The hotel and room was very clean. The curtain had holes in it which we did not realize until morning. Overall, I would stay again.

The carpet was worn and not securely attached to the floor, which could pose safety risks. The whole room requires an update or a renovation.

The room was clean, and adequately maintained. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. Parking close. Although Tesla Superchargers were not in the adjacent Holiday Inn garage, they were right next door and accessible from the garage next to Holiday Inn's closest garage. That worked out well. Reasonably priced and short walking distance to the the UC Davis Graduation ceremony at the Golden 1 Center.

Hotel location is an easy walk to old town Sacramento. The staff in the hotel restaurant/bar were friendly and nice. We had the best time sitting there talking to them. The people at the front desk were also helpful and friendly. One thing missing from the rooms was that there was no type of table or desk to sit at and no USB outlets where we could charge our phones.

Everything was great except the roll in shower was leaking all the way out into the entry way of room 619.

The couch pull-out bed was a joke. Creaky, soft, saggy, metal from mattress frame sticking up into back. Got no sleep. And the wall-mounted AC was so loud, it was a huge distraction. No peace, no sleep. Not an enjoyable stay.

Starting from the check in Maritza was very helpful and very sweet. Morning breakfast was very delicious and staff were very friendly. I had a good experience and would stay here again.

Our stay was okay. There was no trash can in the restroom. The pillows are horrible. Moths seem to be stuck between the curtains and the window. If your room is towards the back of the hotel there's a walkway for people and it's loud at night when you're trying to sleep.

I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful this location was in the heart of downtown Sacramento. We walked to Sutter health Park for an A’s game and this was a great deal. Clean, friendly staff and no problems whatsoever. Highly recommend

They would refund the money but it would take 3-5 days, and then we had to pay still put out money for our rooms. 2 people had to double pay for the weekend because of their error. The staff was very good. The room was well worn. The carpet seemed dirty and old. The little refrigerator door had trouble staying closed. The dinner we ordered at the small restaurant was very limited in choices. Also it seemed really unreasonable to charge $49 to park our car in their lot. That was an outrageous charge. But the staff was friendly and accomadating.

Very noisy inside. The walls and doors are thin enough to hear the people in the room next to you cough or lift the toilet seat. The sound of doors opening and closing or people talking in the hallways all throughout the night will be sure to keep you up. If not that, then the highway noise will probably do it.

We called to say we were going to be late to check in. the person said ok and that they would leave a note on our reservation. When we arrived we were told they were over booked and they didn't have a room for us. there wasn't a note on our reservation. we ended up having to pay a lot more to stay somewhere else. very unhappy with the service.

Came out of parking and up to an entrance with automatic door that said "Out of Order - Use main entrance", But there was no arrow indicating which way to go to find it. Simply adding and arrow would have made it unnecessary for me to hunt while carrying all of my luggage.

The location was great, there was a lot to do, places to visit and really good restaurants. The property is older and in my opinion needs some attention. Staff was great and hotel was neat, carpet was older than I’m used to but as clean as it could be for it’s age.

The staff is great, don't get me wrong, but breakfast and parking both cost $35/day. You can choose not to have breakfast but if you drive you can't really choose to not park your car. My room was clean and the amenities were good, so I could get breakfast items and bring them back to my room however I wish I had a microwave. The tub didn't drain very well (and I'm not sure why the guest before me didn't say anything) so I had to take 2 showers with little drainage, and the water flow/pressure kept changing during the course of each shower which was odd. I did appreciate the daily refreshing of my towels which I have not experienced in any hotel post-COVID so that was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Next time I visit Sacramento for an event at Golden 1 Center I'll most likely stay at this hotel, and would recommend it to anyone else going to Sacramento for an event at the Golden 1 Center. The staff everywhere within the hotel are warm, friendly, knowledgable, and wonderful.

The place and area was beautiful and clean. Convenient from Amtrak and great for walking areas. The tub kept dripping a little but can be fixed.

We did not try the breakfast , seems overpriced for average prepared food. The parking is a bit overpriced at $45 per day.

8 months ago it was free when we stayed Now they charge $35 a bike. Even if you park two in one space. Won’t be staying there again as long as this policy is enforced

Room was clean, however the coffee maker was dusty on the outside and when i placed a water in the canester, a lot of dust and debris came out floating.

The carpet and wallpaper in the room and hallway was a bit dated, and neither parking nor breakfast were included.

It was just ok. Booked for the convenience of location off the freeway and access to old downtown. I requested an upgrade to avoid the traffic noise off the freeway. There upgrade got us a room on the 11th floor with lots of freeway noise. Parking in their lot was $45 with an option to park in a nearby garage for $35. Staff was friendly and rooms were dated.

The place itself is located in a great location. However when checking in the Manager was absolutely Rude. It wasn’t a welcoming experience. I only stayed there because of a business trip and everywhere else was booked.

The road noise is so loud here, don't plan on sleeping. Our bed was absolutely horrible. You could feel the springs in it it was so broken down. $30 per person for breakfast in the restaurant for a continental breakfast with the same selections and quality that you get elsewhere for free. Definitely will not stay here again. The staff, however, was very friendly and attentive.

My only complaints would be that the window of our room was loose from the pane and we could hear outdoor noise really well; homeless people screaming at night, etc. Oh, the fridge didn't work either because it was plugged into a faulty power outlet. We had to move the coffee maker to make our coffee ;) But we figured it out. For one reason or another I didn't realize parking was an extra $35 per night.

We loved the location. It was right next to the Golden 1 Center where we were attending a concert. The Arena is part of a beautiful outdoor Mall that is only steps away from the hotel with many shops and yummy restaurants. The king sized bed was comfortable and the staff was super friendly. We would definitely recommend.

Upon check-in, the system was down, registration had a 30-minute wait and earlier, colleagues stated the line was to the door. Even though I was checked in, the wifi didn’t work. The next morning, the hot water didn’t work. When I returned in the evening, my key no longer worked and required a new one.

Not bad. Just an older hotel. They made the room as clean as possible, which I appreciated. Comfortable bed and bedding. The wall seemed very thin. I could hear the conversations of the neighboring room pretty much as clearly as if they were in the room with me (I fell asleep listening to the next door neighbor tell his friend all about the different country singers he likes and why).

. They did give me another room, but at 2am after hours of traveling, it was a huge hassle. There was no parking at the hotel, there is a garage in the area but that’s a long haul taking stuff back and forth to a car. I’m a female traveling alone so it wasn’t ideal. They do charge to park. So look for packages that include that. It is a short stroll from the coliseum, which means some cool stores and food. It also means it’s really loud. Late at night. The hotel itself has the worst soundproofing I’ve ever experienced and it was really awkward walking down the hallway with my nephew in the middle of the day listening to people enjoying their vacation, if you know what I mean. It was convenient being close to the venue, other than that it was not a good experience for me other than the STAFF. The coffee maker didn’t work in my room, they don’t have room service (despite it being an option on the room phone, yet another confusing thing here) so the girl at the front desk went to the restaurant and brought me a pot of coffee. That was one of the kindest acts I’ve come across in a while. The staff was all friendly and helpful. 10 stars for the staff!

Their parking situation is misleading, they show a picture of a parking lot right next to the hotel, but the reality was that it isa nightmare. I paid for parking when I booked. When I got there, they had sold out their parking lot to accommodate the Kings game and made me park in the garage, so I had to unload all my stuff drive to the fifth floor of a parking garage lock all the way back, added a half hour on coming and goingand on the way out I had to pay an additional $35. I should’ve not owed anything and I had my ticket validated at the front deskNobody cared. I think I i’m done with Holiday Inn in general, the Sacramento one for sure.

It wasn’t holiday inn fault since I always book through hotels . com. My grandma passed away this week and the process of getting refund with my insurance paid for as well was very difficult, we did not make our reservation due to making funeral and no refund was given. Overall great hotel but tough as a long time member for over 8 years for the website that I was not assisted further during this difficult time.

When I checked in the front desk associate didn't give me the full rundown on anything around the property. I never got a site map, any information about breakfast, where the laundry room was, nothing. We did check in around 10pm, but I'm surprised we didn't get that info. Anytime my husband and I called the front desk, most associates were short and not very friendly. Information posted does not corroborate information given, e.g. when I called down they said breakfast starts at 7:30am, but there is a sign near the bar area that says breakfast starts at 6:00am. The rooms were subpar at best. We like to stay at Holiday Inns because usually they are clean and well-kempt, the staff is usually nice, and breakfast is always included. There were so many different dusty areas in the room, the lights and vent in the bathroom, there was an exposed panel that looked like it was being worked on but the metal was never covered up and the dry wall looked like it wasn't finished. The blackout curtain had rips in it, and the window had a lock that was broken. The Cyprus Grille inside the hotel seems like it's only open for breakfast, and possibly also dinner but we never saw it open at that time. However, the hostess at the grill is sweet. The front desk associate that checked us out didn't even ask me how our stay was, and we noticed they had a different demeanor when they spoke with people in business suites, opposed to myself and my family. Very disappointed and don't recommend.

The location was perfect. It allowed us to walk to our destinations. It is perfectly located for Old Sacramento and the Golden 1 Center. The strafff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs and requests. The rooms were fine. The whole hotel could use a little update on rooms. On a whole the lobby was decorated nice and the ambience was perfect. The family enjoyed their stay. Thanks to the wonderful front desk, the bell hops, and manager who greeted us each day.

Had a room on the 8th floor this time around and loved it. From the front desk staff, to the housekeepers and other hotel in between are alwsys, polite and professional. This is one of my favorite places to stay when im visiting Sacramento. King bed with sofa nice and roomy, had a great view of all the coming and going from old sac. Less than 5-10 min walk to restaurants, Golden 1 center and K st where all the action happens!! The only negatives is that the hotel needs a makeover most of the rooms are old and dated other than that it’s a great hotel mid range 3 star!

Far too noisy, right off a loud highway. I asked the front desk person to put me in a room far away from the highway. She agreed but then when I went to the room they gave me, it was one room away from the highway. I responded back to them and was only given "Sorry" and not alternative. Rooms were also available. Hotel is old and not in great shape. Bright side was the Restaurant staff for breakfast was great! Also, it is a decent location as you can walk the tunnel to old sacramento...but that walk can be sketchy as there are homeless. It is very close and easy walk to the Golden 1 as well. However, I would not stay here again. Its not great nor good.

The staff was pleasant, our room was large and comfortable, and other than a broken entry door requiring walking around the building, it was a good place to stay for an event. Our bathtub was dirty, with loose dirt and possibly planting material scattered in the tub. The rest of the room was nice and clean. The restaurant was closed for the evening despite an event, so the small bar was the only place available for food and drink that evening, part of the time with only a sole bartender/waitress/server. We felt bad for her being so busy and on her own for a while.

Rooms were clean. Was a little disappointed that when we checked in we were asked to pay more for parking outside than in the garage and then when I went to park outside I noticed it was all only permitted parking. I parked and went back inside and asked if I needed a special permit to park and a new person (not the same person I checked in with) said oh yes you need a pass to hang in the window. Luckily I’m intelligent enough to inquire or we could have ticketed or towed. Why wasn’t I provided the pass when I checked in? Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

Attended the Brandon Lake concert at Golden One center in Sacramento. This hotel is the perfect place to stay when attending an event at Golden One. Walking distance to the arena. You can pay for parking with your hotel stay and not have to with traffic jams trying to leave your event.

The location and staff were great, you could walk to Golden 1 Center and many dinning options. The only small thing i would look foward to next time is soda and candy vending machines.

There was tons of little hairs all over the toilet when we got there which I took photos of, and both garbage in the room and bathroom still had garbage in them.

It’s no fault of the hotel, but we didn’t sleep at all. Everything else was great. Comfy beds, great food, very friendly staff. Not a ton of parking but we did snag a great spot.

The staff, however, was very polite. I was very bothered by paying $35 per night to park in the adjacent garage - especially when I discovered the daily max is $32 to pay directly.

Hotel is a bit outdated, could use an uplift. Carpets & drapes in room were very dirty. Liked that our room had a frig. Had to contact Housekeeping 3 times to get service. The one restaurant is open for breakfast until 10 but doesn't reopen until evening.

This property was great location to down town area

We booked a room that was supposed to be deluxe we got a tiny room with stained floors next to the elevator that we hear all night long. Housekeeping was the only good thing they came and brought more pillows and coffee and made the bed for us every day.

I didn't stay there for shopping so I can't comment on that. It was a nice hotel, spacious and modern with friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfast had only one option, which was a full cooked breakfast, which I didn't want and which was expensive. They should have smaller breakfast options, such as just a juice and a coffee and a bowl of cereal, which is all I wanted. The area is very convenient for being picked up and dropped off. I was not driving so I didn't have to pay parking, which also seemed expensive but then I'm a traveller from abroad. Perhaps that's the reasonable rate for that area.

I stayed at the holiday inn for a concert, the hotel is right around the corner from the golden 1 and in a safe area that’s close to shopping and other restaurants.

The pool was nice. Parking on the premises I did not like for $45.00. No breakfast included. Roller shade in room needs to be replaced. Shower faucet needed upgrading. HARD TO FIND HOTEL FROM THE GROUND, NO SIGNAGE, AND NAVIGATION PROGRAMS ARE NOT SURE WHERE THE FRONT OF THE LOBBY IS. Otherwise, It was not bad.

Convenient area if you are going to a concert or any event around downtown. Need new TV’s, and upgrade some furniture and coffee maker took forever. However , Beds are comfortable!

My room was great! But it did not have a microwave or refrigerator few overnight things that needed to be refrigerated. Everything was lovely, clean and easy to navigate. There was a parking ticket issue I checked with person at the front desk the following day was resolved easily. It is nice to be in a place that is clean and bright, and when things go awry are handled with skill and grace. My overall stay was very enjoyable and I look forward to staying there again.

The staff at the front desk (esp. Night shift) are very friendly! I like the location of this Holiday Inn branch because it is next to mall area and it is walking distance to restaurants.

The bed is okay. Parking is not $25 as advertised in Expedia. It’s either $35 (garage) or $45 (express — right in front of the lobby). I liked the location. Old Sacramento is right next door. Lots of dining options too. Breakfast buffet if okay ($29.95) and we tried it once. For the rest of our stay we went to Roots Coffee for breakfast. I will stay here again.

Access to old Sacramento is just walking distance. Plenty of shops and eateries are also walking distance! The athletics play just a mile a way which is very convenient, looking forward to staying here again!!

Came to an A’s game and the hotel is close to stadium. We’re also walking distance to the Sacramento River and Old Town! Such a convenient property. Clean property and very friendly staff.

The staff was very helpful when we were on site. I called ahead to find out the height restrictions for the parking garage and was told incorrect information. They thankfully I showed up early and there were still spots available in the parking lot

Hotel is older needs renovation. It's in downtown Sacramento so make sure you don't leave anything in your car that will tempt a break in. Our hotel room was clean, but the A/C unit was having issues and was extremely loud.

Over all I was impressed with this Holiday Inn and would stay here again. The location was hands down the best part the staff did a great job helping and assisting. Breakfast was better than decent ( buffet style ) bacon eggs sausage $25 pp 11 annd under eat for free. The hotel room was reasonably priced and comfortable enough.

I liked the hotel and the area, however , I didn’t feel safe going through the dark tunnel to the Old San Diego area. There were what seemed to be mentally challenged people and some homeless people there. Also, I turned around when some young teens were acting up . I was alone sonI decided to go back and stay in my room instead of venture out .

Just the best location for accessing both downtown and Old Sacramento, and both arenas. This is a great location, way better than I envisioned looking at the map. Hint, leave the hotel doors and turn left, versus right and you’ll have a brand new perspective on just how great this location is.

Rooms are bare. You can hear everything outside of the room even the streets and we’re on the 14th floor. We couldn’t get the tv to work and their channels are very limited. Parking is an extra fee. The towel wasn’t as clean, with some hair on it… the offsite parking was very hard to navigate where many of the spots are not allowed for overnight parking… the heater/AC was quite loud and wifi was pretty slow… I don’t think this is up to a standard Holiday Inn level

The location is convenient for walking to outdoor mall stores, food, old town, stadium, river front. The gym was useful, but pool ice cold and tiny. The hotel is a little outdated and lacks attention. It had a bit of motel vibe but provided a comfortable bed, clean bed linens, small fridge and coffee maker (with no water) was available. Did not care for the shower as the water kept changing to dangerous scalding hot every 2 minutes! The bathroom did not have conditioner or a handle to enter shower which would make it safer/comfortable, and the tv was so small we couldn’t watch it although there is an entire wall that could fit a larger screen. The staff was difficult to reach unfortunately but they were very friendly. However, when towels were delivered the person had smokers smell on their hands that was on the towels he delivered (gloves would help). Parking in public garage was ok but we felt it was safer to park where we could see our car from the hotel window. Overall, it was convenient and we slept well on clean beds, and we would stay again for convenience but not expect much more.

I reserved three rooms for my daughter’s graduation at Golden 1 arena. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at with doors having a 3 inch gap at the floor, water would not drain and a DJ playing music infill 11pm!

This used to be our go-to hotel when visiting the immediate area. Well, it has certainly taken a downturn. The adjacent shopping mall was anchored by Macy’s. Now, that’s bordered shut along with several other former stores/eateries. The hotel’s overall general condition is starting to show wear and tear. Several of the areas are cordoned off for no access. The small store on the ground floor selling snacks and gifts is now shuttered. Free bottled water at the front desk is now being offered for sale. Access to the nearby mall walkway is now blocked and there is only one way in and out. We will not be going here in the future. It’s sad but true.

Over booked blamed Expedia … has to book another room on the spot at another hotel… the thing is I called a head of time before I spent a few hours driving to Sacramento. I felt the desk staff was rude in their delivery of the news and did not even make an effort to win my future business. So about the call a head of time the desk staff said they had nothing to do with the reservation staff who answers the phone, but that makes no sense because they told me the type of room I had… it’s one thing to blame Expedia but another when it’s your actual team that works for you. I’ve stayed at this hotel before the best thing about it is it’s location why I picked this hotel but the hotel is old and dated.. the hotel I end up booking which was about the same rate was much better… thank you AC Hotel by Marriott

It was a really great experience. My partner and i stayed only one night, but overall i love and do plan on coming back again. The pool felt great, staff was amazing and was always helpful, great views, rooms were clean and cozy. The best thing was that everyone is within walking distance to the hotel. We walked over to the DOCO and also to Sutter Health Park, and it was great!

Incredibly convenient when attending an event at Golden One Center. Fairly clean. The people working at the reservation desk are amazing - great mood, friendly, fun - seems they like their job. This is the only Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at with no complimentary breakfast and that was a bummer. But it did make us venture out to the nice coffee shops nearby to avoid the $25 breakfast charge.

This was a fine place to stay a night or even a few. The TVs really need updating. There was no bell staff the evening when we checked in, but luggage carts were avaiable. The staff there was very nice.

Came here for a one night stay for a concert. Staff was friendly. When we got to our room it smelled like corn chips. It was clean as you can get it, just had an odor to it. The carpet was gross and old. It was wrinkled and needed to be stretched. The bed was comfortable. Had a good nights sleep which is what it was intended for.

Only downside to our stay was the shower tub was not cleaned.

I booked a room for the day after I actually needed it. That was my fault, and I totally understand that. the hotel said that they cannot change the reservation or refund me because they had not been paid by Expedia at that time. The hotel also said they would not charge me a cancellation fee or any penalties.I called Expedia they told me to rebook with them and they would refund me for the night that I didn’t need. The refund never happened so I was charged double for a room.

Worst choice for a hotel for this price. Staff at front desk unfriendly Lady that greeted us totally unfriendly and appeared unhappy doing her job (Linda). Also parking fees are outrageous $36.00 dollars a day. Parking limited and tight. No microwaves in rooms. Very noisy! Overpriced!

I understand that a hotel management is not directly responsible for the outside people who smoke weed and play music next to the hotel. From the other side 1. it is my experience 2. Hotel windows don't block external sounds at all. Hotel itself was fine, but it doesn't matter when you don't sleep at night.

Original popcorn ceiling in the main room, bathroom had been updated. The black mini fridge stacked on top of an old side table was quite the aesthetic view. Lots of highway traffic noise. The wallpaper looked like it needed to be replaced. A subtle must in the air. Glad my wife wasn’t with me. She’s very sensitive to odors. The curtains did not close for blackout, but the light always shine through the shears.

This place is a letdown for the cost, to be honest. Housekeeping service often left the room unclean, the towels were ripped, the shower curtain does not match the size of the shower, and the desk chair was peeling and in terrible condition. Overall, the room felt really dirty. Also, the room I was given was extremely loud at all hours of the night. The room faces DOCO, and the noise coming from the escalators is pretty intense! You can even hear it through earplugs. Also, one night, someone started powerwashing the sidewalk at 11:55pm. Good luck sleeping if you book this place!

The location was only two blocks from Golden 1 Arena and a short walk to Sutter Health Ballpark. Golden 1 offered many eating choices.

This is an old hotel with limited dining facilities. The rooms don't have safes and not all rooms have refrigerators. However, the hotel staff is very accomodating so that made our stay enjoyable. Also, the hotel is in a perfect location, next to Old Sac, the Golden One Center, and many stores. It is also next to the freeways so you can get easily get around the city.

There were no restrooms available before check in. We had just had a long drive and had to wait until we checked in. This was a change from the last time we were here and will look for other hotel ootuons.

We had a poor experience with the hotel manager as he denied a cancellation even though we made the request in advance and had a family emergency. Hotels.com—who were super supportive—contacted the hotel and they agreed to provide a refund. However, the hotel manager denied the refund or even credit to be used at a later date. We just cannot recommend an establishment who reversed another employees decision and doesn’t seem to care about their customers.
