Beautiful property, stunning views of the legendary golf course and quiet surroundings

I'm very disappointed that when we booked the price on the website clearly said "total with taxes and fees" however, when we arrived we had to pay an extra $75 for parking and $65 resort fee plus tax. The wifi did not work properly in our room or in several spots on the property. The men's steam room was out of service. The room was very dark and old fashioned.

Perfect hotel at a perfect location!

Very nice and comfortable. Room was a nice size. Warm and cozy.

The pool, the courtyard, it’s all fine, the restaurants were OK, some of them labeled icons were not exactly iconic, but the one thing that stood out was the staff. The staff were really really nice, very accommodating and very very professional and great. The room was nice, it was accommodating, it was clean, no complaints, this setting is truly beautiful but our expectations for this price point were a little bit more.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool was very nice and we loved the area. Only downside was the room was very dated. There was a big wet spot on our carpet when we arrived. We are pretty certain the previous guest had a dog that urinated on the carpet. There was also dog poop in the hallway during our stay. Very unfortunate.

We had a good overall stay at the lodge

The staff are exceptional. We are there for breakfast and dinner and it went above and beyond with taste and presentation.

Everything was great! The food was delicious, the rooms were comfortable, clean, and big. The only thing I noticed was that they had Shampoo x 2 and body wash in the shower instead of Shampoo and Conditioner, but that might’ve been a small oversight. Would still recommend one hundred percent.

This place needs a lot of upgrades!! A lot!! Nothing really exciting, not even a nice place to have a bite! There is one restaurant without any ocean view and no variety of food!

Room was large. Staff courteous. Expensive for what you got. Couldn’t walk down to the water Torrey Pines was closed. Dinner took a long time at the grill. Several requests were forgotten

The Lodge at Torrey Pines delivers a level of class that is uncanny. The atmosphere is something like what you see in movies and the staff is kind and extremely respectful. 10/10 will be back

Everything was great; however the rooms are outdated.

Lovely touches inside the room - a fresh orchid, dark chocolate, turn down service with slippers ready to go, silky soft pillowcases, fluffy bright white bath towels, Fiji bottled water. All in addition to a beautiful room, lobby, and setting. Arrival service, including the valet, bellman, and front desk person, were all impeccable.

The staff was above and beyond exceptional. Rooms were very clean. Grounds were beautiful. I have zero complaints other than I wish I would have been notified I wasn’t going to have a balcony. Exceptional lodge, wonderful to celebrate a milestone birthday.

I have stayed at many hotels and the staff at The Lodge at Torrey Pines truly stands out as the "best." Everyone was so friendly, professional and helpful. I would include them all, but Tamia, at the front desk, really went "above and beyond" to assist me, as I was traveling alone. The room was great, very clean. It was an outstanding stay.

The staff at the lodge is world class! The best service and care I have seen in the past 10 years.

It's obvious that the setting will be beautiful, but the room was great as it was spacious with a balcony overlooking the golf course/Pacific Ocean. The staff is second to none. We're expecting our first child in January and they went out of their way to congratulate us and share a hand written note. My wife and I were both very impressed and hope to be back again in the future.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The staff is accommodating and anticipatory with your needs--very courteous. The rooms are so cozy and appointed with luxury items that make all the difference.

I called ahead to request two rooms near by each other since we have small kids who wanted to go between both rooms. The agent said they will be walkable by a courtyard. Although when we arrived the rooms could not have been any further from each other. We had to switch rooms and it ended up working out, but checking in with tired kids after a long drive, this is not the arrival experience I was hoping for.

The hotel rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly.

The spa was incredible…it had a steam room, aromatherapy room, great lounge and excellent showers and hair stations. The rooms included complimentary waters, robes and slippers and even a shoe mitt and shoe horn.

Absolutely beautiful!!! The food was delicious and the staff were incredible. The lounge for sunset is a 10!!! I can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful place. Staff is excellent. Took my mother-in-law there for her 90th birthday and the staff consistently and genuinely went out of their way to celebrate her and fuss over her. Meals are excellent, property is beautifully maintained. We had a fantastic time.

Setting, architecture of resort. Multiple places to sit and take in the views. Good at both the Grill and ARV were outstanding Cleanliness around the pool area. Hot tub had empty wine glasses and used towels laying around it all afternoon. The tile around the hot tub had napkins, silverware and a scrunchie. The hot tub itself had a considerable amount of sand in it. Staff wasn’t outwardly helpful

Beautiful property. Stayed here for our babymoon and wedding anniversary. Loved the amenities, dining options, and location! Husband also played a round of golf here which was a plus. Will definitely be back this time with our baby! :)

Loved the hotel. Restaurants were great, valet and check in was wonderful. The only complaint was that both days we were unable to get seats at the pool.

Well run hotel with excellent restaurants. Parking is convenient. Lots of extra fees is a negative, like $172 for my dog, $55 self parking and $60 resort fee (not part of basic amenities?). With so little competition nearby why not charge straight up?

The rooms are exceptionally quiet and spacious—ideal for catching up on work in the evenings. The in-room desk setup was functional, and Wi-Fi was consistently fast and reliable, which is crucial when you're juggling Zoom calls and presentations. There are also several elegant common areas where I held informal one-on-one meetings in a relaxed, private setting. The staff were respectful of my schedule, providing efficient service while ensuring I felt welcome. I appreciated how smoothly check-in/check-out went, and how easy it was to arrange transportation or get local recommendations between meetings. After work hours, the setting made it easy to unwind. Watching the sun set over the golf course with a glass of wine, or grabbing dinner at A.R. Valentien, was a great way to decompress. The proximity to Torrey Pines State Reserve was an unexpected bonus for a morning jog before the day began. If you're traveling for business but want an atmosphere that feels calm, elevated, and distinctly Californian, The Lodge at Torrey Pines hits the mark.

Excellent service, great room, although a little dated, it still felt high end.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. From the start at check in to check out. EVERYONE goes out of their way to improve your experience. I love the house keeping twice a day. The house keeping staff is included with staff that makes your stay more enjoyable. They do more than offer to clean room. They make sure you don’t need anything at all, or if you need any assistance at all. Definitely going back with the family.

The floor drain in the bathroom was backed up and spit out black mold or bile onto the bathroom floor when we used the bathtub.

Easy access to golf course.

Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views of the Torrey Pines golf course and Pacific Ocean from our Palisades room. Our room was spacious with a wonderful fireplace and large bathroom. The hotel amenities are nice, but the AR Valentine restaurant was under construction during our stay, which was unfortunate. I am taking a star off due to an old uncomfortable mattress that was extremely firm/springy, along with several nonfunctioning outlets throughout the room. The pillows provided zero support as well. I also did not appreciate the outrageous valet/resort fees at this hotel. $65/night for valet ($55 for self parking) and $60/night resort fees!! That’s an additional $125 a night for essentially nothing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay minus the few setbacks. Just be prepared to pay a pretty penny when you check out.

Exceptional property with extremely attentive staff. Probably one of the most warm and friendly resorts you can stay at and absent the Farmers tourney stands the ocean view is epic. Has it all hiking, world class golf, cuisine and epic pool area. You get what you pay for.

It does not worth what it cost.

I would not recommend staying here. The rooms are dated, musty and could use re-caulking. We were also notified at check in that they are doing construction in the courtyard. It would have been nice to know ahead of booking. Our room had a courtyard view and we were looking at what looked like garbage.

Property was well maintained, and staff was extremely courteous. The marine layer (all day thick fog) was out of their control, so the ocean front room for 2 days was a total waste. The food at the Grill Restaurant was just acceptable (i.e., nothing special) and very expensive. The overnight parking fee of $65 was quite high too. Overall, a nice place to stay for a special occasion.

Love the pool and both restaurants!! Great food! Front desk staff was very friendly & helpful! Also had a wonderful massage at the spa!! Loved my stay!! Would prefer regular coffee available in room! We had espresso only! :(

Beautiful property!

Staff was very supportive and the amenities were very nice and easily accessible. The location is also wonderful right near the famous golf courses as well as the state park.

It was exactly as we envisioned after seeing the tournaments played there. The room we had was expensive, but worth it! We had an ocean view with a fire place and a huge balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had both a shower and bathtub. We were able to eat at the Grill which is even the locals recommend place to eat. The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. Highly recommended for a special occasion or vacation! They had nowhere to buy snacks or drinks other than the bars. Very few snacks in the shop off the lobby.

Great staff and service. We enjoyed the complimentary car service in the s class Mercedes. Beautiful sunsets and view over the golf course. Torrey Pines State Reserve is only a mile or so away with great hiking trails and views, and the Torrey Pines Glider port and beach are only a mile or so away in the opposite direction with fun steep trails down to the beach. You can grab lunch at the gliderport and also paraglide or sit and watch the paragliders. The hotel is a bit older and not as high end in design/furnishings as we expected. Definitely a Lodge feel as though you are up in the mountains at an older property, but the rooms are spacious, the pool is heated and the service is great!

We stayed 3 nights. It was surprisingly crowded and not as fun as we had hoped. Service in all areas was rushed and struggling to keep up with the customers. It was ok but disappointing I’d say. Glad I went but won’t return. It was not a five star experience. More like a three star.

We had a very relaxing stay here. The property was incredibly peaceful, the staff went above and beyond in their service, and it’s such a beautiful place! We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel is great. We only had one snag regarding dinner at the grill. Their signature fire roasted chicken was very bad not cooked properly and basically un edible. We ate there two other times and the food was excellent.

A property, location, and service!

Every amenity in the room was unique and beyond clean. The main dining was beyond excellent in cuisine and professional service. Can't beat the views of golf course and ocean from the huge deck for ROOM 315 :)

We were disappointed in the restaurant. We had breakfast at The Grill and enjoyed it. The restaurant not so much. Asking for an additional tip for the cook staff considering the prices was inappropriate.

The highlights of this hotel are on the outside not the inside. Great location if you easily want to walk out the door to golf at Torrey Pines or hike the trails to the ocean down the road. The Lodge is pretty dated though throughout and is not up to par if you are looking for a modern resort experience. Landscaping is sparse and tired, lots of concrete in the rear courtyard areas that the rooms overlook, old wood and carpet in the hallways, Spa is very small, pool not attached, steam and sauna rooms are luke warm and disappointing. Overall, the prices and experience to stay here is not worth the value unless it's the convenience of the golf course that brings you here.

It’s nice but it’s a little outdated and the some of the staff were really friendly while others were clearly stressed and a bit short with responses. AR valentine was a disappointment. There’s a great lodge bar and the lodge grill is pretty good. Overall the stay was good but not great. They do not go out of their way to make you comfortable there. For example the pool is quite cold. However the gym and the spa are nice.

Our trip was amazing! Our room was spacious and met our needs. We traveled with our two dogs and the hotel was so gracious with our Corgi, Victoria, 7 months old and our little poodle Evita who is 7 years. They brought dog bowls and beds to our room. The food was fantastic and so was the service. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Amazing picturesque resort at a premier golf course. You feel like you are in Sherwood Forest except for the occasional F16 flyover from military airbase.

Torre Pines Lodge give one an exquisite stay for golf lovers at one of the world's greatest public courses made famous by the world's most famous golfers. The living and dining compliments the course. From the towels to the toiletries and wonderful linen and nestled wooded cottages. It all is simply fantastic. You will not forget this extraordinary experience.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is so lovely, especially its grounds. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. The pool area is beautiful. And we enjoyed seeing the Torrey pines and walking by the gorgeous golf course. We loved the mission style decor including the beautiful Stickley furniture and colorful glass windows and lamps. The toiletries also were top quality and smelled wonderful. All in all, we loved our stay. Only negatives were some noisy military jets that fly by quickly but quite loudly and the resort and parking fees added to the costs.

Beautiful property, lovely people work there who are so gracious and accommodating. Only problem was some small plumbing issues that were fixed quickly - the shower, sink, and tub.

We really love staying here! It's always well-kept and your staff is helpful & friendly. And the food is terrific, not to mention the dining room and the view!

Amazing resort

The place is ideal for golfers. So if you are not into this sport, the place is not for you. The pictures were a bit misleading to me as all the green area is the golf course where you are not allowed to go if you are not a player. So not much to do, the walk to the beach is long. Definitely do not recommend for younger people or family. Even the service was not great for such a pricey hotel. People knocking on your door early in the morning to check if you are still here. The food was good tho but the wait was long.
