Ride up on your bike and take a bath (pool) or swim wasn’t what yeh pictures looked like! Asked the front desk if they just let anyone swim in the pool and they said”NO” but the pool is located out back and they have no way of knowing . The hotel was clean and nice no issues there!

The bed was pretty comfy. The cleanliness of the room is very questionable. The tub had hair, probably pubic hairs which is unacceptable. The room also smelled like fresh paint/varnish that made us dizzy and nauseous. I have stayed in cheaper hotels that were so much cleaner. The fitness room/gym, had very old machines from the nineties and the screens of both the elliptical and the stationary bike didn’t work at all. Also, the weight rack had only one dumbbell.. Very disappointing!

Older hotel - very convenient location. But isolated. Showing signs of wear and tear - especially in our room. Large crack in shower wall. Closet door chipped in multiple places. A bit of a smell in the room.

The motion sensor would not turn off and we had to ask the front desk to come and take care of it. He was as helpful as he could be but we ended up having to cover the sensor with a piece of paper from the desk. It was definitely less than ideal.

I really liked the attention, very good people and friendly. Its location is fantastic. I didn't like the smell of the carpets on the floor, their smell is too strong, it smells as if they had never cleaned the floor, we got the second floor.

Love the location and rooms. Have stayed here before and loved it! TV stations were totally messed up for 3 days. Rolling black out prevented one from getting into their room. A wedding reception was cancelled because of the black out and rescheduled for the next night. Parking lot was full, music was loud until after midnight. I don't begrudge a hotel wanting to book out a wedding reception but not at the expense of their paying guests.

There was only 1 person working at reception checking people in on a Saturday evening. I was 4th in line and it took 45 minutes for me to get checked in. There should've been more people working at the front and the check in process needs to be more efficient.

I do not like leaving terrible reviews but we had a horrible time. I haven’t had a terrible experience like this since before having kids but now travelling as a family, it was awful. There was a party going on in the hotel so it was really loud the elevators are old. The floor in which we stayed in smelled like weed as if people were just casually smoking up and down the hallway. Our room was very very dated. Make sure you bring your own cords and some of the outlets did not work. The room itself needed alot of work old carpets old cabinets. I’ll say the room was spacious tho and the bathroom was the only place that was remodeled. It was a very busy weekend as there were so many people in and out so I’m sure if I had asked for another room it wouldn’t matter. Overall won’t be staying again. I read ppl have enjoyed their stay here so maybe it was just our luck that day. Also not enough staff to accommodate the influx of customers checking in.

The room vibrated from the loud music. We called down asked to be moved they said they were fully booked. Went downstairs asked again to be moved. It wasn’t till the front desk guy came to the room and felt the loud noise that we got a moved to another room. Room was ok the faucet leaked water. Had motion sensor lights and they turned on when we moved while in bed!! Someone set the fire alarm as a prank around midnight, woke everyone up. Hotel is near a homeless housing complex and there was a homeless guy singing outside our room. Would not recommend this place. I would have left after the fire alarm was set off but it was a non refundable booking. Horrible experience

The room was clean, but needs to be updated. One pro point…The pillows were actually some of the best hotel pillows I’ve slept on. During the middle of the night before 11:00 pm, the smoke alarm went off for a few minutes. I tried calling the front desk, but the phone was not working properly. Another guest and I walked down to the front desk, where we were “casually” told it was a false alarm. The hotel agent did not offer an apology for our concerns. The next morning, I met a couple in the elevator who said they were told it was a false alarm because of the smoke machine used by a DJ from a party that night. I went to the front desk again and was casually told again that it was merely a false alarm. This was my first time staying at the La Hacienda. Unfortunately, I will not recommend staying here. Overall, I am giving a 2 star rating.

However, there was somebody at the front desk, and Robert mentioned that he gets about three complaints per week about this guy. I think his name is Shriam, in any case, he was horrible. Robert was super sweet and super kind and loaned me his lighter a couple of times. And this guy attacked me for asking Robert to borrow his letter, even though we had an established connection and relationship and he didn’t mind whatsoever. He also called me a racist. my wife is an Indonesian. A lot of my best friends are from Costa Rica, Japan, Kenya, Tanzania. I’m the least racist person in the world. This guy is just a jerk. And he has a serious attitude problem. And he needs to be fired. In fact if he’s not. You can expect a very very serious lawsuit. And even on biologist. I started a company in 2013 that’s not worth $120 million. So I can bring the fire.

The ac was not the best. I set the ac to the lowest temperature and it kicked in the following morning.

It’s is a good place to stay and affordable but the the guy checking in had a big attitude. But other then that it’s was a nice spot. don’t get there late because most of the spots get taken really fast

The place is a terrible hotel we rented two rooms here and the place was so dirty and run down dose not show this on pictures online the sheets were very nasty I would have left this place but they had took my deposit already for both rooms we did not like anything about it at all

This note is to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent reservation. Despite having a confirmed booking, I was informed upon arrival that the hotel was booked and the rooms I had booked were not available, forcing me to find alternate accommodations. During my brief time at the property, I witnessed severe mismanagement. The front desk was vastly understaffed, leaving a single employee overwhelmed by a long queue without any backup. The parking was full with no space for cars to be parked. Furthermore, I observed other guests experiencing significant issues, including being assigned dirty rooms or rooms that were already occupied. The current level of organization is unacceptable for a hotel. At the time of writing this note, I am still awaiting a resolution of my canceled booking and a refused refund.

Property is old and outdated relative to other accommodations. It is a depressing place and its easy to see why not very many guests were there. "What amenities? nearby restaurants are out of business. Staff is friendly and helpful. Decor in the building is dismal and long past due for a rehab. It's clean, but the dark wood cabinets in the room are depressing. Bathrooms are ready for updating as well but the plumbing works.

In my room, the adjustable height chair instantly sunk down and would not stay up so I could not work comfortably on my laptop at the desk (had to use those overstuffed pillows to make up the height). Can you imagine a hotel in silicon valley that has NO USB chargers in the room? Fortunately, I was able to charge my phone and watch one at a time from my laptop. The hotel sits next to a vacant restaurant and is isolated, so no restaurants or shops nearby, although I found great Mexican food not too far away (Luna).

The worst hotel experience ever!! I paid ~$750/night for a room which normally lists for $90/night, marked up for a congress in town. Very unfriendly staff. Room was 1-star level. Brown stains all over the inside of the bathroom door. Gross. I’ve seen bigger soaps in prisons! Staff never left the right number of towels or shampoo. Leaky ceiling on a main hallway with water puddled in a ceramic floor. Staff claiming not to be aware. This hotel should never be offered on Expedia. Despite the scandalous markup on the room, they asked for $50 for early check-in!!

The manager, Star, showed a complete lack of customer service. Instead of addressing concerns professionally, she spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if we were beneath her and did not know what I was talking about. That kind of attitude is unacceptable in hospitality. I would not recommend staying here if you expect basic courtesy and respect.

The room was neglected. No room service for the 4 days/3 nights we spent there. The internet was very bad.The desk chair which was black was so dirty, even I could not sit on it, with stains as old as forever.

We checked in, got our room 219. Walked into our room and none of the lights worked except the bathroom. The Gan and or heat lamp sounded like it was going to blow up. I had use the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush. They switched our room, was fine until I went to take a shower and there was no water yesterday at 4 pm as we had reservations at a nice restaurant! I was unable to shower until we got home around 10pm. Many other guests complained about the water and how dirty it was!!!!

The hotel was fine for what we needed. We were in San Jose for a block party and just needed a clean, affordable place to crash for the night. The lobby was nice and clean. The rooms and building are a bit outdated but still clean. The bed was soft and the pillows were fluffy, which made a big difference. The staff was professional, but could have been friendlier. Overall, a good option for the price in San Jose.

Seemed very dated and somewhat unsafe considering the location. Also noted that there is no signage on the hotel building - overall seemed very sketchy. However, the front desk ladies were VERY nice.

My room was very comfortable, and my request for an upper room away from the elevators was granted so I was thankful. However, the evening I checked in, the desk clerk was not the most friendly. After several hours in the car getting there after a long work day, it would have been refreshing to be greeted with kindness and a smile.

Bad smell in the room. Stains on the carpet. Poorly maintained. Stains on the curtains. We turned around and walked out without unpacking. Receptionist was reasonably pleasant but clearly annoyed. “Well, I can’t force you to stay here.” Duh!

It was a huge building right off the freeway. It was secluded with nothing around but offices that were closed. But down the street about 5 minutes you could find fast food and stores. The building was very old. The lobby was nicely decorated and cozy, and the guy who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The room was very old but it was decent. There was rust in the window seals, in the tub, and the view was of the back of the building of the trash bins and looked very dirty and stinky. The bed was comfy and clean and there was a tv, microwave and hot water worked fine. The only major disappointment was that our neighbors were partying all night long, and when they were done they then turned their speaker into a surround sound to play a war movie smh I think after hours they were finally told something because they lowered it but was still able to hear it clearly. We were only staying for one night so I didn’t want to be the one to complain and ruin someone’s fun but omg it was so loud and obnoxious.

I did not feel comfortable or safe staying in the room after that. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel, and this experience fell far below that standard.

I had stayed here before during Covid and wasn’t too bad now it sucks that I wouldn’t stay here again. They also don’t service breakfast and the restaurant across the way hasn’t been opened in a great while.

Did not have breakfast as advertised. Sports Bar promoted across street is also closed and boarded up. Barely any food / variety in pantry. Will not stay there again.

The lights in the parking lot don't work. Homeless were sleeping around the lot. The room smells. Hot tub was dirty. Fitness center was filthy and missing essentials. Ice machines were filthy. No bar or restaurant as advertised, no breakfast as advertised Nothing as advertised. Shouldn't have paps more then 60 for the stay.

They lie to get people it says it comes with breakfast but when you arrive they tell you no breakfast.

The whole place smelled like bleach and our room had cracks on the wall and bugs crawling all over the place. There were homeless people hanging around the hotel. We traveled with a group of people and everyone had the same experience. One family had water dripping from the ceiling. Another family had mold on the walls.

I’m not going to sugar coat this. This has been, by far, the WORST hotel experience of a lifetime. We are part of a traveling club, and we stay in a myriad of hotels with our entire team. The worst? Expedia refuses any part of a refund when the hotel is pretty much inhabitable. To be associated with this “hotel” is to be associated with poor reputation. 2 room changes in 2 nights due to a bug infestation is unacceptable. This is so shameful, I can’t even put into words.

Heard the gym equipment didn't work well. Homeless people were knocking in our doors at night which didn't make us feel safe. Air conditioner is old and now I'm sick. One of our kids had asthma issues and couldnt compete in the judo tournament we went up for probably cuz the air conditioner was so old. The lobby was nice but rooms are old and outdated. No restaurant and bar available like they advertised. It was conveniently located to our venue so that was great. A live cockroach was found in one of our rooms and water dripped in another. Gross!

I found 2 cockroaches in my room. I have photos to share. The hotel itself smells like bleach as clearly there is water damage and mold. All of the surrounding areas hotels were booked so I couldn’t find alternative options. My children are 8 and 9 and asthmatic and kept complaining about breathing in their room. We stayed mostly in the lobby area during our stay, other than that we avoided the hotel as much as possible.

I enjoy going to this hotel. The accommodations, friendly service,quiet and price were exceptional!! We asked for a shower repair and got it within hours.

1. I had a do not disturb sign on my door. I believe the staff came in my room while I was gone. 2. The faucet in my room sprayed all over the counter when turned on.

On the first night, I approached the front desk to ask about it, and the staff member told me there was nothing he could do because it was too late and housekeeping had already left. I then asked for clean towels, and at first he said he was too busy to help. I explained that I had no clean towels and was traveling with children, at which point he went to the back and brought out a couple, but not a full set as I requested. I found the lack of responsiveness and the dismissive attitude very disappointing. A basic level of service and courtesy was missing, which significantly impacted the comfort of my stay.

The room was nice but the room temp was at 79 degrees and it looked like they were programed not to go any lower in order to use the AC, we left it on while we went to a wedding and came back hours later and it was not cool, we left early the next morning, told the reception i wanted a quiet area and said not too busy, but still put us next to neighbor blaring his TV till Midnight., paid over $150 dollars and should get some kind of discount refund.

I chose this hotel based on the ratings. The lobby was very nice, clean and welcoming. Service desk person was not so warm and welcoming. The room looked clean and decent, but upon further inspection there was hair left by the toilet and in the bathtub. Visiable white water marks on the bathroom doors and walls that could be easily wiped off and clean. Bed was comfortable but the side of the hotel where my room was located were people in the parking lot talking loudly and camping out making it hard to sleep. Again, service desk person was not a "morning person" upon my check out.

We really were pleasantly surprised! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to visit our family.

Staff were all friendly, greeted us whenever they could; leaving cold water out for guests was a nice touch. Checkout was simple, we got everything that we paid for. I left my pillow behind and they were helpful in facilitating the return. I will add, however, that it seems like only one person was being helpful about it, bless her (Nicole).

I was disgusted during my stayed. The whole room smelled bad , dirty and stained carpet everywhere . There was blood stains which made me feel more disgusted. The floor in the bathroom was not swept or moped I couldn't sleep because the beds uncomfortable and my window views were a couple mobile homes with people living in it . I couldn't open the windows because there was no privacy ..

Our room had heavy black mold. I took photos and showed them to front desk. They did not move me or give me any compensation. When my third party reached out to them, they said they stay firm on their policy. They do not have a policy for this issue. I still have the photos. I have children they were willing to put at risk and not refund my stay.

Wasn't the cleanest, check in took a while even though front desk was not busy, $200 deposit is a little crazy for the hotel quality, the back emergency door was open and easy for anyone to access without any hotel keys. We didn't like that since our room was near it on the first floor. Didn't feel very safe.

After having a bad experience at the Motel6, I checked into La Hacienda and was overwhelmed about how much nicer it was, and didn’t cost much more than the afore mentioned; I was well greeted and had a very comfortable Quiet stay so, I plan to return on my next visit to San, Jose, California.

I checked in really late and it wasn't a problem. there is food semi close by about a 5 min drive... you can if you want but its a bit of a mission on foot.

I didn't like the bar soap because it was drying to my skin and one of the bath towels still had laundry detergent residue on it. Also the windowshade fell off because it was attached to duct tape.

Now for the bad...talk about the security. The back door by fhe exercise room was NEVER shut or locked and it seemed like every single time we went thru it transients were hanging around you go through the door and walk allit to the gate for the pool. The gate also didnt shut all of the way and anyone could go in there. The first time we wenf to check it out a lady was there with her 2 dogs running loose and she looked homeless. Now about the pool... the area was clean and they do a good job with that. But my husband works on pools and even i could tell something wasnt right jusf by looking at it. The spa was foggy and had a green tint to it the pool wasn't clear and the water felt slimly when we dipped our toes in. He decided to test the water a d the PH was way too high in both the pool and the spa and the chlorine didnt even register on the test there was so little in there. Honestly with the gate being broken and not closing and the water quality being that bad that pool needs to be shut down. When all is said and done for the price and the lack of perks i would much rafher pay the extra $30 a night up the road

Awful stay

Smelly like urine in the hallways and muggy water.

Upon my arrival, I was shocked to see the poor condition of the premises. The carpets were completely dirty, there was trash scattered in the hallways, and the outdoor area by the pool had direct access from the street with no security measures in place. To add to this, there was bird excrement around the pool, the water was dirty and filled with dead insects, and I even came across a pair of underwear with feces on the ground near the tables. I spent only 10 minutes at the hotel before deciding to leave due to the unsanitary conditions. Additionally, the wait at the reception with 10 people in line for just one receptionist. The level of cleanliness and overall experience at your establishment was far below expectations.

I go to the desk the next morning and the lady that morning was very helpful and got us moved into the correct room. It had a whole different terrible smell. We went to the pool. Hot tub was barely warm. The pool was dirty and gross. I read the reviews on this place before booking my stay thinking oh come on it can’t be that bad right? WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! Stay far away from this place!

I was put in a room that was supposed to be out of service the pictures on expedia are not even close to the conditions of the facility its a glorified motel 6 honestly i think motel 6 probably a step up i reserved 2 days i could not stand the filth and agter checkinv in at almost 930pm shoeered slept and left early in the morning and was told i would not be charged for the second night but of course they charged me and are trying to throw it on expedia and expedia says it was charged at hotel so hotel reaponible for the refund. No were close by to eat so you better get it or plan on making a drive and now have to wait 5 business days to see if im gonna get my money back.aftwr waiting in line for almost an hour due to 1 staff member at the desk on a friday night poir staffing and lets see if my post gets removed the good reviiews they have are probably a bot

The price was right. This is an old hotel that could use some freshening up and modern upgrades. That being said the beds were comfy and it was close to all amenities.

Check in was too slow because there was a lot of people and one guy checking everybody in.

We enjoyed

The lobby is a little hot especially during this weather. Very quiet, AC and bed is nice, clean room, the faucet design is a bit weird since it kinda makes the water get all over the sink surface.

Towels were dirty people were complaining before I checked in on how dirty it was water wasn’t very hot

Star was friendly and hospitable. She remembered us the next day and asked about our excursion to the beach. The staff made the stay worthwhile. The pool was nice.The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Convenience fee was too high

The only one downside that we encountered was that we had to go all the way around the property and use the main entrance again if we used the pool or jacuzzi.

Front desk was great and very informative about the downtown scene. The Room had a roach crawling on desk, and the hallway floors were dirty.

The hotel needs upgrades. It is very old. It smells old & musty. Bed had a broken down mattress that wasn’t comfortable.

There is a homeless chap. Write next door to this hotel very unsafe. Especially for a woman traveling alone with a baby.Save yourself the money
