The staff was great. When we arrived our reservation was messed up. The front desk fixed it. Maybe it's me and my age. But, the king room was small and cramped. You can tell that Rockford hotels are trying to add more rooms while taking space from the other rooms. We had just over 2 feet between the end of the bed and a giant retail counter to put stuff on. There was about a hand width away from the toilet when you shower or bathe. I paid less for breakfast out then the $13 each for some cold cereal & links. Waffles were extra $$$. The pillows were so flat it hurts your neck. I asked for extra or different git 3 more flat ones. House keeping AWESOME. Staff friendly l. But, hotels are more and more like a MOTEL 6.

Staff was helpful and friendly Got bumped from a King room down to an "accessible" room with no offer of a discount for taking a room different than we had booked. Staircase at our end of the building was closed for repair which wouldn't have been a big deal but one of the elevators was down as well.

Need to check the pool on a regular basis. My husband and I were going to get into the pool but the water was hazy, which made me think the pool was not staff monitored.

We get to the room and it appeared to be ok. The next morning, my husband went to get a shower & there was a disgusting brown stain on the towel! The lamp in the room was broken & not standing straight. The elevator was missing the up & down lights & covered. The sign for the “in case of emergency use the stairs” sign outside of the elevator was missing letters. Nitpicking maybe, but a safety issue. We parked in the handicapped parking lot and the sidewalk was crumbling so bad, I’m more sure if a wheelchair or a walker with wheels could get through. I’m an amputee. If I hadn’t been looking down I could have easily tripped. When we checked out, I realized that I had forgotten something so my husband went to get it. It’s a nice day, so I left the door open. I was accosted in the parking lot from a lady asking me to help her & her daughters to get home. I told her I was sorry I couldn’t apologized & shut the door. She had a tote back, so how do I know what was on there. Husband come out, I told him what happened & we go on our way. She followed us to the gas station & came right up to my husbands window. May not be a hotel issue, but we didn’t feel safe.

2. The pool seem over chlorinated. 3.There was literally a party on Saturday night on my whole floor . From kids running down the hallway was like racing , to them playing ding dong ditch , yelling. I understand they are children. But for them to running back and forward after 11 pm . There were no parents authority until maybe 12:30 . I reached down to the office a few times and they sent up “security” once .I also brought Childs with me and it was hard for them to rest with the noise . 4.I complained in the morning and I almost dismissed about the situation. I think staff need to keep a closer eye on situations. And the pool . You think your travel to a hotel to have a relaxing stay and hang out with your kids . This didnt happen this stay . Will not be coming back .

On the day of our stay there were 20 other people in the hot tub. So I decided to get my own when I went home. There were a few other parties that evening

I had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to a screaming baby they could not control. I had to be up by 5am. Upon going to another room the hallway smelled of straight weed which was disgusting.

Happened to be there that they were having wedding party and the hot tub/pool were full of people... lucky for us that we were sooo tired and got good sleep then took off for home next day!

There is not even a starting point of the horrific nightmare. The manager tried being accommodating, however did acknowledge history of these issues. Never again will my family stay in Rockford, period.

The room was clean. There was a keurig but unfortunately only tea. No coffee k-cups. The hotel pool was closed due to cleaning. This information would have been nice to know ahead of time since I had invited my niece who loves to swim. The staff that worked during our stay wasn’t as welcoming or friendly as the last staff was during our previous bookings.

Our room was mostly clean when we got there. Night stand had sticky residue and food stuck on it, comforter was dirty on top, random items on the floor suggesting it hadn’t been vacuumed.

I'm upset. The fire alarm went off, waking me dead out of sleep. I thought one of the boys' tablets had gone off. Then I realized it was the fire alarm. My grandson's wouldn't wake up. And when they did, they were crying. It was scary stuff. We grabbed all our winter gear, car keys, and the room key. In the hallway, people had no clue what to do. I asked four different people what was going on, but no one knew. I decided to take the boys to the lobby. It was very crowded in there. The man behind the counter was yelling over the alarm, stating that it was set off because someone was smoking on the 3rd floor. In my mind, how did you know that? This is a huge hotel. The fire department wasn't even there yet, and the alarm was still going off. Kids were crying, and one kid was screaming at the top of her lungs. My grandson's did what I asked them. As soon as the man behind the counter said to take whatever we wanted from the store snack area, people hoarded food. It was crazy stuff. The lobby cleared out after that. I stayed and waited for the fire department. They came in. We followed them to the elevator, and I asked, "How do you know it was a smoker if you just got here and haven't investigated?" One fireman looked at me and said, "We know!" Well, okay then. I'm to believe you. Not! This was a crazy and scary experience. I found out this morning it wasn't even a smoker that set the alarms off, it's was the hotel piping. 😑

The room was fine but the blinds didnt shut and the room was hot. The privacy was the only issue id complain about. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The pool was broken so none of the waterfalls worked. Kids were drowning in there and the parents werent watching their kids. Very obnoxious. Then when we finally were going to sleep my daughter went to the bathroom and turned the light on and a 2 inch cockroach ran across the bathroom sink and that was the icing on the cake for me. If my baby wasnt asleep I would've just left the hotel. Way too expensive for the room to deal with all of that. Horrible. Never again.

Staff was very friendly, but we had a poor stay here. I didn't like the bed, my partner was allergic to something in the room (we suspect the laundry detergent), and there were screaming children running through the halls until after midnight. The kids in the room across the hall were so loud. We had trouble sleeping.

No free breakfast

The problems didn’t stop there. The mums outside were dead from neglect, the lobby coffee table was littered with debris, and only one clerk manned the front desk during peak check-in. None of the staff wore uniforms or name tags, and they looked sloppy. The elevators crawled, my room was cave-dark, with lumpy pillows, too few blankets, a sagging mattress, mold in the tub caulking, and stains on the floor. The wedding brunch was a disaster. There was no coffee, stale pastries, bagels with no toaster, yogurt with no spoons, raw bacon, and constant silverware shortages. Service was chaotic, and the spread was embarrassingly poor. I expect better quality from Hilton. I paid an exorbitant amount for my room, and the conditions were unsatisfactory. The phone ordeal was infuriating, and the other failures — from the dead mums to the sloppy staff and mold in the bathroom — were shocking. This branch clearly needs help. I want my money back. Bad form, Hilton. I expect more!

The stay and service was average—I was there for business, so I just slept and attended my meetings. I can’t speak to the food, because I did not eat at the hotel. The bed was a tiny bit uncomfortable (on the harder side) and the floor was a little noisy at times, but they were hosting several events. The smoke alarm in the room went off on the first night due to low battery and continued on, so I called the desk several times, but no one answered. I had to go downstairs to the front desk for help. The staff was kind enough to help and they took it down for the evening and then it was fixed the following day. I asked for an extra comforter twice and never received it—once to housekeeping and once to the front desk. Overall, those things didn’t make the stay terrible, just minor inconveniences. The room was clean, staff was helpful when needed—just perhaps a little spread thin, and the environment was family friendly.

It’s not that costly or difficult to do better in your restaurant! The particular dish I ordered said fresh basil from menu. There was no fresh basil, just too much dried thyme. Sorry, chef!

This was a nice, quick stay. Very near restaurants, casino, and a nice pool. Too bad the fire alarm went off randomly about 6:30am on Saturday morning.

This time we had four people and a double queen room. The room was clean, expect a dirty washcloth left in the bathroom. However the queen beds are no way queen sized, they were so small and not acceptable for two adults together. We requested a cot for the room and were told it was not possible because of fire code. I've never heard of this restriction in a hotel.

This trip was for a major surgery I was having and traveling to a world renowned surgeon in Rockford. From the minute we walked in the door Michelle was absolutely amazing. She was informative, genuine and welcoming. I was nervous and knew that at least my stay here was going to be wonderful. The day of my surgery we returned and we asked for extra pillows, she was spot on and said absolutely and anything else we needed, do not hesitate to ask. She recommended the restaurant and they did not disappoint either. We ate both nights we were there and it was amazing food and service! The room was very comfortable and clean. I needed a few extra towels and the cleaning staff in the hallway had no problem giving them to us. Overall, even though this was not a stay of pleasure, I am so happy we chose to stay here, as it made my first 2 days of recovery so comfortable and accommodating! Thank you Michelle and everyone there for being so kind and friendly!!

Way too expensive. Suite had 2 tvs that did not work. No complimentary breakfast for the expensive stay. Asked for a couple more coffee pods and they couldnt find any. I would never stay there again. Tim at the desk was very friendly. He should get a job at a better hotel.

Time to check in was too long as I had to wait for me room beyond 4:30 as none were ready. Then when I checked in I was in a special needs room where the bed was low and uncomfortable. The front desk staff was very nice.

Have a zero entrance pool for the kids, which is nice. They do charge for breakfast compared to other hotels that offer complementary breakfast. Staff is very polite and friendly. This is our go to when we come into the Rockford area.

Places is always been great every time we stay there, but we travel with medication and we asked the hotel to freeze our ice packs and we had to leave early in the morning. They couldn’t find it and it sent us back half an hour on our travel time minus that it’s a great place

We had a quick friendly check in. Stayed the night and at 8 am the next morning housekeeping was knocking on doors. They were going down the hallway and only knocking on doors where people were staying. They were waking everyone up. I could here people answering and then her saying “Oh sorry.” Then moving on to the next room that was occupied. I will never stay here again. Lots of hotels in this area pick a different one. Would not recommend this hotel.

This property was absolutely gorgeous. Super comfortable and clean. They had sit down dinning and were surrounded by restaraunts. I would definately come back.

Charges me double the going rate for the room . Sent me notices to check in early online then wouldn’t allow me to do it and when I inquired with Hilton for help told me to just check in when I arrive. Toilet gurgled all night. Handicapped room and auto remote for shades did not work properly.

For being a Hilton I was shocked on the staff not being present ay front desk, where I waited 20 minutes for someone to check in because the app would not work. Coffee maker didn't work, Hair dryer didn't work, and the TV had no remote and then after putting in a work order request after waiting 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk, (no one answered the phone) hair dryer still no good, TV still not online just cable available and that's all I get. Very disappointed at this location.

The hotel was nice but when I booked for the room I wanted I did not receive when arriving. Checking in I wasn’t told or notified that my room had gotten changed from a king bed to 2 queen beds for me and my significant other. I went back to the front desk immediately and said something about it, she told me that the hotel was overbooked so the manager must’ve changed it. She also said even though I reserved and paid for what I wanted doesn’t mean that I was receiving the room I wanted and told my significant other and I that we still can sleep on the same bed together. Have never experienced a hotel where they have changed the room, as well as lack of notifying customers on any change of room

The Holton and the stay was fine. The problem was that I booked (2) rooms with Hotels.com and there was only (1) room for me upon arrival. Something got messed up between you Hotels.com and the Hilton getting the reservation correct. I need to get a refund for (1) room that I didn't get upon arrival. How do I do that ?

overnight stop on a longer trip. the first night we stayed there was no one at the front desk for over 20 minutes. Granted we checked in late but still no way to contact anyone to let them know. The second time we stayed everything was fine but again the front desk is not very friendly.

On my day of checkout I went to the front desk to extend my stay and was told my room had already been reserved for someone else and that the hotel was completely booked. I then had to go back and scramble to get my things together and find another hotel for a night. This overall was the icing on the cake for me. Its to bad because I almost gave this hotel a five star review. Pure incompetence at its finest.

Pool and hot tub needed some extra attention

We booked this hotel because it was advertised as pet-friendly, we have a 10-lb dog. When checking in, the person said there was a $75 extra charge, this was not disclosed when I booked the hotel online.

We stayed for one night as we were passing through. Near the highway which is convenient and close proximity to restaurants. Hotel room was clean (though our neighbors had children who were running up/down the hallway throughout the night). Hotel staff were nice. Would stay here again.

This is a very nice property. We had a one room suite. We really appreciated the sofa table and the 2 ottomans on rollers. The bed was very comfortable.

Easy check in. Nice staff. There wasn't any conditioner in the shower. While I appreciate eco friendly hotels I was in the middle of washing my hair and needed it, so I was happy I remembered to bring my own.

Stay was good. We have stayed here several times. Staff was friendly. Room was minimally stocked with little conditioner, lotion or tissues. Pool and hot tub was good. Kids had fun!

The room was wonderful and we came as both a business trip and for pleasure. My company paid for the 3rd and I paid for the 4th. On the 3rd I was told we could stay in the same room with out an issue but on the 4th my husband was told he would have to pay 35 dollars to stay in the same room. About 30 minutes of confusion at the front desk and we were allowed to stay in the same room for free. This should never been an issue. My boss tried to call the hotel prior to me staying so we could stay in the same room but no one ever answered the phone. Then the day of our departure, the elevator was broken. We were on the top floor with all our luggage. What's up with HIlton's and the elevators? We were just in Daytona Beach and my husband spent 45 minutes trapped in an elevator. Can you please make sure your elevators work? It's a big issue

It’s a 3 star hotel. The lobby area is very nice but the rooms are somewhat dated. Hairs in the sink and bathtub that weren’t my color but clean otherwise. Bed was comfortable. Could hear highway noise.

We have stayed here several times. It is a really nice hotel and the staff are usually very good. However this time we were given an accessible room. Beds were almost on the floor, bath/shower had about 5 grab bars. Not the room I was expecting. I checked in on line and was told I had room 219 but when we got there they said they only had a room on the 3rd or 4th floor. They gave us the 4th floor. Not sure what was going on. First time I booked this hotel on Expedia. I hope it didn’t have anything to do with that.

Nice king sized room, handicapped accessible. The room was clean and functional. There are nice restaurants fairly close by and gas stations too. The proximity of the hotel to the new casino should be noted.

This hotel is nice, but it is certainly not a five star either. We just stayed in an outstanding hotel, so this review may be more on the negative side in comparison. The bed was fine but the linen was below average - fitted sheet came off during the night so I was sleeping directly on the mattress with no barrier. The bathroom room was basic and fairly cramped - not meant for a couple to share at the same time. This hotel is close to the interstate so you will hear highway traffic. On the positive side, the restaurant and bar was excellent and the food was great. It is very nice to not have to go out to eat after a long day of travel.

Just an overnight on the road home from visiting family. I was happy with the cleanliness and ample towels in the bathroom. Ingenious closet space with open hanging and drawer space so you don’t forget anything. However, the restaurant/bar not open u til breakfast the next morning due to the holiday. The front desk clerk did recommend a restaurant in the area with a coupon.
