Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness and convenient location, with many restaurants and attractions nearby. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful. However, some guests have complained about noise, either from inside the hotel or from the surrounding area. Additionally, some guests have noted that the hotel is older and could use some updates.

Rude; jacked the price; noisy; needs repairs; nothing good to say and I am an easy graded; go to best western
- 2.5/5
Location was good for what I needed Property is rather old. I was put on the 1st floor which I am not a fan of.
- 3.5/5
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Some of the lights did not work. A little noisy because I was close to the pool.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast and location In my opinion, it was a little dated. Maybe could use more up to date accommodations like new beds, linen, etc.
- 5/5
Great helpful staff, location location location!!!, pool and guest laundry. Close to the fishing landing and many great restaurants. There was a barking dog in one of the rooms.
- 4/5
I was there for just a short stay. I arrived later in the evening and checked out early morning. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 3.5/5
Close to everything! Rooms like the walls, sink and tub should be updated.. I can see it was patch work not fully attending to the actual problem.
- 1.5/5
Poor
- 4/5
It’s directly across the street from San Diego‘s most prolific sport Fishing fleets, which makes it an excellent choice for out of town anglers! Additionally, they do offer paid parking so you can leave your vehicle there instead of the paid parking at Fishermans Landing for guests.

Very good

Room and bathroom was clean and good size. Had all the amenities you'd expect. Most of all it is a great location thats within walking distance to restaurants and shops and the marina. Hotel is a good value and stay overall. Nothing.

BUDGET Remeber that when you get to your room. Affordable yes, but dated is generous description. Stayed 3 nights, no maid service, had to continually ask for bath towels. I’d say the sheets were clean but everything else was just run down, I was constantly expecting to be surprised by something?? Needs to be maintained in a bad way, felt like 1980’s in a broken way. Large gaps under front door, cracked and wobbly tiles, towel rack feel off wall when I pulled hand towel off. Everything is OLD AND WELL USED. If the service was better yiu may be able to over look the age, but the service was below average. Location is fantastic in my opinion

Bad
- 3/5
Ease of check in, clean bathroom. A bottle of water (not even a name brand) cost $3.75. I find this excessive. The musty smell when we entered the room. AC was off.

Exceptional
- 5/5
staff was super friendly and helpful. the location was perfect, close to the airport, lots of choices for food along the shoreline. I can't think of anything negative. There was a breakfast included and even though it was a continental type everything was clean and fresh

The free breakfast was Continental, which is cold.. the description should have said that. I was expecting a hot breakfast with one or two different options…. Scrambled eggs with sausage or bacon and hashbrowns and they usually have pancakes or French toast or there is a waffle maker … Next time I will call and ask about the breakfast.
- 2/5
We chose this hotel because of location. However, we were very disappointed because it is very old, run down, and dirty. And the rooms are tiny! The staff were friendly and helpful, but we will not go back.
- 2/5
It was close to the harbor which was nice, but the property is very run down
- 3/5
Parking can get limited in evening once all guests are checked in.
- 5/5
Return guest several times!! Love the location in Pt. Loma. Area is very walkable. Room was fine in general. Had everything that I require & it was quiet since I was there for 4 nights. Several days of work. Breakfast is decent, but could be enhanced with a couple "hot" items like eggs/bacon or similar. Bed was nice & TV was excellent. Everything worked except for the rolling desk chair. Wouldn't go up & down and the arms were loose. I will return in the future!! BTW, if you check in online prior to arrival, it makes the actual check in process very fast...
- 4/5
The air conditioning worked good. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking close. We only stayed 1 night. The free breakfast isnt a gourmet meal, but it is good. Fresh fruits, juices, coffee, cereal, milk, danishes, oatmeal. Also has waffle maker. The only not so good thing I can say is walls are very thin. We had alot of noisy people coming and going and talking in the halls. We were also in the separate building by the pool. I think the main rooms in the lobby building might be better.
- 1/5
Horrible customer support
- 2/5
The bathroom had a cinch other than that. It was clean and the staff was helpful. The safe didn't work but they came up to fix it. But the stench was coming either from the sewage, and I had to close the bathroom door.\n They kept the the doors open at night. The exits open at night. And the place smelled like fresh paint\nI don't know if it was to hide the stench of the sewage again other than that , the place was clean but the stench was something special
- 5/5
Good place
- 3/5
Our room was never serviced even when we didn’t have our do not disturb sign. Upon leaving we were unsure how to check out because no one was at the desk. The rooms are out dated. Have patched up holes. No bugs which is a positive. Continental breakfast was poor. Cereal, pastries, banana n juice, coffee. Upon check In the lady was very nice and professional she was the best part of the stay. Will never book again.
- 3/5
They charge for WiFi... Ramada still in the 90s
- 3/5
Adequate breakfast; room flooring not secure
- 4/5
Ramada was a good experience.
- 5/5
Yes the AC was great parking is a bit tight but the staff will assist and it is very safe. The staff is just amazing. I will be staying here when ever I am in the area.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and friendly and they knew everything about the area. housekeeping did a great job with the room, the breakfast was good enough, and there is a Winchell's right next door. I really enjoyed this hotel and we were lucky enough to show up for the sport fishing festival and the entire area was festive and fun.
- 1/5
The hotel was old.The bathroom was like being in a homeless shelter. It was horrible next time.I know better
- 2/5
The doors and walls had dirt smudges all over the place. The bathroom door jam was jacked up. TV channel changer seemed to work intermittently
- 2/5
This place was a huge disappointment!! Nothing more than a 2 star motel 6. Tiny rooms, smelled like pee throughout the motel. I wasted $100 in rewards cash and $333 of my cash to stay in a cheap and stinky motel. Don’t waste your money on this place.
- 5/5
The room was great. Hotel was great and surrounding area was great. Recommend for affordable stay.
- 4/5
We paid this with wells fargo debit card What we need to do ? Kind regards
- 3/5
Ran out of soap on the first day
- 1/5
Modernize
- 4/5
Decent. No bagels :(
- 3/5
It was okay for what it is. The street made it loud.
- 4/5
The rooms are way too small and the bathrooms are in bad condition. Parts of the wall are broken and it really needs improvement.
- 4/5
Cold basic breakfast buffet in line with other low priced hotels. No bar or restaurant but options available in walking distance. Short taxi ride to and from San Diego airport.
- 1/5
I was completely fooled by the pictures. The hotel is in a great spot right by the bay and great restaurants. However, we couldn’t wait to get out of there. The place is incredibly old and dirty and attracts sketchy clientele. Ducks in the pool. Peeling paint in the rooms, dirty and old bathrooms, cracked tile, horribly dirty air vents and windows. Tiny breakfast area which was meant to hold about 8 people. All in all it was bad, bordering on scary and lots of homeless people around the parking lots.
- 1/5
Room was filthy. I had to Lysol and bleach it down. Every surface was dirty. Shower was also not great. Just felt very nasty. There were stains on the wash clothes, and it had a weird smell.
- 1/5
Not clean run down property
- 4/5
The staff were great. Room was clean and updated, except for the bathroom, which could use a remodel itself. Breakfast was limited.
- 3/5
Staff very pleasant. Air conditioning was adequate. Parking felt safe. Bum yelling in the middle of the night, NOT GOOD.
- 5/5
Great service and location
- 5/5
The pool was not cleaned just tbe deck area. The hallway by our room was not swept.
- 3/5
This hotel definitely needs some updating. It’s pretty outdated and old. The elevator is super small and looks sketchy. It even smells old in the hallways. The walls are super thin and you could hear everything in the hallways. We could easily hear kids running back and forth all morning. The ladies at the front desk though are super nice and she even called me when my room was ready because I had got there before check in time. We only slept there 1 night which was ok but I don’t think I would book there again if it was for more than 1 night.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good location because it is near the dog beach and Point Loma Seafoods for a lovely walk in the evening across the street for dinner. Also, walk on Shelter Island. Possibly the best location for a hotel in San Diego.
- 5/5
The beds are super comfortable. TVs are perfect size. Great showers. Clean. Very good free continental breakfast. The staff during the day are awesome! Joe, who does the very late shift is very cranky guy! Will recommend this hotel to friends and family in strangers!
- 2/5
Pool was green with ducks in it. Breakfast was slim options. The bed was hard and pillowcase rough. Room was tiny with peeling paint everywhere. Sign said they clean the room and replace towels daily, but thats only upon request daily.
- 3/5
Anyway Im good to follow whatever the hotel’s policy but their instructions should be consistent. Their hotel sticker on the sink mirror said differently from how their housekeeping works.
- 5/5
This hotel has a great location near the ocean boat docks and seafood restaurants. It's also close to the ferries to Coronado Bay. It has a nice pool and room was clean. Wonderful hotel!
- 4/5
The room with a harbor view was the best ! They were able to accommodate me since I came in a day early. Free breakfast and good location.
- 3/5
Room was not cleaned properly.. and fridge and laundry was not working
- 5/5
It met my pirposes
- 2/5
Staff was great. Nice area. Hotel was a dive.
- 2/5
Pretty run down hotel
- 4/5
Did not at all
- 4/5
Clean room. House keeping staff is very friendly and efficient.
- 4/5
The staff were excellent For the location and price I don’t think you would find anything better.
- 1/5
Rooms is ok and bugs too
- 5/5
Clean and efficient. My dog got a good night sleep.
- 4/5
Property needs a renovation. The comp breakfast just has sweet items with the exception of hard boiled eggs. Definitely could use some hot, protein items. Great location in Pt. Loma/San Diego and free parking. Overall good value.
- 5/5
Really nice old school small hotel; more like a motel. Very nice staff and great location.
- 4/5
Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet was standard for this type of hotel.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Building is old but had new carpeting and recently remodeled bathroom. Location is fantastic, close to city center. Fantastic seafood just across street “Mitch’s Seafood.” Not fancy, mostly outdoor seating, but great food.
- 2/5
Staff not very welcoming and rude!
- 3/5
Ok, run down but they tried, AND it's right across from Harbor
- 1/5
The place was so dirty I couldn’t sleep
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable beds, quiet location. Very great experience.
- 3/5
The room had a pronounced mold smell that I couldn't get rid of. I left the windows open one day, but that didn't help.
- 1/5
Gave me a key to a room someone else was already staying in walked in on the occupant
- 3/5
Older hotel, hallways could use maintenance. Chipped paint on the elevator entries
- 4/5
Yes, the room was clean. Staff is great as well.
- 5/5
All was good
- 2/5
Climate controls did not work. Room was so humid. We had a lot to move and paid for a suite for this reason. This is not a suite, just a big room, poorly maintained.
- 5/5
Very nice clean and friendly staff
- 2/5
Shinning” On a plus, an important plus. although not what I chose and saw on line. The Room Was Clean. Just smaller than advertised. So small my husband and I could not stand up or walk by each other at the same time. Disappointed and will not be staying there again or anywhere with the same Hotel name tied to it.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice and welcoming. The bathroom was small and needed some tlc. But clean room and comfortable beds
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Good price for the area.
- 3/5
I really dislike the metal bed frame.
- 3/5
I have stayed at your hotel several times but this visit will probably be my last due to lack of cleaniless of room and general hotel condition.
- 4/5
I was given a room with a dirty toilet but the management change me to another without any problem
- 3/5
Staff nice. The room kinda dusty especially the floor. Breakfast not satisfied. Nice view in our balcony.
- 3/5
The room was fine. However, the location was horrendous. Slamming doors and people loud in the hallway all hours of the night. I asked to be moved to another room in the main building where I have stayed several times in the past.
- 4/5
Nice staff. Plenty of parking. Rooms are clean.
- 5/5
Very pleasent reception staff.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
rooms need update but worth the price near good restaurants and views .
- 4/5
No issues under any of these headings all was good
- 1/5
This place is run down. The door to the room didn't seem secure. The room was old. There was a huge stain on the chair in the room. The noise from the street outside was unbearable. There were shady people at the bus stop outside. I would not stay here again. Location is ok for airport purposes and the breakfast was nice, but overall, it was pretty bad.
- 4/5
Close to airport and the water, free on site parking.
- 2/5
No airport shuttle, no elevator near room, beds very loud/squeaky, pillows not comfortable, room outdated, lots of wear and tear. Only thing quality to eat was the waffle machine. Pretty pricey for sub motel 6 quality
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy check in, good location close to everything. Sparkling clean rooms.
- 3/5
We had issues with the toilet that wasn’t working properly. It would take a long time for the water tank to fill.
- 4/5
Room nice. Were told on check in that rooms would not be cleaned until we checked out. If we wanted maid serbvice before we checked out we would have to pay extra. Close to harbor and restaurants.
- 5/5
Yes.
- 1/5
black mold (and phone didn't really work)
- 3/5
First room smelled like smoke but I was moved to a new room, but that room faces into an alley so I had to make sure the windows were closed. Just wasn't super inviting.
- 2/5
AC made loud noise all night so couldn’t sleep with it on
- 5/5
Great stay. Everything was good.
- 5/5
everything was good
- 4/5
Nice to have a seating area in the room! The bedding and towels were clean.
- 4/5
There are a number of restaurants within walking distance.
- 4/5
Everything was ok at this time
- 3/5
Only there for a few hours the beds were comfortable and shower was good
- 5/5
I love the confortable beds and the Coffee and breakfast
- 4/5
It was clean. Yes, there's staff was courteous except the once when we checked in, not approachable.
- 5/5
Staff at the Wyndham are very polite and professional. Room was an excellent choice for a 3 day relax. I like seeing the renovation work.
- 5/5
The swimming pool was great. Staff was nice and professional. I enjoyed my stay there, and I'll visit there again. Thank you all
- 4/5
Ok place, decently cleaned. Decent free breakfast. Place could use a little pain on the doors and pick up some trash on side of building. Temperature was good, adjustable.
- 5/5
Very good selection and clean. Friendly staff
- 4/5
The room was clean, painted, but dated. The breakfast was filling but lack of hot items and the guests were left to their own devices and using serving utensils for whichever they wanted. The parking was good and free. The toilet flushes are loud.
- 4/5
The unit was close to the street and not very quiet, which made it difficult to rest at night.
- 5/5
Honestly perfect for what I needed. Love that there is a fridge with a freezer and that you had the option to have housekeeping when needed
- 4/5
Minimal
- 5/5
Apprciate the lady at front desk, very accomodating
- 4/5
Older property well refurbished. Convenient to the airport!
- 2/5
Room was on street level right at the sidewalk. People walking by at night. They should charge half price for these rooms and should have alerted me to this when I made the reservation. Maybe I’ll get a little sleep tonight now that I’m back home. Definitely do not recommend this Ramada facility.
- 4/5
Free parking was a big plus
- 5/5
Good staff and has all amenities. Not quite though.
- 3/5
The staff was professional and nice. My main issues are probably more of a company wide problem. I've stayed at a few Ramada's already and they have one of the worst breakfasts in all the hotel chains I've booked. Their designated breakfast areas are always too hot to stay to eat and not very many options. This one in particular, had particles in their juice and the milk was luke warm.
- 3/5
Room very small, cramped
- 2/5
I was disappointed that the floor of my room was made of slats of wood, and some of those slats had corners that stuck out and were painful to walk on, so I had to wear my shoes in the room. Also, the breakfast was pretty minimal. There were no hot eggs, bacon or sausage available.
- 5/5
Old property but very clean.
- 5/5
It been great staying at the Ramada. I will come back again to this hotel.
- 5/5
easy checkin clean room/facailitiues helpful friendly staff will be back
- 4/5
I appreciated the easy check in/out process and how quiet the rooms were. The breakfast area although basic, provided many staples similar to the larger chain hotels. It was a quick and convenient stay!
- 3/5
Was a nice place to stay, close to MCRD base. It is a bit older place but definitely comfortable to stay at. Staff is amazing. We are from Texas and will definitely stay here again
- 2/5
Staff was great, room was clean...hotel just RUN DOWN needs paint n upgrades BADLY
- 5/5
Convenient, cost effective for Shelter Island area. Will stay again
- 5/5
Very convenient location for Shelter Island with parking on site. Needs some updates, but the pricing is excellent, staff cordial and the only complaint was apparently some broken plumbing that brought sewer smell throughout the building and gnats everywhere.
- 5/5
The hotel crews were so hospitable. The place was accessible for leisure. Kudos.
- 2/5
Generally a run down property that has been sloppily painted over. Breakfast was all cold except for the tasteless waffles, with no attendant to keep the room clean and juices stocked. The elevator was only fit for a munchkin. Location near fisherman's landing was the only bright spot.
- 2/5
they had a metal wrap around the bed that made loud bending noises any time you got up.
- 4/5
They need to update their info on an airport shuttle. It was disappointing they don’t because the many travel companies said they offer a shuttle, and this is why I booked this hotel. I was upset at first, but the staffing saved the stay. They were very accommodating and helpful with great customer service. Way to go! I’ll be back.
- 2/5
The location is fantastic, but that is the only good thing. The walls are as thin as paper. Could hear every footstep and conversation around. Breakfast is not good.
- 4/5
The front desk didn't have laundry soap and the laundry closed @9pm so I was unable to wash my clothes before leaving.
- 2/5
It's good for the fisherman but for my family we found it dirty weird smelling and every morning there were worms crawling on the ground the place really needs to have some upgrades. I would recommend going elsewhere
- 4/5
Good, close to the marina.
- 5/5
Great area. Could easily walk to find food, drinks etc. next to the pier, it was super easy to get Lyfts to the beach etc. lower budget hotel, a little run down. For the cost and area. 10000x would return!
- 1/5
I was unable to check in as my flight being cancelled due
- 3/5
The outside of the building was not appealing. The inside of the facility was old needed cleaning paint job. The laminate floors in the room were lifting. Location was OK.
- 2/5
Room smelled mildly of sewage and the toilet was loose and rocked when you sat on it. Found a previous occupant’s hair clip on the floor beneath the sink.
- 5/5
There were some spots that needed some touch-up on paint. Other than that, the stay was fine. Very quiet, nice air conditioning, easy parking, reasonable price. Would come back again.
- 5/5
We stay here prior to fishing trips at the landings across the street. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. This property is always our first choice!
- 2/5
Breakfast was not great. Rooms were very basic next time I’ll spend the extra 60 and get a nicer hotel. Location was good.
- 3/5
Lobby was nice but room was small. Paint was chipping. No thermostat. Bed has metal plates that bangs and make noise whenever someone hits that.
- 2/5
Not good at all
- 4/5
Easy access to the airport.
- 1/5
I stayed in a king-size bedroom with a balcony. The bathroom was extremely small, the bed was uncomfortable, and there were visible dirt stains on the sheets, pillowcases, and chairs. Additionally, a book titled "The Teachings of Buddha" was on the nightstand. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
- 4/5
Definitely an older facility noy in terrible shape but due to be updated
- 1/5
Property on unsafe street!
- 3/5
The room was a lower average rating. The flooring was a bit dirty and details of the physical room were old and poorly repaired. The toilet let out a sewer smell. I could tell that the toilet wax ring was blown out and let the sewer smell in. They messily just caulked the base to the floor. But the bed was clean. I did like that all bedding was very white and visibly clean. The mattress and pillows were actually very comfortable. The people above us on the second floor had a kid that ran and stomped so loud the ceilings shook all morning and night. As for breakfast, it was a bit lacking. The only warm food offered was making a waffle. The coffee was not real brewed coffee. The coffee was instant coffee in hot water served in a large coffee dispenser. It took me a minute to figure out why it tasted so strange. That was a big disappointment. The location is good if you're looking for local places to walk to and eat. If you're only looking for a home base to come back and sleep, this place is fine.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 2/5
Overall the hotel had a dirty feel to it. The area was noisy. The room needed the AC on to be comfortable but the AC was SO noisy. Didn't sleep so well as a result. On the + side, being near the airport was convenient for an early flight.
- 1/5
the rooms had a distinct scent of over uae of cleaning chemicals
- 5/5
DISLIKE:
- 3/5
Could’ve been cleanerr
- 3/5
The hotel room was not good. It was noisy and the bathroom setting was not comfortable
- 4/5
Location is great. Rooms are out dated but comfortable. I like that we can leave the car for extended leave during our cruise. I will return in December for our next cruise.
- 5/5
I just want to compliment the lady in your breakfast area today. She was on top of everything. She was constantly restocking and assisting people. Great worker!
- 4/5

- 1/5
I entered, walked upto the desk, and the first thing out off the (one) man's mouth is, "Give me a minute." Not the best customer service. I appreciate they had vending. The elevator barely held, two bags, myself and a small dog. The only thing upgraded structurally is the lobby. Deceiving. You have to walk all the way to the end of the hotel on what looks like 20 YO carpet for this tiny elevator that doesn't look like it's gonna make it up one floor. For the money, this place is a rip off.
- 4/5
Midweek stay to visit the San Diego zoo, Safari & beaches. Hotel check in was fast and efficient. 2nd floor room facing the pool w/ great view. You have to use room key for all gates/doors and ice machine on the property (we felt safe). Took stairs everytime because we never found the elevator (good exercise). Basic continental breakfast w/ make your own waffles. Room was clean. Bed was comfy, take your own pillows if you want more comfort, theirs are ok. Bathroom/shower is privately seperated from sink & mirror which was very convenient. TV, fridge & microwave worked great! We didn't use coffee maker but was there if needed. Overall great stay with so much to see & do close by.
- 4/5
Older Ramada by Whydham. Comparing to the location in Anaheim I prefer the Anaheim location overall plus it’s newly renovated at that location. Some of the towels had stains on them. The plus side it’s close to the Marina and airport.
- 4/5
The location is very convenient to restaurants and the harbor. Ample free parking. The rooms are a little dated but just fine.(There appears to be a newer part of the hotel but we didn't stay in it.) Staff was friendly and went an extra mile to help locate a jacket I lost on the property. Breakfast was OK. I'd stay there again.
- 5/5
It was an older place but was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Nice area with a walk distance to some seafood restaurants by the marina!
- 5/5
Great and helpful staff
- 5/5
Close to fishing charters. Quick, friendly check in.
- 3/5
The street noise was bad.. We did like the breakfast and the close proximity to the Marina..
- 4/5
This hotel is our pick when we have an early flight. It’s super close to the airport and super convenient. Everyone is always nice and rooms are clean.
- 1/5
2. Bedsheet was itchy 3. No trash bags on bins 4. Asked front desk to upgrade room. Was brushed off unprofessionally.
- 5/5
Note for guests looking to stay: it’s not grand hotel but it clean and the staff takes care of you. There are cameras on the property and they see it at the desk. We felt safe. Just know you are by the airport but at night it’s pretty quiet 8/10.
- 5/5
Location is good. Staff is friendly and efficient
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Breakfast was just ok.
- 5/5
Property was in a nice area. Not a lot of traffic like downtown. Parking was great and plenty of restaurants around. I’m glad we picked to stay here than downtown.
- 2/5
The room was very large and it was nice to have two separate sleeping rooms but the property was not very clean. I did not have socks on and had all sorts of dirt sticking to the bottom of my feet. We stayed for two nights, and our room was not cleaned at all. We did not receive clean towels, and the garbage was never taken out. The breakfast was very minimal, fruit, waffles, cereal, juice and a few breakfast breads. I chose this hotel because it had 8 for a review. I think I would give it a 5 out of 10. I only used the elevator once and then always used the stairs because it was really dirty inside.
- 2/5
The gentleman was very nice when checking in, but unfortunately, the restroom was very dirty, smelled of urine and a lot of dirt in the corners and pubic hairs. There was nobody available to come clean the floor. When we called to ask, they did say that we could come down and get a mop, but nobody could mop for us. Not much else to say.

It was convenient, near the airport and free parking in a safe area.

Old property with bad vibes

Very good place

There was no mention that the maids wouldn’t clean the room and you had to request clean dry towels from the front desk.
- 3/5
Location close to the airport is convenient. Rooms and building are outdated.

Great

It was good but when I was checking in the front desk was not smiling at or with us. And in the room, the trash cans had no trash bags in them. It was kind of dirty also. We found some hair in the tub and on the floor, over all it was ok

very good service

The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful even fixed our TV

This was a dump and I wouldn’t

First room we were given was dirty. Second was cleaner but there was someone’s left over food open in the microwave & chewed gum left on the floor.

Included continental breakfast with you make it waffles was fun. Check in was a breeze. Room was nice size, but old, needed updating.

Toilet kept running, wasn’t secured to the floor so when you sat on it, it wobbled. No carpet and the flooring was sticking up in places.

The property is right off the bay. Loved looking at the ships. Would have liked a bigger variety for breakfast. Otherwise , wonderful older hotel.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Very good value for the price. I would stay there again.

Easy check in process. Place was clean and pet friendly, a plus for us.

Clean and quiet

The hotel’s facilities were below expectations. Upon check-in, the front desk staff failed to provide important information—such as the fact that the main access door becomes inoperable after a certain hour. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, and the breakfast was quite limited, offering only hard-boiled eggs, cereal, waffle batter, some fruit, and a very poor-quality coffee.

The location and the sheets were good otherwise this hotel is falling apart at the seams. Our bathroom looked like it was called by a 5 year old using toothpaste and the paint was blistered. I asked for a quiet room and I am pretty sure we got the noisiest room in the whole complex right on Scott street. The people above us sounded like a herd of elephants and it seemed they were moving all the furniture around at 3am. our door looked like someone had tried to break in at some point. Since it’s a great location I think Ramada could put a little effort into some improvements

The fitness center only had 1 treadmill that kept a shutting off from over heating. The machine would shut off after 3-4 minutes of using it. It would not restart immediately after. I asked the front desk and was informed they do not know what to do and maintenance is unavailable.

Our room was next to the road and it was noisy for us, the beds were also noisy and there were some stains on the sheets. However, the location was great, the staff was helpful.

The hotel is old and you can tell (or smell), the restrooms are small and uncomfortable, it is impossible not to get all the floor wet when you shower, our room was in a separate building and we had to walk around it and open two gates in order to get to the lobby and dinning area, speaking of dinning the breakfast was very limited of options. On the good side, staff was great and welcoming and the area is great and has a lot of stuff to do and see.

This stay wasn’t great,it started off bad because the first room they gave me the ac wasn’t working. Then they switched me to a different room and 2nd room was fine but unfortunately the wi-fi didn’t work, the only real positive of this place the location was good since your not very far from downtown but in reality you should spend the extra 40 bucks or 50 bucks to stay in a better hotel.

We had a nice stay at Ramada. Very close to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World, and an easy walk to have a meal at nearby Dennys. Room was clean, nice shower, comfy bed and an onsite great breakfast which is included with delicious easy to make waffles.

Conveniently located, clean and friendly staff.

Older property but comfy bed. Room is equipped with fridge and microwave. Good choice if you want to be close to the airport.

Do not recommend. Disappointed with Ramada for the first time. Mitch’s seafood at proximity was good.

When checking in I told the person in front desk that a guest uses wheelchair, ask if he has a a room in first floor, but he told me it was on second floor using an elevator, we thought it was ok, but when going to the room, we used the elevator, then we had to use stairs to reach the room, it was room 261.

It was nice to be able to check into our room early. We were in town for only 1 night for a family wedding. However, the hotel is a bit out dated/old. Also, our room was right next to a very busy street and we could hear cars ALL night long. The noise from a near by restuarant was also very loud!
