Convenient location if you’re need to be in the are is Santa Clara University- as it’s right next door.

I loved the location. We were going to Great America and it was less than a 15 min drive. There are bars and restaurants and coffee shops across the street. Perfect to grab coffee n breakfast in the am and a drink in the pm. Iregiment the Mexican restaurant at the corner, amazing food and service. I reserved the 2 beds room. It was huge. Seemed fairly clean. It did have a wall closet thing with pegs n hangers to hang clothes. An iron and ironing board, and blow dryer. The walk in shower was a nice size. The sink and mirror was nice. I felt the beds were very comfortable, and I slept well. The TV seemed difficult to turn on and get to the channels, so once I did, I left the TV on. And there were so many channels. Staff was very nice, informative, and helpful. While the room seemed clean, I went to get the ice bin to go get ice, took off the lid and there was some gooey stuff under the lid. I thought, no big deal I'll just room it under hot water and clean it. But whatever it was didn't melt and wouldn't wipe away. I also noticed there was leftover water in the coffee chamber. So I rinsed it and filled it and ran it through a couple times. The biggest issue I had was that while there was an ironing board, there was absolutely no outlet nearby to even try to iron. I had to iron on the second bed with the outlet near. Also my daughter had a single bed room with her boyfriend. It was TINY. I don't think I've sever seen a hotel room so small. I would come here again, but only in the 2 beds room. Oh and small windows.

From the outside, the property is clean. Walked into the lobby and thought the front desk person had a friend hanging out with him while this other person was on the phone having a loud conversation with someone else. Come to find out it was a weird man trying to cancel his booking through Expedia but taking his frustration out on the front desk person. The encounter was less than 5 mins thankfully. The room looked decent but once I looked closer to the bed it had a weird pink stain on the sheets. The bed was hard and the springs make a lot of noise. The walls have black markings of some sort. The lights flickered a lot. The remote batteries were low. The TV picture wasn’t very clear. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The water pressure wasn’t the best. You can see the outside from the bottom of the door to the room. The property isn’t in a bad area but safety is still a concern.

The reception staff is always responsible, as well as the housekeeping staff, they are there whenever you needed. They deserve the maximum star rating and I highly recommend Signature inn Santa Clara to you! Additionally, the bus stop is just in front of the hotel, and only three stops you will get to the Caltrain transit centre, the Costco is also not far away, what are you waiting for, book it &experience it.

The staff is still kind of accommodating. I’ve been visiting this property on and off for years and their kindness respectful manners, never cease to amaze me.

This a very clean and convenient stay near Santa Clara University and only 10 minutes from the San Jose airport. The 22 bus stops right in front of the to hotel for a 2 minute ride to CalTrain. Restaurants and coffee across the street and Safeway a short walk away. Staff is very helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, I was able to check-in earlier than the designated time which help me a lot. There was a minor issue with the keycard on my second day but the staff helped me without hesitation. The AC was okay, it took a good 20 minutes to actually cool the room but it wasn’t bad. Only complaint is that the bed frame was very loud every time I moved, not even heavy movement.

The room was fine and clean but so clean that it smelled like an indoor swimming pool. So much clorine bleach was used on the sheets that the room smelled terrible.

I’ve stayed in several places recently and this place is truly exceptional! The staff is the best I’ve come across. They’ve done everything a traveler/guest could ask! And then some! Very nice upscale rooms. Clean, comfortable, upscale, and competitive rates for rooms. Everything inside actually works! Appliances and fixtures all work well as you would expect! All of the customer service one could expect. Excellent place to stay! I’ve extended twice already. I’ll definitely return!

The room was not usable for sleep or rest. Loud repeated hammering noise started around 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, and continued later that morning. I recorded multiple videos around 7:50 AM and after 8:00 AM. I only stayed one night out of a three-night booking.

Don't bother. I arrived at 5pm and they gave me a different room because the room i ordered was not clean. The room i got you could see hand prints on the wall or other body parts. Broken fridge door, missing hanging clothes elements. You could hear neighbors. The blankets had stains from body fluids or something..

The vinyl plank foors aren't great and the bed reading lights were so dim as to be completely useless. The heating didn't appear to work and the room was chilly.

The room was okay for the price. The beds were comfortable, shower hot, and air conditioning worked great. The primary reason for our poor rating is the floors were disgustingly dirty on arrival. There was small debris that should have been swept up and visible dirt caking the floor. Walking around barefoot even from the shower to the bed left the bottoms of our feet black with dirt. This is not an exaggeration and if I had taken a picture of the floor and feet, I’d have included it. If the floors were this dirty, I wonder how well the rest of the room is cleaned…Even with the cheap pricing, I could not stay here again due to the lack of cleanliness.

We were going to stay here until we saw cockroaches 30 min in then we checked out immediately and they told me I would receive a refund but have not recieved one it’s been a week and a half

Room was dirty, debris on the floors and in the shower. Flies/gnats, I got bit in 4 places. The person in the room above was making noise all night stomping across the floor. I terirned around midnight and the noise was constant finally at 5am got up and left, instead of my planned departure of 9am.

Sink installed the wrong direction so hot and cold water are on opposite directions of each other. Unless its meant that way, but it was not clear. Floorboards in main room was lifting a bit. Unpainted cracks in the wall. Table lamp didn't have any lightbulbs in them. Coffee maker water tank has mildew inside. No tea offered in room or in office. Just coffee in the rooms. No microwave in room, but had cute fridge. Office had water and microwave out and available but not tea/coffee. Willl not stay here again, but was still better than a Motel 6.

No daily cleaning service even though it claims it does. Did not provide hair dryer which I consider as a standard amenities.

Clean!!! Friendly staff, safe environment. The cleaning person knocked so hard, then forcibly tried to enter the room ready to clean before 10 AM. We were trying to catch up on sleep after being sleep-deprived for many days! She left after finding out that she couldn't completely open the door wide due to the door stopper. Sometimes this is the only decent time and place to get some decent sleep.

2) The a/c unit dropped onto the bathroom counter, soaking anything on it. Alerted front desk and they did nothing. 3) Bathroom fan was broken. Alerted front desk and they did nothing. 4) Mattress was very uncomfortable.

Wish it had a microwave

I booked my reservation online and the receptionist was very helpful with checking me in when I arrived. The room was also very tidy and cozy. Overall, my stay was pleasant and the price was reasonable.

You don’t get keys and the boy will open the door for you.

The sheets weren’t changed when I first arrived. There were hairs on the sheets. I then asked front desk to change them but they didn’t. They said they did but they didn’t because I noticed the same dirty markings on the sheet.

Room is very clean (always)- we stay there all the time visiting our student-athlete at SCU. If you are downstairs, you may hear upstairs noise/steps. Mattress is cozy and sheets are decent. but comforter is paper thin. Have to ensure room temp is just right, or bring a blanket if you prefer more weight. Overall- good enough for the good price!

I wasn’t even in the room a full two hours and they refused to refund that first night, even though I checked out and showed proof of mold and cockroaches. They claimed that due to me being in there, they now had to clean before being able to book out the room. Meaning they were not and probably still are not planning to deep clean the mold or treat for the bugs. How horrible!!!!

Parking was easy and room was super clean! The area was peaceful and quiet and lost of cool spots near by.

Parking was not an issue and the hotel is right across from a coffee place and a few food options. The room was not bad for a quick overnight stay but there were a few things - my AC unit didn't work. There were some cleanliness concerns in the room. When I asked for a receipt at checkout, I was told to check the website but the website says that the property was supposed to provide it. Overall, not super thrilled with the stay.

The only issue I had with the property was the size of the room. It was very small and no closet/dresser for clothes to be stored away. The staff was professional and nice!

Pros: lots of food/coffee/boba options (go to Bill’s Cafe!!!!) and Safeway is about 2 blocks away.

Room reeked of body odor. I asked to switch rooms and they said they were all booked but I don't understand how I couldn't have switched rooms if other people haven't checked in yet.. I tried opening the windows all night while having the AC on and NOTHING worked.. 2nd time having a bad experience here.

Staff was not friendly, the room had a smell and the shower floor was dirty that we did not feel comfortable showering. Probably not coming back but you get what you pay for.

Room was very clean upon arrival, but in a 5-day stay, room was never serviced. Air conditioning didn’t work properly; the unit would keep shutting down, and not work, even when reset was attempted.

I booked this motel through hotels.com. I would never stay here again! The floors were clean-ish but looked dirty! We checked in and I wiped the floor and it the paper towel was dirty! Sheets had stains. Showers were only hot for a few minutes. Towels are cheap and never dried. Our smoke detector went off and wouldn’t turn off! The ironing board had a tear in the cover. Broken drawers. Dirty walls! Just got what others on hotels.com rated it. It’s a decent location, coffee shop across the street and places to eat in walking distance!

All in all this little place is a great value for the money. The service is very friendly, the rooms were fairly clean, and everything is pretty much as advertised. This was the perfect place for my family. We weren’t planning to be staying around a hotel very much but out and about in the surrounding areas. We rented two rooms and had no issues. For some guest, who said that area was dicey I don’t know what the heck they were talking about. The area is just a normal business neighborhood, very safe and convenience to everything. There’s a really great little café across the street. I recommend this signature in and will stay again next time if I’m in the area and need a place to rest my head for the night.

Honestly, I don’t care about the room size which was extremely small, but the bed is literally the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I would not book a room here ever again.

Front desk during morning time was surprising. Very rude. I also went downstairs to order oatmael and it was beyond difficult to do that cuz no one spoke a word of English to a point that I had to try and use google translate. Correct me if I’m wrong but English is the primary language in this country right? After finally placing my order I asked for brown sugar for my oatmeal that was oats in hot water then placed in microwave for 12.00 and after 13 min of trying to find a way to translate what brown sugar is they finally decided to tell me WE DONT HAVE. which is crazy when you sold me steal cut brown sugar oatmeal. Then the don’t desk lady had the audacity to tell me if I don’t like it I don’t have to get it with an attitude is this acceptable from a four-star hotel you tell me?

I’m a single traveler so the room was small but most modern and efficient. The amenities were very up dated and nice.

The shower door was slanted and was not able to stay close had to stuff a face towel into it to keep it shut.

There was a homeless encounter with police when we left the property to go to the airport.

Great, affordable place to stay

The photos of the queen room online must’ve been taken during the hotel’s glory days… or maybe they were just from a different hotel altogether. My room was run down, and none of the shown room amenities seemed to exist. The A/C had a dramatic streak—any time I set it to 70, it would shut off and trip the plug. One night, it even tripped the breaker for just the A/C, so it stopped working completely. No one was at the front desk at 6am when I left for work, so my husband called—and they sent someone into my room without even verifying his identity. Definitely a safety red flag. They got it running again, but I still couldn’t set it lower than 71 without risking another shutoff. Housekeeping was MIA for all 5 nights—no clean towels, no trash pickup. I asked for fresh towels and was handed just one. Also, there was a big gap under the door, so bugs had a free pass into the room. I ended up stuffing a towel there to keep them out. The location? Fantastic. The experience? Not so much. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Rooms have a very modern look, but if you pay close attention there are some obvious issues. Here's a short list of what I noticed: bathroom door handle was falling off, shower door did not fully close, bathroom sink had some chips in it, clear dirt and dust in corners of room, door does not seal fully when closed, etc. Amenties are on the light side, but is located relatively close to a bunch of food/cafes and it's fairly easy to get to most of the main tourist places nearby (Japantown, Santana Row, Airport, Downtown and convention center). If you can get this place cheap and aren't staying long go for it, but I would not recommend this for families or for stays longer than 2-3 days.

Nice layout but walls were a bit thin for my liking. My a/c didn’t work, drawers looked broken, had to fix the desk to open the closet, shower door didn’t close fully, and microwave is in lobby with access from 9am to 10pm. Staff was pleasant and cleaning staff was hospitable.

Room smell to cigarette, there was to much brightness coming into the room (the blackout wasn't good enough to block it), and I could loudly hear the people walking on the second floor. This is kind of typical at this price point but I've had better experiences in other places.

The person checking me in was very nice and accommodating. The room is clean and simple. It has a fridge which I really like although no microwave. I would stay here again if available.

Good for the price. There doesn’t seem to be weather sealing around the door so noise light gets in, the street next to it can be loud.

When I arrived it was an older motel but the rooms were very clean and very nice they were also very small. Definitely worth the small price tag. One of the big issues was the bed the bed was very uncomfortable and very hard. The cheapest of the cheap mattresses it wasn't old it wasn't in bad shape it was just hard as a rock and very low quality. There was a sheet and a very thin blanket and that was it. 3 miniature pillows. I don't want to be too critical of this place because it was very clean.

I had to go to Target to but new bedding after being changed to a second room. One of the towels literally had poop on it. I bought cleaning supplies and cleand my own room. There was a homeless man yelling and fighting invisible people with a pipe across the street; the police finally arrested him. The guy who works the front desk dost wear shoes and he stands in the parking lot with a leaf blower that isnt even on. Dont waste your money. If your desperate, you'll survive.

The place is on the surface clean, but underneath all rooms are cheaply designed, using poor materials. The bed frame was hollow metal that made noises when you sat on it, there are no closets, just hooks on the wall, I can go on and on, but this place is very cheap.

Kumar at the reception has always been friendly and super efficient. I stay at this hotel in countless time, and it has been my go-to when I need to be in San Jose for work. I would recommend King bed room, bigger and nicer room, the extra lounge/bench along the wall is a nice add-on.

The TV was not working and the heater was also not working well. It was very uncomfortable and very cold with little to no TV access. That with the lukewarm reception made it feel like a total "Fail" in my book.
