Clean room

We reserved two rooms. One had water all over the bathroom mirror and spots of black mold around the bathroom mirror and walls. I told the front desk and they moved me immediately. The other room had what appeared to be blood and feces between the mirror and sink and on the grab bar in the bathroom. The manager said he initiated a 20% refund through Expedia. I called Expedia and they told me they knew nothing about it and did not have a refund for me. I called the property, left a message over 24 hours ago and have heard nothing back.
- 1/5
The manager had such a bad attitude, we paid for a room that we didn't even get to stay in I'm so disappointed with this hotel worst experience ever. I left a message for the G.M. and never got a call back I've tried to reach out multiple times. I will definitely be getting a different hotel for now on when I take a cruise!

Clean, quiet rooms. Very convenient for cruise passengers.
- 5/5
Excellent valet, front desk really helpful on late arrival, amazing room clean organized
- 5/5
The convenience and we had two rooms that were connected because we were traveling on a cruise. It was actually very very nice and the restaurant was great. Actually, I was very satisfied. It was very nice. My grandkids got in the pool and we just hung out and had a nice dinner downstairs.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful professional, knowledgeable. The food was delicious!!!!
- 5/5
Everything was great. Nothing.

This is the place to stay for a cruise out of San Pedro. The Breakfast (if included or paid separately) is the best around. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. This was the 5th time we have stayed at The Crown Plaza San Pedro. Will not hesitate to go back. Depending on the floor your room is on, you may have to take an elevator to get to an ice machine.

Clean room, friendly front desk workers, good stay although they do not have room service despite what their online site and button on the phone for room service indicate. Good hotel overall
- 1/5
The amount I paid was definitely not worth it the room smelled like mildew. The shower water was horrible it had two temps freezing or mild freezing, it also flooded with someone else's hair in the bottom sink gross. The whole experience was just not worth it. Very disappointing I could have went to a motel 6 and got better service.

We were on the second floor, same as the pool. Great!! The toilet kept running all night and the drain for the roll in shower didn’t work very well, water got everywhere.

Breakfast was great - Gal (who gave out mimosas in lobby day b4) was all over making sure everyone was good...she did same night b4 @ dinner...she's a GEM !!! When trying to check in a lady went from in the line to in front of line - 2 different folks confronted her yelling about going in front of everyone YET folks @ desk took her next. ☹️

I purchased this hotel for the free breakfast… I felt like I was tricked when they told me it was only breakfast for 2.

I did not try the restaurant facilities there though it looked appealing. We had dinner reservations with another couple who took us to their favorite place. The parking was convenient and under the hotel with an elevator that went directly to the lobby. I had an issue returning late one night where the self park spaces were full, though the front desk worked it so I could take one of the valet spaces au gratis because of the inconvenience I faced. It was late at 1:30 am when I returned from the Catalina Avalon Ball. Note its not obviously where you should enter for the parking as it also doubles as an Enterprise Rental Car parking lot. You need to see the Additonal Parking sign and drive under the structure. The room we stayed in seem to have water pipe rupture or something as the carpet near the bathroom entrance was wet and remained wet for the two nights we stayed there. I mentioned this to the management along with some other suggestions who contacted me via texting and continually checked in our experience. This is an older property with many wth many touches that need some TLC. Obviously, they are working to bring up the quality and experience that befits the Crown Plaza name.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly but the property needs updating badly.
- 2/5
They are charging $25 a day for parking but have most parking spaces reserved for valet. I had to circle parking lot many times to find a parking spot. Only valet parking spots are close to elevator. The staff wasn’t very friendly. They didn’t tell me anything about the hotel, like restaurant hours, wi-fi password, pool hours, etc. I’ve stayed here before, but I think I’ll try a new place next time I’m in town.
- 5/5
We enjoyed every minute of it, From the moment we pulled up to valet, the front desk, house keeping attendant who helped us with our hair dryer, engineering team who assisted with the plugs in our room & of course the restaurant staff!! I worked 13 years in hospitality & I can tell it’s a great environment overall. Great team! Definitely planning on returning.
- 1/5
I do NOT recommend any women stay at this property!! I was accosted in their underground parking lot by one of their valets! I immediately reported the incident to the front desk and they would not release the employee's name so that I could file a police report. I was alone, parking in the ADA spot by the elevator and stayed in my car with the windows up and doors locked while he was ranting and accosting me for what he felt was the wrong place to park (86 years old with ADA permit, btw). We were getting on a cruise and thought this would be a convenient place to stay. The chair in the room had a 6 inch rip in the upholstery, the carpet made our feet black when walking barefoot out of the shower, the restaurant buffet looked pretty good but we were given a dirty napkin and a dirty bread plate. This is NOT a safe property and is not clean.
- 5/5
So have stayed several times. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and usually ready early. Nice bar if you want a drink and one block from the San Pedro fish co. Always gotta get a meal there. Our last day, the air conditioner wasn’t working in the room, but they were very prompt and moving us to another room so it all worked out
- 5/5
Room was clean. Restaurant was ok
- 4/5
Everything was great. The only complaint I had was the TV. Updated smart TVs would be excellent. It definitely something with having for a stay.
- 5/5
In the short time I was there, I have no complaints. Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was fine, same as in most places.
- 5/5
Great walkable area and excellent property
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay it was peaceful&was very clean&the restaurant in the hotel was so cute and the food was good and the breakfast buffet was very good they had good food options I had a good experience for a 2 day stay I would definitely stay there again
- 4/5
Restaurant didn't open until late afternoon and we all thought the prices were a little high
- 5/5
Nicely located to shops and restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Great location. Suite had beautiful views.
- 4/5
Property was nice and clean. I little dated, low water pressure but overall good. Great location to the cruise port.
- 5/5
The lady that checked us in was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. We were really only there to sleep, but the air conditioner was so loud that it was hard to sleep. The noise was worse that taking off in an airplane... We did mention it at checkout and the (different) lady just said something like 'well, the system is really old...'
- 3/5
Check in was quick, however other than asking if I would be taking a cruise and how there was a shuttle available for $11 to take you 3 mins to the port, I received no other direction or explanation other than “here is your floor, and we are charging you a $100 security deposit, tap yes.” The lobby furniture was in okay shape, it was the furniture on every other floor that I went to as well as in my room that was the problem. Dinged, dented, scuffed and knicked. Things looked rough. Stains, dust, marks and chipped bathroom flooring awaited me in my room. The bed sheets also had what looked to be make up stains on the top comforter. I bring Sani wipes with me when I head to a cruise and used many in this room. The desk was stained and filthy, the chair had dried white something on the seat. The room was very dark despite having a view of the harbor. The buffet breakfast was $27 and so bland, limited and sad. The shuttle to the port outside looked like it had been through hell with balding tires and an unwashed exterior. The interior was much more clean and in good condition, thankfully. No one asked for the ticket I paid for, I just boarded. Took 3mins to get to port. This property desperately needs some TLC. Replace the furniture and do a deep clean if you actually respect your guest.
- 5/5
Very clean staff was friendly.

Very close to cruise terminal.
- 5/5
Very clean. Close to cruise port in San Pedro. Walking distance to port but hotel offers a shuttle for a fee that leaves every 30 mins. Nice restaurant on site. Would recommend.

Fortunately we only needed a room for one night.

Close to cruise, many restaurants nearby. Tub faucet didn’t work well

The hotel is within walking distance of the cruise port the restaurant was very nice plus they had a mini store for drinks and snacks. I would definitely stay here again.

- 2/5
We booked a harbor view accessible room. they first put us in a regular room. I asked for harbor view. so they put us in a partial harbor view and overlooking the garbage area below. The room was very dated but clean. The staff at the check in desk were not very helpful at all at check in and also at check out. The staff in the dining room were pleasant , friendly and helpful. the dining room was clean and the breakfast was good. We were told we could only book the shuttle to the cruise port upon check in, and the cost was $11.00 each person. when we asked to book the shuttle for us, they said all the shuttles were full, We had to wait until the next day to book a taxi. which was $11.00 for both us. If you need transport to the cruise ship, I suggest the taxi. half price, no other people and their luggage. drop off right at the ship. friendly cab driver. The way we were treated by the check in and check out desk staff was unacceptable and I will never stay at the Crowne Plaza again.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and the location is very convenient within walking distance to cruise port, but the overall condition of the hotel is not that good.
- 1/5
On top of that, even after explaining that I had already called ahead and confirmed my arrival time, I was still charged an additional early check-in fee. In the end, I had to pay for an extra day and an early check-in charge. The staff was not helpful in resolving the issue, and the communication was very poor. Overall, the experience was disappointing and stressful.
- 5/5
Clean

Totally a great stay, all accommodations were great!!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Food was okay for just getting in late.
- 5/5
It’s was good
- 3/5
I liked the location as it is very close to the pier for Princess Cruise Lines, and I was taking a cruise. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The downside to this property is that it really needs a refurbishment. Hallways and rooms are pretty worn out: bathroom fixtures need replacing. Another downside for me was that I couldn't seem to get the automated payment to work in the little shop on-site: I had somehow forgotten my toothpaste and was trying to get my Visa card to work in the reader: there is no one manning this shop, it's all automated. Staff were helpful for both the check-in and check-out. Shuttle reservations were easy and the shuttle was prompt. Meals are rather pricey for what they are: I had both dinner and breakfast in the dining room. However, it was handy. I would stay again, but I hope next time the refurbishment has occurred.
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet was great. Staff was very helpful. And shuttle bus to hotel does offer a wheelchair lift.
- 4/5
Just a tired hotel with great staff . Beds were good , sheets clean and comfortable. The carpet the furniture in our 2 rooms were just worn and old. For the cruise folks like us worked great. There newer choices that they need to step up the game to compete with.
- 3/5
Chair in room was ripped. Staff was great but under staffed
- 3/5
Doors didn’t open well, remote in the room was missing. Gym was mediocre.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
The staff were pleasant and clean but the air conditioner didn’t work properly and extremely loud
- 5/5
I didn't have breakfast
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Staff blocked our truck in. We could not leave on time for a friend’s wedding. Hotel rooms are dirty with mold on the ceiling in the bathrooms. Weird screeching noise all night like an alarm going off.
- 5/5
Valet was very friendly. When we first got there check-in was very busy but it was to be expected for those traveling on a cruise. Despite the long wait the receptionist that had attended us was kind. We headed for the happy hour at the bar. Drinks and food was a success. They have some real good birria nachos!
- 3/5
The gym was very disappointing. A weight rack with many missing weights and no other power device at all, not a single one, only cardio machines.
- 2/5
First stay was adequate, Second time a little different result. This building is very old and it shows. Carpet dirty and wore out throughout. Heating and A/C are very noisy, coming from the room next door, although they work. Staff are friendly and helpful until you have an issue, with noise in the middle of the night. Had to demand a no charge for zero sleep. Then there is construction going on next door, that starts at 7:00 a.m.

- 5/5
Great stay for before cruise
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, good food, great customer service! Parked via valet, and great service there as well.
- 1/5
We were very dissatisfied the rooms are old dirty , shower with mold on the tile, and the rooms smell like old people houses and there and we had to sign a waiver for do not smoke in the room but I am not a smoker and I can tell that people are smoking in the room, we did not went in a different hotels because we were out of budget defenely I would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone
- 2/5
The room furniture was dirty, the shower was dirty with hoar on the wall. The staff was not very helpful when asking about early checkin. While waiting for the shuttle for the port transfer there was nobody to quite you to you shuttle they only pointed to the door. Shuttles were supposed to be loaded at the time you choose while checking in but it was first come first serve and didn't matter what time you choose. Checkin was extremely slow. I wouldn't suggest this hotel if going on a cruise.
- 5/5
Close to the port, you can walk and see the cruise ships
- 4/5
Good location for the cruise terminal but their transfers are really expensive
- 5/5
Was great
- 5/5
Room curtains were dirty with blood stains just a little and bathroom wall had some dirty splatter on it tub shower gets water all over the place
- 5/5
Did not get it
- 4/5
Was OK, was close to port son it served its purpose.
- 4/5
Conveniently located. Checked in after midnight due to a late flight and the clerk was amazing. He had very good energy and was very welcoming. The room was very clean despite I had to kill two spiders which is my biggest fear. Other than that, I would definitely recommend staying here again to anyone cruising.
- 2/5
Room smell old and pricier, cheap furnitures and staff do not care your concern, no breakfrearst included,
- 5/5
Mom enjoyed the stay. Rhabjs
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
BREAKFAST WAS GREAT..STAFF GREAT...ROOM VERY CLEAN
- 3/5
Regarding breakfast, we found this incredibly disorganised and chaotic. The people organising seating etc didn’t seem to know what they were meant to be doing. The actual staff working the tables were very helpful , despite being clearly overworked , as I believe the Restaurant is understaffed. That said the food on offer was plentiful and replenished frequently and was pretty good. The area of the hotel is in, like all Ports, isn’t exactly great! We did walk out and find a good bar called San Pedro Brewing Company. There is a free trolley bus that will take you downtown that stops in the road at the back of the hotel. Also, as the port is across the road, there are Harbour tours available too.
- 5/5
Convenient location
- 2/5
Close to Cruise port
- 3/5
The hotel is overpriced compared to the Doubletree nearby. The fee for Self Parking is excessive as is the Valet and for the shuttle to the local cruise ships. I was not given the room I signed up for
- 4/5
This is always my go-to hotel for one night pre-cruise. It has always been excellent. This time, not so much! When I entered my room, there was a large fan/carpet dryer running in there, so there had obviously been some kind of flooding issue. I turned it off and put it outside the room, letting the front desk know. They never followed up about it. The carpet outside the bathroom area was very wet, but for one night I didn't feel like escalating. I am back again in May and hoping things have improved!
- 5/5
They were very accommodating. We were able to get an early check in.
- 5/5
This was my second stay at the Crown Plaza. Unfortunately, it appears to have gone downhill in terms of its condition. I don’t think I’ll be staying there again. The furnishings in the rooms are chipped and worn. The bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was way overpriced in their restaurant. For the price paid a free shuttle to the Kruse for it would’ve been nice.
- 5/5
We went for a cruise, like everyone else. The staff was amazing with such a busy time. I felt bad for the front desk as people are so rude. The location was great, we walked to a few pubs/restaurants and we walked to the cruise port. Some people paid $10 per person or $20, but it was a nice walk. It took 11 minutes with our suitcase. It seemed easier that loading and unloading a bus. But it was there if needed. I highly recommend this hotel
- 5/5
Clean room, good staff
- 3/5
The room is very old.
- 5/5
Check in staff was very cordial. Let me know that they offered breakfast lunch dinner also they have a little convenience Mart. You can access 24 seven offers chips water, Band-Aid sunscreen, aspirin. The rooms are spacious. They’re clean. They have bathtubs if you’d like to take a bath lots of pillows on the bed. AC works nice view.
- 5/5
Very clean and organized and very safe
- 5/5
When I entered the 1st room, I hear the toilet running. I knew the water was running from the tank. I went back down to the lobby if I can change my room.1st room given to me had a broken toilet. Went down stairs to change rooms, but was told to wait for maintenance to fix the toilet. It will take 20 minutes. I waited then ask if I can go back up to room. They haven’t done anything yet. I was then assigned another room. Kevin who was at the front desk reassigned my room. They apologized for the inconvenience. Very professional and courteous.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Great location to the cruise lines. Convenient shuttle as well.
- 2/5
Hotel smells horrible. The bed was so uncomfortable
- 4/5
Good location close to the cruise port but not many nearby restaurants and area a bit sketchy in places. AC noisy, Keurig machine but no decaf or cups. (Had to go to front desk to get) did have coffee in lobby after 7am. Pricy water bottles.
- 2/5
Room also smelled old and smoky… stain on one of the bedspreads… just an overall mess. Front desk attendant was nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Pleasant.
- 5/5
Breakfast was wonderful. We do wish there was enough staff to sit on the patio for breakfast. Room was great, A/C was already going so the room was nice and cool. Staff was very attentive and accommodating . Great place to stay.
- 5/5
Great option to stay to board cruise ship in morning.
- 4/5
Shower was clean and bed was comfortable. Was quiet!
- 5/5
Organize the lobby during pick up for cruises, the lobby was elbow to elbow people
- 4/5

- 3/5
Shuttle was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest problem with the property is the condition of the bathroom specifically the shower area there was mold and mildew all over.
- 5/5
Clean room, easy parking area, and staff was friendly
- 1/5
Improve parking and property
- 4/5
Great place to stay before a cruise. Free shittle to the port.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
Need to be updated. Curtain were so dirty( and I took a bunch of pictures just in case I need them), I didnt even wanna touch unless i had to. Unfortunatly I had to touch the curtains. One of walls intalled full sliding glass doors, which was broken, leading to swiming pool, and gym, laundry room. I felt not so safe. I reported the front desk and asking for other room. They said fully booked. One thing I liked about this hotel was people were kind.
- 2/5
Valet parking went MIA and I had to wait 45 min before I had to go get my own car. No need to use valet.
- 2/5
The room for 4 had 2 towels, once again a trip to the front desk, as our room phone didn’t work. I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness, even a water glass at breakfast looked like it had mold covering the inside of it. Will not return!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel location at the Port. Great rooms, friendly, competent staff. A little pricey, but very convenient.
- 2/5

We called in advance confirmed our room and that we were on our way and upon arrival they gave our room away. Put us into a different room that had a lot of issues including broken sockets, unclean/missing bedding, missing towels, backing up sinks and much more. Will not recommend to anyone.
- 3/5
Definitely in need of some upkeep. Rooms ok but not real clean. Found the shuttle more than an uber when 3 or more guests travelling to cruise port. Breakfast from the menu was fantastic.

Not up to par.
- 3/5
The front desk staff Kevin is very friendly and helpful, he helped us very professionally and patient
- 5/5
Parking was a bit hard to find in the structure I would say that was the only downside. Pool was nice, staff was nice and so was the bar and food. Dog friendly
- 5/5
Stayed here night before our cruise very nice room, great restaurant/bar Área shuttle to ship was easy. Will definitely stay here again
- 5/5
It would be nice to have a place in the hotel for lunch.
- 3/5
Close to cruise ship . Rooms need a lot of upgrades . Room 726 was so noisy due to the air conditioning fan . Pay lots for a sub standard room.
- 2/5
Did not live up to its ratings. The items that helped their ratings was the staff and cruise shuttle.
- 1/5
Room was dirty
- 3/5
Hotel was full so long queues at check in as not enoigh staff. Arrived early so waited 3 hrs for room tho staff were not very helpful in checking options. Hotel looks and feels a bit dated & tired and rooms need refresh. Basic ammenties provided. Hotel ok for overnight stay as near to cruise terminal so easy walk or shuttle available. Would normally expect better quality from Crowne Plaza brand hence a bit disappointing. Rather expensive for the quality & service .
- 5/5
Great staff and very friendly
- 5/5
Great location for pre-cruise night. Very comfortable bed, cleanbathroom,
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and clean, comfortable rooms great location to cruise port
- 2/5
We were only there one night so I didn’t see any point in complaining. I just writing this review so others can make an informed decision. I travel extensively for work but this time it was for a vacation cruise. I thought booking a Crown Plaza would be nice treat for my wife, unfortunately the room was well worn and needed a complete overhaul. if you don’t believe me then find out for yourself. My list is long I’m not exaggerating, the arm chair beside the bed was dirty and stained, there was a crack in the ceiling above the headboard, the tv didn’t work, the shower curtain was frail at the bottom, cracked bathroom sink, there was a hole in the bathroom wall that they tried to cover with a switch plate that was too small. I’m sorry for the horrible review, I just chalk it up to an expensive I don’t think others should have to go through. On one final note the first room I was assigned to had not been cleaned and the bed covers were still a mess. My room was 717.
- 4/5
Clean nice staff
- 3/5
To see we were in a suite, I expected wayyyy more! The pics don’t justify how the suites look! They med to be updated! Old furniture, smelly carpet and notjing lukethw view that I expected from the pics. As nice as the lobby is, I definitely expected so much more!
- 5/5
Nice place, huge room.
- 4/5
Easy check in. Nice staff. There was an alarm that was sounding overnight somewhere in the hotel that was annoying but not sure if it was on the property. Only complaint
- 4/5
Room was clean. Coffee maker didn't work but a replacement was provided.
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable, staff was great. Close to the cruise port.
- 3/5
Up freezer food that we were told to buy because of the restaurant being closed for the day . To find out we do not have a microwave in our room or in the main lobby . We had no phone that would work to call the desk and when shower notices no Face clothes . We were told We would get a free shuttle to our cruise ship For the inconvenience. This was nice , but I thought it was free to begin with
- 4/5
Room was fine and the service was good. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room. Good location. Great staff
- 5/5
Clean room, great location for walking to restaurants and close to cruise ship terminal. Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
We flew in before our cruise and stayed 2 nights. We chose this hotel for the proximity to the cruise terminal. They have a shuttle (with a fee) we enjoyed the convenience. The hotel is also in a great location for exploring San Pedro. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful 5 stars for the staff! They have a small convenience store- totally overpriced but there is a little mom and pop convenience store around the corner. They have a bar and dining area—we went to the bar for happy hour each evening- great drinks! The bartender was awesome. Enjoyed the pool area as well meet some nice people at the hot tub! The only down side were the outdated hotel rooms- they desperately need a refresh. So depending on what you are looking for— if you need an updated room—not the place for you— if you’re looking for proximity to everything it is perfect! We enjoyed our stay and would go back again. Would have given 5 stars if the rooms were updated.
- 4/5
Great location, and friendly staff
- 3/5
Great customer service and house keepers but hotel was hardly up to par with basic accommodations. No lobby coffee, no vending machines on the floors only 1 market in the lobby. No thermostat in room to control temperature. Hot water faucet was broken in room. No room service.
- 4/5
Clean room, good mattess, weird TV placement, had to turn it on the dresser to see it from either the sofa or the bed - the TV was on a cabinet facing the bathroom! FSofa and chair should be updated.
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Ac not working
- 5/5
The clean room and friendly staff. Location to cruise terminal.
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 3/5
Room had alot of wear and tear, can tell its a busy hotal without time to get in and replace or repair. Time for a refresh. Staff was friendly and helpfull
- 1/5
I love your hotel and the amenities. But this last stay was gross. Our sink kept filling up with nasty water. Cockroaches out by the pool as well
- 5/5
Very clean! Staff are great! GREAT place to stay before/after your cruise!! Breakfast buffet is phenomenal!! Ifcruising on Norwegian Bliss you can walk to your ship
- 2/5
Outlets were non-functional. USB Ports were non-functional. Signs on each floor specifying ice machine locations led us on a wild goose chase - turns out there were no ice machines. Hotel is extremely mismanaged by Corporate. Will NEVER book any of their properties.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff fast.
- 1/5
Air conditioning did not work at all. My husband went to front desk and notified staff. They sent technician who came and checked it and said he reset but still didn’t work. Husband went back to front desk and asked to be moved. They said hotel was full and couldn’t move us. The lady offered a free breakfast (which we already had) and said she would send up a fan. No fan was sent to our room! Total failure from the front desk staff that night.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room. Close to amenities.
- 2/5
We waited 2 and a half hours in line to check in after a long travel day to get there. Irresponsible to not allow people to check in early if rooms are available. Asinine you didn’t have more employees during the check-in process, especially since this seems to be a prevailing issue. I have never been to a hotel does it this way, 4:00 check-in for every one. Massive rush of people checking in. If you pre register you are still in a longer line. People were confused and frustrated and got in both. I will look elsewhere next time for hotel accommodations. Note: This was for a Pre-cruise booking. Per an employee, it's been going on for over two years the day before a cruise.
- 2/5
understood. When we returned our room was still not available & the older woman at the check in told us she didn’t know when it would be avaliable. She was not accommodating at all. After waiting quite a while we approached Triana who was very helpful and told us our room was avaliable. If we would not have approached Triana who knows how long we would hsve waited. Also we did not receive breakfast vouchers although other guests did.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable. Property in some disrepair
- 5/5
Staff was great! Helpful. Very nice, very great access to San Pedro Fish Market, Maritime Museum, Battleship Iowa and most importantly: the cruise ship terminal! Yes they provide shuttles! We’ll be back!
- 3/5
Service is ok, don’t expect too much and you will be fine. The hotel needs updating and to offer better amenities
- 1/5
The place was way over priced. The rooms need up grades and better cleaning. There was hair on my bed. The staff was good and the food was excellent
- 3/5
The restaurant was surprisingly good. Staff there excellent
- 5/5
Easy reception. Room ready immediately. Was helpful with restaurants and transportation to cruise terminal.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was very tasty.
- 5/5
Lovely up and coming spot beautiful bay views available
- 3/5
The Junior Suite was large and comfortable. The furniture was good, but dated. Lots of light from many windows. The problem was that it took almost an hour to check in. There were only 2 people on check in, another woman at the desk flitted in and out but didn’t help.
- 1/5
this was terrible from check-in to the time that I left. It was a very expensive yet outdated old and musty room. discoloration and stains. The check-in process was over 2 hours of standing in line with roughly 200 other people that were just as angry and frustrated as I was. once I got from my room the night was extremely loud chaotic It did not seem like anybody was hushing anyone after the 10:00 hour. I was up all night. But even if the guests outside were quiet, the sirens from the ghetto next door cried out through the night one right after another. It was a lot. thank goodness it was just for one night
- 3/5
There were no washcloths in the bathroom, no bathmat for the bathtub and the air-conditioning was very noisy. We also could not figure out how to get the menu showing all the channels for the TV to come up and stay so we could pick one we tried to call for help but nobody answered the phone. We called twice.
- 5/5
Has gotten pretty expensive but, still nicely located, clean, safe and had a wonderful map in their do I g room
- 5/5
Clean and well maintained room. Friendly service. Good location.
- 2/5
We booked 3 rooms for a 1 night stay. It was late and there wasn't anything close by to eat at so my daughter bought a pizza for $12 in the convenience store of the hotel. There was not a microwave in the room so she went back to the store. There was a sign that said to asks the front desk for a microwave. She was told they'd bring one to the room. After 45 min, she was still waiting. She called down to the front desk and was told it was on the way. After waiting another 15 minutes, there was still no microwave. It took over an hour to get the microwave. We were leaving on a cruise the next day and the main reason we booked this hotel was because they offered a shuttle to the cruise terminal. Our shuttle was to pick us up at noon for our 12:30 check in time. I was told it was just a 5 min ride to the pier and leaving at noon was plenty of time. The cost was $11 per person for the 8 people in our group. We were waiting for the shuttle by 11:30. The shuttle for another cruise ship came and went a couple time but ours never showed up. By noon was still not there. When I asked the front desk when it was coming I was told it was on the way. When I asked again when it would come I was told it was on the way. I asked if they were in communication with the driver to which I was told that wasn't possible. The shuttle never showed up so we had to call an Uber. If you are thinking of taking the shuttle, don't - call Uber. It's much cheaper and more reliable. Wouldn't stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice location
- 3/5
Disappointed for a Crown Plaza Hotel. Very dated. Jr Suite room had a nice harbor view. Loads of room inside. Buffet was good. Can also order from a menu. Wait times as be long to be seated
- 3/5
Close to the port where cruise ships dock. The hotel shuttle to the ship isn’t free though. It costs $20. Friendly staff. The hotel is showing its age. The paint is peeling in some areas, Our room didn’t have an armchair to sit on and the sheets didn’t feel crisp and fresh. They also didn’t provide a towel to step on after taking a shower so we used a face towel for that purpose.shower
- 4/5
Spacious lobby
- 1/5
When we walked in to this hotel the ceiling was leaking, this hotel was too expensive for what it was. Not well kept and I would never stay here again.
- 4/5
All the staff members we interacted with were friendly responded quickly with any of our requests. Having access to the port shuttle was perfect for our cruise (additional charge for shuttle but worth it).
- 5/5
Everything and Everyone was great.
- 5/5
Clean accessible room with Keurig machine for a welcome cup of coffee after a long travel day.
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
Great place, lots of close restaurants and close to the port.
- 5/5
I didnt use the laundry service. Food was good a little pricey but good
- 5/5
Friendly front desk, food and service at the restaurant was amazing, rooms and bed were comfortable. Outdoor pool looked fun (we didn’t have the time to use it), location was great. We were able to go to all the nearby attractions and it was fun!!
- 5/5
We checked in early and was given our room straight away
- 1/5
Gave away our room then magically 2 hours later they had a room
- 2/5
No hot water in the entire hotel. They kept checking people in despite this fact
- 2/5
But room is clean, great harbor view, restaurants close by. But don’t plan on a shower. We stayed here specifically to get shuttle ride to cruise port. But only one shuttle at 9:00. Way too early. Uber for $10 though. Recommend another hotel folks.
- 2/5
There is no hot water available in the rooms and the shuttle service to the cruise ship was booked when we checked in.
- 3/5
Ready booked full. Many complaints from others booked. Breakfast buffet was $27.00 that is to expensive. A money grubbing hotel.
- 3/5
Great dinner and breakfast. Room nice but shower luke warm
- 4/5
Comfortable room but furniture is dated. Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Room was very nice and staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
This hotel is ideal for a pre-cruise stay. There are great restaurants in the area, plus the hotel has a lovely happy hour. The staff are outstanding and always helpful. Walking distance to the port, but there is a shuttle for a small fee available, too.
- 4/5
Clean. Friendly staff. No tv in living / entertainment room. Nice view of port. Close to a couple of restaurants.
- 2/5
I have a $225.00 parking bill I’m trying to deal with . They use Parking management . Com. What a scam. I stayed one night. Never again!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. It was nice to have an onsite restaurant and bar.
- 2/5
We’re usually not ones to complain but our room was not that clean. One of the beds was doused in some sort of perfume or air freshener which enveloped the room. Our toilet clogged and water went all over the floor, did not appear to be our fault, and the maintenance person plunged the toilet but left the water everywhere.
- 4/5
Grad a room. Didn't like the parking Charges.
- 3/5
Nice property. Great buffet breakfast. Room not ready for hours, not enough staff at check in, had to go up to find our why we never got text that room was ready ans it was.
- 1/5
Sewage came up through the shower. The carpets were worn through in places mildew was growing on grout in the shower. Would not recommend and I would expect this hotel to begin renovations ASAP.
- 5/5
Good place to stay
- 3/5
Great location, staff very friendly. Unfortunately there was no safe in our room which was a nuisance, apparently they are waiting for a delivery! Also the extractor fan in the bathroom was stuck on the whole time, was quite noisy. We did ask the front desk who were very helpful and sent someone straight up to have a look, but he couldn’t sort it either!
- 4/5
Room was nice.
- 5/5
This is a go to hotel when taking cruise ships out of the Port of Los Angeles. Clean and close by the cruise ship terminals.
- 5/5
Great for pre cruise
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent and cleaning staff was superb.
- 2/5
The water flow in the shower was very low and the tiles need to be replace or correctly cleaned. The staff were good, by the room felt tired.
- 4/5
Good buffet
- 5/5
Quick efficient check in. Room was ready for us at 10:15am which was a nice unexpected treat after flying.
- 4/5
The room was clean, and the staff was nice. The front desk was prompt even though they were very busy. Overall, I had a good experience.
- 3/5
Old outdated rooms. Our door had knives cut marks in the door. The couch had wrong size couch cushions with tears in them. Wall paper peeling
- 4/5
Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Clean room and hotel. Great reception staff. Only negative thing to note was a dirty shower towel we found when checked in and had to look for maid twice to replace it.
- 5/5
There was a room ready and she let us check in early!!
- 5/5
Quick and easy.
- 3/5
Overall, a decent stay, but be aware of the cruise shuttle fees. Despite calling ahead to arrange transport to the port—as instructed—I wasn't informed that the shuttle costs $10 per person for a 5-minute ride. It was disappointing to only find out about this extra charge upon arrival.
- 2/5
We booked a junior suite. We got a hallway with a bed at the end. Toilet barely worked. Check in time was 45 minutes with a long line and only one agent.
- 5/5
Locations proximity to the Royal Caribbean port was great! The carpet in hallways needs to be stretched for luggage to roll easily.
- 5/5
The room was neat and the staff were courteous and helpful.
- 4/5
It was clean.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
No room available at check in time No place to store luggage Thermostat sucks
- 3/5
The fan motor was making noise. The tile looked old and dirty in the shower.
- 5/5
The room was clean and really close to the cruise port. The free shuttle service was great and the front desk staff was kind. I will be staying here for my next cruise.
- 5/5
Amazing service, rooms need an uplift though. Check in was seamless and personalized, and breakfast was delish.
- 2/5
The check-in person gave my room to another person without checking id’s. The hotel was at max capacity so there was no other room they could give me except a downgrade from the room I paid For. I ended up taking the 2 queen beds instead of the king bed I paid for because the security had to wake those people up to have them show their ids so she could figure out what room they were in and give that room to me. It was such an inconvenience at 1 am in the morning. I wont Be staying here again and I wont Be recommending this hotel at all.
- 5/5
Amazing room.
- 5/5
Did not ear breakfast here, is a bit costly when I checked the prices, but lots I f food choices within walking distance
- 5/5
Excellent food Courteous staff
- 3/5
I’m not sure if they are understaffed or if it was just unexpectedly busy but when we arrived there was a line of maybe 10 people waiting it took us 20 minutes or longer to get checked in. Then for dinner it took over an hour for our food to come out after we ordered and all the waitstaff looked over busy. Food was really good once it arrived.
- 5/5
Very close to cruise terminal, grat stay day before our cruise
- 5/5
Breakfast was ok service was ok
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was close to restaurants off site and close to the port. I would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
All around really bad. Waited hours to get our room, we were after 4pm also. No towels in our room. Room dirty. No towels at the pool. The shuttle price was twice as much as they told me it was when i called before our trip to confirm price, so they outright lied. Parking was a pain and expensive. Didnt have a key so we couldnt use the bathroom as we waited.for our room.in the lobby. Very expensive breakfast. Limited TV channels. The list goes on and on. Will not stay here for my future cruises.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, the room was clean, nice view.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, hotel its self was fine, no continental breakfast . However down the street was a good teahouse that had good breakfast sandwhiches. My only complaint was the shuttle service to the ports (which appare n tly is a 3rd party service) we paid for round trip, to the port was
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 1/5
Booked King bed switched upon arrival to queen. Told would receive free shuttle to port. Charged 22.00 on credit card. Not impressed…
- 5/5
Location is ideal if you are cruising. I highly recommend Crazy Fish that is in walking distance. Enjoyed the hotel thoroughly.
- 5/5
Excelent service from your staff.
- 2/5
The front door was scratched. The toilet was running before we even used it. Duct tape on the sink pipe. The room was constantly muggy. BLOOD on the curtain!!!!! Early check in was impossible. There was only one hand towel in the room when we checked in. No bath towels or wash clothes. Only one wash cloth was given the next morning when there were TWO people in the room. Not nearly enough parking in the garage. The fact that there was a marketplace with candy not yet expired is the only reason I don't consider this a motel.
- 4/5
First room had cockroaches, and the room was run down, they quickly swapped me to a better room.
- 1/5
Room was in terrible condition. Hallways were unkempt. One person at desk for check in with a huge lineup. No towels at pool, even though sign in room says that there would be. Upholstery on chair was filthy and worn. Wood furniture was all battered up. Very disappointing!
- 1/5
Shower tub doesnt drain. No amenities in bathroom.
- 1/5
Waited an hour to check in.
- 1/5
I didn’t stay there but they keep wanting reviews. I had to cancel but would not refund my $ because of third party reservation. So I called the third party and they blamed the hotel for no refund! My suggestion is not to use third parties and go straight to hotel for reservation! I got the run around.
- 4/5
More staff needed at front desk. Long line to check in. Restaurant staff were amazing. Room was nice and clean.
- 5/5
The bed was kind of lumpy and the pillows way to soft the staff however was absolutely 100 percent great. We did pop in the food for Breakfast did not look appetizing at all and way to Pricey.
- 4/5
Room was fantastic and the staff was great. Breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was offered. The same is free at many hotels I go to. The pool was small but well maintained.
- 5/5
Spacious, clean, breakfast was great.
- 5/5
10/10 would stay here again
- 2/5
Checking In- described by the front desk woman like pre check was just a trick to hook me up on a hotels reward program. Second one: few hours later I received message that my room is ready, waiting 30 min on the line when reached to the desk, I was told that only one room is ready, my reservation was for two (2) rooms already paid and we had to wait another hour to get the keys and my party was sent on different floor. Third problem we encountered was the bathroom in the second room was left without towels, and after going to the front desk, I received only smiles, at 7:00 pm the problem was not resolved, hopefully I met accidentally the housekeeper on the upper floor an she gave us towels.
- 3/5
Hotel is dated and sound proofing is not the best. Bathtub/shower was high and deep so one had to be careful getting in and out. Sofa cushions needed a good cleaning. However the staff, service and breakfast buffet were all excellent.
- 3/5
Hotel is a bit run down and underwhelming relative to cost per night. Hotel "gym" was missing most of the equipment and free weights. Hot water was not working for several hours of my stay. Everything was clean, relatively speaking, but this property feels due for a refresh or reimagining.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff, Hotel is in a great location. Had a nice stay.
- 5/5
It was a great hotel to stay at for a cruise!
- 3/5
Check in even late at night went really smooth. The staff was courteous and professional. The room hadn't been vacuumed. There was debris and a pen cap in plain open site. I took a picture and we'll attach if I can. The room overall is in desperate need of a refresh. A chair was missing a chunk of the faux leather. The furniture was scratched up pretty bad from years of use. The electrical outlet could barely hold the plug and it fell out several times. It was really disappointing for a crowned plaza. We only had one drying towel in our room and no wash cloths.
- 5/5
Big clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 4/5
I was overall happy with the hotel except that the elevators weren’t working properly and the cost of the shuttle to the cruise port is higher than it should be considering the proximity.
- 1/5
Took about an hour standing in line to get checked in, reservation was in wrong name, so check in delayed even longer. Get into room and find a big fan in floor running wide open, call front desk to inquire about it, no answer. So, i have to go back downstairs to desk and I am told oh don't worry about its normal. So go back up to room and housekeeping comes later and gets fan, said they were working in room earlier and got hot in there, OK whatever. Beds are terrible was in double bed room and smallest beds i ever slept in. 3 adults in room, had 1 washrag and 2 towels in bathroom. Trying to leave in the morning and elevators are not working, waited 20 minutes elevator. Took stairs down from 5th floor with suitcases in tow to ground floor, open door and I'm outside on backside of building, what. Come back in and try elevator finally 1 working and make it to desk to check out, once again long line to check out, toss room key on counter and leave, never to return here again.
- 4/5
Good location for cruise terminal
- 3/5
We didn’t eat the breakfast buffet because it was 35.00 a person for just a normal hotel breakfast. The room was dated and needs some attention. The staff was ok. The First Lady we talked to was very rude but the man that checked us in was nice.
- 5/5
Security is foremost. Key card required to use elevators.
- 1/5
Elevator was broken for 2 days had to carry bags 5 flights of stairs both ways.
- 4/5
Super friendly and we’re able to check in early. We found it hard to get out of the hotel by stairs. We had to wait a very very long time for an elevator. We understand it was a lot of cruise passengers. But there should have been an option ti exit by stairs without setting off alarms.
- 5/5
All was perfect!
- 5/5
Rooms clean. Did not use laudry or have breakfast
- 5/5
Always stay here when we cruise out of Long Beach.
- 5/5
The staff were extremely patient and friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was very good.
- 1/5
There was a perpetual line of 10+ people to speak to reception. Check in process is terrible. Understaffed. Elevators are crowded and stopped on every floor. If you are in the vicinity because this hotel is close to your cruise departure at the marina, do yourself a favor and find a better hotel in the nearby area.
- 1/5
Just rating check in which took 60 minutes due to only one staff member being on duty for check in.
- 5/5
Staff were very pleasant, exceptional service from Miguel who checked us in, must be an awful job, dealing with travel weary guests but he was wonderful. Room very clean, bed very comfy, pool nice. Good safe area to walk around. Very nice, we would stay there again. Is it fancy and new? No but very well taken care of and had all the amenities I would need. FYI they have a shuttle to the cruise ship you need to book 24 hours in advance (do it when you check in) for $11.00 each but no airport shuttle. UBER charged us $70, not sure what the taxis charge.
- 5/5
Yes. Room was super big and spacious.
- 5/5
Nice welcome, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Shout out to Pedro at the restaurant for making our breakfast an enjoyable time!
- 2/5
Waited long to check in and waited for someone to see us at breakfast. No one even came to tell us that it would be a minute. We just sat there.
- 5/5
Every member of the staff we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Seems like an added bonus to the trip. This hotel is in a good location for cruisers and we found a number of good places to eat including the hotel restaurant. It is close to the harbor which was fun to walk around. They have a shuttle to the cruise ships that you can sign up for when you get here. We would stay here again.
- 3/5
Only 1 elevator was running a day.
- 4/5
The front desk staff was exceptionally nice, the building and grounds were very clean as well as the room, the room was exactly how it was pictured and described, and the best part is there’s an enterprise drop off location right in the back of the hotel. So for 75 additional dollars you can leave your rental car there. I would have given five stars but getting checked in took like 45 minutes and after traveling all day, that was terrible.
- 4/5
Staff very friendly
- 5/5
The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The room was large and most importantly clean. We used the shuttle to take to the cruise port and they were also wonderful. Would highly recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
DO NOT BOOK PARKING ONLINE. Hotel staff advised that the rate is cheaper on property at $20/day. There was only one operating elevator. We used the button to go to our floor, but a staff person showed up and pushed a button outside of the only operating one to call the elevator to the floor. No signage for operable elevator(s) OR what needed to be done to call the elevator to the lobby. As a cruise terminal hotel I heard the day of the cruise, there was only one operable elevator. Fortunately we were only on the 2nd floor, but the stairs exited to the top of the road down to the lower level garage. There were no closets in our junior suite. The property is okay, but maybe a bit high for $300/night price point.
- 5/5
Miguel at the desk was awesome. Helpful, friendly and efficient. Great representation of the brand.
- 2/5
Restaurant was closed, I had prepaid reservation and they tried charging me again for the room. It’s old and smells- thank god the window could be cracked open. The parking is a whole thing!
- 3/5
On check-in, the receptionists seemed overwhelmed and since this hotel deals with a lot of cruise passengers, staffing and training could be better: do not ask why someone needs a handicapped accessible room! Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the AC struggled. On arrival, the room was 85 degrees; we blasted the AC but the coolest it got was 78. We were on a high floor so opened windows helped but the bathroom was very hot all the time. The coffee maker worked and there was a nice selection of tea and coffee but it was in an awkward spot, a cubby under the TV so hard to access. There was no free coffee or tea in the lobby which I found odd because even low end hotels have free coffee. The restaurant was closed for unknown reasons but there was a breakfast available, not free but we ate out with friends so I don’t know the quality. We stayed 2 nights and on our first full day there, there were issues with the elevators, which happens but appeared slow to be addressed. It felt like there could be staffing issues. All in all, the housekeeping was very good, maintenance needs improvement and more staffing at reception during busy hours. We have stayed at Crowne Plazas around the country and I feel this one needs more attention.
- 5/5
Great place to stay if you are boarding cruise ship!
- 5/5
Our stay was only for a few hours, but everything was great for the time we were there.
- 4/5
Hotel was perfect for our quick overnight stay.
- 4/5
Good for cruise terminal
- 2/5
The elevators 1 of all 4 elevators were not functioning. The wait on the one elevator was really long. Really an inconvenience as we were still doing preparation for the ruise the next day. All that was bad .So the next daytrying to leave for the port when trying to leave to the port w
- 3/5
Clean room but not well lit and some lights did not work
- 2/5
In the room there were several issues: the blackout curtains didn’t close leaving a 1.5 foot gap because one was stuck and without a wand; there was only 1 hand towel and no wash clothes; the phone wasn’t working; the TV wasn’t working. After contacting the front desk on my personal phone, a repairman came and fixed the TV (Housekeeping unplugged it), the blackout curtain unstuck, and the phone volume fixed. My room keys were activated for only 1 night instead of the 2 nights I’d booked creating difficulty because only 1 of 4 elevators worked and there were many guests (cruising) with lots of luggage crowding the elevator making getting from 8th floor to front desk to get new keys. The 2nd night I asked for housekeeping to bring me the needed towels/wash clothes and after contacting front desk twice and waiting over an hour, at 9:40pm, I told front desk to cancel housekeeping because I was going to bed!
- 2/5
The elevators were not working properly. The hotel is understaffed, I felt sorry for the staff who had to put up with all the unhappy customers.
- 3/5
Quality factor low
- 3/5
We were allowed early check in which was great! However only one elevator was working in whole hotel.
- 3/5
Room needs an update - elevators not working well tonight so lots of issues with room access
- 2/5
I thought it was run down for $300 a night
- 3/5
Room was ok and clean
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Beautiful property in a great area . So much in walking distance! Amenities are all great, including the bar & restaurant.
- 5/5
We stayed the night before our cruise. The hotel was clean, easy to find, and right by the cruise port. The room was clean and there are restaurants in walking distance.
- 1/5
Air conditioning did not work in room. Front desk attendant did not give us the coupons for breakfast. We had to go ask. Shuttle was expensive. Website indicated free
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room and very convenient location.
- 5/5
It was perfect if you were going to cruise out of there. They had a shuttle and everything
- 5/5
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This location worked very well for us to get on our cruise ship.
- 4/5
Clean room hotel showing its age. Needs more maintenance. We had maintenance there twice in two days problem never fixed.
- 5/5
Great customer service and clean room. Nice amenities.
- 5/5
Clean room. Efficient check in
- 1/5
We only had one bath towel in the room when we checked in.
- 5/5
Easy check in room ready early
- 5/5
Location was convenient.
- 4/5
Everything seems a bit dated. Curtains didn't work easily. Not enough light in the room

Very noisey next to bathroom
- 1/5
Terribly overpriced to only receive so little.
- 4/5
The room was beautiful!!! The only problem was I couldn't check in until 3:30pm and It was supposed to be 10:30am. I had to hang out in the area until I could check in. They did allow me to leave my luggage, which I appreciated.
- 4/5
Checking in was terrible. Huge lineup with only 1 man working. Waiting 45 minutes was unacceptable. Restaurant was good. Shuttle service to cruise ship was $10. Per person. Ship was really close, next time we’d take an uber or taxi as by the time we checked in there were only 2 times left to get the shuttle. (9 am or 12 o’clock)
- 3/5
Hair in bathtub. Older hotel, the floor we were on had a “bow” to the floor. We felt like we were walking in a funhouse. Furniture was outdated in the room and didn’t really want to sit on it.
- 1/5
So how there was a double booking and the hotel refuses to give me credit or a refund. One of the bookings was never used and though I called the day off , they are refusing to help me.
- 5/5
They had my room ready before the check in time. Hotel offers hotel shuttle to the ports for $10 a person. Very pleasant stay
- 1/5
More importantly, ther housekeeping staff stole my wife’s pendant. When we contacted the front desk and then the manager, they “found” the pendant, and said it had been in the garbage. The housekeeping staff rifled through our belongings to find the pendant prior to stealing it. The attitude of the manager was completely unacceptable, and dishonest. Stay away from this place.
- 3/5
Outdated hallways and room.
- 5/5
If you are going on a cruise this place is a great place to stay. It is close to the dock. Provided transportation and parking during the duration of our cruise.
- 4/5
Professional
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room! Close to cruise terminal and friendly check-in staff...
- 1/5
Waited in line to check in for 1.5hrs on Sunday 10/5 430pm- 600pm.
- 5/5
I usually stay at the Double Tree in San Pedro but from now on it's Crowne Plaza. Way nicer and much better maintained. Good breakfast buffet, restaurant, bar and convenience store too.
- 4/5
The check in was terrible. check in time was 4 p.m. and they stayed with that time. except some people got early check in. there were people waiting since 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. no sheet to track those and they should have check in priority over walk ins. should have 1 clerk checking in those who had been waiting and another clerk for walk ins. we had to wait until after 4:15 to get a room. walkins were getting rooms at 3:30. need a better plan and stick with it for everyone.
- 5/5
The only thing i was concerned about was when i went to my car early in the morning there was a homeless person sleeping on the floor in front of my car.
- 3/5
Hotel is a great location to catch a cruise. San Pedro is a quaint city and with cool shops. Check out Raffaels Italian restaurant- was delicious! Could have done without the blood stain on the pillow case.
- 3/5
I’m sorry to say, but the entire floor that I was staying on smelled like marijuana and there was smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke in my room both nights even after they sprayed air freshener in the hallway and in my room
- 4/5
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
- 2/5
First time staying at this location and we will never stay here again. We arrived at check in time to a lobby full of about 30-40 people also waiting to check in. Service was extremely slow. Once we got to our floor, the hallways smelled like weed. Our toilet didn’t flush and our shower was leaking. I informed the front desk who said ok, sorry about that, but never offered a new room or sent anyone to look at it. Hotel room appeared to be older, stains on carpet and chipped wood on furniture. The gym was closed due to “maintenance “ during our entire stay and the store with snacks and items was also closed the entire stay. Will not stay here again and would not recommend. Although the location is nice due to being close to the cruise port, this was a terrible experience and not won’t stay again.
- 5/5
Great locations close to world cruise center. Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Ganka, in the Blu restaurant, was OUTSTANDING.
- 5/5
Quiet clean I’ll stay and recommend to family and friends.
- 1/5
Check in was a nightmare. It was disorganized and painfully slow. Only 2 counters opened, manned by 2 harassed employees while the lobby was over flowing with guests and their luggage which cannot be stored by the hotel. There was no porter or concierge to handle this simple problem.
- 3/5
This isn’t a two star priced hotel!
- 3/5
Restaurant was way over price. Bed was uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Restaurant open late
- 5/5
The front desk person, Kevin, was amazing. He was super friendly and really helpful and knowledgeable..
- 5/5
Nice all around stay
- 5/5
Went for cruise, love the bus connection to the cruude
- 5/5
Beds are uncomfortable. I was there 9-8-26.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay prior to getting on a cruise.
- 5/5
Great view
- 1/5
I was charged $275.00 after having diarrhea in the bed. I was told that if I would’ve brought it up to them they would’ve covered it..I was also told that the bed had blood everywhere, which is not true. To clean the bedding properly it cost me $275.00 I wish I wouldn’t have been embarrassed by having diarrhea and spoke to them about it, apparently they would have not charged me.
- 5/5
The room is nice and clean. The service are great
- 5/5
Great place to stay if going on a cruise from the port of LA.
- 3/5
I liked the location and the restaurant inside the hotel however issues with our phone not working and the room next door trying to open the adjoining door late at night did not make for a pleasant stay
- 5/5
Great location to the cruise port and food
- 4/5
Overall good stay, i think a hotel like this should have a safe and maybe a microwave
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. It's very clean and the rooms are spacious. I'll definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay staff very friendly, room was comfortable & very clean. My husband & I had breakfast in the hotel every morning & we would sit outside to have our coffee after we ate & it was so peaceful & relaxing. Definitely recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The room was clean ,quiet with easy access to parking.
- 5/5
Close to destination and very clean!
- 1/5
Hello, there was people outside at the property next-door that were making noise all the way into the morning and they were very disruptive. In addition the staff at the front desk was very rude about the $100 hold on my card and very unclear it still has not been returned to my card. I was informed that the desk that there were no extra charges at the time of checkout yet they refuse to provide any documentation.
- 5/5
Ashtrays out front need emptied. Otherwise everything looks good.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Place is great!
- 4/5
Staff are very helpful. Rooms are a bit dated.
- 5/5
It was close to many great activities.
- 3/5
Room had ridiculously loud ac unit. Sounded like a diesel generator. They sent a maintenance person immediately. He couldn’t fix. Place was sold out so they couldn’t get me another room. Would not comp the room. They gave me 4 free breakfast passes for my family. Other than that, I had no complaints.
- 5/5
The Staff Was Amazing , The Room I Was In Was Amazing The Whole Hotel Was Beautiful & I Can Tell That The Staff Really Cares About Their Customers & Willing To Make Sure Their Guests Have A Great Welcomed Stay I’d For Sure Will Be Back, So Thanks To All The Staff That Works At The Crowne Plaza You Guys Are Amazing
- 5/5
Perfect stay
- 3/5
Property really needs to be updated
- 4/5
Location was great. Housekeeping was tardy on a working iron. But that's it. Loved Lynn front desk. Great people skills!
- 5/5
This was a great experience. Very large rooms (especially for the LA area), solid daily breakfast, VERY kind and attentive service, and good amenities. The rooms are dated, but very clean. The employees really set this location apart. Every person we interacted was kind, attentive, and very helpful. A very family friendly space nestled in a cute and safe neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
This is a great location if you’re looking for a hotel close to the cruise port. It’s actually within walking distance of you choose to walk, but they also offer a shuttle that’s $11 pp. There are multiple places to eat w/in walking distance which makes it very convenient when you’ve been traveling all day. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area or looking for something close to the cruise port.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. Hotel is old, dated, dirty, broken furniture.
- 5/5
Great place and clean
- 4/5
The area was nice enough to walk around outside.
- 2/5
Probably one of the worst Crown Plaza's that I've stayed at. The staff was decent, but not very knowledgeable I asked for directions to somewhere walkable to eat, the guy behind the counter looked like he had no idea where he was. Anyway, aside from that, the bathroom was gross, 1st the shower handle was falling off and leaking, 2nd there was mold in the caulking of the bathtub and shower area. The food was good, but I thought it was complementary, not only that, but over priced.
- 5/5
Great personal service.
- 4/5
I stayed here for a couple of nights while between cruises. Not only was the hotel able to hold my luggage til my room was ready, but my room was ready by 1pm which was wonderful. Checkout was a breeze, and I was in an uber to my next cruise very fast. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 4/5
good hotel
- 5/5
Received room upgrade. Fantastic view West-North. Thank you.
- 5/5
Only grip is that finding the underground parking was kind of a pain but other the that it was great.
- 2/5
We stayed overnight for a cruise, never again very old and dirty.
- 4/5
The interior of the hotel was clean and inviting. Plus, the staff was friendly and helpful. The underground parking garage was a different story, dirty and poorly lit.
- 2/5
Furniture dated and poor condition. Bathroom not clean items from previous guest left in the tub.
- 4/5
Although the view was fantastic, the room was very old and in need of repair. Lots of stains on the carpets and walls. We asked for towels several times and didn't receive them. Thus was after we asked ug our room could be cleaned that day and it was not. Such a bummer!
- 5/5
Close to the berth where our ship was leaving from, clean , comfortable room and beds, helpful staff.
- 3/5
Staff was kind and friendly. Room felt small but we only slept there we had a busy weekend planned. We didnt get any service, seems how we only asked for extra towels and toilet paper. I guessed maybe they just didnt do service like that although front desk did say they would bring it right up. Other than that the parking was a little set up weird but figured it out.
- 4/5
Although the view and location was great, the property is very worn down.
- 4/5
The room was a little dated but nice , carpet torn , nice view from windows , staff was friendly
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Pleasant employees
- 2/5
Room was dated. For example, the mirror was rusted, and the furniture looks old. The price was really high for how dated the room was. Personnel was very kind though.
- 3/5
This time however, was not quite as great. We called in advance because we heard they had a shuttle to the cruise port, and were told YES! But upon check in, they told us that they don't service Carnival cruise terminal specifically. Fine I guess, but annoued since I called in advance. We got into our room and the AC came on, great. Except it was either frigid or hot. Didn't matter what we selected on the thermostat. The television and remote were dumb. No easy way to just channel surf and for some reason the commercials were at a volume WAY higher than the show. On top of that, every time you changed the volume or channel it would annouce the volume level and channel, loudly! There was no changing it. Making watching TV while your partner is napping or sleeping impossible because even if the volume was low, the voice announcing the channel change was super loud. The toilet made the most annoying sound for about a minute each time you flushed it. Again, loud enough to wake a sleeping partner. The room doesn't come standard with a microwave, upon request only. Cool, except it took 2 calls and almost 2 hours to get one delivered. Also, our room didn't have any wash cloths? Like, what? I had to make another trip down stairs to be told they'd have to be delivered. Thankfully that delivery didn't take as much time as the microwave. Overall the place is just OK. We likely won't stay here again.

Nice stay

Booked a bay view room on the 4th of July hoping to have a sweeping view of the bay when the fireworks start. Their website states check-in is 4 pm so I tried to kill some time until 4. I showed up only to be told that all rooms with nice view were already taken. They have been checking guests in since 12:00. What a disappointment it was when I walked into a room on the third floor with a view of some trees and a glimpse of the ocean.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time. And we plan to go back soon
- 5/5
Loved the customer service from lobby staff. Also the staff made sure I had a room suitable for our needs. Room located on the second floor with a nation, loved!
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 4/5
Pool
- 3/5
It’s good that it is close to the cruise terminal and has a shuttle, but the hotel is run down and my room was not very clean, furniture run down and stained. The soap, shampoo bottles were empty in my room. Only 1 bath towel
- 5/5
Close to cruise ship terminal
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Have stayed here several times over the years on business. This trip was a little bit rougher. The air conditioning system failed and I had to move to another room where the AC Leaked water into the carpet. The staff was excellent taking care of me sometimes things happen.
- 5/5
Excellent check in process
- 1/5
not good
- 3/5
We stayed here for one night only based on location. The rooms need to be updated and the floor had considerable sagging, which was concerning. Only one bath towel was provided for 2 guests which we did not realize until early the morning of our departure. The desk chair is literally trash.
- 4/5
Great staff, but the furniture was a bit old and seasoned
- 5/5
Close to cruise port and walk to restaurants.
- 5/5
Very convenient for cruises.
- 5/5
Very nice location and amenities Staff was very friendly and accommodating
- 3/5
The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. This was the highpoint of our stay here.
- 5/5
They were very nice and helpful
- 5/5
great will be back
- 3/5
We liked the room arrangement but not the old, very uncomfortable bed mattresses! The hotel is in a good locaation and has the amenities we would use (pool, etc.)
- 5/5
Our staying was very pleasant and comfortable. Also, the hotel was very close to Universal Studios and this was a big plus.
- 4/5
Hotel is very convenient to port
- 3/5
The room was in sad shape with way too much wear and tear. I got a big suite and found it very depressing.
- 5/5
Everything was amazingly good
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Nice and I love the surrounding areas.
- 5/5
We crashed after long flights. Woke up to putrid smell on side of bed. No towels at all except one wash cloth and small towel. Desk help spectacular. Both when we arrived and helpful in morning. When we woke up.
- 5/5
Great and was upgraded to a suite, very quiet as well. This is my “go to” when visiting family.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful, the suite was spacious, and the beds comfortable. Our only issue was housekeeping never brought anything the first time we asked (pool towels or more towels). The room had 3 towels for 6 guests and it took two days before we got enough for each family member to have their own towel.
- 4/5
Some staff nice, some rude. Hotel pretty clean. The room looked a lot nicer in the pictures than it really was. Area around hotel was ok, a little dodgy. I stayed here because of the reasonable price of a room with a “suite”. Next time I’ll pay the extra $150.00 / night to stay somewhere nicer in a nicer area closer to downtown. This place is a solid 20 minute drive from anywhere.
- 4/5
Love how close this is to the cruise ship port - walkable and felt very safe
- 3/5
The hotel is getting old. It needs to renovate and should add app options in tv.
