Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location near Fisherman's Wharf and the Embarcadero, making it a convenient choice for tourists. The staff is consistently described as friendly and helpful. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the extra fees, particularly the destination fee, and the lack of free breakfast. The cleanliness and modern appearance of the hotel are appreciated, but some guests find the rooms plain and report issues with amenities.
- Excellent location near Fisherman's Wharf and the Embarcadero
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Extra fees, particularly the destination fee
- Lack of free breakfast

Felt safe and cared for by the staff; the hotel is close to a lot of areas that you can walk and enjoy.

Great location, nice rooms, I got a city view room, but being that I was on the 2nd floor it wasn’t much of a view. Still a great place to stay.

Clean and close to everything

The room and property was not like the pictures online, very aged room. Stains in the shower, no mini fridge, no complimentary breakfast, one of the lamps wouldn’t work, just very run down and disappointing considering we spent just shy of $500 for one night. Definitely not worth the price

Loved the friendly staff, and free games for families with children to play. Room was clean with room for a family of 4. It could be a bit noisy at night from people or traffic on the street but that’s to be expected with its awesome location close to the wharf. Highly recommend!

Very good
- 5/5
Really appreciated the pick and choose breakfast so we only paid for what we used. Pool was nice, towels provided and very clean. Nice lobby area with free tea and coffee until 4pm Free cycle hire for 2 hrs but we didn't use that.
- 4/5
Very close to Fisherman’s Wharf and Lombard street as well as the cable cars. Hotel was very clean. Furniture in rooms is worn and bath tub paint is chipping. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Price is very good for the location.

We will definitely stay here again!

Had a blast enjoyed my stay.

Location Horrible front desk service, air conditioning was malfunctioning, pool was cold, hidden charges
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. The hotel was good, especially considering the price-point. There were a couple of things in the room that were a little dusty - thinking about the HVAC register in the bathroom. Bathroom door didn't lock properly. No in-room coffee by default, BUT upon inquiring as to how I could get coffee VERY early (I was doing the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon the following morning) they brought a coffee machine, coffee, cups, and some sweetener up to the room for me. I really appreciated that. My kids enjoyed it. It was a little loud outside the hotel, but I don't know that you're going to get away from that anywhere inside SF. Easy walk to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Warf. Longer walk but still doable to Marina Green/Crissy Field. Parking was pretty easy. Again, for the money, I was very pleased.

As with most hotels in San Francisco – I presume – there were lots of hidden fees to work out. That aside, the hotel is very nice, with a nice happening feel and lots to do in the lobby, making it a great place to hang out.The location of the hotel is ideal. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return and stay there next time.
- 4.5/5
I loved the design, the location, the games in the lobby, the size of the room was also pretty good. They charge extra for EVERYTHING, and then give you a “discount “ which is annoying. Parking, holding the key for the washing machine room, a fridge in the room…
- 4/5
Great location, Comfy and clean Bathtub shower. I liked the free coffee downstairs but I always had to wait a long time for the one cafe worker to be free to fill it up
- 5/5
Location is excellent Could do with some TLC
- 4/5
Great location for Alcatraz and fisherman’s wharf. Quite expensive, but at least the resort fees were included in the booking.com price. Around $70 for parking felt excessive- its wasn’t even a secure lot.
- 5/5
Great definitely coming back
- 5/5
Easy transit connections too, F street car was 2 blocks away, and 28 and 30 buses were right out front. Francisco Park (which has a playground and an incredible view) was a quick walk uphill, and some food and coffee options right around the hotel. Would highly recommend for families. Only downside was parking costs, but we ended up using SpotHero for parking at a garage a few blocks down.
- 5/5
We loved taking advantage of the free bike rental part of the destination tax. The common area was the first I have had truly enjoyed using. The hotel really is in a great walkable location to so many key San Francisco sites.
- 5/5
Super close to the water and at the same time tons of dining and such.
- 4.5/5
Great location The nightshift staff person who wasn’t very helpful when we had an emergency
- 5/5
Absolutely exceeded our expectations, the location was wonderful, the staff all were wonderful. It smelled good like a Disney resort, the amenities were plentiful. I am so happy I chose this hotel. A little out of my budget but I’m happy. The breakfast breads (bagels) very pricey, but there was a decent selection.

I looove the scent of the lobby when you first walk in. There's a pool table area that my friends and I spent a lot of time at. It was great to have a space where we could just have fun and hang out. Location is fantastic, it literally is just a few steps away from Fisherman's Wharf. I wish there were other ways of accessing the rooms. They had us staying in a room at the very end of the hallway, and it felt like quite a trek just to leave to fill up my water bottle.

This is a fresh hotel with lovely rooms just blocks away from San Francisco's fabulous Fisherman's Wharf range of unending seaside views and attractions. Rooms were clean and bright and refreshed daily. The included wi fi was not restricted in any way, and provided ample access for our group of multiple-device users. We will come back again!

It was good I only wanted to 2 tonight and then I decided to stay there 1 more night, but your staff was not gonna help me keep my same room. And they were gonna upgrade me to a higher price room so I left
- 5/5
The swimming pool is heated (!) and there are cabanas and plenty of chairs. Best time the day is early, as the wind picks up in the afternoon. Didn't try the morning breakfast. There are many other breakfast choices within walking distance. A shout out to the staff. Friendly and professional. I asked for a blanket and hot water pot and they were delivered quickly. Thank you.

Game room with two arcade games with hundreds of games to choose from, pool table, giant jenga, and connect four, all free for hotel guest. Short and mostly flat walk to shops and restaurants in fisherman's wharf.

- 3.5/5
The location was the selling point for me. I didn’t like that they had hidden fees I had to pay when I got to the property. The concierge was also not helpful when I was looking for local activities and spots to eat. I had to do my own research on prices and offerings.

Location is good, staff is nice. The sink in our room was not working pouring water when we use it but we didn’t want to change the room, not having coffee maker in the room was a minus, it was really loud.
- 3.5/5
The location was safe, we went out for a walk at night and it was fine To have a fridge is $25 for the whole stay - I never have been asked for to pay for a fridge in any hotel whether lower or higher rating, so it was very weird. Room face the Main Street was loud no proper breakfast We were looking forward to the pool, but it wasn’t as nice as picture

Overall, we stay here a lot because of its convenience. It is a big property with very convenient parking in the garage below. You can walk around the area and run into so many great sights.
- 5/5
So it got muggy after showers. Other than that it was a great place to stay.
- 4/5
The hotel has an excellent location, and the staff is always willing to help. Our room was near the back alley, and every couple of days the garbage truck made quite a bit of noise in the mornings. However, if you’re not a light sleeper, it likely won’t be an issue. If you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend requesting a room away from the dumpsters. Other than that, everything should be great.
- 3.5/5
The staff were really nice and helpful! The bathroom, facility seemed old. & The beds were too soft.

- 3.5/5
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Caza and there were many things to like. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with spacious bathrooms and excellent walk-in showers. The toiletries provided were lovely, and we appreciated that towels and bed linen were refreshed daily. There were plenty of plug sockets in the room, which was very convenient for a family travelling with multiple devices. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Marina Cove, making it an ideal base for exploring San Francisco. The lobby always smelled amazing, with a fresh fragrance that seemed to be circulated through the air conditioning system, creating a welcoming first impression. The evening milk and cookies were a lovely touch for children, and the grab-and-go breakfast offered a good selection of items. The children's play area was also very well equipped and kept our younger children entertained. Finally, the front desk staff we dealt with during our stay were friendly, professional and helpful. Unfortunately, there were several disappointments which prevented this from being a truly exceptional stay. We were visiting to celebrate two significant birthdays – a 50th and an 18th. I made the hotel aware of both occasions at the time of booking via Booking.com and also followed up by email directly with the front desk. Neither birthday was acknowledged during our stay, which was disappointing given that advance notice had been provided. We were also allocated a ground-floor room with a completely obscured view of a blue-painted brick wall, which was far from ideal. More significantly, I booked and paid for our stay in full over four months in advance and specifically selected a room configuration that would allow for interconnected rooms. At time of booking, I sent request for interconnected rooms via Booking.com and was advised to email the front desk directly, which I did. The response stated that interconnected rooms could not be guaranteed and that room allocation would be determined at check-in. I find this difficult to understand when a booking has been made and paid for several months in advance. Interconnecting rooms are particularly important for families travelling with children, and it seems this process would benefit from review. Despite my repeated requests, we initially arrived to find we had been allocated rooms on different floors altogether. To their credit, the front desk staff were able to move us to two ground-floor rooms closer together, although they still had two rooms between them and were not interconnected. What was most frustrating was the apparent lack of communication between departments. At check-in, I was told there was no note on my reservation regarding the request for interconnected rooms, despite having sent messages through Booking.com and exchanging emails directly with the front desk.

Location, beds Too few staff and the little vendor kiosk was always closed when I wanted a drink. Finally caught it when it was open and then the bar guy disappeared and I couldn’t pay for them at the front desk even to charge them to our room. Tiring. View of the roof was blah. Maybe an upgrade would be worth it.

Nice hotel, good location near to Fisherman's wharf, staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast service, it was very much a grab and go service. No hot food available, just sandwiches and salads, yoghurts etc. Also lots of noise from outside, rooms not double glazed so could hear cars, people and bin collections through the night.

Hotel Caza was a pleasant surprise. It's not overly fancy or beautiful but we enjoyed everthing about it, from easy self parking to the helpful staff, well appointed rooms and an amazing pool area complete with cabanas. Great location - 2 very nice brunch restaurants just across the street and easy walk to Pier 39 or Ghiradelli Square. We enjoyed every part of our stay at Hotel Caza.

Great hotel. Very central, close to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf. Lots of fun things around the hotels for everyone (games, tea/coffee, pool, etc). Friendly staff and even a 1pm late check-out (very rare these days!). Will be back when in SF!
- 4/5
The property required a slight renovation, especially the windows as the wind whistled through the gaps and special attention to clean the windows was necessary. Other than that, the staff were attentive, helpful and the hotel in general is at a perfect location. Minutes away from easy touristy transport (trams) and sightseeing locations.

The location was wonderful , and parking was plentiful. For the price I expect a little more amenities in the room, we had to ask for a refrigerator, a vanity kit and a shower cap.

Good location, close and walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf. Rooms and bathroom were just ok. Shower was the best feature… nice hot shower. Our room backed up to the alley and we heard loud cars and alarms all night. No coffee maker in the room. They provide coffee in the cafe. Everything is additional charge. We had a good stay and felt safe.

Hôtel très propre, excellent service, belle piscine et très bien situé: port, Big Bus et nombreux restaurants ❣️
- 1.5/5
The location was convenient, and the room size was relatively spacious. Other than that, there was not much else that stood out positively during our stay. Many important charges and policies were not clearly mentioned in advance and had to be discovered only after arrival. For example, the pet fee information was unclear, and the hotel parking was significantly more expensive than the covered public parking garage behind the hotel, which did not make sense. The room was also not as clean as expected, especially the carpet, which looked very old and dirty and should really be replaced. Despite the warm weather, there was no refrigerator in the room unless an additional $25 fee was paid. We were also told that check-in would only be available at 4 PM, but then offered earlier access only if we paid an extra fee. Overall, it felt like almost everything required an unexpected additional charge, which did not feel welcoming or customer-friendly. At night there was no proper manager available, and staff were often unable to provide clear answers to questions. We were also incorrectly charged at one point, although the amount was later refunded. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend this hotel to others

Great location! Just a couple blocks from Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, and cable car turn around. We stayed in room 501 which gave a great view of downtown and Coit tower.

I didn’t see a pool. There was a homeless person taking a bowel movement outside sour room, alley view. Then he changed his clothes, all while looking at our window.

Shuttle bus service to the airport was awesome. Brian and Jonathan were the best. Location was great and so clean Everything was great, shame there is no fridge in the room but it’s not a deal breaker
- 1/5
The location is great, 10 min walking to the Wharf and the iconinc cable car During our check in (11th May evening 11 pm) the front desk staff was extremely arrogant. When we entered our room, it was not the type we reserved. When we returned and told her the room is not acceptable for us, she gaslighted us and claimed that she informed us during the check in that they were out of king deluxes. Such conversarion never happened. The level of audacity and arrogance was insane and this is not the kind of customer service a 4 star hotel can allow. When I put in a complaint at booking customer service the hotel refused to compensatenus in any way. We were offered the adequate room the next morning, however still had to spend 1 night in a bad, super noisy room. This is not the value I paid for and ruined the first night and day of our SF stay
- 2/5
I expected a more modern hotel. It needs to be updated for sure!! We had a King room with a view and there wasnt any view since we only saw the corner of two streets! I am not sure how this hotel had such high ratings. I would have expected it to be more modern!! Since the amenities were old not sure if it clean or not!! The sprinklehead for the shower was good! I will not want to stay at a hotel like this again!!
- 1/5
Instead, we were placed in a 2 Queen room after paying around $850 for 2 nights including parking. I should not have to pay more to receive the room type I originally booked. I’d like this issue properly addressed and compensated.

Great Location! Tour desk located in the hotel was not great.

I am disappointed with how the hotel handled my $400 deposit after checkout. I left the hotel on April 25, 2026, and was initially told several times that the deposit had already been released and would return to my account within 7–10 business days. However, after contacting the hotel multiple times, they later admitted that the automatic release had failed and that they only manually released the authorization much later. Today We are on the afternoon on 08/05/2026, and I don't have yet a solution. This has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, especially because I had to follow up repeatedly before the issue was properly acknowledged. I also requested written proof or a receipt confirming the release of the funds, but this has not been provided. To make matters more confusing, I received a refund of only $0.01, while the outstanding deposit is $400. The stay itself may have been acceptable, but the post-stay handling of the deposit has seriously affected my overall experience. I would expect clearer communication, faster resolution, and proper proof when a guest’s money is being held for this long. Great location but very basic hotel. Big queues for check in because you need to room card to even use the hotel bathroom so if you haven’t checked in yet or have checked out it’s a hassle. Definitely not a smooth check in compared to other hotels but does the job for a central hotel near fisherman’s wharf.
- 2.5/5
There’s no free parking, it takes $75 to park at the hotel, and the closet public parking takes $50. The staff is not friendly and his voice is so low. I don’t feel welcomed and we were offered the corner room

I had my luggage in storage and when I came back to retrieve them, the lady at the desk didn’t want to help me because she was preoccupied making a reservation to other guests. My driver was outside waiting for me. It would have taken only two seconds for her to give my luggage back. I wasn’t asking for a lot. She could have stopped what she was doing and given my luggage, it really wasn’t that hard.

Friendly staff Cafe bar did not meet our expectations as on the day of the arrival there was no hot water or coffee - even after asking for it. Great location since top tourist locations are at walking locations. They let us leave our car till 6pm on the day of checkout - that was a great convenience and we really appreciated that.

Cheap and cheerf
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant, property was nice and clean.location was easy to get around. I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Location can't be beat!! Right next to everything a tourist could want, walked to many attractions/restaurants and transit access was easy. Downstairs lounge with free games was so cool, and the family loved it. Good for travel with kids. Shuffleboard could use some fresh sand, and video game kiosks could use an instruction manual. Be aware that you do have to pay extra for a fridge in the room.
- 5/5
A great location at Fisherman's Wharf near many key attractions and restaurants that are easily walkable. We did find our ground level room a bit noisy with street sounds overnight and garbage collection very early in the morning though. There is no kettle in the room but we had easy access to hot water and cold drinking water at no cost (refill your own bottle) on our level with additional vending machines too. There is a Big Bus tours stop pretty much right outside too, that was very handy for our tour options we'd booked separately too. Overall, a very comfortable stay and a fantastic location. Thank you
- 5/5
Just the Swimmingpool we thought it was little cold temperature.
- 5/5
Great place to stay while in San Francisco! We have been there 4 times and will be back!
- 4/5
Great location! Walking distance to many things!’
- 4/5

We loved the play area with games , pool table , gym and swimming pool . Nothing
- 5/5
The location is great for access to all the places we wanted to visit. Good public transport access. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Busy , modern feel with nice lobby to relax and had a drink or light meals .
- 5/5
Wonderful location. Super quiet. Bed very comfortable.
- 1/5
I stayed here for one night and had a mixed experience. The positives first — the staff were friendly and the location is great, especially if you want to stay near Fisherman’s Wharf. The room itself was okay and met basic expectations. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted my stay. The in-room AC unit was extremely loud (it sounded like a helicopter running throughout the night), and since the room faced the street, outside noise made it even worse. I reported the issue during the night, but since the hotel was fully booked, no resolution was provided. Additionally, the bathroom vent was covered in visible dust, which raised concerns about overall maintenance. I also tried to follow up with the manager after my stay, but unfortunately no solution or meaningful resolution was offered. Overall, while the location and staff are positives, the facility feels somewhat outdated, and the lack of resolution to a reported issue was disappointing. I would recommend requesting a quieter room if you are sensitive to noise.
- 5/5
The staff were super helpful when we got there late and didn’t know what to do about parking. They were friendly and genuine. The hotel was great about being accessible around town and food locations near it.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
No restaurant, not even a brought-in continental breakfast. They had only pastries, coffee, bananas. My friends’ rooms on third floor had no frig or coffeemaker. My room on 5th floor had both. I’m wondering if I paid extra for those items without realizing it. When I made the reservation, I certainly didn’t ask for those things. Also, my room with the view included lots of street construction noise, certainly not the hotel’s fault. But my friends rooms on the opposite side of the building looked directly at a wall. However, the concierge, Brian, was extremely helpful, so kudos to him. I wouldn’t say there was anything bad about this hotel; my room was quite clean, the housekeeping service was good, and the bed was comfortable. And I loved the fact that you could watch TV without jumping through a lot of hoops or using apps; I like to watch the local news to know what is happening when I’m staying in a city. I gave the hotel the rating I did simply because it was very average, no restaurant and not a lot of extras
- 5/5
For the first time I actually went and hung out and played pool it was incredible to see all the family’s and stuff having a great time and talking about there stay! As always this hotel is amazing
- 4/5
Incredibly helpful staff. Reservation was messed up and they resolved it with no questions asked, and were very nice
- 3/5
The hotel is clean, and the staff is helpful. However, the room was uncomfortable because the AC and refrigerator were too loud.
- 5/5
Walk to pier for food and tours, walk to China town, Ghirardelli, etc…. Of course depending on your walking capability. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
Staff mariana was great.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful when we were not sure where to eat or find transportation.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Close to the waterfront
- 4/5
We really love Caza and stay her several times a year because of the spacious, clean rooms, super nice pool area, and especially the proximity to North Beach and the wharf. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, always eager to please too! The one drawback is that even though you’re paying a hefty resort fee, you don’t really get many amenities in the room like a coffee maker or refrigerator, which is typically standard and most hotels these days! The rooms just feel sparse and there is no on-site food or beverage except early morning and early evening. Other than that, it’s the perfect place for us so we may do and bring our own supplies. Overall, it is a really nice place and we will continue to visit.
- 4/5
Great overnight in San Francisco with kids
- 3/5
Room wasn’t as up to date as it should have been for the price. Pool was underwhelming
- 4.5/5
The sink at room 541 was clog
- 4/5
Pool was small and not as warm as expected. Rest of the facilities were great. Parking was expensive, when street parking is free after 7pm.
- 5/5
Pool was nice. The breakfast was nothing special.
- 1.5/5
Location Filthy
- 4/5
Pros: Great location for exploring the Wharf And Ghirardelli Square. Clean establishment. Good for families. Lots of great cafes/restaurants nearby. Several game options in downstairs lobby. Cons: No restaurant on site and the food they have for grab n go wasn’t fresh. Rooms on the backside of the building have a view of a crusty alley (for a week, we stared at a silk shirt and shoe that had been tossed on the roof of the neighboring building’s dumpster enclosure) and that same alley can get noisy.
- 2/5
Noisy as hell, room was clean, room staff was rude to my Wife. I listened to the conversation and it was not my Wife. This place is trying to do alot with underpaid or poor staff. Not a nice experience overall
- 4.5/5
Great design, awesome location, lots of fun amenities and super friendly and helpful staff Price seemed high for what it offered. Didn’t provide a free breakfast
- 4.5/5
Comfort: The beds were really comfortable and the room surprisingly quiet. The coffee was good. Entertainment: The common areas and extra activities - we had to wait for our flight and the pool and fusbal tables were a fun way to spend a couple of hours. The fitness center was well equipped and everything in working order! Staff: everyone was friendly and professional. The resort fee was a little surprising despite all the benefits it brings in but there was value.
- 5/5
Great staff. Loved the milk and cookies at night
- 5/5
The front desk personnel are excellent, specially Vanessa; great customer service and prompt to assist to our enquiries. I would recommend this facility to friends and family!
- 5/5
Great place for families. Great game room to keep kids busy. Walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
There was plenty of seating near the pool! Clam rooms, the staff were so friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and welcoming. My kids enjoyed the heated pool and games in the lobby. It was close to Fisherman’s Wharf and the cable cars.
- 4/5
We stayed in a double queen room on the second floor facing the back alley, where 6 large trash containers were kept. A truck and workers made a lot of noise with the trach cans around 6 am for 2 of the 6 nights we stayed. Other than that, the hotel is clean, staff is very helpful, and the playroom and nightly milk and cookie offering is great for families with kids. I'd recommend trying to book a room facing the front. Didn't try the pool, it wasn't warm enough out in early April.
- 5/5
Great location, clean rooms, fun amenities (pool table, corn hole). We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
No coffee in the rooms. Both of our rooms had small refrigerators, which were helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable Are the highlight was the outdoor pool. It sits in an area where you can get direct California sunlight. A rarity in San Francisco. Hotel was extremely accommodating to a few of my requests. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Our room didn’t include an ironing board like the second room we reserved but we didn’t end up needing it, and I’m sure it would have been provided if requested. The lobby also features several games, which are a nice touch for passing the time.
- 5/5
Internet was spotty, but the best customer service they have a great system so close to all great food sight seeing and so much more I will go back
- 4/5
We didn't like that there wasn't a coffee maker or a microwave in our room unless we wanted to pay extra. That seems crazy to me!
- 5/5
Great location, walking friendly to Fisherman’s wharf & attractions. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Terrace in room is glassed in & over the street. Great for natural light & people watching.
- 5/5
Great family hotel, easy to walk to the pier. Only downside to our trip was one of the days card keys for the room were not functioning and the beds feel more like full size than queen. Would definitely come back if bringing kids with us.
- 5/5
Great hotel with fun lobby activities for kids. Location was unbeatable for a fun day of touring the city.
- 5/5
Location was amazing and the staff was super great to work with! Paying $75 to park sucks! Thats a lot!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and the location was fantastic!
- 5/5
Very central to so many attractions. Fisherman’s wharf was less than 10min walk. Walgreens is just up the street. They give Oreo cookies with milk every night. I was able to send a complimentary postcard to a friend in NJ they paid the postage! We booked a Alcatraz tour the next day after check out and we were able to leave our car parked there until 6pm. My husband had medication that needed to be stored in a fridge and the front desk helped store it. The vintage bus stop to get to pier 33 Embarcadero was just a few steps away. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. We would definitely come back!!
- 5/5
Great location near pier
- 5/5
Elevators noisy. Bathroom & room gets stuffy due to no fan for showers, but the AC works great & clears it out.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Location was amazing. About 5 blocks away from Fisherman wharfs. Tons of food places within walking distance. Family and pet friendly.
- 4/5
Location cleanliness The water pressure in shower
- 3/5
The room has a huge window that looks out to nothing but the graffitied building next door. The alleyway is very noisy with trash trucks early in the morning. The location is very good. Would only stay here again if there was a room with a better view available.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and the location and amenities were perfect!
- 1/5
I truly thaught the place was a rip off the amount you pay is ridiculously high for what is offered too many hidðèn prices

- 5/5
Nice pool could if been warmer
- 5/5
Fantastic! Walkable to Fisherman’s Wharf / Pier 39 / Pier 33 / Lombard St. Amazing setup in the lobby with games galore!
- 5/5
We loved every bit of our stay at Hotel Caza. The rooms were clean. All the staff we encountered were friendly and kind! The Location sold us and we would happily book here again!
- 3.5/5
Nice staff, clean room, great location. Easy to commute. Smell of cigarettes and Marijuana coming through vents in bathroom. Fire alarm blaring on our last day 2 times scary for the children. No included breakfast and staff didn't show up for the cooked breakfast.
- 4/5
Our room view was a garbage corner (that was not on the Expedia picture) and the street noise sometimes was horrible, they should have noise cancelling windows. I could hear the garbage truck at 7am, it woke me up.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Courteous and happy. Helpful w local attractions. Rooms were clean, beds comfy. Perfect location-quiet but close to the action
- 5/5
Clean and nice hotel very close to pier , lombardo street , good ubicacion!
- 3/5
“Heated pool” is a lie. Unless u mean that it’s heated by the sun. Pool was very very cold.
- 3/5
Of men in hoodies walking around randomly in the Underground parking area as we parked there. They had walked down the ramp after we drove down and were not heading to any particular vehicle. This felt unsafe so we parked outside parking lot.
- 5/5
Breakfast was put away early- should leave this out for purchase longer- also no fridge in the room unless you paid for it/ this should be included in all rooms
- 5/5
Clean, good security, lighting, & location.
- 5/5
This property is clean, affordable and located within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf as well as Cobb's Comedy Club (which is why we stayed).
- 5/5
My husband and I had a great one night stay here! Great safe location in Fisherman's Wharf, it was an easy walk to Cobb's Comedy Club to see the legendary Kevin Smith! Room was big and very clean, bathroom was cute with a nice size tub. The receptionist that checked us in was so sweet and friendly too! We look forward to coming back
- 5/5
Thank you, we had a lovely stay at Caza Hotel. Everyone was helpful.
- 3/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 113, the mattress and pillows NEED TO BE CHANGED. PLEASE! Especially the mattress and 3 out of the 4 pillows closest to the window and A/C unit. The mattress just buckles in the center and the right side edge near the bedside table. Didn’t get a chance to tell the front desk because we left really early every morning and returned late.
- 5/5
Would stay here again Staff very accommodating Room clean Great area
- 1/5
Not much fresh food. Packaged in wraps like airplanes. For the price I expect better food to buy. Very nice pool. Worried about chlorine levels being too high. I wish they would tell us when the chlorine levels are checked. Nice and warm pool! Good umbrellas and all. Perfect pool area. Nice bar. Good staff. Just not “nice enough” in rooms and bathroom. Needs to update and etc.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff and clean room made the experience so good for the money you spent
- 5/5
All was good. Would have liked a grab bar in the shower. The ac blew directly onto the bed. It was cold so a lever or something to redirect the ac air would be helpful.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 2/5
Stained blanket no room service after 2pm and any help from front desk takes forever and unprofessional security guards just standing next to the guest and eyeing you
- 3/5
Stuff was amazing. Only three stars because the room wasn’t a clean as it should be for the cost. And it needs some updating because even the shower curtains were old and frayed. Corners of the room where the carpets are you could see where dirt and dust were gathering and they’re not being cleaned regularly. While the area isn’t close to fisherman’s wharf, and Ghirardelli’s square, and you expect some noise from maybe people walking around, but you definitely don’t expect all of the loud vehicles from the work being done around it so there was no way for me to sleep throughout the night.
- 5/5
The young lady at the front desk was very polite, helpful and welcoming. Very clean.perfect location walking distance to a lot of things. Game room was great and fun
- 5/5
Extremely clean. Even carpet was spotless (white sox left white by end of visit). Excellent experience overall.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were super clean and updated. Cleaned every day, something that seems to have dissipated over the years at other hotels. Great area for kids to play and adults to grab a drink. Customer service excellent, location great, very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Good fam fun
- 5/5
Staff was great.
- 2/5
I wasn’t aware of the resort fees that were still owed at check in. The staff tried to get an additional payment from my second room at check out even though I paid for both at check in. I bought snacks for my daughter in the lobby and then discovered they were expired. There was no water available in the vending machines. The room was very noisy (street noise, slamming doors).
- 2/5
When I made the reservation amenities as advertised showed a coffee maker and a mini refrigerator in the room when I got there i was told if i needed a refrigerator the cost is $25.00 per stay. and the coffee maker was free i did not agree with the extra fee being charged for the refrigerator, but I had no choice i was already there. the net thing was for a hold of $100.00 per night on my credit card this is a shameful practice i have stayed at hotels that are more prestigious and never had such a high hold on my credit card. anyway, my stay is over i am back in New York and never ever again will i stay or recommend the Caza.
- 4/5
Room was really great. Large, clean, pretty. Place not huge on amenities in room tho. No cofee maker or microwave. Cofee available downstairs but if your in a room ending in low numbers, its a hike.
- 2/5
Our two queen room with a city view was clean, but that's where the good review ends. The mattress was old & had very little support, the heating unit made popping and cracking noises whenever it ran, the TV glitched to the point that we had to simply unplug it and watch TV on our phones. We were there during a 4-day rain storm, and the windows rattled in the wind. But by far the biggest problem was the rain overflowing the roof, cascading down three floors and landing on our windows and AC making it impossible to sleep. It was so loud!
- 5/5
Our room was clean and staff was very attentive and nice. The hotel was ideally located, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. We will be coming back and recommending Hotel Caza to friends and family.
- 5/5
Location was great. Staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Facilities were clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything stood out it was clean and spacious and quiet for the most part.
- 5/5
Great location. Beautiful hotel with spacious room and good amenities
- 5/5
As always amazing!!
- 5/5
spacious spotless room and great gym
- 5/5
Excellent experience plus free coffee.
- 5/5
Great location to see SF on foot. Plenty to do and see all within a 2-3 walking distance and easy access to public transportation when venturing further out. Basic room with everything you need. Kind, courteous staff. Plenty of communal area in lobby to work, chat or grab a drink
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
The staff makes u feel like family and u matter
- 4/5
Staff was really nice and accommodating. Room was clean
- 2/5
Room was not well maintained. Window was opening towards wall.
- 2/5
My leg hit an exposed metal mattress holder . An emergency room trip required gluing my skin on my 3+ inch gap. Stitches would have been 10.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean. The location was great and the staff was helpful. Will definitely stay again if we are in that area.
- 5/5
Location was perfect, hotel checking was a breeze, staff was very helpful. Will stay here again!
- 2/5
The room was nice but there was no refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave. We love our coffee in the mornings. Location was very good.
- 5/5
Great location and wonderful customer service. We stayed for new years and it was close to the fireworks but still quiet.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and great staff.
- 5/5
All the above plus convenient location
- 5/5
They treat you so well almost as if they take time to know you I go there almost every weekend for work and they great me like a friend would they hands down are the best
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the free bike rides on Fisherman's Wharf, and it was very helpful that the cable car was only a couple of blocks away. Great price, for a great hotel!
- 5/5
Clean room, Staff was very courteous, accommodating. We had an issue with bath tub stopper, guest service was quick to respond and also kind enough to accommodate my request to change room with an upgrade. Overall a great experience!!!
- 4/5
Room was clean, location was good. Very nice stay. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room without having to rent one.
- 5/5
Great location given the busy area, the room was quiet at night which was nice. Room and common areas were clean and the free coffee in the morning was nice. The gym was also spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable as well. Staff was great and helpful when I had trouble with the self-check in machines.
- 5/5
Helpful friendly staff.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing very helpful and courteous would highly recommend and very close to fisherman’s wharf and many other location
- 5/5
This is my go-to place in SF. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and many offer great views. It is a short walk to Pier 39, and many fun things to do. The most important thing about this hotel is that the staff is beyond the beyond for pleasantness. They are some of the nicest people I have ever come across.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent - very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and they even have a bathtub to soak your tired feet after a day of walking around.
- 5/5
All was great
- 5/5
Extremely happy with out stay at Caza!!
- 1/5
I have asked for a receipt repeatedly and they still haven’t sent it
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Updated and nice location!
- 5/5
Great location, clean friendly staff and facilities for all the family
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice and clean! The location of the hotel is so perfect for all the things you want to do!! You could walk to everything! The people were very nice and helpful. But I did not enjoy checking myself in and getting my own key made for my room. I especially DIDN’T like the LIGHT that came on in the middle of the night whenever anyone got up to use the bathroom!! It was terrible and so bright!!
- 5/5
The front desk Maria was awesome! I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Clean, sleek, and incredible customer service
- 4/5
good
- 5/5
Staff and rooms wete excellent. Would definitely stay there again
- 3/5
The property does not have central air. Consequently, the hallways and rooms are always cold. The room is equipped with a very noisy heater from the olden days, not convenient during sleeping time.
- 5/5
I have an opinion here and I think I always come back here. Let me add it is practical and delivered on my requirements.
- 5/5
I liked this place. It was practical and close to the areas I had to work from. The car park was easy to use and later I probably will use apps to park at.
- 1/5
Mice infested hotel and staff did nothing to make things better
- 2/5
Amenities were terrible for such an expensive hotel!!
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 5/5
The whole experience- with one caveat- was excellent. Clean rooms, fun lobby, courteous staff- all great. My caveat? Was we stayed overnight on a Tuesday and approximately 5 AM I believe on the far side of the building was trash pick up day on Wednesday and it was the noisiest, most raucous and long lasting trash pick up event ever. I will never stay on that side of the building on a Tuesday overnight again.
- 4/5
Clean room, very friendly staff and great location
- 5/5
great staff
- 5/5
There were some trash cans out side and I could here them slamming the doors on them all night long
- 5/5
The customer service was excellent and all staff were extremely accommodating. The location is great, but the service is what will make us come back to Caza anytime we are in San Francisco!
- 4/5
Great location and great staff
- 3/5
Unfortunately the fire alarm went off through the entire hotel with no explanation at 10pm. When we all got to the lobby, just was told we could go back to our rooms, was it a false alarm orrrr…..? Water pressure was awful, barely a trickle and the body wash was broken and unusable. The rooms were tidy and they tuned down your room daily which was nice (great housekeeping staff). Although not a terrible experience, we most likely will go with another hotel on our next stay.
- 3/5
The room doesn’t have refrigerador and coffee maker
- 5/5
Location is excellent
- 5/5
Loved the atmosphere, vibes and proximity to the best places to see on Piers
- 3/5
There are many hidden fees not disclosed when booking this hotel.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
We loved it at the Caza!! We could not enjoy the pool due to inclement weather but everything else was great! The huge lobby with complimentary coffee in the morning and games, the cleanliness, the politeness of the entire staff. All at very reasonable prices!
- 3/5
There was annoying ticking sound coming from AC/heater all night from the three rooms that we booked. We couldn’t really sleep well. Location was good. It was close to restaurants.
- 3/5
Small room. Noisy. Need update carpet
- 3/5
Very disappointing
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay as visitors for 4 days and very convenient location for a lot of attractions nearby. Very helpful and courteous front desk team.
- 5/5
Bed super comfy
- 5/5
Free coffee and tea. Friendly staff is the greatest thing
- 5/5
Great hotel, friendly staff and clean rooms
- 5/5
Would definitely recommend.
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. One issue, My family and I don’t smoke and a few time we smell weed in the hallways. I know they can not do anything about people smoking outside but to someone who does not smoke it stinks.
- 4/5
Nice view. Disappointed there was no in room coffee.
- 4/5
Clean Room, friendly staff.
- 5/5
This is a large five-story hotel a block (or two) from the waterfront with the various wharfs. It is a safe and easy walk to the entire waterfront. There are many places to eat in the area. The hotel has a very, very large lobby area. Also, it represents a great value.
- 5/5
Stay was great. Wish parking was included.
- 5/5
Friendly a d acomidating staff. Clean well serviced rooms..! Easy walk to the front. Only ine coffee for one night
- 5/5
Excellent stay and great location!
- 4/5
Nice staff, cozy beds, not a lot of amenities and not as clean as it could be, but we were hardly in our room.
- 5/5
As always treated like a princess with this hotel
- 5/5
Comfortable beds and great location. Safe and secure parking.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and always available when needed. Good location close to restaurants and accessible walking.heated pool is great.
- 5/5
Other hotels serves breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice hotel!
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
Only one night. Hip but lack of information. Very very low staff attendance to welcome and help customers. Overall, not satisfied.
- 5/5
Great location, room was great, bed and pillows were comfortable, nice soaps shampoos and lotions. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating (Julien). Great Bar with a really nice bartender. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Employees were great. The only issue is on your site it says they have a restaurant on the premise. The restaurant hasnt been opened since Covid. All the have is vending food
- 5/5
We stay here a lot, great place and safe.
- 3/5
The staff were very friendldy and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room was nice. The bathtub was pretty damaged with the bottom flaking off and being very rough. There was a rust stain from the overflow drain going down the side of the tub and the plug wouldnt go down so it wouldnt fill up with water. This all meant I couldn't take a bath and a shower wasn't the best experience due to the rough tub bottom. The location was great and the view was very nice. Just disappointed that I couldn't take a bath when I specifically searched for a hotel that had buthtubs.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient and the people in the front desk is very nice .
- 5/5
My fave Hotel in SF.
- 4/5
When I got there I was told the room that I booked was not available. Was giving another room instead. The property has a game area which was fun to play as a family.
- 5/5
The hotel had a game room, and we played pool. The staff were exceptional. The location was amazing. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
We felt the room was clean and the staff was fantastic, but honestly, the room was a bit tired. Seems to be time for a refresh. The bathtub had a lot of chips in it and did not drain - barely at all.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff friendly, it it greatly located and easy access to everything.
- 5/5
Clean property, nice staff, great location.
- 5/5
Todo excelente
- 3/5
I don’t understand why people recommend this hotel. I It’s too expensive for the quality and service. There’s no breakfast, just grab and go stuff. When we checked in the front desk man told us: “Because you are our VIP (or something like that) customer, we give you a room with a city view (mind you, that what we booked, with the city view). As u see on a picture our room was facing some kind of roof. Horrible. There was a hair in the shower on a shampoo bottles and even after they cleaned the room it was still there. No coffee machine nor bottled water in the room, not even for purchase. I only give 3 stars because of location.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Super responsive to our needs and always friendly. My grandsons loved the pool and games. Great location.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and it was a great location.
- 4/5
Not very quiet, street was very loud outside our room, parking expensive, otherwise everything else was fine
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel was very close to most of the fun and popular activities in S.F. Only complimentary coffee was available
- 5/5
Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. Lots of activities for the kids and everyone was really friendly. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
All good. Thanks.

This property is conveniently located near pier 39 and many other amenities, it’s all one needs to see San Francisco on foot. The staff is great, very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful stay!
- 3/5
However, this stay was ruined by the location of our room. It was on the first floor and EXTREMELY noisy all night. Heater/AC didn’t really work right despite setting the thermostat to a comfy 70 deg, we were roasting. Turned it off and it was still unbearably hot. But really it was the outside noise that I just couldn’t overcome. I think this is the first time we’ve had to stay in the first floor and I’ll def make it a point to request anything but the first floor when we return.

Ive stayed at the Hotel Caza multiple times both in recent years and previously when it was a Holiday Inn, mainly for the location and its good value for money. I was on the 4th floor (im not sure what you have to do to get the 5th floor nowadays) and apart from slightly noisy neighbours and kids the room was excellent though don't expect a view if you're on the one side. Room was cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly and efficient apart from one woman working the bar who seemed more interested in showing videos on her phone than serving. The lobby and cafe area are spacious and clean. Great location (North Beach/ Fisherman's Wharf).and decent value for money. Dog and child friendly.

Very safe, walkable, quiet, awesome staff.
- 5/5
Convenient location, nice game corner, friendly staff, decent room.
- 4/5
The room was great, with professional customer service. That $21 continental breakfast was definitely up to par... Pancakes the size of a (silver dollar) are not worth $21. I thought a continental breakfast was complimentary?? The area was excellent, with a great walking distance to the piers.
- 5/5
The staff assisted me greatly as I was there for a medical stay. They were kind enough to help me box all of my belongings and get them to UPS for shipping since I was not capable of traveling home
- 4/5
Very fun game room for the whole family and friends! Free coffee and morning convenience store was very useful. Very good location.
- 5/5
Spotless large room, huge lobby, extremely welcoming front desk staff, nice location.
- 5/5
Excellent

Room was exceptionally clean. Housekeeping cleaned room daily which is unusual these days. Really appreciated the service.

The room was clean and refreshed with clean towels / bed made etc on a daily basis which was lovely. We

Clean and good size
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and helpful. When we checked in I was disappointed to hear my reserved room had a king bed so the front desk staff gave me a room with two queen beds. We were pleased with the amenities such as pool table, shuffle board and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels I’ve been too.
- 5/5
Fantastic stay! 😊
- 4/5
Well maintained property with clean rooms and nice staff.

Everything was within walking distance The hotel was old, but very, very clean The parking lot was excellent

We requested an early check in and were accommodated. We never had to ask for our room to be cleaned and the general vibe is probably the coolest place we’ve stayed at. Everyone was absolutely wonderful
- 3/5
I think charging $21 for a continental breakfast is a gouge. The pastries did not look appealing at all. The bar was charging $4 USD for can of pop but $1.50 in the vending machine (why?). Charging extra for a coffee machine and a fridge seems ridiculous to me, usually items that are complimentary, especially with a resort fee. A nice hotel overall, but was sick of being nickel and dimed.
- 5/5
One tip, leave milk out for coffee! Ciffe was great but creamer packs are gross! Highly recommend staying here. Walked to everything. Once again, clean!!!

I would have liked to know the hotel add on fees and parking fees before hand to prepare for those costs.
- 4/5
Everything was worthwhile from the multiple options to do while staying in the hotel, to cleanliness, and check-in/check-out perks. Only issue we had was with the plugs underbthe radio and the light plug. They did not work so we had to charge phones in the bathroom outlet .
- 4/5
Nice hotel with clean rooms and facilities. Great location with bus stops nearby and walking distance to Pier 39. Friendly staff. Family friendly. Overall a great stay. Thank you!
- 5/5
Great location. Comfortable bed. Clean.

Clean, convenient hotel. Great location. Friendly staff.

Womderful
- 5/5
Didn’t know about the free breakfast
- 5/5
Overall good hotel walking distance to touristy places.
- 5/5
This is such a beautiful hotel. It’s super close to everything, the pier is a walking distance, the staff were super nice and accommodating. The rooms were squeaky clean and beautiful. My overall experience here was a 10/10! I would definitely come and stay here in the near future.
- 1/5
Microwave your own breakfast burrito? It felt like a family hostel more than a hotel. They took more than they should have for a holding deposit and didn't refund the hold until after my time in the city. loc
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel were excellent. Kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location, lovely rooms, and incredibly friendly staff.

The room was clean and comfortable

I stayed at this hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf with my dad after a long day of traveling, hoping for a comfortable night’s rest. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible from the moment we checked in. The room was extremely cold, and the heater was completely broken. I called the front desk right after checking in around 8 PM, and they said they would send an engineer to fix it. Instead, they only sent up two thin, itchy blankets and no one ever came to repair the heater. I couldn’t sleep all night because I was freezing and ended up giving both blankets to my dad so he could stay warm. To make matters worse, the next morning at 8:30 AM, the front desk called asking if they could come fix the heater — even though we were checking out that morning. After such a miserable night, it’s unbelievable they would want to wake my dad just to fix a problem that should have been handled the night before. We paid almost $300 for the room plus $44 for parking, which is outrageous considering street parking was free due to government closures, and we parked right in front of the hotel anyway. This is supposed to be a nice hotel, but our experience was the complete opposite. Cold, uncomfortable, and poor service. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
It was a really nice room and easy access to areas that me and my partner enjoy. The price is good for the area. Of all the places, this is one of my favorites.
- 3/5
The rooms were clean but really thats all you get. No fridge or coffee in the room. Also you have to log into your own Netflix if you want to watch tv. On the plus side the hotel is walking distance to alot of tourists attractions. Like pear 39, china town, fishermans warf.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, comfy beds, safe to walk around and close to many restaurants and piers.
- 2/5
Get water in the rooms, and a coffee maker- cleaning staff is incredible front desk is mediocre, bar staff is terrible.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Excellent location
- 5/5
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Staff was awesome location was great for things in and around the fisherman’s wharf, walking distance. This was our second time we stayed at the Caza and both times it was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!
- 3/5
The $31 destination fee should be termed a resort fee that would be charged to our account. It doesn't specifically state that we would be charged that amount. I read it as optional. It should be stated - "You will be charged a resort fee of $31 that would include ..."
- 5/5
Slow wifi. The staff was very welcoming. The breakfast coffee was great. Alina was very helpful and awesome getting tickets to Alcatraz.
- 5/5
Convenient location! Quick walk to main attractions including docks to where sea lions are. Hospitable staff, clean and safe. I highly recommend!
- 5/5
Afterwards the staff just changed our keys
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay visiting San Francisco, I wasn’t woken once by outside traffic inside normal sleeping hours unlike other areas of the city, very clean rooms, extremely comfortable bed, glad I chose to stay here.
- 4/5
Great location! Nice amenities. We had the hardest time getting what we needed from the hotel staff though! Never had enough towels or coffee. Would ask for them at the desk and they would promise to send them up… and just never did. I would end up going down to get them. If it happened once or twice I wouldn’t mind. But I ended up going to the front desk every single day of our 5 night stay.
- 4/5
Very clean and great location especially if you need/want to be in Fisherman's Wharf area.
- 2/5
I didnt like staff and the timeliness of service. Getting service was difficult and took way too long. There was poor communication throughout.
- 5/5
Rooms are a nice size! The cleaning staff were incredible. It seemed every day they did a little bit extra. Was very pleased. Very close to fisherman’s wharf which is where a lot of your tourist spots are so being able to walk easily around was super convenient. A little noisy though at night (outside not inside) but comes with the touristy area I think. Security was always present. Doors locked at night. Happy with our stay!
- 3/5
The hotel was lovely, perfectly located and nice staff, but i do feel i was over charged as i was quoted a price wheb i booked it and was charged approximately 300 dollars more for a 3 nights stay which was very disappointing as it clearly stated one price stating it included fees and taxes but when we went to check in ot was more money, we have done a road trip across America and this happened for our last hotel which was upsetting.
- 4/5
Staff were nice, and helpful. The location is ideal.
- 4/5
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Caza! The location is fantastic — close to Fisherman’s Wharf, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring San Francisco really easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well designed, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel felt relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and always happy to help with recommendations or directions. We especially appreciated the fun touches like the games area and complimentary coffee in the lobby. Overall, a great place to stay for families or anyone wanting to enjoy the best of San Francisco. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff. We normally stay at the Marriott Vacation Club a few doors down, however, the properties we have stayed at in the past, were not available for our needs. The Caza fit the bill to a T! We were early for our checkin, however, had our rooms been ready, we had the option to check in at that time. Our luggage was stored and ready for us so that by noon, we were able to check in.
- 4/5
Service minded staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Nice location. Felt like they were trying best for customers. Thank you.
- 3/5
Has hidden fees of $50 dollar more per night when you arrive
- 5/5
Everything was excellent! Clean, nice lobby with bar, seating, game room and snacks (pricy). Security with card chips to work front door and elevator is a plus. Our room was close to elevator so I could hear it but it did not keep me awake. Staff was helpful. The tub in our room had a little of the porcelain worn off the edges. That was the only thing I saw that looked run down. All else was fantastic!! We enjoyed the close walk to Fisherman's Wharf. We recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
All was ok . Great location, room and staff.
- 3/5
Mediocre for the price. Tub was dirty. Btoken coffee pot. I expected more quality for the price.Good location.
- 5/5
I appreciate the clean facilities and the game area. I experienced an earthquake on the morning of check out and though it wasn’t a heavy quake, I felt safe.
- 4/5
There were definitely more staff needed as the reception desk was always busy and there were many people waiting in line. Overall, we were happy with the stay here.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel - staff were excellent - rooms were nice although the single glazing made the outside seem inside !
- 5/5
Thanks!
- 5/5
Convenient location friendly staff
- 3/5
Location was good, but we received a long list of why we were paying an extra “resort fee” and things like even the water stations did not work….you want a fridge, coffee maker etc that should be standard and here they all cost extra even though you pay a $46/ night “resort fee”
- 4/5
It was a nice location. Close to everything. It would be nice to have everything included in the price rather than it be add on after add on.
- 5/5
The hotel was great. Close to everything! Recommend 100%
- 3/5
First of all, parking is $75usd per day!!! Which is outrageous, we have booked a room for 4 adults to share, they only provided 3 towels, and when the roomwasmade up a couple days later, they again only provided 3 towels. There is no in room fridge or coffee maker, you have to pay an additional fee for those. We were excited for the shuffle board, but there was not a drop of sand! So we couldnt play. My mom needed a bandaid for a blister,so we went to the front desk, they apparently had no bandaids! I remember reading another review about their milk and cookies and they were fresh baked chocolate chip, but that has since changed, everyday it was oreos! The cheapest cookie out there. And they were out of milk everytime we looked. Rooms were comfortable, and the location was great.
- 5/5
Rooms were great. No refrigerators which is a bummer because the food in that area is amazing and we had leftovers. Staff was incredible. Great pool and lobby area. The location was just perfect for us. Only had to use our vehicle for a day trip to San Jose. We walked everywhere else we went. Will stay here again!!

Great place to stay for leisure or business.

Horrible
- 5/5
very nice place to stay
- 3/5
Wi-Fi: Surprisingly solid. Water: Instead of bottles, they give you pouches and expect you to go refill them. Seriously? Fees: Everything has a price — water, Keurig, microwave, fridge, parking. Good thing I didn’t ask for oxygen — might’ve been extra too.
- 4/5
I don’t like to leave negative feedback but this was bad. The young lady at the desk when I checked in greeted me with: ID? Not hello or welcome just one word! It was simply rude unlike anything I’d ever experienced in 40 years of travel. Room and bathroom were clean and modern, but partial ocean view is a joke! There was 90% view of the building next door and a tiny sliver of ocean. Bed was hard and pillows were flat. Our 5th story room was somehow very noisy with all kinds of street noise. Lobby and hallways were very hot! About the only good thing about this hotel was the walkable location to Fisherman’s Wharf. Not worth the price!
- 5/5
This is an excellent hotel near all of the Bay Area attractions. The quality of the property is extremely high and the hotel offered additional amenities like electric scooters for free. A great choice if you’re looking to visit the Bay.
- 2/5
No Ice Bucket, No Refrigerator, Bathroom light was on a "timer" it went out while I was in the shower!! Major SAFETY ISSUE.. along with the Tub floor not having a Mat or traction.. Major Safety Issue! ... the bathroom only had lights around the mirror,Bathroom "Dark", need overhead light... to dark to shave... not worth the money! ...when you have a Marriot across the street.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was very clean and located in an ideal place. We felt safe in the hotel.
- 5/5
Quite literally the only problem I had was the bartender was terrible. Rude and had an attitude. The rest of the staff and hotel was fantastic
- 1/5
The room was described as a partial bay view, not a glimpse of water to be seen, staff then claimed that other buildings were too tall and this hotel was only 5 stories, hence no view, that’s a reason? Deceptive room description. Also requested extra pillows 4 times, still waiting. Would not recommend.

It was really nice. Comfortable and close to activities.

Convenience

I have stayed at Hotel Caza a few times before. It is my "go to" motel in SF when I visit my daughter and son-in-law there. Once again everything was great. Vanessa was friendly accommodating and helpful at checkout. She informed me I could leave my car in the lot until 6:00 check out day, a great help.
- 5/5
Friendly, kid friendly hotel. We loved the arcade room and kept our kids busy. Great location and walking distance to many areas.
- 5/5
Loved the location, clean rooms. Water pressure in the shower was not so great.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful with everything. Area feels safe with a couple of restaurants across the street. They have a nice game area and serve free basic coffee and team. They stored our luggage till our flight left. Thank you!
- 4/5
The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it says it has a restaurant on site. There is no restaurant.
- 5/5
Completely amazing hotel!!!! Extremely comfortable beds. Great rain shower. Even cookies & milk before bed. Wonderful, friendly staff to help you if needed. Near lots of attractions. 3 blocks to fisherman’s wharf.
- 5/5
This was great for families. We saw the sights during the day and enjoyed the game lounge with other travelers in the evening. Loved the area. So accessible.
- 5/5
Walking distance to tourist sites.

Location, cleanliness, and staff
- 5/5
We love this place.
- 1/5
Terrible stay and when I expressed this to the hotel they just gave excuses
- 4/5
I expected a bar in the shower and a small coffee pot in the room. Other than that it was nice.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Loved the game room. Super safe area, clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, free cookies and milk!!
- 4/5
Additional charge of $25 for refrigerator and 10$ for Keurig. No complimentary anything. Very lean hotel. The housekeeping is spotless.
- 5/5
The property location was perfect. Could walk to Fisherman's Warf and Lombard St. I especially liked the milk and cookies in the evening!
- 5/5
Good.
- 4/5
Stayed here with my husband and our friends for my 40th. The location was great, walkable, rooms spacious and comfortable. Not much counter space in washroom though. Friendly check in and check out. Breakfast wasn’t what I expected, pre-made warm in a microwave sandwiches and wraps, but decent
- 4/5
Great location and very friendly staff!
- 5/5
Great hotel, would recommend and stay again!!
- 5/5
Location!
- 5/5
Had to stay extra night had no trouble reserving the night.
- 5/5
This hotel is our go to place when visiting San Francisco due to many pros. First of all, convenient walkable location, easy self parking, cozy atmosphere, super close to breakfast places, buffet/bar, vending machines. However, because the rooms are carpeted, being located in a humid area, the rooms lack the sense of freshness, cleanliness. Plus our bathroom looked like it wasn’t properly cleaned, with hair around our toilet seat. Overall, it is a good place to stay when visiting SF.
- 5/5
Perfect location! And love the added game room
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
This hotel is perfectly situated near all the Fisherman's Wharf attractions, plenty of dinning, easy walking distance to most things, and right on a bus line (including being the #2 stop on the Big Bus Hop On/Hop Off line).
- 5/5
Center to the Wharf. I like room credit for their bike hut worked to be 2 free hours
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
I love this place! The room is cozy and beautiful, service is nice!
- 5/5
Housekeeping was wonderful (asked for extra towels once and she remembered every day) The room was made up so nicely each time we returned for the evening. All staff were so friendly with saying good morning and welcome back:) Front desk manager Julius provided 5* outstanding customer service, directions, suggestions and made our stay that much better. Would return and will recommend to others. Thank you for a great stay!
- 4/5
The food options to purchase were quite expensive
- 5/5
The staff go above and beyond in friendliness and helpfulness, across the board. From check-in to breakfast to bar to check-out, each person was friendly, helpful, and a pleasure.
- 3/5
Location perfect but don't expect a 4-star lux and facility here.
- 5/5
Really surprised by quality of hotel. Staff very friendly. Location brilliant. Rooms cleaned every day. Well done to everyone.
