Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk

It’s in the middle of my favorite city. And we got to enjoy the celebration for the SPURS winning the Western Conference Championship! We are big fans and loved the location and being able to be right in the middle of it all!

Great experience. My room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Located in a great location for the convention center and the river walk. Walking distance to many good dining and entertainment spots on the river walk

Everything is on point ! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. And the restaurant was amazing! Are there several times , just simply delicious. Absolutely no complaints!!!

Front desk was not as expect in a Marriott hotel. Not helpful and not courteous as if we are annoying them. Asked for manager and she was on point with the customer service. The room was overpriced in my opinion. Overall was not pleased with the quality of customer service at front desk. The bell men and the room service staff were very pleasant. Just didn’t get a warm impression welcome from the front desk I expected more of the Marriott.

Overall, Good Experience. A bit dated compared to its Big Brother across the street. The staff was great, and Wendy in the bar is an asset.

Didn't use the gym

Matthew was professional, kind and helpful. Room was clean except for floors in closet and bathroom, including a nail on bathroom floor. Balcony could also use some more detailed cleaning. Breakfast included we purchased and there was some confusion there that was sorted out after a few minutes but did put a damper on our first morning experience. Overall comfortable stay.

Everything was amazing from the valet staff to the front desk very pleasant and welcoming. I will definitely be choosing this hotel for my next trip to San Antonio.

The location was close to major venues of interest For a facility marketed as a Riverwalk site I was charged $25. to have a room that viewed the Riverwalk. On site parking expensive. No restaurant for dinner / food at the bar. Another better Marriott across the street.

Our second time there and I really love it.

Room got cancelled on me and left me stranded and currently trying to get a refund and having a hard time.

I had a great stay and was genuinely impressed by the level of service. I received a complimentary room upgrade, which made the experience even better, along with a $15 bar credit that was a nice bonus. The hotel also provided two attraction tickets, adding real value to the stay. Throughout my visit, the staff was consistently professional, helpful, and attentive, making everything smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

The room was always cleaned when we came back and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is wonderful! We also received a food voucher that renewed every day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is in the perfect location for access to the river walk and everything else downtown.

They originally messed up my reservation and tried to give me two double beds instead of a king. Straightened that out and then they argued that we didn’t have a free breakfast like Expedia said. Argued and won. Comped $60. Valet was $15 more per day than mentioned on Expedia. Very noisy but it’s directly on the Riverwalk. Also housekeeping never cleaned our room the whole weekend.

Very centrally located to all the best downtown!

It was great!

Spent over $320/night and room needed updating. It needed updating, bathroom was semi-clean. No disposable cups, only glasses provided, which I won’t use because who really washes these glasses? Only reason I chose hotel was for location and my friends were staying here as well. Parking in hotel garage is $60/night yet attached to hotel is the convention center parking garage for $10/night. Plenty of parking was available here in CC garage so save your $50/day.

Early check in option was nice. Good location right on the River Walk with easy access to restaurants, bars and shopping.

Lobby and restaurant need update

The location of the hotel is great. Walkable for most anywhere and the access to Riverwalk is right out the back door.

Breakfast was fantastic and very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The young lady at the front desk upgraded our room when we told her that we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. We didn't ask for the upgrade. That was impressive!

Overpriced for the quality of room

This was my first time staying here, and I loved it! Our room was spacious, clean, and all the staff were very nice. I really enjoyed the café inside the hotel, it was very convenient. I stayed here for San Japan, and it was an amazing experience. Thank you Marriott!

I liked everything about the hotel. Only thing i didnt like was just how expensive the breakfast buffet was, but the taste was too good to deny.

The stay was good but the charges for destination fee even if you dont get it and everything is outrageous. Totally wouldn’t recommend getting them.

Fernando was awesome at Born + Raised. The location was great. The bed was comfy. The pool was nice and cool and quiet (felt great when it was over 100 degrees!!).

From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a warm smile and politeness. My room was very well appointed, and the complimentary internet worked well. The elevator banks were very exciting in terms of the call button technology and announcements. Overall, great stay.

Over all, just an amazing experience. The staff and the service was overwhelmingly professional and friendly. My only complaint was the desk in my room didn’t work and I managed by setting up in the lobby. Come to find out no one had ever put the request into engineering to fix it. I would totally stay here again, the bed was amazing

This hotel was not the one we reserved on the expedia pictures. The price of the night was at a lower rate here at the hotel than Expedia. Also, they need to mention there is NO parking at the hotel.

I had issues w no hot water even after I shared the issue. Also phone didn’t work in room & then tv quit! I felt like my room was jinxed. I moved to an upgraded room which was great. No issues in it.

Convenient for my attendance of a conference across the street at Henry B Gonzales Convention Center

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean; the floorpans made sense. The hotel staff was accommodating and the hotel was conveniently located to the convention center; all I had to do is cross the street with no walking involved, it was so easy.

I usually stay at Marriott brand hotels but this time was exceptional. My favorite person was Ernest. He's the Bellman and took our luggage up but thoroughly explained the elevators, and a bunch of other things for us. Everyone we encountered on this trip was superb for real. Super nice and hospitable. We'll be staying there again for sure.

We love this hotel. Great location and always a wonderful staff. The only reason not 5 stars is we noticed in the bathtub some cleanliness issues. Other than that great!

I had a good stay at the Marriot, easy access to the Riverwalk and the Go Rio riverboat tour. I was happy to know that I received a $25 credit each day toward the restaurants on site. I also received 2 tickets for the Go Rio boat tour. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly. The pool is small but half indoor, half outdoor which I haven't seen before. The rooms do need updating but was fine. It can get noisy at night with loud motorcycles and trucks because youre downtown.

. My room was not what was offered with closed door to bedroom, I was lied too, mislead by hotel assistants. But desk helpful had to rent second room due to the At my cost. Not happy about second room and lied too. Unacceptable

From the check-in to the departure, the staff was great! This hotel is in the perfect location to walk everywhere, is clean, has a great workout room, and great food options. We will definitely stay here again!

It was amazing until u have a family with 4 kids next door and are screaming and making loudly loses and can’t sleep 🙁

Only issue is we had to pay $60 a night for valet parking. They do not offer self parking. You can park in the convention center garage for $10 but there is no in and out. Also the garage becomes full fast.

I’ve always booked through Expedia and been given the room that I booked. I’ve never been told this before or had this happen so I’m super disappointed and most likely will not stay at the Marriot again.

The hotel had an awesome pool area for the kids with many games for us to play. The pool was not too big but just enough for what we needed. There was so much within walking distance. We were able to do a bunch of activities without spending a bunch of time trying to get there.

Great view of the river walk and city. Close to shopping and food. The room had a sour smell when the air conditioning cut off but it went away once the air came back on.

There was no parking availability in the surrounding area. I was informed i had to park more than two blocks away from hotel. Being a disabled veteran, i refused and drove back home

Perfect area for New Years celebrations. Do not stay in any room on either side of the elevators, they are noisy and will keep you up all night. Not the people the actual noise coming from the elevators.

I booked two rooms at the property for October during their Day of the dead event weekend. Upon check in , there was no available parking for us as they were all taken by the visitors that came to see the riverwalk parade. We could not find any parking for about 30 minutes and then had to pay an additional fee for parking away from the property. I was also informed that I had to pay an additional $240 for both nights for both rooms together for an incidental fee. When I called ahead of time was told they did not have any additional fees. During check in the staff informed us we had a $25 attraction fee that could be used for any attraction of our desire. We were given a piece a paper and were told to take it the desired attraction we were going to go to. We chose the riverwalk boats, however were told we had to go back to the hotel and receive our tickets at the front desk. We still had to pay for the tickets. This was my first time staying at the marriott and will not return. The only good thing about this hotel was the fact housekeeping came during our stay and cleaned the room. For the price of this hotel, I would rather spend it somewhere else. Would not recommend.

This stay was for me and my 12 yr old for his birthday, we were local tourist and decided to enjoy 48hrs, the hotel was a welcomed rest stop with an amazing pool where he played an made new freinds and the restaurant was by far our favorite meal that weekend, the bourbon tres leche is to die for!!

Quick weekend getaway. I understand the security measures but the new " secure" elevator feature was EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. The rest if our group was on a different floor and we had to meet up in the lobby every time. Theres got to be a better way to ensure security and comfort TOGETHER

I love that the property was very well maintained. It was clean and it smelled nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I love the convenient location to my convention across the street and it's close to the riverwalk. My only critique was the door to the bathroom in my room. It did not close all the way. Other than that, the room was a 10/10.

I was in town for a conference, and the location of property was very convenient. I could walk to the Convention Center. Also there were many opportunities for dining and shopping within walking distance. Hotel was clean and neat. I ordered food from the bar and it was very good for a fair price. Overall my stay was comfortable and pleasant.
