Oh, when I was checking in, there was a person in front of me trying to change his room because his room was full of cockroaches! Luckily I didn't have that problem.

Room is somewhat clean, bed is way too soft when I lay down you could sink into the bed. Found a small roaches in the room during my last night of stay at the place. Very violent neighbors and you could clearly hear the taking and yelling in the room. Not very nice experience.

Building and rooms are old and unkempt. Carpets dirty and stained; sheets stained. Room smelled of old carpet. Left after looking at the room. Did not stay. Checked out after 5 minutes.

The location was perfect and near everything. It was a great value for sure. My family enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. We kept the room clean to help the wonderful cleaning ladies. The room smelled pretty bad like mildew. We needed the AC on majority of the time. We had ROACHES running around. I found one on the bed and two more on the furniture. If you have children you'll need to avoid channel 12. It it strictly for Adults only. Do not bring food unless it's going to be covered.

I called previously to see how much my deposit would be. I was told $50 for the whole stay. When I got there they took $100. They only had one role of toilet paper for three people and three days. The mattresses were a little hard. But not a bad stay for us.

You get what you pay for. The value is there. The staff was wonderful and the location was pretty good with access to a pharmacy, many types of stores, and near many restaurants. The location is also within a 7 min drive of the beach. The carpet feels kind of gross but otherwise the room felt very clean and well maintained. The room also lacked a microwave, which I later found out was only offered in the upgraded rooms.

We had a cockroach in our room. The staff was not helpful when we brought them the roach. We were not offered a new room or a refunded for that night. Reached out the property manager and got no response. We also requested cleaning services two days in a row and never received service.

Was worst stay ever… booked 2 nights stayed 1. Beds were terrible noisy traffic loud motorcycle and very thin windows! Get very sketchy.

Surprisingly clean..we love our stay..

Easy check in. Santiago was very helpful. Gave us the option of which floor we preferred and we chose the first floor. Ice machine was near by. Microwave and mini fridge in the room worked well. Firm comfy beds. Smoke free within 15 feet of property but you can walk to the outer parking lot and it’s fine. Lots of cameras and only one entrance. Felt very safe. Perfectly located across from sea world and many restaurants near by.

Stay was ok for the price. Bed was very uncomfortable. Location is great for popular spots.

The bathroom was more recently updated and fairly nice, if very basic. The bed was soft and clean and I slept well. The AC was a little loud, but worked pretty well as a white noise machine. The staff were always helpful. The location is excellent. All in all, it was comfortable, but I felt I overpaid, since the room was nowhere near as nice as the photos and the amenities were minimal.

Very friendly and helpful staff. However the rooms are outdated and there were bugs crawling on the walls of my room every night I stayed there. There were also some in the bathroom.

Next, I checked the bathroom and mini-fridge and saw multiple small roaches. It was an awful and unsanitary experience, I would not recommend staying here.

This place is perfect. Especially if you’re just looking to be close to all the fun stuff such as Sea World, La Jolla, Belmont etc. cost effective, decently clean and never felt unsafe. Definitely a hidden gem. No need to spend extra $$$ when you got this place to provide.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. I woke up and there was a roach on the pillow next to me. I paid for 2 nights but left after 1.

1:The staff was great. Very friendly, working fast and efficient. 2: Great location, close to Ocean Beach, Mission Beach and SeaWorld or to Old Town SD. Downtown is also close by car. 3: Good value for your money. 1: Surely, it is not a new building, some piece of furniture is quite old, but the bathrooms are fully renewed. Bed was surprisingly comfortable, not what it felt like first.

Carpet was nasty, dingy and stinky. I had to lay towel on the floor next to bed to wipe my feet before getting into bed. Looks like they're trying to do a remodel, bathroom sink counter and shower were new and nice but black mold appearing through paint.

Pulled into the driveway and instantly got the ick. Walked in to attempt check in and walked right back out. Sat in the car with my children and booked a different hotel. Definitely doesn’t match the pictures, and read through the reviews. I sure didn’t

It was a bed the room was made up well the carpet in the room was coming up like it had water damage or not put down properly. Easily someone could trip on the waves in the carpet if not careful. No odors the bathroom was clean so I was fine with everything. Thanks

We were really scared. Traveled with six teenage girls. There were men in almost every car in the parking lot watching us while drinking/smoking. After we went inside men were looking in our cars. Hotel has cameras could have stopped it.Human trafficking?

It's very unfortunate because this place is centrally located to entertainment like Seaworld, Zoo, beach, restaurants and nightlife. Also close to the airport. But I would never stay there again!

I stayed two nights in a row and asked to have them clean room it wasn't done I was not pleased actually felt unappreciated total b.s.

Nothing honestly. It was the most crackhead hotel I’ve ever seen in real life. Like I was in a crime movie The drug dealers, the crack heads, the criminals, the homeless, etc.

Got back to our room around 1130 at night and was greeted by baby roaches all over the nightstand, tv stand, and bathroom. Called immediately to front desk and refused to switch us to a different room because they are “sold out”. Asked what was going to be done then and was told I would get a reimbursement in the morning. When we went to check out and get our money back we were told by the front desk that only the manager could do this and that he is “very busy” and to email him. We sent the email about 13 days ago and still haven’t heard anything back. Don’t stay here scam.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well located the property is to food and shopping. I will definitely stay again when the time comes.

The staff was nice and quick to fix things- the outside is showing its age but the inside is well renovated; beautifully updated and nice fridges and tvs and has a microwave! Very nice price as well for whats included.. however I think they forgot to out the mattress back on the box spring cause thats what the bed felt like...

Room was full of roaches, roaches in the walls, wood work, outlets, and dead roaches all over the carpet. A strong musty smell covered the room. I had my elder mom with me which was so unhealthy for her and me. I emailed the manager with no response yet.

The only good thing about the stay here is that it was surprisingly pretty quiet especially for a weekend night. I booked a ADA room that was supposed to have a walk in shower but instead got a tub shower which I couldn’t use. The blinds did not work. The door had cracks and holes and the lock barely worked. You could see outside from the door cracks. The carpet had stains and the whole room smelled really bad. Had to Lysol and bug spray all over. I let the front desk know of my disappointment and was told to email the GM which I did twice and never heard back anything. This place looks nothing like the pictures in person. I would never ever stay here again.

I have 17 bites, all in the classic bed bug pattern after staying here. I pulled back the sheets and looked for signs when I got there, but now I'm finding out that I should have really looked along baseboards and cracks. The carpet was also very dirty (I took a shower the morning I left, got out, walked around, then stepped back in to grab my shampoo and conditioner and left dark footprints, that's how dirty the carpet was). Pillows were hard, bed sagged. I could handle all that, but the bed bug bites are a "Don't risk it" for me.

Location wise, there are a lot of homeless people surrounding and is in a noisy area. I stayed there as a solo female for one night and could sleep. Did not feel safe.

When I checked in was given a room with another person already sleeping in it. Told the clerk and didn't seem to bother him. Hotel is old and it's not the greatest.

It's in the middle of all appointments, this definitely looks like you're pulling up to an apartment complex. If you're on the first floor you'll hear everyone walking and talking by your door. The pillows are trash

The room looked noticeably different from the photos online. Upon arrival, there was a wet and sticky spot on the carpet, which immediately made the room feel unclean. There was also a strong smell of dampness throughout the room, and we found a small cockroach in the bathroom during our stay. One thing future guests should know is that the hotel can be quite noisy at night. We arrived around 11 PM and housekeeping was still actively cleaning rooms nearby, including playing music late at night. Throughout the night we could repeatedly hear housekeeping carts moving through the hallways, so light sleepers may have difficulty resting. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, and the air conditioner was extremely loud while running. There were also very few accessible power outlets in the room, which made charging devices inconvenient. The mini fridge was another issue — food we stored overnight partially froze because the freezer section does not seem to be separated properly from the rest of the refrigerator. That said, there were a few positives. The staff we interacted with were polite, parking was easy and always available, and the blackout curtains worked very well.

Booking was an issue. they do not allow booking online direct with the hotel. You have to do it in person or through a 3rd party (Expedia or others). If you want to extend the stay in the same room, you again have to go through the 3rd party--can't go to the desk and use a credit card. You may or may not get the same room depending on the clerk.

The reviews do not address what we experienced. Bathroom had been updated but walls were FILTHY. Carpet was dirty and there was a 1ft by 7ft strip of carpet missing next to bed. Paint was chippex all over and the baseboards were dirty showing layers of old paint. The parking was sketch with smokers on curbs and several guys working on older cars.

Pretty clean for the most part, carpets need to be replaced as they had a weird feel if you had no socks/shoes on. Didn’t use the pool or onsite laundry but they did have them. Only real downside is there was a mini fridge but no microwave and no hair dryer (that more of a my bad because I forgot to check to see if they had them in the amenities list before Overall I would stay here again.

The ac was broken, the door to the room next door didn't lock I put the dresser up next to it, I had 2 small children and the dresser had a huge chip of the marble missing and could of caused damage if they hit their head or anything in that matter. There was a bbq by the pool in which we thought was a community bbq and someone from a room came out and yelled at us for using it since it was theirs even though it was at the pool, Jacuzzi and table area. The Jacuzzi was not hot the toilet barely flushed and the sink smelled like sewer problems. Not a fun stay at all

Furnishings are beat up. Our "queen bed" was actually a double bed. Room did not have a closet. Hanging clothing had to hang in the bathroom. Bathroom door would not close. No lighting in bedroom at all. Only lighting was in the bathroom toilet and vanity area. You get what you pay for. AC was old dilapidated, noisy wall units. Buyer beware.

It's perfect for spending the night when you have an early flight—super close to the San Diego airport. The rooms are clean and nice.

People outside smoking, drinking all night screens from windows are falling off. Carpets are DISGUSTING. Showered my kids and they walked on the floor i looked at their feet and they were BLACK from all the dirt and gunck on the carpets. Im sure there were spots of blood in the bathroom and on the lamp shade. Clearly patched holes everywhere. Looked like dogs chewed up the bathroom doors. The phone didnt even work. Did not feel safe here that i checked out and booked elsewhere the same day i checked in.

AC was not working, window screen was falling off, carpet was really nasty. At night time there were men in the parking lot drinking alcohol and smoking weed. Honestly will not stay there again.

This place is in a shady neighborhood. Expect shady people wandering around the parking lot all day and night, smoking and talking very loud. I slept like garbage hoping these people would shut up. The room was pretty disappointing and worn out. I won't be staying here again.

The place looks grungy from the outside, bed wasn’t very comfortable and had issues with the AC and tv but overall it was a good stay for the price. Bonus points for free parking too

Pros: It has wifi, it had ample parking, it has a pool and hottub that were clean, there is controllable air conditioning in the room, the fridge is decently sized Cons: I did not know they made pillows that small for sleeping (maybe 12"x16"), the shower water temp fluctuated constantly, the night staff were very slow to check us in (they saw us and waited almost 5 minutes before helping us), we found a cockroach in the room (the door didn't seal all the way around

Parking lot were full of people associated with the property. I confirmed 2 rooms only 1 was recorded. Then I tried to call Expedia multiple times because the representative would not speak and only concerned with taking my information first before he would have a conversation and then did nothing.

It is as basic as it can get. There was no table lamp in the room, just overhead lighting. No coffee in the room and not in the lobby until 7 am. No microwave or really anything but a small refrigerator. It served my purpose as a single because it was very geographically near the people I was visiting, but otherwise it had little to commend it.

For being one of the more affordable options in the area it worked, and I was out of the room most of the day. It’s a bit older, and not in the best condition. The bed and pillows were rough, but if you’re looking for an affordable option and not going to be around much, I’d still recommend.

Room, bathroom, and pool were very very clean. Parking lot was run down and there were a lot of random grills throughout the property. Staff was very friendly. Great location, and in my honest opinion, very good bang for your buck. Also- great water pressure in the rooms! Would stay again. 7/10!

We googled the property and this is a common incident 4. At ALL times outside our room by the parking lot there were different people smoking marihuana. 5. Mattress terrible, sheets worn out. 6. This motel is cheap for a reason. Very old and rundown place on a noisy street corner. Would not recommend.

The front desk staff was AMAZING. Very kind and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and it wasn’t filthy but there was a dead bug in the car and a tuft of hair in the bathroom, that was kinda gross. Otherwise a comfortable stay.

That is frustrating. If the hotel is trying to collect money for early check in by 1/2 hour or so, it will be bad for customers.

On top of that, the neighbors were extremely loud, blasting music late into the night. When we called the front office to report it, the gentleman who answered seemed completely uninterested and disregarded our request to contact them again to turn the music down. There was no effort made to address the issue or make our stay more comfortable. Another confusing and frustrating aspect was that the hotel advertises itself as pet-friendly, yet their “golden rule” states that pets cannot be left unattended in the room or you risk being kicked out. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where you weren’t allowed to briefly leave your pet in the room. While I would never leave my pet all day, it would have been nice to step out for an hour to enjoy dinner. I even came prepared with a kennel and a camera for safety and monitoring. They did allow it this one time after I brought up my concern, but it still didn’t feel very pet-friendly in my opinion. Overall, the entire experience was far from what we expected. Between the unsanitary room, cockroaches, noisy neighbors, confusing pet policy, and lack of customer service, we felt uncomfortable and decided to leave early.

However, the sliding door to the shower keeps rolling to prevent the door to be closed when taking a shower. Need to put a folded hand wash towel to wedge between the sliding glass doors to prevent it from opening. Otherwise, it’s a decent hotel for the price and lots of eating places close by.

Had everything I needed. Free parking, free wifi, Ice machine, hot jacuzzi, clean bathroom with hot water. The mattress wasn’t great but overall for the money I’d stay there again.

Walked into our room and the smell was SOOOO UNBEARABLE!! We immediately went to see if there was another and there wasn't. The attendant was helpful and courteous. That was the only good thing about that.

The rooms are very run down and in need of a serious refurbish. Very stinky carpet. Its basically a bare bone hotel that needs updating.

There were little roaches and babies on our 2nd day we saw them and had to empty our bags and shake everything. Carpet was old like 89’s but looks like they were slowly doing renovations. It was cheap though but so were many of the guests.

Super close to Seaworld and Beaches including Belmont Beach. It's not the newest on the outside so at first I was concerned but the inside was fantastic and staff was great and everything inside was very clean and nice. Didn’t even go look at pool so can't say anything either way there. Free paking and so close to the things we were going made this property perfect for us.

There are places nearby but be careful of bed bugs & roach families.

CONS: Oily stained carpet (the kind that makes you keep socks on at all times!), dresser had been removed, all lamps had been removed, frighteningly old air unit, no hairdryer, requested $100 cash deposit PROS: price, good shower pressure, REALLY nice maintenance guy who secured us a lamp and a hairdryer on day 2. The general area is fairly industrial but walkable to grocery store, CVS, coffee shops, and casual restaurants

If you want to get a good night sleep, it won't be here. Walls are super thin with guest smoking and noises eveywhere. Rug looked dirty and dark stained like it was molded from water.

The room was clean and had daily maid service. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The location was near grocery stores and restaurants, and the neighborhood seemed safe at night. My only complaint would be the terribly loud heater which I had to use at night.

It was misleading and awful. The room was so dank and oppressive and awful. Not like the pics or description at all. There were no lamps by bed. The one overhead light could only be accessed by getting up. The carpet was disgustingly with stains and there was a Chemical smell that was overpowering. As though masking mold. I had to leave asap. Fortunately the front desk staff said the would refund us considering it was a health issue. And for the price this was then worst hotel room.

Better than its use to be

There were only two very small pillows on the bed. There was no extra blanket. The refrigerator was very loud when cycling on and off. There was one small chair to sit on, but no table. There was no coffee maker as promised. The bed was full - honestly i don't remember but I think it was listed as a queen. There was a TV with a few channels, but overall the amenities were very poor. I don't think I would stay there again, though it was admittedly inexpensive. In this case, I guess you get what you paid for.

Good clean and newly renovated rooms, the one thing I don’t like is the access to the rooms are all from outside walkways and it’s a 4 story building with only one elevator that’s really old and a little scary. Other than that my stay was ok and it’s close to the airport and sea world

I am giving this stay a 1 star because there was roaches in the bathroom and on top of the dressers. Another minor inconvenience was how the water from the shower head was luke warm and would never get hot.

After packing to depart a bed bug was found crawling on a brown bag we had in the room. When mentioned to staff at checkout they didnt seem surprised and gave a business card to contact manager. I sent 2 emails and text messages to the information on the card and have not received followup. Would not recommend

Stayed in and "updated/remodeled" room. Upon first impression it seemed okay for the price (somewhat more affordable than other options). Left our bags and went out for the day. Returned late night to then realize that the carpet was not just dirty, but sticky. Decided it was late and too tired to let it bother us too much. The next night we brought pizza to eat. Left the box on top of the microwave with a few slices. Just over 2 hours had gone by (while we watched TV), I got up to heat up another slice, but when I opened the box dozens of roaches scattered. Went to the front desk to let them know of our experience and was told that unfortunately they dindt have other rooms available and

Room was not in good condition, service spots of paint everywhere, looked more like a storage room than anything. No hot water our whole stay, no hair dryer, no little table in room. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere.

The room was clearly unsanitary and poorly maintained. The presence of insects in so many areas made it feel unsafe and unclean. We did not feel comfortable staying even for 2 minutes. We immediately returned the keys to the front desk and had to find alternative accommodations on Valentine’s Day, which was both stressful and upsetting. Cleanliness is the bare minimum expectation when booking a hotel, and unfortunately this property failed significantly in that regard. I cannot recommend staying here based on our experience. THUMBS DOWN !

My mom and son were the ones to go, not only were they greeted with rude staff members at the front, their room was really uncomfortable, they had stiff pillows and did not feel clean after their stay, my son even said he was worried of bugs, mind you he did get bitten after the first night of being there.

You get what you pay for. Room wasn't fully paineted, looked like they primed and stopped. Bed was low quality, headboard screwed to the wall, low quality bare bones furniture, no decor in the room, loud running fridge.

Despite these serious issues, I was not reimbursed or offered any reasonable solution. The parking area also felt sketchy, and I did not feel safe at any point during my stay. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone concerned about safety or basic accommodations.

Upon arrival I checked in the front desk attendant was pleasant and speedy to check me in. Once I got into my room unpacked and freshen up I noticed there was some blood the the corner of the wall near where the clothes rack was. I went down to the attendant who offered to move me to a “better” room which surprised me as I requested a deluxe room to begin with. There was nothing delux about this room. The door lock was hard to turn and lock. Not a place I will plan on staying in the future .

There was someone playing music with a rocking base, and I could not find the source of the sound outside but it reverberated though the walls. Overall it was inexpensive and sometimes that is what you are looking for.

Power went out at 10pm on my last night there, according to SDGE, the outage was planned and scheduled. Hotels.com attempted to reach out to property and they never answered. Due to unsafe conditions I had check out early and stay at another hotel. Neither the property, nor hotels.com compensated for the inconvenience.

The area was sketchy but nothing went wrong. Room is very big, beds are okay and the blankets were warm. There was a roach on the bed though. Floors looked clean but because I saw the roach I deemed it with. Shower pressure is very strong and it’s super high up so hard to reach if you’re short. The towels are also very small, can barely cover myself. There is a fridge and a microwave so that good. Cheap price.

Price is affordable. Area is not that great. During our stay there was an incident involving police, ambulance and forefighters. During the early morning hrs we heard people trying to get into the room next to us even though I'm not sure if that was their room or not as we heard a comment about "we can't just open any door" then around 5:30 in the morning a girl walked by crying with a male behind her telling her to shut up and get in the car.

frustrating at times when I extend my stay some mornings and the Lady behind the counter has to have made go in and inspect my room before completing my check in. I get it if it has been 2 weeks or if I have had a reputation of causing problems, but I have never put a hole in a wall broke anything or left a room a mess in the two years I have stayed at this facility, as a matter of fact I have often had to this stay I was on the 2nd floor, and the people on third floor above me were so absolutely loud when they would arrive back at their room at 3:00 AM in the morning, the guy would start yelling and swearing and I dont know if they had a dog or not maybe it was just a herd of elephants trying to walk around in 6 inch stilletos on the wood floor but they either need to cut the nails of the dogs or learn how to walk like a normal person not a group of animals, not let drunk ass party queens on the third floor of the hotel with their animals. They did this 2 nights in a row the first night I did not say anything, so that is on me. But please if these people that are in room 325 on Drcember 4th and 5th if you can flag their names in your system to only book them on first floor at your hotel. Then I would suggest doing that, you will have less issues with them.. They are just rude and don't care about anyone else around.

Definitely no frills, but it was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. Easy parking (that was included in the cost). The bathroom was recently upgraded, but the rest of the room was tired. The mattress wasn’t the best quality, when you would get in and out of bed it sounded like the springs were going to pop out like a bugs bunny cartoon . There was no lamp on the one bedside table. Apparently only one person has items to keep near them at night? The tv apparently had a control to keep the volume low, but it made it so quiet you could barely hear it. It was especially problematic when the very loud heater came on.

I stayed for one night while visiting SeaWorld and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel looks recently remodeled — my remodeled room was clean, comfortable, and quiet with no noise issues. The property grounds were tidy and well kept. Staff at the front desk were friendly and offered early check-in for a small fee, and they were willing to hold my bags if needed. Overall, a solid and stress-free stay that worked perfectly for my trip.

I stayed here a week. The staff was courteous and efficient, including the maid service. They cleaned the room daily if you wanted, and this is a bit unusual. Most hotels now don't offer daily maid service. A couple of things to note. The lower rate attracts some unsavory characters and I was awakened early one morning by a domestic dispute. I also received dozens of bug bites all over my body that I was unable to explain. I don't know what they were, so I won't speculate. They cleared up after I left. I travel a lot, all over the world, and this has never happened before. I don't particularly care for this area of the city, but there is a grocery store and several restaurants that can be walked to. Overall, a decent facility and rate, other than the issues noted.

There was a bunch of issues and now they are ignoring my calls and emails. There were bed bugs in the rooms along with a man threatening to kill my girlfriend. I have videos of the bed bugs and when I requested a full refund they said they needed to do an investigation. After providing them with all the information the manager never responded. I have screenshots of the amount of calls they ignored and the emails I sent that he ignored. We only ended up staying one night because of the whole incident so they gave us half back, but after this horrible experience I want all the money back.

You get what you pay for. There is no where to put your clothes, only 1 night stand, there is a table but only 1 rolling desk chair. Oh and a fridge. The water was sometimes warm and sometimes cold so you never knew if you would end up taking a cold shower which we did most of the time.

I stayed here one night and there was bugs and roaches in the room. I did not notice until it was night time and i turned on the lights and they scattered. Thankfully none in the bed. Quiet, freeway close, However difficult to actually see the entrance as it is not well lit, the signage is not at the entrance. Parking lot us dimly lit at best, leaving me with an uncomfortable feeling. Several quests were actually barbecuing in the parking lot at 9 pm when in arrived The front desk clerk efficient was too friendly. Making comments about my dress, hair and eye color. That perhaps I could show him some of my favorite places in San Diego. The bathroom appeared to be recently remolded but the wallpaper showed signs of mold.

We stayed here 1 night to be closer to the airport. There is not much nearby except warehouse type businesses. The room didn't have any drawers to use, didn't have a place to open the suitcase except on the floor or a small table. Only 2 pillows on a queen. Would have liked 4. I booked a room here for business and was very impressed with how well it worked out. The room was very clean and newly renovated and the location of the hotel was walkable to accommodate all my needs. Definitely staying again.

I stayed in a standard room which was a good price for being near Old Town, etc. The standard room has a fridge but no microwave. There is a community one near the office which I used to heat up food. The AC was good, had a nice vanity, and parking was OK. The bathroom was fine and the room had smoke and CO2 detectors. The room had good lighting and DISH TV service with lots of channels. There was an iron and board. Sounds like a 5* right except for two things. One, the shower door would not stay closed so I had to put a towel in the track to keep it from coming open during a good shower (nice pressure BTW).. But the main problem is that the curtain on the window was not opague. Therefore, be careful where you dress inside the room. I have never ever had that problem before. I had to downgrade it 1* simply for that. It did have good, secure Wi-Fi, and the outdoor areas were attractive.

Guests next to my room screaming, yelling, banging walls, doors. I called reception to report it & nothing. 40 minutes later I called again & the man that answered phone insulted me & hang up. I called back & he would not respond. I called until he answered & asked for his name. I asked for manager to call me. He said call back in the morning & hang up again.

I usually don't leave reviews. My experience was just that bad. I was there in March. I had to sleep with broken open blinds for everyone to see me all evening, all night and all morning. The battery ran out from their idiotic electronic remote control system. The blinds couldn't be lowered because maintenance had already left for the day. I couldn't even change rooms because there were no other rooms available. I should have gotten a full refund just for having to stay in a "fish tank" with no privacy. In addition, the housekeeper purposely ignored my request for towels, which was rude. Also, there was no phone even in the room to call the front desk. Unfortunately, after my stay, I had to deal with the manager of the property, who was a pain. He was really heartless. He did not show any empathy to me or understanding of my special circumstances. This is really bad customer service. I was treated like garbage. I would give this hotel 0 stars.

There were several roaches in the room so obviously pretty nasty. Otherwise the room was I guess clean but plain and basic nothing special at all about it was not worth the price and I would not stay at this hotel again

Arrived at 6:30 pm to a "closed for lunch until 7" sign. Odd time for a lunch break since its prime check in time. Once we got our room the a/c was off. We turned it on and went to dinner in hopes the room would be cooled down when we got back. Unfortunately it was cooler outside than in the room the entire night. The a/c functioned as a fan, never blowing cold air. Pillows are very thin square sofa pillows and only 2 were provided. Not sure what the in room coffee was but it sure didnt taste like coffee. I didnt complain about the room because when checking in, I heard the clerk turn someone away because they were fully booked for the night, so I knew another room wouldnt be an option. All in all I'd say if you're headed to San Diego, you need to spend more and get a comfortable accommodation. Won't be staying here again.

Location is perfect for bicyclists. It is an easy ride to the River Trail where you can ride from Ocean Beach to Mission Valley, and to Mission Bay and beyond. Negatives: They close the office for a break, that is not OK, my key demagnetized snd I had to wait a half hour outside. They are renovating with some high end touches but my room's condition was not acceptable. The door was peeling and disgusting to look at.

The Inn was comfortable. We sat at the pool where there was a family already enjoying it. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. The room could use a little more amenities such as a ceiling light, side table, dresser under the television, and maybe a better chair as opposed to a computer chair. The bed was comfy and you can tell the managers are in the process of improving the Inn. I hope they get to the carpet next. All in all we liked it. The staff was great.

The room was clean and honestly would not have any complaints for my stay had I not gotten up the last morning of my stay and seen the cockroach in the sink.

First when I walked it was bare one bed one small table in a corner and chair and a huge mini fridge. Didn’t use the fridge dead cockroach in it. Cockroaches in the bathroom and sink area. The door you come into had a crack from the door to the doorframe that someone stuck some flyer through it. So security for your area lacking noisy and the parking lot not easy to maneuver in.

The place was ok but just that. The room had dark spots in the corners and the back of the tiny old tv as super dusty. The room was not horribly dirty or anything the sheets seemed washed so it wasn't a disaster and the location is in close proximity to a fair amount of things but the area is a little seedy. Not the worst but not great either. I might consider staying again but i might just pay more and stay somewhere a little nicer.

One elevator at middle of complex. Big parking lot, pool unheated, spa, tepid water, but clean. Walking Exterior property was worrisome at night. Must be very vigilant. I’m of a certain age but braved the walk only once at night, daytime was ok. Much lower price per night than other inns. Decent places to eat across main drag, especially Cocina Mexican!

The room was very basic, with no headboard or bedframe. The other furniture in the room was pretty dated and mismatched. The bathroom, however, was recently updated, spotless,and it and had a fantastic shower. It was quiet and comfortable, served the purpose of a decent stay for one night. The staff was very helpful (had to ask for a hairdryer and extra pillows) and accommodating.

Cons: the area is pretty sketchy at night. There were a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot and wandering around the area. There was a homeless encampment on the sidewalk out front, but in the morning it looked like the police were doing their best to shuffle them out of there. Check your sliding window because the 1st room I checked into it didn't lock and could easily be slid open by someone. The 2nd room I was moved to had a window that still wouldn't lock but it had a fastener that could be locked into the track. When I checked in the room keys didn't work and I had to go back into the office to get them reprogrammed; this is really just more of an aggravating inconvienence after a long drive and day. Overall: it was just OK, but I don't believe I will be going back.

Comfortable stay. Modern style. Lighted vanity mirror and sliding glass shower stall were very nice. Towels and sheets were white and bleached. Complimentary conditioning shampoo, body was and lotion. Although I upgraded my room for the free guest travel size toiletries, but the photo was a false ad. I was hoping to sleep in with some peace and quiet, but noise started early. Walls could use better insulation for inside and outside noise. There was a door sign for Room Service or Do Not Disturb. Window shades for blackout and filtered light were great. Overall, I enjoyed my one night stay.

The check-in was easy , room clean but with slight bad smell from the AC and carpet not very fresh. Motel on the side of the highway. They want to keep 100$ as deposit ,that usually are returned almost 2-3 weeks after(and no, it’s not the bank , it’s the hotel keeping them blocked after check out). Not nice if you are staying in 8-10 hotels in a vacation and 1 k is blocked on your card. Probably they don’t trust the membership on expedia if you are breaking something in the room and want your money for different purposes.

Another thing, when I arrived, 2 men at the front desk were doing a change over discussing a tenant and cursing a lot, right in front of me, very unprofessional.

Perfect location and room was clean but the sheet over the bed base has a stain on it. The dressing was missing knobs and the TV was horrible. Some channels (the movie channels) were not working, you couldn’t hear any noise coming out a bit. Other channels were fuzzy and had lines going through the screen so you couldn’t see it clearly. Another thing is that the customer service was bad. I was calling the office for about 10 minutes in the evening time and no one picked up the phone so we were unable to change rooms. Overall, For the price point I’d rather stay somewhere else. Not worth it!

When we first got to the hotel, the man helping us in did not seem caring, then the first room we got put into had bugs in it so I had to go back down and get a room change, once I went back down the man was nice and helpful but only after I told him about the bugs so take that as you will. Both rooms were decently kept, minus the bugs in the first room. They did provide enough towels, cleaned the bed, and the shower was nice. The area was ok, nothing crazy awful, just a good amount of homeless and crackheads, but they do not harm the most part, once you cross over the bridge to mission beach it gets nice and the hotel is actually in a pretty location, good distance to everything we did not have to go further then a couple miles anywhere, it is probably better to drive though as not to risk running into trouble walking. Overall, it was a very average hotel, and you certainly get what you pay for.

This guy tried to charge my card 6-7 different transactions. Beware of this location. I had my card locked otherwise this would have been an absolute disaster and I would have not been able to get home. Do not risk it

Good weather .

Very nice for the location, pretty quiet and has a pool and hot tub. The beds were a little stiff and noisy but I spent most of the day out anyways. AC was nice and cold, bathroom and shower were nice and clean.

The area is nice, close to dining options, stores, the beds were a bit uncomfortable but other than that it was a good stay, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Cool place too many extra people lingering around

Roaches everywhere. TV didn't work and AC was moldy and made the room smell horrible. There were definitely prostitutes and groups of people barbecuing in different parts of the parking lot every night.

Oir stay was decent. Had a fridge and a microwave that worked well. Beds were comfortable. Loved the blackout shade! Nice shower and shampoos and bodywash. My only issues were i saw a couple of bugs scurrying around. I thought maybe they were bedbugs, but we weren't bitten to our knowledge. Also there was no place to hang clothes. There was a full size ironing board in the room. I ended up hanging my shirts from one of the legs while it leaned against the wall.

This place deserves more stars. Miguel at the front desk was very helpful.

Loved staying here. Basic hotel room, but close to everything. The staff was very helpful and fun!
