The bed was generally comfortable. Water pressure in shower decent. Freeway noise all night, old stained rugs & upholstery, chipping furniture, noisy poorly functioning A/C, torn comforter with stuffing coming out, peeling wallpaper, shower controller to turn on water was broken & required a lot of finagling to turn water on/off. Basically paid for a bed that was meh.

Conveniently located. The staff was nice. The hotel is due for a makeover. The bed was okay. The furniture was old and looked dirty and office chair material was torn. The wallpaper was coming off the wall. The shower curtain pole was loose. The coffee pot was missing a part. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient.

We love the location and how everything was right next to us, including the bus. Stop to get around town a very convenient. We felt very safe and welcomed. We will totally be back.

Close to meeting location Room too close to elevator. Had to ask for a plunger for the toilet. Someone was picking up guests in a van and parked so close to the door it was difficult to get out the door to get out to my car. Also paid all kinds of taxes for each day. And at the bottom of the receipt it appears that they taxed the taxes. Will not stay here again.

We let the front desk know that the bathroom fan didn't work and he immediately made a note to get it fixed and thanked us for letting him know. Very nice staff!

I requested cleaning service & they never went. We needed supplies & they NEVER sent anyone & I told them the toilet was clogged, they mentioned they would send someone to check it out but again NO One Ever showed up nor unclogged the toilet. The service at this hotel is terrible but other than that everything else is okay.

The food was terrible the staff was unhelpful and distant and the beds were so uncomfortable I’d rather sleep on the floor!

Low rates...tolerance for group meetings and hangouts in common areas. Staff was never available. Every time I needed something...and this happened multiple times since out keycard was repeadedly misprogrammed...no one was at the main desk. Staff was always ourside either on the phone, smpking, chatting with other staff, or...it appeared...having a drink.

Weird smell, breakfast room and meeting room was too small for size of hotel. Carpets were dirty. Staff was nice and helpful.

Due to the old carpet, there was some musty smell. There was small damage to the carpet where some sharp pins were exposed. Otherwise, it was a pretty good place to stay overnight.

If you’re sensitive to strong, perfumy scents, this is not the hotel for you. There are multiple air fresheners throughout the hallways that spray frequently. There was even one that spreyed in the elevator. While there weren’t any air fresheners plugged into the rooms themselves, a strong fragrance would rush in every time the door was opened. Simply walking from my room to the car made my eyes water and triggered an immediate migraine.

Generally the place is good. Easy access off the freeway, parking is good, and the breakfast is sufficient. The only drawback is all the smell of pot. The property is non-smoking, but I suppose the pot heads think it doesn’t apply to them.

Hotel room was dirty. Our socks were black from how dirty the floor was. We found pizza crust in our pull out bed. We let the front desk know and they said they’d make note of it and completely ignored my complaint. Stated smoke free hotel but our whole floor smelt like weed and cigarettes. If we didn’t check in so late at night and didn’t have 3 exhausted kids we would have left. Asked for a refund and they are ignoring the request.

More importantly, the staff did not respect guests booked through the 3rd party sites. When I checked in, the front desk staff named "Hope" gave me a room closest to the public restroom at the 1st floor. I did not complain. But the room had a broken curtain and the toilet failed to flash. I went back to Hope, asking for a room change. She told me that all rooms booked out and she was restricted to get an alternative room for me as we booked through the 3rd party. She mentioned several times -- " we do not encourage guests to book through other places. This give me no option for room change." She initially told me to wait until next morning when a worker could come to fix the toilet. However, there was no way to stay in a room without toilet. Then she went back to the front desk unhappily, saying "I will see what I can do." In 5 mins, she told me that she got a different room for me in 4th floor. While it was actually the same room option of my booking. Why she told me earlier that there was no other room available? The new room we were given was right besides the stairs. Due to the broken elevator, the stairs door was slammed the whole night. The door could not fully closed. You could clearly see the gap (see photo).

The room was clean, hotel nice, but the rooms next to thw road are so noisy. Also was next to the pool anf stairwell which made for no sleep until late. I would stay again, but not in any room next to the road or pool. The staff was nice.

Hotel sits at busy intersection. Had to change rooms due to remote not working. Hot breakfast was terrible. Key cards are old slide in type that you have to have one way. Light on hair dryer that you can't turn off. Staff was nice, no issues there.

The room I rented said roll in shower. I am disabled and so is the person I was traveling with so we were looking to get into a place that had a roll in shower so that we could just walk in the shower because I have a hard time, lifting my legs up to get into a shower with a tub. The lady tried to tell me that I did not rent a room that way and I have a receipt that says that I did, but she wasn't honoring it, but it was not good. Plus I realize that some people are shorter than others and if this is an accessible room, the bed was very high. It would've been hard for anybody in a wheelchair or anything to getup on when the heater came on in the room soon after there was another big noise that came along with it and so that was very distracting for the night we only had one washcloth in the room and I think two towels for two people.

Staff were great. We had an issue with our shower knob, they arrived when they said to fix. Made arrangements for us to utilize a nearby room to shower.

The good part...that it's cheap and we had good amount of room with 4 kids in a suite. But! The reality is that the building is run down and is in desperate of renovation. Staff was overall nice.

Rooms were very outdated and need remodeling. The breakfast has very limited options and they had a hard time keeping the 2 options filled. My daughter didn’t get to eat very much because the containers were empty. They definitely need more help in their busy weekends for the breakfast shift.

Location was convenient to the college we were visiting. Area was a bit industrial but it was only for two nights and our time was spent at the college so it wasn’t a concern. There were enough food options nearby. Check in was easy with friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t very strong, pool looked like the bottom hadn’t been scrubbed regularly, and breakfast was ok. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels with free breakfasts and the quality here wasn’t that great. The coffee was weak, no hot chocolate (to my daughter’s dismay), and the hot options were minimal and really not that good. My son did enjoy their waffle maker. Overall, I would stay here again but just wouldn’t eat their breakfast.

I like the convenience of the hotel. The location is convenient to almost everything, but it was kind of noisy. I had a hard time sleeping. The traffic was noisy and people getting up early in the morning and slamming doors all down the hallway and running down the hallway at 6 o’clock in the morning kind of bummed me out because I usually like to stay at this hotel

I think the hotel needs to be remodeled. The carpet was disgusting the room was smelly. The lady at the front desk was nice .

After reserving a room three months in advance, I had a late check in due to a flight delay. The night shift clerk on duty (Mark) was borderline rude and entirely incompetent. He was unable to get the key to register so I was checked into a room without key access until the next day ( he thought it was the lock, but it was not) and I felt a bit like a prisoner.. The room smelled musty, the furniture was worn and torn ( both the armchair and the desk chair), the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off and the place generally needed a facelift. I had a long stay (25 days) and for almost $4,000, I expected better. On a brighter side, the rest of the staff (Manager - Michael, day shift desk clerk - Daniel, & Maintenance - Tim) were all pleasant and professional. My son stayed there in the spring and thought it was fine (and he is discerning) which is why I canceled reservations at another place and booked the Comfort Inn. It was mistake I'm sorry to say.

I was on a business trip. The staff was friendly and professional. It’s an older facility, but they take good care of it. It had limited breakfast choices, but they were sufficient. Easy on and off the freeway access

The room was clean and comfortable and the price was good. The noise insulation in the room was not very good and you could constantly hear things outside your room very clearly. The breakfast was pretty disappointing.

This facility was not horrible but I am not sure I would stay again. The location was close to the freeway which was nice. As you walk in, the lobby has a very musty smell, the elevator smelt like oatmeal and the hallway (second floor) smelt like cigarettes. The room itself was nicer than the rest of the facility. When I checked in I was informed that check-out was at 11:00am. At 9:45am we heard a knock at the door and then the lock began to open. To my surprise the housekeeper (and even though I had the "Do not Disturb" sign on the door) was beginning to come in. Once I told her we were not ready to leave yet she began to move to another room. Than less then 30 minutes later it happened again. We were ready to leave but were killing time since we didn't have another appointment until after 11 I just didn't want to wait outside versus in the room. I informed the front desk and they looked up who the cleaner was and didn't seem surprised. It was unsettling. Overall it was fine for our short stay but for anyone looking for a relaxing multi-night stay I would recommend maybe looking somewhere else.

We've stayed here a few times. While it's not the best neighborhood, it's a good "base" for adventures to Silver Falls State Park, Oregon Garden, and other sights. Across I-5 on Lancaster Avenue there's lots of shops and restaurants. The only thing is that we would like more towels in the room. There's one hand, bath, and washcloth per person. Two bath towels would be nice. Our room was clean, linens and bedding good quality, and I didn't feel like I had to use wet wipes all over! Breakfast was plentiful. We'll be returning again.

Once we checked in, staff were rude and dismissive, ignoring basic requests and treating our group unfairly. Worse, other guests were drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes directly under the covered entrance, where families had to walk through, with no staff intervening or providing a safe, respectful environment. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience—it was a failure in basic hospitality. I will not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone visiting Salem. I hope management and corporate leadership take these concerns seriously.

The location of this property was ideal being right off the interstate and near grocery stores. It is tucked away in the back which can be a tad tricky, but there is a seafood restaurant right next door which was very good! The lobby smells of cigarette smoke and its a bit outdated. However, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming.

We were there for almost a month and it was very pleasant. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Has keeping was awesome, even offering a pillow case for my wife's personal pillows. Breakfast was good but was always the same thing, maybe shake it up a bit would be good.

I reserved the room on 3/19/25, for the 21st and 22nd. I arrived on 3/21/25. I checked in, the room was horrible. I contacted the front desk and asked to cancel my reservations because the room was filthy. the lady at the front desk said that she did not have the authority to cancel but would speak to the manager, who was not onsite. Front desk called me back within 15 minutes and said that the manage would not cancel my reservation because it requires a 48-hour notice, I explained to her that I had made my reservation less than 48 hours ago. that did not matter, so my wife and I left without a refund and rented a room at a different hotel. I will never stay in a comfort inn again.

The staff was absolutely amazing and the only reason I stayed for 2 of the 3 nights, we left the last night to stay at another resort. The hotel itself needs updating. Our first room shower was broken so needed to use a bucket to shower, they let us move and 2nd room the AC was broken so no heater and it was freezing.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable beds. The heater/wall air conditioner from the inside was damaged hard to turn heat! The breakfast was terrible. There were no options for food. It was sausage patties and eggs with waffles of course. I am used to a few good options for breakfast especially traveling with kids. That was really the only disappointment.

Very aged and minimal. There should be after 10pm over 18 pool hours. The breakfast was pretty underwhelming. At least there were waffles, but no peanut butter for toast, no bagels, and horrible microwaved “fried eggs”. All of the people that worked there were very nice. I think it was pretty clean, it was just so old everything looked dingy. Essentially you pay for what you get here. It was not horrible, just not awesome.

Paid way too much for the quality and condition. At half the price it was unacceptable. The room smelled like cigarettes, even though it's no smoking. The gal at the counter was awesome, and was able to find some spray to neutralize the smell. (She was the only bright point in the whole experience.) But since it was busy with check ins I had to go spray it myself and return when done. Later on realized it was in the walls by the door. They are a fabric like wallpaper and it's probably picked up every odor in the 30 years since it was installed. The tub and bath floor show signs of lack of proper cleaning. The room phone probably hasn't been cleaned since it was installed. No idea what was on it, but I refused to touch it or tv remote. There were stains on the walls by the trash cans. Unused towels need to be changed out along with used. The first bath towel had what looked like dead bugs in 2 spots, usually because they have been on the shelf for two long. Bed, pillow and sheets seemed clean. Housekeeping is the most important factor in a hotel. This place needs to either train staff better or pay them enough to do the job properly, and with what I paid the $ is there to do both. It was almost what Holiday Inn would have been, only reason I didn't go there is it was full. They are significantly cleaner and better maintained. Only reason we continued our stay is my kiddo was too tired to move to another hotel.

This was our first time to the area(state). Little did we know that the Ironman Competition was in town also. There were not many hotels to choose from. At $400 a night(jacked up because of the competition), this place was a dump. The employees were nice but outside of that, the carpet was old, stained, and SO smelly. The elevator smelled like a locker room. Like it was mopped with dirty water, if at all. It took two days for the air to cool down our room so we all slept with no covers because it was so hot. (We were only staying two days) I dare anyone over 200lbs to shower in the tub in room 306 because the floor is definitely broken underneath the plastic bath fitter. Price does not reflect the upgrades this hotel needs.

Stayed for a couple of nights while at a softball tournament. This hotel is bed to lay your head at best. The breakfast horrible and looked like it came right out of the microwave. There is next to no parking, I arrived back late on my second night there and wasn’t able to find a spot. The hotel told me I could park in the back of the restaurant’s lot next door, about a half block away. When I expressed my frustrations about parking somewhere else when I had already paid for the room, I was told there isn’t anything they could do. Why should I be forced to park a block away when spending almost 250$ a night for a crap hotel? I will never stay at another Comfort Inn for the rest of my days. My truck bed would have been more comfortable.

The bed and pillows were soft & comfortable. We had to leave early the next morning so unfortunately I don’t know about the shower (water pressure). I would stay there again.
