Stay away from here! Too dangerous. Never experienced anything like this before. The inn was surrounded with wanderers and trespassers shouting and fighting. The building/parking lot was dark with no valid lights. The office was closed, lights off, and vacant to the point that we did not attempt to get out of the car for check-in. Broken glasses in the parking lots and the roads surrounding. Safer to sleep on the streets by Ghirardelli Square.

The wild west of hotels.

The property was dirty, I was very unhappy. I will never stay there again,

Sucio Inseguro No se queden
- 1/5
This was rubbish! When we checked-in and paid, we were given a room that smelled like somebody died there! The air was full of smoke, marihuana and alcohol, it was toxic! We turned out immediately and went somewhere else!
- 1/5
Our blankets are full of cigarette holes. Room smells heavily of cigarette. Heater/ac doesnt work at all therefore there was no ventilation. at the same time opening the windows doesnt make sense as outside smells like trash. worst hotel I have ever been. The person that check as i was rude.
- 1/5
Literally anything wrong with a hotel, this place has it. I only stayed because it was very cheap and offered free parking, so you get what you pay for. Cleanliness and safety were the biggest issues. I would not stay here again.
- 1/5
scariest and most uncomfortable place I've been to. left immediately.
- 1/5
The hotel is smell so bad, no fire alarm or hazzard, no coursty on the guest at all no towell, no air condition trying to give it to me but I decline the place is like hell u can’t even lock the door so the worker there just come in to me door without permission and the old lady see me naked. They don’t answer their phone trying to call them from the room with the landline and I used my cell to call the office on the same time but no answer, it means if anything happen to you in the hotel they don’t care or is not liability to them, like you’re on your own risk.
- 1/5
Can’t walk to or from car without being propositioned from a prostitute or drug dealer. Dirty rooms no toilet seat ductape converting holes in the wall also bullet holes in the walls. The clerk or hotel manager was extremely rude. Wanted to put me in a room with no key card and told me I would need to ask the front desk every time I needed in the room. Changed to another room and only had 1 key card. Never coming back
- 1/5
Check in time is at 3PM, not at 2 PM.
- 1/5
There is nothing to like! Dirty, loud, drug users, prostitutes, no parking, terrible service, key didn't work daily, did have a king available which is what I booked for, house keeping didn't want to wash pillows, staff was almost never in office.
- 3/5

Bed
- 1/5
extremely dangerous place, it has all the signs of break-in, the furniture is all smoked from cigarettes and the smell in the room is unbearable. this hotel looks like a drug shelter with no rules. the pillows have no pillowcase, sheets were never washed, covered with holes everywhere made by cigarettes. the bathroom was dirty and the shower didn't stop dripping. the air conditioner does not work nor the heater. the broken windows with plywood to cover up, impossible to lie down on a bed that looks like it's never been cleaned. there are cockroaches!!!! it's definitely the worst place I've ever seen. unfortunately it has nothing to do with the photos on the site. flee. this hotel is a deception does not look like the photos!

downtown sf… need i say more
- 1/5
Poor room temperature control
- 2/5
There was parking. No tv, no AC, needle in my room
- 1/5
First, when we arrived the gentleman at the front desk notified us that unfortunately most rooms did not have functioning key card readers; therefore we would not be receiving a key card. He told us that he would be opening the door for us with a master key every time we wanted to get back into the room. The lock on the room door was broken so we had to literally wedge a chair against the door handle for security. The room was dirty, the sheets all had cigarette burns, the shower head did not work and we had to bathe with a cup using the water from the lower faucet. The hallways and staircases all smelled of urine, the elevators were only for show since they were non operational. The roof in the shower was falling apart due to a leak they had. This is the worst experience in a hotel in my entire life.
- 2/5
The 2nd room was ok dirty and no TV.
- 1/5
Not up to code nothing works homeless stayed here for the last year.
- 1/5
There was urine in bottles and all over the staircase. My bedding was torn and didn’t look properly cleaned. Terrible customer service as well I left and slept in my car.
- 2/5
There is nothing positive about this Inn , very dirty, noisy , and unsafe, you get this impression the moment you check in. They check you in from behind a bullet proof window during the day time. Homeless people are camping around the property. At night there is nocking at your door by those who are drunk or what ever.... it was a big mistake to stay there.
- 1/5
Absolutely disgusting
- 1/5
This hotel needs to be shut down!! They really need to be inspected. They have terrible customer service. No one picks up the phone. They are not even at the receptionist desk so if you need your key to be renewed, which is every time, good luck as they are in their rooms chilling and smoking! What a dump this place was. I’m being shocked and the price is too high for such filth!
- 1/5
Not clean, very noisy, no pride in cleaniness.
- 3/5
The worker at the front desk was very rude as well as gave me a hard time when It came to booking my room
- 1/5
I knew what I was getting into and the
- 3/5
This entire building needs a renovation n major cleanup . It smelled like urine at some areas of the patio .
- 1/5
The area was unbelievably unsafe. None of this was mentioned in the website or on Expedia. Awful experience. We had a random hooker try to enter the room when we were checking it out.
- 1/5
Night time too much noise . Too much Druggie people. So I never ever go again
- 1/5
I was on my vacations with my four friends, we all women, when we arrived we saw that the neighborhood was unsafe and full of homeless, but when we took the key to go in the room we knew we wouldn’t be able to stay there, that smelled like a cigarette and the room was too dirty, the floor and the beds. We usually try to choose something cheap but it doesn’t worth it if we feel in danger.
- 1/5
Everything was horrible, broken windows no TV, smells, EVERYTHING bad
- 3/5
Not a problem
- 1/5
Hotel clerks were very rude and extremely inpatient. Rooms were dirty; which the clerk warned us about. The hotel is in very rough area and surrounded by a lot of homeless. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. People with their attitudes do not deserve paying customers.
- 1/5
I tried to changed my day to another day.
- 4/5
Very good service from the staff but the room wasnt too clean,in special the bathroom
- 1/5
DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL!!! There were 3 people (most likely homeless/drug addicts) standing near my car for about 15mins waiting for me to leave my car. I called the hotel to ask for help, no one picked up but there were people at the reception. It was at night so I did not leave my car. I had to book another hotel. Scariest experience ever.
- 2/5
A lot of drug addicts and prostitution
- 1/5
Upon entry the clerk warned us about the safety of the area. We thought that was sweet he was looking out of us (my partner and I) but we didn’t realize how much weight that warning carried. When we got in the room the first thing I saw was the smoke alarm ripped out of the wall. The rooms smell made that obvious as well. The entire room was covered in cigarette burns. The sheets the blankets all the furniture the walls, everything. The window was boarded up on one side the other side not having a mesh screen, so when I opened the window to air out the room it was easy for anyone to stick their heads in the room. Which promptly happened. A man came up to our window and offered drugs. Some room service. There was roaches on the floor that made their way into my bags. The shower leaked. The lights barely worked. The air conditioning was broken. And the outlets were so unstable I couldn’t even put my phone charger in it. There was pools of piss on every level of the staircase. And people wandering the balcony’s infront of rooms likely looking to score. We put our stuff down in the room tried to relax but the ventilation in the room was so horrid I became quickly lightheaded and needed to leave to get some food and fresh air. Coming back to the room we decided we couldn’t stay there for one more minute packed all our bags and made a running one trip back to our cars and promptly escaped that horrible place. Never coming back . In the future I will take a 2 star rating to heart.
- 1/5
I cancel my stay because the room was filthy and the hotel is a trash hole
- 1/5
Area was surrounded by homeless people, drug addicts, smelt like urine. The hotel itself was pretty awful as well. It smelt musty.
- 1/5
Just I can say to everyone please don't west your Money here they show very clean and nice room's in Picture unfortunately room is nice only in Pic that's it.
- 3/5
The location was very good for the purposes of my visit. Unfortunately there was a lot of outside noise. The bathroom was excellent, very clean, great water pressure, actually looked like a recent remodel. The bedroom carpet was worn and appeared dirty. It was a cold night and the heater didn’t work. The bed was soft and comfortable but the bedding was very worn and the cover needed to be washed. All in all I was pleased with the property considering the reasonable rates especially for San Francisco. Will probably stay there again.
- 2/5
The accommodations were fine, like I said, I was getting what I paid for but the unsanitary factor is really not okay.
- 1/5
The Room doesn’t even deserve $10 per night, the Mattress, the pillows, the sheets… everything was dirty and not been washed for a long time ago, I was trying to find something positive but honestly my experience was terrible.
- 2/5
Great that it has parking, albeit fairly sketchy. Rooms smell awful. Bed covers are old and scratchy.
- 1/5
Nothing
- 1/5
We did not stay. The hotel should be.close. no toilet seat
- 4/5
Not the best place to stay there are better deals in san francisco..
- 1/5
Not family friendly! We got San Francisco around 11:00 pm at night, it took around 20 mins to get to the hotel. When we got there they showed us the room before they checked us in to see if we wanted to stay there. I was really confused, as I checked the pictures on the website and was pleased with the room. They looked alright. The room had an awful smell, there was holes in the wall, the comforter had cigarette burns. Let’s not forget the bed, it was on the floor. I did not make it to the bathroom I was disappointed. On the hallways we could see needles and clothes. This was a horrible experience, I had never encountered anything like it. We had to find another hotel to stay. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re traveling with family or alone. The staff was very helpful as they were trying to help us look for a hotel with available rooms.
- 1/5
We arrived to an area where active drug dealings were happening and what looked like other illegal activities. ..other people in the building looked to be under the influence...and one person advised us to leave as this is "not a good place for us". when asked about a refund, as it felt unsafe to stay, I was asked to call Expedia... i choose to leave without delay as I felt our wellbeing was endangered. Nothing in this location was how it was represented on Expedia. I am highly disappointed and would like to warn you not to book this place.
- 1/5
Pictures of the place did not look nothing what was on Expedia. The room was missing a smoke detector with wires sticking out of the wall. The blankets were stained and had a cigarette burn through it. The air conditioning unit was broken. There was a homeless person apparently sleeping by the stairs and left their belongings.
- 1/5
It is not a nice looking property located in a horrible neighborhood. I am still waiting on a refund. I could not even go in the room. Should not be part of expedia
- 1/5
I did not stay here. I am attempting to reach EXPEDIA for a refund as this place is a scam. Not inhabitable, cockroaches, stained-ripped and tears in the bedding, holes in the walls, no working sink or shower, dirty everything, would you like to hear someone overdose in the room next door? That will happen here. Would you like no real window? Sheet of plywood will do apparently. Let’s not forget the bed bugs, drug deals, and all and all that this place, well it is a scam. Left immediately and am fighting for a refund. I repeat-this is a scam. EXPEDIA! Please answer a phone call/manage online options so I can actually get help. Your customer service is making me think you’re a scam too. I know the area, I was not deterred by the homeless and poverty but the actual hotel is not somewhere anyone should step foot into. Again, EXPEDIA, please do the right thing.
- 1/5
I arrived and got my keys and went to the room for less than a minute because it is not livable !!! Be AWARE ! The pics you see in expedia are not what you will see when u get at the place!!! Im not pretentious but WASNT able to stay there ( nobody should) and had to RUSH to GET ANOTHER HOTEL on the spot, and in a long weekend which was not easy. I went right away to.the lobby ( which is just an outside window) and asked for a refund but the "front desk" employee told me they couldnt refund me, that Expedia had to do it. Immediately I connected by chat with exlpedia , and didnt get any answers on the chat. So I tried to call by phone, but received a message that was a 3 HOUR WAIT ! I stayed in the line in speaker to RECOVER my MONEY, only to get cut off when finally someone came to answer. My wife tried for other 2 hours on the chat and NOTHING ! EXPEDIA didnt respond and the hotel neither, so i was charged in FULL for something I DIDNT USE due to.their unaccurate description. I felt the hotel stole my money with FAKE advertising. I EXPECT EXPEDIA to solve this issue otherwise ill try to do it with my bank . IT is NOT FAIR .!!!!! Not mentioning that I had an UNEXPECTED EXTRA HOTEL EXPENSE because I had to pay HIGH last minute 4th of July weekend prices in San Francisco. I have Receipts. A Long planned trip almost ruined . With all this hotel nightmare I barely made my Oakland A's Game I spent over $400 (and missed the first 2 innings) BE AWARE
- 1/5
Horrible hotel, homeless everywhere, drug addicts all over, the curtains looked like they were about 100 years old, the A/C unit did not work, cracked sink, scuff marks on the walls, small TV, the bath tub was dirty, the outlets had the plate missing, front desk staff was never around, dirty towels In the room.
- 1/5
I think the pictures speak for themselves. This is not what it looks like when you book on the website. And it is located in the worst neighborhood of San Francisco. It is a motel for homeless people. No fire alarm has in case of emergency.
- 1/5
When we arrived we could not even get off the car, it was full of homeless people and they made an assault attempt on us, we were able to escape and we did not return, thus losing the reservation, that hotel should be closed.
- 1/5
Property was not as advertised. Parking was not safe, no security. Prostitutes and drug dealers hanging out in stairwells and parking lot. Swarm of gnats and flys in hallways outside room doors. Some rooms had windows broken out, and boarded up with wood. A/C is broken in all rooms. Walls are filthy and full of dirty hand prints. Carpets are moldy and sticky. Bed comforter is full of burn holes. Wifi does not teach the 2nd and third floors.
- 1/5
This place is not for tourists!
- 1/5
Don’t stay here!
- 1/5
This was thee worst hotel i have ever seen in my life i wish i would have taken pictures of how nasty the room was, there were roaches everyehere in the tub on the walls, the bed had black marks on the sheets the towels looked like someone wiped the floor with them. Im not even kidding how nasty it was.The picture of the room on the website looks so much better than the actual room. I dont think it was even clean enough for a homeless person to sleep in. I cant believe this hotel rent rooms under these conditions. I left the same night I came.
- 1/5
After paying through Expedia they wouldnt give me the room i was charged on my credit card and never given a room
- 1/5
no staff work in night, don't live there
- 4/5
The room is a good deal for the price of the room including tax, and private bathroom. Updated bathroom, has nice size and shape shower/tub, good water pressure. No phone, no microwave, but does have flat screen TV.
- 1/5
As i walked up the night manager was talking to a guest that didn't have heat, he told him about an office to get electric heater, but the office is not open till the morning. Was a bit surprised. Goto my room and heater/ac was plugged in but didn't work. Looked inside and the board connecting wire was cut lol. Floor was dirty, bed had stains, and tge shower too 10 mins to get warm and shut off twice due to lack of water pressure. You should not support this place!
- 1/5
It was filthy, roaches and bedbugs scattered as soon as I opened the door.It smelled of urine and I left I did not even stay 5 minutes.
- 1/5
This was not a safe place for families with children. I saw 2 syringes with needles still attached on the ground in the parking lot. While waiting (outside) to check in, I overheard a group (loudly) discussing their plans to graffiti the building across the street that night and their frustration with their tagging troubles the night before- their paint got cold. There were lots of people wandering around and gathering in groups. I looked up and realized the location is directly across from project Open Hand https://www.openhand.org/. I think the manager sensed my discomfort because he asked again if I had kids, then said the residents can be loud but he thought we should be safe. They had overbooked and only had 1 of the 2 rooms I had prepaid which didn’t matter as I took the hint, left and found a safer hotel. I did pick up some tips on how to “ungum up” the nozzles of cold spray paint cans, though, I may give it a try if I’m ever in need.
- 1/5
Very dirty, rooms are nonsmoking and stink like tobacco, sheets are burn with cigarette spots not one burn spot but like 7 on one bed sheet, full of addics in their rooms and hallways is scary
- 1/5
The bed wasn't clean
- 1/5
Started off bad with the most rude and snail slow front desk employee who seemed to have a daycare running at the same time. Then noticed how many junkies were surrounding us, starting with the guy checking in before us, actually talking to some passerby about scoring. The room itself was disgusting. One outlet in the whole room worked. Holes in the walls, a missing smoke detector, no coffee maker, microwave, or mini fridge. Bed was old and sunken in, pillows were old and lumpy, the blanket had cigarette burns in them, even though this is a no smoking hotel and we were only given 3 pillows for a king size bed. There was a hole in the bathroom door, the towels left in our room were actually dirty, the tub was gross to say the least and the flooring throughout was dirty and sticky!!! I wish I knew how to share photos on here, please do not take your kids here! Stay away!!! Expedia should NOT advertise this hotel at all!!!!!
- 4/5
The surrounded area it is not that safe, be ware but the hotel by itself it is pretty good.
- 1/5
2 mismatched towels, no hand towel wash cloths or bath mat. No cover on the light & the bathroom vent was taped over
- 4/5
Central location and price

Roaches all over. Yuck!!
- 1/5
Bad neighborhood dirty rooms dirty sheets check in and check out in one hour went to different hotel, not place for a family to stay at
- 1/5
The building is completely ruined, the neighborhood is unsafe and loud. No heater in the room, filfy beds and bathroom. The covers had stains and matka of burn. It was disgusting laying there. I booked two night stay and had to leave immediately after the first night.
- 1/5
This is the worse place to stay. It shouldn’t be here, and be careful, I got promised a refund from the Manager and the Front Desk guy, but the Hotels.com support service it’s a scam too. Very unpleasant, disappointing, and upsetting experience.
- 1/5
Absolutely disgusting. Unwashed and stained sheets and towels.
- 1/5
This place is terrible. Broken windows, smelly dirty old room very badly oxidated bath tub. Bedding old and stained. No phone. I was concerned for our safety as well as our car's. I went to the front desk and the guy told me that was the best room he had if I didn't like it I should contact hotels.com. I tried but I was given an out of country number for customer service. Obviously I could not call. I ended up not staying and going to a different hotel. I did not get a refund. And I do not undesrand how hotels.com has a place like this as an option
- 1/5
The place was a dump! Cracked that tub, people trying to getting in our room. it was a scary place to stay alone
- 1/5
Terrible duty smelling so bad bad location not safe didn’t stay I couldn’t stand the room smell
- 1/5
Stay away from this place . Frequented by bums and addicts. 2 guys flashing and bragging their knives RIGHT NEXT TO THE OFFICE while waiting for rooms. Loud at night. management don't treat online paying customer nice, they DONT CARE.because rooms gets filled easily. This hotel accept cash payment without tax when paying, only one guy at the office is better. I was very very disappointed with how I was treated. I stayed. A few times, but enough is enough
- 1/5
don't even want to know what was in the toilet and the sink cabinet was broken.
- 1/5
Do NOT stay here. Me and my family had people try to come into our room at 2am. They had the key to our room and kept trying to open our door. I had to call the police and i felt me and my familys life was threatened. The rooms were extremely dirty with stains and burn holes in the sheets. When the incident occurred, the staff took zero responsibility and kept saying that it was just because the area is bad, but did not acknowledge the fact that the people had the key card to MY room. Made me feel as if the staff was involved and trying to do some illegal or sketchy stuff and i wasnt actually supposed to be in that room. The police told me that this hotel is specifically involved in very bad people coming in and out of this place, and that nobody should be coming to stay here.
- 1/5
A roach crawled off the bed. No lamp, no phone. Rat hole, drug activity, no tv. Mold in bathroom.
- 1/5
The dirtiest and worst place ever
- 1/5
One of the worst hotels in the city if u want to be disrupted by crackheads and drug dealers all night go there lol I highly suggest looking for another hotel the room was ok but the bed sheets were dirty as hell and crackheads stay up all night outside I left before checkout matter fact I left the same day I booked the hotel lol
- 1/5
I wasn’t even aloud to have my own key to the room. They forced me to rely on the front desk to let me in/out of the room. seringes and burnt aluminum foil on the stairs. Very sketchy hotel. Don’t bring women or children here. Not a safe place.
- 1/5
Well, it was a special experience
- 1/5
This hotel needs to be audit is unsafe with drug addicts all around the hotel. The blankets were filthy and pillow cases were old and dirty. The heater did not work and it was very cold. I looked out the door and debated if i wanted to go to the office at 3:15 in the morning due to the drugs ouside my room. I finally go down and employee working hands me a small nox heater. I was told not to.put it higher than 750.
- 1/5
the worst place ever i had to leave and get another hotel shit hole
- 3/5
I am under human experimentation from the federal government, I didnt have any privacy with agents staying next to my room and survaillance 24 hours a day. I stayed in 2 different rooms and only one power outlet works in every room. If you do drugs, this is the right hotel for you, when you open your door's room" it might be someone asking you what you want. The steps are used as public restrooms for homeless and other visitors, so you will experience the decline of a city with no healthy concerns at all. The hotel is close to different restaurants and landmarks of downtown SF. I am pretty sure someone entered at my first room and stole my FL driver license. The room service is nice and on time.
- 2/5
Scott Central room with no TV the heater and air conditioning didn't work there were holes in the wall that plastic things were taped over with clear masking tape my card keep getting deactivated every time I left my room and the lady next door was literally got robbed
- 2/5
This a motel. I found a pair of socks under the bed. It is use by poor peole like me or for those looking to hide their activities, prostitution and other social issues. So is what ypu can get for 35 dollars.
- 1/5
If you're OK with San Francisco's homeless and mentally ill lurking about and playing loud music at all hours of the night, then this place is for you....Otherwise, GET AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE.
- 1/5
I never stayed I need my cancellation and refund back immediately
