Lack of cleanliness in all areas. Carpets and rooms were dusty. Every area of ​​the hotel is neglected. The cleanliness and maintenance of all areas of the hotel really need improvement. Although the staff was friendly, due to the neglect and lack of cleanliness, I will not stay at a Comfort Suites again.

Like the location The ac was not working, it was a very humid hot night my children and I didn’t sleep at all. I reported to the receptionist he stated he couldn’t change me rooms and he will go up to check the unit but he did not.

I love how it was right across a movie theater and outlets to shop around. It’s a really nice area.

Staff is amazing, allowed a late check out by 1 hours which was super helpful! Incredibly kind and inviting. Amenities were fantastic and I was able to watch the Spurs game which I couldn't at all at a previous hotel.

Our check-in was smooth. The front desk staff was friendly. However, one room had a strong musky odor and had very loud neighbors. We were moved, but the new room still had issues; a broken light switch, damaged shower tile, and used amenities left from prior guest. Out of our three day stay only one day, breakfast was acceptable. The other days the eggs were extremely dry and not edible, and the attendant refused to make a fresh batch for other guest. Friendly staff, but room conditions, cleanliness, and breakfast quality needs serious improvement.

I was pleased with the appearance and upkeep of the hotel.

My visit was supposed to be 121.00 however i was charged 234.00 , no one can tell me why , i dont appreciate that . i am trying to get a refund , but unable to get any assistance i dont like being over charged . when i book online it says one thing , but my credit card was charged something else and thats not the first time that has happened

Location was good, and room was spacious There was a lot of break-ins in the area. 4-5 vehicles were broken into on the first night.

AC was great. Lots of electrical outlets at the desk. Movable TV tray was very handy for eating and watching TV. Unique.

The location was great and the staff was excellent! The interior hall carpet looks dingy on the first floor. The room lacks adequate lighting and please update the toilet it needs to be taller . The buffet needs improvement couldn’t eat the eggs or sausage and the coffee was terrible !

I liked the coffee and water in the lobby, and the check-in attendant was pleasant and easy-going.wkward There was evidence of the bed not being super clean. The TV bracket was broken, causing the TV to hang at an awkward viewing angle, with no way to correct it. A light panel behind the bed was also missing or broken off.

The lighting is really good. In the bathroom--great. There wqas even a night light. On the bed--great, but you have to find it by accident. the light is recessed 4 ft long on top of the head board. Floor lamp, the button is low on the pole. The floor lamp:" if it had a 1/4 in tape of contrasting color just above the button, making it more visible. Or paint the button. I like this heading better: What could have been done better. You ought to see if you can get a deal with HEB if you place their ad info on your property. Add to your to-do list the parking lot. There is so much in that intersection: Fish City Grill. Barnes and Noble,Movie theatre. These are close by amenities.

The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The location was good. Having HEB in walking distance was a plus. I had forgotten my Dopp kit. Maybe a heavy black out curtain. Street noise was uncomfortable. This is just a suggestion. It is easy access to two highways. A small square map of how to get on the highways (north, south, east and west) from your location would be helpful. Possibly put in on your website or TV information for the room, or a a board by the front dsek that visitors could take a picture of.

Everything was perfect at this hotel from the cleanliness, staff, and parking. I love there was a movie theater across the street. Behind the hotel there was also an HEB and a few other stores in a small shopping center.

It was close to restaurants. The breakfast was horrible. One elevator did not work and the other kept breaking down. The front desk was undermanned every time I went through. The pool was not clean/ heated and there was no jacuzzi. For a place that charges just as much as a downtown hotel it was not up to par.

Enjoyed the size of the room. It was very clean as well. Breakfast was the only disappointment! Very little to choose from and poorly arranged.

Carpeting (UGH!) throughout the building was old and dirty. Bed mattress had springs sticking up. Pillows, while plentiful(5) felt like they were filled with wads of paper.

The bedspread was filthy. It had not been changed out from the previous occupants and the room had a very strong bad odor like tobacco. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Bathroom was not clean. Urine still on the toilet bowl. Went to buy breakfast because theirs just did not look good. Coffee is basically brown water even if you pick bold. So if you like good coffee this is not it. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Couldn’t really watch tv for long because it kept disconnecting. Just seems like this location uses very inexpensive things. Kept hearing this squeaky noise at all hours. No it was not the people next door or above. Which made it hard to sleep.

Front desk employees were not friendly at all. Only one elevator was were working when there are four floors. We had to wait very long to get to our room. Rooms are very dark. Barely any light fixtures, lamps available. A/C in room doesn't work properly. If you don't have A/C very cold room gets very humid. Breakfast was just okay. Coffe was horrible.

It is nice they serve breakfast but it is same menu everyday (stayed for 4 nights) and very basic. Our room was not cleaned because we were told from the receptionist that we had the please don't disturb sign overnight. I guess they check the tag at 6am and if it is on the door, they don't clean it that day.

The rooms are very large and are always extremely cold, which is great. The only complaint that we have is the parking. If you get in late in the evening, we may have to park pretty far. They do have great security.

Everything was very good.

We have stayed at this hotel on three or four previous visits and it was always very nice. It has been a couple years since our last visit and it seems to have gone downhill. Only one of two elevators was working and there was a sign on the working elevator warning not to go to floor 4 or the elevator might get stuck. The automatic front door to the lobby would not close automatically. The carpet in the hallway was badly stained. There were no towels in the fitness room. The TV and treadmill in fitness room did not work. The morning breakfast was below expectations with poor choice of cereals and stale English muffins. On the positive side our room was clean and comfortable.

The brakefast in not good

The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned. The sheets were rolled up on the bed. I didn't even look at the rest of the room. Only one elevator worked if that what you wanna call it. It felt like it was going to fall every time we used it. It says on the wall its a non smoking hotel. My room smelled like cigarettes bad! The only thing good was the man that checked us in. He was cool.

Breakfast foods were horrible, front desk staff were sleepy and inattentive. Room was clean but tv was barely attached to the wall. Price was reflective of the quality of the property and product.

We stay here because it is convenient for us to the places in San Antonio we plan to go to. It's pretty clean, we didn't partake of the breakfast, our only complaint is they need better pillows. I don't know when hotels started using marshmallow sized pillows, but they are annoying.

Great spot to post up in San Antonio. Affordable and well maintained. Breakfast was a bit on the bland side, but better than others I have had. Staff was helpful and flexible with us.

This hotel is very convenient to many activities, hospitals and dining options. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful and the check in process was quick and smooth. The reason for the lower rating was the condition of the room was quite surprising especially given the number of very positive reviews. The smoke detector was stuffed with toilet paper, not sure why or why no one noticed this, the two bedside lamps were missing lightbulbs and a small of reading light was bent up inside so there was minimal light in the bedroom area, the caulking around the tub was crumbling on the floor and the elevators seemed to be struggling to get to the upper floors. I did bring the smoke detector and lightbulbs to the attention of the front desk staff and am Assuming these were corrected after we checked out.

The guy at the front was courteous and helpful. The room was nice and appeared clean and tidy but there were some nail clippings, food, dirt, etc., behind the nightstand that I could easily see (if i can see, so can the cleaner...) when inspecting for bedbugs. I make it a habit of checking the bedding and furniture for critters before settling in because I have had a previous bad experience. I immediately found evidence of bed bugs on both beds. One had newer eggs under/behind the pillow and the other under the bed skirt. It APPEARED to be an early infestation, due to the bug stage and lack of stains on the actual mattress. As we were pulling the skirting back to get a better look at an egg, we disturbed it and a bug that ran up the side of the mattress. We immediately left, alerted the front desk agent, who immediately contacted management. Hopefully they care enough to handle it, so as not to spread them to others. The agent was courteous, understanding, and helpful in getting our room refunded. I am sure all hotels deal with this and overall, the agent was a 5, appearance was a 5 and the refund process with Hotels.com was smooth. I just hope it gets resolved. You have to stay on top of that. My only regret is not killing the bug for them because they can be hard to locate and bring out of hiding. We were lucky enough to get a pic because it was slow and obviously hadn't eaten much lately. It won't let me upload the video. Hate to bad review but had to mention it!

So close to the ice rink for hockey tournament

This was a very nice place. The room was very quiet & the bed was comfortable. It was exactly as pictured in the photos. The lemon water in the lobby was refreshing.I definitely recommend this hotel & plan on staying here again.

Cons- was no hot water in shower ( possibly just an isolated issue) tv guide was poor very few quality options without having to use sign on services. Internet stalls after 15 mbs without registering to a hotel rewards account. Breakfast was mediocre, plain scrambled eggs an sausage links an make yourself waffles was the hot food menu. Overall wouldn’t stay again but it was comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The only complaint I have is that I found a slide/slipper next to my bed on the day of checkout which to me made me feel like it may have been rushed while being cleaned. Other than that, no complaints. Would probably stay here again!

The parking was good. Hotel located in a shopping center with restaurants and HEB closed by. The first room assigned was was not cleaned/ready so were goven another. There was paint peeling off in the bathroom, the carpet was very stained. Breakfast was ok.

The rooms are definitely not soundproofed. I could hear people talking loudly whenever they were in the hallway. The housekeeping staff goes around chatting very loudly before it's even 8:30 am. One morning, I heard a dog barking from 5 am to 6 am. The breakfast is decent. I enjoyed the waffles.

Checked in Saturday afternoon, everything went quickly and smooth. My room was clean, quiet, I felt safe with the location. After making it back home, I called the hotel to ask a question, The young lady that answered the phone came off nice nasty on the the phone. Other than that, great stay.

I found 2 bees in the room! Close to the window. I killed one but couldn't find other bee. Its somewhere in the room so I am not comfortable to stay in the room knowing there's bee. So I decide to leave and return card key and will not be stay here thanks

The free breakfast every morning is amazing! There are plenty of options and even the coffee tastes fresh. I love the Texas-shaped waffles!

Clean and service

Cons-carpet was so dirty, shower with little pressure and shower head so dirty and dripping, one working elevator, breakfast was very limited. Our car was broken into in the front of the parking lot. Staff on duty was less than helpful and said to call a manager later. We had nothing of value in the car but the staff said they had frequent break ins with people looking for guns. If they are aware of this issue, why not have some sort of security walk the lot for customers safety?? This was in a nicer part of the city so very disappointing. Very disappointing and helpful customer service would have gone a long way. I would steer clear since they know it’s an issue and no nothing to assist their customers.

Everything was great, room was clean and comfy, breakfast was good. The only thing i didn't like was the guy that checked me in made a snide comment about having to explain the $25 incidentals fee. I asked why $25 specifically normally hotels just ask for a card for incidentals. He replied annoyed that it was the 3rd time he had to explain that day that hotels require a payment for that. I didn't appreciate how he spoke to me at all since I wasn't rude when i asked for clarification.

We had a great stay! The property was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect close to everything we needed, but still quiet and relaxing. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

It was a basic continental breakfast, food was fresh just would of like a few more options. The actual hotel is a little difficult to locate but once you do easy to find.

Solid hotel

The hotel was so amazing. Bed was so comfy we have considered going back for staycation in the hotel.

Lots of dining options are within 5-7 min drive, which made it easy to freshen up in your room and head out to dinner without needing to drive far. Like I said the hotel itself is avg but if you're just using it for a place to shower and sleep then you should be fine. There is a pool but it's about the size of a kiddie pool.

I would rate my experience above average. Was a little disappointed in the check and had to wait nine or 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk I guess the clerk was busy. After I checked into my room, I found it all the pillows are down, so I walked downstairs and asked for a foam filled pillow. I was told that that location did not have any foam pillows. When I went back upstairs and sat on the couch, I noticed the smell of puke coming from the carpet by the coffee table. I was tired at that point didn’t wanna go back downstairs since I’ve already been disappointed twice. So I just went to bed. I woke the next morning with eyes itching and red and had trouble breathing because I’m allergic to down / feathers . Will not be returning to this location..

Very nice clean like that was close to stores and restaurants

We were very disappointed in this stay. We had to ask for a different room when we checked in as there was hair all over the bathroom floor and toilet and stains on the bed. The second room also had hair on floor in bathroom and in tub. Carpet was stained in both rooms and all over the hotel. We asked for a blanket for the fold out bed and were told they didn't have any. Microwave and door locks were also broken. First morning we had no hot water, when we asked about it, it was fixed, but room wasn't cleaned that day. We left a day early and cut our losses.

For us the location is very good because is near our daughter house.

The food and coffee were awful; breakfast was meager. The pool water was murky and dirty—we didn't even bother swimming. Both rooms we rented had cockroaches, and the sheets smelled disgusting, so we used our own. However, the hotel's location and facilities were good.

Front desk staff was nice when we arrived. The building is terribly run down. The carpet was gross and as soon as you step off the elevator you’re hit with a terrible smell. The beds are old spring beds. The woman cleaning rooms does a good job, but it can only be cleaned so much considering its state of disrepair.

Although it was a bit difficult to find the first time, it is at the intersection of US 281 and Loop 1604 behind HEB.

The room was not cleaned properly. It was not completly vacuumed, there was a bug and some hair on the bed, plus it smelled like mold.

This property is unsafe, 10 cars were broken into the night we stayed there. The hotel apparently told guests they had no access to the footage from the cameras in the parking lot. I also found pubic hair all around the floor especially surrounding the toilet as well as on the shower rubber mat.

Terrible elevator feels like it’s going to stop or break all the darn halls on floor 2 and 3 smell like weed if ur taking family no bueno if ur just going to party I guess it’s for that so disappointing

Only issue was the elevator was not functioning. Had to climb stairs to the 3rd floor while dealing with a meniscus tear. Eventually the elevator was fixed. Front desk clerk was very polite and provided excellent customer service.

Stayed for two days, room and restroom were clean and smelled nice. Staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was really good.Lots of stores and restaurants around the area its a good location. A car was broken in at the parking lot but other than that good experience, would stay again.

Although the staff was extremely friendly The property was not kept up. When you walk in the front, it appeared clean, but an overwhelming smell of constant room spray was was being sprayed in the air, which was very strong and pungent. When it wasn’t so noticeable, you could smell the must in the air. One elevator did not work, and we had been told by staff that it had been out for quite a while, so it made it very hard and slow to go up and down the elevator. The room was extremely dirty. Hair all over the floor, even found hair in one of the beds when we pulled back the sheets. Had to buy Lysol wipes to clean the ceramic part of the floor because feet were constantly turning black also had to wear socks every time you were in the room.
