Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location, but expressing dissatisfaction with the condition of the rooms, lack of amenities, and poor customer service. The hotel seems to cater well to those seeking a budget-friendly option for short stays, but may not meet the expectations of guests seeking a more comfortable and well-maintained accommodation.

I like it is very close to my business destination. I liked that I could park my vehicle in front of my room. I liked that the room I wanted was available to me. The rate I got off Booked. com was affordable for the time spent in the room.
- 5/5
Granted the location wasn't to bad considering, but the room was nice and staff were very helpful and welcoming. For the value it was worth the stay and would stay again if ever in san mateo So far away from everything. It was about 1 mile to walk to anything.

Its a hotel with old beds, the blankets seem to be old as well. The hotel was clean, no odors, free smoking area which I appreciate it.

The TV worked. The bathroom sink was new. Nice big mirror in the room. Decent toiletries. Hair dryer worked. Minimal freeway noise. I stay in cheap motels A LOT and this one just doesn't measure up to motels of similar prices elsewhere in the Bay. The room was in DESPERATE need of a paint job. Walls were cracked. Surfaces - and the bedroom door! - were stained. Towel rack was hanging off the wall. Not enough towels provided. Overall, very dingy.

the room was okay in every aspect. this is the epitome of you get what you pay for. the location isn't that bad you get the noise from 101 but walking distance to the bay trail for even more walking. this room felt very private. the cleaning staff are very receptive. there's a landscaping or construction company behind the building and sometimes they like to play music really loud. there were roofers working and being on the top floor meant i heard loud footsteps and power tools to a point where i had to leave to have a phone call.

Clean and quiet but older property. Very flat pillows
- 2/5
New bed (lumpy) sheets, towels (looked dingy/old)
- 5/5
Was great for a overnight with all the other hotels in the area at 600-1000 a night because of some convention. New it was a budget hotel but reviews say was ok. So gave it 5 star because it’s good for what it is in the price range … I new I did not book the four seasons so my expectations were met.

The bed was very hard and the room was overall dirty!! Hair on the floor, hair in the bathroom sink and hair on the "clean" towels!!!! I would not recommend this motel!!
- 3.5/5
Parking is tight
- 5/5
Will definitely use again when in San Mateo, CA
- 1/5
Matress and pillow very hard, I could hear everyones buisness next door. No room service to clean the room the 2 days I stayed there.
- 1/5
Toilet didn’t work, shower barely worked. My neighbor told me he had sewage in his bathtub after flushing. He paid $600/night because there were no other rooms in the area.
- 1/5
The room was clean, furnishings were very old, bed lumpy and uncomfortable, our room had plumbing issues, toilet leaking from base, sink and shower draining very slowly. Parking is a nightmare. The spaces are too small and it is difficult to drive in the lot due to lack of space and sharp turns.
- 5/5
Quite great management
- 5/5
Very quiet property, conveniently located, 20 minutes to San Francisco proper. Would stay again
- 4/5
One things i dont like pillow is small. The rest is ok.
- 5/5
First time in San Fransico the staff was very good. My room was clean. Everything on the inside worked. Couldnt have ask for a better accommodation for short stay. I recommed this property.
- 3.5/5
Convenient. Free parking and clean Coffee was subpar. Wish there was some sort of coffee bar or something in the morning.
- 3/5
1) the locks on the door did not feel or look like they would hold 2) the bed/mattress was past its time due to the indentations from years of previous use. Two things I did like: 1) you can walk to the Bay Trail via the neighborhood, of which had a lot of families and kids 2) Mexican food is also in walking distance and all three were pretty darn good.
- 3/5
Smells
- 5/5
Everything was cozy and nice. Would come back for another stay.
- 1/5
The staff allowed me to check in early. They were prompt and courteous. The room was clean enough but the shower was so gross. The drain was exposed and was a bit of a hellscape to glance at. The condition of the shower overall was poor. No water pressure. The curtains allowed in more than normal amounts of light. Quite a bit more than normal I’ll say. I did not sleep much. Won’t be coming back.

I booked for my step daughter and her disabled son with a service dog and they yelled at her door for the autistic kid as he has a condition they do not understand
- 5/5
Wonderful stay super clean!!
- 4/5
I commute on my own dime so I’m always looking for the lowest rates possible. The places I usually stay were either booked solid or had jacked up their rates for an event in the area that I wasn’t aware of. Desperate, I searched Hotels.com and found this place. It looked a bit shady but I took a chance and overall I’d say it was decent. A little dingy on the edges, but a good fallback at a great price. The best thing about it is it that it borders a really cute neighborhood that you can walk through to get to a park with a great view of the bay.

Not the best stay, especially for the price. There are other nearby hotels that would have been a better choice. Especially difficult with no car.

It was quite and very clean.
- 1/5
One of my worst experiences. this was a last-minute booking on a long road trip. The room was decently clean but we had no hot water for showers and the toilets did not flush correctly ( industrial toilets in a hotel?!)., the furniture was old and torn. The facilities do not even have an ice maker on the premises.
- 1/5
Everything else.
- 4/5
Convenient here and there.
- 2/5
There was no hot water and no toilet paper rolls. Just tissue paper.
- 4.5/5
Great to have fridge microwave etc Skinny staircase
- 4/5
The decor was nice, with a comfortable chair and nearby lamp for reading. Parking space was conveniently close to the door. The bed was ok but strange sounds came from whatever (springs?) was under the mattress when moving around on the bed. And the ice machine was broken☹️. But basically a comfortable, clean, quiet and safe place to stay!
- 2/5
Very run down. Quite a long walk to downtown for food and coffee. Not the best area. I wouldn't feel all that safe walking around at night.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
was ok need more ammenities
- 2/5
The complex is in disrepair. The out of order sign on the ice machine looked to be months old. The bedspreads and upholstered chair were filthy as was the window. One washcloth, hand towel and packet of coffee for a room with 2 queen beds.
- 4/5
It was very nice for the price it is listed, would definitely book again!
- 2/5

- 4/5
I really liked the fact that they had a room for me every time I called in
- 5/5
@ almost 12 so they knew it would be a bit later in the am
- 3/5
It was located across from the noise wall of the freeway. View from our room was a block wall topped with razor wire. Room was clean but a bit dingy. Last minute booking at 9:30 pm and it was near our destination. Clean bed, no extra blankets, towels for 1 not 2.
- 2/5
I will say the owner was very friendly but that was the only positive thing.
- 3/5
An older motel. The room has the basics. Towels and linens are changed and bed made each day. We were in one of the smaller rooms. Some rooms are much larger. Nice new TV. No continental breakfast. No complaints. Good price for San Mateo.
- 4/5
While not upscale, it's good enough for people looking for a decent room at a good price. The room had plenty of power outlets, USB chargers, powerful AC and heating keep you in control, usual bathroom and shower. I was able to park my car a few feet from door. The location was not 'vibrant' but you can get into San Francisco in 20 minutes as it's a few seconds off 101. I recommend staying here if you don't want to pay for fancy and aren't trying to impress anyone.
- 4/5
Very easy access and great value for price if seeking sleeping amenities only. However, 8 minutes from down town San Mateo, where abundance of options for food options.
- 1/5
I wanted to cancel the reservation I made, they definitely didn't help, they didn't help with the time, they are not relevant and they broke
- 2/5
The room was dirty

Up was very friendly and efficient. He even upgraded our room for free, which I truly appreciated. I wasn’t expecting a lot of bells and whistles for our stay and that’s okay. We were there for one night on a business trip and the accommodations were perfect.

Customer service sucks. Don’t bother booking. Waste of money. 113 dollars down the drain
- 2/5
No dead bolt on door!
- 3/5
I was there six nights. I never received any coffee packets even though I asked multiple times. My room was never cleaned. Parking was terrible. It was very noisy in the hallways. The clerks were very nice. I had a security camera in my room. No one came in except once. They opened the door and shut it. I asked the cleaning people not to change my sheets or towels on the first day and never saw anyone again.
- 4/5
Everything was okay except the toilet placement in the bathroom.Much too close to the sink.I’m a small person and found it uncomfortable.A larger person would find it even worse .
- 4/5
It was a nice little place. But the parking spaces where so small..

Filthy! Building code violations

Everty is good but they offer brakefast and nathin
- 3/5
Towels were not fresh, cheap material, the whole place need to remodel.

I know that I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel but this is like a 0 start hotel. First room I was given, it was occupied. Second room I was given, TV didn’t work and phone didn’t work. They tried fixing TV but no luck. Third room I was given, the room smelled so bad. It was cigarette smell but really bad and is supposed to be smoke free room. I booked this hotel for 2 nights and only stayed 1. I left to another hotel and they wouldn’t give a a refund or any type of discount for at least 1 night. Not even an apology. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. Everything is bad.

Had a feeling the sheets hadn’t been changed as I found some hair that wasn’t mine. Stayed for 4 nights, and on the 4th night I had gotten bit 4 times, I thought they were spiders or mosquitoes, but I did more research and they were bedbug bites. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all
- 1/5
This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life I couldn’t see it being any worse the bed was broke down the staff was horrible the manager was rude and nasty they double charged my card they held my deposit hostage they made barged in early in the morning and then kept on calling so we couldn’t get any rest this is a horrible hotel don’t stay here I don’t care if it’s $30 a night it’s too much the manager of this hotel is a rude nasty man
- 5/5
good pricing also good staff.

Really good
- 2/5
Disliked: Gruff office personnel. Didn't accommodate the disability issue I had indicated in advance when I rented--had to climb steep stairs with a spinal injury. They dismissed my question about the (supposedly included) continental breakfast saying, "We don't have that anymore," which meant I had to go hungry from early morning until about 1 pm.
- 3/5
There were a lot of sketchy people staying at there. We will not be returning to them

- 1/5
Do not stay here. Outlets did not work or provide adequate charge for phone or computer. The wifi was so limited in signal strength it was impossible to connect. Cell service in the room was spotty and dropped several times trying to make calls. Huge safety hazard. They advertise free breakfast but had none during the times advertised. No blackout curtains. Walls were so thin could hear everything going on in the other rooms. Room was unclean and found a couple safety razors with blood on them. I've stayed in rooms cheaper than this that had better quality, so it's not a "get what you pay for" issue like management claims. Will not stay her again and you shouldn't either.
- 5/5
It’s my first time here. And I did not expect it to be this good and comfortable. I love the bathroom, although it’s small, but it’s all that I made, and very convenient. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and check in was a breeze. I would recommend this place.
- 1/5
My stay was horrible! Toilet was clogged at arrival and instead of moving me to another room they offered a plunger… I could not believe my ears when I heard it from the manager. This hotel does not deserve to be part of hotels.com
- 1/5
Really dirty hotel. You can hear the noises of the residents all night long. The staff treat you badly. If you tell them anything they say this is what you get for the price. Far away from everything $55 Uber ride from the airport. If you learn from my mistake don’t ever stay here.
- 2/5
Viel kaputt im zimmer, obwohl wir mit frühstück gebucht haben, gab es nichts
- 4/5
Perfectly adequate room given the competitive rate offered.

Ample parking. Great front desk. Wish they'd expand their hours.
