Great for kids! They even provided a rollaway bed for my son! Both boys had their own bed.

Room didn't feel clean. Fridge smelled like mildew.

Room =carpet had wet spots, large dark spots, wine maybe but dark red areas, filthy, strong smell of dog. Bathroom= toilet had several hairs on the seat. We did have Clorox wipes and cleaned the seat ourselves. We were disappointed, staff notified but no follow up at this point. It’s been a week since our stay. Overpriced for condition of room.

Super expensive

The room was clean and quite except the road noise. They charge an extra $100 when you get there for a “deposit”. It was not disclosed and they didn’t want to offer a receipt for it. I still haven’t received my deposit and have to contact my credit card company. There was no information about the room and no one told us what the check out was and when we asked the clerk didn’t know. We decided to have th me breakfast and do not recommend it. Once seated we were asked several times what we wanted to drink even though we already told them. Our breakfast of 4 plates took 45 minutes. No service manners from the staff. After we ate we sat having coffee and could tell the staff was annoyed even though no one was waiting for us. Plan on spending 20+ for each plate.

The people were all very nice. Always smiling and accommodating. Broken furniture in the room. A clogged bathroom sink, very slow to drain. Almost ran out of toilet paper, there were no un-opened extra rolls in the room and we were only there 1 night.

There was supposed to be breakfast provided, there was but it was $35 for 2 people. There was no sign stating this & it was as so not worth that amount:

I'm really disappointed by the Holiday Inn. I accidentally scheduled a room on the wrong date. When I realized my error, within the same day, I asked if I could update the date. I was told that I couldn't because I purchased a non-refundable price rate. There are many other hotel options and the next time I book, I will not use Holiday Inn.

We did not have a breakfast voucher so the menu was snatched from my husband’s hand and he was given a menu for the less fortunate people who did not have vouchers. Husband said the eggs Benedict was the worst he has ever had. The location is off the freeway for easy access and there is a pot shop directly across the street for easy access to your weed. Very seedy area. Would not recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located to several tourist attractions. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Stopped in Salem for the night on my way back from Redding Ca then on to Vancouver BC. Very nice property. My room was huge very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a good choice for my stay

No breakfast. No coffee. You must sit down at reastaurant table even just for coffee. Bar closed. Pool was dirty. In training at the front desk, but friendly. Walls and ceiling are old and creaky. I could hear the person above me walking around.

Our room was very clean and inviting. It was also easy to get to the area from the freeway and quiet at night. The Capitol City Grill has excellent food with generous servings. The breakfast was terrific, well worth the money and you can eat in your room. It is also pet friendly with a designated potty area. We'll stay here again when in the area. It has everything we need at a reasonable rate.

Had a wonderful one night stay.

The place was very clean and the people were very friendly and it was close to several restaurants in the area. However, when I did not like was, I was told that breakfast was included with the stay, but when I got there, they told me that I needed a coupon which they did not provide me with because I went through Expedia, which then they told me that the hotel still was supposed to provide me with the coupon for my stay. I found that very odd if breakfast wasn’t included, they should just say that.

An excellent stay, nice clean room with plenty of space, comfortable bed, great bathroom with hot water and terrrific showerhead, plenty of amenities with fantastic coffee in room and a wonderful breakfast at fair price that we brought back to the room. Only problem was noisy traffic from Market street. Staff was outstanding!!!

I had a time staying there. They were really friendly customer service. The room was perfect asking for towels and stuff that I needed for my room. Everything the bathroom the place was amazing. It was quiet and it’s really nice place to stay if you guys going for work for vacation it has a nice place to stay with.

The staff was nice. But I had asked for a room on the top floor and was given a room on the 2nd floor. We had a barking dog across the hall from us, kids running up and down the halls having a nerf fight, and the running from the floor above us was ridiculous. The running above was heard all evening and again at 12:30 AM & 2:30 AM I don’t know where these parents were but they sure didn’t have any consideration for other hotel guests!

Bed was it made when I got there even thought I was told it was ready. Amenities, at least offer coffee in the lobby Ike most places.

Small but nice room. Good parking. Nice staff. We were on the tgurd floor and it took about 20 min for the shower to hest up. Also we could hear doors xlosing and people walking through the night. A speaker and white noise app help.

Everything was fine except house keeping. Even when I requested my room cleaned it wasn’t done several times. My refrigerator when I got there was dirty. I had to bring in my own cleaning supplies to clean my room. For the price breakfast and your room should be cleaned.

For a limited stay this location is serviceable and the room was great. A few issues were that the walls were paper thin and we could hear our rowdy neighbors partying through the night. Usually not an issue but when you have a flight at 5am this definitely doesn't help. The next problem is that there is no free breakfast of any kind. You are forced to purchase breakfast from the restaurant on site which admittedly is a good restaurant but some free little options wouldn't have hurt.

Room was very clean and up to date. Window HVAC unit was a little loud as well as street noise was at times distracting (my room was closer to I-5 than some). Service was friendly. Lobby was up to date and clean. Would stay here again in Salem.

I am pretty upset that I got charged 100 upon check in and i have not received my refund. I don't agree with having to pay for parking when the lot is not secure and there is no way to tell the difference between someone who paid and someone who didnt - what is the purpose of charging me 100 upon checkin and not give it back when i check out

We were given coupons to use for breakfast at the restaurant but we slept through the deadline so I can’t report on the food.

Our room was mostly clean, though it had a weird smell and several mystery hairs in the bed which made me think the sheets weren’t changed. The shower had several stains and hairs as well. It was last minute so we couldn’t change hotels otherwise I would have.

Our tub wouldn’t drain correctly. The service didn’t come at all on Sunday, we weren’t even in the room but the towels needed replacing and the garbage was overflowing. We got back later in the evening to none of it done. Don’t recommend the restaurant attached. We waited over an hour for our easy food to have the manager lie to us it was on the way, to the waitress saying a table was ahead of us making it over an hour wait for very few people in the restaurant. I was so upset ( didn’t cause a seen ) asked to have it boxed to head to our room. The manager and waitress were speaking Spanish and staring at us. I felt very uncomfortable about what they were saying about us. Didn’t go back even though we paid the “ extra “ with our 4 day reservation for the breakfast. I won’t be staying here again.

When I checked in there I got the only room available so set the front desk staff. I go up to the room. The room smells super musty, very dank and dirty. Then on top of that right almost smack dab in the middle of the bed is a big hairball so I went back downstairs. I asked him if there's another room. They said that was the only one. I told him that room was unacceptable so I didn't even stay at that room. I didn't even stay at the facility yet. I did pay so I still need a refund

Got put in a dirty room, they switched me rooms after I let them know the beds weren’t made and the trash was full of beer cans. We didn’t get any apologies or any compensation for inconvenience. We ate dinner there on site we ordered two of the same items but didn’t ask both if we wanted sauces and then they forgot the au juice on one only and when asked about it they acted like they didn’t know. Food overall wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t go unless your to tired to go out

The room was fine and quiet! The bed was very comfy. Usually stay at properties with free breakfast (limited dining hours & not free).

Parking is convenient, the surrounding environment is quiet, the hotel is safe and clean, the front desk service is efficient, and the overall feeling is good.

Had to ask for shampoo and lotion. Few things weren't cleaned. Some of the fixtures were falling off. Weird area where sink was- no hooks or bars to hold toiletries. I would have expected better.

Helpful suggestion from reception was order a food delivery!!! While opening facilities is beyond his control this did not sit well

Friendly staff and clean. Bathroom could have been little nicer. Fan didn’t work. That and bed was a little stiff compared to what I’m used to. But that’s all nitpicking. I would stay here again.

Room was big and bed was comfy. Pillows suck and no cushion. Closet had leftover cheese and sausages, faucet was dirty from the back and tub can be scrubbed to make it whiter. Its nearby food restaurants though.

Despite being surrounded on all sides by homeless the hotel itself stands out being a clean beacon where I can safely rest my head. Only a few nearby restaurants worth checking out it served me perfectly well for my limited stay in Oregon.

Luring coffee maker was nasty with mold

Also a lot of confusion about the breakfast. Because I reserved through a “third party” (Expedia), they weren’t going to offer discounted breakfast. Went across the street to a lovely place called the “Sassy Onion” though. Ultimately seems like management is trying to cut corners and being shady about it.

This was a nice hotel. The breakfast isn't included but we'd paid for it beforehand. Unfortunately, he couldn't find that we had but then he finally did. So that was a little unnerving. The restaurant that served the breakfast was very nice and we had a good breakfast. The facility was nice and clean.

Quick stop on our way south. Clean comfortable and easy on and off.

I arrived around 11:30 from Atlanta where it was already three hours later. I needed a good night's sleep. There were no room darkening shades on the window, so I was only able to sleep until 5:30 when the sun awakened me. The keurig was on top of the microwave, and I had to move it down to the counter so I could see how and where to add the water. It should be on the counter instead of the ice bucket.

Stayed 5 days , it was nice and the parking was easy . They also have an indoor pool and an ok gym .

It was clean and the staff were all friendly, but the "lobby person" who came up to help us had terrible body odor. Our bed was too stiff, and the tv remote wouldn't function properly so we only had one station option and they couldn't figure out how to fix it. The air unit was very loud, and something else kept kicking off and on throughout the night that was very loud as well and woke us up repeatedly. I expected better for the cost. We don't plan to stay here again.

Liked the location just off the interstate. Quiet AC. A few carpet issues and stomping other guest were just minor nuisances.

The area was ok, the room was clean and comfortable. No free breakfast, but they do offer a restaurant where you can order breakfast. We chose to eat off site, so I can’t comment on that. The gentleman who was working the desk could use a little training on greeting customers with a pleasant disposition. He wasn’t rude or anything, just not very outgoing.

They have a sit down in hotel restaurant but not everyone has the timr for that, plus not wanting to drop $20 or more at every meal. Just a quick grab and go. I do like how pet friendy they are

I got the double queen room and on our 2nd night, we came back to the room ant there was ants all over one of the nightstands. I called the front desk about the issue and they brought me Lysol wipes and sent the maintenance guy up to our room. All he did was looked and said “well I can’t spray for ants with you in the room”. I went to talk with the front seat and they said that the only rooms available were their pet friendly rooms. Well I’m not moving my kids into a pet room if the non pet room has ants. I wasn’t about to get flees. So they didn’t do anything to fix the problem they just gave me Lysol wipes and told me to wipe things down. Crazy, like I’m the maid service. The pool was cold and had way too many chemicals in it. Also there was a little league baseball team that stayed in the hotel as well and they turned the pool into a zoo. My kids couldn’t even swim without getting jumped on, or having the little boys hitting on them. Their parents just sat there watching, drinking their mixed drinks. What a joke. And and not to mention the restaurant, I paid extra for breakfast, so on the first morning I was able to order French toast, bacon, eggs for one meal with a drink and the second meal was pancakes with bacon, eggs and a drink. On the second morning they said I couldn’t order that again and said there’s a separate menu for the breakfast that you get with your room. $20 gets you a cheese omelette, bagel, a scoop of yogurt and granola plus old fruit. DO NOT STAY HERE

My stay here was absolutely amazing! The staff was very friendly and everything was best and tidy. The restaurant inside served delicious food and was very kind in preparing it for me to eat in my room.

Overall it was a decent experience. The staff was not always friendly but overall they were okay. There was a gentlemen at the desk who was extremely friendly and helpful but two women were not very kind to us. We had a special needs child with us who makes noises involuntarily but they still continually told us to keep him quiet. The water pressure in the shower was absolutely horrible. The room was nice but we paid for complimentary breakfast but at the last minute was told that we did not get breakfast. It was a decent stay, the pool was nice but the staff could use some retraining.

We loved everything about this stay . . Except 2 things. The shower head was horrible. I simply couldn’t get the shampoo rinsed out. Also, the complimentary breakfast was excellent except: why did I have to pay $3.00 for a cup of tea? Coffee for my husband was free, juices were free, but a stupid cup of hot water and a teabag cost me.

Area surrounding hotel was suspicious

My room was cleaned. However I had black curly hairs inside the bed and stains on my pillow cases. I did have a guy change them which was nice and was told the static from my sheets attracted the hair of the house keeper but assured me the room was clean. I have blonde hair so these were not mine.

Room was mediocre. Heater didn’t work correctly and wall paper was peeling off the bathroom wall. Seems the floor we were on must have had a leak as week because they had a couple large dehumidifiers occupying part of the hallway along with the hoses to them. The bed was comfortable .

Was staying Salem for a dog show. The room was just fine, but too much $$ to pay for just a regular room for ONE night, plus another $25 for the dog, and had to pay for breakfast and was only allowed ONE drink, so coffee, but no juice...won't stay here again; rather stay with continental breakfast that's free.

Booked this hotel for the convenience and prior reviews. Great staff service and friendliness however, wished the front desk told us there would be no housekeeping, as it was not clearly communicated until we can a small sign in the room. Very clean hotel and would recommend for short stays.

It was average, pretty typical. Front desk staff was fine. Room was a bit smaller than typical room these days. But no real problems. I did appreciate the elevator being easily accessed in the main lobby instead of having to walk down a hallway to find it.

The TV in the room would not work. Lobby attendant did not have extra batteries for remote and no one available to check it out. After we had dinner came back at 8 and found out that pool closed. The female at counter and bartender were very friendly.

Not overly impressed with the room itself - shower for needed a good scrubbing (looked like water stain buildup), annoyed that only one soap was provided so had to remember to grab it to go between shower and sink, very noisy room (road noise). We've stayed at this hotel a number of times and know this to not be the usual. The staff are AWESOME and very WELCOMING!

The workout room and pool looked ok, but didn't use. The sheets were old so at times you just need to get rid of them you know. A damp cold feeling in the room. There was crumbs around the bed in the room did not look like you had been vacuumed.

We have been to this hotel before while attending tournaments in the area. It is always well maintained and we are greeted and served by a friendly staff.

When I arrived, I was so exhausted that I don't even remember if my room had a window. I don't think it did. I cared about being able to relax and get a good night's sleep. I achieved that with the spacious, comfy bed, with heavy quilting and thick pillows. The shower amenities were great quality soap, shampoo, conditioner, and location. The couch was comfortable, and there was a small table that I could pull to the couch. While breakfast was not complimentary, when I booked the room, I added breakfast for $10 per person. I enjoyed my french toast with bacon, eggs, and juice. I would stay here again.

The stay was good, however when we booked the room we had 4 people and we paid 10 to include two more breakfast or that was our understanding and then after we ate breakfast and gave them voucher, they then told us that what we ordered wasn’t part of the offer, but we were not informed prior, they did honor it, but not without an argument, putting us in a bad position

Holiday Inn , I feel is always a safe choice and this one delivered. We had trouble with the cable and the maintenance guy was there in an instant and fixed it. He was very nice and well mannered. It was clean and spacious. The only problem we had was the floor above us was making a racket at 2:00 am. Not as if they were partying but more like moving furniture . It kept us awake for a good hour. Staff said there was nothing going on like renovations. I think it was a good ne off occurrence and will continue to think of Holiday Inn as a good choice.

It's a very nice facility- love the common areas, the workout room, the pool. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room was smallish but clean and comfortable. The only issue I had is that apparently they do not provide cleaning or re-stocking of the room unless you request it. I had to flag down the housekeeper to request trash removal and re-stock of towels, coffee pods, toilet paper. She immediately put me on the schedule for later in the afternoon so it worked out fine. But it would have been helpful to have this information at check-in. Or they could put a sign or placard in the room instructing one how to get housekeeping service.
