A wonderful experience

Overall it was a good option and would go back. A few things to note. If you’re in a low floor in the Palm Tower you can use the stairs. Elevator services rooms, restaurant and car park and takes forever to arrive. No recycling whatsoever. And no concern of staff “just throw the plastic bottles in the garbage”. They leave 6 new bottles in your room every day and despite the efforts to protect the waterways, mangroves, sea life all around. The hotel is not on board with sustainability practices, One girl at front desk quite rude. Everyone else lovely. Music too loud at tiki bar!

Great price, right on the beach, room came with kitchen are with full refrigerator and microwave, they don’t try to up charge. Lots of shells at beach

Our room was also located next to an elevator, and the noise was constant, both late at night and early in the morning. A heads-up about the location would have been appreciated since we have small children. Additionally, the bathroom floor tile appeared damaged from water, it was lifted. The door did not close if a towel was placed from the shower. That said, we only stayed one night, so it was manageable. On a positive note, the beach, pool, and food options were all great. Staff were very friendly and amazing service.

The beach was beautiful and felt pleasantly secluded even with plenty of people around. While some reviews describe the beach as "sugar" sand, it does have some shell bits mixed in (like many Gulf beaches); that’s honestly just me being picky. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking both the pool and the beach, which made mornings and sunsets especially enjoyable. Service stood out: the front desk was friendly and efficient, and room service was prompt and professional. The breezy Tiki bar by the pool served a great smash burger and wings, perfect for an easy meal without leaving the property. Overall, I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back Sarasota beach getaway.

To it and it did Not Disappoint. If you are looking to relax and have plenty of Great restaurants around the corner this is the perfect place.

Payed a lot of money for a room that was on the first floor in the back of the old building looking at a parking lot. The room smelled moldy and musty. Things in the room felt damp. There were only two places to eat and nothing healthy to eat. The shower was made for wheelchair which is fine, but it didn’t drain and water went all over the floor.

The location is the best part-the beach is beautiful. The pools would have been perfect but they had a bug infestation and did not even try to keep the pool cleaned out with the dead ones or the walkways clean of the dead ones. A simple shop vac in the halls would have helped. The food was very good-tiki bar staff was great. Ordered room service twice from Drift-food was excellent-room service delivery man was super rude and super creepy. Housekeeping staff was friendly but they bang on the door like SWAT and come twice a day which is annoying. Front desk greeters aren’t friendly.

The food was poor, breakfast and dinner and some of the staff had a few attitudes.

We definitely had a good stay and everything- great views and all. Most staff were very polite and accommodating. The rooms were decent. The only issue I ran into was that for the amount we paid for a nights stay wasn’t worth the quality of the room. It was a bit dirty. The couch was filthy and 100 percent uncomfortable. So we didn’t feel like we could relax there. Things seemed well used. We were bummed that we paid what we did just because the quality of the room wasn’t that great. But we definitely enjoyed the views from the balcony. Overall we had a good time. We enjoyed the dinning experience at the resort. The coffee shop in the lobby was really great as well as the pool side service! The only bummer part was how early the pool closed. We came in May so maybe their pool hours change?

Nice, clean, great beach and pool and bar

The hotel is good, but it’s nothing spectacular. The website says breakfast is a buffet, but that’s not true. They also charged me fees for everything I consumed. At the restaurant, the breakfast is not really that good. The eggs are pre-cooked, and the food is okay, but nothing impressive or “wow.”

I stayed in the motel section, as it was the only room available and it was very clean and nice modern elevated style. The Drift Kotchen and bar is beautiful with great views. The service was very good all around.

So sweet, they turn down your bed and leave chocolates. Really enjoyed my stay.

The staff really made our stay. The property was great itself but the effort from their team don’t go unnoticed. We had a great experience.

And the amenities? So good. A beautiful private beach just steps from stunning pools and a lively tiki bar with amazing food and drinks—basically impossible to leave. The lobby café also deserves a shoutout for some of the best smoothies we’ve ever had. Everything about the property felt spotless and well cared for, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to St. Armands Circle for shopping and great food (don’t skip Columbia Restaurant—it was hands down our favorite). We even walked to a nearby mangrove kayaking spot, less than a mile away, where we kayaked with Manatees 💙 I’d absolutely recommend this resort if you’re heading to the area. Already counting down until we go back! 🌴✨

Unfortunately we were placed in what is the old section. It is very outdated, beds were uncomfortable and needed replaced. I would not return.

Beautiful Maids. Clean Rooms

From the moment we arrived on the property we were greeted by staff that went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Answered all our questions and just made us feel welcome. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach the pools. Everything was fantastic but most of all we feel the staff is what sets them apart.

Very nice location. Great staff and facility. Close, convenient to attractions in area. Shuttle was a great option for when we didn't feel like walking. Beach was lovely! Beach umbrellas were pay to use. Ac in older rooms was loud. Would recommend a stay.

I loved all the beautiful little nooks and conversation places where one could read quietly or meet a friend or sip coffee, feeling like this stylish and comfortable place belonged to just you. The fire tables were so welcome on chilly mornings and the indoor/oudoor places to have breakfast were so appealing. Drift was a gorgeous dining facility and I took many pictures of the lighting, the blue tiles surrounding the pizza oven, and the views of the water. Chocolates delivered each night were special also. Well done, Lido Beach Resort!

The not so good: Beach chairs are reserved at 7am when they open but aren’t physically sat in until 10:30-11:00. We got to the beach at 8:30 and got chairs but not along the waters edge while we watched the chairs in front of us sitting empty for 3 hours. Doesn’t seem right or fair to me. Our room was immaculate however we were given a 1st floor standard room with no view - shame on me for using Hotels.com and not understanding which building my room was in. We were in the older building and it was noisy as the occupants above us were stomping around late into the night. Always ask for the NEW tower when booking a room. Our room was equipped with a full kitchen which was a surprise but of no use to us for a one night stay. It’s a fantastic family oriented resort and I highly recommend it for families with young children.

Very clean - great for families Love this area !

I did not have an ocean view and for almost $700 a night, i felt i should have. Resort was clean. I loved having the restaurant, tiki bar, adult pool and ocean beach easy to access.

My wife and I were really impressed with our experience. The service was outstanding, from the valet to the front desk to the Tiki bar staff and servers at Drift. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Staff great, pool and tiki bar nice and fun. Restaurant was very good. Only thing wrong was the beach access was not good due to beach project but not the hotel’s fault.

Pool area had plenty of chairs, and excellent food/beverage service. Lots of umbrellas for shade too. Music was even great! Beach was lovely, but there was a large pipe running the length of the beach. So you can’t see the water from the beach chairs. You can still walk over the pipe to the shoreline. Beautiful sunset views and dolphins too. We ate at Tiki Bar and Drift - both excellent. The live music at the beach near Tiki Bar was fun too. The shuttle to and from St Armand’s was also super convenient.

Lido Beach resort was exactly what we were looking for. I don’t love the sand but we wanted to stay on the beach at a resort with a pool and bar/restaurant. I would give the staff a 10 star rating if I could. They were all incredible from front desk to housekeeping to pool/bar and restaurant. Food also more than 5 stars. Tiki bar, Drift restaurant great food. I’m very picky about restaurants and eating out. I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed the quality of the food. We dined at Drift three nights during our stay. The room was clean and everything we needed. There is no wow factor to the room. Our view was of the atrium area which is nice.

Room was in need of update—especially in the bathroom. View of the gulf was beautiful. Pool area was nice.

Our stayed at the Lido Beach resort was wondeful. It was easy to communicate with the hotel staff through text messages . The pool and beach staff was amazing . From getting chairs, towels, putting up beach umbrella and making sure our drinks and food getting to us fast . We love how easy it’s to get to the beach . The kids love the free ice cream and the heated pool. We would definitely come back .

Construction and noise was really bad. Room was shabby. Staff were lovely but the comms about the construction were very poor and then made it difficult to do anything about it (management). I tried to move to another hotel but everything was booked unfortunately

The beach being closed was disappointing and pool service was not optimal for food and drink.

Access to the beach was a major factor in our decision to book a beachfront resort, especially during winter break with our family. We would have expected either Expedia or the hotel to clearly disclose any significant construction affecting the beach before our arrival. To make matters worse, bulldozers were operating throughout the night, making it impossible for us to rest properly and completely disrupting what was meant to be a peaceful and relaxing stay. At a minimum, there should be full transparency regarding major construction when the property is advertised online. The lack of disclosure has significantly impacted our vacation experience. The front office supervisor, Kara, was kind enough to waive the resort fees and provide complimentary breakfast passes, which we appreciated. Nevertheless, overall, this has been a very disappointing experience.

We had a fantastic stay. Every single staff member was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and had everything we needed (traveling with 2 young children). Shuttle to St Armand circle was great, nice pool and restaurant. Unfortunately construction on beach but that’s out of anyone’s control. would highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a beautiful, convenient stay on Lido beach area.

Amazing location with the most friendly staff: everyone from the front desk to the servers to the pool attendants to the cleaning staff were all helpful with genuine smiles. The option of an adult only pool & hot tub area was a nice touch. Great restaurants on site and a convenient (and free!) shuttle to downtown area were especially appreciated in the chilly weather. Chairs on the private beach with free towels are also convenient with bar service provided to the area as well. Room was spotless with all the amenities we could want. We loved our stay!

The beach and pools were fabulous and there were 4 resaurants and two bars to visit and relax. They provided free parking and shuttle into le into St Armand's Circle. We will visit again and would highly recommend it.

See attached detailed narrative describing the front desk staff collective disorganization and how a guest was locked out of room, cut off from WiFi while attempting to join a zoom call, and met with rude responses from the desk staff rather than support or assistance.

Beautiful ocean spot Clean

The desk agent asked whether I had received a text message. I explained that I had not, which was the reason I came back to the desk to check on the room’s availability. Despite this, no resolution or clear timeframe was provided. After a total wait of nearly five hours, I finally received a text message asking how my room was. I responded that I had never received a text indicating that my room was ready. The individual responding to the text messages replied, “Well your room is ready 😊.” This response was dismissive and failed to acknowledge the significant delay or the lack of communication. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially after being assured that I would be promptly notified

We had an amazing stay !

In the little village of Saint Armand, there were plenty of restaurants and shops open even during the Christmas holiday. The dining in the hotel itself was exceptional. The food was hot, fast, and delicious in spite of the incredible crowds. I do recommend making reservations if you have a particular time that you want to eat if you are there during a busy time. We ended up sitting at the bar, which worked out well for us. There was a full service tiki bar at the pool area, which was open till 8 PM every evening while we were there. You could get food there as well as a bistro in the lobby. There were two beautiful, clean pools, one for adults and one for families. The adult pool had two hot spas. The pool and beachside staff were attentive and helpful. Carefully read the resort fee features. We reserved a chair which was included, but no one mentioned that the umbrella was not included and we were charged $15/day for them. Unfortunately, we booked one of the last available rooms, which was listed as a “standard” view. It was overlooking the air-conditioning units on the roof. Looking over the top of the building, we could see the bay, but since we were on the backside of the building, we could not see the beach. However, everything else about our stay was wonderful and we didn’t spend any time in the room anyway! It was just a beautiful time altogether!

Room was clean and tidy. However, a ceiling fan ran constantly and there was no way/switch to turn it off. Management said they would call engineering, but nobody showed. Room was too cold and uncomfortable.!

The room was always cleaned well and we were pleased by the little things done by the cleaning staff.

Unable to get WiFi/Netflix hook up our phones to the tv’s. Therefore unable to watch football or anything had to just use our phones (disappointed). Also the rooms were wonderful but the beds were very hard sorry. Overall great visit but would be great if the had toppers on beds and better WiFi services to hook up streaming on phones to tv.

Lido Beach is our favorite place. We have stayed at some higher end locations in Sarasota, but they just don’t compare because Lido is directly on the beach. We would recommend it to anybody.

My $500/n room was at best a $200 value, especially after paying their $40 resort fee. This was like a motel 6 room with people walking by your room view then onward to the parking lot. I wrongly assumed that this place's worst $500 night room would be nice. Assume nothing.

Great stay

The staff was great, always professional and available. Cleaning service and turndown service was a nice touch. Our third floor room had a very nice view of garden court and beach.

My beachfront balcony was not OK to sit out due to blasting music from the tiki bar at 11:30 a.m. it was turned down 45 minutes later.

Room clean, but housekeeping was obtrusive. Was told no service was needed in morning. Just want coffee items. Later that day when was out someone entered room and serviced anyway.

I don't usually write reviews but I had to acknowledge the wonderful staff and experience we had here! At check-in, the staff are friendly and we received a delicious strawberry drink. The view was incredible and having access to the beach and lounge chairs was simply heavenly. Lido Beach is quiet and the Gulf is calm, so it's perfect for kids and families. I loved sitting by the pool, reading, and ordering food - it felt like a real vacation! We walked to St Armand's Circle where they have wonderful restaurants and shops, but the hotel also provides a very convenient shuttle. Chocolates on the pillow and bed turn-down service was appreciated - it added a special level of care. We absolutely loved our time there and can't wait to return!

I will not stay here again. The hotel is pet friendly with dogs. I was next door to a loud dog that was yapping/ barking all night. Also thin walls, my room was next to elevator and was noisy. It was not a quiet room and could not sleep due to dog and noise. Plus , my view was horrible. It was the roof and equipment ( not a view)

We loved our girls trip to Lido Keys! The staff welcomed us with a nice refreshing drink and a smile when we arrived. The resort had everything we needed, didn’t even have to leave. We enjoyed the free shuttle to the circle for dinner. The room was clean and staff was amazing.

We woke up to find the room flooring soked in water and smelt like mold

Our experience was the Bathroom was not clean when we arrived and needed to ask for it to be serviced again on arrival. The shower water went everywhere when taking a shower and even though the room had been updated it felt rundown. I think there is much better value for money in the area.

Lido Beach Resort was exactly what we needed for our anniversary celebration as well as our “Babymoon”! The resort was easy to navigate and our room was spacious and comfortable. The entire staff members (both on property and the beach) were friendly and knowledgeable in helping us in any way possible. We really appreciated the transportation to St. Armand’s Circle. Overall, we felt so relaxed and can’t wait to come back in the future!

Also, wasn’t aware that resort guests had to make reservations for the resort restaurant.. disappointed and should have been an automatic option when booking . Nevertheless, our first experience was good but expected better out of a resort hotel.

Room had a weird smell, windows to the catwalk and the 8 story parking garage across. Mattresses were just horribly soft. The „lagoon“ in between hotel and parking garage just looks deplaced. There are no water activities as promised and promoted on the website. Restaurant and coffee shop clearly overpriced. At least they don‘t charge for self-parking on the 6th floor. But overall it’s not what you expect from a resort.

Had an ok time at this resort. Just a few complaints….our toilet didn’t flush great, water constantly ran. Some items in the room could use updating. The luggage rack was not sturdy enough to hold a suitcase. Fan speed could not be adjusted. One night walking back to our room, we walked past a room with blinds open, a naked man passed out from drugs and or alcohol, hunched over the bed in front of a webcam. Disturbing for a family resort.

All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make sure your stay is a good one. Also everything is so clean. The beach is beautiful and also clean. I would stay again!

Overall, we had an amazing vacation. The location, amenities, and service were excellent. Diego at the Tiki Bar was outstanding; he truly exemplified good service with kindness and attention to detail. The beach attendants and Beach Market Cafe staff were also very thoughtful, warm, and attentive. My only criticism was the condition of the room. There was scuffing and unfinished paint on the walls, and the walls were SO thin, which I would not expect at this price point.

Outrageously expensive for what you get.

I made the mistake of booking the Tiki Tower. The room had a few issues and was overall just not what we were expecting. Thankfully we were able to move to the Palm Tower and it was much more in line with the quality and vibe we were expecting. The staff was very understanding and accommodating.

Very nice resort loved the oceanview suite with balcony! Only thing there was a bad smell behind the Tiki Bar by the water feature but we were outside so didn’t really matter.

Two nice pools. 5. Amazing sand and sandy beach and good for safe family swimming with close adult supervision. 6. Great 8th floor restaurant with amazing “Gulf” and sunset views for dinner and a breakfast ( 7 am to 11 am ). Good Tiki bar and cafe. 7. Diesel generator on 3 third floor of garage and tested daily for 30 mins. 8. Circle shops within 0.70 mile and public Trolley stops at beach parking / bathrooms next door. Cons: 1. 2024 hurricanes (2) decimated outer barrier islands ( 2 - 4 feet in ground floor circle stores ) with salt-water-damaged vegetation damaged or dead. End :: End :

I’ll start by saying the staff at check in was very nice. I arrived very late and the hotel was at full capacity, so despite my room smelling horribly (unbearably) bad like mildew masked over with cleaner, I had to sleep there. They offered to put a machine in there that would help zap the smell, but it would be very loud and would take at least an hour or so. It was very late so that didn’t seem realistic. When I woke up and got out of bed I noticed 4 centipedes in different areas of my room crawling on the floor. Checked out immediately! The refunded me for 1/2 of my total, which I don’t think was acceptable given the state of the room and the fact that I spent 7 hours there total. It was clearly not a room suitable for guests. Feels very shady that I was charged at all for such a horrible experience.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. It is on the gulf with its own beach. As a guest you get lounge chairs set up on the sand For $15 they will set an umbrella up for the day towels are included. A lemon water stand is by the sand and the 2 pools A tiki bar is outside for drinks and snacks and lunch with tables by the beach and pools. On the 8th floor is a five star restaurant and bar for meals and drinks in a beautiful modern atmosphere. The staff are always available to make you comfortable. Parking is self or valet your choice. My husband and I will definitely return

The location is fantastic – just a short walk to the beach, where you can enjoy the sound of the waves and relax in the sun. Everything at Lido Be

Over all the stay was fine, but we were disappointed at check in when we were told that given the busy weekend, guests were not allowed. We were in town for the purpose of visiting local friends. We had to pivot at the last minute to find other plans and things to do. Def made the stay less enjoyable as we had to find stuff off property to do, which the whole reason we stayed thier was the amenities on property.

The staff is very accommodating from check-in, valet, restaurant reservations and barista. The lobby is very appealing, room was spotless (a must!), and don't miss the view and delicious food and cocktails at the Drift Restaurant.

The Lido Beach Resort is a beautiful property on one of the most spectacular beaches in Florida. We splurged on a beachfront room and we were so glad we did. The free shuttle service provided by the resort made off-property activities stress free and easy. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Love location and beach area. Tiki Tower two doubles. Early check in was available. Self park available with free beach next to lot. Rooms a little aged. Beds very comfortable. Beach is really beautiful. Umbrella’s for beach $15. Hotel supplies beach towels. St Armand shuttle very convenient and runs until 10 pm. Cleaning service was at 10 one day and then next day 2:45 pm so kinda confusing. Floors really need to be mopped. Overall good just needs some updates. Dinner at Drift was good with great view but $$$. Mini kitchen nice to save on food/drinks.

Did not like having an adjoining door to the next room. Could hear very thing going on. had to contact front desk at mid night because of a very loud group of girls in the next room. It was taken care of quickly.

The food was extraordinary. All staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely location. No complaints at all.
