Reviews
The hotel has a great location in Little Italy, but the rooms are dirty and poorly maintained. The staff is not always present or helpful, and the check-in process is often difficult and confusing.

Location You can hear everything coming from the rooms next door. The air conditioner was broken, there was only one employee working on the property after 4 pm only . The housekeeper never said “hi,” “good morning,” or “how are you?” She would walk right past guests as if they didn’t exist, I did not feel welcome in this place .

Lovely hotel, nicely decorated & clean, only a suspicious mark on the bathroom wall that'd been missed, or would have had full points there Parking. Not a place to go if you are driving as expensive to park or else very challenging to park free

Great location, comfy, and good amenities. Bathroom was clean and easy. Initially didnt recieve a code to my room, lucky there was staff when I got in (staff not always in premise) but quick to answer chat.

Proximity to conference The hotel has provided conflicting information that does not match what's on their listing. I booked this hotel for a staff member for a work trip. First, they email you a registration card a few days before check-in that you have to fill out in order to get the key codes to the property and room. I sent this to my coworker to fill out and she noted that during this process, they make you provide your credit card information and that they included a bullet point saying that there is a "daily Amenity Fee of $25 plus tax...which includes access to the Amenity Room, morning breakfast snacks, and in-room coffee maker with complimentary coffee, a billiards table, and a fire pit area for evening gatherings." They emailed me a few hours before check-in with a link to pay an invoice of $121.97. I asked them to clarify what this charge was for and they responded saying, "The additional $121.97 is an amenity fee, it's $25 per night plus tax. It covers high-speed WiFi, access to the amenity room with a pool table and coffee station, and light breakfast snacks." I responded saying that none of this was disclosed upon booking my room nor is it on their listing. They responded and their reasoning for the charge changed, "The amenity fee is a required charge imposed by the City of San Diego on all hospitality businesses...With that said, the charge is valid." Additionally, my coworker reported many issues with the room that were not resolved during her stay. Day 1: Reported that there were fruit flies in room. Was assured the issue would be addressed. Day 2: Returned to room find that it had not been serviced. At that time, there were no towels or hand soap, and the fruit flies were still present. Contacted hotel that afternoon. Day 3: Contacted hotel again. Day 4: Room was finally serviced. The fruit fly issue persisted through the remainder of stay, until departure on Day 5.
