No one was at the desk for checking in. The hallways smelled awful. Like pot, smoke and other things. The halls were dirty. The room was okay. Two little towels were all that

This place was not up to my basic standards of living. I will never stay here again.

Staff was polite and location of building was convenient. The price was insane, the quality of the room and building were nowhere near the price tag I paid. The hallway reeked of weed, the desk in the room and surfaces clearly dirty/not wiped down, shower wall/floor surfaces cracking, hole in blanket on bed, and the parking lot needed to be redone/featured a huge crater/smaller potholes. I would have advocated for a refund if I wasn’t so desperate to forget the whole experience.

I really don’t know what to say for this Hotel. It was ridiculous. The bed was not made up. It had a cigarette burning on it. It was just totally a disaster and I have pictures to prove it.

it's a budget hotel, so don't expect anything more, but the bed was excellent. Everything was super clean. The service was great and I'm gonna use this hotel every time I visit Rochester.
- 1/5
Parking was riddled with large potholes, rooms were absolutely filthy with greasy food residue found on the table, near the light fixture switches, on the floor. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned
- 1/5
Absolutely disgusting. The first room had no table or coat rack or comforter and smelled like cigarettes. They moved me to another room that had a grimy bathroom and again no comforter, plus a broken heater. The owner tried to get into the room without announcing himself. I don’t know how this place is allowed to be open.
- 3/5
Just ok
- 3/5
Close to airport, not much in the area. You get a bed and a warm shower. A bit older and not much around. Does have a lot of electrical vehicle charging stations there though.
- 3/5
Its proximity to the airport is a plus. No amenities, but it’s ok if one just wants basic lodging.
- 1/5
Not clean for anyone to say
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was not good but we always make the best of it. Shower head broken. No garbage can in bathroom. Towels were thin and looked like rags. Sheets were too small for bed, torn and had cigarette burns. Room window was filthy with dead flies, hair….Fridge had no temp control and items froze over night. The room served it purpose. .
- 5/5
Staff were great
- 2/5
The towels were not clean plus they only gave us on washcloth and to very small bath towels. The bathtub was very unsightly and when called the front desk no one answered the phone we had to go ourselves to find an employee. No blow dryer, no coffee pot in room
- 4/5

- 1/5
Room was not cleaned properly. It was disgusting !
- 2/5
The parking was okay. We didn't need laundry services.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. But the place is a little rough around the edges. Room smelled strongly of bleach. No washcloth or hand towel. Loudest heater/AC I have ever encountered. Just a cheap stay near the airport (I had a 5:30am departure).
- 2/5
Rooms were not cleaned properly and the appliances were poorly maintained. The bedding consists of a sheet set and a throw blanket. That's not enough to keep warm. The heater unit was loud and didn't reach the set temperature. It was a chilly NY night. I'm was less than impressed.

- 1/5
This was a bad stay. Smelled like smoke and weed even in a non smoking room. Now our whole luggage and clothes must air out. The staff did try to help, but when you allow smoking in the building, it's gonna get everywhere. The room wasn't done up property, precious guest garbage was till there, but they did try to fix it. We are a family with young kids, tried to save a couple bucks, but man, thus was ghetto. Sorry guys, fail. Other guests seemed like they needed a home, not a hotel. They were cheap, but you get what you pay for. But is this what you want your business to be known for?

The room next door sounded like they were throwing a party at 1am. Front desk did nothing to resolve the situation, and it was decided to just go home at 2am. This hotel is trash, do not stay here
- 1/5
Stained sheets, horrible bed, seedy clientelle in the property and neighborhood... do I need to go on?
- 1/5
Made reservation for a handicap accessible room but was told none were available on arrival. Unable to take a shower- no hot water. Front desk argued with me when I reported the water problem stating I didn’t know how to use the faucet.
- 1/5
Do not stay here if you have kids. The place is very dated and dirty. Staff allowed me to check the room before checking in. Gald he did, room is dated. Bathroom was dirty with broken faucet.
- 3/5
The dispensers in the bathroom were empty. The tube look like it was not clean and the mirror in the bathroom had spots all over it.
- 1/5
When i got there , i was given a key to checkcout the room before hand. The room wasnt even close to as nice as any photos, it was very run down. Holes in the bed sheets in a non smoking room, I found black hairs in the sheets, all of the buttons in the AC were smashed out, no soap in the bathroom, but the bathroom was KINDA clean. My partner and I were in the room for not even 5 minutes discussing our other options, and as i decided to ajust my clothes in the bathroom ,the guy walked in, so I shut the door for privacy. He asked us if we wanted to stay and my partner expressed how he didnt like the room. The worker went from panick to trying to reason by offering more blankets and other things to anger after we discussed we didnt want it and started to use things against me like how i was in the bathroom and how i now had to pay for the room. He held onto my ID and wouldnt give it back. My drivers ID. He still has it. I left after the hostility interaction. Also, theres photos and videos of bed bugs posted by others as of recent. Not a good stay, nor place. Dont reccomend. Worst place i have ever seen. The best part was the parking lot.
- 4/5
Convenient and trouble-free.
- 1/5
The bathroom was disgusting. The sheets and pillows had stains. I left the sleeping bag in my room that I bought at Walmart for your next guest. The domestic violence outside in the parking lot was so sad to say the least. The gentleman running the front desk was nice and let me look at the 1st room that he offered me that had a shower that was dripping and a toilet that had remains left in it. The 2nd room was not much better but it was close to the airport.
- 4/5
prety good value for the price. would be nice to have an elevator.
- 1/5
I was for one day only, I requested a receive and the front desk guy declined it...
- 1/5
We Went in our room turned the lights on, and saw cockroaches, went down to check out, and couldn't get refunded!
- 1/5
We stayed in this place about 30 mins til we found another hotel!!! THE SHEETS AND BATHROOM ARE DIRTY!!! They are selling drugs and other things this place is the worse place I have ever been in DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!! A MAN WALKED UP TO MY CAR AND ASKED IF I HAD WHITE GIRL LIKE WHAT
- 1/5
I had an idea of red reproof hotels from the past but this place smells marihuana from the main door to the bedding. Hair everywhere in the room. Please a little respect to consumers. Its a dumpster.
- 2/5
The frondesk staff was top notch. They were polite professional, and welcoming. I can not say enough about them. They are the glue keeping thatvplace together. The facility is what it is, it needs a remodeling and periodic maintenance.
- 3/5
Close to ROC airport is good; I walked to hotel in pm after turning in the rental car; 15 min. walk each way!

- 2/5
One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in
- 1/5
No clines very derty room no soap tha service very poor everything notgood.
- 1/5
Very dirty and bugs
- 2/5
The overall experience was mediocre at best. The gentleman who checked me in was very kind and it was a quick process. They even upgraded the bed sizing for free. This does not make up for the other issues however. It is summer time and they have a humidifier running in the hallway which caused the entire hallway, and the room upon first arrival, to feel extremely muggy and hotter than normal. The room had some cleanliness issues. Hair found on the sheets, the corners of the bathroom and main room both had clearly not been swept, as well as the top of the night stands. I stayed here because it was the cheapest room in the area and now i see why. I likely wouldnt return if given the option of something else withing 100 dollar difference
- 4/5
Overall it was pretty average for the Rochester area..
- 2/5
There's no security. From the moment you walk in, the smell of cigarettes hits the room, and the clothes in the room have picked up that foul odor, and the mattress and pillows are incredibly uncomfortable. The only thing I can say was that the shower water pressure and temperature were good. In general, they need to renovate all the rooms. We occupied two rooms, and both were in the same, terrible condition. We've used these hotels in other states before, but this one was the worst experience. The young man at the front desk was attentive.
- 1/5
I didn't like this please
- 5/5
Great place
- 1/5
The bed was full of crumbs and hair from the previous occupant; the sheets had clearly not been changed. There was wet brown slime on the floor. The window was broken and could not fully shut. There were only two pillows in the whole room and some lights did not work. Fixtures were rusty and gritty, walls were smudged with brown. Front desk staff argued with me claiming that the room was perfectly fine. He refused to refund me claiming I had "used the room" even though I only went up, saw that it was filthy, and immediately went back to the desk to check out again. I swear I'm not a fastidious customer, I'm a frequent traveler and this is the first time I've ever refused to stay in a hotel.
- 4/5
close to Enterprise car rental (5-minute walk)
- 1/5
The room was dirty asf
- 3/5
Grade of D+ to C-
- 2/5
Unfortunately the room was dirty, the shower had long hair all over the walls, with no soap or shampoo in the shower, the bed was pretty much a king sized cot, complete with thin sheets. The lights on outside made it so it looked like it was day time at 1am with the blinds closed. And the ac was load, clunky, and extremely dusty. There was also wear and tear throughout. Not the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at, especially for just an 8 hour stop over, and if I needed to have a quick stay for a super early flight again, I would probably even consider coming back, but definitely not for a longer stay than that.
- 5/5
I choose to stay here after renting a creepy and uncomfortable hotel the night before. I called and spoke to AK and he was very helpf
- 1/5
Roaches and unclean rooms
- 5/5
Have no complaints as there was no problems as well anything i requested was made accessible management was professional and courteous.
- 4/5
The staff took care of your questions or problems immediately!!!
- 5/5
Great value for the price.
- 2/5
Rooms were dirty no extras of any kind . Fire alarm went off for aprox 20 minutes that’s when I realized how dirty the glass was. Wasn’t sure if it was smoke or just dirt
- 1/5
Room was very dirty. Curtains were gross and covered in dirt and dust. The AC vents had probably never been cleaned. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Overall this place wasn't worth 100 even for a late night place to crash.
- 3/5
It served its purpose, need a renovation
- 4/5
Quiet location away from traffic. Water pressure in the shower needs some help. Short drive to University of Rochester. Warm shower and comfortable beds, met the needs of a simple traveler. Friendly puppy greeter, loves chin rubs.
- 1/5
It was honestly an awful experience. The sheets were stained, the room facilities were old and outdated. The water caused me to have hives. The bathroom was leaking. No one cleaned the room. There was a dog that kept barking. Not a good look for the hotel. Do not recommend.
- 2/5
I reserve this this hotel because my son was graduating from SUNY Brockport University and it’s a 4 1/2 hour drive from Ohio. I called. I had a late check in because I couldn’t get there at 3 o’clock. I didn’t get off of work in Ohio until five so I got there about 845 Ish When I walked in the room it stunk musty smelly. The mirror in the bathroom was filthy. I didn’t cover up with any of the blankets because the bed did not even look like it was inviting to sleep in the pillows reeked I had to take my T-shirt and use it as a pillowcase because it smelled so bad The bathroom sink faucet water barely came out of it in the drain in the bathroom sink faucet, which I took pictures had cigarette butts down the drain put on the air conditioner and that reeked to high heaven. I checked out May 16 at 8 o’clock in the morning I didn’t wanna stay anymore. It’s not a very pleasant place. It needs very much updating and for the price I paid it wasn’t worth my stay. I will not stay there anymore. I even have pictures that I took for proof.
- 3/5
Everything needs upgrading. This hotel is too close to the airport to not reflect the constant business that I am sure it receives.
- 1/5
Book the room for two nights only stayed one because there's no way I can be inconvenience two nights in a row with the filth the shower curtain had black mold on it the bottom of the tub was black the side table wasn't even cleaned off I had to go buy my own washcloths and sheets it was just gross
- 5/5
Will consider staying again
- 1/5
The room next door 241 must have been dealing drugs or running prostitutes because the traffic was non stop. People stomping around, slamming doors, hanging in the doorway and seemed like they were moving furniture all night long. They also had a dog that would run back amd forth the entire time when left alone in the room. Was impossible to rest. Ended up leaving early.
- 2/5
The only clean things were the sheets. The bathroom was dirty. The floor was extremely dirty. A better housekeeping can go a long way. I was also greeted by a German shepherd. I love dogs but in a commercial Place they should not bark at everyone coming in. People were noisy. I could hear everyone walking and talking on the hallway and the loud cars at the parking lot. It was only one night… but at least the bed smelled like washed linens.
- 2/5
The room was not clean the vent has stuff stuffed in it that people have left there’s marking all over the walls the bathroom clearly dirty I didn’t find anything wrong with the bed but still felt icky being in the room alone good if you don’t have money to afford something else but otherwise I wouldn’t stay here long term
- 1/5
Room wasn't cleaned properly. Hair in shower and tub, asked for towels because none were in the room and received 1 towel for 2 adults, the towel was stained with ashes, no ice bucket in room or cups.
- 1/5
No towel in the bathroom, tub was dirty, no iron and no HAIRDRYER
- 5/5
Super cool and easy acess
- 2/5
It was very run down. My blanket had a burn hole in it. The hand soap dispenser was empty. And there were piles of trash up and down the hall.
- 3/5
This was a very inexpensive stay after I came in late from the airport. Staff was very nice. I cant say anything specifically wrong or right. Very close to the airport.
- 1/5
The TV didn’t work, the place smelled bad, they shut off my power at 8:00am and someone came by to ask me if I was supposed to be there. When I told them I was they turned my power back on. Will never go back.
- 1/5
the shower head wasn't properly plumbed in.
- 1/5
Awful hotel
- 2/5
Very uncleanly
- 1/5
My hand soap canister, body wash and shampoo where empty for my entire stay. I told reception about it and they never refilled it.Room was not cleaned and bed was never remade during entire stay. The free continental breakfast was a absolute joke. I will never stay at any red roof again.
- 1/5
This hotel was a complete dump … surly staff … atrocious room with “suspect” matter on the floor and walls in the bathroom … absolutely disgusting…
- 2/5
Staff is doing the best they can but its clear that this is more of a long-term stay place than a hotel and very little staff. I would look elsewhere.
- 4/5
It was not far from the downtown area
- 4/5
The gentleman at the front desk was kind and very very welcoming! The hotel is conveniently a 17 minute walk from the airport and a 4 minute drive. Definitely an ideal spot for a one night stay (what I did). The hotel definitely needs some renovating to do and cleaning. There is a small lobby lounge and on site parking. Wall are thin - Try and get a room as far away from entrance, you will hear all the noise from people coming in and out and it kept me up at night! Overall, a good place to shower and lay down for a night.
- 1/5
Disaster
- 1/5
Terrible hotel. Room was dirty, splatter on walls and ceiling, garbage on floor (see plum seed), dirty bathroom, dirty wiped mirror and television. Sheets were missing on one bed. Smell of pot in the hallway. Missing half of the snap over door latch. Definitely will not be going to a Red Roof Inn again.
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. The guy at the desk was super nice.
- 1/5
This place was dirty had holes in the walls smelled horrible
- 1/5
Real rip off for 200$ - pictures on Expedia bear no resemblance to the actual property Very difficult to get a taxi to airport as it is only 5 minutes but too dangerous to walk Guy at reception on Sunday morning was extremely nice & offered lift to airport if taxi was a no show
- 1/5
Do not stay here. Romm reeked of bleach, brown stains on blanket, pink streaks in shower, heater full of trash and debris, disgusting room.
- 1/5
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was very dirty. The toilet seat wasn’t connected to the toilet. We were given 1 wash cloth and when we asked for a second we had to wait a couple hours for them to do the laundry. The tub was disgusting. We had to go buy flip flops to shower. The bedding was dirty. There was mold around the base of the refrigerator. The floor was sticky. Had there been another hotel with vacancies we would not have stayed. The worst part we paid more for the crappy room than I have paid for nice suite style hotels.
- 2/5
The floors appeared unswept; the towels were hung in a very messy way that made it questionable if thry were fresh; the bedding and blanket were stained/dirty and also questionable whether thry were fresh; and there eas ledt over food in the fridge.
- 3/5
Room did not have soap or shampoo. Very inconvenient for dining options.
- 1/5
Could not check in due to internet issues. Police in lobby questioning people. Another customer showed pictures of mold in bathroom and toilet not bolted to floor before checking out himself. I left before checking in due to poor service (front desk staff announced check in computer down then left the front desk without giving estimate of return) and fear of poor hotel stay.
- 2/5
However, the room was not clean (dirt on the floor and stains in the bathroom). Other accommodation in the area at the time were expensive, so I opted for a cheap stay. I would say I got what I paid for.
- 1/5
We reserved 3 rooms for our wedding guests but upon arrival at 3am two of them were told their rooms have been rented out because they arrived too late. Not only that but we were billed for all three and had to host our guests on blow up mattresses across the house. I don't know what kind of bizarre logic the owners are using here but it is unacceptable what so ever for a hotel by the airport to be giving away rooms specifically booked for guests arriving late! And no, there is no cut off time for arrival mentioned anywhere. Absurd!
- 1/5
The walls were thin and there was a cigarette hole in the sheets.
- 5/5
Affordable.
- 4/5
Very nice for price
- 5/5
I will be staying every Thursday at this hotel the desk assistant was very friendly and respectful I will continue my stay here every week till febuary
- 1/5
The person at the front desk was wonderful and allowed me to cancel my stay. This was the worst condition hotel I have ever seen. So dirty, so nasty, looked like a storied hooker hotel. But the service guy was super kind and excellent.
- 1/5
I didn’t stay here and they charged me anyway.
- 1/5
I had to leave the property, it has a horrible odor, there was trash in my room, the toilet was not cleaned. It smell as if they have a dead body in the floor or something in bad condition for many days. The only good thing was the guy at the reception who accept to refund me most of my money
- 3/5
Not terribly clean. Exterior area was shabby and needed some pick-up. Perhaps some elementary landscaping. Windows needed dramatic cleaning. Could hardly see out of the dirt laden glass.
- 1/5
It was something that I could not even attempt to sleep in.
- 4/5
Clean but spartan accommodations. One towel and 2 wash cloths. Toilet seat barely attached. Linens (sheet and flimsy blanket) for king bed were queen sized and unable to be tucked in. Light bulbs missing. Hole in wall covered up by chicken joint sticker. Because a room is cheap shouldn’t mean it can’t be maintained.
- 3/5
Room and Shower was dirty towels were dirty no soap for shower
- 1/5
My room was wet, the sheets and the towels were dirty.
- 3/5
You get what you pay for.
- 1/5
Very disappointed in the condition of a long time favorite Red roof .
- 2/5
This place is old, dirty, and run down. Do not recommend.
- 3/5
The room itself was fine. Fairly recently remodeled, and the mattress was excellent. But the hotel grounds and common area were not very well-maintained. The hotel also seem to be full of Transient type people, Many of whom were smoking marijuana. There are many people who possibly would not feel safe in this environment.
- 3/5
It was ok. The walls aren't soundproof so I could here voices from the hallway. The bathroom was mostly clean except for mildew on the tub.
- 1/5
The front entrance was access to use . Myself n my husband had to use the side door entrance to gain lobby entrance . The room tub water didn’t go down so myself couldn’t shower after my husband (( had go to in-laws house to freshen up ))) .. there was shower gel in the or shampoo in the bathroom . The room air smelled like a damp sour mop . Moist in the air . Then police showed up for another guest saying she was kidnapped . The shelter have Red Cross guest living there . Overall I want a quick stay but I see u get what you pay for ! So my first n last at a red roof inn !!
- 1/5
Read the reviews and believe what you read. Immediately booked a different hotel and left. This was no where the experience the photos conveyed.
- 4/5
Excellent staff. Very helpful, gallant and kind.
- 1/5
Falling apart. Staff was not helpful and rude.
- 1/5
Lobby under construction, Odor of drug use in stair way. Noisy. Load guests. loud refrigerator. Near Airport so jet noise. Train noise, highway noise. Filthy bathroom. shoe stuck to floor.
