Everything was centrally located. Riverwalk was beautiful

The hotel staff were so nice. Downside is that for the price, the furniture was a bit shabby and the pipes clanged and rattled in the walls when we showered. The restaurant downstairs was pricy for breakfast and while it looked good, the food was only mediocre.

I moved over to the Hilton after there was a water main break at the Grand Hyatt.. and I have to say, I regret that I wasn't just staying at the Hilton the whole time. The staff was SO kind to me after I was already having a rough day. My room was ready right away, there were so many staff there to help me and greet me. I was so so grateful for the Hilton staff and the location. I can't give enough thanks!

There was a severe storm Tuesday night which apparently caused the outdoor pool to be closed for two days. I'd still recommend staying at this hotel.

The location was a primary reason for staying there. Room was dated. For $59 daily , the valet service was horrible. Even requesting your car ahead of time needed you still wait over 40 min for your car as if they parked it in a different city. Just disappointed with the service and amenities offered.

The room is clean and spacious with balcony. The location is great, just in the heart of riverwalk. The elevator can go down to the riverwalk, and boat tour just nearby the building, very convenient. The breakfast buffet is good. We stayed two nights, satisfied.

The only issues we had were the sink and tub with extremely slow drain. They water pressure in the shower was also faint. We did notify the staff member about the issues at checkout and she said they will send maintenance. We enjoyed the beautiful hotel and all the amenities the place had to offer.

Three nights were not enough! My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay. From the valet to the housekeeping staff everything and everyone was exceptional. Night time could get loud from the Riverwalk side so if you are a light sleeper, take the city view. But a few hours at night (9-12) of loud music could be worth having a view of the Riverwalk.

The pool water was roughly 60 degrees (VERY cold). I don’t know if it’s not heated or possibly malfunctioning. I really would have enjoyed my stay more if that was corrected.

Recommend adding breakfast to your stay. You can eat the buffet or order off the menu. From the moment we arrive to the moment we left the staff friendly helpful and professional. We stayed in room 1002 beautiful scenery of the Riverwalk. We take binoculars so that we could people watchoff the balcony. I've seen a lot of reviews stating that there was a terrible odor from sewer gas but we did not experience that at all. This was a wonderful hotel with highly highly recommend staying here

Very friendly staff, comfortable beds. Great place to stay. We live in San Antonio and love the riverwalk!

The hardest part was checking in for the valet parking. If your staying there make sure to plan on long waits before n your car for check in if your there during a prime time.

Well when we got to our room it smelled like moisture and then we found 2 roaches in the room. I told the girl at check out and all she said is that they will clean it.

The location of the building was fantastic. It is within eye sight of the Alamo, in the heart of downtown. I arrived Fiesta weekend and the view from my room facing the street, was fantastic. Will stay at this location again.

Clean, on the riverwalk and has a store to buy things. Very pretty hotel. Bed was hard, but clean. No extras in the bathroom like quips, make up remover. Minor things but most inexpensive hotels have those in the room, especially for the price you are paying.

The room at first entrance was great, the location, floor level, view, balcony to mention a few positives. The pool and gym, we also utilized and don’t have any complaints except there were no towels the sheets, blankets on the beds were stained, not just a little stain, very bad stains, Please see attached pics. Also we used our complimentary meal tickets at the restaurant for breakfast Sunday morning and the service was horrible. We were told to wait for our server, not only did anyone not ever come to our table after being there as a family of 3 for almost an hour. We were never greeted. We finally just told someone we were going to leave and left the breakfast tickets on the table, they just said ok and we left. I paid $419 for this experience and it was absolutely not worth this price.

The room was clean and spacious, and we got a free upgrade to a river walk view. The bathroom was the only gripe as it doesn’t have a fan, and it has a sliding door, so there’s very little privacy, and anyone else in the room can hear everything. And the beds were a bit hard. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the restaurants in the hotel are fantastic! Definitely would go back.

The location was perfect The rooms need MORE cleaning. Our room was dusty. Behind tv, computer table & bathroom… The paper cups & glasses was even dusty.

My only complaint is that I have a dairy allergy and the complimentary breakfast options for my diet were very limited.

This is only speculation, but if this toilet got that bad then this obviously isn't on the regularly cleaning list. It's not like it got missed once or twice. I'm guessing every toilet in the whole place looked and smelled like this.

A lot of people on St Patrick’s Day, but check in was easy, staff was very friendly. Hotel is located in a great location. We walked the river, bar hopped and had great food at places near by. Room was clean and our bed was very comfy.

For the most part it was an okay stay. The construction outside is pretty rough. The drain in the shower was broke, the sink didn’t drain very well. The hot water seems to run out fast during peak hours. And the first night we were there the toilet wouldn’t flush.

Location Staff at the restaurant The River’s Edge didn’t treat us well when we arrived for pre-paid breakfast. No one acknowledged we were there. We sat ourselves, then they got upset.

On our first night, exhausted from travel, we at at The River's Edge restaurant attached to the hotel. I had the best beef enchilada I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. We ate right next to the river and watched all the boats go by. It was just wonderful. Highly, highly recommend this place. We WILL be staying here again.

Great location, walkable to many areas of downtown and the city is currently updating sidewalks, parks etc in the immediate area. Pool is so nice but does not get afternoon sun, patio on opposite end of floor is perfection. We had breakfast incl in our stay and Lesly was lovely. Highly recommend Box St, Tokyo Cowboy and Dough for meals off of the riverwalk area!

The room was not very clean. The elevators took FOREVER so we went down the stairs. Well that takes you through a construction zone. When we got to the lobby the manager yelled at us for coming down the stairs. It took 4 hours and 3 calls to get housekeeping to bring up towels and soap. The pool is small, freezing and only has 2 lounge chairs.

Was there for a spring break trip, went to Zoo, Alamo and the river walk. Got an Uber for all trips and was very easy with only the longest wait time was 5 minutes. The hotel was easy to get to even with all the construction. Would stay there for all future trips to San Antonio.

Check in was horrible we waited in line for an hour due to events going on just to be able to check into the hotel- which was fine I knew it would be packed due to it being valentine’s day/presidents’ day weekend. After being checked in we go to our room and to our surprise it was dirty from the previous guest (used bed, old food in the room, dirty towels on the floor) absolutely disgusting, they were careless about the rooms didn’t even bother to see if they were clean or not before putting someone else in there. It was squared away quickly as they moved us to another room. YET AGAIN dirty- there was a margarita in the mini fridge from the previous guest, the shower looked like it hasn’t been clean in a while- it literally had a dirt and you can see they just turn on the water to clean it. The hotel was so nice and I had such high hopes but I was very disappointed. I wont EVER be returning, they clearly don’t care about cleanliness.

The hotel was wonderful I had a wonderful stay at this Hilton in San Antonio. The location was excellent, convenient and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and great quality to start the day. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting San Antonio.

We were in town for an engagement party. We asked for valet to bring the car at 6:20pm. The engagement was scheduled for 7pm. Car didn't show up until 7:32pm. The facility canceled the reservation. It was a total disaster for my daughter. Worst travel experience ever.

I booked my hotel and verified the day before. When we arrived they had given my room away. The offered other lesser options. Then I requested a rollout bed/air mattress and told 3 different things, to be told no due to safety but they couldn't tell the code. Then when I got to my room a air mattress was already in the room. The bell hop (bryan) and valet man were exceptional. The location is great and that is why I booked this hotel.

We loved our stay at Palacio Del Rio in San Antonio. The hotel is beautiful, our room was clean and very nicely decorated. Location is perfect for accessing The Riverwalk, The Alamo, and many other attractions. Most within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at Fiume and River's Edge Cafe was great! Both restaurants had great happy hour specials (including half off appetizers). My wife and I highly recommended this hotel.

Just a little unkempt and to much construction

This hotel is all about the San Antonio Riverwalk. Starting with three restaurants on the riverside and a room overlooking the river. It was super convenient with everything we wanted to do within easy walking distance. The room was modern, spacious and extremely comfortable.

I also paid extra for the breakfast, as it was advertised need and breakfast, but this was very unclear that the breakfast is not exclusive to the hotel which made it very inconvenient. Wee could not order breakfast to our room or take it back… We had to get there very early and wait with regular river walk Visitors/ traffic. I didn’t even use my vouchers. And they didn’t comp me for it. Other than that it’s a nice room balconies are great

For the most part it was ok. My husband and I really enjoyed the Lobby bar and our waitress, Pilar, was awesome. That being said, At 2am a bunch of crickets started chirping in our room. I wasn’t about to wake my kids up to move at 2 am but when I talked to the front desk the next morning the girl’s response was, “well there isn’t anything I can do about it now, you should have called us last night.” , I was just informing them for the next guest, I wasn’t asking for a refund. And also, the next morning we ended up finding several crickets and when I went on to the balcony they were crawling up the wall of the balcony. There is a lot of construction across the street so I assume they are coming from there but either way, I probably wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The restaurant we ate breakfast at that is attached to the hotel was very pricey and the food was cold.

First time to stay on the river walk ,and definitely will be back and stay at the same place

Everything was wonderful! Great hotel with the friendliest people in the world! Dining was superb! Comfortable beds and service outstanding! Clean and safe! I only wish I could have stayed longer. I certainly look forward to returning!

Area is perfect. Right on the river walk. Has a Starbucks. Downfall- pool is falling apart and too deep to stand in 80% of it, no bathtub plug. Overall good stay but needs maintenance.

The only reason I didn’t get it a 5star was because of the towels and the shower! BUT That won’t keep me from staying there again! I thought it was clean, friendly, good service and a great location! ! I will be back

Pool totally not what was expected how do you not have a 3 feet and 4 feet friendly who enjoys being the water when pool is not big enough and nobody uses the 8 feet7‘ and 6 feet because they all wanna relax and pool not big enough to put floats to enjoy that part of the area literally 20 people clustered in the entrance of 3 feet because nobody was tall enough for the 8‘7‘ Pool is ridiculous. They should close it.

Construction is going on across the street on on the street so chicking in and no option but to valet for 55 dollars was horrendous The pool being closed is something that should be put on website because the pool was the only reason i picked this hotel! I tried to change dates because the pool was closed and i was going to have to pay more but i was not credited anything for this inconvenience!

Despite this being one of the older properties on the San Antonio Riverwalk, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The valet was reasonably priced. The hotel has been modernized and met all of our expectations. The noise levels were not annoying in the least, and the proximity to the older portion of the Riverwalk, made this a fantastic stay.

We were able to check in early. The front desk, Samuel, was great! From the valet to the house staff, everyone was happy, polite and accommodating. The hotel itself was impeccable and right on the River Walk. Great views. Comfortable rooms.

The one thing I was looking for to injoy would be the POOL it was hot that day the pool was closed & didn't inform me of the pool when checking in or did they let me know be for my stay when they know of the pool closure. they did not make me feel like a guess & the pool was important to me.I pay good money for my room infrom about the pool.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel and will be going back when they open the new one later this year. Starting at the staff, Jared was amazing day 1 helping to check us in and even recommended the best Mexican food spot. The hotel is in the heart of all the attractions so you never have to worry about ubering if you prefer to walk. The mall is also down the street and has much to do if you have kids ( Dave & busters, sea life, etc). As far as inside the hotel, it’s super clean and quiet. They themselves have their own restaurants and even a bar where you have a variety of food to choose from. I definitely would recommend that you visit San Antonio in general but for sure stay at this hotel and I promise that you’ll have a great time.

Overall, the property and the staff were wonderful. However, the only reason I am not giving this property a five star rating is simply because our room was hot the whole time. Maintenance came to our room and advised that they fixed the situation but they didn’t. It was extremely hot outside, and after site seeing I would have liked to enjoy a chilled room.

Construction began outside at 6am waking us up. And then the hotel began work on the remodel in the room JUST ABOVE us at 7am!!!! They could have put us in one of the many empty rooms available, which we finally were offered after going down to see about checking out so we could go elsewhere. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful, well located, comfortable, well stocked. Hilton always provides a good stay and sleep. Communication and ensuring we weren't under a room that would be worked on first thing in the morning would have really helped us enjoy the weekend more. So this is more a service/management issue with the hotel that could easily be addressed.

The property itself is currently under renovation so there is a lot of construction noice throughout the day. The rooms are a bit outdated. However what made it great was the staff Ms. Gabriela and Ms. Maria at the front desk were very helpful with recommendations and questions I had. I also needed some items that I didn’t bring along with me and they had everything brought out to my room. Breakfast at the Rivers edge was a good experience. While the menu was limited, the staff was great and even offered to make anything by request. Definitely a hotel worth staying at especially due to the location right on the riverwalk.

The hotel was conveniently located to many restaurants and right on the Riverwalk! We stayed on the Riverside of the hotel so we could hear music playing until around midnight. We didn’t mind because it was great music! Staff at the hotel were helpful and very nice. Nice breeze off of our balcony too. Highly recommend!

When we drove up, we were immediately greeted by the valet crew and they were very professional and friendly. When I checked in, Chris was our professional front desk employee who made check-in easy. Derek, professional and friendly, assisted us with our luggage. The room was clean, roomy and we loved our balcony. The music was loud from the Riverwalk but what would you expect if you're on the Riverwalk?!? The music did cut off about 11pm but you heard the traffic but that's why they provide ear plugs. Just remember that when you check out, they charge you separately for parking. We'd stay again!!!

We have stayed here before. So it was a treat to stay again. We did the valet parking which was $55/night. But well worth the money. The only negative was they were doing renovations somewhere close to our room. So on the first morning we were woken by hammering before 8:20am. However, the second morning was better.

Front desk Cameron was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and all the staff were extremely friendly. Beds were so comfortable and the view from the balcony was a great experience to see San Antonio Riverwalk view.

We could go to the river from our hotel. Amazing place!!
