Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio - Frost Bank Ctr

This was my second stay at this location and it’s my first choice to stay in San Antonio. It is immaculately kept and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast too! Very convenient to Freeman Coliseum. Highest possible recommendation.

The room was so comfortable. The only problem was one of the hand towels looked used but it was only two of us so I wasn’t too worried. Will be back.

OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT. THE ONLY THING WAS THAT WE DID NOT GET CLEAN TOWELS. WE HAD TO ASK FOR THEM. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GREAT

Rooms were clean We came to San Antonio to attend a concert. Upon checking we planned to take a shower and head out for concert. We turn hot water on and it is cold. VERY cold. We wait 10 minutes, no change in temperature. We call the front desk and a lady working check in says she will come up to check She comes up, tries handle several ways, gives it couple minutes and then says: “I’ll have to call plumber. Not sure how long it will take. I explain we have been on motorcycle all day and need to take a shower. She says there’s nothing she can do. My girlfriend and I take a freezing cold shower. The next morning we wake up. No change, water still freezing cold. No offer from hotel to switch rooms, no offer for partial refund. Nothing. Very unpleasant hotel experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

Our view was a lot of parking but not a big deal I mean I if I was on vacation it would be preferable to stay with a nice view but just preference and the jacuzzi wasn’t working at that moment but they did compensate with points

We were there with a group, and they could not have been more accommodating. Super nice people! Very patient front desk. Wonderful breakfast staff and breakfast! We WILL stay again and highly recommend.

Manager was rude.

No hot water in the room and the management was rude and wouldn’t even have the decently to come and talk to me when I was trying to work something out with her. Will not stay at this location again.

Its a little farther from the attractions then we wanted but no to bad.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of breakfast food. The hotel was about 15 minutes from the Riverwalk and about 30 minutes from the Caverns traveling by car. Parking is free. The pool opens too late 10 a.m. and is closed too early 10 p.m. Hours 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. would be better.

Breakfast was delicious and location was great easy drive to restaurants malls etc. Everything was great .

The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. There were many choices for breakfast. The hot cinnamon rolls were delicious! I could only make it to breakfast once,because I had to be somewhere very early.I asked if I could have something I could take with me. The desk clerk was able to give me some juice but nothing to eat. It would have been nice to be have something to take with me.

Enough parking, nice sized rooms, clean bathroom. No exhaust fan in bathroom, AC unit is VERY loud(esp when trying to sleep) and mattress wasn’t very comfortable.

The staff was amazing, hotel was clean, the hot tub had too much chlorine. I had two rooms and one smelled a little stale or like mold. Other than that it was an amazing stay.

From the friendly staff at check-in, to the cleanliness of the room and hallways, everything was excellent, including breakfast. We will definitely book here again next time.

The hotel itself was clean, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating for our business needs. The breakfast buffet had a very nice variety and was spread out throughout the area so guests weren't congested in one area. We weren't familiar with the location, so we were unsure about the safety of the surrounding area, however, the parking lot is fenced and seemed to be secure.

Unfortunately, my children coughed throughout the night, which made us uncomfortable, but we didn’t want to cause any issues during our stay. I decided to wait for the survey to share my concerns. It might be a while before I consider staying here again.

The staff should male sure if the room has any issues before letting out. The bathroom door does not lock. No hot water. Even if we tell the staff, they say they do not have maintenance which is not acceptable at all as this is not a motel.

Loved it! Rooms are clean. Staff is nice and breakfast was good. They even have to go plates so you can take to your room. They have Dove for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion available.

Had to get key cards rescanned every day, elevator not working, told we could check in early by phone, drove 6 hrs to be turned away. Lights in bathroom didn't work, shower went from hot to cold.

I loved it was by restaurant's and a Walmart. After our concert we were able to eat at a 24 hour Whataburger. Very beautiful rooms and excellent staff

Shower is very bad, when every one close their door we have to wake up as it is our door ,full noisy and disturbing

The stay was Great! Beds comfy, shower clean, AC Great, the only thing that was a little inconvenient was the Elevator Stopped working & I was on the 4th floor but I understand that is not something the staff could control. All in All it was a Great Stay!

Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming. Elevator wasn’t working kinda bad while we was on 3rd floor.

The proximity of this hotel to the Frost Bank Center is fantastic. Everything was going well until the elevator went out on Saturday. Come Monday we had to make several trips up and down the stairs at check out.

The elevator was out of order but overall it was excellent!

I enjoy every time I come here with or without my grandkids. Clean and the staff is so nice here. Bot as expensive and really close to the Alamo. Less than 15 minutes. Same thing with the Frost Bank Center.

Property did construction next to our room and did not let us know they were doing it.

Very nice, right off interstate, good food options. Our room was by the stairs and the door would slam every time it shut-so woke us up a few times, also must have had a small child above us who seemed to run back and forth all night. Nothing you could do about the child, but it was a nice hotel, comfortable beds.

First morning we woke up to no hot water and had to shower in ice cold water. Other than that the stay was good. Hotel was clean and employees were nice. Bed was comfy but sofa bed was horrible, the mattress is paper thin and our daughter laid on bars all night which bruised her.

Really quick check in. Room was clean and comfy. I did try to make a tea but didn’t work. I didn’t care to have the tea that I didn’t ask for a replacement. Then in the morning we noticed the refrigerator had turned off and all our food we had in there we had to throw. Other than that the area seemed safe we had no problem with our vehicle. We drove like 10 minutes to The Alamo.

All around I had a great stay. I did not have any real issue. Only "problem" I would say there is not much of a view being off the highway and what seems a lot of construction going on in that area. But other than that, it was a great stay.

So.eone came in to our room claiming she was being followed. She was arrested. This set the alarm i. The whole building.

The entire hotel had a stench. Like they were renovating, but none were visible, quite the contrary. We booked the hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub, but the area looked closed and very well unkept. Even if it were open, we wouldn’t have wanted to use it. The hotel room was okay. Stains on the chair and in the bathroom. Water took a while to get hot but once it did, it stayed hot for a while. The hand soap smelled good, and there were plentiful towels. The breakfast was good, especially the pancakes. There was a gate to the property and when we were returning they had shut and locked the gate. There was no warning as to what time this would happen and an altered route to take into the hotel parking lot. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the amenities I booked it for were not available.

I liked this hotel. The location was convenient and there are many dining and shopping options in the area. Also liked that the room had a full sized refrigerator and free laundry service. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town

The fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning and the hot tub wasn’t working. Other than that this place was great! The pool was cold even in the heat of the summer!

Well, on day one of my week stay, I arrived a bit late in the evening. There was nobody at the front desk, I waited a good ten minutes before using google to get the hotels phone number and calling them. An employee arrived, I got my room key, my stay began. Got my things to my room. My wife took the time to make and pack me some dinner for a couple nights of my stay, so I made sure to put everything that needed to be refrigerated in the refrigerator and went to bed. After waking up, I opened the refrigerator it was hot and not functioning, all of the food had spoiled. The front desk addressed the situation that afternoon and had the fridge fixed before I returned. The second night of my stay, there was a fire of some sort that had started on the first floor. It was 3:30am and I had to evacuate the hotel. It wasn’t until about 5:30am that I was able to return back to my room. The following day, day three. I had removed the do not disturb sign from the door handle to let house keeping know they can clean the room while I was out. I travel often and usually bring most, if not all, of the necessary toiletries. I had a noticeably larger and thicker towel, as I normally use. Once I returned from my day I noticed it had been taken, by housekeeping. Asked the front desk what they could do to get it back to me and was told to ask housekeeping the following morning. Asked housekeeping and they told me they didn’t speak English. So no towel. Lastly there was a bug on my bed.

I reserved this hotel because of the pool and on their website was no information about the pool being closed.

For the price ($150 total for one night), it was a great value. The hotel had a micro market, room was spacious and clean, pool was clean, breakfast was decent. My only complaint is that the hot tub was actually a cold tub, and it needs to be fixed.

NO HOT WATER!!! Hallway smells musty. Front desk rude and not helpful or apologetic regarding no hot water.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was also very good. I felt it was a really good deal for the price.

Staff was unhelpful, there was a prostitute in the lobby, the pool/hit tub was broken, our door never shut tight and there was garbage under our bed.

The overall hotel was good it's just the pool was cold this hotel is more like for business people not for family.

I checked into my room a little after 9:00 PM. I tried to take a shower before I went to sleep and there was no hot water. I called the front desk and was told they couldn't do anything until morning. The next morning I talked to the hotel manager, Trish Stivers, and she seemed bothered to assist me. I asked for a refund and she said there was nothing she could do to help me. Horrible experience and terrible management.

We spoke to management and they were less than helpful. I hope orbitz will be willing to help us out. Please contact us to make this situation right.

Room was not clean had a chair with a nasty pillow like a dog been eating on it.Had rust on the lamp..and i fell that that wasnt the room i had booked too very and i had to leave earlier cause if death in my family now iam try to get my money back fir 1 night...was not happy at all..

Due to construction of the freeway is really hard to drive into that hotel

There were of restaurants close by, but lots of construction on the roads. You could still get around, but had to fight the traffic. Was pretty clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast very good!
