Great location. Minutes from the Alamo and the riverwalk.
- 4/5
shower knobs turn on/off in different direction (unusual) Great location for the Alamo and Riverwalk/Mall. OK for Tower of Americas
- 1/5
Valet left our car's lights on. Battery died and he had to jump it. New battery is now basically useless. Night staff member said we could have a late checkout, then the morning one didn't. Food under the beds on we got there. Not a great experience. Find somewhere else.
- 3/5
Walking into the lobby was awesome very clean and well decorated. As I went up to the 7th floor and stepped off the elevator, I was surprised by how hot the floor was, and the carpet was very old and worn down. The room was very outdated and the bathroom needed some upgrades. I paid for an executive suite expecting it to be a little more up to date. The bed was very hard and not a good nights sleep.
- 5/5
The staff were so helpful and my daughter absolutely loved the pool grotto area. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
It was very close to the Alamo, but that was the only great thing. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. I was in San Antonio for work and got the deluxe king room, which was so spacious and great for getting work done in the room while I was there. Would definitely go back!
- 3/5
I got a room that was also dog friendly, did not need a room like that!!!
- 5/5
You can buy muffins or breakfast sandwich type stuff for breakfast downstairs in the morning or get smoothies. It was an extensive offering as long as you don't have a wheat allergy or gluten allergy like I do. The staff were kind and pointed me to Schilo's a short walk away. I had a delicious dinner in the Crockett Tavern downstairs, so don't pass that up. The atmosphere and location were perfect after a long day or travel. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, close to everything. We would definitely stay again

Ac didn’t work very well other than that it was a very beautiful hotel and very good location close to the Alamo and the Riverwalk

Loved staying at this hotel

Everything was great we will definitely be back
- 5/5
Loved this stay. Will definitely be staying again! Staff was helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff as well as the central location and walkable to a lot of activities, restaurants, and stores.

Room clean, staff friendly, and location was perfect.

- 2/5
It was downtown with everything close by. Parking
- 4/5
The room and bathroom were a good size. The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the shower nozzles were a little confusing and we kept getting random bursts of cold and hot water. Our only window faced the inside of the hotel. While the shutters provided good blockage of the light I would have preferred drapes. The lights stay on in the lobby all night so we did have some light coming in. Also we weren’t aware that valet was our only option, so that was disappointing. The front desk was friendly and you can’t beat the location.

My husband and I stay here once a year just to enjoy the Riverwalk. However, this past visit was not up to par. Our room had no extra toilet paper, tissue or coffee.
- 3/5
I was charged $190 even though I paid through Expedia. I was told $75 was to be put on hold for incidentals but apparently not. I still don't have the money back in my account.
- 5/5
Great deal, great location and the restuarant staff were great and food solid. Will stay again.
- 3/5
Everything was close Alamo and restaurants No microwaves in the rooms the ac was making a noise
- 5/5
Just a better vibe and friendly staff and restaurant staff was great also.
- 4/5
Great place to stay…. Had a problem with the valet charging at the end.
- 4/5
Definitely not a 5 star hotel, but pleasant considering the historical nature of the building. The carpet in the hallways could certainly benefit from better up keep. Our hotel room was sufficient and satisfied our needs.
- 5/5
The rooms where clean the staff were nice polite and helpful 😀
- 5/5
That is close to the Riverwalk and the Bonham Exchange Some of the rooms I stayed in stuff was broken
- 0.5/5
The A/C unit was broken in our room. It was 82° in the room when we looked at the thermostat. No other room was available. So we had to cancel the room and find another hotel. 82 degrees in the room. No A/C
- 1/5
Proximity to riverwalk, mall and Alamo Cleanliness or lack thereof
- 0.5/5
N/A I never got to stay. The staff was nasty to me on the phone, so I decided to stay elsewhere.
- 1/5
They had a great bar The a/c unit was so loud you couldn’t sleep. There was no toilette paper in the room bad thing to find out at the time. The tub drained so slowly you stood in ankle deep water and the next person to shower had to wait 20 minutes before they could shower
- 4/5
The location was great! We got lucky with a corner room overlooking the Alamo. Short walk to the river walk. Great for the price. Everything was a bit dated. My biggest complaint is the carpet throughout the halls and room were a bit dirty and stained.
- 5/5

- 5/5
We needed a place to stay last minute. They had the 4 rooms we needed, got us checked in pretty much in a flash. Rooms were clean, water was good in the shower, also had TV with some channels in the room. Thanks for a great experience Crockett Hotel!
- 3/5
No one upfront to help with luggage or offer to take to the room. Our luggage trolley was never removed.
- 5/5
You cannot beat the price and location of this hotel . Literally steps from the Alamo and a 3 minute walk to the river walk. If you love Texas history this hotel is a must. Rooms are older but clean and spacious . If your looking for new updated rooms this hotel isn't it, but if your lookout a hotel with history , character, great staff and location and don't mind a little bit of an older room this hotel is unmatched!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 0.5/5
Location Our room smelled of cat pee . I was told by front desk they allow pets.
- 3/5
Location was great! Property could use some updating.
- 5/5
There are many shopping stores in the area as well as Transportation. Hotel is located in a major historic building and has a great restaurant bar inside.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and the food at the tavern was good. The only negative was the fire alarm went off in the wee hours of the morning. I believe it was due to a pull station had water coming in from the storm.
- 5/5
the restaurant was good and bar well stocked, parking $50 per night, the parking attendant was very helpful He had to go and get the check in person to end a personal conversation. We checked in approximately 6 pm and the experience was very poor, he did not explain the parking just told us to go park in the lot and that didn’t work well. finally went to the valet and he was helpful. Considering that the check-in manager is the face of the hotel, not a very positive first impression of the hotel!
- 3.5/5
Convenient location No restaurant service.
- 4/5
The coffee shop was good. Our valet (Miles) was outstanding! The front desk was very nice as well. Easy to get around and was close to what we wanted to do. The beds and pillows were too hard.
- 5/5
I was only in San Antonio for 6 hours..... comfortable room, great shower, everything was clean. So I dont have much to say but what else do you need
- 4.5/5
A beautiful hotel in an old downtown building. Super convenient and walkable with great restaurants on the nearby river walk and the Alamo right across the street. We were surprised by the $50 parking fee - didn’t see it mentioned in the listing in booking.
- 4/5
The lady at registration was very helpful and attentive. She helped me with a challenge with Valet. I enjoyed the music at the bar and was impressed by the history of the hotel ❤️
- 5/5
Parking well be charge per day keep that in mind.
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet.
- 2/5
If you want the experience of staying in an historic building close to the Alamo and Riverwalk, this would be the perfect place to stay. The only downside to staying here is that they offer no turn down service and either you pay $49.00 a day for valet parking or try to find a close parking spot. If you need to complain about the service at the hotel or restaurant, do not bother because it falls on deaf ears!
- 5/5
We loved our stay here! The location is absolutely fantastic and you literally walk out the door and are at The Alamo! The trolley also comes right to the front door of the hotel and this is a great way to see San Antonio. The staff were all so helpful and even reheated some of our leftovers downstairs. Would highly recommend a stay!
- 5/5
Loved that it was so close to everything
- 5/5
Crossing the street is one of the entrance of the River walk shopping Center, and also one of the closest access to the River walk. The only inconvenience is the parking, which is very expensive for one night. Maybe is better to find another parking spot outside the premises.
- 3/5
However, the staff were great.
- 4/5
Common areas are a bit worn, carpets in hallway. Room was very nice, well furnished, clean. Close to Alamo, River Walk.
- 3/5
Wasn't a happy camper here. It looked like a grand place to spend our wedding anniversary in the advertisement, but we soon found it that it wasn't so grand after all. We had to wait until after 4pm to get in our room which was not a Deluxe Room like we had reserved. It was small, but I will say that it was clean. The hallway was dirty and probably had not been cleaned in several days. There is no free self parking at this property, had to use their valet service which is an extra 48 dollars a night. The bar was overpriced and the service was not impressive. We won't be staying here again.
- 4/5
Noisy surroundings
- 2/5
Carpets in the rooms and hallways were really just filthy. There is no other way to put it.
- 4/5
breakfast was too simple only limited choice. otherwise fairly good.
- 2/5
The lobby of this hotel is nice. The location is perfect if you plan to hang around the Riverwalk and Rivercenter mall. The rooms are sooo out of date. The bathroom is tiny, the bed is so uncomfortable, the room has no blackout curtains. Its noisy. If you like to sleep in while on vacation and enjoy a spacious bathroom this isn’t the place. But for a quick Riverwalk weekend trip it was a roof over our heads.
- 5/5
Excellent stay from start to finish. The gentleman at check-in was also super helpful and friendly!
- 1/5
Old and needs upgrading. No hot water.
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
Stacy was absolutely amazing! Very informative. Very courteous! Answered all my questions and provided solutions.
- 5/5
Very nice, very reasonable, great location
- 2/5
Good location. And the staff was fine. Rooms are very dated, toilet was stained, carpet was stained, TV was tiny and difficult to stream. The staff was fine, but we paid a couple hundred dollars for a night here and it was extremely disappointing for that price. It's fine for a lower-budget hotel, but it wasn't low budget.
- 3/5
Location is great.
- 5/5
Great job I will definitely come and stay again
- 5/5
It was great. Valet isn’t worth $45 but there was no other option. The place was nice, very historic and beautiful. Our room had carpet that was stained and the beds were very uncomfortable. The view was beautiful. We didn’t eat breakfast since coffee and breakfast downstairs was charged. It was ok.
- 5/5
Wish valet was cheaper but it was in a good spot for what I needed to do
- 1/5
The only parking option available was valet, and at $50 per night, it was extremely expensive and inconvenient. On top of that, the carpet in the room was very dirty and did not feel clean or well maintained. Guests should be clearly informed about the high parking fees before booking, and the cleanliness of the rooms definitely needs improvement.”
- 5/5
Shower head could be updated
- 5/5
A number of us from the Madrid High School (Spain) Class of 1965 had a wonderful stay celebrating our 61st anniversary at the Crockett Hotel in San Antonio. Great food and bar, warm vibe, great staff and walking distance to everything memorable in beautiful San Antonio. Across the street from the Alamo. Across the street from escalator access to Riverwalk. Highly recommend a stay here. We are returning next year. Perfect place for a family get-together, school reunion, or any special celebration! Welcoming feel, super location!
- 5/5
Beds where super comfy! Nice
- 3/5
Carpet old with stains, barely a 30 inch TV in the larger size room, fixtures, loose and falling off and the lights blinking on off. Lobby area is nice, but the rooms definitely could use updating. The location is excellent, which is the only reason I have continued to stay there on multiple occasions.
- 3/5
The first night was very bad we could hear all the noise from outside cars racing there motors s ound like they was racing and we were on the fourth floor so no sleep that night the next night was a little better but the location was good but I don't think they we will staying there again
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay at The Crockett Hotel. The room and hotel were nice and clean. The staff was nice. The bar was fully stocked.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and very central
- 4/5
The room was a bit smaller than other King bedrooms we’ve stayed in. but not a huge problem, as we only stayed 1 night. Mostly neutral colors through out the hotel and many historical paintings and plaques depicting the history of Davey Crockett and the Sacred ground the hotel stands on. Did not visit the Crockett Tavern But it looked every bit of Texas as Texas can be. Only onsite parking was valet (all valet personnel were friendly and professional) with a steep $50 charge. But everything today is over priced. The Crockett hotel has lush grounds with an out door pool and a dog walk area. Over all, we were very pleased with our stay at the Crockett Hotel and would stay again.
- 5/5
Bar was nice
- 5/5
Very clean! Nice staff & professional! Parking $$$
- 4/5
On-site restaurant was very convenient with good food for those not wanting to venture out too far.
- 2/5
Yes, there's valet parking, but in the description it doesn't tell you that they'll charge $49 a night. The lobby was beautiful and clean, unfortunately the bathroom in the actual room was not. There were hairs and mold in the tub.
- 2/5
Better maintenance on bathroom and need to have Internet on TV put air fresheners is it really a nice place? Just need more maintenance.
- 4/5
my room was very large and quiet. the pool water was just bearably cold but did not have to share it. the valet was often overwhelmed. i would stay at the Crockett again hoping the shower was only unruly in the single room.
- 4/5
Even though I paid for a king bed - there were none available?!?! I ended up with a queen, free parking and a view of the a/c unit….. but the staff were great overall
- 3/5
It was located in a good place. The dislikes were no safe in rooms, and my sister ended up having to change rooms cuz their a/c didn’t work. Also disliked having to pay for parking. If I’m a guest? Treat me like a guest!
- 4/5
Historic hotel and great location. Rooms are a bit dated. Not enough plugs for devices and the carpet needed to be replaced.
- 5/5
Room was adequate for the price. Location was perfect
- 3/5
Showers need to be updated.
- 5/5
Great historic hotel next door to alamo. All within a short distance to riverwalk. Nice coffee shop in lobby.
- 4/5
Front desk clerk was super friendly and informative. Valet was also super nice. Overall the staff was great. The hotel itself is outdated. No extra outlets by the night stands to charge phones. You can hear everything outside especially at night when everyone is blaring their music and honking horns. There was trash on the floor in the hallway and I didn't like that there was no self parking, only valet. I like access to my vehicle without bothering someone to go get it. The location is great. Right across the street from The Alamo and about a block and half from the Riverwalk.
- 3/5
We’ve stayed here many times, unfortunately this time the room was wasn’t to clean, the hotel definitely needs some upgrades. Pool area seemed neglected. Our room AC didn’t seem to work properly, shower was going between super cold to very hot water on its own. We love the location.. but may try different hotel next time.
- 3/5
This is a lovely hotel, in a great location. Just be sure not to book a room overlooking the atrium as the live music might keep you awake. I had to endure loud thumping music into the early hours (1-2 am). When I asked if this was normal I was met with a vague answer and no offer to move my room. I was considering extending my stay but decided against it.
- 5/5
We were there for our honeymoon. We experienced a few problems upon check in but they immediately made it right and upgraded our room. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Room was beautiful. Pool very small and dirty. Parking was a disaster and unless you can walk, very expensive.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean a little dated. One thing I noticed that I would’ve liked would have been blackout curtains. The room had shutters in the window, which did allow light in even in the early morning. It would’ve been nice to have had some blackout curtains to keep the light out when we wanted to sleep in everything was clean we had everything we needed very convenient location for downtown San Antonio literally across the street from the Alamo Tavern restaurant was very convenient although a bit pricey elevators are small, but worked. Overall, all the day was nice and we enjoyed our stay would recommend.
- 4/5
This is an older and more historic hotel. The rooms are small and dated but it definitely gives you a feel for what was rather than what is. It’s definitely not for everyone but for those looking for an older more historic vibe, this is it!
- 1/5
Got charged for parking when I didn’t use their parking lot. Went to hotel to dispute because I was getting the run around on the phone. Spoke to front desk person who said valet put in a charge for my room. Told me I needed to talk to valet which i did and they didn’t have a ticket # for my room on that night. So they said it would be refunded in 5-10 business days but I haven’t received my refund yet I stayed there on the 7th of march.
- 5/5
Parking is a huge drawback, when it's inconvenient and still costs 75% a much as a room!
- 4/5
The 2nd time was better, and it was fun to be in the historic Alamo area, and not too far from Frost Center, where the Spurs were playing. The food in the restaurant was good, and the entertainment was "OK". I was surprised the manager made no effort to do something nice for the huge hassle we experienced and the time spent trying to correct their error (not even a free drink). But if you want a historic hotel, it was cool. I just hope you have a better hospitality experience than we did. And hopefully they improve the way they treat their guests when something goes wrong.
- 4/5
Parking is subcontracted - expensive and a pain to deal with (I understand it’s a new way for hotels to deal with parking)
- 5/5
The room we had was very small but cozy and comfortable and perfect as we only had it for one night but I enjoyed the location and all the history of the place
- 4/5
A satisfactory stay on the 6th floor. Nice view! Restaurant and service were good.
- 5/5
Stayed at the Crockett Hotel in San Antonio and absolutely loved the experience. The location is unbeatable — right next to the Alamo and within walking distance of the River Walk, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel has so much Texas history and character while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The staff was friendly and accommodating from check-in to check-out, and the atmosphere made the stay feel unique compared to a standard hotel chain. The courtyard area was relaxing, the rooms were clean, and the overall vibe fit perfectly with a weekend exploring downtown San Antonio. If you want a hotel with charm, history, and an incredible location, I highly recommend the Crockett Hotel. We’ll definitely be back!
- 1/5
Room dirty old food left in fridge and ac didn’t work in the whole building.
- 3/5
I chose the room for the cheaper price on bookings.com & it was just a crummy room. The smell of mildew hit you as soon as you opened the door. We didn't know what it was from at first but after a couple of days, the carpet in the entry way was wet. We called & got maintence. He replaced the refrigerator thinking it must be leaking and used a wet vacuum to suck up the water. But 2 days later it was soaked again. We put up with it because we didn't want to repack to move. We kept covering it with bath towels to soak up the water. We had to go to the front desk every day to get coffee pods & cups & had to ask for more towels. There is no room cleaning unless you ask for it. We needed a toilet brush because there was no housekeeping. The restuarant, The Tavern, was very good. Good food & good service. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. And we are pretty easy to please.

- 4/5
Parking was expensive and the app didn't work on my android. Inside of drawers were not cleaned. Toilet leaked continually.
- 4/5
The location is amazing and the amenities adequate. I felt check in was quite slow and the staff seemed straight out and because so was a little uncourteous, curt, and and harried, so I am giving four stars based upon that. But I would still stay here again. We enjoyed the restaurant, and the location really is where you want to be - so convenient for walking everywhere, or taking an uber if you need to go outside the immediate area. Our day may have had influencing unique things that made the staff snappy, but it wasn’t five star service (or even a neutral reception - I felt like a burden for having shown up).
- 4/5
I had a very nice stay at the Crockett Hotel. It had a great location next to the Alamo and near the River Walk. I think my big challenge was that I had a 5-night stay, and my room was never cleaned, and I had to ask for a fresh towel halfway through my visit.
- 5/5
Very nice.
- 5/5
Please find the person that triggered the fire alarm; that was a terrifying experience.
- 3/5
Our stay was good except parking was extremely expensive for the 2 1/2 days we stayed at the hotel.
- 2/5
The restaurant was closed all day due to an evening event. I suspect they were just short on staff since everyone would be working the evening shift. Also, they charged $98 extra for two nights of parking. False alarm went off at 5:30 a.m. and asked everyone to exit via the stairs. They canceled the alarm but didn’t announce that it had been a false alarm. Needless to say, everyone still was uncertain so most people exited.
- 4/5
Pay at arrival does not work I was charged for 2 rooms the day before I arrived. the staff informed me that this was not longer an option and due to the Festival the charge in advanced. So, why advertised as such?
- 3/5
Otherwise it was just an older property which isn’t a nock but is good to know.
- 5/5
Convenient location right next to the Alamo. Easy walking to riverwalk.
- 2/5
- 3/5
Room was not as clean as we would have expected. Sink and tub drains were not working properly, Hotel Engineering worked each twice. We still had the same issue throughout the entire stay. Overall, hotel could use an interiors upgrade. However, great location, advantage walkability to most major stops in downtown San Antonio.
- 2/5
Air conditioner in room didn't get cool. The temperature in the room never got below 76 degrees. Was a hot misserable sleep. Hotel manager said I could have a refund for the room but would have to go through Expedia to get it. Not sure how that works. Won't stay there again. I got the feeling that they don't like dealing with 3rdparty travel sites like Expedia and the others out there.
- 2/5
I'm usually the kind of guy that goes to a Motel 6, and when I get Motel 6-level service, I give them 5 stars. My experience at the Crockett Hotel was not up to Motel 6 standards. The AC fan in the room was loud and likely failing, waking me up all night every time it went off. The sink was plugged. The shower water crossed the spectrum from being scalding to frigid multiple times during my shower. When I left my room in the morning, the hotel had not been swept or vacuumed, it seemed, for days. To top it all off they wanted a non-refundable $120 to let my dog in the room which I was unaware of, and did not have covered parking. I found covered parking elsewhere and the dog slept in the truck. I will say though that my room, specifically, was clean and so the cleaning staff did a good job with that. Everything else - check with *management*. There is no way they don't know about these ignored details. It's a shame they run this venerable old hotel this way. They're clearly coasting on the hotel's reputation or location. Next time I will be staying at a LaQuinta or Motel 6, and likely give them 5 stars.
- 3/5
Great location.. Noise a significant issue if staying on level above the tavern. Floors vibrating until midnight and hard to sleep. Obviously rooms need an upgrade either way bathroom amenities in dire need of maintenance. But certainly did the job for us for a four night stay
- 5/5
Parking was easier then I thought it would be because of construction
- 3/5
No free breakfast!
- 5/5
Very friendly and attentive staff
- 5/5
Great location for walking to Fiesta events and Hemisfair. First time staying here and it seems like a decent value. Burgers are great at their historic Crockett Tavern.
- 1/5
Then the only option for parking was valet or paying parking in a general garage for the same price as valet. Staff are rude, showers did not drain properly and the cleaning staff for the rooms are not through. Came back and found trash still in the trash cans and no new towels when they supposedly cleaned.
- 5/5
First time staying at the Crockett and it was wonderful. Very well maintained for its age. If in San Antonio it’s the place to stay.
- 5/5
It was amazing! Everyone was really nice!
- 5/5
The room was good after they switched me to a new room.
- 5/5
Excellent location.
- 5/5
Be aware of parking
- 5/5
This hotel was extremely clean. Everything was easily accessible and walking distance from the hotel. The bar was well ran and all hotel staff was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Ok overall
- 5/5
Located in a perfect location. Able to walk to all areas of interest. Close to entertainment and dining. Interesting history of the hotel and facilities are up to standard.
- 5/5
It was a great hotel
- 3/5
What the hell?
- 4/5
didn't park, so idon't know. didn't drink so i don't know. Great location, clean, friendly staff. Enjoyed the Alamo vibe.
- 5/5
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast would have made the trip more better. But overall, great location and everything was within walking distance.
- 5/5
Miles was our valet when we arrived and he was amazing! Room was clean, beds were comfy. We ate at the Tavern, service and food were excellent! Walking distance to everything. Thank you and your staff for excellent service!!
- 5/5
Bar staff super friendly, front staff amazing, valet super friendly
- 5/5
Great location right next to the Alamo and easy walk to the Riverwalk.
- 2/5
Room was dirty, bathroom had used soap in shower, food trash left in window, and random trash on floor in room. Bathroom only had 1/4 roll of toilet paper and when we ran out they took forever to bring more. Coffee bar staff was unorganized and unprofessional. Ordered ahead from room just to wait 30 mins at counter then to be told they were out. Manager was rude when requesting refund.
- 5/5
Location to the river walk and the Alamo were great, long line to get coffee in the morning. Overall great experience.
- 3/5
I requested for two blankets and they just gave me one.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
Loved the Coffee Cafe cheapest coffee in town and really good!
- 2/5
Hotels tells you pet friendly, but call the hotel and make certain no charge for dogs or cats. Hotels fails to tell you.
- 4/5
Nice hotel overall. Pillows are hard and lumpy, but room was clean and staff was friendly..
- 4/5
We were anxious to check in, so we were very happy when they let us check in right on time. I guess our room wasn’t available yet so they gave us another room.
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Restaurant connected to hotel could have been better.
- 3/5
We love historic hotels and understand they often come with issues. We overlook small inconveniences but do look for the staff to be present and courteous. The staff at the Crockett this weekend was hard to find and often less than friendly.
- 5/5
Loved the restaurant food and drinks, easy to walk to places
- 3/5
The hotel location was great, literally next door to the Alamo, easy walk to Riverwalk and other sites. The hotel rooms themselves are clean enough, but kinda tired. Valet parking is expensive ($50/night) and the app really wants you to pay a $7 tip for them to drive it a few feet from the lot. I’m happy to tip my valet, and this seemed excessive for a place that touts in and out privileges as a perk of the valet parking. The onsite tavern was hopping every night, and it was a fun atmosphere.
- 5/5
It's a historic hotel so don't expect the same as a brand new hotel, but room prices are more reasonable and still comfortable. Tavern downstairs was excellent, very convenient. Park at Convention Center for $10 per night and save valet fee.
- 5/5
Wonderful building, food in the tavern was amazing
- 5/5
Cleanliness of the room was not so good. Someone cut their nails and it was on the carpet. Restroom has some hairs and spots. Overall it was really good. Staff were really kind and helpfull.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was great. Very good location to the River Walk and the Alamo.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Although the carpet throughout the hotel needs replacing sooner rather than later. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfy. Bathroom also good size. The closet was dark and honestly a little creepy, did not use it. The hotel is elegant and location is prime, right near the Alamo and walking distance to the Riverwalk. The food was delicious. Definitely a great hotel with so much history. We would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
As soon as we walked in on a hot 80 degree day , the heater in the bathroom was turned all the way up by the staff who cleaned and made the whole room hot. The ac must have been broken because it was barely blowing any air! When I told staff they said they would come up to the room and did not! Won’t stay ever again not worth it.
- 5/5
Great hotel and centrally located.
- 4/5
The room was not very clean.
- 5/5
Everything great!
- 3/5
This is a great location and there is a parking garage across the street. I was disappointed though because I booked a two queen bed room and the beds were doubles. We weren’t in the room very long and if we were staying for more than one night, I would have notified the front desk to switch my room.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 3/5
I wouldn’t know it was closed to a private party.
- 5/5
The room was clean and I was given a complementary water. Staff was very nice. Would definitely come back to this hotel.
- 5/5
valet parking was a pain to have to get on your phone to get your car.
- 5/5
Very close to everything loved it
- 5/5
This was a fun place to stay. The property is showing some age but is being well maintained. Staff was super responsive when we said the smoke alarm chirped - they took care of it right away. The only concern was unexpected-in the middle of the night I was up to use the bathroom and saw a cockroach. Ew
- 3/5
Pretty aged and definitely not amazing. But not terrible for the money though considering the location.
- 5/5
Great service. My family enjoyed the staying at the Crockett hotel. Location is the best. The restaurant bar they have good food and entrances. Also the little coffee shop in the morning is great.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, hot water was great. Friendly staff. Location was great. Everything is in walking distance.
- 5/5
This was a wonderful historic hotel to stay in for 2 nights. I loved the historic look and feel. It was incredibly close to the Alamo (2min walk) and the Riverwalk (5min walk). It is situated next to a mall with all the shops, several restaurants and a movie theatre as well as an outdoor shopping experience. Really glad we choose to stay here Vs the typical properties we frequent.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. Right behind the Alamo.
- 4/5
Staff was super! Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do.
- 5/5
This is an historic hotel...so if you're expecting new and modern and uber luxurious it's not your place. However, if you like the quirk of an historic site, combined with cleanliness, friendliness, excellent location, and convenience this is where you want to be. Do not let area construction sway you otherwise. This IS a five/ten star experience.
- 5/5
Comfy
- 5/5
Beautiful and historic lobby. Easy walk to Alamo, Riverwalk, and Whataburger. Great hub for a San Antonio vacation. Wonderful staff. The rooms are cliché hotel rooms, and you notice the many layers of paint, yet they're meticulously clean. It was peaceful at night. Water temperature and pressure in the showers were wonderful, and everything was very clean and tidy.
- 1/5
We stayed for 3 nights. Room service is only upon request. I requested to have our trash emptied, and it was never emptied. My husband found an air pod under the night stand.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time and great location
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel and my room were clean. Excellent location to everywhere.
- 4/5
Everything was clean, except couldn’t get TV to work on local channels
- 5/5
While an older hotel, room was clean and comfortable, location was great, and onsite restaurant was nice. Would stay again.
- 2/5
Stay downstairs. The coffees pretty good.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
The rooms were nice. The hotel interesting. Maybe we heard ghosts. Unfortunately my room was just above some construction and I was awoken every morning at 5:45. Not the hotels fault and they were fully booked so I couldn't be moved. I’d I stay again I’ll book an interior room
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel in a great location
- 2/5
Staff was nice. Room needs updating.Shower runs out of hot water and has a very slow drain. If I had been properly informed that my room was just a few feet away from a construction site, I would have not stayed there. There was a loud alarm that went off every couple minutes from the construction site all night long. The workers started with electric saws and banging at 5:00 AM. I got NO sleep, and had to get up and drive four hours the next morning which caused me to be sleepy on my drive, and I had to stop to close my eyes.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, amenities
- 5/5
clean room, staff, amenities,
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for seeing things in the downtown area.
- 4/5
The hotel was great! The only reason I don't five star this is that $45 dollars a night for valet parking and no other reasonable option is ridiculous.
- 2/5
than 1 person checking in as everyoneTook 45 minutes. Did not tell us room service was request only? Why do we have to request for a stay longer only
- 5/5
The location is perfect for walking to the mall, the Riverwalk, The Alamo, and the many nearby shops. Everyone, whether checking in, valet, or at the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Very nice staff. Dated rooms in need of updates. Really enjoyed our stay.
- 2/5
The bed was horrid, and construction on the Alamo grounds right outside our window began at 6am….
- 1/5
First the picture did not add up to what wStaff was not friendly don’t not greet us. I said good morning nothing was said back not even a smile.
- 5/5
Staff is great
- 5/5
The room was spotless. All the staff was very helpful! We loved the tavern and the location was amazing with all the history!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Great room and location
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
Angelic in the tavern. Shes so sweet and and makes
- 4/5
Room was fine, toilet seat was broke on one side but not a big issue. Vending machines didn't work and the coffee shop/store closed at 1pm so if you want anything you better get it early or your walking awhile!
- 3/5
The toilet paper was out and had to go to the front desk to ask for one . Also the front desk didn’t ask the phone when we called. We called multiple times and they still didn’t answer. The actual room was okay but nobody came by to make our room. All in all it was below expectations.
- 5/5
Great place, neat atmosphere. Great bar and food.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was very friendly and the hotel was beautiful.
- 2/5
Valet parking, i had a good experience very quick and food in hotel was good.
- 5/5
Very nostalgic hotel with superb staff, amenities, and cleanliness. Enjoyed the Crockett Tavern and its delicious entrees! Harold the bartender was the BEST!!!
- 3/5
The man at the check-in counter was unfriendly. The street light outside our room was flickering and the shutters didn't completely block them out. The street traffic and voices of people on the street were audible, along with the construction late at night and early in the morning. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible for putting on makeup. I had to shine my phone flashlight on my face. They were supposed to make the bed each day. They didn't, which means they also didn't restock the coffee. The barista poured cold milk in my hot coffee latte and the microwave wasn't powerful enough to heat it up so she had to remake the drink. The tavern was understaffed to adequately service guests because of a very large group that they knew about in advance and the kitchen was closed to patrons as a result. Overall, not well managed or maintained.
- 5/5
C
- 4/5
Friendly and courteous staff. spacious clean room.
- 3/5
Air conditioning needs updated. Parking is way overpriced.
- 5/5
Room clean
- 1/5
We always check our room when we arrive,, but when we woke up the next day we noticed a couple blood spots on the comforter.,. We asked the front desk to change it out as we were going to be out for the day.. when we got back they never did. We ended up talking with the gm and he finally fixed it. On top of that the tv never worked. And they couldn’t figure it out. Plus the price we paid it should have included free parking. So if you stay here plan on paying 45 a night.
- 5/5
5 stars for the price and air was ice cold for two nights!
- 4/5
yes
- 4/5
Great location. Historic feeling.
- 4/5
Room was clean enough but shower could be updated. AC was old and noisy. Also you can hear some noise from tavern downstairs. The tavern and coffee shop is located at the same hotel which was very convenient. The location is perfect
- 5/5
All good, safe, clean and comfortable, the food of tavern it’s pretty good.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice!
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The staff was very helpful; valet, concierge, all staff that we had contact with. Room was clean, everything I'd expect from a hotel. Cafe had wonderful options and the morning line was never long. Location was perfect, overall a low traffic area but still within short walking distance to all downtown attractions. Will definitely stay here again
- 4/5
Room was great. Nice lobby and sitting areas. It was Rodeo, convention, and Valentine weekend so check in was a total nightmare with no rooms ready till after 4:00
- 4/5
great room, clean and well organized.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
I love this place
- 5/5
This place is a gem
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Love The Crockett. Have stayed here several times. Rooms are nice and location is great. Only issue this past visit was the heater couldn't blow hot air to heat up the room during the winter storm. Room could only get to 65 and would drop if we turned it off. Would be nice if the valet parking area could eventually become covered parking spaces to avoid weather related issues.
- 3/5
At these prices you'd get free breakfast at the Drury chain. It's located next to the Alamo and River Walk, but so are other options in the same price range with all the extra amenities that come with such prices. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking is only valet, which is unfortunate, but expected. The on site tavern and café are too pricy for the quality, so just walk off to the shops or River Walk. Ultimately, I'd stay with a better known chain, unless you just have to stay somewhere named after David Crockett.
- 4/5
Faucets in tub and sink were dripping water pressure was very good.staff was friendly and helpful. Location is excellent can walk anywhere
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, excellent location right across from the Alamo and river walk
- 3/5
Staff was great. The hotel itself is a bit dated. The bathroom was really in need of a remodel. The bathroom tub was chipping with paint and the water pressure was low. The hotel itself could use some fresh carpet and a coat of paint. It's a great location for walking but it's an older hotel. Clean, but very basic and old.
- 3/5
The room was great. We had the Reiter Suite. We wish we had been informed that the main feature, the balcony, was off limits. This really impacted how we felt about the hotel. Had we known, we would have requested a different room. The staff was not rude, but they were not friendly. They seemed indifferent and the customer service was lacking.
- 5/5
Everything clean and all staff were friendly
- 3/5
Room was okay. Water got hot but bathtub was clogged. There was also loud construction which started around 7
- 5/5
Clearn room, excellent staff, superb location, walkable to all the major sites.
- 4/5
Good check in, comfortable and convenient. Cool history.
- 5/5
Great Location next to the Alamo in easy walking distance to many San Antonio Experiences. Fun bar with good food. Historic and Genuinely Texan.
- 5/5
Eduardo was incredible. Had a problem with the rooms heat and it was made right immediately. Will stay here again.
- 1/5
Then there was just a putrid smell in the 7 floor hallway.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Everything was perfect all except the sound of a train every 15-20 min made sleeping difficult..great hotel but just bring some earplugs and some melatonin😄
- 1/5
Our room was not reserved and we got changed an extra $110 because they didn’t have our reservation
- 5/5
Great location. Room was very nice and the staff courteous.
- 5/5
Location is perfect. The staff amazing. The Tavern food drinks and staff. We loved. Luve music was a bonus. We will go back.
- 4/5
Property is clean and maintained but interior is a bit old and worm, Food and service was excellent.
- 3/5
Under construction inside and out of hotel . Front desk service greeted with no smile no welcome and I stood inn line while front desk talked on phone for 30 minutes before he said may I help you . Parking attended sleep on counter and ordered towels never arrived.
- 5/5
very friendly and helpful staff, clean place, great location, right next to the Alamo and less than 10 minutes to the Congress Center
- 2/5
Staff was friendly, room was clean.
- 4/5
Staff was great! Excellent vibe! Bathroom needs a little upgrade
- 5/5
The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was excellent, very professional, friendly, and polite. The amenities were excellent and the prices were reasonable. I will stay there again the next time I am in San Antonio.
- 3/5
Checked in before room was ready and front desk said they would place us and our family in another room on the same floor. When we went to check in later we were informed that there was a mistake and one of the rooms was already allocated. Due to the inconvenience, I was told my parking was comped. Despite this, I was charged $99 for parking and my messages thru the hotels.com app and through their website have gone unanswered. Would have been a decent stay if they kept their word.
- 5/5
Every was great. From check-in to check-out, all staff was friendly and efficient.
- 5/5
With The Alamo right out our window is gotta be a great hotel in a great location. Front Desk, Restaurant, and Valet made for an incredible visit!
- 4/5
Beds were very comfortable and it’s very close to the Alamo like right across the street
- 4/5
Staff was great and very helpful. Room could use some updating, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
- 5/5
Great location, older hotel but close to where you need to go, coffee and food available at the hotel so its convienant. I would
- 4/5
I had no issue with the room. But not happy at all with the valet parking. I was told I could leave my car there for 24 hours. They knew I had checked in or one night. When I checked out I was told I had to take the car out by 2 pm.
- 5/5
Great service and great location. The hotel was literally steps away from The Alamo. It was 2 blocks away from the Riverwalk and very safe to walk at any time of the day or night. Police patrolled this area 24 hours a day.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Clean comfy and friendly!
- 5/5
yes. Eduardo was great at check-in. He also provided us with great customer service throughout our stay!
- 1/5
Staff was non existent and the rooms were horrible
- 4/5
Parking was easy but a $45 charge, Room was clean, staff very helpful, bar had everything you need and good food, The only complaint was the mattress needs to be replaced in our room 611. Could feel the springs in the mattress.
- 4/5
The historical part was interesting
- 5/5
Room spotless amenities top best room is the Rodrigues suite
- 5/5
Love the location!
- 3/5
Very slow check in process, no convient outlet locations in room for plugging in iron.
- 4/5
Hotel is historic with vintage feel. Perfect location minutes from the Alamo and riverwalk. The room and restroom are small but not terribly. You have to expect valet parking because there’s nothing else nearby so add $45 daily fee. Great staff. Tv has dish network which was not working but we didn’t care since we were out mostly . Overall, nice option with reasonable pricing in the winter after holidays.
- 5/5
Perfect location!! Rooms were clean and comfy. Tavern had great food and drinks also live music
- 4/5
The room and the interior looked somewhat worn (esp. the bathroom and the coffee-maker), however the room unit was very clean and supplied with 2 bottles of water regularly. The staff was friedly.
- 2/5
Claims to be pet friendly but they are not.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The PARKING!! I paid $45 dollar just to park my car when on many other hotels it's free. They don't have a parking lot. If I knew about this, I wouldn't stay.
- 3/5
Location was very convenient. Room big, spacious cleanness was average. We were missing toilet paper called front service several times with no answer. We had to go down to reception and request it. Staff at checkout was Jesse he was excellent unlike Eduardo at check in that was unpleasant. Parking we choose valet which was a bit frustrating when everyone is leaving at same time and only one attendant was working. She eventually did get help. Overall place is nice, convenient will recommend.
- 5/5
The room was very clean bed was very comfortable. Loved that it located walking distance to many areas. I have to say staff was very nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Room was clean and adequate for 1 person. Bathroom clean and organized. Good accessories in room: fridge, iron, coffeepot, hairdryer.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Great time
- 2/5
The shower arm had a pin hole. Water went everywhere.
- 5/5
Older but very clean and good vibe. Super super close to the Riverwalk and Alamo. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Love to stay at the Crockett Hotel. The room is old and not very clean, but I love the location in the center of the Alamo, walking distance to the River Walk, the mall, and the trolley drop-off. Very convenient for people who don’t rent a car.
- 5/5
Great atmosphere
- 5/5
great place to stay
- 3/5
Parking was easy
- 4/5
Rooms were large and clean. Tavern was nice but music was not very entertaining. parking was hit and miss at times ob effeciency. Miles was great valet. Valet was convenient but expensive.
- 5/5
The room was large yet cozy! The pillows were some of the best in all my travels! The restaurant although going through a huge menu change was still serviced by a top notch server! Samantha was awesome!
- 4/5
The location was nice and central, close to the riverwalk, Alamodome, and downtown. We had a nice corner room, but construction at the Alamo started at 7:00am, so we had a couple of early mornings. The cleaning staff did not replenish our coffee, and the front desk was reluctant to share more than 2 at a time. Although the room had complimentary bottled water (for the first day), the water filling station was out of order, so we were thirsty.
- 5/5
Valet parking worked but pricey. We frolicked about. Good location for Alamo-area frolicking. Pet friendly.
- 5/5
Great atmosphere
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
No TV channels, the TV turned on, but thats about it. No local channels and even after we logged into netflix there was no wifi signal. The bathroom sink just kept making a weird clanking noise from the pipes and there was about 3 loud bangs outside our window on the 7th floor. Im assuming those noises were something either turning on or off that connects to the building.
- 5/5
Great place as always!
- 5/5
Everything was great!! Awesome walk to River walk.
- 3/5
Slow check in… waiter in restaurant was getting orders & billing mid
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location, good prices.
- 2/5
Lobby is nice, Tavern is nice. The rooms were dated, rooms were visibly worn out. Bathrooms also wornout and dated. Faucets did not function properly. Staff friendly, notably short handed. Likely will not book this location again.
- 5/5
Sad that u have to paid to park ur car in their parking lot… what hotels charges for that??? Who does that????? Bar was good room was clean and good
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice bar. Appreciated the 24 hour valet
- 3/5
Parking is a scam. 45$ a night to valet with no option for self parking that they don’t mention until you check out.
- 1/5
We stay at the Crockett every Christmas going back 30 years or so. The only time we did not was when they closed to renovate. The desk clerk was condescending and rude. The other desk clerk was polite and helpful to guest while I stood there listening to the person who checked us in. First issue we showed up at 3. Our desk clerk reminded me that check in was 4. I was aware of that but do to a long drive every year we sometimes have been able to check in at 3. No b deal. Our Clerk reminded me rudely several times check in was 4 and we would probably have to wait. All this is being said while the other younger desk clerk politely advised his guest "no problem. let's see what we can do." Polar opposite from the attitude I got. I watched 3 different guests get checked in during my wait with this clerk. He seemed bent out of shape that I was willing to wait for a room. Like I said we just had a long drive and to go until we check in. Issue number 2 - Our room was 76 degrees when we walked in. I tried to adjust the thermostat to 70. The display on the Thermostat blanked out and scrambled the display every time I touched it. Waited 30 minutes for the A/C to kick on. I am an operations Director at a 132 bed facility so I have decades of experience with AC systems The compressor would never kick on. I went back to the counter and asked the same clerk to get someone to look at it. Once again, he was rude and "bothered" that I would ask. No AC all night. Never worked
- 4/5
Rooms were very clean. The staff were really nice. The only thing that can be improved is the rooms can be updated. The rooms are outdated but they serve there purpose.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and the hotel looked great
- 5/5
Always a great stay, great staff, location awesome, now owned by the state of Texas. Next to Mission and easy walk to River Walk. Rooms small but really nice.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
valet parking was used and they were quick to get my car.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Courteous staff. Lovely historical hotel with a great location that is close to the Alamo and Riverwalk. They didn't even charge me for a late check out, which was nice. 8/10 Would recommend.
- 5/5
Very cool hotel with very friendly staff. Rome was clean and exactly as expected
- 3/5
Room, staff, amenities, valet
- 1/5
Staff
- 3/5
The hotel was very nice, I like the historic feel of it. My only complaint was the construction outside our window every morning at 6-7 am. Why would the city build a modern looking building between two historic sites?!?!
- 5/5
Quaint, lovely hotel with pleasant staff, clean rooms. Special shoutout to Hannah in the cafe for the nicest service and the prettiest smile!!
- 5/5
Great staff! Clean rooms and excellent environment!
- 4/5
Yes
- 2/5
Had terrible experience long wait for check in and had false fire alarm go off had to climb out fire exit outside to fire escape outside of building we were on top floor my wife was scare the stairs were very wobbly very scary and there was no communication
- 2/5
We were very excited to stay in the suite and then we got there and were informed the balcony was unusable and as we started looking around the room, the sheets had stains, the pillows were hard and they didn’t even clean it and I found someone’s contacts on the alarm clock!
- 2/5
Check in was rough. Had to wait 45 minutes in line to even check in. Rooms weren’t ready well after 4pm check in time. And around midnight alarm was going off to evacuate the building. Wasn’t my best experience.
- 1/5
First of all, I have never paid a $125 nonrefundable pet fee and $45 for parking. These fees were about as much as the room charge. That is ridiculous. I'll never stay there again. Then apparently someone pulled the smoke alarm at 12:30. All guests had yo evacuate their room. We were on the 5th floor and had to go down 5 flights of stairs. Both my Mom and i have back and leg problems and it was very painful abd for nothing. By the time we got to the lobby, we learned it was a false alarm. There was no hotel staff in the lobby or directing guests. It was mayhem. Don't know what would have happened if it was an actual fire. Overall it was not a good experience.
- 5/5
Very nice atmosphere
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
good location, nice historic feel
- 5/5
Perfect location! The hotel is vintage and charming. Staff was friendly and room was clean.
- 5/5
Everything was great, will be back
- 4/5
the hotel was really good, staff friendly and overall good. i did have an issue at check in but was not the hotels fault it was Expedia, this is the second time they do it. i book a King size and i end up with queen. again when i showed them my booking and then they said that expedia booked a queen. but other than that i would say parking is terrible in any downtown areas, and very expensive
- 4/5
Valet was great, though we didn’t know prior that valet was the only option for parking. 50.00 a day. There was a dirty towel in bathroom but quickly removed. On our last day alarm went off stating to take stairs out. Got to lobby rather confused because some people seems unbothered by the alarm. The gentleman at the front desk informed us this was a scheduled test and apologized that nobody informed us prior. Great walking distance to many things.
- 5/5
Nostalgia
- 5/5
The nostalgia and the atmosphere of the hotel, the rooms were spacious. We love the accessibility to all the river walk and downtown San Antonio had to offer. Would definitely come back to this hiotel.
- 5/5
The room was awesome. I loved how the windows faced into the lobby. That was something new for me and quite unique. The Staff was great. Eduardo was friendly and helpful in finding us a room.
- 2/5
Loved the staff. When we got into room one of the bottled waters was half empty and a bug was in shower.
- 2/5
The tub was covered in pink stains and the room was dirty. The walls are not adequately insulated, so you can hear other’s conversations and live music coming from the tavern.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, quiet and comfortable room, fantastic location with so many great spots in walking distance.
- 3/5
Everything was extremely good. 3 nights of 4. Its one if those old hotels with character that i like a lot. Unfortunately last night (Thursday) someone decided to clean the kitchen with a LOUD pressure washer coming from an even louder running Truck At 1 am !!!!!!!
- 5/5
Old with a lot of history. Rooms were small but very clean and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Clean little hotel right in the middle of down town. Super close to giant mall and local attraction - Alamo
- 4/5
I enjoyed my four-night stay immensely. The hotel could use some updating, to be sure, but my room was big and’s clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. If you want a plush hotel to hang out in the room, this might not be the place for you. But if you want a nice, clean room in a nice location at a good price, this might be it.
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff, clean, great location
- 5/5
Clean, safe, great location
- 4/5
Except for construction (I’m assuming temporary) and some late night ambient sound (not sure if that’s temporary or regular), it was a great stay. Good accommodations, excellent on-site food, and quick access to the River Walk, the Alamo (literally right next door), and the surrounding area.
- 4/5
Also, the bar did not carry expresso so I could not have an expresso martini. Otherwise, the bar selection was adequate. All staff we came across were courteous and well informed.
- 3/5
Coffee maker water reservoir was full of mold. Coffe bar in the lobby opens at 6:30 am, too late in the morning for early risers. The 3 times we came by for coffee/hot chocolate the barista was MIA and had to look for her or wait on her.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Clean, historical, customer friendly. Loved it.
- 5/5
Muy complacido con todo
- 4/5
Its an older typical hotel. The location is wonderful! steps outside the alamo Plaza and a few steps to a indoor mall.
- 4/5
Very clean room, friendly staff, full of historic stuff to read everywhere. Nice bar with live music.
- 5/5
Really clean rooms!
- 5/5
Great price, great location. Restaurant and coffee shop had delicious food and drinks.
- 5/5
Very peaceful place. Love the restaurant on this property and many things are at walking distance.
- 3/5
Room was clean and in good condition. Convenient to Alamo. It would be nice if they offered breakfast
- 5/5
Nice hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff, great location. I appreciated that the breakfast bar remained open until 1pm, and that there is a full service restaurant/tavern onsite serving all day and evening. As expected from a historic hotel, our room was small, but it was certainly adequate. Unlike most chain hotels, the excellent housekeeping staff serviced our room every day, replenishing towels and amenities. It was a pleasure to return every evening to a room that was clean, tidy and welcoming. Spending a week here was a positive experience and I’m happy to recommend.
- 4/5
Everything was good. We Had room 213 and outside our window you could see the front desk and at midnight when we were trying to sleep a drunk man and the clerk were talking loud for 20 min straight, they both were super loud and it felt they were in our room but other than that it was good
- 3/5
The room was incredibly small! Check in was not good! The clerk almost ran me over with a luggage cart. Then as I stood at the desk he was chatting with a female at the tavern door for 10 mins or so. I finally walked over and said how do I check in? He said oh I didn’t see you but was looking right at me then I asked about breakfast and he said ai isn’t accurate…..was pretty snarky. I asked for coffee pods for day 2 and was told they were out. It just wasn’t very hospitality focused

courteous staff

Location and service
- 5/5
This hotel is rich with history and so authentic! Very clean and very close to shopping and the Alamo.
- 5/5
clean room great staff
- 5/5
This is my fav place in San Antonio, valet parking makes everything easy and you can walk everywhere
- 5/5
The hotel was a lot of fun! The hotel's history was fascinating. The staff was great, and the room was perfect, being just a stone's throw from the River Walk.
- 5/5
Loved the old school vibe of the place!
- 4/5
Close by riverwalk! Nice hosts.
- 5/5
We love the Crocket! It is in the perfect location for San Antonio tourist. Super easy to walk anywhere. Its always clean and smells amazing throughout the hotel!
- 5/5
Yes Valet is fast, courtesy and friendly
- 4/5
Great location! Friendly staff!
- 1/5
We came for the pool, but the whole thing was very disappointing.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel lobby smells wonderful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend
- 3/5
The hotel in general was nice. Our room could have been better. The tv wouldn’t turn on. Well, it wasn’t plugged in. Not that big of deal. The refrigerator didn’t work. The biggest thing I didn’t like was that they controlled the room air conditioner. Ours would not get below 71. I like a cool room when I sleep and it was warm in there. There’s plenty of other hotels in the area for cheaper price that will let you control your room temp.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and secure. Staff was accommodating and pleasant.
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Was a great location from our meeting hotel. Shopping and dining were available within walking distance
- 5/5
Comfortable, quiet, tavern was very convenient for food and entertainment.
- 1/5
The room had a dirty feel to it. The Air Conditioner did not work the entire first day we were there. I called down to have it fixed they said they would let me know and never did. The bath tub and sink would not drain properly like it had a clog. We would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
It’s convenient and this time I slept better. Lol. No complaints.. Slept on 6th floor previously and I got spooked. I have stayed numerous times before never experienced it until I slept on the 6th floor. Staff is awesome. I love staying there. Will come back ..always do…but not to the 6th floor. Lol.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Clean room and nice staff. But the room location (on the interior courtyard of the hotel) was extremely noisy early in the morning and in the evenings.
- 5/5
An old hotel in great shape and very close to the sites we wanted to visit.
- 5/5
Everything and everyone
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, staff nice. Little pricey for valet but service was great.
- 5/5
Clean room, outstanding service and great location
- 5/5
Loved the decor!
- 4/5
The room was fine, fairly average for a decent, clean hotel room. Our room was small, but sufficient for us (it was also advertised as a smaller room). My only complaint was that the water pressure in the shower was incredibly weak. All in all, it was a nice stay. Friendly customer service by the valets and front desk at a great location with an affordable price (via Hotels.com). Also, spring for the parking add on from Hotels.com. It saves you around $20+. The only parking is valet and it's $45 at the hotel.
- 3/5
The staff especially the one desk clerk was helpful. He was able to get me into a different hotel Monday night after they did not have my reservation, despite booking it through Expedia weeks ago, and the hotel was booked I wasn’t happy. Not sure how my reservation fell through the cracks. Someone screwed up. Both rooms I had were nice. The Menger appears a little updated than Crockett. I like the location and proximity of both to the Alamo and Riverwalk.
- 3/5
We didn’t have hot water last night and the next morning
- 5/5
Clean historic hotel next to Alamo and shopping mall. Best location for tourists

This historic hotel has some beautiful architecture. The AC was not working properly in our room, but maintenence came quickly when we called to ask about it. The only available lot for parking is extremely expensive, so valet is the only real option, but it's $50 per night with tax. So make sure to include that when comparing room prices.
- 1/5
There was construction noise including at 6am. No housekeeping services for my 2 night stay.
- 5/5
Room was super clean and cool. Staff was very friendly and informative. Parking was safe and at ease valet was the best choice no issues with parking or getting car when requested. Overall satisfied
- 1/5
Air conditioning didn't work, toilet ran non stop and the bed was a thin piece of paper. Laps were incredibly hard to turn the knobs. Rooms are in need of an upgrade. It was like staying at your grandparents house. Old and tired.
- 5/5
Loved our stay but could be updated a tad but great for the price and location. Beautiful old hotel.
- 4/5
Restaurant was lovely, great selection of dishes & food came out quickly.
- 3/5
- great, responsive staff. CJ and Eduardo were both great, incredibly respectful, and followed up on problems. - location, cost Con: had AC issues all weekend, beds are TERRIBLE, bathrooms very aged. Would like access to grab and go cafe items later, everything closes really early.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The building was beautiful!
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was courteous, but liked to remind us we booked 3rd party,
- 3/5
It was okay we had three roaches in our room. The water in the bathtub was hard to adjust to the right temperature to shower. Bathroom was too small for comfort.
- 5/5
Short walking distance to the Riverwalk and Rivercenter; so, it was close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, lots of amenities.
- 3/5
The staff was awesome! The hotel was a bit outdated, but overall we enjoyed ourselves.
- 3/5
Historical building in great location. Unfortunately the original room was extremely noisy. Like inside a power plant. The staff kindly provided us with a much better choice, but overall the rooms need some TLC. There is no room service and the restaurant and bar close early and in between meals...Paris???
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. I look forward to staying here for a couple of weeks next year.
- 5/5
What a wonderful, historic hotel! Close to Riverwalk, Alamodome, and, of course, right beside the Alamo! Staff were very nice. Smooth check in. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Best location!!!
- 5/5
Hotel has the old world charm, close to Alamo and shops in walking distance. I would stay there again .
- 5/5
Location is fantastic. Walking distance to everything.
- 3/5
Valet being $45.00/night + tip is ridiculous. The king room was just ok. I understand it's an historical hotel but it can use an update. A simple new showerhead would be great. The bathroom itself can use an overhaul. I will not be staying here again.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Front desk staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Room was functional and pleasing to look at. Very convenient to attractions, restaurants, and transportation. I would definitely stay at the Crockett again if I return to San Antonio and would definitely recommend it to others.
- 1/5
We were asked twice for our credit card. We noticed charge for room and two deposits. I attempted to explain this to the front desk but two employees, without looking at my account, kept inappropriately blurting out that it was for deposit and that they would never run a card twice, but they did and it happened when we were there. There was only one intelligent front desk person CJ that did the right thing and looked at our reservation and saw what had occurred and promised to fix it. We prepaid in July through Expedia. At checkout, the front desk clerk refused to give us a receipt to show charges were reversed. We have over $500 still showing up pending on my credit card. The air conditioner was not working and maintenance came in to fix it but it stopped working again in the middle of the night and we woke up two days in a row to a 80 degree room. The tub was dirty. Very stressful stay. The bar and restaurant area was okay and the staff there were friendly. It was walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk.
- 5/5
Parking was easy with valet. Very nice people.
- 2/5
Check in , clerk took 2 calls for reservations while I was checking in, interrupting check in. Deal with the customer in front of you first! AC didn’t work, miserable stay!
- 5/5
Fun, historic hotel in the heart of SA. room was comfortable, We had a king suite with plenty of space. It was very clean, just dated decor which actually lends to the historic charm. Front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Cafe food was quick and affordable for an easy breakfast.
- 5/5
Great Staff, good customer service, very clean and professional. We are repeat customers of The Crockett.
- 5/5
Loved the property and room. Kind of an out of the way location but we were we needed to be for the River Walk. Didn’t have complimentary coffee or water in the lobby.
- 5/5
Our stay at the Crockett Hotel was wonderful from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly and it was terrific to stay in a place so close to the Alamo and the Riverwalk.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Everything good , but parking is expensive
- 5/5
good food and service at the Tavern.
- 5/5
We loved the historical property itself, and the fact it is so close to the Alamo and all the dining/shopping options. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Good hotel for our purposes. Better value than the brand name hotel nearby where our conference was located. Saved us a little $$. But overall the rooms are a little dated but fairly comfortable. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Tho so an older property so expect some fitting and furnishings to be dated
- 5/5
Valet parking was easy and service at the valet and front desk was quick and staff is friendly. The hotel is in a nice location and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Valet took care of vehicle
- 1/5
Horrible staff very rude and not experienced. Never will I return. Also no water and no way to resolve it.
- 5/5
Fabulous place to stay, highly recommend
- 5/5
Location wonderful. Staff accommodation to parking our car and bikes was very good. Would stay here again when in San Antonio.
- 5/5
Price was great and super close to the river walk
- 3/5
It was okay
- 5/5
Had to use vallet.
- 4/5
The hotel had mandatory valet that is $50 a night that they do not tell you about until you are here. No breakfast onsite but close enough to walk and get breakfast
- 5/5
We always enjoy our stay at the Crockett hotel
- 5/5
Everything else still earns an excellent review.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and quiet. Centrally located. Good bar and restaurant on site.
- 5/5
Great room with comfortable bet. Wish pillows were upgraded but greatly enjoyed myself. Good locat. Restraunt on site is very good.
- 2/5
Great location but is a Historic Hotel. The amenities reflect this. Unfortunately, there was no cold water to the shower. The hotel sent someone to fix and it never happened.
- 4/5
Great spot, room was kind of small
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
Great location; older building in need of some updates; tub didn’t drain
- 5/5
Riverwalk nearby
- 5/5
Loved the Crockett! Very historic.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Great history and beautiful hotel. Central location within walking distance to River Walk and shopping. Clean, nice staff. Only problem was no self parking, Valet only and it was in my opinion over priced. 45.00 per day for my car to sit in an open parking lot that i could have driven into myself, on same grounds as hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The room was clean, cool and quiet. I just wish they had a microwave in the room. Staff were nice and friendly. Convenient location. Its walking distance to Henry B. Convention, Rivercenter mall, the riverwalk, the Alamo and so many others.
- 5/5
Great location its many nearby amenities for a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
The staff and facility were exceptional. Highly recommend and if I come back to San Antonio will stay here
- 5/5

- 5/5
Good location. Walkable distance to Riverw a lk and the Alamo.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Very nice stay
- 5/5
Great customer service but can be loud if you r room is near a balcony room.
- 5/5
Really cool hotel with lots of history. Staff is super friendly. Rooms could be updated some but very large.
- 5/5
Location, location, location! Right next door to the Alamo and a easy walk to the river walk! The valet, Estephan was wonderful and extremely helpful. Check in/out was a breeze and the Tavern food was great!
- 5/5
Tables outside need to be cleared and cleaned before the next morning
- 5/5
Will stay again and refer Best. Todd Stetson
- 5/5
We loved the atmosphere of the hotel. The room was quaint and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom shower and toilet were very dated.
- 5/5
Could not have been better! Great host, super walkable, would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Clean Room | Great location | historical building | staff wasn’t very knowledgeable about the area | bartenders and food service staff could have been friendlier | rooms need to be updated.
- 5/5
Excellent staff.
- 5/5
The decor fit the name. Comfortable hotel in a perfect location when touring the city.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean & accessible
- 5/5
This was a great historic hotel close to The Alamo! It was walkable to almost everything, including the Riverwalk. Will visit again.
- 5/5
Being pet friendly was great - they have a nice little grassy dog area outside which was perfect. It’s close to everything, and the staff was super friendly.
- 5/5

👏

We were there Thursday till Sunday. In Saturday night out neighbors next to us were smoking weed. The smell came into our room. We did complain and police were call but nothing else was done. Mind you I have small children inhaling the smell. They offered us 2 rooms with standard beds since that all that was left but declined because I wasn’t going to allow my 10 year old and 8 year old to sleep alone in a room. I asked for a refund for at least one of the night and the hotel and expidia refused to.
- 5/5
Had such a great stay and great first time in Texas! The staff was so friendly and attentive (especially Eduardo at the front desk), the hotel was in the perfect location, and the food was great. I can’t wait to be back in Texas and to stay here again!
- 3/5
Beds were hard and uncomfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel. Highly recommend
- 2/5
Had flashing lights coming thru our window from street light all night long . It was reflecting on our room wall all night long . Other than that everything else was ok. Lights next to room kept flickering a lot As well.
- 5/5
The rooms are old but clean. I really enjoyed my stay as it was within walking distance to downtown and the river walk. Definitely would recommend it
- 5/5
The room was so comfy!

.
- 5/5
We love staying here! So close to everything downtown!
- 5/5
The convenience of the location is awesome. Though there were some signs of age, the room was comfortable and clean. The only negative was the hair dryer in my room didn’t work.
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful. Stacy really helped us out. She made our trip so much better. I will be coming back
- 3/5

- 1/5
Tv didn’t work desk clerk didn’t answer phone couldn’t find entrance room very small faucet link all night
- 1/5
The ac did not work good in our room . Up on checking in our room I was scared and nervous. Due to their was a security guard taking care of somebody that shouldn’t have been in there hotel I have never been to sanantonio this was my first time . Up on checking in they did not tell me how much parking would be a night . And also they would charge another 100.00 to my card . The people that worked there dident explain where anything was at . This was my first and my last time . I would not recommend this place to any body .very unsatisfied .
- 5/5
