What we really enjoyed was the super friendly staff. Everyone we met at front desk was nice and helpful. They would ask us how our day was daily, and gave us helpful tips on places to eat/see. Also, there’s some board games you can borrow and that made our nights so much more fun.

Thankful for the heads up about the recent hike in car breaking. Visible police presence was appreciated.

Nothing fancy, nice beds, had everything we needed. Clerk at check in was very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay there. The hotel was clean and had a full kitchen. However, I felt there was a lack of hot water when I took a shower, and I do wish that they offered continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly also, and I will definitely stay there again if I travel back to Texas.

I love this hotel and I love these people that run the hotel. They are truly family friendly down-to-earth. And can make anything right? The rooms of newly been remodeled, and they're quite a bit of regulars and long stay folk that reside here and make it feel very homey. I like the parking situation as it's safe and secure. They have security on-site and there's a little woodrows across the street, which makes it nice for going out for a drink. And you're really close to lock and terra utsa as well as almo ranch

Door didn’t close properly

Location Didn’t like it, didn’t feel comfortable there, the internet was super slow, breakfast was not fresh.

The greeting from the manager at check in. Our room was very old, dated. The tub was rusted and not acceptable to use.

Very convenient for us. No complaints.

Front desk was great

There was no access to the gym at all. A smelly dirty laundry room right off the gym. The entire lobby and gym is covered in renovation materials. We want some sort of partial refund.

Location Ants in the room. Refrigerator sounded like a Mack truck. Room falling apart. Probe under renovations but no mention of that at time of booking. Voiced my concerns and they gave me a whopping $5/night discount. What a joke!!!

Everything went well except, hotels.com left out the part that the hotel was in full remodeling mode. The whole lobby was packed with boxes, there was no available room or office space to take a zoom meeting and the gym was unavailable due to the remodeling. The TV inside the room was an old scool model with a DVD Player. The bed was a Double sized bed instead of a queen. Again, I want to reiterate that everything would have been fine if we were rold about this before.

Dead bugs in bed,key card didn’t work. They resolved the issue sometime later. the room wasn’t very clean, asked for a refund to cancel my stay and was denied. We decided to leave instead of staying in a dirty unsanitary place.

Yes, the kitchen is excellent, I couldnt enjoy the pool, it looks clean anyway.

We stayed a total of 5 days, the first 3 nights were great then our room got flooded so they moved us to a smaller room where the ac didn't work so we went to let them know and we were moved again to another room, i wish they woulve compensated something for downgrading us to smaller rooms. The staff were nice and the area was nice too.

Staff was awesome and despite the construction, they managed to keep the Hotel clean.

It was a hotel under repair. This should have been mentioned as gym closed, no breakfast offered, broken coffee machine. We are 7 weeks on the road and stay at hotels every night. Hope this will improve once renovations are complete.

Room was satisfactory and staff were friendly and accomodating. Shower curtain would not stay inside tub, so water was all over the floor when I got out. Could not ever connect to the 'free' wifi, even with the instructions provided.

Aside from this, the hotel was very nice, quiet and friendly. The bed was a little too firm for my liking.

I completely understand hotel’s need construction. I was not made aware till after I checked in. No way possible I could do my meetings because it was so loud. They replaced my curtains and left drywall dust everywhere and all over the bed. I took the towels off and was assured it would be cleaned only to come back to nothing. The sink. And dishwasher didn’t work and they never came to fix it. Ice make didn’t work in freezer either. Made no attempt to fix this. Watch out for the rusty nails everywhere from the construction.

The room was clean however the comforter and the cover were dirty and had studying in them. The next morning I was great m greeted by a roach in the kitchen. Not happy.

Decent facility. Stan was at the front desk when we checked in and was a pleasure to deal with! Only one nightstand.

The room was fine, it was nice to have the small kitchen. They are planning renovations, so it is a bit worn but was completely functional and clean. We would stay again.

Wonderful stay

Rooms were great, spacious enough to put a airmatress . It has a fridge/ stove, microwave.. with some pans utensil and plates. Only thing we found a weird bug in the sink the 1st night. Other than that is was great.

They over booked and even though I reserved the room 2 weeks in advance when we arrived to check in we was sent to another hotel way out of the area that we needed to be in.

Staff was immediately responsive to any request. Very Friendly and helpful. Room stayed nice a cool. Pool was clean. Free use of washer and dryer. Roaches in my room. Facility old and outdated. Mold in bathroom floor grout. Kitchen floor peeling and would catch on my feet if I shuffled them. Food out sofa couch was curling up on the sides. Had to be switched to a new room bc of roaches. Moved me to a room with fewer beds. TV was hard to manipulate. No breakfast served. Parking lot was somewhat difficult to navigate.

I did not like 50.00 security deposit.

Bathtub would not drain. Furniture was stained. Check-in time was 3 o'clock and we had an event at 3. Would not allow us to check in 30 minutes early to get ready. Not very accommodating.

Roaches in the first room, then dirty unmade room on the second attempt. One resident had 3 dogs living in the suite! Not again!

Nice staff

Had to move my room three times so I got a TV that works and then I wake up to know hot water. But it’s not worth saying anything because I was checking out after three days. I have been there several times before I never had an issue.

The front desk lady was rude. They had a power outage (obviously not their fault) and I had some questions and she just interrupted me and said I didn’t have to stay there if I didn’t want to and that wasn’t her problem. Over all terrible experience and will not be staying there ever again.

Stayed here with couple members of wedding party night before wedding. Staff friendly, beds comfy, room spacious. Only 2 things I would suggest to make better is shower is horrible and surprised they don't offer breakfast

This hotel needs updating and a good cleaning. The hallways are dirty, and my room reeked with a strong odor of cleaning supplies and/or air freshener. The parking lot is small.

Good for the money.

I know people are careless, but the litter (bags, beer bottles and cans, water bottles) could be picked up outside more often. I do wish people wouldn't be so careless but it is what it is. Also the room key situation needs to be fixed. I had to have my room key rescanned multiple times. But staff was super friendly and helpful.

Did not meet my expectations. The room had 1 kitchen type chair that was not comfortable to sit it. My daughter had asked the desk for a comfortable chair for me. When I got back another kitchen type chair was provided, not much better than the 1st one. The water pressure in the shower was less than desireable (mentioned to front desk). Sorry to say I have been more comfortable in motel/hotels for half the price.

My rooms weren't ready i had to communicate with the cleaning lady because the front off lady didn't know Spanish and looking for rooms that were ready then it wasn't

This Candlewood San Antonio TX on 9502 Amelia pass. They charged my bank card 3 times within 24hrs. 2 when we checked in .and noticed that we were charged times and on todays day i received an alert from my bank and another charge from Candlewood suites for 116.00 The ass kicker is i booked and pain in full through Expedia. So the only thing i was needed to be changed was cleaning deposit. Time to put this hotel on ALERT. We notice the 2 charges that night on Friday and today, Monday 08 of 2024 . I received an alert from my bank. And there was a 3rd charge for 116plus, and on Friday a charge of 92.00 and 25.00 need to fight to make this right Candlewood suites in San Antonio TX on 9502 Amelia Pass and 1604 address

We witnessed 2 vehicles getting broken in one one night within min from each other. The person working at the desk mentioned it happened every week.

The rooms were ok, nice little restaurant near by. They could use carpeting up date. They charge you The whole stay Plus each individual day(charges pending) WE WERE NEVER TOLD THIS.

I was charged twice for the room. Not cool.

Check In was excellent ... Hotel.com had messed up my reservation and they went ahead and checked me in while they spent an hour working with Hotels.com getting everything figured out ... everything was good in the room ...

All good except I didnt realize they had no breakfast in the morning. Other than that a decent place.

Staff were very courteous and professional

The AC in the room went out around 11 pm the man insisted that it was working. I told him you can fell that the air is not blowing on half of the AC. We were moved into another room and in that room there were roaches. In the morning at check out tried to get a print out due to the pet fee that was charged and they couldn’t get one printed. We will not be using this brand moving forward.

When we arrived to the room it was a little older than I thought it would be but it was clean I always check sheets and everything looked good. There was a full size kitchen which I didn’t expect but was a nice addition. We were provided enough towels for our stay and did not have to ask for more which I really like. Our stay was very quiet we couldn’t hear other guests in the hallways or next room and it was a spring break weekend so that says a lot. Check in/out staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking was easy. Sonic is right outside the motel and there is a Pho spot right across the street so access to food is good. Overall good experience. Clean, quiet stay.

Otherwise the place is okay. Not great. It doesn’t seem like a great value. But then again, the kitchen is nice.

Our stay was good, but the hallway and our room smelled musty and skunkish. The ironing board was broken and wouldn’t stand up. On the other hand the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The coffee was really good too!

No ice machine because all rooms have an ice maker refrigerator in the room. Our room had a busted ice maker, so no ice. Really good place to stay. Free coffee in the lobby and a 4cup pot in the room. I will be staying here from now on when I visit San Antonio.

Very enjoyable stay. I found property and room to be in good shape and had to transition to a new way for me of having all I needed in the room, If I needed anything, to include coffee packs for the morning, soap, or other amenity's all I had to do was call, or run by the front desk and they fulfilled my request immediately. I was most impressed by the staffs attentiveness. I would recommend them for the occasional traveler, and especially any military travelers that need to stay a few or more days. Right off the 1604 loop, and easy to get to and from JBSA Lackland AFB, from more than one freeway.

The employees at the front desk were friendly. The room appeared in good condition but there are things thst needed to be fixed like rust in the tub, the bathroom sink fixture is bubbling, a cupboard that was not sitting right on the hinge, and chipped cupboards. They are dog friendly with a reasonable pet fee and the room was clean.
