Fabulous location and a very comfortable spacious suite. Roof terrace a fantastic bonus. Shower water pressure wasn’t as high as we’d have liked.

Our stay at Suites at Fisherman’s Wharf exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area, which made exploring San Francisco so much easier and more enjoyable. The location truly could not have been better. The cable car stop is right outside the hotel, and Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, and many restaurants and attractions were all within easy walking distance. Despite being close to everything, the property still felt quiet, safe, and relaxing. The suite itself was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Having a full kitchen was such a huge bonus for our family, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything felt clean, and very well maintained. One of the absolute highlights was the rooftop deck. The panoramic views of the bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge were breathtaking — especially at sunset. It became one of our favorite parts of the trip. What really sets this place apart is the combination of comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality. It truly felt like a home away from home in the heart of San Francisco. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Staff were great. Room was fully equipped kitchen, great for our traveling family. We were there for 6 nights! Nice to cook in for breakfasts. Good location. Has a working laundry too which was great as we packed light
- 5/5
Localisation is PERFECT! Coffee in the apartment. Kettle in the apartment would be much appreciated for European tourists used to drink tea at the evening and in the morning.
- 4.5/5
Perfect apartment for me and my daughter, it was very spacious and clean. The kitchen facilities were excellent, and the fold out couch was very comfortable. Location was fabulous, with a tram stop right outside and walking distance to many cool restaurants, cafes, convenience store and tourist spots. All of staff were super friendly and helpful. The views from the rooftop lounge area were amazing! nothing, it was perfect for us.

This was the greatest place to stay. It was actually an apartment and we could have easily stayed here for 2 weeks. Beautiful kitchen, fully supplied, TVs in bedroom and LR, gorgeous bathroom with great shower. Also there is a rooftop with couches and chairs overlooking the city! Great location. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. After we checked out they let us leave our luggage and then come back and hang out in the common area until we left for airport! The best staff ever!!! Nothing!!!

The property is in an excellent location near the sights of Fisherman’s Wharf and the Hyde Street Cable Car. The suite was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Nothing
- 5/5
Apartment was excellent! Very clean & well stocked kitchen. Bedroom was private from rest of apartment which was awesome! Bed was very comfortable & plenty of storage in the bedroom for clothes. Location was amazing, right near Fisherman’s Wharf.
- 5/5
Loved everything! Check in was easy, staff were friendly and helpful, apartment was clean and comfortable and the location was amazing! Nothing.

- 5/5
The location is fantastic, cable car stop right outside. The friday welcome drinks at 4.30pm were a nice touch. Rooms are big and very clean. Great shower and kitchen facilities. Would definitely stay again without a doubt.
- 4.5/5
Great location and Richard In reception was excellent. The Cable Car stop is close by. Parking was $45 a night, but apparently that’s normal in San Francisco.
- 5/5
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. Had a great stay, even with the rain!
- 5/5
This place is a real treasure for the price. The staff, location, room quality and size all impress. This was my second stay at suites at fishermans wharf and wont be my last
- 5/5
The room was ideal for a visiting family.
- 5/5
The staff is extremely helpful and informative. The room was much bigger than expected, clean and decently apportioned. The rooftop patio is AMAZING! Spectacular views! Really enjoyed the complimentary glass of wine while looking over the bay.
- 4/5
Very close to everything near the wharf. Was a little disappointed that the coffee was not replenished daily. Otherwise a very good experience. Front desk staff was super helpful!
- 4/5
Conveniently located, room was nice except there was no way to control the temperature.
- 4/5
Great location, clean and comfortable right next to the old tram line and just a couple of blocks from the piers
- 5/5
I LOVED this place. Can’t beat the location. The staff was soooo amazing. The suite was so huge.
- 3/5
The bedroom and bathroom look out onto interior corridor. The room is dark without lights.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay at suites at fisherman's wharf. It was just what we needed l, close proximity to so many things to do in San Francisco and a 2 minute walk to many sights and experiences at the wharf!
- 5/5
Everything was great, will stay here again for my next SF trip!
- 4/5
Beautiful property with great proximity to everything. All things considered, we didn’t really mind the elevator being out of commission for repairs. Definitely would love to come back again and hang out on the rooftop to watch the sunset/sunrise!
- 5/5
The suite was very nice. We would stay again and will be telling friends and family about how nice everything was. For the first time in all our travels we did not need to request extra towels or pillows. We needed to think about any suggestions. They are very minor… a light in the closet (a simple motion detecting puck light would be enough) and a fan for the bathroom. The staff were very nice and kind. We didn’t mind the elevator being out of service. When we return to San Francisco I hope we can stay at the Suites again.
- 3/5
Staff were very nice. Parking was just so tight and heard other guests say the same about the parking.
- 5/5
Our stay at the hotel exceeded my expectations! Very clean, lots of cooking items to make simple meals and a super comfortable bed. The location is ideal for sightseeing. Fisherman’s wharf is within walking distance, Alcatraz visible from the rooftop deck and Lombard Street a few blocks away plus a trolley right outside the door! Area felt very safe. Richard was a great resource and answered all of our questions and filled us up with supplies as needed. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.
- 5/5
Everything just as expected
- 5/5
Great location, friendly helpful staff.
- 5/5
Very close to Ghirardelli square & Fisherman's Wharf (10-15 min easy walk)
- 5/5
The accommodation is well presented and maintained with the suites providing excellent facilities - bedroom, bathroom, lounge area with bed settee and well-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Great location less than five minutes walk to the Fishermans Wharf tourist area and well-served by public transport - buses and the Hyde - Powell cable car. Fantastic rooftop terrace with views of the bay, the city skyline and Alcatraz Island. Basement parking and laundry facilities. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this accommodation and would definitely look to stay again in the future if we are lucky enough to be able to return to San Francisco.
- 5/5
apt. was was well equipt had fridge stove cookware like a little home
- 5/5
We had a great 5 nights at Suites at Fisherman’s Wharf. The location is excellent, cable car and bus stops right outside but also only a few minutes walk to Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. The room itself was spacious and clean and I believe recently refurbished. The staff are very polite and helpful, we have to give a special mention to Jomel who went above and beyond when we needed to take our daughter to the Emergency Room - we are so grateful for his help! We highly recommend staying here and if we ever come back to SF, we will stay here again.
- 5/5
Fantastic location. Lovely apartment fully self contained. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the parking charge but we parked at a nearby garage instead.
- 5/5
It's one of the most wonderful places to stay in San Francisco as a tourist.... bang in the middle of everything... it's very difficult to get a reservation as it's a time share property but if u do so then great.... it's my fifth sixth I jus don't remember....fully equipped kitchen is the best of all
- 5/5
The service we received from the moment we arrived (early to store luggage) was first class, Jomel in particular was very helpful. Would definitely recommend
- 5/5
Wonderful updated suites. Vlean and comfortable. Staff so friendly & helpful. Went above & beyond to accommodate our group
- 5/5
What an absolute gem. Location, accommodation, staff just brilliant. This isn’t a new property, it’s not boutique or flash BUT it is welcoming, clean, has superbly equipped kitchens and extremely comfortable beds. We loved our stay and if we are ever lucky enough to get to San Francisco again we would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
On our arrival after a long journey, the staff went out of their way to settle us in to our room. The accommodation was spacious and very well appointed for a family of four. Kitchen facilities were excellent and the sofa bed was large and comfortable.
- 5/5
Richard was amazing, the day staff not as eager to help.
- 5/5
Great apartment for short term stay with fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed. Easy walk to cafes and pier 39
- 5/5
Staff was great and room was perfect for us (2 adults and an 18 year old). The only negative was that we had a noisy family next to us with young kids who where very loud early in the monring. Nothing the hotel could do about that, but I would stay here again without hesitation. Great location !
- 4/5
This a very roomy apartment with a comfortable couch and armchair and a table and chairs to eat our meals. The kitchen was well stocked and the property has a laundry guests can use. The front desk staff were all helpful but Richard went above and beyond.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
All round great stay at Suites at Fisherman’s Wharf. We were here for 11 nights from UK. Great base for exploring SF. Location was the right balance of SF liveliness whilst feeling safe. Lots of places to eat/drink nearby. Our suite was fab - spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Roof terrace had amazing views of the Bay and lovely at night. Would highly recommend and would return ourselves if in SF again.
- 5/5
Perfect Area great staff nice neighborhood, all around great experience and I’ll stay there again when I go back!
- 5/5
This was the second time we have stayed at this property and we returned due to the accomdation, the location and friendly and helpful staff.
- 4/5
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. The property is right on the cable car and bus routes. That makes for convenience, but note that cable cars can be noisy. It may be due to our location on the first floor. We also found that the floors and walls may be a bit thin… we had some noisy neighbors. However, we did not find those things to be totally off putting. We usually were too exhausted to have them keep us up at night. The property is an easy walk to lots of tourist attractions. A big plus to us since we did not have a car. So getting around is never an issue from this property as your home base! Also, a hidden gem is the rooftop. It is such a nice relaxing spot with spectacular views of the bay. I stayed with a friend on this trip, and I would not hesitate to bring my family to stay in the future.
- 5/5
Excellent facilities, very spacious, high quality fittings and facilities, very helpful staff. Ideally located for bus, cable car and trams to any part of the city. Would highly recommend and will be here next time we’re in SF.
- 5/5
Great location close to Fishermans Warf. The roof top porch offered a wonderful view of the city and bay.
- 5/5
Very good, great service, luggage storage was a good bonus and felt secure, great location on Fisherman's Wharf. Enjoyable.
- 5/5
Tuvimos una maravillosa estadía, el lugar es muy cómodo, el personal muy amable atento a todo, especialmente Richard.
- 5/5
This was a good space as it was literally next to Ghiradelli Square, walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf. Also right by the trolley line. The bed was soft and very comfortable for my daughters. The fold out couch was good for me too. Loads of space and a good balcony. They also offered us colouring books and games as well as hot cocoa packets when we arrived for my girls. The kitchen was handy for doing breakfasts in the flat. They also offered to send up our food delivery the first night. Very attentive staff. The only thing that could be better is water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, great spot!
- 5/5
Such a great position. The cable car stops right outside. Maximum 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and only a little further to the Alcatraz ferry. Great service. The MOST comfortable bed.
- 1/5
They overbooked us and then took 2 hours figuring out what to do about it while providing no information. We were moved to a different hotel in an extremely different area and we weren’t provided compensation of any kind including covering parking or something at our new stay for wasting our time and fully changing our trip. I was very disappointed. The staff member was polite while handling this, but it was very frustrating.
- 5/5
Nicely updated roomy 1 bedroom apartment in a great location. It was walkable to many of San Francisco’s highlights. Helpful staff with parking on site. Would definitely stay here again,
- 1/5
Despite booking our room over 6 months in advance and checking with them 3 days before we left from Sydney Australia that everything was okay we got a message on the way to the airport to say that they were overbooked and have moved us to another hotel. All our planning was done with us staying here so our travel plans were thrown into chaos. No return messages except the same one saying sorry we have overbooked the accommodation.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, specially by Richard at the front desk. Had a lovely stay and experience. Highly recommend it.
- 5/5
The location is wonderful with beautiful views. The staff was very kind and helpful. We found the size and condition of our room to be perfect for a family. The kids had enough space to walk around and play between outings and the kitchen was super convenient. Would stay again!
- 5/5
We loved our hotel stay as well. The view from roof top was breathtaking! We would stay here again!
- 5/5
To sum up, we couldn't ask for better property. It was a very pleasant experience even prior to the arrival. I was a little confused of parking and Richard guided over the phone that made check in process extremely easy. Richard was very reponsive during our stay. Our room refrigerator was not working and was replaced very moment. I didn't catch the name but the engineer(I assume to be a Chinese) who came to check on the fridge was very very kind. We just couldn't ask for the better location. It was 2 short blocks from the ocean and right in front of the hotel was bus/cable car stop. We had nice jogs every morning to the golden gate bridge. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to the area.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the location was great for hopping on busses or the cable cars. I really didn't have any complaints.
- 4/5
Was very pleasantly surprised by this property. The pictures on Expedia made it look rather dated, but when we arrived, found everything had been painted and newly furnished. Great location, easy walking to Fishermans Wharf and Ghirardelli Square and right on the cable car line. Spacious 1 bedroom suites with kitchen are great for families. Very friendly and helpful staff keep in touch via text throughout your stay. Expedia didn't provide check in and parking instructions, but we were able to call the front desk and get information. We would stay here again on our next trip!
- 4/5
Liked roof top views
- 5/5
Great location and good value
- 4/5
Staff were welcoming and helpful. Antiquated elevator adds to the hotels unique charm. Roof top view really a hidden jem.
- 5/5
Great place and a great location. We loved the rooftop patio. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
Location, location, location! - Theses suites are the perfect location, on the Fisherman's Wharf, a stop for the Cable right in front (to avoid long lines on the Wharf), restaurants and shopping all around, Ghirardelli, Boudin, Pier 39 and the sea lion are at 12 mins on foot, and Pier 33 for the Alcatraz boat at 18 mins. Lombard street is at only few minutes on foot, and then Chinatown, etc. - In the street, you will also find a bike rental to go across the Golden Gate bridge and you can come back via a ferry or ride back. - As for the suite, you have everything you need: plenty of dishes, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, toaster, large fridge, even a little salt and pepper. All was spotless. - Bathroom is also with plenty of soaps and stuff, and was perfectly clean. - Kind bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. - And let's not forget the deck on top, with amazing views on the wharf and Alcatraz, even a little corner of the GG bridge, and tables to have lunch or dinner. - The personnel was amazing, Richard in particular. CONS: (no big deal but worth mentioning) - When the heat is on, it's pretty noisy. - We were on a lower floor. Well, a family of elephant were living on top of us, as we could hear every one of them walking, running, yelling and whatever else doing on top of our head! Maybe place families on lower floors ( its less stairs for kids) and quiet couples on higher floors? Anyway, we will go back there on our next trip in SF for sure!
- 5/5
Great spot and service!
- 5/5
The great rooftop, fantastic view of the San Francisco Bay, and Golden Gate Bridge. (Note: to get to rooftop you have to walk up a couple small flights of stairs)
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Made our stay perfect and would definitely recommend this and stay here again!
- 5/5
Incredibly central property to all locations in fisherman’s wharf
- 5/5
Good location, near public transportation. Clean and spacious. We had one bedroom unit with the full kitchen that was recently renovated.
- 4/5
Staff were very accommodating and gave us view room after our original flight was cancelled late and we lost a our first night. Great location on the cable car route, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Bay
- 5/5
Our stay could not have been better! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. At the room was clean and perfect for our family of five. Everything was updated and also very clean. They supplied everything we needed, including microwave popcorn, coffee, snacks, etc. All the dishes you need are there. The tiny issue we had was that, upon arrival, a rollaway bed was not available, even though I called in advance to make sure it would be. The staff was very apologetic. My 10-year-old daughter just slept in our king bed for the first night and it was fine. The rollaway was available for our next two nights. I would highly recommend this place for the location, the friendliness of the staff, and it just being a nice place overall. I would stay here again, and you should if you are considering it. Thank you for a terrific stay!
- 4/5
Helpful front desk staff. Though no hosekeeping, towels and kitchen stuff replenished as needed
- 5/5
Great location. Very friendly employees. Was convenient to Escape from Alcatraz triathlon event.
- 5/5
it was a quiet &clean. the location was perfect.
- 5/5
Our room was large and convenient. Also - having laundry right there at the lobby was very nice. Overall - a great stay.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the location and quiet times. The staff was super pleasant
- 5/5
First time in SF and we had the time of our lives! Special birthday celebrated and guest services upgraded our room with a balcony and a view. It really made our trip that much more perfect. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. 5 star recommendation to anyone who plans a trip to the Bay.
- 5/5
Great to have the extra space with a kitchen
- 5/5
The room is spacious and quiet. The kitchen and dining table are a big plus with children. It makes everything easier. We enjoyed sunset on the roof top too. Overall we had a wonderful time there.
- 1/5
We were notified on the day we were arriving that they did not have a room for us, even though we booked 3 months in advance. Terrible situation, I was transferred to multiple different people, they moved us to a hotel in a completely different area in SF. Terrible way to treat people. Expedia was unaware of the situation and were unhelpful when I was trying to fix the problem.
- 5/5
The location was fantastic! Walking distance to several restaurants and shops and a block away from the Powell and Hyde trolley stop! Super clean and comfy. Awesome kitchenette. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
The location is only a couple blocks from beach street and the park at fFsherman's Wharf. The trolley drives right by and other public transportation is available on the corner. It was very easy to get everywhere you would want to visit in San Francisco due to its location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Front desk staff are super friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful room. Perfect for my wife and me and our two granddaughters. The room had a full kitchen, a large living room and a separate bedroom for us. It was newly painted and carpeted and smelled fresh and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful to our every needs.
- 5/5
The suite was clean and modern and had plenty of space for three adults. It included a perfectly sized and fully loaded kitchen, which came in handy during our stay. The property has a fantastic rooftop with a beautiful view of the bay and Alcatraz. Great location near Fisherman’s Wharf and restaurants. We will definitely return to it on our next stay in San Francisco.
- 1/5
I have never written a negative review, but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We booked months in advance and when we arrived with six people, we were told they did not have any rooms for us. Then they tried to move us to a different hotel that was in a different area of the city (40 mins farther away from the Wharf). They seemed indifferent about it. We had to scramble to find rooms and got stuck paying $1208 more than the price we booked at Suites at Fishermans Wharf. Why take reservations and charge if you are not going to have rooms? Or at a minimum, let us know you don't have rooms before we arrive! I would recommend not booking with them (or have a backup plan)
- 4/5
Very well located to various points of interest. Many dining options available. Great mass transit options. Overall a nice place to stay.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 1/5
I booked a month in advance. An email was sent the day before stating that there was an unforeseen issue preventing me from staying there. They accommodated me by moving my reservations to another of their properties. I contacted the other property to ask what happened and they stated that it’s usually due to overbooking. I chose this hotel because of the convenient location by the wharf and planned my trip accordingly. Instead, I cancelled since my plans were derailed.
- 5/5
Awesome location, tons of perks, kind and attentive staff.
- 2/5
I booked this hotel through hotels.com and received a confirmation. On my confirmation is my email as well as my phone number. Upon arriving after a 6.5 mile drive, I circled the location of the hotel and called to confirm where I could park. When asked by the front desk my name, I was told at that time that despite being confirmed the hotel was sold out and that I had been booked at a 'sister hotel 1/2 a mile' away despite never contacting me in area a couple miles away in which I did not want to be. Additionally, I was told that 'they called', and yet at the same time they said 'did not have my contact information' which is a clear contradiction. They claimed it was the 3rd party booking site's fault mentioning a site separate from hotel.com. My guess is since we were staying for a short times someone else attempted to book a longer stay and they just moved us. Hotel.com did try and remedy the situation however, it took an additional 4 hours which essentially wasted that afternoon of what was already a short trip. I in know way believe they did not have my information, nor do I believe they tried to call as I was in my car for 6.5 hours and I find this place to be very dishonest, and shifting the blame and assuming that putting me no where near the wharf was a solution. Have no intention of ever giving this place my business or recommending to anyone else.
- 4/5
Great location. Room was very nice. The filtered water system in the lobby was a great ammenity. Only issue we had was the parking. The lot is very small. Looks like it only fits 10 cars....maybe. We had to park a couple blocks away. I wouldn't even make an issue out of it, if we would have been told about the very limited parking. But, we were told parking is available. If you are going to say "parking available" then in my perspective as a business owner myself, you need to make sure its available. Dont set an expectation that you cant live up to. Thats my only complaint. Otherwise the hotel was great.
- 5/5
Great location with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Loved the apartment style with full kitchen and separate bedroom. Easy access to anything you may want to do during your visit to San Francisco!
- 5/5
Marie was one of the most helpful front desk attendants we’ve encountered. Everyone was polite and helpful, and the hotel was great. There was a well stocked small kitchen and a generous sized table for eating. They have board games you can borrow for a low-tech stay-in. The location was perfect, close to the wharf and walking distance to many excellent restaurants, parks, and a nice section of bayfront. The parking was an extra charge, which is expected in this part of SanFran, but was in a clean garage, which was nice. There was a coin-op laundry, elevator, and an open staircase that wasn’t just a dark, creepy fire escape so it was easy to choose to take the stairs.
- 5/5
Had a amazing time at San Francisco wished could have stayed longer
- 5/5
Awesome roof top view. Location was right in the heart of Fishermans Wharf nicer area near Ghirardeli's, Starbucks and the Hyde Street Trolley. The lobby is super modern and clean but the rooms need some upgrades.
- 5/5
Our only issue is with the bed The mattress was like a waterbed almost.
- 3/5
Woke up noth nights by crying baby and people walki g around above us. Walls are paper this. View and location excellent just wish we had got more rest.
- 5/5
One night stay after six day stay in Sonoma. Wonderful trip and great service with warm friendly staff.
- 5/5
Good location, walking distance to piers, Lombard street and other attractions, secure parking, nice size rooms, friendly staff.
- 4/5
The fold out couch was rather uncomfortable (even by fold out couch standards). Air con didn't work and bedroom fan only worked with light on. Room was large, clean and apart from above comfortable
- 5/5
Wonderful location. Trolley stop at your door. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Walking distance to wharf area, comfortable and clean room with kitchen. Nice building, friendly staff and nice roof top view.
- 5/5
The location was fantastic, staff were super helpful and the rooftop terrace was amazing! The one bedroom suite was huge. This would defiantly be top of the list to stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved the location of the hotel right where we wanted to be. No air con in the rooms but 2 ceiling fans which were ok if you can sleep with them on all night. All the amenities needed. Rooms made up daily.
- 5/5
The suite itself was very spacious, bathroom was small but not a problem for us. The room was cleaned daily. Enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace. Overall an excellent stay, it might not be as modern and plush as some hotels, but makes up for this in other areas.
- 4/5
The location of the hotel was amazing and the staff were helpful in so many ways
- 5/5
Superb location, comfortable and clean location. Roof top terrace an added bonus with views of Alcatraz. Tram stop is just outside the accommodation and there is parking on site
- 5/5
The location of the property is unique being so close to Fisherman’s Wharf and on the cable car line. The staff were all excellent as well.
- 5/5
The rooftop terrace looks right over Alcatraz and down toward fishermans wharf. Could not have been happier with this choice.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff, well located close to Fisherman's Wharf, cable car stop right outside the door, fully serviced apartment with all the amenities.
