Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and affordability. The staff is frequently described as friendly and helpful. However, the location is a common concern, with some guests feeling it is in a questionable neighborhood, though others found it convenient for downtown access. Noise, particularly from the AC, is another recurring issue.

It was just as pictured, a beautiful room, clean and close to downtown but far enough to avoid noise and traffic No elevator, day two one of the washcloths was still dirty that was put in out room ..smh

Location, price, service Didn't like the fact there was drinks in the fridge that I can only assume were left by previous renters. I have to ask how good do they clean if they don't even check fridge.

Overall amazing stay! Clean, quiet, and super close to the city! Highly satisfied
- 5/5
Everything was fine for us for what we were there for. We have stayed there 2 or 3 times before. If I had to complain about anything it would be that to me the room smelled like dirty feet, not sure if it was the carpet . But other than that we will be returning.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean.Beds were comfortable and the ac was so cold.We will stay again.

Very good staff,
- 3/5
The parking was not good, make sure to arrive right at check in or else your spot will be taken. No hot water in the morning to shower. Cold water is all they had.
- 3/5
Awesome staff and clean room. The only issue we had was there was no hot water for shower at all at night or in the morning. We only stayed one night. I am looking for a hotel I can stay at when I visit my family there each month so that was a disappointment. I did get there really late so I was not going to bother the staff. I might try this hotel again. I really liked the room other than that
- 5/5
The room was clean, air conditioner was excellent, staff was nice and friendly, parking is a bit small but felt safe the entire time i was there.
- 3/5
Didn't use the pool.
- 4/5
Front desk was good the rooms are clean but the lobby needs some revamping. No amenities on the property so you are forced to stay in your room. Neighborhood looks rundown and shady but close to river walk. All in all the property is ok for a day or two but I would not recommend it for a family vacation stay.
- 5/5
Nice inexpensive hotel close to Alamo Dome.
- 2/5
The hotel needs a lot of work. We were locked out of our room because the bathroom door swung open and blocked the room door. Also, no lobby or facilities at all except for a vending machine and ice machine.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet room.
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Staff was awesome. Room was very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfy. Very, very nice stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, very conveniently located near downtown and Frost Center, but the main reason for the review is the excellent staff. I felt that they went out of their way to make sure the stay was pleasant. Highly recommend the hotel. I will be returning.

Service was trash. Guy working there was a menace. The room also smelled terrible.

Excellent customer service, easy check in and out, clean room & bathroom
- 4/5
Checknin was easy, great customer service, room was clean
- 4/5
The room was clean, the air conditioning worked just fine, and the room has a ceiling fan!
- 4/5
Clean, well maintained. Comfy bed and pillows. There is no restaurant or kitchen service that I saw but it is a tiny inn. Staff seems friendly enough. Absolutely no issues. Can walk to the Alamodome. Neighborhood around it seems sketchy but had no issues at all walking at night. If you're up for it can walk to Riverwalk. Don't disregard the little hole in the wall restaurants near the inn.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Convenient location within a 15 minute walk to the Alamodome.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room and ideal for our stay.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Really easy walk to the Dome. Parking lot is small but there seemed to be free street parking. But the reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is the location/area was really run down. Lots of police around so never felt unsafe, but would not have wanted to walk further than we did.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean, quiet, and well maintained. The air conditioning in the room worked great! It's within 10-20 minute walking distance of the Alamodome and the San Antonio convention center. The price for the quality of the hotel is also very good! The only thing to be aware of is that the area between the hotel and downtown near the train tracks can be a bit sketchy after sundown, so plan accordingly.
- 5/5
The room was large and clean. I especially enjoyed how quiet it was given how close it was to downtown. It was also safe. There is a secure entrance for those who have checked in, and the parking area is well-lit.
- 5/5
The check-in was easy and friendly. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel is about 1 mile east of downtown San Antonio. The only thing I would change is towels in washcloth were thin and old. They need to use bleach in the laundry. Otherwise, I would stay there again anytime I’m in San Antonio.
- 5/5
Everything good, just the guy in the front desk looks like we waking up and was in a mood, it was funny anyway....
- 1/5
Bad!
- 3/5
The room was cute and cozy however the front desk person was kind of rude and off putting. The area surrounding seemed sketchy but my stay was well overall.
- 5/5
Was so close to the event we were going to, the next days after were so quick and easy and close, would definitely book again
- 4/5
Great location. Close to both arena. Calm and clean
- 3/5
Best thing about this hotel was the convenience to the Alamodome. Other than that is was so dirty ! And I will never stay there again
- 4/5
My only complaint would be that the front desk employee got upset that I knock on the door instead of ringing the doorbell. There was a sign that stated to ring the doorbell and was pointing towards nothing. The sign had an arrow pointing towards nothing, that's why i knock. The doorbell was actually behind the door. since it was dark, i did not see it. Other than that, i enjoyed my stay. The room was clean. Towels were clean. Mini fridge was clean. The A/C was ice cold. No shady people walking around. Price was reasonable. I would recommend this place.
- 5/5
Quiet area and covered parking
- 4/5
Loved the property and the staff the hotel was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean with daily service which is not very common these days. I stay there for work, it is a bit away from downtown and away from almost everything and I do not rent a car. So, a car would be good (when I rent one or I drive my own). I like the hotel very much and the service is excellent. I have stayed there maybe every time I am in San Antonio for the past 5 years.

Good place to stay
- 4/5
Staff called and check in on me due to late arrival at train station. Room was clean and spacious. Walk from train station got a little questionable going away from the busy area, but was close and well lit. Bottom sheet had those beads that could be uncomfortable, but they were clean.
- 4/5
Lovely clean room. That's all we needed and all they offer. No breakfast, no pool, no frills. Quiet, clean, and friendly.

- 4/5
Nice little hotel about 10 blocks from the downtown. Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
I loved the room and the property felt so safe knowing the doors were locked at night and access to the property was being monitored. While just outside downtown area, lyfts were readily available to get where we needed for cheap. Anything I needed staff was quick to provide and assist. I will definitely be coming back.
- 3/5
It didn't have an elevator, but it was clean.
- 5/5
Convenient, clean and comfortable. We stay here when we have family business in SA. Plus, on this visit, baby birds in a nest in the parking area.
- 5/5
Mine and My husband's favorite place to stay in San Antonio. :)
- 5/5
Highly recommended, very clean, very attentive staff, I would definitely use it again.
- 4/5
cozy independent property close to the Jo Long Theater
- 5/5
My only minor complaint was parking. Everything else was great.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, staff was friendly, plus they allowed us to check in early
- 4/5
Hotel very nice area a bit dirty
- 5/5
I had the unexpected pleasure of staying here during the NCAA weekend. I was in town for work, and this was one of the only affordable accommodations near the work site. I have to say this is by far one of the cleanest hotels of ive stayed in. Walls and doors were even wiped down---which in my opinion, always seem to be neglected at my hotels. The bed was super comfy, and fairly quiet. The location is a bit off the path, at the other end of the popular riverwalk area, but was a straight 10 to 15 minute walk to both the Alamo and riverwalk. The area is a bit sketchy, but so is the whole downtown area of San Antonio. This seemed to be a small family owned hotel, and im pretty sure it was the owners themselves running the front desk. She was very very pleasant, and obviously took pride in her inn. I would absolutely stay here again. One of the best deals in the area. Did i mention the free onsite parking.
- 1/5
Insisting we were Smoking in a non smoking room and we don’t even smoke. Then the receptionist got bothered for calling at midnight about the damn smoke alarm that wouldn’t stop beeping
- 5/5
The hotel itself was great.
- 4/5
The cute rustic decoration of the room and bathroom really make you feel like you're in Texas. The room was clean and the bed was confortable.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Small hotel but very clean & awesome A/C. Staff very helpful.
- 5/5
Great spot close within walking distance to the Alamo dome. Perfectly away from the congestion and traffic of the river walk.
- 5/5
Good experiences, quiet
- 5/5
Also, nice staff :)
- 5/5
I like the room and how it was set up
- 5/5
Quiet and cozy! I like the dark room to sleep at night!
- 4/5
It was great
- 4/5
Everything was good. Only one problem. Not enough parking spaces.
- 5/5
The stay was for a training in town. Every day it was clean with fresh towels and bedding. Microwave, small refrigerator. No complains.
- 5/5
The art work didn't match the decor, perhaps an update to traditional Longhorns and/or Mustangs, with a sage or leather sandalwood incent to the room would really complete the stay. Best nights sleep after 3 other nights in San Antone.
- 3/5
Very vacant properties around the hotel
- 5/5
These rooms were the best ive ever seen. I could say enough about how beautiful this establishement is. When i return to San Antonio. I will definitely make this establishement my first choice!!
- 5/5
We stayed one night and it went okay, other than a glitch with the locks, a family managed to unlock their door using their card when we were already sleeping 11:30pm. The safety bolt held the door open and the front desk told me that the family was meant to be in a room down the hall, I still think the front desk mistakenly doubled booked our room which is an honest mistake. Honestly I would stay again and probably will since it’s walking distance to the train station and free parking. The room was decorated nicely and very clean and the furniture was beautiful. Other than the door incident it was a good stay.
- 5/5
I was very pleased with the cleanliness and neatness of our room.. beds are extremely comfortable
- 5/5
It was very clean and affordable.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
It is a very nice inn for a short or long stay. Parking i free. You are within a 4 min drive to downtown or uber.
- 5/5
Very good hotel to stay
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and the room is perfect!
- 5/5
Super easy and quick walk to the Alamodome! Room was clean and the check in staff was super polite and friendly. Area “seemed” a little scetch but we had no issues and would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room. We left some clothing in our closet and the staff called to let us know. Can’t thank them enough!

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit San Antonio. We call it the " Hidden Gem" If your not looking for pool, lounging area or food/ breakfast this wouldn't be a good choice. But if your looking for comfort and clealiness and friendly staff this is an awesome pick!
- 5/5
Very clean ! Nice staff!
- 4/5
The hotel was easily accessible and was within walking distance to downtown. We parked our vehicle and walked to the river walk and to the alamodome so that we would not have to pay ridiculous prices at the public lots. The bed was a little hard for our liking but we are used to a very soft bed. Overall, great place, would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Quant, cute and clean
- 5/5
I booked this hotel simply because it was conveniently close to the Alamodome but to my surprise, it was quite nice. The parking lot could use some improvement, but it was very quiet, clean, and spacious. If in the future I should be going to the Alamodome I would definitely book again at this location. Although there was food left in fridge, everything else was higher than my expectations and affordable.
- 3/5
It was about seven to eight blocks from the riverside walk area and restaurants
- 5/5
I really like staying at this location. The surroundings are not too appealing but the hotel itself feels like if you are at home. I’ve stayed there the past 3 times that I’ve been to San Antonio. The receptionist gentleman was very nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip.
- 1/5
I’m still waiting for a refund for the day I didn’t stay
- 5/5
Staff very helpful
- 4/5
The hotel was fine (clean, comfortable, decently priced...great staff)... the neighborhood around it was not the safest in San Antonio.
- 5/5
Close walk to Alamodome for Journey/Def Leppard/Steve Miller Band concert. Clean, quick check-in. Reasonable price. Everything we needed to avoid drinking/driving and expensive parking at the venue.
- 5/5
Very friendly. I'll go back for sure.
- 5/5
I have stayed here twice for work, it is super clean, staff is super helpful. It is not a 5 star facility, but the place feels like it all because of how clean and tidy the rooms are. It is a bit of walk from downtown. The best hamburger is next door by the way. I will book this place for my upcoming trips when I can get a room, or if I can get one. I have nothing bad to say.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We chose this hotel for the free parking and close proximity to the riverwalk. Definitely will stay next time I visit the Riverwalk.
- 1/5
rude clerk
- 5/5
Well located and easy to reach. Friendly and quick check in. Large and comfortable room and spacious bathroom. The cleaning standards were very high in all areas. It was not an issue for us, but there is no lift. The only small issue is that only coffee was provided in the room; tea would have been appreciated. 15 minute walk from the city centre, which was safe and easy during the day.
- 5/5
When my family arrived, the front desk gentleman was very friendly. Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There isn't much around the premises, but we were able to Doordash food in the evening. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and clean place. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to San Antonio.
- 5/5
The staff here were wonder. Very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
Checking in was a little bit annoying due to parking issue & coming in late in the night was challenging as instructions how to enter after office closed was not shared in a clear manner.
- 1/5
They required 100$ in cash at check in
- 4/5
You’ll notice that the hotel is not in the most visually appealing area. But I didn’t feel unsafe or anything. Just seems like that part of town hasn’t seen the same expansion as other parts.
- 5/5
Great price, great customer service, everything was great
- 4/5
All around good experience. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Somethings were a little dated but everything seemed to be kept up. Small hotel, nothing super fancy but it was great for what I needed. Would definitely stay again if I am in the area.
- 5/5
But I will be Staying here again
- 4/5
Clean very nice staff and very good location for downtown
- 5/5
This hotel is a hidden gem. Very nice accommodations within walking distance to the River Walk and Alamo but more than half the cost. The owner has added some nice touches to the room like crown molding and artwork. The window covering is clever and the bedding is upgraded. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
- 5/5
This property is small but it is superb! The rooms are comfortable and the area is quiet. I had a very late check in but they were able to accommodate me, which I am extremely grateful for! I would absolutely stay here again.
- 3/5
Overall the property needs a face lift. Finishes and colors in the room are dreary and look dingy. The room's lighting was poor. The overhead ceiling fan in our room was set on max/high and there was no way to change it, other than turning it off completely from the wall switch. The A/C was VERY NOISY as it cycled on/off. The two arm chairs were old and worn, totally uncomfortable. You cannot change the location of the inn, and the owners tried to overcome the view from our ground floor room which looked out directly onto the homes across the street, by using a "decorative" shade that depicted the Alamo, really it was TOO MUCH! Yes it was quiet, but the neighborhood felt borderline unsafe! Some surrounding lots were abandoned others derelict. No nearby restaurants, no nearby anything. If you don't have a car, you are stuck at this small inn.
- 5/5
Inside rooms were clean and quiet. Convenient to stairs and covered parking but no nearby restaurants and questionable neighborhood.
- 5/5

Was meeting friends - was room was very comfortable and affordable- customer service was very nice and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone- Thank you
- 5/5
We loved this cozy little spot. My 4yo was in love with it. Parking was well lit the room was clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Definitely staying here again when visiting SA. Straight shot to downtown if you don’t mind walking.
- 1/5
We picked this place after reading the people said exceptional, excellent. Not true at all.
- 4/5
Perfect for a budget one nite stay. All good and was a bit concerned about my vehicle but was fine. Very nice clean room with a very good bed.
- 5/5
Walking distance to river walk
- 4/5
What I love about older hotel properties like this one is that the walls are super-thick, thus quiet. I also liked the proximity to San Antonio attractions.... A good stay.
- 3/5
The area around the hotel is largely empty building. Maybe some urban renewal? The hotel itself was fine with a front desk staffer that was very friendly and helpful. It’s was just too far from the Riverwalk for us to walk there. Younger guests could do it if they don’t mind all the empty buildings. The room itself was fine. Clean and about average for the price. Big plus was the free parking since at the other hotels it could run to $50 per day.
- 5/5
It’s great for the price. Last minute booking. The place was quite except for the A/C whenever it comes on it was noisy!
- 4/5
Small, hotel that's not in the most attractive area but it never seemed dangerous or unsafe. Convenient to downtown, but not really walkable. Clean, comfortable rooms with good, though noisy AC. Nice frig with small freezer, microwave and coffee maker. Would be nice to have a towel rack by the sink, and softer towels, but certainly not a deal breaker. Was here for the eclipse when EVERYTHING was booked.
- 5/5
Excellent value, free parking, friendly service, quiet room, very clean, walking distance to downtown/ riverside.
- 4/5
Pleasant hotel. Good price. The surrounding area is not terrific with many closed stores and overall pretty deserted. We had no problems with safety, walking into and out of the alamo area at night, so it's probably OK.
