The room, sheets and cloths clean, wifi, ice machine, near the beaches and city center, had a Publix supermarket in front. The room smelled damp, the air conditioning was very noisy and balcony not clean

This hotel is close to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. But that does not make up for the issues. The rooms we got was filthy, and stunk of mold. The bed sheets did not look clean. The walk to the room was moderately secure. We checked in, but did not stay.

Don’t stay here. You will lose your money. Rent an Airbnb, it will be much better. The facilities are very precarious, the rooms smell of musty and sewage. They do not offer shampoo or conditioner. We never felt safe about that place and the people there and more having seen a prostitute enter the facilities.

Hotel is old, needs renovation, but great location and hot water available in the shower which is a plus for me. We just stayed one night cause we were just passing by, good price and the bed was comfortable. It will be much better if it was renovated a bit. Besides that everything was great. Breakfast available.

This place was for the most part very clean but some of the rooms do have a musty smell to them but the ocean is close by so what can you expect? The staff were all super friendly, especially the attendant in the lobby that book us in! The pool was great but I think could have used a little bit more attention in that area. We still enjoyed our stay and would stay there again! The only thing that I really didn't care for was the musty smell in the room but the room was very clean!

It was full of homeless outside the hotel. It was dirty and the room was disgusting. The hotel is in bad need of reconstruction. We couldn’t stay there.

Great location, very kind and helpful owners. The price is right. However this is a bare bones motel. Older carpeting and fixtures, in need of major overhaul. The “continental breakfast” is really just boxes of cereal and milk. But there’s a Publix across the street for anything you need. If price is a major issue then this is fine. Very comfortable mattress by the way!

We walked into the room and left 5 minutes later. Because I booked through expedia, the hotel and expedia refused no REFUND. I lost $600.00 and had to book $800.00 airbnb. One hour in Florida and had to deal with this. Hair and stains on the bed and box spring, smelled horrible, looked like some threw up cabbage in the bathroom garbage. I never felt so uncomfortable. Always book hotels through them personally and on a credit card to help get a refund. I've been using expedia for 20 years but because I was only offered $40 back from the $600 I lost and felt so horrible about the treatment I received feom staying in a room that was not sanitary, never again.

I knew it was cheap and didn't have high expectations but it was actually decent, it was clean and had a nice large bed, it is a bit dated but for that price couldn't expect better for the money so was happy for the price.

We found a big cockroach dead on the floor in tge bathroom. I informed the front desk, and they came to remove it. Also informed us that pest control was there a few days prior. They apologized but we were not offered another room. The room was clean besides that! We checked every corner of the room and could not find anything else. We were disappointed with the experience.

This is a place to crash one night. The bedroom wasn’t dirty but it had a subtle smell in the carpet. The hallway is a different story with the smell being strong and musky. We picked it just because it was close to downtown. But for the price you can get a better one a bit outside the downtown area. Also, make sure you have earplugs handy. The road next to the hotel is very loud.

I booked to pay at property..i receive a call at 1pm while traveling to Sarasota saying i needed to pay NOW. I generally book with one card and pay at property with a different card..never a problem when i select pay at property...she says they are busy and i need to pay so they dont cancel my room..i reiterated that i selected pay at property and its not 3pm which is check in time..she stated that because they are busy...i need to pay now...so because we have traveled 4 hours and didn't want to loose our room..i paid..upon arrival there was an additional $50 deposit required...that was not mentioned during her call...her explanation for questions asked...did not make sense to the question asked...it basically came to she wants money and i dont care about nothing else. One question I asked was..what happens if i hold reservation with one card but pay at property with another... she says they can change card number and run it..so i say but what happens with monies pulled off the card that was only to hold the reservation..she says you'll get your money back in 7-10 days... thats not cool..especially if i reserve to pay at property. I understand if was after check-in time but it was 1pm when she told me i needed to pay. And our tv didn't work The Sunday morning staff member was very pleasant.

Arrived later and doors were locked. No one answered door bell and was forced to call for someone to assist us. Large roach had been squashed in bathroom in our room but not disposed of. Blood was on floor. We had to clean it up and flush bug. Room was musty smelling.

Owner was very nice. Room and hotel is need of a remodel. Room floor looked fairly new and bed was firm with clean sheets. The bottom of the bathroom door coming off and the tub and tile needed work. I did find a dead cockroach in the room but did not see any others during my stay. The TV remote was covered in a black sticky substance. I put it in a sandwich bag before I used it. The breakfast offered the basics, but the only hot food was toast and frozen waffles you out in a toaster. Basically, the hotel is old and needs renovated.

Rudest front desk lady EVER,room smell like rat urine covered but very heavy perfume,breakfast consisted of small cereal boxes,soggy, previously frozen ,waffles,a gallon of milk and a gallon of orange juice as well as a crusty powder creamer botte to be shared by everyone. No elevator either so if you are a handicap person front lady states yoi should find out that on your own before bookinh or pay extrafee for the last first floor room because it had two beds.

The room was in terrible condition, filthy and dirty. The smell in the room was like in the restroom. The staff is nice. We checked out in couple hours.

Unfortunately, we were unable to change hotels because there were no available reservations elsewhere at the time. This was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. We will never come back and do not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone with allergies or respiratory sensitivities.

Very much an average room, though it was loud as they were yelling at guest with dogs. This is a NO DOG place.

Staff was very friendly. The property is definitely older, which was a bit surprising at first, but our balcony room ended up being very enjoyable. We played music all night and, since it’s an older property, the walls were surprisingly soundproof. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

Great location, convenient to Gard de Lyon and the Bastile neighborhood. Plenty to do right there, and most major tourist stopps are a short walk away.

The room was not truly clean, markes on the wall, shower needs to be redone. Bed was very uncomfortable. the two chair in the room were very hard. According to my husband the place was a PIT. Would never stay there again.

This hotel was the wisest hotel I ever stay, very dirty, did not even wanted to touch anything, windows and doors so dirty you barley can see through. Smell in the hallway horrible. I would never ever will recommend to anyone to book this hotel. Breakfast was a joke, I have no words.

Publix was across the street which made getting drinks and food without ubering it and a Taco Bell next door for those drunk munchies. Rooms were a little run down and bathroom small but you get what you pay for. Overall, it’s a place to sleep because we were out for the whole day and night.

Bed was ok. No tv. No phone connection, unable to reach front desk. Went to front door and nobody answered there either. Asked about late checkout when checking in, the woman stated I would have to call in the morning. The a/c dirty and emitting a musty/moldy odor that triggered allergies..

The highlight was the friendly staff and pool area. Dont have high expectations for the price but the exterior of the building is better than the very very old and in places dirty interior of halls and rooms. I called the front desk—I was shaken. A very calm woman said she hadn’t made any key cards for my room. As if I was making it up. The afternoon worker also said I must have given a key to a friend. I was traveling alone and only had one key made. I feel no sense of trust in they key card setup at this hotel.

I really wont go back there. Room was old, smell old, dark carpet, tv wasnt working, towels look old, wasted, like dirty look, and i left with a itch in all our bodies. Nothing like the pictures.

The location of this property is excellent. Across the street from a supermarket and walking distance to a art museum and a few fast food options, short drive to downtown and the beaches; Everything else leaves much to be desired. The property could use an update and remodel, basically good for a night or 2

Check in was great, i chose that hotel for the price and only 10 minutes from siest key beach. The room was clean but smelled weird and odd. Wife and i couldn't place what it was. It wasn't pleasant but wasn't horrible either. The breakfast was very um different. Lil boxs of cereal. A mini fridge with a gallon of milk and gallon of o.j. eggis and bread in baggies. But what really was a turnoff was contractors doing roofing work on a Sunday morning and before 8am. Was not pleased with that.

The hotel is across from Publix which I used after checking in and before leaving. I was working a craft festival so I look for budget friendly. I would pay a little more next time to get a more updated hotel. The hotel was clean as it can be for being dated and worn. Felt safe, bed was clean so it worked for me.

The hotel is in need of renovations. The room was fine. The location was in a convenient location. I’m noticing that so many hotels are price gouging that why we chose this hotel because it was not too overpriced.

This motel was what we expected and paid for. It’s outdated and the carpet had a smell. It served its purpose for our one night stay. We arrived an hour and a half early and our room wasn’t ready. But we were in a hurry to get dressed for a wedding. The front desk lady sent three workers to clean our room for us. They had it ready in 15 minutes. This was above and beyond, and greatly appreciated!!!

The first thing my husband and I noticed when we walked into our room was a distinct unpleasant smell. Enough that we didn't want to stay there more than 2 of the 4 nights we were supposed to stay. Also it was very noisy because of carpet being removed from the hotel.

Worst hotel ever stayed at. Dirty an disgusting service and property

The furniture could have come from Goodwill. It was battered and dented. The chair was dirty and I was afraid to sit in it. Worse yet, the room had an odor of dead fish. I complained to the front desk their solution was to hand me a can of Febreze. When I asked for another room and was told that there were none. They told me that I would be moved the next day. The room I was moved into was next door and smelled just as bad. Needless to say, I did not stay there for the second night. Fortunately, I was only billed for the night I did stay and even that was an overcharge. This is barely a 1 star hotel. My recommendation - Do not stay here!!

Also I was woke up in the morning to let a plumber in the room-apparently they gave me a room that had issues before I got there. Very concerning and disappointing!

Rooms on ground floor are tiled, while second floor are carpeted. Carpeted rooms all have a nasty smell. Room size good. Clean toilet. Reasonable breakfast. Nice host. For the price, this is a reasonable motel.

Front desk was rude i understand its a budget hotel but have better standards for cleanliness and repairs. I traveled doing construction for 4 years staying in budget hotels for 4 nights a week you are byfar not the worst but for what you charge for a week night there shouldnt be grime built up in floor corners the shower shouldnt back up while i shower its years of lack of maintenance and upkeep

The property has no elevator to upper floors, so drag you 50 lb suitcase and other baggage up the stairs. Second, the instant I walked in the room I encountered a strong scent of urine in the room, as if someone had peed on the carpeting. I suffer from asthma and my throat started closing within the first minute of being in the room with the door closed, which indicated to me that the room was compromised for allergins. I certainly could not sleep there. I walked outside into the hall, and using my cell phone, I booked a room at a different, higher-price hotel and carried my bags back to the car and left. I was not sorry about losing my $107 by not staying, it was a cheap way to learn a lesson.

I really encourage you to take this property out of your listings.

Check In and Out ladies were very nice. Room was very old, our dated and by this I mean, the bathroom tub was painted over many times and the paint peeling off, caulking was gross and peeling, Heat didn’t work and it was 30 degrees outside. Room was hodge podge put together holes in walls poorly “fixed”

We went to stay for the weekend and check out sarasota . We had to wait for the only one lady in the place to come to the main office to give us our key . The hallways look dirty and had no AC. When we got to the room , it smelled wired and musty . We finally had to wait for the same lobby lady to change our room . It was just a little bit better but did not look appealing . I was worried but gave it a shot the first night . On day two , the complimentary breakfast looked old ….no one to talk too . There was no one there . We went out for breakfast and decided to check out on our return because the stress was killing me . Again , you have to wait for the lady to come down and help you . I thought I would get a credit since we only went to the room the night before to sleep , but nope! No credit . So yeah if you want a peace of mind in a comfortable and clean place , don’t stay there . I will be paying more money for better accommodations the next time !

I've stayed at this motel a few times over the years. It is old and has not been updated in a long time, but the family that owns it is friendly, and the service is good. The price is very competitive for something close to downtown and the beach. The bedding and pillows aren't great, the towels are atrocious, and there is only bar soap in the badly outdated bathrooms, but the bed was comfortable and the shower worked. If you're just looking for a reasonably priced place to crash for one night, it's not terrible.

It was an awful stay, the room very dirty and run down, front desk lady had an attitude, there was no mention of a 50 dollar deposit fee prior to booking, so overall 135 for one night was not worth the stay.
