However, the hotel's aging infrastructure and ongoing construction in the surrounding area have led to some inconveniences and discomfort for guests, including issues with air conditioning, plumbing, and noise levels.

Considering we stayed in one of the Victorian room, it was disappointing to find hair and grime in the fridge, grime on the windows, excess cleaner residue on the furniture, a half broken arm on one of the chairs, a horribly dirty vent above the shower, and paint splatters on the bathroom tile. Additionally, housekeeping almost barged in around 9AM on our checkout day to clean the room, despite us having declined housekeeping. On a positive note, the rest of the room itself was clean, the room itself was well decorated, and the sheets were not suspect. For the price, the room was not worth it. While a finicky shower and air conditioning is justifiable considering the "historic" nature of the hotel, the shoty paint, flimsy solo cups, and disrepair of the room tell me that either the hotel is being mismanaged in certain departments or the company in charge of the hotel is not being allowing employees to do their jobs. The front desk staff were helpful, but the valet returned my car with an aggressive amount of bird excrement splattered across my windshield and hood. Hopefully these conditions improve, but next time we will likely just stop by the bar.

Good location. Lots of history Bathtub faucet didnt shut off. Room service never answered the phone.

Location, history, historical displays throughout the first level
- 1.5/5
Pool was great. Ambience in the hotel was nice. Did have coffee maker and water bottles available. Air conditioning was broke and they had no other rooms available. They did reimburse for the night, but had no solution to relieve the heat (like fans). The shower is very old and cracked. There was no added amenities like make up wipes, q-tips, bar soap. There was shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The valet did not have our car ready. Requested the car at 3am on the app. When we went down at 3:25. She said she never received it. Said she would have the car to us quickly. We waited again for a while to get the car. Be aware that the request on app for your car is not always going through. I’d send someone down to check if you are in a hurry to leave.
- 5/5
The food was good. The bar was nice. The room and environment and hotel were lovely. Definitely will go back.
- 2/5
Location was great No bed skirt on one of the beds. Told housekeeping they never came back to put one on. Rooms were warm. Pool water very cloudy. TV stand was very dusty you could write your name on it. The staff member that checked us in was not friendly at all.
- 2/5
We went on a recommendation hoping to enjoy the our 3 night stay and dreaded going back to the room each night. After moving from a room that the temperature wouldn’t get below 79, we moved to a room that wouldn’t get below 78. We were told by maintenance that it’s just an old hotel and they couldn’t do anything about it. We were given a box fan to help. The hotel was beautiful, we just didn’t enjoy sleeping in the heat.
- 3/5
Try and stay in the original building. It's more beautiful.
- 5/5
Great place to stay at nice historical
- 4/5
Helful staff
- 4/5
Location where you can walk to everything. I love th history of the hotel. Parking was not very budget friendly. This needs to be explained better while booking. No restaurant to speak of. Not an ice machine working on any of the 5 floors. . Management seemed to be lacking.
- 5/5
The rich history of the hotel was awesome and the location to the Riverwalk and Mall was a plus. Right next to the Alamo! Overall very clean hotel with comfortable beds and super friendly staff. 11/10 on our stay & will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you Menger Hotel for making our 10 year anniversary trip a special memory! I have no complaints!
- 0.5/5
The lobby was very nice The AC was not working we reached out to staff unfortunately the person we spoke to was uninterested and said someone would come look at the AC but no one ever did. Also said they are fully booked so they are not able to move us to a different room and we could try to find a different hotel. Always wanted to stay at the Menger we should have stuck to the Crockett. Room is also very small.
- 2/5
The swimming pool only one elevator working, parts of the lobby did not fear the air condition
- 4/5
Centrally located. Lot of history. My room wasn’t serviced every day. One of the elevators was out.
- 4/5
The staff went above to help when the a/c in our room went out. They moved us into another room at midnight. Staff was.very polite and professional. We will stay there again

- 3/5
My son and I stayed in a petite room with a king size bed. It was the perfect size for 2 people, at a great price. The location is excellent. The issues: the room was hot! You can’t adjust the temp at all. They had box fans you can ask to use but it was still too hot to sleep. The bed was uncomfortable. I felt every spring. The pillows too firm. Neck pain. The hot water handle in the shower leaked so it made the handle super hot to turn off. Not to mention hard to turn completely off. I had to use a rag not to burn my hand. The walls are thin so you will hear all the bumps and door slams from your neighbors. The staff didn’t seem like happy people but I just got my room key and that’s it as far as interactions with them. The pool was DISGUSTING! My son was upset we couldn’t use it. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I tried the older section of the hotel. Maybe it’s just the side I was on.
- 5/5
I was only there for one night but the staff was extremely accommodating and actually moved me to a different room because the one I booked was going to be too hot. It is an amazing historical very well preserved Hotel and a place every true Texan should visit.
- 1.5/5
Location is great No cleaning during all the stay ☹️. Odors in the hotel.
- 1.5/5
Location is perfect! Our room was 85 degrees. No a/c. Horrible night sleeping. Then then brought us a fan with. Token blade!! I’m still tired from no sleep!!!
- 5/5
The room was fantastic and at a great rate. The atmosphere of the hotel is worth a stay. Will definitely be back!
- 4/5
It was a good experience over all. It’s obviously older so it has its quarks. I didn’t mind most of them. Hotel is clean but our bathtub was leaking. Other than that we had the best time.
- 5/5
Love the hotel. Disappointed they discontinued the fragrance. Always looked forward to the Menger smell!!!!
- 3/5
Very worn down property. Great location.
- 5/5
Location fantastic.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel. We were in the Victorian section and although the room had been updated the shower was not ideal with a retro fitted shower head that was about 5 ft tall. The elevator for our section was not functional, and we had to walk around the floor to an elevator on the opposite side of the hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, but this was the first time staying on the original Victorian section.
- 5/5
Love staying here when I visit SA
- 5/5
I am drawn to the Alamo so I loved this hotel which has an entrance to the Alamo courtyard. I loved the historic furnishings in my room and Kcup coffee maker and bottled water and the mini fridge. Then there was a heavy dps presence which made me feel safe. Wifi worked well.
- 5/5
Great hotel and property. We love traveling to downtown centers and staying at older historic hotels!!
- 3/5
The history of the hotel is neat, but doesn't make up for the heat of the rooms. Because of its age, they can only do heat or AC and the temperature of all rooms is set by the hotel. We were uncomfortably hot most of the time in May. At the price point and prestige of this hotel, I expected more.
- 5/5
Rain Storm rolled in with a great view And great breakfast burrito Just wished the balcony was fixed and open
- 5/5
I loved the history and character of the hotel, (but also that it is fully modernized). We had a very enjoyable stay. It is a beautiful hotel, the room was very comfortable, and the location is excellent.
- 5/5
Great hotel.. no ghosts
- 5/5
I love the history behind the Menger Hotel. It was like a walk through time. The rooms were well maintained and it was a very peaceful experience.
- 4/5
I was able to fit in our toilet, but if I was anyone else in my family, not so much. May need to make a small sink cabinet in there. Very time space for taking care of your business…
- 5/5
Fantastic place. Staff at reception weren't as professionally trained as at the big chains. Though they'd be a little friendlier and professional. Room had some blemishes I pointed out that were minor but need attention - leaky tub faucet. Missing pictures on wall. But overall a fun and delightful stay.
- 5/5
We understand that this is a historic property, but some areas, particularly the floors and bathrooms, could benefit from additional maintenance and updates. We heard that renovations are planned soon, which is exciting. We hope they are able to preserve the hotel's stunning architecture and historic ambiance while making the necessary improvements. One thing we especially loved was the comfort of the beds—they were exceptionally comfortable. Overall, it was a memorable stay and a great experience for anyone who appreciates history and unique hotels.
- 5/5
Great location next to the Alamo and excellent value for money.
- 3/5
San Antonio itself doesn't have much to offer. The Riverwalk is pretty, but the food is par, even for Tex-Mex. The Menger charged restaurant/food to my credit card that were false. When attempting to contact the front desk, was transferred to billing whose voicemail box was full and not accepting additional messages, leaving me with no way to dispute the charge except through my credit card company.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and the hotel was beautiful. Be prepared if you’re given one of the original old rooms for the shower water to be extremely finicky. It alternated from scalding hot to freezing cold depending on if someone in any number of other rooms used their bathroom. So that made showering unpleasant, but that was the only downside to our stay. The newer rooms didn’t seem to have that issue. Also, the pool was nice. The breakfast tacos were excellent!
- 5/5
This is my place to stay all the time.
- 2/5
Difficult to get them to clean the room, getting clean towels or toilet paper.
- 4/5
Location can’t be beat. My window overlooked the Alamo grounds. Staff very helpful. Even burritos at the Menger Bar were spot on.
- 3/5
The room was clean but the amenities like tv remote and body wash were missing. They even allotted my room to another person who ended up coming into the room while I was inside the room.
- 5/5
Super nice and convenient near downtown
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Had no idea this is a haunted hotel when I booked it. But overall it was a nice stay and I would stay again. Rooms are massive!!! Very good value. A few things could use updating but otherwise great.
- 3/5
The historical hotel was neat but needed some updates and cleaning.
- 1/5
Overall just I don’t care attitude and the place was in poor shape no elevator etc
- 3/5
It was an okay stay. Nothing bad, nothing great. Pay and stay. Valet is expensive for an unsecured parking lot. Our bathtub faucet was running when we got to room and handle was stuck so couldn't turn it off. Brought it up to staff and the reply was "ok thanks for letting us know". It was as if other tenants have had the same complaint.
- 5/5
I love the ambiance. I feel as if I am back in time.
- 3/5
The stay was ok. But definitely try something different the next time
- 3/5
We were in room 4026. After looking on the 4th floor finally found our room on the 5th floor!! Elevator by the room was out of order. Had to walk a long way to get to a working Elevator.
- 4/5
Historic hotel in the thick of it
- 5/5
Minimum eating in the hotel itself. Really missed the formal dining room that use to be open for brunch and dinner.
- 4/5
The staff checking in were great but when we checked out the lady was very unprofessional. She was talking with a customer about the Spurs game and completely ignoring me. Not even an acknowledgment maybe a “ I’ll be with you in a moment” nothing. The person before me also became upset as he was also treated the same way. I do want say that I originally was to pay once price through Expedia but when we arrived at the property I was charged more. Had I known this I would’ve booked elsewhere. I would verify before booking through Expedia. As far as the hotel, it was amazing! It was clean and well maintained, great pool. So conveniently close to the Alamo, the Shops at Rivercenter. So much to do nearby. Very convenient. We had a great time!
- 4/5
Nice place
- 3/5
Ac sucked in room
- 5/5
Excellent location and staff.
- 4/5
That said, there were a few cleanliness issues. The carpets in the hallways upstairs were dirty (as in not well vacuumed) as well as stained in several areas. Just not super well kept. Also our bathroom was not totally cleaned. Toilet seat had some residue on it. That being said, my spouse and I are pretty low maintenance people, so this did not throw off our stay. We loved the atmosphere and beauty of the hotel, as well as the incredible location right next to the Alamo and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
convenient location, historic building, staff were short and rude but always said polite words yet not helpful at front desk sometimes. beautiful rooms with charm but the elevator was out and there were many fans due to inadequate ac working. the exterior had charms but also needs an update
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
I love the hotel, the history of the hotel. I love the exact location of the hotel. It has a lot of history when it comes to civilization in America I’m from Detroit, Michigan and I really love the experience of staying near the Alamo. I would do it again and I will recommend anyone who’s going to stay there in the future to make sure you spend time in the Alamo. It’s a lot of history to learn. I consider myself a historian.
- 3/5
It is a historic and very old hotel. Our room did not meet standards for cleanliness and maintenance; the shower in the bathroom had leaks that kept us from sleeping, and the cold water tap was extremely stiff to open and close.
- 5/5
Excellent experience would definitely recommend to others
- 2/5
The water regulations are not good could not get a good swower
- 4/5
Thankd
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Loved the location. Loved the history. However, it needs updating and repair- examples- room darkening curtains torn and w holes, sliding door track filthy and old, mildew in tub/ shower, major tear in bed skirt
- 1/5
Several significant issues negatively impacted my visit: Unjustified High Costs & Parking Fees: The nightly rate is incredibly high for the quality of the hotel. To make matters worse, there is no included parking. I was charged an additional, exorbitant fee of $60 just for overnight parking. Poor Room Conditions: The air conditioning in my room was not working properly, making for a very uncomfortable and frustrating environment. Lack of Basic Amenities: Despite the high cost of the room, there is no complimentary breakfast offered. Furthermore, there was no microwave in the room, which is a standard convenience at most modern hotels. Unhelpful Customer Service: The level of hospitality was incredibly disappointing. I received zero assistance from the hotel staff when I needed it, making me feel completely unsupported as a guest. Overall, the combination of a huge price tag, extra parking fees, lack of modern comforts, malfunctioning climate control, and indifferent service made for a very poor value. I would not recommend this hotel to fellow travelers expecting standard amenities and reliable customer service.
- 2/5
I first stayed in this historical hotel 3 years ago with my 88 yo mother and the place was fantastic. Well, all I can say is this hotel has fallen from its way. No daily room service, no replenishment of water, coffee, or towels. Expect to spend a premium price for not so premium services. Parking is $54 a night and the valet attendants expect a tip, which I provided when the services were adequate. Expect dirty hallways with dirty dishes and laundry bins right out your door. Expect a dirty pool area in the morning to look at as well. Im sorry but this hotel is filthy. I've stayed three years in a row but never again. The hotel operator, I swear, was trained in handling irate guests. Nice work Menger staff, you just lost a customer forever. Skip this place and book the Crocket Hotel right next door. Better restaurant, better bar and a staff that will go out of their way to make you happy. And did I mention the Menger restaurant closes at 8pm with no morning coffee service. Just an extremely crappy stay!
- 4/5
Great stay staff were fantastic helped with a late checkout...couple of issues they don't provide full housekeeping just replace things and for the 4 days we were there dirty glasses in the hallway that were never picked up . I understand it's a super old building but it's a shame you can't open the windows
- 5/5
Great location! Enjoyed our quick stay.
- 3/5
Great location by river walk. No restaurant in hotel. Tiny, very dark, room. Beautiful, historical hotel. Fair price.
- 4/5
Everything was very nice except parking and the lack of restaurant. The Taco place on site is very nice but is not a full service restaurant. Free Coffee in the lobby would've thrilled me. Hors de oeuvres or potato Chips and dip in the bar would've been awesome. The parking is stupid. Very nice valets take your car across the street to the public parking lot. Then the charge is separate from the hotel's. I think it IS cheaper than the city charge, but still...Everything else was extremely great.
- 4/5
I liked how beautiful the place was, but I think the showers need a little upgrade. Water temp fluctuates and the pressure was not the best.
- 2/5
Negatives; Having to pay so much for parking. Two nigh stay $125. Parking fee. Shower water was burning hot for 10 seconds followed by freezing cold the next 10 seconds, regardless of where the faucets were set at. Coffee maker worked part time and outlets required way too much effort.
- 4/5
Great area with everything you need within walking distance. Feel safe and secure.
- 5/5
It would not hurt to put a link to the valet parking area on the website or travel apps you use.
- 5/5
The hotel had a lot of character too. The toughest part was driving there. Google thinks you have to walk to get there.
- 5/5
Very classy establishment. Right next door to the Alamo. Not a mass-market deal. Bit of character.
- 1/5
Old stinky place. I never stay here again
- 5/5
Very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Will be returning very satisfied
- 5/5
This place is amazing . I’m a fan of antique and I’m mesmerized all the time . We always stay here when we visit SA .
- 4/5
What we liked and disliked were the same things. We like the fact the historical nature of the hotel and staying in the historical area of the hotel. Historical hotels always have some quirks. Lack of electrical outlets is common as is a step into the bathroom. On the other hand what a great location for seeing the city, and the lobby and ballroom were spectacular.
- 4/5
Bathroom sink drained extremely slow...made it difficult to brush teeth and shave since we had to keep waiting for the water to go down and not overflow. Hot water in the shower seemed like it "pulsed" and was not a steady stream.
- 2/5
Terribly outdated for the price. Shower didn’t drain and you stood in half a tub of water. Horrible ac but the hotel is aware and tells you upfront it’s what you get with the historic ambiance. I would choose somewhere else and just stroll through if you want to see it.
- 4/5
Didn't realize parking was a separate charge until after I received the receipt.
- 5/5
Outstanding historic hotel, in the middle of lots of Riverwalk activities and restaurants, friendly staff, clean rooms. I am planning to go back again and enjoy the area. I highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
We had the Teddy Roosevelt Suite. OMG it left me speechless. It has a kitchen but no cooking appliances. It had a Keurig. You can order meals for room service. The tub drains slowly. Overall we would stay there again.
- 5/5
You got married at the Menger 30 years ago and absolutely love coming back for our anniversary. Everyone is so accommodating and the hotel itself is just beautiful and timeless! It would be nice if they would fix the elevators though.
- 2/5
No toiletries
- 4/5
I was skeptical at first until i encountered the excellent service from valet service to the front desk. They were very accommodating and helped ease my concerns. Unfortunately that week the elevator close to the room assigned was out of service and we had to walk from corridor to another going up to the 5th floor and walk down to the 4th floor. It was a good thing we had small bags to lug around. The hallways are clean, there was a musky scent from history as the building was built in 1859. Surprisingly the rooms were clean and the carpet and the room smelled fresh and clean. The Bed - i think is one of the most important thing, was comfortable with medium support , not too soft and not too hard. Overall I slept good. Didnt use any of their amenities, so no comment. But I must say the valet services were good. I also liked that there was an area on the street that you could park for free as you walk around the area. Location is great, too! Will definetly be back.
- 4/5
Lousy TV Bad water pressure
- 3/5
Room was dirty. Used washcloths from prior guests in shower. Dead cockroach on floor outside of bathroom. Balcony not swept of bottle caps. Dated furniture and a dark room. Furniture old and uncomfortable with collapsed cushions. Needs updated. Just make it a cowboy room or something to do with the Alamo. Nobody under the age of 65 knows who Roy Roger's is!
- 5/5
Wonderful Historic Hotel, great pool, great Location
- 5/5
Nice of historic and modern
- 4/5
The pool was great. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel uses two-pipe heating/cooling system, so room was not as cool as it could have been. Other than that, the hotel was super beautiful with plenty of old western charm. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay down town San Antonio
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the Menger! It was like going back in time. Everyone was polite. We will do it again.
- 3/5
When we checked out, they notifed us it was one side of the building. If they knew this, why didnt they put us in a room on the other side that has working AC. My spouse has a seizure disorder and heat and humidity trigger seizures. We have been wanting to stay at the hotel for years. When we finally did I was less then impressed. The front desk woman was short and curt. The pool was over run by screaming kids taking up the entire pool running around, there was no complimentary coffee or water like most hotels.
- 3/5
Unfortunately, the hallways had old musty carpets like 15 years old and some trash on the floor in hallways and dirty dishes outside rooms not picked up for 3 days while we were there. Also, we had to carry our luggage up the stairs in an area where the elevator was closed for Maintenance. When asked how long it will remain closed, we were just told that they don't know, probably not that week. So we had to carry our luggage down the stairs, too upon check-out. We booked this Hotel because of its History and location. It's a beautiful Hotel, just need better Maintenance management.
- 3/5
The first night we were in a room no bigger than our child’s bedroom, a double rather than a queen bed, with a bathroom smaller than a matchbox and, worst of all, without a/c. All rooms were booked so we couldn’t make any changes. The hotel sent maintenance to our room with a box fan. The fan was helpful but just not enough. We were moved to a much larger room the next night where the a/c worked wonderfully. The staff was kind. The valets were awesome. We just wish the first night had been more comfortable. We’ll have to give the hotel another try someday in the future.
- 1/5
No A/C in the room, switched rooms to another room with no A/C. Had to leave at 0230 and drive south to find another room.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
It was a cool old style hotel, very close to the Alamo and a short walk to the river walk
- 5/5
Didn't actually get to eat in the hotel, but the adjoining Tapas bar was worth a visit.
- 4/5
Shower head did not work well. Showering was unpleasant. This was in one of the older rooms.
- 5/5
The rooms are always well kept clean and the room service is fast and courteous.
- 3/5
It took forever to get checked in due to the rooms we're ready and the AC was acting up. You don't pay this much money for a hot room. Then the balcony door would not stay shut. I always stay between the Menger or the Emily. I will return to the Emily.
- 5/5
We loved the history of the hotel and the location was perfect being next to the Alamo and to the riverwalk and to the shopping plaza. The room was spacious for our family of 3 and very clean . We enjoyed the pool and had a drink in the bar!
- 2/5
No maid service. Very old and not maintained facilities,
- 3/5
Location was perfect. Hotel
- 4/5
The only drawback for me was the lack of a bathroom fan/vent and a slightly musty smell. Not overpowering but noticeable. Be prepared to pay a lot for parking, especially if using the valet service
- 2/5
Check-in was poor. The rooms don’t compare to the Crockett across the street. They’re tiny. The bathroom smelled of mold and mildew. I can only assume it wasn’t clean. There were no amenities to speak of the restaurant was closed.
- 4/5
Restaurant option is only a Taco bar. The historic Menger Bar is small. Our housekeeper was lovely and helped with extra towels and Kleenex.
- 5/5
Clean room but tub faucet leaked.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 1/5
There are only 2 working elevators, there was no shower pressure. There is no late night Hotel store to purchase Tylenol or other quick emergency toiletries.
- 2/5
Yes they provide coffee in the room, but only for one day! Location is great, but they rely on their reputation and have no desire to provide the level of service expected from such a unique location.
- 3/5
Bathtub had rust from dripping faucet and air conditioning would not cool.
- 4/5
But I will say this - the staff was wonderful throughout all of the hotel. We’d return again because we love old historic hotels. I’d give them another try before going elsewhere. We wish them the best.
- 1/5
I could not get a statement for my stay there. They moved me to another room and over charged me . Desk person walked out and said I could take care of it my self she quite. Was suppose to get a refund on money held for room charges. Did not charge to room. Expedia. Tried to call the manger. For charges As of today I have had no follow up calls and my account has not been refunded
- 5/5
Everything was so nice I personally recommend this hotel
- 5/5
Room was nice and had all the modern amenities you would expect at a hotel!
- 5/5
Great atmosphere & location
- 4/5
The Menger is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. It is also a great museum of sorts. The room I ended up in was very nice. With any very old place there are always issues. I had to be moved 11 pm my first night due to AC issues. They didn't hesitate to make it right but... My new room was in the "old wing" amazing hotel features from the past. The elevator in that wing was down so it was quite a hike to get to my room. I would rather stay here than any of the modern hotels.
- 3/5
Thought I was getting a deal on the stay when I booked through Expedia but didn’t. We weren’t told anything about the thermostat in our room not working so it was Freezing all night. Couldn’t afford the breakfast because it was separate from cost of the room. WiFi was terrible. Classic look of Hotel was Beautiful and loved the location next to the Alamo.
- 5/5
Very nice historic hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean, nice
- 1/5
The price advertised WAS NOT what we were charged!!! There is no FREE parking at or nearby the hotel. They offer valet parking for $55!! The 4th floor tricky to get to. Elevator on out side of hotel broken down had to walk around to the other end of hotel. Restrooms is above floor level by one foot not ADA compliant.
- 5/5
Had a handicap room and it was huge.
- 4/5
It seems that the staff has been reduced, there were dishes outside rooms left for days. As well as ashtrays unemptied for long periods. All in the we loved our stay and will definitely return.
- 2/5
But ..beautiful grounds and pool area. Room was clean and beautifully decorated but bed was awful/very uncomfortable. Great shops inside hotel and a very close walk to riverwalk and shops/restaurants/the Alamo.
- 3/5
Front desk staff had me walking away believing I was in the wrong. I went up 3 separate times in my stay to ask single questions "Is there a guest laundry facility? NO, "Did my package arrive?" NO, "May I pay extra for late check out?" NO. (Not even a smile when I went away) It was a busy Fiesta weekend, so maybe they were just done with dumb questions but I really felt like I had ticked them off with my interruption, each time. Valet and Night Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the Night Auditor especially- for answering all above questions with a "No, But.." and offered alternatives. The room was absolutely beautiful (stunning!); the history is almost unfathomable, and I would love to come back someday in a friendlier environment. I would have stayed another night at the Menger and ubered to the airport on monday for my flight, as planned, but front desk's treatment decided me & I went to a major chain hotel up the street for my last night in San Antonio.
- 3/5
We were disappointed in the front desk staff and the valet staff. After our first night (at 9:00 am) we asked for fresh towels (spilled coffee) and another roll of toilet paper (only provided 1 and we were already out). They said it would be brought to us shortly. We left and came back about 2:00 pm. No towels...no toilet paper. Called front desk and they brought it. Later that day we were trying to rest in our room but they started sawing with a very loud saw next door to us. I know sometimes maintenance must be done but I guess it was just poor timing. When we were checking out I requested my car. Even got a message back saying the staff was hurrying to get it. We went outside and sate on the bench and waited. Valet staff never came over to see if we need assistance...they did not say anything to us at all. Finally after 20 minutes my husband walked over and asked about our car...they stated they did not know we needed it even thought we got the automated message that they were already getting it. Mind you it was not busy it was 7:00 am. They brought the car around and we left. We decided then that was our last stay at the Menger.
- 2/5
We were disappointed with the overall experience. When we checked into our room, there was a single small bottle of body wash, no shampoo or conditioner. The containers in the shower were completely empty. We stopped at the front desk and told them. While we were out our room, they delivered 3 bottles of shampoo, 3 bottles of conditioner but no additional soap. The staff at the front desk and valet were very friendly as were other staff we encountered during our stay. The room appeared to be marginally cleaned from the last people in the room. I was excited with having the opportunity to stay at this hotel since it’s a historic gem, but overall it was a disappointment for the price.
- 5/5
Love the history of the Menger, the ambiance and location!! It was an easy check in/out!
- 4/5
Beautiful pool and lobby
- 5/5
The staff was kind and welcoming. Clean hotel. The room was great. The feel was very pleasant with the historic under tones. The displays of history were great to look at. Some much to take in. The river walk is foot steps away.
- 5/5
As old as this hotel is its in tip top shape very clean and convenient to spots around the city i already booked another stay here later this year
- 2/5
We did not have any soap in our room- and it was late night. How does that happen?
- 5/5
Lobby and courtyard seating are the best.
- 2/5
Hotel has seen better days.
- 4/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
Did not have breakfast
- 1/5
First of all the front office clerk rude and short with people. Room was not ready and was given the wrong room which she thought was funny. Secondly our room never cooled down so we slept uncomfortable and had to call for towels and toilet paper. Housekeeping never came to our room to clean. Lastly, the charged me at check in without any explanation why. And the hotel had already been paid for by a third party service. So, yeah I don't plan to stay again when I'm in San Antonio.
- 4/5
Something catches the eye, everywhere you look.
- 3/5
No restaurant, rooms are in terrible shape the entire property needs a remodel. Hotel bar served me a martini in a highball glass I was told they no longer have martini glasses because they break. This hotel sits next to the iconic Alamo please renovate this property and save this historic property.
- 2/5
The room was OK, the elevator on my side of the hotel was not working, so I had to walk a really long way and go up to the 5th floor and walk down to the 4th to my room. Also, there was no toilet paper in my room and I had to request it. Then there was no body wash and I had to call 4 times to get a refill. Also, it's an older hotel, so you can hear everything happening in the room next to you and in the hallway. You also have to pay $60 per day to park your car at the hotel. I will say the place was beautiful, historic, and in a great location, but I won't be staying there again.
- 2/5
Limited
- 4/5
Convenient to downtown, Comfortable beds, awesome water pressure in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great, historic hotel! Very cool bar onsite with cool history. Alamo is right next door and the riverwalk is very much within walking distance. La Mengerita has great breakfast tacos/coffee. Will always choose The Menger when in San Anton.
- 3/5
The Menger Hotel is a beautiful part of history. The staff were friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. If we were to stay there again we would upgrade our room. It was a little dangerous using the bathtub/shower.
- 3/5
The hotel is under new management and they have their work cut out for them. My room was by the broken elevator, which meant us two little old ladies (66 and 82) had to walk all the way around the building to get to an elevator to go down to the ground floor. We called housekeeping for items that we needed in our room and most of our requests got ignored. They did bring a new coffee maker when ours didn’t work and they changed out the blinking light bulb in the bathroom, but we had to go all the way down to the front desk to get coffee and cups. The Wi-Fi in our room did not work the whole time we were there. Although most of the staff was cordial and pleasant, they did not have enough people to get the job done. The restaurant is closed for renovations and the taco place only had one person working to serve breakfast to the 100 guests from our convention. When we checked out, they graciously gave us a discount on our over priced room, but we expected better from an historic landmark. Maybe I will go back when the renovations are finished and give it another chance.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay at the Menger Hotel. It was clean, and BEAUTIFUL!! It's close to all the attractions so walking is the best way to travel. The location is quiet and safe for walking during the say and night.
- 4/5
Building is beautiful and historic. Being "historic" it's a bit difficult to get around some areas. Shower has a leak on hot water pipe and WiFi network didn't reach into the room.
- 4/5
Great location and a historic property which I found interesting.
- 4/5
Reported tray with bucket outside our door on day one after three days it was still there and not picked up.
- 4/5
Great location.
- 5/5
The hotel is dated but very clean. I will definitely return to the Menger when I am in San Antonio.
- 2/5
Air conditioning was horrible and lots of other guests were complaining as well, so it’s a hotel wide issue.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was great. A couple of issues were reported. When I arrived, I saw damage to the wall done by the front door handle. Due to the door stopper being broken, there was a small hole in the wall. I reported it and the door stopper was replaced without issue while we were out. Bathroom door was also sticking and that was reported when I checked out. Still haven't see any ghost, maybe next time!
- 2/5
Showed up room wasn’t even ready waited 3 hours and never was updated until I had to call the front desk myself. Broken elevator in my area had to walk pretty far. Staff wasn’t very helpful or friendly I understand fiesta weekend can be stressful but requires patience. Ac barely blew cool I was so tired of dealing with the property I just didn’t bother. Valet was overwhelmed. Not worth the $
- 4/5
This hotel is in a great location. The amenities were great. The room is dated but goes with the charm of the hotel.
- 2/5
Overpriced hotel living off its past! In house restaurant is nothing more than an overpriced “taqueria”! Bar is nothing like its glorious past! Bar staff indifferent! WiFi is terrible! No directions to front entry/lobby! No parking garage directions and garage fee overpriced at 55 USD/night! Would definitely skip next time!
- 2/5
Very disappointing for the amount I paid for the room! I would appreciate some amount of money for the inconvenience
- 5/5
all of the staff were very friendly
- 2/5
This was our first time staying here. It was a beautiful place on main floor. There are a few things that didn’t make us happy staying there. Our room air conditioner wasn’t cooling our room correctly and they had to give us 2 box fans. The bathroom shower water kept going hot to cold continuously like it was being messed with. Toilet didn’t flush on first try and had to do at least 2 or 3 times to completely work. At every other hotel we’ve stayed at our room was cleaned every morning since checked in. The reason for ours was because we checked in on a Friday night and house keeping doesn’t clean everyday. As much as we were paying for the stay it should automatically be done every morning till we check out. The valet parking is to expensive, considering they had to go park our car still in the public parking area. Will never stay here again.
- 4/5
Housekeeping needs to step it up a bit in those areas but other than that we enjoyed our time,
- 5/5
The room was spacious with a great patio.
- 5/5
It's a great historical building around a lot of history of San Antonio ,Texas and Mexico.
- 3/5
This hotel was filled with historical aesthetics. And a great view of the Almo. Because it is older there is no gym, and the bathrooms are basic. However you can appreciate the historic aspect of this hotel
- 3/5
Elevator not working. No Ice available on any of the floors. Internet was off and on. Television remote was broken. Have stayed here before but probably not again
- 1/5
Leaking faucet, old shower bathtub with stain.
- 3/5
Emily Morgan a better choice
- 4/5
I asked housekeeping 4x to change my trash in 4 days and they never came and it was attracting fruit flies and smelling
- 1/5
No Breakfast
- 2/5
Wrote a thorough review on Google which is full of similar reviews, I wish I navigated the fake reviews and sorted by recent and helpful before booking my stay. This place is literally next to the Alamo, that’s the only redeeming quality. Skip the stag and stop in for 10-20 minutes to take pictures, all the best features are free. I wouldn’t stay here again
- 5/5
Nice pool
- 5/5
Perfect location and staff was nice. Historic hotel that has its pros and cons.
- 4/5
It’s a bit dated but still charming
- 5/5
Great location and staff.
- 3/5
They have done away with some of the best amenities, Hot Coffee in the lobby for early morning risers and maid service every day
- 5/5
Beautiful room with good size balcony facing Alamo Plaza. Very close to Fiesta activities. The only hiccup was the broken coffee machine. We made another reservation for the following night because we enjoyed it so much
- 5/5
The Hotel is a Historic site to see and stay
- 3/5
The lobby level of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was ok. We had a balcony that was shared with two other rooms. It looked out over the open area near the Alamo. The air conditioning in our room was not good. It never got very cool and it wasn’t even that hot outside. Talked to the desk and they said they would send someone up to check it. He brought us a box fan and said we were too far from the chillers for the A/C to reach. The bathroom had areas of rust and the bathtub had mold in the grout. The tub also had pieces of ceramic missing from the interior. I would not care to stay there again.
- 5/5
Rooms a little small but very nice and clean. Right next to the Alamo and river walk.
- 4/5
The valet a little sketchy as we got in later. There was construction taking place so that made it difficult. Upon arriving the valet was supposed to send a text for us to complete the set up but we never received it. Room was beautiful. There were like little gnats? But it was fine. The water was also turning hot and cold on our second night. Overall the place was wonderful and great. Staying at a historic hotel was a dream and the architecture was superb. Would love to come back.
- 5/5
Very friendly young lady(red hair) and helpful at front desk!
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and staff!
- 5/5
Parking was also discounted with group...normally $55 overnight.
- 5/5
We love the Menger hotel. The staff is great and the rooms immaculate. This time my husband was still recovering from knee surgery. The staff, especially the valet staff, we so helpful. Great historic hotel, great people.
- 1/5
No hot water in the hotel due to old pipes
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Menger 4 times now and have never been disappointed. The location is perfect and the history is amazing. We will be back again and again.
- 5/5
Poolside was a great atmosphere and the breakfast was damn good…
- 3/5
The lobby is the best ! Huge and very spacious. Carpets seem to not get cleaned daily we arrived on a Tuesday and left late on Thursday, same small pieces of papers and stuff still on the floors in common areas. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a Alamo type of reenactment going on around 10am which was short but very interesting and informative. The area is exceptional even late at night.
- 5/5
Beautiful old historical hotel does need some renovation and some updates hope they continue to work some these things out as staff and historic vale of the hotel are wonderful
- 5/5
Everybody was super friendly from the valet guys to the front desk, super clean and perfectly located for what we were doing. And reasonably priced
- 5/5
Greatest
- 5/5
The history makes this charming hotel all the better and staff is very friendly. If driving and dropping off luggage it can be a little tricky finding the drop off point. Seek parking on the street in paid parking and download the parking app. It will save a ton of parking money!
- 2/5
This hotel is in a great location but the Hotel itself was dirty, no room service, the gym had a terrible smell, the pool was never clean and the bad part of it all I came back home feeling sick because the smell of the hotel was terrible. My recommendation if you don’t care stay but if you are not willing to sacrifice your vacation comfort DONT stay at this Hotel
- 3/5
Walking in? Stunning. Antique everything, historic photos, total time capsule vibes. Then you hit the front desk… and the energy drops. Check-in was awkward, they couldn’t find our reservation (it was there), and the vibe was very “this is your fault somehow.” Not rude, just not welcoming. Room 3067: clean, decent size, nothing special. Bed was comfortable. Partial courtyard view, partial rooftop. Fine. Now the “old hotel” realities: Room was muggy, even with AC low Bathroom is tight (my 6’1” fiancé struggled) Shower is basic and takes forever Flush a nearby toilet? Enjoy your surprise ice bath A few extras: Dirty plate in the hallway for over a day One lamp didn’t work Pool location remains a mystery The bar is cool, service is… consistent with the rest of the hotel (present, not warm). Location is right in the tourist area—convenient but busier than we prefer. Final take: The Menger Hotel is gorgeous and worth experiencing if you love historic hotels. Just don’t expect modern comfort or standout service.
- 5/5
I absolutely love the architecture in the history of hotel! Would definitely recommend going back
- 2/5
Sink was clogged for 4 days. Asked 3 staff members for help, one cleaning, two at front desk, no help. Finally took picture of sink about to overflow to someone at front desk, they snaked it that night, but it reclogged in the morning. Gave up, lived with a dirty water sink for 3 days/night. Note, just brushing teeth, no shaving etc.
- 1/5
I had high expectations for this hotel as it was recommended by my step daughter. However when we checked in it was similar to going up to the counter of en Seven eleven store. Also I found out they have no one to help with the luggage und I had to get the cart, load it up, then take it up to my room. The television clicker had low batteries so I had to get up out of bed to get close to the television to change en channel. After 5 hours of driving it was just disappointing. When traveling I always bring en night light to place in the bathroom. It was then I found the receptical did not work. In the early hours ran out of toliet paper und no extra roll was in the room. So had to phone to have someone bring me up en roll. In the morning it was then I was informed the breakfast restaurant was closed for renovations. Nothing showed that on their website. So had to go across the street for en en cup of coffee! It was extremely disappointing stay at such en historical hotel.
- 1/5
They just care about getting money, not about the people. They didn’t care about us having bad shower or no tv on the room
- 5/5
The rooms were very antiquated, but you expect this out of a hotel that’s over 100 years old. The step up into the bathrooms was a bit inconvenient it is usual. The pool area was mobbed by kids with no parental oversight
- 5/5
Nice clean room with easy access around the city. Lots of great history.
- 5/5
Great hotel with lots of history
- 4/5
Everything was satisfactory. The desk did not have a chair in my room which is not a problem unless you need to use the desk for writing. I loved the historic feel.valet parking definitely worth it.
- 2/5
Convenient location, no house keeping our entire stay. Nice pool. Staff at front desk wasn’t very friendly. Valet staff was helpful. Room service staff was great.
- 5/5
Our stay was awesome!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. From the valet once we arrived to the room service during our stay, everything was perfect! We’ll definitely be back. It was our best staycation ever!
- 5/5
Room was great, but the thing that I liked the most was just the incredible uniqueness and history of the hotel, not corporate at all with loads of personality.
- 5/5
Visiting San Antonio is always a family favorite and Staying at The Menger just adds that something extra. The staff is always helpful and friendly and we just love the histroy and beauty of The Menger. Plus all our favorite spots are literally right around the corner. Thank you and we'll definitely be returning.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, and a beautiful hotel. Definitely a must stay in San Antonio.
- 5/5
kind
- 4/5
proximity to alamo
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, amenities
- 4/5
Great old hotel, spacious clean room with character.
- 5/5
The Menger Hotel is a good overnight stay for us on our journey to Arizona. It’s nice to walk over to the Riverwalk with its ambience. The beds were extremely comfortable. Oh, and Joel who valet parked our car was absolutely delightful! His welcome and pleasant personality was a wonderful welcome to the hotel.
- 3/5
Want to mention our Valet Joel very nice and helpful
- 5/5
Room was fine, Staff was very nice.
- 3/5
Restroom wasn’t fully clean when we arrived but other than that everything was great
- 2/5
I even asked if the interaction was different due to booking with expedia as people in front of us were treated differently. I wish I had not booked this stay
- 4/5
The staff was amazing. The only problem we had was with the room not getting cleaned.
- 3/5
Not at this time
- 5/5
Nice interiors. Offered a unique experience.
- 4/5
Older hotel, but a very pleasant stay. Nicer than some new hotels you see today. Even though it was older it was clean - only our room didn’t have towels so I did have to call to get some.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, such a historical landmark. And right beside the Alamo.
- 5/5
The Hotel is simply gorgeous and the rooms are quaint. The History is a marvel!
- 5/5
Great location literally downtown, great for families easy access to the mall or if you need to get to the Riverwalk
- 2/5
The shower was leaking. I brought it to the tension of the front desk. Nothing was done about it. It was very difficult to enjoy the stay listening to the water constantly dripping day and night. I requested fresh towels. They did not bring them. The water would go from hot to cold in the shower, which was very annoying. You could not regulate the temperature.I was not impressed. I will never return and I'm disappointed in Expedia that they did not do their homework.
- 4/5
This is a nice older hotel and it's right in the middle of downtown San Antonio. My one warning would be beware of the parking fees. If you are driving a car, this hotel will cost you an extra $50/day for parking. It's Valet only, so you can also add that to your total.
- 4/5
The valet staff were great. I was a little surprised to see a 2 1/2% credi card recovery fee on the bill
- 4/5
Comfortable rooms. We had a balcony overlooking the pool which was great. Very quiet rooms. The beds were small to share. Great experience
- 2/5
Nothing was said about the construction and street blockage. Very confusing and hard to park and that was very expensive. The walls are so thin we could here snoring in the room next to us. The staff was nice hard to understand but nice. The hotel was clean and the antiques in the lobby were very nice. Biggest problem was getting to the hotel.
- 3/5
The history of the hotel is great. But, means old, small bathrooms. The room was dated and the bed was just ok. No luxury there. The staff was not friendly or helpful. Long lines for valet and the front desk. The drinks in the historic bar were horrible. Cheap wine and terrible margaritas ( which is bad for being in Texas). No waitstaff in bar.
- 3/5
Our room was next to construction being done on the Alamo. Very noisy. Bathrooms need updating. The room air conditioner would not stop running. We could not control it. The hotel said they controlled the air. We were freezing. Had too just shut unit off. They were supposed to bring a portable heater but I had to call three times and wait a while for it to arrive. When checking out they said they would email my receipt. After two calls back to hotel asking for and emailed receipt I still have not received one. Disappointed!
- 5/5
Historic hotel delivers another great stay!
- 2/5
We book two rooms. When we got to our room, we found leftover food in the fridge. We reported it to room service, they said they would send someone to throw it out. No one came. When we went for ice, green and black gunk came out. It was nauseating! When we returned to the room at night, our room smelled like they were cooking in our room. We reported all of these things and they gave no confidence in their services. It was not a comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Staff was great, room was wonderful, bed was a little uncomfortable but other wise good. Room was incredibly cold even with the heater on, never got above 65. If I could make a note to add waters to the room
- 4/5
It was a nice room.
- 4/5
Wonderful staff and the best of locations. The rooms were lovely and the Menger Bar was terrific. The only issue was the bathroom, which had no stable water temperature control and a bizarre pipe in the ceiling above the shower which dripped cold water into the bathtub. This made for a somewhat challenging showering experience.
- 1/5
No air conditioning had to fix the shower head myself just fell off. Then only had hot water in the shower so I just loaded my things and checked out.
- 3/5
The dining hall was only open for breakfast. During our stay the front desk gave key cards to our room to another couple while we were occupying it. Not a pleasant surprise when strangers enter your room without your knowledge or permission. No apologies for their error. Water in bath tub dripped constantly and couldn’t be stopped. $300.00+ a night you would expect better.
- 1/5
If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful place, this isn't it. I'm sorry, but I had a very cold night because the air conditioning wasn't working..
- 1/5
They canceled our reservation before we even got there. They didn’t even call us or let us know. We dressed up for Valentine’s Day, packed, and drove there and then they told us our reservation has been canceled. They said that my credit card had been declined so they canceled the reservation. The reservation specifically said. “Pay at property”. I booked it with my corporate card, and was going to pay with my personal card when I got there to check in. I got no alerts saying that transaction had been declined or any information to support it. They didn’t try to do anything, but just turned us away. It basically ruined all of Valentine’s Day.
- 5/5
Very good stay
- 5/5
The hotel was beyond my expectations. The rooms were clean, friendly staff, very well maintained.
- 5/5
The atmosphere
- 4/5
Everything was great except the parking!!! We did not realize that we had to park blocks away and walk dragging our luggage. We tried to call the hotel to ask if they had valet but of course did not get to talk to a human. It would have been helpful at booking if we had clear information.
- 3/5
There was no shampoo or hand soap in the room
- 5/5
The amenities weren’t that great, we forgot shampoo, conditioner, and wash……every other hotel we stay at has big bottles attached to the bathroom walls, they had expired tiny bottles we had to call down for 10 more. We stayed for four nights. Also they don’t have a snack corner in the lobby for late night munchies 😩
- 2/5
There was trash left in the room from a previous visitor and the room had an unappealing odor. Hotel location was great! 😊
- 4/5
Historic. My only issue was with the restaurant at breakfast. Waited 45 minutes for my food - it never came. Had to get to my meeting- hence I didn't get to eat.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
customer service was inconsistent
- 4/5
Room was fine. I heard ghosts.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel! Can’t wait to stay again and for a longer time.
- 5/5
Nice historical hotel with good use of the old rooms
- 3/5
Staff were excellent, beautiful historic building. Smelled like a urinal though. Also only concierge parking for $50/night that i wasnt expecting and really no street parking as its a tourist area so there are only pay for parking lots everywhere really leaves you no choice but to pay.
- 1/5
That hotel is disgusting and smell old and the bathrooms are not very clean my bathroom at home is much more cleaner and the towels we're not good either the parking was very expensive the coffee maker in the room was dusty and dirty am very disappointed and wasted my money. The pictures looks good on website but that place is disgusting.never me again.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well adorned, classic, historic hotel with a reputation for the paranormal. All the staff were gracious, attentive, and very courteous. Our room was spotless. Though we did not experience the paranormal, it would have been great fun to have a cigar with the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt!
- 5/5
Beautiful historical hotel. Great location! Would definently stay agin.
- 5/5
clean and my room was cute and cozy
- 5/5
No comment
- 3/5
Hotel was cool but room was hot! 79 degrees. Asked the front desk and they said the air was ambient. I guess that means no heat and no AC. Needless to say, 79 degrees you need AC. We received a box fan to use. So other than that, it’s an old hotel with old accommodations on air.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Staff is always amazing. Room clean and love the location.
- 4/5
I love staying at the Menger!! I was there for the Teddy Roosevelt Show, which I highly recommend! The staff, as always, was excellent! The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the bathroom could've gotten a little more attention before I checked in. The sink was dirty and there were a few hairs in the tub. That being said, I will continue to stay at The Menger!
- 3/5
This is not the place to stay if you need to accomplish any work. The WiFi signal was barely there in the room, and even if you try to work from the lobby, the WiFi goes out multiple times. Also since it is an older building, they can only turn on either the AC or the heat. Since it was cold at night, they opted for heat which meant it was boiling during the day. On the other hand, the staff was fantastic and the building and rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The beds were comfy and the water strong and hot. With some updates, this could be a real gem.
- 5/5
Nice old hotel
- 4/5
Staff
- 1/5
Room was very small, shower didn’t drain at all and no coffee supplies. We were awake for hours in the middle of the night with screaming guests 😡
- 5/5
Great room and service. Very historical.
- 3/5
The room had zero lightbulbs in the lamps upon arrival. It was also unseasonably cold and there was no heat in the hotel. Alison from Menger Management agreed to comp 1/2 night rate upon your contacting them - they made a note.
- 5/5
Great location! Nostalgic! Beautiful hotel. Parking to hotel tricky because of google maps not updated and construction in the area.
- 2/5
Running water in the bathtub shower area, where it could not be turned off and so cold that I had to have two portable heaters brought in so I could sleep at night.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Hotel was beautiful. But, I would have rather paid more for a more luxury experience. It was an ice weekend, but they said the restaurant was open for breakfast, yet there was nobody at the front and 20 min later when the waiter finally came out (we even called from the front desk) he said they were closing in a few min and we couldn't stay. On top of that, breakfast for one would have been $40 so perhaps it was a blessing in disguise. For the luxury, be aware that the Comfort Inn I stayed in in Austin the night before had better bedding and a better mattress. There were 6 lightbulbs in the bathroom and even after unscrewing 3, it felt like a hospital. Unmatched cups in the room with low-end coffee. The complimentary bath items were all mix/matched. Overall, it was lacking, but the hotel itself is beautiful and historical and the location is great. My son wanted the haunted experience, which he got. But, next time, we'll stay at a more inclusive and quality stay.
- 4/5
Cons: The room size was cramped (one king size bed), room could use a small microwave oven, bathroom felt cramped (very little space between the toilet and vanity sink), no grab bars in shower for keeping balance.
- 4/5
The room was spotless and staff was great and lots of things to do in and out of hotel
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great history. Was a bit cold due to crazy cold weather. Staff was excellent!
- 5/5
Always a cool place to stay
- 5/5
A lovely spot. Would absolutely stay again.
- 4/5
This is a great old historic hotel very close to the Alamo. It does not have all modern amenities, but if you’re looking for something with historic and interesting history, this is the place for you.
- 5/5
This place is awesome! Quiet quaint rooms, a boardwalk, nice bar, and styling like an old Ghost Busters movie. Loved it! Will stay again.
- 5/5
Great service
- 1/5
The room was too small. The toilet was too close to the sink so it was very unconfortable to use. There were nats and we constantly had to kill several. The AC was not working propertly and the room was to cold on saturday evening thru sunday morning the same day we had a winter storm.
- 5/5
We just love the history of the old hotel and how close it is to the Alamo.
- 5/5
Good room and service.
- 5/5
Historical hospitality! Great hotel!
- 4/5
Yes, the room was clean and comfy. Staff is courteous.

The hotel was perfect for New Years celebration. Room was outdated and check out wasn’t very clear but had an amazing stay.
- 1/5
Beware!!! Your vehicle may be damaged overnight, and they will claim it is not their fault. My vehicle stayed in valet parking overnight and came back with a deep dent and scratch on the front of my truck. There is construction going on nearby to the open valet lot, yet the Menger claims it did not happen while there and have refused to offer any support. The service at this hotel overall was poor.
- 3/5
Thin walls? Absolutely. I heard the snoring in the adjoining room. Probably a deal brraker if you're a light sleeper. Dirty? There was a dead roach on the bathroom floor which told me at least their pest control was working. Thermostat issues? I had the heat set at 73 and the ambient temperature wouldn't go above 67. It was 44 degrees outside. Affordability? Relative, considering that it is in the heart of the tourist district and comparable to the surrounding hotels. The $49 per day for valet, wasn't the easiest pill to swallow, but there's paid lot parking two blocks away if you want to walk. There's a refrigerator in the room - no microwave. There was an iron and full ironing board and two small closets. There was no full length mirror. The one nightstand had a lamp with outlets, which is always appreciated. The alarm clock was on the desk around the corner and not visible from the bed. Bed was very comfortable and clean. I took full advantage of the extra blanket that was in the closet. The bathroom vanity lighting was bright and helpful. It was a tub and shower combination with ledges to put your soap and toiletries. Though the water was hot, it would never fully shut off and I had to put a towel down to stop hearing the dripping from the faucet. Overall, I was content with the Menger's extremely convenient location and its ties to San Antonio's history.
- 5/5
It was amazing! Definitely recommend
- 5/5
Very clean, Colonial Room breakfast was excellent!
- 5/5
Very good. Recommend
- 2/5
The pillowcases on the bed were (I’m hoping) stained and dingy. Not to mention the worst pillows ever. Very tall with no give because they were hard as rocks. Which made the bed very uncomfortable as well. Worse nights sleep ever. The room was very hot and stuffy even though the a/c was turned to 67*.
- 5/5
Great place to stay for Riverwalk activities and fun.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent service all around. Appreciated complimentary bottled water which was replenished daily. The front desk was kindly helpful for our needs. Promptly delivered a space heater and extra comforter so we were cozy and warm. They were patient and helped us with driving directions to navigate the confusing detour to get to the valet parking. Great location for walking to the Alamo and Riverwalk. We will definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Rooms were dirty and smelly.
- 4/5
Staff is friendly and housekeeping actually came by at least once everyday to see if I needed anything My advice is only for the cleaning staff to make sure there's nothing on the walls
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
5 starts, great rooms, lots of history in the hotel it’s a hotel and a museum at the same time. Great food and the perfect location, all the major San Antonio attractions are around the hotel, no need to drive everything can be explore walking; the Alamo, Riverwalk, Alamo plaza, the mall, night clubs and variety of restaurants and shopping centers.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spotless in fact the entire hotel was beautiful. Such great history
- 5/5
Enjoyed the stay and the look of an old time hotel. Friendly staff and good service.
- 3/5
Room was dirty
- 5/5
Everything !
- 5/5
Perfect location for enjoying all of the area.
- 4/5
Nice clean room, friendly staff, would stay again
- 2/5
When I arrived at my room, I found a dirty washcloth on the shower rod and hair in the bathtub. I had to extend my stay in San Antonio and paid for the extra night. I went down to get new keys, as instructed by the front desk. However, at 10 o’clock, someone called from the front desk and informed me that I had forgotten to check out today. I explained that I had stayed an extra day and had received new keys. The person insisted that it was not showing and demanded that I come downstairs and provide them with my credit card for the incidentals. I politely declined, stating that I was sleeping and had already fulfilled my obligation to check out and got new keys, he was very rude.
- 5/5
The hotel is historic, clean, roomy, and offers wonderful indoor and outdoor common spaces for spreading out outside of your hotel room. The hotel is close to it all - The Alamo, Riverwalk, downtown, etc.
- 5/5
Beautifully decorations for holiday season proximity to Alamo and Riverwalk, etc.
- 4/5
Easy check in although busy due to holiday. Room was super clean, although, I'll have say the faucets in the shower need to be replaced, it leaked the entire evening. Our room faced construction so that was not ideal but temporary. Great historical hotel and location is walking distance to shopping and river walk.
- 4/5
It was nice and accommodating
- 5/5
Cute and clean space, great price too!
- 5/5
Clean, nice staff
- 2/5
The room wasn’t great it has drip in the shower they came and just tide it up but when I open it again í couldn’t tide up so it was dripping sound all night long One of the lamps start going crazy and start blikning the room temperature was to hit and the termostato never went down Plus the concierge waste very nice at all
- 3/5
Everything was great except for housekeeping , they started at 8:42 am on the Fourth floor knocking , the pressure to checkout , even got locked out of my room to ensure I’d checkout this was at 9 : 30 am
- 3/5
Room and staff great. Very noisy outside at night till around 3am.
- 5/5
room was spotless and staff was very courteous
- 4/5
Room was tiny! The bed was made up daily, but the furniture was very dusty, and we had to ask for coffee to be replaced for each day.
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
Other than the unchaperoned little girls..screaming and running up and down the halls. It was a fabulous stay. There was a volleyball tournament near. The hotel had littlw.girla in rooms by themselves with no chaperone. So they took advantage and were little silly girls
- 5/5
Nice place really close to the Riverwalk.
- 5/5
We love staying at the historic Menger Hotel. You can walk to almost anything you want to do or places to eat. The hotel itself is a work of art and so beautiful. The garden is lovely for sitting out and just walking through the lobby looking at all the old documents and art is fun. The standard rooms are on the small side, but comfortable and clean. I’d much rather stay in a place like this that has character!
- 2/5
No free breakfast. Room would not get warmer than 67F no matter what the thermostat said. Left some clothes in the room and can't get Housekeeping to call me back so they can ship them forward. Never going back. I fully expect to see one of the staff wearing my wardrobe.
- 4/5
Didn’t have breakfast there. Room was smaller than the email stated. Rub ran all night, shower pressure was horrible. The hotel is beautiful but I would not stay again.
- 5/5
Hotel very impressive and you cannot beat the location right on the plaza, next to the huge mall and a block from the riverwalk.
- 4/5
We loved the hotel. The room wasn't ready when we checked in at 4:10. After traveling all day, that was disappointing. The desk attendant said someone would call me when the room was ready, but they never did. So, I went back at 4:45 and it was ready. There was no record of our pre-check in, so we had to do it all again.
- 5/5
Fast check-in even tho the desk was very busy. Nice helpful staff. Good clean room. Nice bed. TV worked well. Bathroom a bit small, but it worked fine. I have seen reviews complain about the valet, but it probably worth it tbh. Especially if you think you may take your car out at any point. Parking near riverwalk is not great and it just makes it easy. Plus the valet people were really nice & helpful. Would stay here again for sure.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Fantastic! Dripping in history and charm
- 5/5
House skipping nice
- 4/5
It is decent for a short stay. It is clean and staff were attentive to our needs.
- 2/5
Room was very dirty. Bathtub had hair in it . Bathroom cabinet beside bathtub has a lot of dirt and dust between them. Base boards look as if they hadn’t been dusted I months. The coffee pot was dirty and had dust on it and was too dirty to use. I will never stay there again. Just nasty.
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 5/5
It was an excellent time.
- 5/5
Great Service
- 3/5
So so but hotel doesn’t have parking
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel and close to everything downtown and Riverwalk
- 5/5
Always a great choice when downtown in San Antonio! We will be back.
- 3/5
Bathtub was dirty and the water temperature was not consistent
- 4/5
All was totally delightful! I will certainly come again. Thank you.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Our room was super clean, cute decor and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got lucky with a room that had a great view!
- 5/5
Staff very nice
- 4/5
Hotel it to old but overall good experience
- 3/5
When we arrived we were excited about the Christmas Day brunch but were told Sorry we are already full. Seems like if you check into the Menger for Christmas you should have the opportunity for the brunch. We hung our breakfast menu on the door for morning breakfast BUT it was never picked up. We have stayed at the Menger many times before and it was never like this. Soomething has changed??
- 5/5
Room was great. Staff is friendly. I am still waiting after a week to hear about left items in the room. A little more prompt answer would be great
- 5/5
Ambiance just beautiful and fun to look at all the historical artifacts. The rustic bar was a great place for us to meet up with our family.
- 3/5
Unless you book a suite, you dont get any extras here. You can ask for a robe when you check in and you get a mini fridge in the room. You need to go to the lobby for coffee, No breakfast inless you pay for it. B
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Staff was very pleasant and seemed to love where they worked.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel and location awesome
- 2/5
Check in staff was nice but although there were always 2 people only 1 person was helping guests at any given time, regardless of the long line. Bottom of the hotel, baggage check and valet is great. Lots of history. Room itself was NOT good. Shower did NOT drain so you are left standing in a foot of filth. Gross. Netflix and YouTube apps didn’t work. Would visit in day again but would NOT book to stay overnight.
- 5/5
The pictures of the hotel did not do it justice. The historical interior and exterior are well preserved. We found everything about the hotel charming. Everything we encountered was very clean
- 4/5
Staff area around motel. The cleanliness of the motel.
- 5/5
hotel was fantastic! Alamo Plaza is still under construction so it's a little inconvenient, but not the hotels fault. staff was excellent enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Always have a great stay with the Menger, nothing unusual on this stay lol.
- 3/5
Lady in front desk was not nice, the room smelled not very good.
- 5/5
This was a beautiful hotel. The staff created an inviting atmosphere.
- 1/5
I just got charged for two nights by the menger, when I paid in advance thru ya ll
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful with lots of interesting history photos and displays and was spotless clean! The room decor was really nice and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was ehhh but the coffee was delicious! Perfect location, just a short blocks a to the river walk. The hotel bar was small but cozy and the drinks were strong, bartender very friendly and knowledgeable about the dinner choices nearby. Overall, our stay, though too short, was great! Highly recommend and will return!
- 3/5
Parking fee per night was a bit pricey.
- 5/5
Great and fun experience
- 4/5
Friendly staff and historical experience at this location. Lots to see and do near by.
- 5/5
Room is old but clean. Bathroom desperately needs remodeling. Staff was extremely courteous!!! Enjoyed our stay!!
- 3/5
one lady (dark haired non slender lady) at the front desk check in. She was rude not only to me, but also to other guests. The hotel is quite interesting. The actual room was ok. It needs to be updated and a few cracks and worn paint needs attention. Excellent location.
- 2/5
Got over charged. My invoice said 190.18 and they took out 212.00 from my bank. They tried to run my card for over 5,200.00 Good thing my bank declined it because i didn't have enough money. I went to complain and they said it was a mistake.
- 4/5
Staff and room
- 5/5
Loved our stay!!
- 3/5
The gentleman at the front desk wasn’t the most welcoming. He also failed to let me know which elevator would be best for our room which seemed like an obvious idea once we got to our room. I’ve had much better assistance every time we came but I will say, the cleaning staff on our floor were kind enough to help and walk us all the way around to our room from where we entered.
- 5/5
Suite was wonderful! Note In the honeymoon suite there is a spa tub only, no shower.

The Menger is always an awesome stay in a historic hotel.
- 5/5
All great
- 5/5
Very relaxing, the room was comfortable and cozy.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful experience! The staff was very courteous and always willing to help. The hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained. We would happily stay here again.
- 5/5
Cute rooms, clean, and quiet, easy walking to the river and right next to the Alamo. Great location, local to shops and restaurants. Used valet parking. Did schedule 15 minutes before wanting to leave to pickup the car and it took 15-20 mins…left on a Saturday morning and it was busy at the valet parking.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Checkout and Valet was terrible. The construction made getting to the hotel challenging.
- 4/5
It was a neat experience but i would've do it again.
- 5/5
Charming, though no ghost sighting lol
- 5/5
My first time at this hotel, I absolutely love the style very detailed and very elegant, they don’t make hotel like this anymore, the new hotel are all the same seem like to stay in a square box but the Menger hotel full of history and beauty seem to travel back in the past where you can still feel the beauty of those time. I wish to live here everyday. I love it
- 2/5
I slipped in the bathtub and informed the front desk but they never apologized for their negligence.
- 5/5
Close to the Riverwalk
- 4/5
Valet parking was slow.
- 4/5
Room was very clean. The hotel took me by surprise with how stunning it is.
- 4/5
The room face the Alamo Sq on 2d flr it would be appropriate for the window to have a liner that lets light but opaque. Desk didn’t mention no MW in room many guests bring food from the restaurants back to their rooms. $50 per day valet charge is out of line. The bath tub hot water valve leaked. Hotel plumbing needs repair the pressure was OK but the hot temp vacillated while showering whether evening or morning. Room service tray sat in hallway by room even though staff notified 3 separate times! Management needs to get back to basics.
- 4/5
Location and their staff made it an enjoyable experience.
- 2/5
The (short with glasses) lady at the counter was doing some sort of paper work. As i stood there 5-7 minutes. Then she obviously wasnt happy with her job. Grumpy and could care less. It was pretty painful to get through. Then i ask about breakfast buffet prices and she said "i have no idea call, us in the morning" could of been so much better. The gentleman at the valet was absolutely amazing, couldnt ask for a better 1st impression. Maybe he should give a class to the counter person.
- 5/5
Clean room, wonderful staff, many amenities. And best of all, a stones throw to the Alamo and the mall, super convenient will stay here again!
- 5/5
Wish breakfast was complimentary but it was not
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Great, grand hotel it was wonderful stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was amazing and we loved our room!
- 4/5
The room was average, nothing really stood out. The hotel is very old so it's expected to a lil rough but it was nicely decorated in the Victorian lobby with the Christmas tree, the pianos n nice furniture. The pool was supposed to be heated but it was really cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We thought we'd see some ghosts but didn't have any luck. We walked around for 2 hours from 11-1 and didn't catch anything.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
Very cold room
- 5/5
The room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Location was excellent.
- 4/5
Clean room and helpful staff.
- 4/5
Good trip
- 1/5
Housekeeping didn’t clean our room, didn’t change out towels nor replaced water & coffee. I had to go down the hall to look for them.
- 5/5
Beautiful old historical hotel. I hope the new owners respect the history and don’t change the hotel too much. The Menger is a San Antonio treasure and needs to be preserved. Not modernized. I have gone there for 45 years.
- 1/5
I got downgraded and the heater wasn’t working.
- 5/5
Classic hotel great atmophere
- 5/5
Clean room, great location
- 3/5
My hotels dot come showed that half of the room had been paid. Very confusing. I had two rooms on the reservation and they were on opposite sides of the hotel. One room very nice sized the other was very small even though they were the same on the reservation.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Nice environment. Only thing that did bother us was the a.c. some rooms have great a.c and others dont.
- 3/5

- 4/5
The desk staff was attentive and gave us a room that was more fitting to our personalities.
- 5/5

- 3/5
Our room would not heat up
- 5/5
Customer service was excellent. Love our stay definitely be back
- 5/5
The staff were fantastic and the room was great. The cleaning crew was very good.
- 4/5
very nice place to stay but parking is rough
- 5/5
All of the above. The only thing we would add is a little flier on the history of the Menger.
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
My appreciation to the staff. NS

The op
- 5/5
This place is so charming, old school elegant, and the location was perfect, only a few steps from the River Walk!
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room will stay again
- 5/5
Bonito y en muy buena ubicación
- 3/5
Did not have breakfast
- 5/5
Did not have breakfast, rooms were clean. The only problem we had was with the valet parking. When we requested our car they said they were getting it, 20 minutes later I asked where my car was and they had forgotten to go get it. Waited another 10 minutes to get it.
- 5/5
Spacious
- 3/5
Dated, somewhat smelly.
- 1/5
Roaches in the room and no one at the front desk to speak with about it. Disgusting and horrible. Thoroughly disappointed. Considered posting pictures of the roaches on social media, but I don’t want to be mean.
- 5/5
Great room, excellent check in and valet customer service, beautiful hotel with loads of amenities
- 2/5
We booked a room with 2 queen beds but we were only givien 2 full size.
- 2/5
When we checked in, they did not have our reservation. We waited 30 minutes for them to finally resolve. Menger said the issue was hotel.com who I will call. We had no AC from the time we checked in to the time we left. They said they fixed it, but never did. They brought us a fan and we opened the window open. Breakfast was comped due to the issues. Woke up to an additional $91.49 charge. Was told due to new system it did not sync correctly and it should roll off like the incidental charge. Overall our stay was very disappointing. Oh…you get the shower adjusted to the right temp then it gets cold. Due to hard water the shower head needs replacing as it does not spray like it should. Definite quality control issues!!
- 5/5
Staff pleasant Hotel run down
- 3/5
At 4p they were really busy and 5 people In front of us told their rooms not ready. Staff seemed rushed and not friendly
- 5/5
The staff was superb!!!!
- 5/5
Great customer service and room
- 5/5
Very nice, clean, and quiet historical hotel. Didn't get the opportunity to try their breakfast, but I have no doubt it's delish. The grounds are so clean and refreshing, really enjoyed our stay. Was a little disappointed with the tub missing the stopper and called the housekeeping dept., there was a little trouble with communicating, but she said she'd get in touch with someone, but after waiting an hour I gave up.
- 3/5
Our restroom has mold between the tiles. There was limited food at the breakfast buffet once we arrived, only options available were pastries, bacon, sausage and some hash brown. This would be the 6th time we stay at The Menger, never had these issues or complaints before.
- 2/5
heat one room to an acceptable temperature (high 60s) but not both rooms. Toilet flushing completely was another inconvenience. Wifi was non functional in the room. Had to go down to lobby area to get an acceptable signal. At $300 plus per night, we expected a room which was a little warmer than our experience.
- 5/5
Thw hotel itself
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
Fantastic find it's the old meets new! I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is very close to the river shops, the Alamo and many other places worth seeing!.
- 5/5
Best little hotel in San Antonio
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the whole experience was amazing!
- 5/5
Yes. Great place to stay. 2min walk to the Alamo
- 5/5
All the above stood out, as well as it being a beautiful place
- 3/5
I was billed $s as a prepayment. Later the same day I was over-assessed an amount of additional $s. The front desk had trouble explaining the over-assessed pending charge even including parking charges. Also, the bathtub train was extremely slow.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel, decorated for Christmas. Our oom was comfortable, we enjoyed a drink in the bar and the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning.
- 5/5
Staff was courteous.
- 5/5
Location couldn’t be better. Genuinely historic, quirky and Texas cool place
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, beautiful hotel with great bar that offers great drinks and a rich history. The only two complaints I have is we always would receive two complimentary drink tickets with our stay which now they have gone away from and the $50 to valet park for 1 night.
- 4/5
pillows not comfortable; access to the hotel is not good with GPS and the way the streets are closed and one way. Nice Historical features and lovely Christmas tree. GREAT location for walking the Alamo, DT, and the riverwalk.
- 5/5
Both the valet, Quincy, and the Hispanic gal at the front desk were excellent. They both displayed kindness, patience and an on-the-ball knowledge and efficiency that displayed their commitment to outstanding service. Thank you both!
- 1/5
Is bad worst hotel ever dirty smelling carpet $50 extra for parking
- 5/5
The room was spotless and all staff were helpful and polite. We love this Hotel.
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Wonderful!!
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, great breakfast. The shower was horrible but we made do.
- 5/5
Excellent location, beautiful hotel, nice rooms. The hotel has a beautiful bar, restaurants, very helpful, kind staff. River Center Mall is steps away with a starbucks if you’re looking for a coffee or tea. There are a lot of stores and Several dining places. Then the Riverwalk is a staircase away! If you prefer, you can go out of the Lobby doors to the Alamo Plaza! The Alamo is to your right, and if you go to your left to the street, then right, past the McDonalds, go down the stairs- you’ll be at the Riverwalk!
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are a bit small especially toilet space in bathroom. Other wise very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The friendly staff bent over backwards to help us. Lovely, historic hotel
- 5/5
Historic and classy, and you can beat the location.
- 5/5
Fun relaxing weekend
- 5/5
We love staying at the Menger. It is a very convenient location to things downtown. The historical aspect is definitely a plus. It’s beautiful and the service is always top notch.
- 5/5
Great!
- 3/5
The rooms were extremely cold so I had to turn the AC completely off and when I did the roomed smelled of mold
- 5/5
Clean and historically reach hotel with great location
- 3/5
The hotel was half-full but we got a room facing a roof and a brick wall and nosy neighbors across the adjoining door. The room was clean but nothing special overall.
- 5/5
The whole history of the hotel and surrounding buildings was very interesting.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and spacious room. Awesome property very well kept grounds. Valet attendants were awesome and courteous.
- 4/5
The hotel is beautiful, and I would stay again. It is conventionally located 2 minutes from the Riverwalk and 3 minutes to the Alamo. The rooms were very clean, but we stayed in the older part of the hotel, and it could use a bit up maintenance in the bathroom. Our "1" room was actually two rooms joined at a doorway, that had no door. One room had Queen bed and the closet; 2nd one had Queen bed and the bathroom attached. You had to walk up a step to get into the bathroom, and the shower curtain was not fit properly for the very small bathroom. Borth rooms had TV, dressers, desk side table, cleaning fans, their own HVAC controls and lamps. the front desk staff was where they were lacking. Seemed to have issues on credit cards and other situations. However, in the end we had a great time in San Antonio, and I would recommend it to everyone.
- 5/5
Sits right at the main attraction. Right next door to the Alamo and Riverwalk….didn't really have to use my vehicle anywhere. Valet was on point and quick! We chose to stay in the historic side of the hotel, and we loved it! Real aesthetic! We’ve stayed here plenty of times and always come back! A MUST!
- 5/5
Excellent experience
- 3/5
Hotel was beautiful but the bed was very hard and pillows extrermely uncomfortable. We also have a $75 charge that has yet to disappear even though the hotel states it should not be there.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff was very courteous. Always love the historic side of the building.
- 2/5
Being a period hotel is one thing but there is no need to neglect basic maintenance and ambience can be retained even with better lighting. Hotel should consider how guests will need to be able to see properly in the room. Stair case carpet was filthy and not vacuumed. Felt like we could not leave our stuff out in room as did not have a clean feel to it. Would not recommend
- 3/5
The shower-head barely worked and was designed for a short person.
