Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice. Breakfast was very good and had hot options which we enjoyed.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, although we’ve stayed here many times, we likely won’t stay again. A noisy work crew that was staying there woke us up very early with laughing and talking. Our room was near the lobby. The breakfast is very poor. The rooms are never dark due to shutters and not black out curtains. The remote didn’t work well. The staff was courteous and allowed us to park in a handicapped spot because the work crew took up so many parking spots there were none left otherwise.

Be aware there is no parking unless you get there early.

We always get a quadruple room so it’s two rooms. Always clean, comfortable, love the rooms, it’s quiet and everyone is friendly. This has been our go to every month while passing through to pickup our student from college. Love that we can make coffee in our rooms when we’d like morning or night. No complaints at all. We loved everything.

I failed to request an accessible room when reserving online. The room we were given was said to be accessible. The doorways were wide, but no hand rail near toilet, in shower or anywhere else. No type of shower seat. Tile floor and cotton bath mat is a hazzard. Breakfast was good, grounds kept neat, friendly staff.

How I wish they change the Hot Menu everyday. However, everything else are good.

Clean, quiet, convenient

We loved that they offered a pool, hot tub and breakfast and all at a good location. The beds were comfortable but ours was quite squeaky. The pool was surprisingly warm and hot tub small but relaxing. Some poolside towels would have been nice instead of asking for the minimum but staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included waffles, potatoes, and sausage as well as cereal and pastries, but eggs would've been a great addition. Overall a good place to stay while visiting the beach.

The motel is very old and all furnitures look very poor . The sheets and towels were clean. Around the pool is very noisy .

I think the problem is bookings.com. Every time I went to order the room it my computer just froze and I didn’t look like I had ordered it so I ordered it again. I did this multiple times and ended up booking two rooms. On accident. I canceled one and I thought that had resolved all of them, but it turns out two were booked. I told the staff upon arrival and they said nothing. She just looked down. I thought maybe she didn’t charge me but I do know they sold that room. She should’ve given me my two keys if I had two rooms. They sold the room that I had purchased, but I must say I didn’t need it. But due to the air from booking.com I could not correct the error.

The breakfast was good and had very flexible hours. My kids loved the heated pool. We definitely recommend this hotel for families.

Staff was nice but not overly friendly. Perks for this place was it was conveniently located right by the freeway which was nice and breakfast was provided. Rooms are small and tight but beds were comfy. Our room was loud (it overlooked the pool) because people were in the pool past hours and in before it opened.

The room had a whole bunch of bugs crawling around the entire time. The Wi-Fi does not work and I was charged an additional $37 just to get my room key when I already paid 135

The room was OVER priced and extremely filthy, we had to wipe up whatever was spilled all over the refrigerator and clothes hutch. We couldn't shower due to the water coming back up from the pipes. There was sand in the tub, and we had not even been to the beach! Over all it was dirty and very uncomfortable. Our A/C was broken also.

The rooms were clean but parking spots were small. For size reference, a Toyota Camry can barely make it in the spot while giving room to exit out the vehicle and avoiding door things. The place is 10 min from the Santa Cruz boardwalk which was convenient and 15 min to Capitola. Staffs were accommodating and the free breakfast was good. Overall great stay for a weekend getaway.

Clean and comfortable, but are room was not ready at 4pm even though check-in is 3pm. I had called a week ahead to request a 1st floor room. I don't think the message was conveyed to staff. My husband is disabled so we really needed a 1st floor room. Breakfast was packed, hard to find a table. Food was average and to be expected. Overall the stay was fine. Good value for the price.

Our room was wonderful! We had a jacuzzi in our room and it added to our stay, did not want to leave! Sure the furniture or rooms are a tiny bit outdated as it looks a bit worn out but it’s nothing wrong to me in my opinion, as long as the place is clean. Staff were helpful with my questions and the free breakfast was a nice touch as well.

Room was mostly clean except the basin. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is showing its age. The parking situation was not good. Not enough spaces and were made primarily for compact vehicles.

The room was somewhat clean, but we also found ants and spiders. The towels we were given had stains on them as well. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to sleep, this isn’t it. The pillows were like hospital pillows, and you could feel the springs in the mattress. The curtains didn’t close, so the light from outside kept shining in. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place and don’t care about comfort, then this might be for you. However, we personally would never stay there again. There was a point in time when we woke up and were just ready to go home.

The room was dirty. The small fridge leaked water overnight. The sheets were old and were leaving lint everywhere. The female person at the front desk was very rude. They promise to give us a discount but ended up charging us more.

It was annoying enough that we had a bad night's sleep (#1 priority for a hotel in my opinion). ~Disgusting Luke Warm Hot Tub: We booked the hotel because it had a hot tub. We have a pretty high tolerance for imperfect hot tubs at hotels (gotta be realistic), but this one was about 97-98 degrees (I actually like "cooler" hot tubs at about 100-101, but this one was too cold to stay in). There were tons of nasty debris floating in the water. The whole surface of the hot tub looked like the attached picture. (We used in evening, so maybe we got unlucky and they clean in the morning?)

The parking lot was free but has very narrow spots. Breakfast is available, but I could not enjoy it because I am gluten free. The walls were really thin, you could clearly hear people talking outside in the parking lot. The hotel was situated in a really awkward spot on the road. Plymouth St is a very short one way that confused the google maps most of the time, sending me through an unsafe intersection. There is a hot tub and pool, but I did not use it during my stay so I can't speak on that.

Not a terrible hotel, but wouldn't recommend staying here. Our initial room was reeking of smoke, and the TV was completely broken (wires were cut). Never got a chance to check out the Pool/Hot Tub because kids were in there for hours screaming, which we could hear from our room. Our second room was better, however, after we switched. The front desk was accommodating and friendly, and offered a partial refund, which helped. The breakfast options were uninspiring, and they didn't have much left by 9:00 AM despite being open until 10. 2.5/5 Star Review.

Free parking outside the room. Room was kinda crowded, not too big. Clean and nice staff. It was rainy so we didn't use the pool or hot tub but others were. Breakfast was OK with great coffee.

There is no shampoo. I had to ask for them. They placed two conditioners instead of a shampoo. The soap is very dry. The place where I got the room was not nice. Other rooms might be good. The floor was uneven. The bed was hard to sleep. Free breakfast was good.

The breakfast was mid at best and the hot tub was barely warm. The pool was pretty nice, albeit small. Additionally, our tub didn't drain well and the faucet was wonky and it was very difficult to get it to give hot water.

Front office person was wonderful. Room was bad. Sink faucet wouldn’t close properly (wasting water and making noise of water dripping), toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Bathroom light had no option to use without the fan which made it very noisy during nighttime use (for the rest of the people in the room who were sleeping).

The breakfast was lacking. The sausage patty tasted freezer burned. There was sausage and potatoes but no eggs? The pool was locked though I was given the hours at check in. When we arrived law enforcement was in the driveway talking to staff about an issue. Things were not very clean. Overall definitely not up to normal Comfort Inn standards.

Do not stay here. The rooms are dirty and it is located in a terrible part of Santa Cruz. I could only stay one day and had to get another hotel. The hotel and Expedia would not refund my money. I don’t recommend using either. Run!

The staff was all kind and friendly. The pool and Jacuzzi were good. The AC was not working in our room but thankfully we were not in dire need of it. The bed was too hard for my liking and my neck hurt the next day (my husband said the same). The breakfast was okay but the waffle batter had a certain taste that I personally didn’t like. Overall, it was an okay stay for 1 night.

The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. The TV, and the WiFi need improvement. The system used to sign into the WiFi is arduous requiring extensive information entry. The system has a video on signing up for WiFi. The need for a video on how to sign up indicates a poor process.

Room missing shampoo and body wash. Only had conditioner. Small bugs/gnats were flying in room. Breakfast food gave us stomach upsets. Other unimportant things like the paint job is bad lol - just slapped brown paint on the walls, half getting on the white trim. Staff was nice and helpful though. Main good thing: price was affordable:)

The room had the smell of an old rag after the maid cleaned it. We had to go to the store to buy a candle to mask the smell, but other than that everything else was perfect.

Breakfast menu consisted of waffles, meat patties and potatoes but no eggs. OJ, coffee and tea were available. The Wi-Fi performed exceptionally well. The room did not have a safe but otherwise was exceptional.

Room was great general manager Ozzie Gutierrez checked me in. He was great fast check in and got us to our room fast. One person wanted to use the gym but key would not open it. Ozzie came out right away got him in the gym and set him up for the next morning.

Room was nice and free breakfast from 7-10am. Our only issue was that the sink near the bathroom had ants which traversed their way to the bed. We didn't put any food on there but noticed some holes near the sink may have been their portal of entry.

Very big room, more than what I needed. It had a patio, but slider doors were stuck so I couldn't even get out. Locations was very good, close to campus, so exactly what I needed.

I really enjoy the in room hot tubs as they are a rare find in santa cruz. The parking lot is very limited in trying to park near your room. No elevatorw though for upstairs guests. Breakfast is 7-10am and pretty decent for being included.

Met or exceeded my expectations from description and reviews. Hot tub was perfect temperature and had strong jets. Very friendly service.

My second time in this room. All of the furniture and the bed are worn out. The sofa has no support. One can't even get out of it without doing a pullup on the arms. The bed pushes every spring into the body. I woke up crippled. The desk chair does not adjust upward.

The bed was too hard, really uncomfortable for my preference. Pillows felt like rocks but that is just my preference. Besides that everything else was amazing, the service, the people, the cleanliness and the breakfast was delicious. The front desk super friendly and nice.

Very poor condition. I even paid for upgrade room. Very old and worn out. Also horrible breakfast. No Eggs, really! Veggie sausagex gross! I packed up and found local restaurant for eggs. They're reviews are misleading. No way this is a 9.0 property.

This is the third time staying at this property in the past year and a half and it never disappoints. We always get a tub room and it is always clean and ready with zero complaints. We will continue to stay here.

The property was easy to find. Located near the freeway on ramp that we needed a lot during this trip.

The location and service are ok. But the main problem is the internet service. They said it is free, but they charge you for the service! On top of that this service is horrible!!!!!

A decent enough place for a stopover. Not worth going out of your way for. Tried to book another night and was told nothing available. Checked Expedia and they had 4 units listed. Went somewhere else for the second night

It was terrific. We were able to check in a little early, which was very much appreciated because I wasn't feeling well. The room was excellent. Very clean and had all the amenities it promised. The pool and spa were great. Nice and clean. The breakfast the morning covered something for everyone. I highly recommend staying at the Comfort Inn 110 Plymouth St. in Santa Cruz is a great place to stay.

I walked into the room, and only saw a really ratty sofa. "Is this a hide-a-bed?" Happily no. It was just a terrible couch. Just around the partition was a wonderful 'bedroom'! Great shower and BR amenities. New appliances all around. But trash that couch! It's a spine crusher!

We were placed in a king suit by the road. There’s drag racing all night so it was hard to sleep due to the noise. The fan In bathroom was so loud it’d wake people up at night if you used the restroom. I realize there’s stuff such as traffic the property can not control. Breakfast area was tiny, parking was very limited and very tight spots.

Another thing I’m upset about is when I planned my trip I chose this hotel because the pics on the website looked pretty. When I arrived nothing like what was advertised. So this was the only part of my vacation that I was very unhappy about. False advertising is something I don’t respect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I should get a refund for this false advertisement and because I paid for 8 nights. I’m not a happy camper now.

Enjoyed our stay. Front receptionist Ozzie had very good customer service, he was helpful with getting us checked in early, also informative about events happening in the area. Rooms were very clean, pool was nice. Only complaints was the jacuzzi was broken which when I booked I was looking forward to it. Also that the hot food selection at breakfast could be better, they had alot of options but the only hot food that was good was the waffles. Overall I would stay here again.

This motel is a pretty typical beach town motel. I would say it’s not as pictured, the property is pretty run down. The pool wasn’t very well kept and the hot tub was closed. The service and breakfast was decent.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did notice noise from the people above us and others going in and out of rooms at night, but it did not bother our children’s sleep. Parking was a little tough because the hotel was full, and the only spaces left were for compact cars. We squeezed in the space, but we think one guest had to crawl out the back of their car. Overall it was very comfortable, especially for the price. We would stay here again.

Nice property despite the slightly inconvenient entrance/exit. Main complaint is the annoying wifi—we had to constantly reconnect and it was down one afternoon. Other complaint that they have no control over is the amount of homeless people in the area. Don’t go to the McDonald’s after dark!!! No drive-through and a serious case of homeless folks all around all the doors.

Nice place, but advertised as Hotel while it’s more of a Motel!

We were able to check in early. The staff is very friendly.

The stay was good for what we paid for. The beds weee mildly comfortable. The room felt very motelish. The breakfast was ok but severly crowded. They ran outvof butter for the waffles. That was lame. The best part was the convenience and price. We'll stay at the marriott when in town again.

We loved our stay! Very clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I’m personally thankful for the flavored coffee creamers- game changer for me!

The TV stopped working and when we called to get help the receptionist said ahe was just the night auditor but maintenance would be available at 8am. Also no elevator sucks, not a huge deal but convenient to have one.

Convenient location, tasty bagels for breakfast, and killer hot tub. Maybe not the best neighborhood to walk around at night by yourself.

Our go-to hotel choice for Santa Cruz. I wish the parking spaces weren’t all so compact. I had issues parking the second night. Was forced to park in a handicapped spot after trying and failing to park in the five remaining spots that were left and not being able to get out of my car in general or without causing damage to my or another vehicle. Housekeeping was also a bit inconsistent in that they took the remaining toilet paper one day rather than leave another roll. The WiFi was something you had to log back into every 24 hours which I found unusual. The reception in the area for my 5G phone network was also pretty crappy. I requested a ground room for this stay and was not accommodated but my second floor room was nice and the staff offered to help bring things up/down for me. Overall though we had a great stay and plan to be back next summer if the pricing is fair.

the salt water heated pool was a big hit with our little ones....It was the best part of the trip for the 2 and 5 year old.

Breakfast was simple but sufficient with some hot items and waffles. Pool is heated and beds were sufficient. Be sure not to leave valuables in your car and always lock your door.

Very clean, safe and a great complimentary breakfast.

This is not at all what the pictures make it out to be. Our window didn’t have a screen and we had to put a coat hanger on it so that nobody could open it. It felt dirty and unsafe.

The property was very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent—perfect for quick access to the freeway or a short drive to downtown.

Broken down and waste of money

We arrived late (delayed flight) and Jessie greeted us wonderfully despite being forced to stay up for us past midnight. We also had to send some amazon packages to the hotel and the staff generously held them until our arrival. Very personal service. Great for a budget motel.
