Reviews
The hotel has a great location with beautiful views of the bay and is convenient for walking to nearby attractions. However, the property is outdated and in need of maintenance, with several guests reporting issues with their rooms such as dirty bathrooms, broken appliances, and poor soundproofing. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but some guests have had negative experiences with customer service.
- Great location with beautiful views of the bay

- Outdated property in need of maintenance
- Issues with room cleanliness and appliances

Not clean and very old room
- 4/5
Housekeeping and front desk check-in crew were both excellent. The rooms were very clean and the pool was well maintained. Only minor drawbacks were some clear rusting around the shower and a poorly designed sink. These are extremely minor in comparison to the excellent service and great location of this hotel.

Location was great. There were bugs crawling out from behind the portraits. It was a fat bug that did not look like it came from outside. Floors also made my feet itchy.

Excellent location on the harbor. Easy walking distance to all the harbor attractions. Short walk to Little Italy. Easy access to Coronado Island via the ferry. Great bayside views. No complimentary breakfast. No complimentary bottled water.

It is a very good and comfortable hotel

The staff was amazing and professional, the food amenities were great and convenient as well as delicious. The hotel overall was clean and the location was perfect.

Amazing service!
- 5/5
Good staff and good bay view
- 4/5
Check in took a little longer than expected as there was only one front desk clerk and a really long line. It wasn’t her fault as I heard her mention she asked for help but the manager brushed her off. The room was small but worked for us. The view of the bay was amazing and it was so neat
- 3/5
Location No hotel restaurant. Paper cups not coffee cups. No glasses just plastic cups. Had to request kettle for tea which eventually came. Problem with room not being serviced
- 5/5
Great place to stay if visiting san diego recommend
- 4/5
Everything was good. Except our room in tower 3 smelled really bad. Not sure if it was the carpet or the age of the hotel room. Had to sleep with balcony door open to air out.
- 5/5
Right across the street from the bay. Beautiful area.
- 2/5
Our room was not ready until 4:10 PM, despite the stated check-in time. In addition, the photos on the website did not accurately represent the room we received. We booked a Deluxe room, but it felt very basic and certainly did not meet our expectations of a deluxe accommodation, old and needs a renovation. Washroom was dirty. At approximately $500 per night, the value simply was not there. For this price point, I would recommend looking at other hotel options in San Diego.

Across the street from San Diego Bay Hotel needs updating. Old warn out

Overall positive stay, two glaring items were Tower 3 glass elevator reeked of human urine (and the smells gets worse as the day progresses and gets warmer), and one electrical outlet was shorting out in the room - would work for 3-5 seconds then flicker the light, same with any phone tablet laptop adapters, worked for 5 seconds then trip and self reset, which is alarming as a potential life safety (fire) issue. Did advise staff on checkout.
- 5/5
Great location near Little Italy in San Diego. Free and fast shuttle to the airport.
- 4.5/5
The location was perfect. We had a waterfront view and it was located close to the USS Midway museum and the Maritime Museum. Good restaurants across the road. We were told we couldn’t use the airport shuttle so booked an uber. While waiting for the uber the shuttle driver asked if we wanted a ride. Think some staff might need to be updated.
- 3.5/5
no breakfast. there are not many shops around. It was very difficult for international visitors to communicate with the hotel, as they never replied to emails or messages sent through Booking.com. When I checked in, the receptionist did not mention that the hotel provides a free airport shuttle service. I had to ask about it myself. In addition, the hotel charged me twice for my stay. The first time I went to the front desk, I was told that the charge would be offset against the amount I had already paid through Booking.com. However, the issue was not resolved until I returned to the front desk a second time and showed proof that my room had already been paid for through Booking.com. Only then did they release the duplicate charge on my credit card. The whole experience was very frustrating.

We stayed here to celebrate our 28th anniversary. The pros: Amazing views from the 10th floor facing the San Diego Bay. We were able to check in a couple hours early and the parking was close to the room. The shower was also very nice. The cons: the parking, it was way overpriced at $50 a night and there was no warming or advanced notice. The bed was also very hard. Overall, the location and views were 5 stars.
- 5/5
The cleaning staff around the property were so kind and helpful. Enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The staff was great
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to stay here and be able to walk to surrounding restaurants and things to do.
- 5/5
Excellent location and very helpful staff. The rooms were clean and the view from the bayside balcony was amazing.
- 4/5
Great views from bayside/ocean rooms, but not worth it without them. The whole place is worn and in need of renovation. Clean, everything works, and the staff is great.
- 5/5
The stay was perfect! The staff was courteous and professional. The bayside view from the balcony was breathtaking during the day, night, and especially at sunset. Poolside was immaculate and relaxing. I will return for another stay.
- 3/5
The hotel is located at a prime location with wonderful bay view but everything inside the hotel feels dirty, certainly not a 4-5 stars hotel like I have requested on the Expedia web site. The staff at least was understanding and nice enough to move us to another building with better layout and bed. We really loved the location and the bayside view but without this, we may not have considered the hotel at all since it is not well maintained inside, you could see pile of dust in certain areas, i.e. that must not have been cleaned for years. I have yet to verify the charges as it seems higher than what we booked for. Sally restaurant in the area had such an attitude, made you wait for long time at the entrance, then a white lady came forward and said this is for breakfast buffet and no other menu offered, then she checked me out from head to toe with a question in her eyes "can you really afford this?", that was not a good start for a morning. Oh by the way, the lady and another white guy saw my mom waiting in her wheelchair at the stairs, yet still offered no accessible way for her to enter the restaurant. We left the restaurant and decided not to tolerate any of these attitude during a short weekend getaway. I also chose not to send a complaint letter to the restaurant’s management or hotel; I don’t want to jeopardize anyone’s job.
- 2/5
Nothing like the pictures. I found a dirty diaper in my room in the cornernear the balconyunder the curtains. They offered to move me to another room, I declined as I had already unpacked. They only discounted the amenities fees. $ 17.00. Old rooms, hair dryer had no power. Wouldn't recommend.
- 1/5
Horrible rooms, smelled like mildew. No bell service. Parking is a joke
- 5/5
The location is amazing beautiful we had room 1063 and it was on the end so we had a little bit of privacyish but there are no barriers between patios and so you do see everybody else but it's unreal gorgeous but if you like privacy and you don't want to sit next to a bunch of people you might not want to go here but we had a great time and it was absolutely wonderful everyone was friendly the beds were super comfortable and you don't even need to drive anywhere cuz you can walk to everything. It is an older Hotel so it's not perfect. But the view is and the location is and it's clean.

The view was ok, We had a view of the ocean but also other rooms and top of a building. Front desk could be a little nicer. Was not very friendly. I didn't say much only because I didn't want to be put in a crappy room. Overall, the location was nice.
- 2/5
The bathroom door didn’t close completely and the cabinets were broken
- 3/5
The room was outdated. We had broken things in the room. Pictures were not the same as in person.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel on multiple times for business trips, and it has definitely become my favorite hotel to stay at in the area. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and if you add the luxury of a waterfront view, the balconies offer beautiful sunset and city scenes. Overall, if the price and timing is right, I will always stay at this hotel.
- 5/5
Great view from our balcony and berry spacious room with a king bed, def recommend
- 4/5
friendly staff. clean rooms and wnderful view
- 2/5
On the upside, location right on the front overlooking the ocean. Takeaway, would not stay at this hotel but would return to San Diego.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
I love everything about the property, but when I arrived, had no idea I had to pay extra fees and paying $50 a night for parking was insane.
- 5/5
The location was also very convenient, with several restaurants and places to eat just a short walk away. It made it easy to explore the area and enjoy different dining options without having to travel far. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a great location.
- 2/5
The parking is way too expensive at $50 and another thirty some dollars for ameneties that I didn't even use! Overall, the hotel is overpriced in every aspect. I will not be returning!

Wouldn’t stay again dirty and outdated

Great room with a sea view. Short walk to the Midway and the Seaport Village. Friendly staff. We used the brilliant airport shuttle to and from San Diego airport, drivers were very friendly. A little dated but room was clean and spacious and ideal for a stop off between flights. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
The location was perfect the staff was friendly
- 4/5
I was very pleased that we got early check in. Very much appreciated! We enjoyed our bay view, however, it was a bit noisy since we were facing the street. If you don't have to get up at 4:30 am for a half marathon, I don't think the noise will be a problem at all. We just had to go to bed really early, and there was a cruise ship directly across the street having the longest and loudest sail away party in history. I think it went on until midnight! BTW if you are on a cruise, I would totally recommend staying here! You could not get any closer! And there is a Starbucks near by. The location is perfect.
- 4/5
The Wyndham San Diego Bayside is very conveniently located and is right across from the bay. The hotel has decent amenities including a pool and fitness center. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room had a fantastic view of the bay and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated and the water fountains weren’t working (marathon weekend!) and there were no charging stations/USB outlets in the rooms or common areas, which would have been nice. Overall, a very good stay and location.
- 4/5
Front desk staff were very helpful. Clean room and the property was well maintained. Only complaint was multiple people selling some sort of timeshare or equivalent in the lobby as we left. It felt tacky and like a scam.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay, friendly service very helpful and knowledgeable.

Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
My room was lovely, clean, bed was comfortable. My only suggestion is that I prefer non carpeted surfaces, perhaps in time that will be updated. I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was consistently helpful in all areas. I would be very happy to return. It's convenient to many things in San Diego.

The views and close proximity to everything is amazing.

- 4/5
Overall was a good hotel with a great view.
- 2/5
I only found this all out because I booked another room Bayfront for 1 more night and was then given the destination card and told about the $50 per night parking fee. That’s $150 parking fee for my 3night stay which is OUTRAGEOUS!!! I ask for the parking fee to be waived but they did not budge. VERY DISATISFIED WITH THE HOTEL’s FRONT DESK STAFFs lack of giving all the essential information upon arrival. Be informed if you stay here.
- 5/5
Had a great stay. I'll definitely come back in the future
- 4/5
House-keeping was a bit hit and miss. Our room was serviced on Day 2, but not on Day 3 - we had to ring and ask for towels. Also the toiletires (shampoo and conditioner) was not refilled and also had to be requested. Staff were quick (within 1 hour) to provide new towels and toiletries when contacted.
- 3/5
The location was great for the area, but it was over rated and needs lots of updates, for the price we paid there was no microwave, the carpets was old and looked like the glue that holds the carpet down was getting unstuck, possible trips hazard. The restrooms out dated, great shower pressure, the lighting was also old and outdated, no complimentary breakfast and again for the price we paid.
- 5/5
The staff really helped
- 3/5
Hotel is a bit outdated. Cleaning could have been better.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 4/5
Nicely located on the bay. Hard for Ubers to follow the map, they were always going to the back.
- 4/5
Great location. Property is older but clean. Some maintenance needed, for example, broken ice machine. Parking is way too expensive for registered guests.
- 5/5
Very accommodating
- 5/5
Just the 50 dollar parking a night charge
- 5/5
You cant beat the location! Lovely to get at least a cup of coffee in the lobby in addition to the coffee maker in the room.
- 4/5
Room is dated, particularly carpet and bathroom.
- 3/5
Check in took surprisingly long for each set of travelers. Almost like a car rental counter. We were placed in the lower, old tower. Our view was a rooftop with hvac pipes and equipment facing the tall tower where guests had a balcony to sit on. We did not. While the room was clean and beds/pillows comfortable, the room itself was dated. The smoke detector was completely missing a faceplate and it wasn't obvious that it was functional. The sink had a long crack in it, the toilet somehow had a slow leak on the floor, the mirror was deteriorating around the edges showing its age. There was a rolled up rubber mat to use for safety. Grippers on a tub floor seems more sanitary. The shower flow was excellent though. While the room was adequate, for the price we paid, I would give the property a 2.5 overall. I have had nicer rooms in a Comfort Inn and similar hotels. The location is, I guess, what we paid for. The airport shuttle was very convenient. Both dinner and a breakfast in the attached restaurant was excellent however, with very friendly staff.

Loved it!! It was so perfectly located for everything we had planned! The restaurants across the street were convenient, the claim jumper attached to the hotel was delicious for a late night meal! It was walking distance to the USS midway museum, the maritime museum, the Coronado ferry port, little Italy, and a big park by the bay. It was so convenient to get up and walk to breakfast and just enjoy the area!
- 5/5
The best in San Diego
- 5/5
It was a lovely stay with the best views!! I would definitely come back with my family.
- 4/5
The property met our needs and was located near Seaport, little Italy, and the Gas Lamp. The property is old and is noticeably older than other nearby resorts. We stayed in tower III and it smelled old and had bubbling carpet. Room amenities were average. We also had mixed results with staff. Some were helpful and some seemed very annoyed. There were also several folks that called themselves concierges and they kept approaching us with various offers that required a tour. I don’t think I would stay here again.
- 3/5
Traveled with family and it was a nice area. The only thing that wasn’t good was the AC it was throwing out hot air so the room was pretty hot.
- 4/5
Pool needed to be clean better.
- 5/5
Staff were so nice & helpful. Great bed & shower. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to San Diego!
- 5/5
This is our go-to hotel when staying in the Little Italy area of San Diego. Nothing beats the bay view, walk-ability of the location and the exceptional service provided by staff.
- 3/5
This was my second stay at this hotel, and the only reason why I stayed here was because the close proximity to the harbor and the event I was supposed to be attending for 2 consecutive days. I was first checked into a room and I noticed the air conditioning wasn't working, and once I complained, they transferred me to another room and since it was already late at night, I did not notice until early morning next day that the plumbing of the second rom also wasn't working. neither the hand sink or the bathtub was draining. Once I called the reception to complain again, I was instead of receiving a comforting response, I got a response from the receptionist saying - what would you like us to do. Then finally they sent a plumber and got that issue resolved, and later I decided to get some ice from the cooler, and noticed the ice machine was also not working I had to go to another floor to get ice. At checkout once I reiterated my whole stay experience I was told the hotel offered me only $50 of credit for the whole headache and time wastage I had to go through. Overall my first stay was pleasant, but this second one. Definitely will be staying somewhere else next time. Although one plus point I would give is the hotel has balcony facing the bay view, which a lot of hotel don't offer, which gives Wyndham a upper hand. The hotel needs through inspection of all rooms, if not am upgrade.
- 5/5
PET friendly Hotel ‘ staff was very nice and walking distance made the vacation fantastic ! The hotel has a grassy area close to the parking garage that is meant for the dogs with supplied doggie poop bags and waste basket , all very close to the elevators . $25 per day for small doggies 2 pets min , still cheaper then what I seen for other hotels .
- 5/5
I did not go to the pool nor ate breakfast
- 1/5
Over charged me and I’m really upset.
- 5/5
Great fitness rooms. Parking fee is a bit too much
- 2/5
Hidden resort charge not told about when upgrading room.
- 4/5
The property was clean. The room was clean with a nice view of the bay.
- 2/5
I called because my safe box was not working, the maintenance guy came, couldn't fix it and stayed like that. Easey check out was the only good thing.
- 5/5
Great place for a family vacation!
- 2/5
The building feels dated, and that shows most in the acoustics. Sound insulation is minimal — street noise carried into the room so clearly it felt like standing at the crosswalk below rather than several floors up. Sleep was difficult as a result. Cleanliness and maintenance were the bigger concerns. The bed sheets had visible tears. The crib we requested for our baby arrived dirty, and we ended up using the travel mattress we'd brought along rather than putting him on it. The carpet hadn't been properly vacuumed — we found Cheetos on the floor when we settled in. The room also carried a musty, slightly moldy smell that didn't dissipate during our stay. In the bathroom, the shower and bathtub drain wasn't working properly, leaving standing water during use. On the positive side, the location is hard to beat for accessing the bay area and downtown, and the views from the upper floors are genuinely impressive. Bottom line: the position is great, but at this price point in San Diego, there are better-maintained options nearby. I'd hesitate to recommend it until the property addresses the basic cleanliness and upkeep issues.
- 1/5
The receptionist told me to deposit fifty dollars and it would be refunded to your account later. When I checked my bank account, I saw that thirty-five dollars had been deducted from my account. I called them and said that it was deducted from my account for the amenities and that it would not be refunded to your account. In fact, they lied to me. Because your fifty dollars would be refunded to your account, while thirty-five dollars had been deducted from my bank account. And that seems like theft to me.
- 3/5
Please be aware that they do not have Queen beds, only double (which I mistaken for 2 queen beds :() , my mistake 🙄 and king beds. Parking is additional $50. Other than that the place is not exceptional but not bad. Staff are nice.

Great location and it seems as if that’s the only positive quality. Hotel has seen beater days. Could is a refresh, beds are not comfortable, AC is loud. The view of the bay is outstanding l.

Okay, let’s get down to business. They have towers, I had no idea but they give directions to each one and the tower and parking were super duper easy to find. If you get tower 3, I swear to all things holy with parking don’t try to turn out of the entrance/exit closest to the booth, take the longer way, it’s so much easier for a turn radius and you’re not backing up and trying to turn to get out. My remote in my room was dead, and I will say, it took me calling the booths about 5-6 times before I finally got an answer but the ginger man (sorry I can’t remember his name) came up and was super sweet. He stayed outside my room and waited till I checked to see if it worked (it was like 10:30 at this point). He was so so sweet and when I couldn’t get it working we traded spots and I held the door so he could come in, and he inspected the remote and my whole TV and got everything working and running for me. I stayed for 3 days & 2 nights, and if I’m going to be honest I never heard nothing about there being a breakfast. There’s plenty of amazing food spots around the area and honestly didn’t even think anything about it until I got back home and realized I had spent money for breakfast lol. Great vibe and very clean overall. Not all rooms have closets or suit case stands, ours had neither, and it was very disappointing as I expected to at leasttt have one or the other with two ppl. Everyone is pretty nice there, but if I had to give an overall rating I’d probably give them a 7/10.
- 5/5
Front desk service is outstanding!! Very knowledgeable and super helpful! Our room was across from the cruise port with a bay view that’s just stunning!

There was no kleenex in the tissue dispenser The elevator smelled less than fresh
- 4/5
Clean room and a beautiful view of the harbor. Plenty of elevators and easy access.
- 5/5
All staff extremely friendly and efficient and helpful. Many interesting areas within walking distance.
- 5/5
Everyone was most friendly, polite and efficient. The heating unit in my room was not functioning, after notifying the front desk, a technician fixed it in a matter of minutes. I am most grateful for the excellent service and most enjoyable and comfortable stay at Wyndham Bayside and look forward to my next stay!
- 5/5
We loved our room and the view. An excellent breakfast place with great coffee and food was steps away. Really good restaurants steps away too. We will absolutely stay here again.
- 4/5
Decent hotel in a good location. Needs some updating. Staff was nice. Parking waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced @ $50/night.
- 2/5
The hotel itself is extremely outdated, our mirror in the bathroom was deformed and looked melted. The towels had several black pieces of long hair on it, the carpets were old, the sliding door to the balcony took everything in you to open it, there wasn’t a single usb outlet anywhere in the room, and door was broken so everytime we left the room we had to literally slam the door with all of energy to close it. Which I’m sure was a nuisance to the people next to us. I would not stay here again. Mainly because of poor maintenance and outdated fixtures. The prices a bit too much considering it’s extremely outdated.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It’s in a great location. Centrally located next to several fun activities.
- 2/5
We checked in around 10/11 am. They said they would text us when the room was ready. That never happened. Instead we went back to the hotel and had to wait in an hour line to be told they didn’t have a room for us at all. The lady had to contact her manager to see if they could even find a room for us. Other guests waiting in line were looking for parking in the city because the hadn’t reserved enough space for them to park even though they had paid for parking. The room had a great view but the actual property was awful.
- 4/5
We loved the view of the bay. It was nice being located in the middle of all the places we wanted to see. We loved seeing the Star of India out our window every morning. Beautiful views.
- 5/5
Its just overall a super place to stay for the location, right opposite the Bay and a very short walk to the Santa Fe tram station. Great on site restaurant for breakfast and evening dinner, bit expensive yet cheaper than other local places. The thing that tops it off for me is that being from the UK the free shuttle is a god send when you have no idea where to go and how to get there. Local bus and trams are easy to get around with your Pronto card. If you are Seniors then get a card and go to the 12th & Imperial station, then right outside is the service centre where you can get it converted into a Senior Pass, don't forget your I.D. :-)
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Our stay had included yoga class in the morning!
- 5/5
Super close to cruise ports. Disney ship picks up right across the street
- 4/5
The hotel charges a destination fee at the end of your stay as a little going away present.

It seems that the owners have the property in a death spiral where they let the property deteriorate while still getting income from the one-and-done guests, cruise ship guests who can walk to the dock, airline staff contracts, the occasional conference, the the unlucky who happen by. Maybe the property is slated to be demolished or maybe their ground lease is expiring or maybe something else is going on that causes the owners not to put money into maintenance and updating. The list of problems is long but here are a few: In the sleeping room, the heating/cooling system would not react to the thermostat. The repair person came to reset it letting me know that it was very old, implied that they had been having multiple problems, and said to let them know when it happens again. The carpet was stained, the drapes were filthy, the chair arms were worn nearly through, the other furniture was old and worn, the shower door was missing a handle, the replacement faucet did not fit the sink. It was so short that you couldn’t fit your hands under the water to wash your hands, and more. The conference room gave me the feel of a dark dungeon, the audio system was very poor, so many of us could not hear the speakers, and the Wi-Fi did not work for the entirety of our conference. I plan to never stay at this property again. Also, about 130 to 150 days per year and I will now look to avoid any Wyndham flag.
- 5/5
We had a great view of the harbor. Had a great room. We loved it! Great eateries so close by. We will be back!
- 3/5
At check in I was told to show my payment receipt to the attendant so I can exit after my cruise ended. There is no attendant - completely automated. Myself and several other people had to go through waiting in line at the check in desk to get a fake room key to get our cars out. Frustrating and easily preventable if you have a human attendant in the lot when ships come in to port.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly. Area was convenient for our trip as it was across the street from the Cruise port.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Pleasant staff and excellent walk-ability to many sights downtown.
- 5/5
Good area
- 5/5
Was taking a cruise on the Disney ship. Wanted Disney to book my hotel but because this was a last minute trip the hotel they suggested was fully booked. Found this hotel a lot cheaper and closer to port. For once being late to the party worked out for me. We just walked out of the hotel with our luggage to the ship.
- 5/5
Claim Jumper also improved their service.
- 5/5
Bayside view was fantastic. It's an easy walk to a cruise ship. We'll stay again.
- 3/5
No
- 4/5
Room was clean but outdated - not all our lights worked and you can tell this is an older hotel. The staff was so nice and accommodating
- 5/5
Property was clean. Location was excellent! Loved being able to walk around and conveniently located to various restaurants!
- 5/5
Property nice but no vending machines and ice machines down
- 5/5
Great stay perfect location walkable to many things
- 5/5
It a good hotel that is walkable across the main attraction.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but there was no hot water. We stayed for 5 nights and had to take a cold shower every day. It was nice to have covered parking, but for $50 a night, the spaces should not have been so tiny. I have a scratch down the left side of my car now.
- 4/5
Excellent location right across from the cruise terminal and three blocks down from the train station.
- 1/5
Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that parking was not included. They charge $50 per night, along with extra fees not clearly shown on their website. While I paid it, this was just the start of the issues. The main problems were with the room (1143) Broken Toilet: The toilet would not flush. While maintenance came to fix it, the toilet made a constant, loud refilling noise for the entire night, which made sleeping impossible. Poor Shower Drainage: The shower did not drain properly, leaving me standing in a puddle of water while showering. We expected a nice anniversary getaway, but this was stressful, uncomfortable and not hygienic at all. The reason I’m writing this is because I don’t want anyone to go through this bad experience. I hope they don’t assign anyone to this room. Thank you, Mrs. Lopez
- 5/5
It was a good stay I will definitely stay again
- 4/5
Hotel is located extremely close to the cruise ship terminal. Makes this a great choice for cruisers.
- 5/5
From reviews i had read, we were concerned about not being able to check in before 4PM. However, we arrived at 12:30pm and were able to get our room immediately. While the facility has some obvious older edges, we found everything clean and well kept. The room was comfortable with a great view of the harbour. Overall we had a great stay!
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly considering it seemed they were short handed
- 4/5
Didnt eat breakfast. Staff was friendly. Bathroom was very dated and light looked likt it hadn't been dusted or cleaned in decades. The view was spectacular! Will stay again prior to crusing
- 3/5
Location was great however the property needs some serious upgrades and I did have an interaction with one of the staff members that was not the best. Had to switch rooms once and the room they gave me had broken bathroom door, electrical sockets had no cover and it was very dusty. There was a man I spoke to in the front desk who told us “good luck all rooms are sold out!”when we called. When I showed pictures they offered me another room but after a day of flying and that original interaction I was too exhausted and honestly upset with how it was handled. The lobby is filled with a lot of the time share sales people that will also press you on questions to join one of their presentations.
- 5/5
Family short vaca had fun enjoyed the spacious room
- 5/5
I interacted with the staff to correct an issue and the staff was very understanding and willing to help. I would stay at this property again.
- 1/5
My guess is that this property could be in a death spiral where it is producing suitable income as is with its “one and done” cruise takers, airline contracts, and the occasional conference in its horrifying dark and depressing meeting rooms that there’s no reason to invest money to maintain it. Maybe their ground lease is up soon. Very disappointing for the Wyndham flag. I will certainly avoid this place and will now look to avoid any Wyndham anywhere.
- 3/5
Rooms are a little dated but okay, the balcony is nice. The parking is ridiculously priced $50 a day. The hotel is three buildings so there are a lot of people around. Water bottle refill machine in our building didn’t work.
- 4/5
Our room was close to a very noisy elevator, other than that it was a great place to stay. Ryan at the front desk is a wonderful asset to your company. We will definitely return to this property
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
For the cost, I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were better maintained. The location was great but I guess that's what your paying for.
- 4/5
the hotel was fine and perfect for it's intended use. Soem of the balconies are "childproofed" by screwing the door closed. I'd like to see a childproof lock system installed that would then allow use of the balcnoy regardless of occupant, but that's just my bulidng inspector showing :-)
- 5/5
Rooms were very nice!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
A microwave in the room would’ve been really convenient
- 4/5
Convenient location for cruise ship and lots of nearby amenities
- 1/5
Washroom floor is sticky. Carpet is dirty
- 4/5
Make microwave available
- 5/5
The staff was really awesome. We had an event to go to at checkout time so they let us checkin a little early which was so nice! The room and view was great. The AC was a little noisy and we were next to an ice machine and elevator so it was a bit nosier than I would have liked, but overall the room was clean, the service was great and we also got free coffee at the coffee cart in the AM which was a nice surprise. Great location. We walked over to the big and topsail for food and walked to Embarcadero which was only 1 mile away. I would definitely stay again. The price was reasonable as well.
- 3/5
There was a poorly finished bathroom (faucet was literally falling apart)! Bedsheets didn’t fit and came off on the first night! Parking was tight and $50 a night! They didn’t clean our room after 3 nights and we had to ask for fresh towels!
- 3/5
They put me in a room right by the elevators which made my stay very loud. The toilet in the room just kept running all day and night adding even more noise. The light in the bathroom was damaged and very dim. The closet is located inside the bathroom (which is odd) and the door just stuck out and would not close properly. But it is very convenient and located next to everything with an amazing view.
- 5/5
Clean room and great view. Staff was very professional and accommodating
- 3/5
Great
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good!
- 5/5
The shuttle service to and from the airport was a huge plus. Shuttle doesn’t run past 11:30 pm
- 2/5
No breakfast options or even coffee, unless you go to a nearby restaurant. Dinner at a deli with homeless people hanging at the outdoor tables next to us. Very expensive for what you receive. Only positives: Good location--walking distance to port, and spacious, clean room.
- 5/5
Great place to stay the night before for those boarding cruise ships at the San Diego Cruise terminal located literally across the street. Very convenient.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Staff was great and accommodating
- 4/5
Staff are very kind and nice. It is located a beautiful place.
- 5/5
Hotel was more then what I expected.. Beautiful view friendly staff .. very clean .. definitely coming back
- 4/5
Reserved a suite and had issues being locked out but all was resolved quickly ( secure the passage doors) Parking was an issue, but this was in part to the hotel being sold out. Valet parking is NOT offered here.
- 4/5
Conveniently located to Little Italy. The room is clean. Having a filtered cold/hot water available is a plus.
- 5/5
All amenities were as expected. The attached but separate restaurant/steakhouse serves breakfast, dinner, drinks. I found the diner a bit expensive. Right opposite is Brigantine Seafood restuarant (again on the expensive side) and property is walkable to USS midway museum. I would recommend this property for staying - it would be better if there were affordable places to dine around.
- 2/5
It took me a while to write this review. I don’t really like to make negative reviews because sometimes people just have a bad day. This particular property has a systemic problem. We checked in at 4pm and requested extra pillows. At 7pm we didn’t have pillows so I sent a text to the chat. Chat told me they were on the way. 8:30 pm still no pillows. Text chat again, received an apology and assurances that they were on the way. 9:30 pm my wife goes to the front desk. We were told again that they were on the way. 10pm I go to the front desk. I tell them I’m not leaving the desk until I receive my pillows. They appeared quickly. I asked what the delay was and we were told by the manager on duty that housekeeping was on lunch…..for 6 hours. I then received a text that a resort charge of $65 was refunded as a courtesy. I never was told I would have a charge and to this day Ive not received a refund. The manager I spoke with took my contact information and assured me that Todd, the GM would reach out to me the next day. You can probably guess how that went. Never received so much as a text message. Like I said, it’s systemic failure. I’m not certain if Todd is a coward or just completely incompetent. I’d like to add that the other negative reviews regarding the sales pressure are accurate. We were stopped each time we walked in the lobby. BUYER BEWARE
- 3/5
The hotel was very worn, spent alot for a bay side view room and that was about the only thing the room had going for it. The beds were not comfortable and bathroom was very worn.
- 5/5
very nice, close to the Pier, quiet, clean, spacious, good dining. Thank you.
- 3/5
Hotel old , doesn t clean my romm
- 4/5
Beautiful view of the bay and it's really nice that you can get meals at Claim Jumpers and change to your room. Really appreciated the airport shuttle.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
Check in was slow as there was just one or two people working the front desk. Hair in bathroom in our room first night (noticed in the am) but housekeeping a good job of cleaning the room.
- 5/5
The stay was just to sleep close to the SAN airport, but we loved the downtown area for dinner! And the Wyndham Hotel was awesome !! So clean and a very comfy bed and pillows !! We will stay again !!
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff were helpful
- 4/5
Staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and had a balcony. We booked the room mostly because we were leaving the next morning on a cruise through the Panama Canal and the Holland America docks right across the street. It’s in a noisy nightclub district and very close to the airport. Until they but better noise reduction windows in…bring earplugs. It’s not a $345 hotel in any way except the address near the airport and cruise line dock
- 5/5
Great rooms & location
- 5/5
Todo estuvo excelente. El personal con el cual interactúanos fue muy amable.
- 5/5
Great location! Was going on a NCL trip and literally just had to walk across the street to embark the ship. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Except for 10$ water bottle in room and 50$ a night for parking or 60$ for valet. Not a fan Will rethink future stays.....
- 5/5
Clean room, nice amenities, great location
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great location as we started our cruise the next day. We were able to tour around little Italy and the gas lamp district easily. And a great dinner down in the water. The shuttle to and from the airport were very handy.
- 3/5
The hotel has a great position in SD. Lovely views but she is tired. Needs a lot of money spent in refurbs
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay!!!
- 5/5
The location was perfect! Close to harbor, dining and shopping. Hotel was clean and spacious, staff friendly and professional. Would definitely stay the again…
- 3/5
Average nice to see the bay
- 4/5
Clean room, and good service! Amazing view as well. The only thing was I ran out of hot water in the last day.
- 5/5
The room was nice and spacious and clean. Beautiful view!
- 4/5
Long check in with only one staff at desk. Room was just okay. Rooms need an update; carpet, sitting chair, mirror in bathroom. Had lots of rain which soaked the carpeting at the sliding door to patio deck. Have allergies to mold and could feel it due to wet carpeting. Wish there had been a microwave in room. First hotel we stayed at that did not have one. Had neighbors who smoked pot on their deck and it permeated into our room although our sliding door was closed. We knew the minute they were out there! The bed was very comfortable and the shower head comforting. The maids were very good attending to our room. Concierge very helpful. Loved we could walk everywhere. Enjoyed the wine social on Friday. A plus for being shuttled back and forth to the airport. Ate a lot at Claim Jumpers due to lots of rain and enjoyed the food. All in all, it was a good stay. Thank you.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel the reception they are very good
- 2/5
Hotel was dated. Hot water took at least 10 minutes from the time you turned on the faucet. The constant sales pitches. It did have a good location but will not stay there again.
- 3/5
The room was good but not excellent. The most surprising thing was that the clothes closet was in the bathroom! Not a convenient place for access easily to your cloths. The bathroom didn’t include any stuff like hair cap, spa stuff, comp, etc. the shower was not splashing well. The staff at the front desk were not much friendly. And the most important thing that this hotel has a hidden fee that they surprise you when you want to check out. For 6 nights stay I paid $220 USD destination fee !!! Unfortunately I didn’t check this matter during my reservation, it’s a lesson learnt for my future trips.
- 5/5
Lovely room, location, location, location, they have the best location. Staff was awesome.
- 2/5
Not only was my room dated I started my day cleaning the shower myself so it was done to a basic standard there was build up and other peoples hair in it. I was there five days and I was absolutely blindsided with over $400 bill of parking when I was not told it would be $50 a day and then an additional $30 fee and another 4 fees. Waiting for them to make that right. Would not stay here unless you have too.
- 3/5
Great location but hotel most certainly needs updating. Beds were good
- 5/5
Amazing view, clean room
- 3/5
The hotel needs updating and seems understaffed
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
The hotel stay was fine. I thought the hotel staff was a bit unfriendly at check-in. We were informed that our room was not ready and that we had been moved to a separate tower due to lack of heat in main tower. When we got to the room, it had a wonderful view but the decor and conditions were dated and the curtain ripped and yellowed. The whole hotel needs to be refreshed. That said, the location was great, later staff interactions were positive and it was fine.
- 3/5
Food was good too. Room was ok. Door to the balcony was a bit hinky. One of the drawers swung open by itself once there were clothes in it and I had to wedge it shut with a bit of paper. Something had dropped down the back of a drawer on the bedside table too, so it didn't close properly. Just minor details, but should be very easy to fix. Biggest issue was the accounts. Had $250 taken as a deposit on check in. This was increased to $286.65 without my being notified to cover meal charges and taxes. An additional $86.65 was also manually charged to my card on the day before I checked out too, allegedly to cover the same thing. I queried the additional charge on check out and had to query it again after I returned home. In the end, it took a full week for it to be cancelled and the funds returned to my account. So check your bill at the end of your stay!
- 5/5
The stay was great the staff has always very courteous and helpful, the room was super clean and the bathroom.
- 4/5
Spotless room. Concierge desk was not marked with any kind of sign, check in desk seemed understaffed.
- 3/5
The checkin was abysmally slow. Only one person at the desk. First I stood in line for a half hour and arrived at checkin time. My room was not ready. I was told they’d text when ready. Nothing for 1 1/2 hours. I texted for an update as the checkin line was extremely long. A half hour later I was texted my room was ready. The line was even longer for people checking in. I was finally in my room 2 hours after checkin. Other than that a pretty good stay but the checkin still lingers as a horrible experience.
- 4/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Perfect location! Very clean and the staff were wonderful! The bay view was gorgeous.
- 5/5
I was early for check in and my room wasn’t quite ready. We completed the check in process and I went off to lunch expecting the room to be ready in half an hour. It was ready when I went to the room. The counter person saved me from a later check in when the desk was busy! Thanks for making it work! Room was great!!
- 4/5
Very good, the location is very convenient, everything is very close!
- 4/5
nice staff
- 1/5
Not a good room especially for the price. The bahia is the same price for refrence.
- 5/5
Yes
- 2/5
I am sure they can charge what they charge for the hotel rate based on their location, but they should seriously consider putting some capital into the facility OR at the very least updating their website pictures to reflect modern day reality of the conditions. We will NOT being staying at a Wyndham property in the future.
- 5/5
Room Was Clean And Comfortable. Room View Was Amazing 👏
- 3/5
The annoyance was the lines, 40 minutes to check in. At check out we wanted to store our bags and explore the bay front, but there was another to do that so we just left.
- 4/5
Convenient to cruise port
- 4/5
Claim Jumper restaurant waiters Joel and Eli particularly good in spite of being extremely busy.
- 5/5

Clean room, great and convenient location, house keeping service. Walkable distance to downtown.

Always clean and the staff is always pleasant!

Clean room, quiet except for the airport nearby. But super location right across from the cruise port.

They had a free happy hour with snacks in the lobby. There is an airport shuttle and they are literally across the street from the cruise port. I have been staying at this locstion since 2009. They have an airport shuttle. They are

We arrived around 10 AM from a cruise expecting to just drop our luggage but were able to check-in. The hotel was very handy to the port, there was a beautiful view of the habor and was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful
- 5/5
This hotel is at a perfect location close to everything. Everyone is so nice and helpful.
- 4/5
The bed was horrible
- 5/5
No issues at all...as advertised.
- 5/5
Great view! Close to the boardwalk!
- 4/5
Beautiful view. Great location for me. Comfortable bed.
- 2/5
They gave me a room where my balcony was not accessible, but they did not tell me that when I was checking in. It apparently was a child safety room, but they should have said that. I never requested for a room like that. Shower drain was clogged and water was pooling. They cleared it upon request. Staff cleaned my room when I told them not to.
- 5/5
Love the view to the bay. Room was clean and location had a lot of great restaurant options
- 3/5
Staff was courteous and professional. The hotel is old and in disrepair. Carpet was threadbare in our second room. The air conditioning in the first room we were in was not working and we had to repack and move to tower 3. Location is great but the rooms are not worth $229/night we paid. Hotel needs a total makeover. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Great place. Would stay here 100 times
- 2/5
Room and in general like old and a lot of details on the walls and floor. No bottles of water at the room. They gave me the handicap room and always the bathroom is less nicer. For more than $250 it was way too expensive.
- 4/5
everything i needed for my handicap mother
- 5/5
Nice view of the bay. Clean. Very convenient for seminar right in the hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
50$ Parking and 34$ Destination fee too much hidden fees
- 5/5
We always stay at Wyndham and it has never disappointed us.
- 4/5
It was a nice older hotel. Seemed to be in good shape and clean. Positives were the airport shuttle and on site restaurant. Close to cruise port which is great. Heat didn't work in the room but they got it working. Took 2 complaints to do it tho. Negatives are the beds. Our room had long doubles instead of queens. Double beds have no business in a hotel room anymore. Our cc has a $20 charge that we don't know what it is for. We are waiting to see if it drops off. If it doesn't we will need to find out what it is for.
- 4/5
Good value!
- 3/5
The property is older, and some areas—particularly the carpets—could benefit from refreshing. My initial room had a musty smell and some rooftop equipment noise, but the staff was attentive and gracious, helping to freshen the room and later moving me to a quieter floor, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant birthday stay with lovely views and thoughtful service, and with some updates, this hotel has the potential to be even better.
- 3/5
Room was fine. Check in was horrible tried 3 times in line 30 plus minutes each until able to check in, only 1 -2 check in staff, when flight crews show up the staff moves to check them in frist. Hotel shuttle does not run when needed by guest they only run during certain hotel set times
- 5/5
Nice view and good location!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Everything was great!!!
- 4/5
Most of the staff was amazing. Checking in was less than stellar, whereas all other communication with the front desk was excellent.
- 5/5
Our flight was canceled and we needed a room early in the day and Wyndham accommodated us. Great stay.
- 5/5
The whole experience was great. Early room access they were able to upgrade us to a higher floor w a balcony bay view. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Staff and room was great. Good location for walking to many attractions.
- 5/5
Staff was courtious
- 5/5
Staff, restaurant, room with great view.
- 5/5
Best service at Front Desk. Very professional.
- 4/5
Needs an upgrade for sure. Looking a bit tired. Staff was great! Carpet was dirty but they cleaned it quickly. No breakfast included but great location
- 5/5
Dom at concierge ( or information desk) was very nice and kind, he gave restaurant information, etc.
- 5/5
I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Recommend 1000%, great location, great view, nice, clean and courteous. Restaurant access to the lobby, mech store and coffee.

Clean room
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room, great location.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay!
- 3/5
Balcony’s but small rooms and older facilities. Good central location on the bay
- 4/5
Great location clean and friendly. They should have luggage carts avail or a porter system for getting luggage to the rooms
- 2/5
Dirty and needs maintenance. Found underwear on the floor from another guests and shower didn't drain. Furniture is dingy and need to be cleaned or replaced. Charges additional daily service fee of $30/day that get you only 1 small cup of coffee/day. Booked it for the location to my meetings. Beds are confortable so that was the extra star. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 3/5
Room was clean but elevators were dingy and the wood on the flooring was peeling. They tried to charge me $50 for Parking but my Expedia invite told me it was $30 and then they acted like they were doing me a favor by charging me $30 I will need to go check the final bill, could have been more understanding and recognize that I already paid the resort fee and was told parking is $30 showed it to him and he honored it. $50 a day for parking is ridiculous for this level of accommodations it’s def not the Ritz Carlton so I wasn’t expecting anything much for $150 a night but when you try to rip me off for parking and you can’t even have decent flooring in the elevator the wood is all chipped and rotting. Makes me wonder where that extra $20 parking money goes. This hotel owner should walk through his own hotel to see the level of customer service from the check in staff they need some hospitality training, I wanted to compliment the lady that does the coffee in the morning she was great! Very friendly and had a smile everyday quite refreshing talking with her vs the others. The timeshare salesman give you a coupon for an appetizer but make sure not to attend their free breakfast it’s a scam we knew that but for those who easily fall for timeshare scammers might want to keep walking. The cleaning crew was awesome. No complaints there. Clean rooms. Balcony overlooks the AC units but location is great for gas lamp
- 5/5
We loved our stay. Room is nice and clean. Smooth checked in and friendly. Just walked cross the street to the port. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Room was clean, heavily used. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
It’s all about the view on bayside. We go to this hotel every year and enjoy sitting on the balcony watching the boats and ships and the airplanes taking off from the airport. Always nice and clean the staff is pleasant and very helpful. Love the Wyndham!
- 3/5
In addition, the coasters for the water are completely misleading. You have to turn on the light to see there is a price and they're not complimentary. You can do better, Wyndham.
- 4/5
Front desk very helpful. Room lacked working coffee maker, no hair dryer & no body wash in shower.
- 4/5
Our original room wasn't ready the first night, but was the second night. Staff was very courteous and everyone was friendly.

Clean hotel location was a 10 walkable to many places or short uber ride to every thing and had a beautiful view of the bay

No breakfast bar.

Room was clean and hotel in a great location close to the port. Closet in the bathroom which was a bit weird. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Safe and convenient to the port for cruise ships
- 3/5
Room was clean but the furnishings are tired and the bathroom need an over haul.
- 5/5
Staff super friendly and helpful
- 1/5
When we finally entered the room, it was not cleaned at all. The beds were not made, and there were dirty towels left on the bathroom floor, which was unacceptable and very disappointing after such a long wait. We had to return to the front desk with all of our luggage to request a different room, causing additional inconvenience and frustration. Overall, this experience fell well below expectations in terms of cleanliness and service.

Great location, wonderful view. Clean hotel

Food at bar was good

Clean and quiet. Loved the airport shuttle.

When we returned late that night, we realized the drawers in the room didn’t close properly, and even worse, the air conditioning and heater did not work at all. The room was freezing, and we had no way to adjust the temperature, which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Throughout the stay, we were never provided with fresh towels, and on top of everything else, parking cost $50 per day, which felt unreasonable given the overall quality of the experience. Overall, the room conditions, lack of basic amenities, long check-in delay, and additional costs made this a very poor stay. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was great, this will be my go hotel when I visit San Diego.
- 4/5
The curtians were torn and the cover o. The bed had a hole in It. Small things that ca. Be overlooked. The view from the room was outstanding.
- 4/5
The room was clean, staff friendly
- 4/5
Courteous staff. The hotel is dated and needs some work. Our bathroom shower had some mold or mildew so it could use a deep cleaning. Also the shower head was loose. Overall it was a good experience and convenient for getting on cruise ships at the port.
- 5/5
Great place to stay right near downtown or dining around the area. Uss midway is walking distance.
- 5/5
Wonderful room. Staff were extremely polite and professional. Very enjoyable.

Todo bien solo que no me regresaron el dinero del depósito. Duro 3 días en hacerse visible en mi cuenta de banco y solo dijeron que no sabían. No me dieron motivo por el cual no me regresaron el dinero del depósito.
- 5/5
Check in was great. Staff really first rate. Everyone helpful and room is clean and nice.
- 5/5
Celia was excellent at explaining where our room and parking was
- 4/5
Nice location. Airport shuttle was convenient.
- 4/5
Great location and price.
- 2/5
The room was soooooo small for 2 adults and a young adult. The heat was broken and was freezing in our room. The towels were hard and scratchy! The view was only ok , one more there were 2 cruise ships that pulled in and blocked everything. Plus the hordes of people at the front of the building made getting out and around miserable.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was perfect. I was charged for a resort fee, but the fitness center was miserable and the pool too cold to use. The Claim Jumper service and food was excellent.
- 5/5
Every one was very helpful. Room was amazing

Rooms clean. Staff at front desk friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Very helpful and friendly staff
- 3/5
Did not eat there. Bldg seemed very thin. Could hear the outdoors
- 3/5
No continental breakfast, and 10% off at claim jumpers is pretty meh. I also didn't care for the time share sales pitch, or the scam water in the room that costs $7 a bottle (yes there is a sign - but its easy to miss when most water in hotel rooms is complimentary).

We booked three rooms prior to going on a Norwegian Cruise. The hotel was an excellent location, clean, friendly staff & nice size rooms. The bathroom with the barn style door is a bit awkward with sharing room with another couple. Has a nice game room for family activities (corn hole, pingpong, ect). Nice outdoor pool area and a block from a nice park. Walk across street to cruise terminal. The Hazelwood deli is great for food, large portion & reasonable. We took a taxi from airport because of late arrival time it was $28. Easy walk along ocean front to shopping or ferry. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Wyndham Bayside. Some areas of the hotel are a little outdated, but the hotel is clean. Check in was easy and we had a great view of the city from room on the 7th floor. Plenty of space in our room for 4 adults. The bathroom door is frosted, which can throw some people off when using the bathroom. We had coffee and tea available in our room. They also give you 2 free coffees from their express breakfast station located by the elevators of tower 2. The express breakfast station does have a varitey of items to choose for purchase. Example, speciality coffee, cereal, muffins, cookies, granola bars, etc.. You will also receive a discount on your meal if you choose to eat at the attached restaurant. We ate at the attached restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both meals were delicious. The hotel is within walking distance to the cruise port if you are looking to take a cruise out of San Diego. We were able to use the airport shuttle on our return from our cruise since we stayed at the hotel before we cruised. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes on the hour and 1/2 hour. There is a nice board walk across the street from the hotel to walk and enjoy the sights. We also took an uber to the San Diego Zoo during our stay since the hotel offers a discount on tickets if you purchase them at the hotel desk before you go.
- 5/5
Courteous staff. Great location.
- 3/5
Beds were small, no breakfast included... i didn't even see where i could buy breakfast
- 2/5
Its unfortunate because the location is great but because of the bad service and the property was not in good condition, even though they charged premium prices for the rooms, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone else.
- 5/5
Great location for cruise ship access
- 5/5
Perfect location for leaving on a cruise!
- 4/5
Check in was quick and smooth. Room was as requested
- 2/5
Rooms were outdated for the price. Our room literally heard people from every direction throughout the entire night. Didn’t have access to WiFi
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful. We like the location and having Claim Jumper onsite and Ruth’s Chris next door is the best.
- 5/5
All staff are nice and very accommodating
- 2/5
The next morning we called and informed them the bathroom was still not fixed. The woman at the front desk was very nice and gave us a new room. Once in that room, we were barely able to use the patio area due to the couple next to us constantly Smoking weed on their patio whenever they were outside. I was comped $50 for my stay, however me and my girlfriend will not be staying there again.
- 4/5
Clean, large room with great view and location.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly, Breakfast at Claim Jumper’s is very good as is Hazelwood’s
- 2/5
The room condition was horrible, the curtains all broken, the bathroom door wasn’t working correctly. They didn’t clean my rooms for almost 4 days . The hotel looks old and dusty . When we arrived, they assigned to my daughters a room full of bottles with chemicals and it had a very strong smell as if it were the storage then they changed them to one that was full of dust and you could tell that they didn't open it for a long time.
- 5/5
Our Hotel view was great.
- 5/5
We love this hotel and stay here every time we are in San Diego. Staff is super nice, rooms are clean and the location is perfect across from the water. Will definitely recommend!

No valet parking
- 5/5
The tower room was excellent with bay views and comfortable amenities.
- 5/5
Room assigned was the type I booked! King bed bay view. Bed was very nice.
- 2/5
Overall poor experience. Waited 45 minutes at airport for shuttle after calling twice (hotel is 5 minutes away). Waitress at attached restaurant was rude, neglectful. Shower pipe was broken in wall - gushing water behind wall. Clearly had been broken for some time.

Room was average, bathroom was quite small. Staff was cou
- 5/5
It was the perfect hotel if you’re headed out on a cruise. Just walk across the street to the terminal. The hotel was great, friendly staff and the restaurant was very convenient.
- 3/5
Our sink smelled like eggs so our restroom was stinky
- 4/5
Loved the size of the room
- 5/5
Excellent Location. Lots to see and do right on the boardwalk with a very short walk across the street to cruise terminal
- 5/5
No complaints
- 4/5
Nice clean room, excellent location to the Cruise ship port.
- 5/5
All excellent
- 1/5
The breakfast $60 for two was a joke
- 5/5
The room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a high floor looking out to the bay with a small balcony. It was refreshing to open the balcony door in the morning and step outside to see the bay and the ships.
- 5/5
Fantastic location for catching a cruise. Right across the street!!! Great views as well!
- 5/5
Great stay. Right next to water front. A short walk up hill to the main bars and restaurants. Would stay here again when visiting Sand Diego.
- 5/5
One downside was the $50 charge for parking.
- 3/5
The rooms were small and the beds were VERY small. A little wider than a twin but smaller than a full size bed. Husband and I barely fit in one. Slept very uncomfortably, thankfully it was only one night. It definitely needs an upgrade, the hotel looks and feels old. I was also disappointed that I was charged a $25 “visitor’s fee”, what the heck is this??? Have stayed in hotels in San Diego many times and had NEVER been charged that fee. Also, they did not tell me about it when I checked it, it just slid into the bill. I dont think I will stay here again.

At first I wasn't given the room I booked, I booked a balcony with chairs to the table. Overlooking the seaport they gave me a room with no sitting on the balcony and looking at another building instead of the seaport, I went down and said, I wanted it changed, and they gave me a balcony room. But I was still looking at an ugly building instead of harbor.

Clean room- was able to check in early for a small fee
- 3/5
The grout on the tile floor was black in many places. They actually used black duct tape to hold the carpet down in the entrance to the bathroom. Hot water was pretty hard to come by and the ceiling paint was pealing on may locations.
- 3/5
Shuttle was good
- 4/5
Only drawback was the restaurant service, very slow, not enough staff. Otherwise, considering it was the Thanksgiving weekend. iour stay was good.

- 5/5
airport shuttle an excellent value. easy access to cruise port
- 4/5
We showed up more than an hour before check-in and they were kind enough to accommodate us. That was something that made me very grateful. We had been driving all day and the freeway was shutdown do to a crises. We actually were trying to find a reason to return to the doubletree in Del Mar. It was such a pleasant experience.
- 5/5
Very convient location, across street. Excellent happy hour at the seafood restaurant, Brigantine across the street. 10 massive shrimp and craft beer, all $7.00 .
- 4/5
This hotel is an awesome location for a pre-cruise stay! The ships are right across the street! Hotel is in good condition, nice and clean, and the staff were great. The bar and grill restaurant had some of the best pub food I've ever had! The property is ready for an update, but overall it was very good.

- 4/5
Love the coffee place right across the road.
- 3/5
The room was nice enough. Comfy bed. Biggest issue was the fact that it took about 5 actual minutes for the shower to get hot
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay overnight before catching an early morning shuttle (free) to the airport. I'll stay here again!
- 4/5
Nice area
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious and well kept. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Favorite part of staying here is the location. Fantastic bay view, great parking and easy to get in and out of it. It’s walking distance to little Italy and to the Metro if you wish to leave your car and visit Old Town.
- 5/5
Always an amazing stay
- 4/5
Staff was great, we evn got to check in hours early. Sheets are a little worn out and the shower drained really slow. Great location and views.
- 3/5
Hotel is dated & could use an upgrade...beds were uncomfortable & carpet seemed dirty.
- 5/5
The absolute best place to stay in relationship to the cruise ship terminal ! And an easy short wyndham shuttle from the airport . Great .
- 5/5
It was a great ocean view!
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and made our stay a wonderful one. We will be back next time we are in San Diego!
- 5/5
The front desk clerk Naomi was so courteous and helpful in securing my wife and I a room with a slight view of the bay. Excellent employee. Please commend her! Kudos to her! Our room was immaculate. The other employee I like to commend would be Ernest the shuttle driver, so helpful and courteous with a great smile!

The staff had 100s of people checking in. They were kind and efficient . Goodnees they did a grest job. Room was very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Reserved the room because of the free shuttle from the airport and the fact it was 2 blocks from the cruise port. They gave us an early check in which was much appreciated as we had an overnight flight to San Diego. The staff was great, room was wonderful.. very clean, comfortable, well furnished and quiet. We are only a few miles from the San Diego airport. They had a great restaurant right on property. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
- 5/5
I like to stay here when I’m going on a cruise.
- 4/5
Nos asignaron al principio una habitación que estaba al parecer ocupada o sucia. Bajamos a hacer el cambio y nos asignaron una nueva habitación. El techo de esa habitación estaba desgastado. El staff muy amable .
- 3/5
TODO BIEN CON LAS INSTALACIONES YA SON ANTIGUAS, PERO MUY EN BUEN ESTADO, EL PERSONAL DEL LOBBY MUY BIEN Y AMABLE, SOLO UN DETALLE, POR ERROR Y POR SALIR DE PRISA DEJE UNOS CROCS NUEVOS, Y CUANDO HABLE PARA COMENTARLES QUE LOS HABIA DEJADO, ME DIJIERON QUE NO HABIA NADA, EN FIN
- 5/5
Great hotel but unfortunately we were kept awake all night with the smoke alarm beeping.
- 5/5
Concierge and front desk staff marvellous, so helpful / convenient location to everything!
- 4/5
Help with luggage staff coming and going was excellent. Airport shuttle was important and professional.
- 4/5
Nice staff, good amenities, a bonus that a free airport shuttle was included. One thing i did not appreciate was being approached by the sales rep in the lobby about a timeshare.
- 3/5
None of the 3 rooms we stayed in had hot water. The staff was excellent. Hotel was in a great location.
- 4/5
Room was nice. Free coffee was nice but a bit inconvenient to actually get it. Gym was too small.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Although the resturant left a lot to be desired. No staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, easy check in
- 4/5
Good location.
- 5/5
Staff at check in were very welcoming. Our room was in a separate building but it is clean and comfortable- just one night but we would be back. Perfect location for going on a cruise
- 5/5
Airport shuttle very easy to locate and much appreciated. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Had dinner at Clam Digger and it was delicious. There were 9 of us and the waitress was wonderful!
- 2/5
Unhappy with no internet/streaming for tv. Also, headboard was dusty and had splatters on it.
- 5/5
Shuttle was easy. Great access to cruise port.
- 4/5
Very nice, clean hotel. Excellent restaurants across the street. Negatives were the ice machine did not work, no free breakfast, no microwave in room, and $50/night to park.
- 5/5
Staff, cleanliness, and room outstanding
- 4/5
We paid for early check-in and it was worth it. Posted check-in posted 4:00pm.
- 5/5
Amazing bay view. Everything is near by. Very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The check-in process and staff were wonderful! The location for a cruise port was fantastic, too. Thanks for the airport shuttle ride. 😁🛳️
- 4/5

- 4/5
This place is very convenient when you are going on a cruise. The terminal is literally across the street. I chose it for that reason and for the airport shuttle. The only problem was when I stayed for a night after the cruise, I was told that the shuttle didn't operate early enough for my 6:15 flight. So I would have to take an Uber. So on the last night it was not worth the price I paid. Yes it was clean and the staff was helpful enough but there was nothing outstanding to warrant the price. Only the location. I would choose another place for the return date next time.

Airport shuttle was great. There was no breakfast so I’m not sure why you’re asking about it. Room was nice and staff were great. We expected we’d of had a microwave in our room. Will not stay this long again because of no breakfast or microwave.
