I was very impressed by the hospitality and how kind everyone was.

We really enjoyed the courtyard. It was very attractively laid out with beautiful plants and comfortable seating with tables. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy a summer evening.

The property is outdated and the lighting is horrible! The bed was comfortable. A saving feature!

We had an amazing stay at the Courtyard by Marriot in Rockford Illinois. The only disappointment was that the pool had to close inorder to recalibrate the chlorine levels and it was during the only block of time we had to let our 2 year grandson to practice swimming. Overall a great stay!

I loved the courtyard outside and it was a comfortable place to spend the night for a concert about 15 minutes away. No issues. But definitely the courtyard was my favorite part of the hotel.

Cleanliness the staff is nice and helpful.

The children running in the halls and taunting my children all weekend ruined it for us.

We arrived Saturday AM to Rockford for a soccer tournament and our morning game was canceled at the last minute. Maria was amazing and let us check in early rather than make us wait until 3pm. It was a life saver!

It was pretty beat up. Ripped wallpaper in the bathroom. Dirty carpet etc. I would not go back. There are too many other hotels in the area to try.

It was clean, very updated and friendly staff. Very accommodating. The staff went above and beyond to get us shuttled to and from the hockey game so we didn’t have to drive unfamiliar area. Our driver Josh was so great. He was safe, very friendly, and he even told us some history about the Rockford area. No complimentary breakfast or we would have loved to have had a happy hour with drinks and maybe some appetizers after driving 3.5 hours to the hotel.

The hote was nice anf the room was too except for the heater that was extremely loud. It rattled and was loud overall.

charging for coffee in the morning is nickel and dimey. how much can you actually make here? won't be staying at a courtyard again because of this practice.

Nothing at all Only had one elevator. The room was musty. Charged for incidentals per night per room! Staff were unfriendly. Needs to be updated. Overall horrible experience!

I’m ok with it being older hotel but the furniture looks like it was dipped in Ebola and should be throw out. Towels had hairs in them and tv was not working properly for two days and I finally checked out early. Expected more of a Marriott property this was Marriott name and a motel 6 feel. Would not give me coffee cups from the “Starbucks” bar when they couldn’t find the ones in the room tried to give me soup cups for coffee and the. Room is made for 4 people had 2 glasses In it? Make it make sense? Ice machines and elevators don’t equal anywhere near hall we were placed on.

I arrived in the middle of a snow squall so the walks were not shoveled. I understand on a Saturday evening, the regular maintenance staff most likely were gone for the day.

Maggie, the front desk clerk. Checked me in, so friendly, helpful and accommodating! Room was spacious, loved the balcony. Beds were comfortable, pillows great. Very small bathroom, no fridge.

The location was good - near the freeway and several fast food restaurants. The breakfast setup was unusual, to say the least — but the food was good and the attendant was extremely helpful. The toilet paper and “Kleenex” tissue were like sandpaper. Personally, I would have preferred a bigger breakfast.

The uncomfortable beds they need better beds

First, it was my T, V, but the employee came and explained it to me and I just had to change channel, I thought it was the whole TV, but it was good.

Staff was so nice!!! Room was cozy and convenient. Good Value. Nice Pool. Loved the sliding walk out to patio. I would stay here again. No complaints at all!! Staff went out of their way to help. The front entrance was closed off, so exits on side of the building were converted into the entrance, despite conflicting signage claiming otherwise. I know that there was a pool, but I didn't use it.

Stay was fine overall. I wasn't told anything about breakfast, even though I selected the add-on for my stay. And the wifi wouldn't connect. Room was fine.

The room was clean and comfortable. Loved that it had a comfortable couch and foot rest. The sink was outside the toilet and shower-we both love this. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and effecient. My favorite part was the Starbucks in the lobby. Only thing I missed was free breakfast but they have a Biestro on site. The Thunder Bay restaurant next door was excellent!

Room was fine... we were very disappointed in your t.v. channel selections, 90% sports... we wont stay again t.v. being #1 and no free breakfast #2.. and no overhead roof at front door parking when checking in.

The room was clean and the service cordial and competent. We got back late and found compare g open. Ran out of hot water and no pressure and kept slipping to the center of the bed. I would not stay here again.

Everything was good accept for the price we paid, they need a free breakfast like all the other hotels. We won’t be staying here again for that reason.

Your staff is was made it so special. The entire staff was friendly and willing to help with anything. When you passed a staff member in the halls, they made it a point to say hello. We will be keeping the Courtyard Marriott as a favorite place to meet and stay with friends. Thank you for the great service.

We had pleasant stay, though indeed this Marriott brand needed some updates or maybe to have a good maintenance team & employees who knows how to give a good touches for few significant spots. Some of lobby sofas cover were broken/damaged, including bedroom ceiling, an outdated bathroom doors which never been touched/repainted, spider web/rusted sprinkler, ac unit with broken cover. These are the items could be fixed easily. Thank you.

The bartender was an absolute doll! I don’t remember her name but she was amazing! We had such a fun time joking around and she made me feel special. The front desk gentleman was the most patient man I’ve ever seen. He had a phone call that I could tell was an older person who did not understand a lot of things and didn’t know how to use a map app on their phone. He was so patient and sweet to them. I would have pretended the reception was bad and hung up!!!! They were the only two employees I had contact with but because of them I will book another stay in the future. I wish I remembered the bartenders name because we “we’re going to ditch men and go have a girls night”!!!

Room was clean and spacious. We had a balcony which was a bonus. Bathroom was large and also very clean. Pool looked nice, but we ran out of time to use it. Our bed was super comfortable.

The staff was excellent! The room quality was very outdated and the furniture (couch) looked like it needs a deep cleaning. Carpet looks pretty old. Just looks old and needs updating and a deep cleaning.

We did not find the pool usable. The water looked dirty, it was not clear. And it was freezing cold.

The customer service here was exceptional, however, the air conditioning in our room wouldn't turn on a lot of times. Our first morning the pool didn't open until almost 9am, when it's advertised as opening at 8am. When we tried to swim the pool was so ridiculously cold that we could not swim in it. I checked throughout our stay and it never got warmer. Will not be staying here again.

The hotel was nice and the room was clean. I was surprised to find that there were no USB outlets like in other hotel rooms for device chargers. Was also disappointed that the pool was closed.

Terrible smell in the room. The room was not taken care of. There were stains on the wall, ceiling, the lampshade was gross. The room smelled like something was soured. Wall paper was discolored and starting to peel, bathroom had discolorations on door, walls, ceilings and floors. It’s way past time for an upgrade. The front desk area looks newer but the hall and room is gross. We won’t stay at this location again.

We were in great location to shopping, coffee, gas stations and entertainment. The room was clean. The bathroom was dated with water damage on the walls.

Outlets in bathroom didn’t work, no fan in bathroom, outlet in living room was physically broken. Fridge wasn’t cold and bag for ice bucket didn’t even fit…

Cleanliness was ok, the HVAC unit was quite noisy, the fridge has a humming droning noise.

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

The property was in well maintained order. There were signs it was an older property that had been kept up and kept up well. I enjoyed my stay there that week and would feel fine staying there again in the future.

First and foremost the property images are not as displayed in the rooms. The pictures are outdated as the units are old. The sofa bed was an old style not what I am used to from other hotels. But it had convenience of being next to the casino, Walmart, dining areas.

The hotel was in a good location, they offer an online check in but apparently it messes up to their system at the actual hotel so checking in took a little longer than usual. The bed was pretty comfortable. The carpet in the room almost felt damp and was noticably sticky in certain areas. The bathroom had a slight moldy smell as well.

The first impression was wonderful! The lobby must have been recently renovated because it looked fantastic. The rooms and hallways looked more dated. Our door handles was loose and we had to be careful to open the door probably. The room was clean, though, and freshly made up each of our 3 days there.

This is the first place we’ve ever stayed that didn’t have free coffee in the lobby. I paid extra for the breakfast that turned out to be a muffin. That couldn’t be refunded because I booked through Hotels.com. Room was quiet and clean and the coffee I paid for in the lobby was terrible. Nice place but byo-coffee

great hotel and very clean. Only issue was that toilet was not working properly and no one would be available to fix for a couple of hours so we had to relocate to a different room. However front desk was very cordial and offered drinks and snacks for the inconvenience.

Well the person said they locked themselves out of their account and had to wait 30 minutes to get us checked in and so myself and others had to wait over an hour to check in other than that everything else was perfect

Liked convenience of 1st floor sliding door allowing easy access to parking lot.

We were offered a bottle of water upon arrival, which helped so much in the evening. We were grateful for that! We saw there was a small convenience store for guests and cookies on a table. The front desk associate was super friendly and showed the map of the best parking closest to our room.

My room was clean as I desired and the beds are extremely comfortable. I was also upgraded to a king suite to my request for a room on the 1st floor.

This was the best temperature controlled room I have ever been in. Never fluctuated which made for a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed.

We checked into our room only to find it was like a sauna in there with the heat blasting. We could not adjust it, so I went to the front desk to let them know. They moved us to the room next door. The heat did not work in that room, so back to the front desk and was told maintenance would work on it. I told her we would not be back until late since we were in town for a concert at the BMO Center. When we returned around 11:30, there was a note on our door for me to go to the front desk. I was told that the air had been fixed in our original room, so we moved back to our original room. We got in there and the air conditioning was blasting and it was 61 degrees in our room. I was getting pretty upset and went back to the desk. The manager came up to our room to see if he could adjust the temperature, but was unsuccessful, so we said we would go back to the second room again. He gave me new keys, I went up to unlock the room and the keys did not work. So back to the desk for new keys. We got into the room and found it was chilly in there since it was 35 degrees outside. This was the room with no heat. Back to the desk. We were moved to a new room that was supposed to be clean, but wasn’t. I wanted to move to a new hotel, but by now it was 12:30. I was told that there was nothing they could do about refunding my money or getting me a room at a different hotel since I booked through a 3rd party. We ended up staying in the room with no heat. Worst hotel stay ever!

The room seemed super old and outdated. Our toilet also barely flushed. You could also hear every sound your neighbors made or even people down the hall. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Although this property is ready for some updating, it is spotlessly clean and the staff is charming and helpful. I would stay there again. I felt comfortable, safe and well cared for.
