggler free. Well lit for the parked car and well staffed for anyting that comes up. I stay at the Sands every week and will continue to do so.

    I never leave reviews but I was so frustrated by my experience here. Came into the room and there were roaches. Checked sheets for bed bugs and and there were stains on the sheets. Immediately went back to reception and said I was leaving. Lady at the desk was kind and offered to change my room but I said I didn’t feel comfortable staying at any room, there could be roaches in other rooms. She said there were no refunds. They trap you by making you sign a paper that says no refunds so you lose your money after only going into the room for a moment and finding it gross and infested with bugs. Bad business practice.

    I never stayed they kept my money, and I had insurance and it’s been phone hockey. They had me walking around with workers searching for basic items. I don’t work there. It was a full blown orchestration of theft and ignorance that I just don’t have patience for. As of this time I still am waiting for some compensation as I had to drive to another hotel and pay a second hotel the same night.

    During my stay, the phone in the room did not work, and the management was rude and inconsiderate. I found it dangerous to stay at this hotel because the key cards were not secure. While I was in my room, another guest accidentally opened my door with the hotel-issued card he had. He was checking in, but the hotel had given him a key card that also worked for my room. Can you imagine? I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I advise anyone considering staying at this location to do so at their own risk.

    1) paint chipping off the wall in the bathroom 2) mold in the bathroom 3) night stand lights didn’t work. Luckily we brought an extension cord and were able to plug in one of the lights. 4) no convent outlets 5) the AC unit sounded like it was going to blast off at any minute 6) floors where dirty 7) the door into the room had light coming in from outside 8) one of the bath towels had black stains on it Definitely a waste of $101 bucks. I wish I had just sucked it up and paid another $100, for a better stay. Do not stay here!!! You definitely get what you pay for.

    The property had no security gate, fence. Or wall to separate from the streets that is infested with homeless people coming and going and cops driving up and down every minute. This considered I paid for my room but wasn't told beforehand about a 100 dollar deposit which I could not provide at the moment. The clerk took one look at my tattoos and the first words spoken was rude and in disgust.

    The room smelled of smoke, the lamps by the bed did not have plugs, not all outlets worked, staff did not help when asked (said they could not get me a plastic bag for my laundry because they were eating breakfast...the bag was never delivered).     This had to been the dirtiest room I’ve ever been in. I booked 7 days and after the second day I had to go. Homeless people everywhere. Problem with that is they commit crimes to survive day to day. I find out later that the manager refuses to give me a refund for those unused days. “You have to talk to Expedia” was the excuse. I have the time to sit in a courtroom all day but most people don’t. I’ll make certain he pays 10 times that amount.

    I stayed at this motel and the owner wasn’t nice at all. The attitude was cold, unwelcoming, and made the whole stay uncomfortable. Instead of basic hospitality, I got rudeness and zero effort to make guests feel respected. This isn’t the kind of place I’d return to or recommend to anyone.

The walls are filthy with black dirt marks ! The live in tenants running around high as hell! It's a Motel that should be closed down but if you rent there kick your vehicle up I wouldn't recommend it especially health wise and safety wise also

    The amenities? A joke. The blow dryer was DOA, and the light fixture was a bug graveyard. I'm pretty sure I saw more insects than hotel staff during my stay. Honestly, I've stayed in cleaner hostels. Save your money and sanity; avoid this place like the plague.

    Clean room great staff. The only issue I have is with understanding Expedia charged me twice plus the motel charged my card 50.00 for the night ending up costing 180.74. very confused on that aspect will be Checking this out tomorrow morning

    Towels were very stained. We were greeted by a live coach roach. Drawers we dirty. Tub was stained. At 1:34 on Saturday morning they started working on the room directly above us.

    Room was smelly and the shower would not drain. We alerted the front desk who said they would send someone but no one ever came. So we weren't able to shower during our stay. Please note that there are also no provided hangara and they do not have any hangers or iron to borrow during your stay. Pretty easy location with access to the freeways and free parking though?

    Nasty nasty!!! towels had stains very smelly with penetration of cigarette and the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept on, needs lots of work and the area let’s not even go there, most definitely do NOT recommend at all !!

    Worst hotel ever. The owners were extremely rude after checking in late. Checked in late due traffic threw my spouses id on the desk. At 8am the next morning was asking us to check out because of bed bugs and insects in the room and we asked to change. Never again

    Horrible Customer service, dirty room service the floors were dirty, the ac unit in the room wasn’t working properly and the owner refused to fix the issue and he expected me to stay in the room that must of 100 degrees and wait until it cooled down outside so I could finally enjoy my stay! He expected me to stay in the hot room! I could have had a heat stroke or something! I will not tolerate this kind of treatment! I checked out soon and the manager refused to give me my money back of $83 dollars, he did give me my deposit back but not the money I paid for the room, since I didn’t stay the night I literally checked in and checked out 30 mins later I waited to see if the a/c unit would freshen up the room and it didn’t it was still the same temperature! How can you have a business and manage it so poorly … this is the second time I’ve seen this type of incident happen at the sands motel! This building needs to be shut down when management isn’t capable of maintaining a safe, secure space for people who are paying for there services

    The non smoking room smelled like smoke, there were roaches and the shower faucet shot off the wall and almost landed on my foot which made water spray everywhere besides out of the actual shower head. The lady at the front desk wasn’t mean but wasn’t friendly, she said only a couple words and literally held up a sign to ask for the deposit instead of just telling me

    The property was clean. There was no one hanging out. I felt safe. The room could have been updated. However it was clean. It’s a decent place to stay for the night for a good price. Not everyone has $150 plus deposit and deserve a decent place while traveling.

    The day before I checked out the front desk attendant said to me , my boss wants to know why you keep returning if you don’t like it here? I didn’t have an answer at that moment. He was mad and irate and very unprofessional. The reason I returned was the price , and they actually wash the sheets . The house keeping ladies were also very nice and friendly. Other than that dealing with the front desk attendant is a nightmare . He’s rude and obnoxious. Saving money sometimes is not worth it . Also the showers are unpredictable, they are either cold as ice or burning hot . I’m still waiting on my deposits too. What happened to no hidden fees ?

    I will never stay here again I felt so unsafe as a single women staying alone the door didn’t lock at all so I had to keep something on the door so I could sleep safe at night . Tv barely worked also . Tried to talk to someone but they never got back to me twice it was horrible. Never again I feel like I got catfished but with a hotel

    This motel is close to my home, and is one of the least expensive . If you can get past the rude man at the counter, it’s not so bad . It’s what you expect from a run down place .Ive stayed here about 3 times, and each time the rude man gets worse. The second visit he charged me a 50 dollar deposit . Yesterday he charged me a 100 dollar deposit . I’ve given him no reason for the disrespect and ill will . I have yet to receive the original 50 , as it has not been 7 to 10 business days. I’ll keep you all posted.

    We didnt stay at the property there was a misunderstanding between the hotel and expedia the person working the front dest smelled terribly and was soo rude didnt want to dealwith the situation said if i had a problwm to call expedia despite the fact that ny money was tookfrom my accout the hotel tried to say i checked in when i did not check in and expedia has yet returned my money or phone call even though i was given a ticket number for my case to be reviewed by management and i was supposed to be contacted within 24 hours its now been 24 hours and counting and still nothing no money no phone call and noone resolving my problem that was created due to something not being specific in the expedia website when booking this room

    Great prices for a quick stay or business trip where a hotel isn’t an option, staff is good and the location has a lot of attractions. The place isn’t a 5 star hotel but it is a place to stay and spend the night, smoking rooms are always a plus.

    The room I got has no WIFI. The mgr. Accused that my 2 phones are defective. The room was lousy seems never been used before. When I want to check out the following day, they give me a better room. Personnel at Sands Motel are disrespectful of seniors. Will not refund my $100 deposit because i have so many trash. Those are empty boxes. SSS office close by but they pretend they do not know. The manger himself is rude has no professionalism. Upon checking in, he immediately charge the full amount plus 100 deposit without informing me. To me, this is a highway robbery.

    I mean it was cheap, but thats about it. Floors were ugly and stained. Found a spider in my shower that my wife freaked out about. Roaches in the restroom also. Room was non smoking and smelled mugy and smokey. Had to leave the door open for the first hour to try and air it out and even than I was worried about leaving it open due to weirdos walking around. Restroom got clogged in the middle of the night and at 6am I decided to call front desk

    room 227 no hot water., bad internet service, bad cable service (more Spanish station then ESPN or other American national station), just a bad experience all around when you travel M-F 36000-38000 miles/week and you wont to have a weekend to relax and watch the NCAA and other sports, what more do you wont me to say BAD EXPERIANCE
