We stayed here several times last year and enjoyed it and it is very convenient location for us as it is close to family. Unfortunately the room we were given this time didn't seem quiet up to par compared to last year. I think it could use a freshening up.

The. Valley Inn is conveniently located. Parking was ample. Carmen the desk person p, was very helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is not fancy, and we were very happy with it. Everything was fine.

Worst hotel experience we've ever had. Firstly, the amenities offered were a microwave, fridge and air conditioning. 2 out of 3 were unusable... We checked in early but arrived back late from our event and had deliberately bought microwavable food to eat but we returned only to find the microwave did NOT work. The plug was duct taped together (I have a photo) so we were unable to eat and had to go out again and spend additional funds getting more food. Then we come back and get ready for bed and the air conditioner could NOT be turned on because of the horrendous sound it made. We left it on for hours hoping it would stop after while but when it didn't by 2 am we shut it off and spent the entire night in total discomfort. It was ridiculously hot in the room (I have video of the air conditioner issue also). It was so late in the evening that calling the office and potentially having to have someone come into the room or have to move wasn't really the best option so I waited to address the issues with management in the morning who only said no one had mentioned the air conditioning and she had no idea about the microwave not working so obviously cleaning staff isn't checking or cleaning the microwaves or they would have noticed it didn't work (no light on inside, no numbers on the display) We weren't offered anything, no partial refund so it's definitely safe to say we will never give our business to this hotel in the future. 0/10 recommended.

It was really nice clean room and area. Just not a lot of parking spots. I had a big van, but I made it work. The lady at the desk was very nice and welcoming. I would stay there again.

The bed was super comfortable and management was very friendly and accommodating.

Horrible staying, the lady asked me for 25 dollars cash deposit and they didn’t give me my money back when I checked out I won’t never ever stay here again .

The room could use some updating, but it was nice especially for the price.

I reviewed prior to this and feel bad that I said the staff was grumpy. It was late when we checked in and she was understandably tired. Not really grumpy, just not overly friendly. She was quiet and efficient.

Gave us a non-smoking room despite accidentally booking a smoking one. Very clean! Comfortable beds! Most of the furnishings looked brand new! Liked the liquid soaps and shampoo dispensers that were installed. Tub was very old and unsightly and hard to get into because of steepness of sides. TV had to be reset each time I turned it on.

Great place for trying to make an addition to your family.

Friendly staff and very helpful, needed a towel late at night and had some available for pick up. But I did notice the floor was not swept or mopped at all in the hotel room. And another thing, if you shower, it fogs up the entire hotel room! Keep the a/c on when you shower and you’ll be fine!

I asked for a non smoking rooms due to allergies, but when I arrived I was told they were all sold out. The TV didn't work, and the light switch was broken...Bad experience
- 2/5
Bedding not clean causing itching all over my body.
- 2/5
The room was bare bones basic with no accommodations. The continental breakfast was very poor and they only had milk and sugar to go with the coffee. For $165 a night it was grossly expensive.
- 5/5
The afternoon receptionist was very courteous and helped to make sure our room was ship shape. The rooms had been recently updated and were clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the walkways and staircases could use a good pressure washing.
- 1/5
They gave me key of room without clean up and all mess up . Smell’s not good and look dirty. I won’t come back or book for any friends to visit San Jose .
- 5/5
I found this motel to be very clean and the staff very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with it being on a busy street that the property was so quiet. It is in a very nice location of town with restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and the motel location was very quiet.

I have stayed at the valley inn on 4 different occasions. I find it clean, comfortable and convenient freeway access to expedite my trip. The staff is always courteous and friendly. The owner is hands on and is very helpful. The morning continental breakfast is much more than coffee and juice. They are always more than happy to try to meet all of my requests. I would highly recommend
- 5/5
The staff were nice, and very helpful. I lost my wallet and they contacted me the second day after I checked out, very nice people! A nice n cozy place to sleep!

There is a supermarket (Safeway) near by along with round table pizza, taco bell, ice cream taco shop, fried chicken / sports bar, Ike's Sandwiches, Mexican fast casual, and more all walking distance.

- 3/5
LOVED the friendly staff. The room was very, very small. It did work for us. We just needed a bed to sleep in. I feel they do really try but the property is very old. Compared to other hotels in the same area we have stayed in, for the same price range, this hotel did not make the top 5. No alarm clock, hair dryer, sparse working outlets, no shampoo or soap, etc. Quiet 1st night, very noisy neighbors the next.
- 1/5
I tried to stay st this hotel except got denied for not having cash only.. they told me last night that I would get a refund.. now, I can’tget my money.. they have taken advantage of me and must keep their word and give me my 150.00 back. This is the 3nd time hotels try to deny me so they can pocket the money..
- 1/5
There was a 250 dollar deposit which I couldn't afford so they cancelled my stay and I have yet to receive a refund
- 4/5
Room is clean. Price is expensive. No hair dryer. No iron.
- 1/5
A lot of sketchy people at this hotel. Police called in some instances. They cleared out the entire floor. You get what you pay for.
- 1/5
Very old, in dire need of a make over.
- 4/5
Staff friendly and helpful. Room seemed very clean and recently updated. Negatives were the early morning traffic noise and no kleenex or hair dryer in the room. The later was quickly remedied by the staff. Good deal for the price.
- 3/5
The only thing I liked about this property was it’s location. We were able to walk to Santa Clara University, breakfast, and dinner. It was extremely noisy on a busy road, lots of things were out of service, the “ continental breakfast “ consisted of dry cereal and danishes in plastic. We never ate there but there was a good breakfast place 2 blocks away. It was way too expensive for what you got.
- 5/5
Nice & quite
- 2/5
This is a dumpy old motel on a loud street. Fine enough if you just need a place to rest your head and are a heavy sleeper.
- 5/5
It was pleasant.
- 1/5
A Motel 6 reservation would have been an upgrade. The place is below standard. Out of date cramped quarters with dirty appliance plugs and lamps that had loose and missing parts. A refrigerator cabinet was empty and the refrigerator was next to a sink. An oversized table and a chair that blocked the passage between the bed and table served as an makeshift desk. Breakfast was a series of dry cereal bins in the plexiglassed registration area.
- 2/5
Very basic and noisy accomodations. There happened to be construction in the unit directly below me as well as construction on the adjacent street. You essentially had to leave the place first thing in the morning as the ambient noise was very distracting/annoying. That said, service at the front desk was good and unit was clean if spartan. However, price was frankly exorbitant ($130/night) for what you got. This place would be a reasonable fallback option if there was no construction and at about half the price.
- 1/5
Someone smoked in my room and the TV wouldn't work. Plus construction right outside.
- 4/5
The room was dated and in the middle of a construction zone, but generally comfortable nonetheless. There was a mall within walking distance, but otherwise the immediate area was not very appealing. The hotel is being renovated and will probably be much nicer when it is completed. This is a good place for a conference, but not really the best for a vacation or a relaxing getaway. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a relatively good value.
- 4/5
Convenient location for our stay. We needed a place to sleep. The rooms were clean and looked to be recently freshened up with new flooring and wallpaper. No blow dryer or hangers.
- 3/5
The hotel was okay but we did not have hot water early in the morning when we needed to shower.
- 3/5
Just the basics. Rooms were clean. Quiet considering right off major street.
- 2/5
Phone didn't work. Cramped, no Kleenex, no chair,
- 3/5
It wasn’t that great as in to comfort and hospitality. Kind of dirty too
- 3/5
Will stay there again and thanks to the owners for their generous assistance.
- 1/5
Room condition was terrible, shower stall was unusable, see picture. Asked for different room and they offered a slightly different one which wasn't any better except the bath tub wasn't chipped and peeling. They have crews of contractors working and maybe it'll get better but I don't think by much. All this going on and they still charge full rate as if renovations are complete. My advice; find another motel, these owners don't know what they're doing
- 4/5
Would have liked beforehand renovations were taken place as you could smell the glue that was used in the apartment: perhaps an air freshener would have helped
- 2/5
The room smells and we had to buy air fresh to get rid of the oder. The room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay, it had been forgotten as we were told. Not much to appreciate for this stay.
- 2/5
Small, cramped, old room, no closet, no iron. Reasonably clean and bed didn’t sag, so that was positive.
- 2/5
Bad for what you pay
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean. The continental breakfast provided was much appreciated.
- 4/5
Clean room. pleasant & professional service.
- 1/5
The key card didn't work properly, the TV didn't work properly, there was broken furniture in the hallway, the "breakfast" was lousy, they advertise a hot tub and there's no hot tub.
- 3/5
Nice location and very quiet neighborhood. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
- 2/5
Has a very convenient location, but the hotel was run down and not clean. I am not a stickler for new furnitire and updating, but there were stains on the chair upholstry, hair and mold in the shower, and a lot of grime on surfaces and in the corners. We had to ask for more towels for our party of two, as there was only one set of wash cloths and hand towels. The bed was clean and decent, or we would have left early. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
the room was nice. had a small free breakfast. Nice place to walk my dogs.
- 5/5
Desk staff was exceptionally helpful. The motel was 2 miles from the Winchester House, a movie theatre and walking distance to many eateries.
- 3/5
It’s average. It’s pretty good for just an overnight stay.
- 5/5
I had the room that is separate, above the main office, so I don't know if all rooms are like this. Large windows lined two walls. The room had a king sized bed plus a sofa, large desk, and bureau, with two night stands. There is a Safeway, two Starbucks, and some cafes all within walking distance. There's also a pretty neighborhood across the street to walk in, and a gas station about two blocks up. The only downfall: There are no USB ports in the room, and the TV would click and reset every about 8 minutes as if the signal was resetting, which also caused a lag in internet.
- 3/5
Hair dryer was working but only low mode not working in med or high mode so useless.
- 2/5
On a really noisy street
- 5/5
Just needed a basic room for a trade show. Room was clean and neat aside from some minor wall damage on a corner. Room was quiet, AC worked, beds were comfortable. Shower supplies very basic but adequate. All in all, better than average for this class of motel.
- 2/5
2. The room they gave us was set up to be nice, but the auto light feature in the bathroom turned on the exhaust fan which was extremely noisy 3. We had to go to the front desk to get some Kleenex, the Kleenex location was completely empty. 4. Not sure if this a requirement for an outside door, but the door did not close fully by itself as every other motel door had...closed. Thought this was a legal requirement. 5. Not sure if breakfast was part of the price, but I don't consider a handful of cereal breakfast.. 6. Will have to check on this, but when I was using the motel Wi-Fi, I got a notice from my carrier that I was being charged for the usage,
- 1/5
Very terrible hotel and the price is super high
- 4/5
Close to airport. Nothing to look at but room very clean and comfofyable
- 4/5
A simple place to stay in for a few days. Close by 2 big malls. First time ine the city and did not know where to go. There’s also a cafe just 2 blocks away for breakfast and on the opposite side a starbucks and safeway supermarket closeby.
- 3/5
Close to airport and served our purpose for early morning flight
- 1/5
There were bugs in the bathroom on the bed nasty. We couldn’t even sleep just thinking they were going to come in our mouths.
- 2/5
Terrible Environment about this Inn. Might not be here again.
- 1/5
The tub/shower had mold all through out and the toilet would not stop running, on a busy street to the freeway.
- 5/5
Fast check-inn, room was great & with lots of restaurant choice
- 5/5
Our stay at San Jose valley inn was very coferable and a short distant from air Paort
- 3/5
Decent place if you are on a budget and don't plan on spending much time there other than sleeping and showering.
- 4/5
Somewhat deserted (which in addition to the desk clerk being behind plexiglass and a rear-facing window in the bathroom made it feel less safe). Free wifi, tiny refrigerator, and microwave, but no coffee pot. Worn looking overall. Bed was okay. No frills (only one bar of soap, would have to take it from sink to bathe). Loud fan in bathroom and could hear road noise (over the heater). Friendly clerk who switched my room when I inadvertently selected a smoking room.
- 5/5
Thiss hotel was great except that my internet would not connect. Clean/Comfortable and the staff were very nice and tried to help with internet issue. Great value and I will stay here again when I am in the area
