The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent location with great views and proximity to various attractions. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with hidden fees, poor maintenance, and inconsistent service quality.

Clean, comfortable room with great view and close to everything.

What we did not like is that our room was not ready for us to check-in right away, for example our key card did not work and we had to wait for security to do maintenance twice also not a variety of places to eat at inside the resort hotel. There was no spa on sight for self care like it states in there hotel descriptions , we were not given the right room in the first place I had originally booked and it took forever to have extra toilet paper and tissue paper sent to our room until we had to let hotel staff know that housekeeping forgot to put some in our room after they cleaned in between our stay. The price we paid was not worth it and the room was not up to our standards. It is far away from the marina bay and it is a long walk away from local restaurants to eat at or do some local shopping around the area. Our stay did not allow us to enjoy our anniversary celebration and put a damper in our plans while visiting San Diego causing us to shorten our trip and head back earlier , the hotel needs to have their information updated so that customers are not mislead before booking .

Room was clean and was equipped with a good bathroom. Location, close to Glaslamp and Uber brings you anywhere else you want. View, if lucky, overviews the bay area. Beds were very good. The spa was closed for the whole duration of our stay. Double charged the resort fee worth USD 388. After back and forth finally got refunded the overcharge. No apologies or nothing in response. Just this dry answer: Upon review we have removed he duplicate charges and refunded it to the card on file. Updated folios have been sent to the email on file reflecting the refund. I expect better.

This hotel has a great location for Petco Park and the Gaslamp Quarter. However, it is a very long walk to the USS Midway and other attractions on the port.
- 4/5
Great staff and overall I would say they do a good job at making sure things are nice and clean. The amenities are elite and EVERYTHING is extremely convenient. They have 2 jacuzzis and their pool is really nice and open too. They had it heated since it ended up being gloomy and chilly around the time we were staying. Only complaint is that our room wasn’t ready when we got there so we had to wait almost 3 hours after checking in, but the customer service did make up for it. They comped our resort fee and gave us $15 a day cards to use at restaurants/cafes in the hotel. Would definitely return
- 5/5
Comfy and clean beds. Always great service! We ordered turkey club sandwiches through room service and they were delicious. Hilton is always our go to when staying in San Diego.

Room was clean and staff was extremely helpful. Mattress was a bit firm but still comfortable after a long day's walk. Close walk to Gaslamp and restaurants in vicinity. Great stay.
- 4/5
Next morning as were getting ready, we noticed some details that had been overlooked. Looking out the window, there were drips of what appeared to be paint, or maybe sealer, coming from the top of the window sill. The tall lamp by the window had a piece hanging down from if, as did the bed-lamp mounted on the wall. Just details that I didn’t expect to see considering the $220 I spent for the night. The small makeup mirror was a nice touch in the bathroom; however, the light didn’t work on it. Plus, sitting on the counter made it uncomfortable to use. All in all our stay was good. It’s in the tiny details that expectations tend to get lost.

the hotel did not have spa and they are advertising it . there was construction going on it took 30 mintues to get to the hotel

The staff and that it was close to downtown San Diego The room had an old carpet smell and the Traffic for the game parking that was allowed in the hotel made a lot of traffic and it was a little overpriced for everything that was going on.

- 5/5
Great stay, clean, updated accommodations. Great location. Just across from Petco Stadium and on the bayfront near the seaport village. Short distance to the airport and to Coronado.
- 3.5/5
Pricy restaurant and mini mart
- 4/5
Room was well furnished, TV channels were plentiful, maid service was excellent, overall a restful room. Pool area can't accommodate a hotel this large so loungers and space in general left a lot to be desired. Food quality at the restaurant was mediocre and with the facility mostly empty there was still a wait for a hostess to seat us.
- 2/5
We were initially told that the room was only pending a final staff check and that it would take about 20 minutes. Instead, check-in was delayed for more than two hours, and we were finally able to get the room cards at 6:15 p.m. The receptionist was also very rude. Every time we tried to follow up on the promised 20 minutes, he asked us to wait again in the newly formed long line of guests checking in, instead of properly assisting us. Overall, it was a very frustrating and unprofessional check-in experience.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay! The hotel was super clean, and the staff was really helpful and welcoming. The location is perfect since it’s just down the street from downtown, and the Coronado Bridge is right around the corner. Definitely recommend staying here!
- 5/5
This was our first time at the property and we were fully impressed. The location is excellent for walking to the gas lamp, quarter and is a great launching spot for the zoo and Coronado. We will definitely be going back one of the nicest and most affordable places in San Diego

The beds were comfortable and the room)shower were very clean. $55 a night for parking is pretty steep considering there isn't anywhere else to park other than the hotels garage. Also the location is subpar it's in the ghetto part of the city!

Staff and location Room view on industial complex. I was under the impression that I booked bayview. Lack of transparency when it comes to billing. 5% surchage added to all purchassed as well as 20% tip whihc was hidden on a reciept packed behind the total.
- 3/5
Quick check in, parking wasn’t too far Area, parking garage too busy with other guests other than hotel guests, mattress so uncomfortable, had trouble contacting to WiFi, reception was best in garage, maid service didn’t clean up room as well as expected, front desk didn’t explain hardly anything about the hotel,
- 3/5
There’s also a mandatory resort fee, and $55/night for parking
- 5/5
Had a great stay, the staff were fantastic and would definitely chose this hotel for our next visit.
- 5/5
Some standout perks worth highlighting: Refill Water Stations: A small but mighty perk included in the daily resort fee. No need to constantly run out for bottled water. In-N-Out Garage Privileges: I was driving a rental car to visit family and friends around San Diego, and not having to pay an in/out fee every time I left the garage was a huge convenience. $15 Daily Food & Beverage Credit: I finally got to use this and tried Hudson, the restaurant inside the hotel. The menu options were impressive, the food was delicious, and the staff were attentive even during a very busy service. I loved being able to bill everything directly to my room — it made life so much easier. Wi-Fi Included: As someone who needed to sneak in a little work even while trying to unplug, I appreciated having Wi-Fi in the room. I did experience some connection drops on two of the five days, but it resolved on its own each time. Minor issue overall.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel and experience. Will definitely stay there again.
- 1/5
Our check-in experience was disappointing. The front desk staff checked my ID and left it on the counter, which could have easily resulted in it being forgotten or misplaced. At the pool, the service was also lacking. A waitress passed by our group, and when I tried to get her attention, she said she would return but never did. Another waiter walked past us without asking if we needed assistance. In addition, the A/C in our room was not working properly. Overall, our experience at the Hilton was negative.

Great location, excellent staff and food Our bathroom was looking a bit old, The tub was pretty worn and stained. Maybe it could use a little update
- 3/5
The location was probably the best possible place to stay because it is close to everything which made it easy to explore after staying there for a conference. It was easy to walk almost anywhere in the gaslamp quarter, petco park, and all the way down the waterfront area. The restaurant and bar on the main floor were both fantastic and highly recommended. We found multiple mosquitoes in our room that were there upon arrival and bit us during our stay. The trash bags were not in the trash can and were just laid on top. The pillows were so soft they were almost pointless, but the mattress was quite comfortable. The room temperature goes down to 68, but at night when you are sleeping and the sensor doesn't think anyone is in the room, the air conditioning shuts off and the room gets very stuffy. There were no bath mats for the shower and they only provided two towels. Anytime we left the room, we took the privacy sign off the door, but despite being out of the room a lot for 6+ hours a day, we never had our room serviced. For $600 a night, I do expect the room to be serviced and to have a room without mosquitoes where the room stays at a decent temperature.

The location is close to downtown, Petco Park, convention center. The pool is very very very nice, especially in the evening and I would suggest to extend the hours until 11:00 pm :) The staff was nice also. The hotel is big and crowded, but it is quiet inside the room. This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel. I’m glad I stayed again here. Pool hours can be extended for adults :)

Hotel was just as described. Upgraded to better view which was well worth it. Parking was tough on game days but that’s too be expected. The key card never worked in parking garage which was a hassle but overall experience was wonderful.

This was a very nice hotel, we really enjoyed the cleanliness, amenities and how convenient it was to Petco park (walking distance). I do wish they had a little more for kids to do (different activities) besides the pool so that my kids could do a little more while in the hotel. They also do not accept cash in the stores/restaurants which was also a little inconvenient as that is a preference for myself and my kids who don't have debit cards but want to use their own money to buy things. However, I would definitely recommend, it is a very nice place to stay and the staff were all professional and helpful especially with recommending places to visit and eat offsite. We would stay again.
- 5/5
The breakfast was ok, food was cold, no salt and pepper, soggy bread!
- 5/5
Check in was quick and easy. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

I really liked that help was everywhere, including a text option which they checked in almost every everyday. I also found the location to be great, I am a runner, so the location of the hotel is awesome for all types of ocean (Bayside) running. It was also close to pretty much everything we wanted to do downtown. Room was great, view was amazing, breakfast was really good. I did find that sharing the parking garage with Padres stadium guests was slightly annoying, although we never had trouble parking (just sometimes on the 5th or 6th floor).

Front desk and bar staff were amazing. The fact that they would answer my texts asap and fully understand and easily answer my questions was super nice. Peter hooked us up with a high up room with a stunning view of the Coronado Bridge and Petco Park/Downtown. The room was clean and cozy. We went to see the Padres play so the bridge over to the stadium that’s connected to the hotel was insane. 5 minute walk from our room to the gates. Would definitely stay at the Hilton Bayfront again.

I booked on Expedia after checking the Hilton website and seeing it was roughly the same price. I had a feeling I’d be facing a (ridiculous) $55 parking fee upon arrival which was what the Hilton website had listed. Upon checking in, on top of the parking fee, I was also hit with a $42.00 “Urban Destination Fee” and another six bucks in local taxes. But not to worry I got a 15 dollar food credit and two “refillable” water bottles! This was not mentioned when I booked on Expedia…. So much for the transparency in fees….

The location is about it that I liked! The staff and house keeping was rude and kept hustling for tips! The house keeper actually walked into our room after we had returned (uninvited) and tried to give us a sob story about her family to get tips! Also, why is gratuity being added to the bill for breakfast for two? everytime we walked through the lobby we were approached for Hilton Points! I would like not be sold on things when i'm on vacation! we booked an appointment for a spa day only to have the person who was doing my husbands facial talk him out of getting the service! She lost money for the Spa!

Our stay at Hilton San Diego Bayfront was excellent! We traveled from Arizona with our daughters. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. The hotel has beautiful bay views and close to Petco park and convention center. It is easy to get in and out of the hotel with valet parking. A Starbucks is close and the hotel has a mini market with cafeteria too. It has lots of space for meetings and parties but they dont interfere with the rooms. We really enjoyed our stay. We traveled with our teenage girls and had a great time!
- 4/5
The rooms were clean, good view, quick service, shuttle option to the island.
- 3/5
The not-so-good: ‘bay view’ means overlooking the shipping docks. You do see water and bridge but it feels very industrial. Not a vacation feel. The bad: prices for any food items. Breakfast and meals are crazy expensive ($10 latte!!!) and of average quality. 20% mandatory service for breakfast even if the staff completely ignores you. To-go food prices at 2x what you may expect, even in a high-class hotel.

Close to downtown San Diego Our room was clogging in the shower and the water was coming up the sink from the shower. It smelled like sewer water disgusting. We called front desk then sent an email they wanted to refund $40 dollars. A slap in the face was there on business. Never again. Unsanitary.
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel! The view was amazing and the room was immaculate. We ate both lunch and breakfast at the restaurant overlooking the water and both were very good. Staff was super pleasant and we even got text messages checking on our satisfaction with everything. It’s a very short (and beautiful) walk over the bridge to Petco Park. Would absolutely stay here again.

Rooms are okay, ammenities are simple, some Front Desk Staff are veru inneficient, my key was not working, and after a long time, they realized it was the door lock with no battery, I had to make a line everytime my key didn't work which was a long wait, concierge was never there, and when they finally called security it took way longer that it shoukd've have, non o fthem where nice or empathic about it, the ladie was just like, make the line and wait, so i had to wait a couple of times more than 15-20 mins for them to change my keys, and after 4 times of that waste of time, they realized it was the door lock, I wouldn't have a problem if they were just nice and have someone who helped and solve the problem quicker.

Overpriced rooms. Bedding was similar to hospital bedding. Carpet was sticky. Attended a 3 day convention and breakfast was bland, coffee was lukewarm, overall not impressed. All wonderful. Only downside was $50 per night fir parking. We were told about the parking fee after being upsold an ocean view for an add’l $30 per night. Of course we would have said no to the room upgrade, if we were told in reverse order. Felt like a smarmy, and intentional move by the agent. I don’t care for trickery.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego! The staff were all super friendly—special shoutout to Chris at the front desk and the guys at the pool who were all really welcoming. My room was clean, and the location is beautiful with amazing bay views and perfect for a nice morning walk. I’m giving it 4 stars overall only because the shower pressure in my room was pretty weak and could definitely be improved. Still, a really enjoyable stay!

The ocean and the Coronado bridge was a beautiful view! Very clean and nice property. The beds were comfortable, any requests were attended to immediately. Great location also. You can walk right to the convention center and right across from the Gaslamp district! I would recommend
- 3/5
This is not a hotel, it is a conference center with hotel rooms and it feels that way through and through. Very nice, very pretty, very clean, very expensive, very loud, I've been more comfortable in every single La Quinta I have ever been in though in terms of overall hotel comfort. Shower was tepid at best. Rooms are kind of small if you have two people with full size luggage. Your room will look very cluttered for your stay. I won't be staying there again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, views of the bay, walking distance to gaslamp quarter and seaport village and free shuttle to hotel del Coronado!

I had a lovely view, staff were attentive, but went I got to my room it was dirty, toilet seat was dinged up, bed mattress coming out from under the bed, paint on bathroom shower ceiling was pealing hair in shower etc. When I informed the staff of these issue they gave me 50$ credit, apologized and sent staff right up. Hotel staff called 10 minutes later, and offered me a new room, i declined due to having already unpacked, was tired from travel and dealing with a shoulder injure. I appreciated there quick action, but was disappointed in the original quality of cleaning.

AI guided me to Hilton Bayfront San Diego, I paid over $400 for a double queen bed room, but the room did not provide kettle, slippers, tooth paste, and bottle water, all of which are commonly available in hotels half the price.. We went to sleep late last night, but this morning at 6 am, the alarm set by previous customers went off and woke us up. In addition, we had to pay another $50 for parking...I called the front desk in advance and was told parking would be free. Overall, the experience did not match the price paid.

- 2.5/5
The room was not completely cleaned no towels, no bags and garbage cans no hand soap
- 4.5/5
Convenient location. Clean, accommodation.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and the good was delicious! We will be back for the 4th of July .
- 5/5
It’s great
- 5/5
$50 parking fee excessive/unexpected and could be included in the base fee so that it does not give the impression of nickel and dime.
- 1/5
The staff failed to provide the benefits we were, apparently, entitled to until our last night there (events, discounts, etc.). They also didn't tell us that my card would be charged $100 per day while we were there. Then they tested the fire alarms at 5am on Thursday with no notice. That was all disappointing but the final straw was the cockroach (not waterbug) in our room and the complete lack of concern about it. Overall, not a great experience.
- 3/5
Staff friendly, the room was not what we booked and paid for. Great for corpora
- 5/5
Staff amenities Hudson & Nash all exceeded experience

Great location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
This is a gorgeous place in a great location. Room was beautiful, they upgraded me which was nice and staff was very friendly all around. I wish I stayed a little longer, but I will be back soon.
- 5/5
The bar offered a great menu to dine in or take out to your room. Food was great.
- 5/5
Staff was great. My group arrived early, and we still were able to get rooms. We put luggage away and headed over to the convention center. My room had a wonderful view. Traveling for business can be frustrating but this was a pleasure.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay
- 5/5
The hotel is so nice and the beds are comfy and I also never had to ask for them to clean the room or bring fresh towels. Fun location to walk anywhere you want also!! I will certainly stay again!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, comfy bed
- 5/5
Our corner room which is a bay view and city view was perfect!
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Parking is $50 each day.

- 5/5
Room was comfortable and clean
- 3/5
Staff could be more hospitable. There was an odor in the room, hotel parking garage was difficult to navigate pay.
- 5/5
Great room and service. Opt for breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location and facilities. Clean room. Accommodating staff and excellent service.
- 4/5
The majority of the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, which made our stay very enjoyable. However, I did have one minor negative experience at the front desk. After requesting extra towels and a blanket for the third time that day, one gentleman responded in a noticeably rude manner, stating that he had many rooms to manage and only one worker. While I understand that staff can be busy and under pressure, the tone and delivery felt unprofessional and unnecessary. That said, this was an isolated incident and did not overshadow the overall quality of our stay. I would still highly recommend the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and would gladly stay here again, as the hotel and overall service truly reflect a high standard of hospitality
- 5/5
Excellent location and everyone was incredible. Specifically Mel from Hudson and Nash
- 4/5
Bathroom door had some stains. Looks like it wasn’t clean well behind the handle. hallway leading to the room had lots of trash bags. it wasn’t pleasant walk, and we found these different times of the day.
- 5/5
Clean room. Location
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a prime location. Short walk to gaslamp district for a great dinner
- 2/5
Mandatory $45 resort fee and $50 parking, basically pops this hotel 100 more per night! Not to mention, there was a rave/dance outside hotel across street with loud music until midnight both nights!
- 3/5
Room is a connected room. I didn’t have the walk in shower as the pics showed online for the room I selected. Other than that it was a good stay. Clean room, great staff. Hotel has very good amenities.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff, restaurants and facilities very nice. Great location.
- 4/5
ok
- 1/5
While most of the stay was fine. The last day killed any chance of a recommendation. The power flickered the last day. That is out of their control. However, the elevators were then down. There was no communication and I could not get ahold of anyone at the hotel for a status. I ended up bringing my suitcases down 18 floors, on the stairs, with a bad knee. Only to get down to the lobby and be told that the upper floor elevators, starting in floor 19, were working. It would have been much better, for my now sore knee, to go up one floor. This, or any communication, was fully lacking. Then the staff was quite rude when asking about it and why there was no communication. I would never stay again or recommend this hotel
- 5/5
Good location with good bay front views
- 5/5
Very good!
- 4/5
Went to enjoy a muffin and coffee by the pool but it was too noisy due to the construction. There is a bad smell near on the Promenade level.
- 2/5
When I called to let hotel know i was going to have a late check in (2 am) they said that my reservation had been cancelled by expedia, which they did not cancel I called and spoke to representative in which they didn't know how that could of happen so I called the hotel back and told them that it didn't get cancelled by them so we could not figure out how that happen. #2 problem I got locked out of my room on Thursday I wondered why my key wouldn't work at parking garage so I stopped by front desk after returning the front desk re-keyed my cards, got to the room keys did not work, I called the front desk and she asked what color was it blinking I told her and she said the batteries needed to be changed in the lock she sent maintenance to my room, maintenance looked at the lock and said that was not the problem that it was a front desk issue and that he would meet me at the front desk, I get to front desk and he never came (maybe he called the front desk not sure) but front desk said it wasn't their issue it's a maintenace issue he looked over my account and said O it's a billing issue but wasn't sure why and that the system locked me out of my room and he didn't know why and gave me new keys and had security let me in the room. #3 issue -called front desk due to TV not connecting, they sent maintenance to come look at it and he worked on it and added a new cord and still couldn't get it to work and said it was an I.T. issue and that we could either not use the TV or move roo

Bathroom floor around toilet needed some attention

Having beds made, towels changed and room serviced daily, without special request, is a back to normal experience after first post pandemic years. Hilton stands on his brand.

Beautiful property
- 5/5
Clean rooms and amenities is whay stood out to me. Location is beautiful and peaceful.
- 4/5
Overall, I was happy with this Hilton. I have one issue however, their was a weird smell coming up from the sink in the bathroom, it smelled like old, standing water. I had to keep the bathroom door shut.
- 3/5
One of the restaurants on site was closed for most of our stay for no apparent reason or explanation. The other available restaurant was mediocre and overpriced. Digital key worked intermittently. Salesman tried to hard sell additional stays. Room was clean.
- 3/5
Room was okay, had a view of the Dole container shipyard and naval station. And a glimpse of the Coronado Bridge. Clean, comfortable bed…we went to a concert at Petco Park and this Hilton was the perfect location to spend the night instead of driving back home.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. A good place to stay. And the food is tasty in Hudson River restaurant
- 4/5
Constant perks are the views of the bay (we get the Bay View corner room) and location to gaslamp, ferry to Coronado, and Seaport Village.
- 5/5
Sorry, I hate these things. It is a great place. Do your due diligence.
- 2/5
For the prices this is not even 3 star hotel. Not recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 5/5
Cleanliness, and nice staff
- 5/5
Loved the hotel but the restaurant food was very expensive and awful. I’d never eat there again
- 5/5
Clean room, great view of San Diego and the Bay. Peter at Check in had great customer service.
- 3/5
Vallet parking $65 a night, self parking $55 a night and those are the only options near the hotel!
- 5/5
They gave me a beautiful room with 180 degree views to the downtown, coronada beach.
- 5/5
Yes breakfast excellent
- 4/5
At Canary Market, the cash system prompts for a tip on every purchase, which felt a bit awkward—especially when buying something simple like a bottle of Coke and wanting to skip tipping. When I booked through Expedia, I wasn’t aware of the resort fee or what it covered at the destination. That came as a surprise, and having clearer information upfront would have helped with planning. Overall, I loved the room view. Cleanliness was solid (4/5). The coffee machines, however, could use a more thorough cleaning and maintenance. I have some feedback on the flight part of my package that I hope I get a chance to relay.
- 1/5
Overcharging
- 5/5
Nice property
- 4/5
The hotel had poor order coming from the Bay Area inside the hotel, the double door was not fully functional working after hours they put signs to detour. Not all elevators had the key card reader available inside the elevator. And inside the restaurant it had smelled we died only there once and nothing after it smelled like a plumbing.
- 3/5
The city view has horrible noise from the trains at 3am in the morning
- 3/5
No real breakfast options as far as I could find. Coffee (Starbucks) was difficult to find and because of construction had to go to parking garage then down to find it. Late night options were not great (after event) . Because the Hilton is away from the center, you would think the understaffed eatery would be busy, but, they were not. The checkin host could barely speak english, and was otherwise distracted our entire exchange. for the price you expect at least a moderate to high level. The place is aging and needs upgrades too. We have stayed there many times over the years because of location to Shell and Baseball, but, perhaps it is time to search wider..
- 4/5
The room was nice and the staff was attentive! Close to a conference but the conference was not at the hotel itself
- 5/5
Everything is within walking distance, very nice hotel and rooms.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room , friendly staff
- 5/5
The bathtub in our room was extremely stained and the area across from the market appeared to be under construction. Also, it was a busy weekend and the front desk was a bit slow getting people checked in. We also found out as we were purchasing bottle of water from the market, that we were supposed to be provided “tokens” for complimentary waters upon check-in but we were not, so ended up spending an additional $30-ish for 4 waters. Other than that, everything was great. Our room was otherwise clean, the drinks and cheeseboard at the bar were delicious, valet was fast, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The on-site Starbucks and market were convenient and we appreciated being walking distance from restaurants, Petco Park, the convention center.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, quickly checked in and was able to go about the rest of my day in the city.
- 5/5
Great hotel stay, clean and very beautiful views. The hotel staff was very friendly and location incredibly decorated for Christmas. We will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Pros: Room was perfect and roomy with a great view. Hotel is a great venue for conferences. Housekeepers were very sweet and always concerned abt whether we needed our rooms cleaned.
- 5/5

Clean and excellent location.

Everything about the hotel was amazing!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, wonderful accommodating staff, perfect location, safe and inviting. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, very close to everything you could want to access downtown. Will absolutely come back
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, good bar, great staff and right on the bay and close to downtown and not to far away from local beaches.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Awesome view. Easy walk to Petco Park.
- 5/5
Nicely located near stadium and gaslamp. Plenty of restaurant options. Rooms were nice but we didn’t have a view.
- 5/5
Clean nice staff
- 2/5
I’ve stayed at a few Hilton’s before and have never had any issues but, the way that the Bayfront Hilton operates seems like a scam. They have high priced hidden fees, I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and got charged $375 in parking, destination fees and deposits for damages. When I reserved this room I was only told it would be $121 due at the building. Feels like bait and switch. There was also a sharp rusty pin in our shower curtain, I only know because it scratched me but didn’t go into my skin when I was showering, the bathtub fill wouldn’t shut off when switched to the shower head, the shower drain was also clogged and brought up some black gunk while the water was draining. I was able to get pictures and video of all of this.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, friendly staff, great views, great location.
- 5/5
The room was clean, comfortable and had an amazing view! All staff i came into contact with was very friendly and helpful! Amazing hotel and it will definitely be my next choice next time I need one!
- 4/5
While the stay and staff were amazing, we noticed stains on the sheet, subtle but noticeable in the morning. The stay nevertheless was great and would stay here again.
- 5/5
I liked that its very close to Petco Park, convention center and lots of restaurant and bars, stores. The staff was very helpful. Check in was very fast and easy. The room was great. Definitely will stay here again.
- 4/5
Didn't like being solicited for a credit card while walking to the elevators and also while going to the convenience store.
- 3/5
Its ok but not for 5 stars.
- 5/5
Very nice property. We just stayed one night and wasn't able to use many amenities but we like dthe comfortable room, easy check in, friendly staff, and perfect location to enjoy San Diego. We will be back!
- 5/5
Great views and spacious and comfortable room.
- 3/5
The room was a good size with a great view but there was no in room refrigerator l, only an empty cabinet where a refrigerator used to be. Also the pull out sofa bed was terrible, super uncomfortable, with no sheets, blanket or pillows. I expect more from a +$500 per night room!
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The Concierge, Karen in particular, is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with making your trip as great as it can be. The location of the hotel gives you easy access to attractions within walking distance, but most everything we wanted to do was only a 15 minute drive away. Has to be one of the favorite hotels I have stayed at. Hope to return soon.
- 2/5
I booked the Coronado view room which showed pictures of Coronado bridge and some boats on the website. When I got to the room my view was a bunch of trailers and cargo boxes. A little view of the Coronado bridge. I asked to be moved and the manager said ok at first but a few mins later he said they were sold out. I checked the website and there were rooms available. I went back to the lobby and spoke to another person who said he would move me for an additional fee but later said also they were sold out. After several mins talking to him. He finally moved me to another room but I had to pay an additional $80. I wasted over an hour getting my room moved. I told them the pictures are misleading and they need to change them. I could’ve gotten a city view room for only $15 more but they wouldn’t let me cancel with a refund so I could book another room. Other than that. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. But be aware of the room you reserve if you care about your view.
- 3/5
An event center attached to a very, very mid range hotel. For the price the rooms were extremely underwhelming. Very crowded and hectic in the lobby. The private events were pretty noisy late at night. I got no benefit at all from staying there. Won’t be back. I’m not sure i
- 5/5
Clean, nice amenities. Would prefer not to be sold to every time I cross the lobby.
- 4/5
Only one thing, parking lot is very expensive
- 5/5
Will visit this property again

Great location , beautiful restaurant and nice grounds
- 5/5
Great views, great pool, great location
- 5/5
Always great customer service
- 4/5
The hotel was in a good location
- 5/5
Because of her kindness and warmth, I chose to spend more time (and meals!) right at the hotel instead of going out she set such a welcoming, high-vibe tone for my entire stay. Mariana embodies what genuine hospitality should feel like. ✨ If you’re lucky enough to be checked in by her, you’re in for something special!
- 5/5
Spotless, Staff was unbelievably friendly & genuinely caring, amenities were outstanding.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Clean room, decent views, the staff were all very nice and helpful. The only real down side was the lack of a fridge in the room.
- 5/5
Great location for Petco Park! Clean rooms and comfortable bed
- 5/5
Beautiful view Clean rooms Everyone was helpful !
- 5/5
I was not aware there was a free breakfast, so my family and I did not partake.
- 5/5
Our stay at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront was fantastic! The customer service was top-notch from start to finish. We stayed here for an event at Petco Park, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. It was just a short and easy walk to the stadium. Being within walking distance of the Gaslamp Quarter and all the nearby activities was a huge plus as well. The views were absolutely great, and overall it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting San Diego!
- 5/5
Great service, great location
- 5/5
Nice rooms
- 4/5
Staff and people who work in the shops were not so nice, no smiles or anything
- 4/5
Enjoyed our experience. Beautiful Hotel but only wish we had a microwave and fridge in the room. Great customer service.
- 3/5
The low score is due to $500 hold, confusion over parking, great market but rooms without a fridge or do not dosturb signs, and housekeeping service that let toilet paper run out and didnt replinish coffee supply in room.
- 5/5
Ok
- 1/5
Horrible experience staff was rude
- 1/5
Horrible ecperience
- 5/5
It was by everything
- 5/5
Great hotel in a convenient location. I would stay again if the price was right.
- 5/5
Clean room, beautiful views, great staff… excellent hotel and beautiful city!
- 5/5
I loved that you could take the free shuttle bus over to Coronado! And I appreciated the $15 F&B daily credit to grab coffee + breakfast at the marketplace downstairs.
- 5/5
Everything about my stays at Hilton have been top notch, the only thing that I can say is an issue at some Hilton hotels is the AC unit not working properly at times.
- 5/5
What a beautiful experience and prime walking distance to must see destination
- 4/5
Refrigerator in our room did not work
- 5/5
Great overall experience.
- 5/5

Super clean room and the staff at the pool bar was exceptional.
- 5/5
Best hotel in San Diego!
- 2/5
i had a bad experience with this
- 5/5
Staff was awesome
- 5/5
Outside the walkway by the ocean was dark and a bit scary- we only walked a short distance. The valet and the bell service were AWESOME
- 5/5
Everyone was great! Everything was outstanding
- 5/5
San Diego’s best hotel! Closest to the water and pool view is top notch!
- 4/5
I didn’t like that my internet connection was weak and I lost my connection several times.
- 5/5
My stay here is excellent and the staff is amazing.
- 5/5
Thank you Hilton Bayfront for the amazing stay and hospitality. See you soon.
- 5/5
Didnt like the $50 day parking
- 5/5
Our view was beautiful! To wake up to an open ocean view was a true blessing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you Hinton bayfront for making our stay a great experience my family and I had a wonderful vacation.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great location for lots of restaurants. Walking distance to Petco Stadium. Boardwalk is beautiful and safe. Hotel and room were immaculate. We’d definitely Stay again.
- 5/5
Check-in was easy and the reception staff was very welcoming, he even accommodated having our room next to my family.
- 5/5
Clean helpful friendly
- 5/5
Every staff member from phone calls before our stay to every interaction while there made you feel important. Never a request made turned down. Would stay again and again if ever back in the area.
- 3/5
Fridge doesn’t work. Never replaced it
- 5/5
The view
- 5/5
The whole experience was fantastic. I was there for the GM Conference. Super friendly staff, along with the fantastic quality of food that was provided to us for Breakfast, Lunch and snacks. Awesome few of the bay and marina. Boardwalk was great to get out and walk along. Will be back for just a vacation.
- 5/5
Everything was great. I do recommend maybe opening the bar at an earlier time rather than 4pm. We arrived early and we had our belongings and while we waited until a room was available it would've been nice to sit at the bar and have a drink.
- 5/5
Parking is so expensive here. The pool is nice and it's the warmest in San Diego
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing!!!! Pool was amazing! Staff around the pool are very attentive and I never had to look around for someone to orders drinks or food. Maybe a slight disadvantage is that there are not enough pool chairs for all of the guests so you may want to arrive early to the pool if you need a chair. There are multiple convenient stores on property too incase you need anything as well as a gift shop. Very close to Gaslamp district as well as Petco Park. Many restaurants and bars nearby as well. I also arrived a few hours earlier than check in and they were able to give me a room even on a Saturday. Nothing but great things to say about this property.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff has been helpful! The view overlooking the bay was amazing.
- 5/5
It was good for family
- 5/5
We went the Padre game and then had a great steak dinner at Lou and Mickeys
- 1/5
I booked a 1 night 2 bed hotel with the additional charge of parking. I was unable to add the other 3 vehicles online so after booking I called. I was on the phone with a representative who informed me that additional vehicles were going to be charged at the front desk at the same price online. Day of check-in I was informed that the additional vehicles were going to be $50 dollars each, while online i payed $6 for the one truck. I was hugely upset and will no longer be booking future stays at this Hilton.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and service. Room was clean and very comfy.
- 5/5
This is a great hotel. Beautiful, very clean. And very convenient to everything with a beautiful view. The food though is no where near the price charged. We had dinner there once only then went to the Gaslamp district.
- 5/5
Very nice place, clean and convient
- 3/5
I was not happy with the help we needed and we did not get it. All we ask was to park on the side of the hotel for one night due to coming back from an event and we was not able to meet the garage height, and the hotel customer service said NO we are sorry.
- 3/5
Check in took too long
- 5/5
We had a corner view. Was really wonderful stay. Quiet and perfectly convenient. Highly recommend.
- 2/5
Mid for the price
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and had many amenities. We were able to check in early and had a beautiful view of the bay. I would highly recommend this resort and would stay here again.
- 5/5
great property. the staff is very friendly for the most part. unfortunately, the valet at the main entrance is horrible. they show no interest in helping out at all. they didn’t even come to the car to help…we had to get out of the car and walk over to them. when we called to have them bring the car for us later that evening , as we were walking down from the room, they parked our car behind a ton of other parked cars and didn’t even offer to get the car for us. the valet just handed me my keys am told me “ your car is over there”. the couple of times we came in and out of the main entrance the 4 valet attendants were just standing around on their phones. no greeting, no thank you for coming…just faces buried in their phones. very disappointed with that experience. those guys are literally the first impression when you arrive and should at least acknowledge the guests with a genuine welcome.
- 4/5
Loved the hotel. Excellent customer service. Only negative thing is the pool needs to be updated. It is very slippery when you get out. My husband slipped and I saw a couple of other guests slip. The tiles are loose. I hope they fix it because I would like to come back.
- 5/5
We LOVE this hotel and stay here whenever in the SD area. It's not only beautiful, but everyone who works there is friendly and always helpful.
- 5/5
Everyone there was so kind and helpful. Love this place. I can't wait to go back in the spring
- 5/5
The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and had a nice atmosphere. Best of all, the price was very reasonable for the area, making it a great value. We’d definitely stay here again
- 5/5
The one negative, if you can call it that, was the drain in the sink sounded like it was dripping after shutting the faucet off, but it quickly stopped.
- 5/5

Very nice clean friendly
- 5/5
We absolutely loved the beauty, fun and ambiance of this property. The view of the bay area was incredible. We loved walking the path along the nearby marina, feeling safe and sound the entire stay. A great property.
- 2/5
Property was very pretty very convenient. They had to change out my room three times because the guest room was not what I booked. The second room was very humid and the floor was wet which was bet weird. The last room I just settled for it was fine. The house keeping kept coming in my room even though I had the privacy tag on the door. I spoke to the house keeping manager to tell her what was going on. She said she wasn’t sure why they went in after knowing the sign was on the door. Welp they continued to do so. It was very annoying and frustrating. I’ll never book that hotel ever again. Totally ruined my 50th bday experience.

Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff! Thank you Melvin
- 5/5
..
- 3/5
Pool was very nice and staff was nice. Valet is very expensive and not helpful. No mini fridge in room, which is odd even with renovations. Not a nice view of the Coronado bridge, mainly of port which is loud until midnight.
- 4/5
The only issue we had was that the hotel was hosting a wedding on the 4the floor, and the music was so loud that it was keeping us from being able to sleep in our room on the 8th floor. If the hotel plans to allow for concert level music in their ballrooms then they should do a lot more to soundproof the event spaces to protect the rest of the hotel from the noise. I would stay here again, but I will also look for other options next time.
- 3/5
Bars open sooner
- 5/5
Awesome location with mouth watering selection of food and sweets. Fast and easy check in and out and good services.
- 5/5
Would stay here again !
- 5/5
Everything from the time we checked in to the day we checked out was wonderful
- 5/5
Staff was attentive to needs and requests.
- 5/5
Everything staff , pool
- 5/5
Everything was great, except the shower curtain could be longer so the bathroom won’t flood
- 5/5
Perfect waterfront views!
- 5/5
We’ve been here before and this is the best hotel at all aspects. The whole staff is super friendly and helpful. I 100% recommend this hotel!!
- 5/5
Great staff. The room was very clean. Nice restaurant and bar area. Short walk to Petco Park through easy access walkway.
- 5/5
Great property! Will stay there again.
- 5/5
Good and clean just outside area not the best part of down town. Great inside the hotel and resort lots to do, and close to everything.
- 5/5

Spent the weekend on a Father Son getaway to watch a baseball game. Hotel is amazing with beautiful rooms and a great view. Walking distance to the stadium was a huge perk with a 9 year old. Upon checking in I paid to upgrade our room. Unfortunately we were placed next to a room under construction. George at the front desk was incredible and made sure we were taken care of. He was so positive and friendly he is everything you would want as an employee. It was obvious he cared about making our memorable weekend great. Thank you again George.

Would definitely stay here again.

The fact that you don’t offer, water is extremely odd. I certainly would expect more from a four-star Hilton. Also, it was extremely odd that you didn’t offer room service. Again, the staff was fantastic! When you pay these rates, you should expect some benefits.

Poor service, hidden fees

Very dirty hotel. Could be better with some upgraded and proper cleaning in rooms

Pros: dining options, walking distance to Petco and Gas Lamp area, close to Coronado Bay, friendly staff. Cons: No microwaves in rooms, dead ends at Naval yard, room A/C has a minimum temp of 68 and rooms get humid, charge for everything even simple bike rentals that could easily be complimentary.

Excellent!

Nothing great.

The location to the stadium and GasLamp district is very nice. Shirt ride to the commuter trains. The hotel itself is very nice. We were disappointed in our room. We paid extra for a water view room…. Instead they put us in a room right off the elevator and the view was the roof. When I called downstairs about it they told me this was the only room available. We were not offered a discount for the room. So, our accommodation should have been better. That is where they missed the mark.

Great looking property. Friendly staff!

Great comfortable place to stay. I enjoyed the pool and how easy to get everywhere. Free shuttle to Coronado was great!
- 4/5
Expensive, especially parking and destination/resort fee but assume probably normal for this type of location.

The overall experience was great. Although there was construction on top floor at 8 am.

But expensive compared to similar properties in SD

Nice. Convenient and easy.

Paid parking is way over priced. Renting a wheel chair for $80 was a joke. Should of been free. I would rather stay somewhere else as the choices are many.

Outside of that .. WE LOVED the Hotel.. Very Clean and inviting.. Great Overall Experience .. Staff and Restaurant Servers were fantastic>

Clean hotel and friendly staff.

The photos on the website were completely misleading-my room's only view was of shipping containers being loaded and unloaded at the port, nothing like the beautiful bay view shown online. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and showed no courtesy at all. I feel scammed and very disappointed.

This property was in the perfect location for the ballpark and the gaslamp district and has a beautoful walking path along the water. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The parking is expensive but that seems to be the trend in San Diego. Overall it was a great stay.
