Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location and friendly staff, but noise and parking issues are common complaints. Some guests also mention cleanliness and maintenance problems in the rooms.

Everything was in walking distance from all of downtown! We never had to Uber the whole time. We enjoyed it!
- 5/5
What can you say...?? This was perfect for our stop over in Savannah on the way to FL. Close -walking distance- to River st and downtown. The atmosphere was great the historical building great and the room was comfortable.
- 3/5
Staff at front desk not helpful! Paid ahead for parking and we were told we didn’t. Moved our car and then they told us we didn’t! Had to pay twice!!!

The perfect location!
- 5/5
All was very good with our stay, yet the valet parking at check out was a little chaotic with long waits.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this location two times and each time it has been a really good stay would refer others
- 4/5
Cons: Musty /moldy smell. Sheets had human body hair all over them. Sofa smelled awful.
- 3/5
Clean and room was nice. Was loud and hot though
- 5/5
Spacious clean rooms and helpful and friendly staff. Location is premium next to all the restaurants and shopping.
- 2/5
Room was fine. Small for what we paid but it was clean. Staff checking in was rude, I’m glad we only stayed one night. I’ve never had attitude from staff like I did trying to check in. Checking out, the person at the counter didn’t speak to us.
- 4/5
Nice room, great shower, very convenient walking distance to River Street and most of the historic district. Valet parking was well done and well worth it, but no porter service for your luggage. Keep in mind it's an old building; one of the old elevators quit working while we were there. Overall, it was a great choice for our visit and I would stay there again.
- 2/5
The room itself was not very clean, and the furniture appeared overdue for a deep cleaning and general upkeep. While the staff and assistant manager were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to resolve the issues, the property as a whole seems to be in need of significant maintenance and renovation. Another consideration is parking. Valet parking is $48 per night, and if you choose not to valet, you're left trying to navigate limited downtown street parking with various restrictions and time limits. Unfortunately, despite the excellent efforts of the staff, the condition of the property did not meet expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

It was in the Savannah Historic District and close to the river . The staff was simply unfriendly and rude . The woman at the front desk
- 4/5
The rooms are modern and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The resort fee includes 2 tokens for drinks in the bar each night. The bar list for tokens was pretty substantial. Coffee and fruit was available each morning in the lobby. Free bottled water and coffee for the Keurig was provided in the rooms. The WiFi was not good in my room, so I went to the lobby to work where it was much better. My room was not serviced for the length of my stay (4 nights). I received fresh towels on the last afternoon after asking two days in a row. I passed the housekeeping staff cleaning other rooms. They were always friendly, but maybe there were not enough of them on duty or they don’t clean everyday as a standard. I would have given 5 stars if housekeeping was more consistent. Nevertheless, I would happily stay there again.
- 4/5
Location is fantastic. Staff was friendly. The rooms tho?? I've paid half the price for double the space. The rooms are tiny. Nice place but i wouldn't pick it first on our next trip to Savannah.
- 3/5
Front desk was helpful and friendly. But hotel needs a refresh.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning unit was very loud and disrupted our sleep throughout the night.
- 5/5
The front desk lady Marty who checked us in was amazing! She was very kind and informative. The room was clean and had no problems at all. Definitely will stay here again when traveling to Savannah!
- 2/5
The hotel is very well located. It is a beautiful building, but very poorly maintained. Cleanliness a problem throughout the property. Rooms very just Ok. I wouldn’t go back.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Mold at the bottom of the shower area was a turn off. Stair well areas needed paint and were very dirty. It does get noisy from the main street. I would return and it was a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
My stay here was fine. I liked the fact that the hotel is located in the historic district of Savannah. Many restaurants and shops were within walking distance.
- 5/5
What a nice stay at a beautiful old hotel. Service was excellent. Loved the complementary welcome prosecco at the door at check-in and complimentary drink tokens at the bar as well as prompt response to text messages. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and unique. We had the two level suite and loved it.
- 5/5
Great location!! Great staff, wonderful valets!
- 5/5
Happy to see restaurant near lobby, and very comfortable bed & pillows
- 5/5
Very nice historic hotel very close to everything! Rooms could use a little updating but clean
- 4.5/5
We really enjoyed our stay! I love that the property is located in downtown. Easy to walk everywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bar downstairs was also nice. We plan on staying at Hotel Indigo again in the future. Bathroom door did not close all of the way. That was the only issue. Everything else was great.
- 3.5/5
It is in a great location.

NOW for the negatives and the main reasons I urge people to look elsewhere. - Multiple times during our stay, the key cards just stopped working and we would have to go down to the front desk and have them fixed. I have never experienced that at a hotel, let alone more than once during a 4 night stay. -The elevator is extremely slow. That wouldn't be the worst problem but combined with the issue of the key cards, its more than inconvenient. Want to take the stairs? That is only allowed on half of the stairs, not all of them. We were on the 3rd floor, towards the end of the hallway, farthest away from an elevator. There is a staircase on that end that is only marked "Stairwell". It is not locked. It does not say employees only. There is absolutely no indication that hotel guests cannot use those stairs. I took my children and I down those stairs, and apparently they lead out to the back area of the kitchen. We got yelled at by the kitchen staff and treated like we were dumb and didn't read the signs simply for going down the stairs -I asked for sheets to be sent up for the pull out couch for the front desk lady to tell me I have to come get them myself. Remember you are charged a daily resort fee

Everything was great. Staff did an awesome job!

The outside looked nice, the inside was not quite the same. Only one working elevator at the time which left us waiting several times to get back to the room (while we had a ton of luggage).. and unfortunately watched staff use it while clients waited. The night time crew was not helpful in anyway shape or form, didn’t seem like he could be bothered and the little “mart” had nothing in it, no bottled water. Used the suggested site to retrieve my vehicle from valet and waiting 45 minutes before it finally arrived… after asking about it several times and watching countless people walk up to the valet stand and get theirs ahead of time (I was marked as 1st in line on the site). Room was super humid and quite dingy.

The room had a mildew smell, made her allergies go crazy to tie the entire time we were there. Valet was very uninterested in their jobs. Given their keys. Keys are just sit there on the counter for a long time after your car sitting for a long time. Period of time sitting there unlocked for the man of the cast of the room, the room should be clean and smell nice not smell like mildew every time the AC kicked on we started having sneezing fit.

Amazing location with a nice bar!
- 5/5
We only stayed one night but it was in a perfect location and the staff was great. Nice clean room.
- 4/5
Staff, our room, and we can't say enough about the young black lady that served us at the bar on 5/27 @ 4:30 she was super sweet and energetic with singing I made sure she knew we enjoyed the positive energy in her singing she was so fun. Cant thank her enough, ❤️❤️ N/A

Cons: It was a little tricky getting what we needed from house keeping since the 2 we spoke to didn't speak English, but it was fine. Some of the valet guys Seemed less than enthusiastic about assisting us and the elevators in the parking garage smelled like pee, Im not sure if homeless people camp out there or whatever. Overall, despite those couple things we would stay here again. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Some areas look worn like carpets in halls on 5th floor. Room good but could be touched up with paint. Elevator #1 not working and slow elevators overall. Nice location.

The restaurant staff were nice and the food was fine. This isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but it's the worst at this price point. We'll start with the valet parking, easily the worst part of the hotel, probably my worst valet experience ever (I valet often). There is no other option, and it's $48 per day. It's a special talent of corporations to make a thing you pay extra for be the worst thing about an experience, but the valet parking here is ridiculously bad. To be charged for it is completely unacceptable, but honestly if it were free it would still be infuriating. Pulling up late in the evening to a crowd of cars, no valets in evidence, and then to sort of try to figure out how to get parked so that you can even go inside to check in, only to at last discover a valet, tell them of your trouble and be asked for your room number and describe again how you haven't checked in yet, and then to be met with a blank stare, was very frustrating. The experience with that valet actually got even worse, but I won't go into it; everyone has a bad day. The lobby smells like pee. It is what it is. The staff were uniformly rude with the exception of the waiters in the restaurant who were genuinely fine. The food is okay. Again, remember it's quite expensive like everything at the hotel, so for what it is, it's just okay. The lobby appearance is alright, and along the lines of what you've been led to expect if you researched the hotel at all, but the hallways and elevators are pretty dreary, worn and drab. The room I stayed in was alright, nothing special. The beds weren't especially comfortable, nor were they the worst. I don't know what beautiful building exterior is pictured when you google this hotel, but it's not this place. I cut my vacation short by a day just so I could leave.

The hotel is super comfortable and centrally located to what you probably want to do if you’re I. Savannah! The staff is upper helpful and friendly and the place doesn’t punish your bank account like some of the competitors. I’ve stayed at Indigo Savannah probably 6 times and plan to do so next time I visit 😊

Nice size suite with comfortable layout. Great location within walking distance to most attractions. Loved 2 complimentary drinks at the bar daily and bottled water.

The housekeeping tried to get into my room when the do not disturb sign was up. They knocked continually and tried to open the door, they couldn’t get in because the latch gate was blocking the door from opening. Then she tried to open the door again and I told her the do not disturb sign was up. It was evident we were in there and she kept trying to get in. I didn’t think housekeeping was even supposed to bother you when the sign was up. Let alone try and get into a locked door twice. Also, there was hair in the shower. I don’t think it was cleaned thoroughly.

Not a bad stay, but lobby smelled like urine every time we walked in and had to gather ice from multiple floors as machines were broken.

Check in was slow, only one elevator worked and it was not air conditioned. It is in a good location to walk to River Street.

Wanted something quick and cheap and a bagel was $9.00. French toast &17.00. One of the two elevators was out of order the whole stay

Unfortunately, our stay at the Indigo was a bit disappointing. Our room was a king bedroom suite and the living room furniture was dirty and stained. The fixtures are rusted and not as clean as it should be. The location is great and the hotel was busy, but interestingly not sold out as many of the others on the strip were. Retro is the vibe and that's totally fine, but cleanliness needs to be a bigger priority. Rust is a not a great look either. This was probably one of the pricier stays during our 13 day road trip in comparison to some other major chains and for that it was disappointing.
- 4/5
The bar and kitchen area is nice and accommodating. The hotel gives drink tokens that is a nice touch. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Nice property and good location. All was good until I tried to get a hold of a human to get a copy of my receipt that was not emailed to me. It really should not be this difficult to get a hold of someone. I am still waiting!

The location was a good, central point. It was nice to have a bar and restaurant in the hotel, and complimentary water at the valet stand was really appreciated. The windows on the street side are completely inadequate. The furniture in the guest rooms was worn out. The furnishings such as paint, wallpaper, fixtures and flooring were damaged. Having to use luggage carts on our own at a property like this was very surprising. Some of the staff such as Supervisor Sherry C. Went above and beyond, while others such as a bartender was spending time in the stock room eating when the bar was full and had no other service.

The room was very nice and clean and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the pillows were nice to, me and everyone in my group didn’t wanna get out of the bed to check out it was so soft. The valet parking was nice and the guys were so great and got our car pretty fast at check out. It is in the best location right next to river street and it’s also close to congress street with the bars.

Great hotel, right in the heart of Savannah. This is the second time we've stayed here, and we will return again if we're back in town. The restaurant is excellent both for breakfast and lunch/dinner, and the location couldn't be better for visiting the city.
- 5/5
Proximity to historic Savanna was excellent.
- 4/5
Excellent location. Staff was friendly & helpful. The only thing was the room & bathroom size was much smaller than we thought.
- 5/5
Staffing, Valet and Hotel Accommodations wonderful. The only downfall elevator was out of order, so there was one available instead of two. Which caused a wait and the alternatives staircase. I am a fan about getting steps in, other than that. Spot on location close to walking and adventuring downtown Savannah.

I stayed at Hotel Indigo for a conference. It is located right across the street from River St and about a 7 min walk to the ferry. On my first night, there was an issue with the AC making a loud banging noise. I notified them of it immediately but did let them know I'd prefer they come and look at it the next morning since it was pretty late. The next morning, I let them know again and when I returned, the concierge, Starla, told me they did look at it but she was unsure if it was fixed. She told me if it wasn't, then she would room change me. It wasn't and she did room change me. Aside from that AC on the initial night, my stay was great. The service at the restaurant and bar was also great. I would highly recommend this hotel and a special thank you to Starla for making my stay great!

Convenience: Great location, easy access to DOT trolley and River Street. That part was wonderful. Valet Parking at $48 was too much and I parked at a city garage three blocks east. Instead of $96 I paid total $31 for two days. I noticed that the valet service worked hard, but people were always waiting. I could have paid the high cost but it was too much, and so access to my car was limited. Cleanliness: Bathroom was clean, towels were really nice, and the shower and soaps were very good. The room had crumbs from previous occupants, the floor was not clean (I reached a point where I wished I had house shoes). The couch was stained on two cushions. Not a minor stain either. The room was severely dated. Comfort - The beds were not great, just OK. No place to rest in a two bedroom where we could watch TV and visit. Bonus TIP! - We were offered a discounted upgrade to a "two room" suite with sitting area, two bedrooms, and other benefits. We took it but wished we had not. The second bedroom was a loft reached with very narrow spiral wrought iron stairs. There was no TV in the sitting area, which meant it was great for reading, but not for watching a little TV at the end of our day. We made the choice and own it, but we wished we'd known or asked better questions.

Room was clean and were cleaned every day. Staff was nice, the valet could haven been nicer. They seemed like they didn’t want to be there. But overall the hotel is nice and the location was perfect to walk around and site see

Loved the hotel rooms, as well as the convenient location in the historic district. It was within easy walking distance of Broughton Street and River Street. The rooms were incredibly nice and comfortable The parking and access to the property was a bit of an ordeal, but my biggest complaint is with the hotel staff. Valets were rude (they were very busy so I could ignore that) and the front desk employee I dealt with was incredibly rude, asking invasive personal questions. The employee asked me when my due date was for my baby. I am not pregnant, have never been pregnant, and have a long history of struggles with infertility so this was very personal to me, and after I communicated that to her she made no attempt at any kind of apology.

Did not have the $28 breakfast per person. Dinner service did not look like a good choice as no one sat in the dining area. The valet parking according the Expedia website was supposed to be $28 but at the hotel was $48. Bad location due to construction adjacent to the Indigo.

I did not like the fact that every morning when I went downstairs for the buffet we were being told that the food was done and the restaurant staff is rude and not helpful. CLEAN ROOM, NEXT TO ICE MACHINE WAS A BIT NOISY OTHERWISE QUIET STAY. GREAT SHORT WALKING DISTANCES TO RESTAURANTS & SHOPPING.
- 5/5
We had a great stay
- 4.5/5
Valet parking is time consuming and expensive. I would rather have the option of getting my own car from the same garage even if it’s the same price
- 5/5
Walking was good short distance from river boat..very convenient
- 5/5
Very close to attractive Walking was good short distance from river boat..very convenient

.
- 3/5
the fee because the hotel is located downtown historical district
- 5/5
No information about the deposit when making the reservation
- 3/5
I loved the location. I did not like the room because I booked the most expensive suite thinking it was the suite that came with the spiral stairs but It did not. Was told that the suites came with them from hotel staff before booking. Also, the elevator for suite was not operational. Very confusing to get to my room because of this.
- 5/5
Everything was above my expectations
- 2/5
We were there for less than 16 hours and were charged a $75 pet fee. I booked a standard, single bed room and was given a double bed room making it extremely difficult with our dog. The hotel looks run down and the elevator situation is scary. The front desk staff did not have a very hospitable demeanor. Very dismissive. I would not recommend this hotel when staying in Savannah.
- 4/5
Clean excellent location
- 5/5
The young lady on Second and the older lady from first were amazing and the valet staff a lighskin curly guy and tall blk guy were top tier .
- 5/5
The suite was spacious and quiet nice, close to the historic area and restaurants.
- 4/5
Not replishing clean rags and towels thorughout our stay other than that everything else was excellent.
- 2/5
I prepaid for this trip and the hotel staff tried to charge me again at check-in. I had to show them the receipt of my original payment in order to be able to check in. After that, they tried to put me in a different room than the one I had paid for.
- 3/5
Major renovations going on across the street. Restaurant staff totally uncoordinated and inadequate. Room was small. Location is good.
- 3/5
Elevator was broken and the smell in the hallways was disgusting - wet dog meets mildew. The room was decently clean. Would not stay there again.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. The location of this hotel is good as well.
- 5/5
Great place! Awesome, friendly staff! Will definitely be back!!!
- 3/5
The elevator to our floor was out of service. They were supposed to give us a resort fee refund and have yet to do that. We had to take our bags to another floor, go down steps, then up steps carrying our bags to get to our floor.
- 5/5
Yes, the breakfast was good. They need to serve a spoon with their coffee. I was told to use the little wooden stick.😥 the rooms were very clean.
- 5/5
Pleasant and Comfortable
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and the overall experience was great. The construction was an inconvenience.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent to all sites. The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom did have black mold along the floor of the shower and my hidden camera detector went off near the floor lamp. It is an accurate detector. So we covered it with the curtain

- 5/5
Convenient location, excellent staffing
- 4/5
Great location. Our rooms were facing the quiet side street so we had no noise. Others who had rooms facing the main street mentioned a lot of noise from outside. Elevators had some issues while we were there, so some were closed temporarily. Staff friendly.
- 5/5
The friendliness in the cleanliness of not only the facility but the staff everything was amazing. I will definitely go back and stay at this facility. The next time I’m in Savannah.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly! Bar/lounge area was super relaxing and had an acoustic guitar player on Friday night. Loved the complimentary happy hour drinks! Also complimentary bottle of water came in handy after walking around on a warm April day. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were a little smaller as far as size but overall it was a great stay.
- 5/5
Great place for the price. Location was perfect for walking around the historic district.
- 5/5
Loved our stay. Wonderful staff.
- 1/5
One of the elevators is broken so we had to lug our luggage up and down stairs... in between floors 3 &5 and no one at front desk answers the damn phone
- 5/5
Always enjoy the stay. Look forward to my next stay.
- 4.5/5
Perfect location for exploring Savannah by foot, just 2 quick block to the city market area. Staff were friendly and attentive. The lobby area is not large, but has comfy spots and a snack pantry!. The bar was good and guests get tokens for free drinks! Breakfast was good, though a bit pricey. The room, though dated, was clean, comfortable, and good sized. Having a sink outside the bathroom was a bit unusual, but allowed for plenty of room take care of business. A/C kept us cool and ran quiet enough. All in all, a very pleasant stay; highly recommended. All the rooms go down a long hall and if you are far from the elevator it can seem a long way to one with mobility issues. If you have such issues, ask for a room closer to the elevator.
- 5/5
The Hotel Indigo is my go-to when visiting my son, a junior at SCAD. The staff are very pet friendly and accommodating. The location is great for walking the historic area and it’s an easy walk across Bay Street to get to a green with loads of friendly squirrels to charm your dog.
- 3/5
Great location! Close to everything, nice bar in the lobby. What we did not like is 3 elevators only one worked consistently. Construction going on, just caused more noise, hard to get through hallways, and issues getting cars through valet because of the construction staff trucks.
- 4/5
Perfect location! Friendly staff! Carpet in hallways smelled a little moldy. Drying fans were out our whole stay.
- 5/5
Location and comfy beds…we stayed again on our way through! The hotel is pet friendly (not that you can tell) it was very clean and convenient to everything Savannah!!!
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The location is perfect. Starla is exceptional! She is kind and ready to help us with anything we needed. Thank her again for us!
- 5/5
We truly had the best experience here. From start to finish everybody was wonderful fantastic view, fantastic location, close to everything. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Great Location! Close and walkable to everything Savannah! Nothing
- 4/5
The location is excellent for walkability of the Historic District. The building has that old world charm, but the room was clean. The building is well insulated as we did not hear constant road noise and were able to get a restful night’s sleep. The snacks for sale in the lobby should have visible prices. They were not priced, and two individual sized snack bags of pretzels cost a ridiculous nine dollars!! Live and learn I guess. It canceled out our free drink tokens for that day, and the pretzels were stale to boot.
- 2.5/5
The location was great. The price you see is not the price you pay. Parking was expensive and they charged a “resort” fee. Very outdated…similar to a Motel feeling.
- 3/5
We were given drink tokens at check in & offered water, coffee, & fruit. Front desk was excellent! Valet was quick but not friendly & never opened a single car door arriving or departing. You can hear conversations & walking from the hallway inside the room & the hallways smelled musty, “like a men’s locker room” my husband said.
- 5/5
Comfort and great location!
- 1.5/5
Be prepared to pay an additional $300 in fees once you get to the hotel. The last day of our stay, our rest was interrupted by the floor being repaired. In the middle of the night we heard constant knocking, which caused us to check out of the hotel. In the middle of the night. There was also random strands of hair on the floor. One of the elevators was also out of order.
- 5/5
Best location possible, extremely busy hotel, really nice hotel. It does only have valet parking for your vehicle. It does cost extra money waiting for your vehicle. Take some time when the property is busy. Lobby restaurant and bar were nice and clean hotel room with comfortable and window looking over the street was actually quiet. How busy it was.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. Will stay here again on a future visit to Savannah.
- 4/5
The room was comfortable although the shower needed modernising. It was very weak. The bed was supremely comfortable. The best bit? The staff! Charming and engaging. The Tap Room Bar had a very different vibe to most hotels. It was a destination bar, with super service from the charismatic and attentive Zain.
- 4/5
Convenient to walk to sight see.
- 3/5
If we would have know we wouldn’t come. Very disappointed with Hotels & Indigo. The front desk excuse was that they tells you about the fee ( just the $25) at check in…as if you could cancel the reservation…as like if you could do anything once you are hooked by Hotels that lies about “all taxes & fees “ included in the price
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was very attentive
- 5/5
The cleanliness of th facility and great customer service
- 1/5
Very dirty overall and throughout the property. Room was filthy and the noisiest night of no sleep possible. Drag racing cars outside our windows until 3am
- 3/5
The hotel was under construction on certain floors. To get to our room we had to take an elevator a floor up. Then carry our luggage down the stairs. Our AC in our first room was broken. There was cardboard covering the hallway floor where there were rooms being redone. And we were not made aware of any of this happening when we made the reservation.
- 4.5/5
The location was perfect for visiting Savannah. Room was great with a comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful. Elevators were very slow.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great location
- 5/5
GREAT location! Easy to walk to any popular spot that is on your list.
- 3/5
The location was ideal. Property was okay for cleanliness but the elevators were never working. The rooms were okay but the walls were extremely thin. We could hear everything from outside the hotel and also in the hallways and in the other rooms. The staff at check in was not the nicest, but the staff in the restaurant and in the bar and at the valet were very sweet. The hotel feels very much like a motel. We liked the location but would not stay again because of the noise level.
- 4/5
Great location and nice room but the property is showing its age.
- 3.5/5
Location
- 4/5
Clean, close to everything. Depending on what side of the hotel your room was on, it was very noisy from the traffic, esp late at night. They rooms were super quiet which allowed the outside noise to be annoying. There are no fans in the room.
- 4.5/5
The location is great — everything is within walking distance. Check-in is quick and easy, too. The staff are friendly, too. They only offer valet parking and the valet staff are not as friendly as the hotel staff. We paid a high price for our stay, but I suppose it was a busy weekend. For that price, they should at least offer breakfast. I didn't like the view from the window; I should have asked for a different room in advance.
- 5/5
Location was perfect! Street noise sounded like thunderstorms. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Walking distance to everything. Amazing room and great staff.
- 4/5
The undisclosed destination charge.
- 4/5
Had to pay for parking, 48 a night for valet parking. Nowhere else to park
- 3/5
Room was Very outdated and tired. Beds were old, uncomfortable and noisy. Bathroom was not the cleanest. The toilet was tricky to flush. Shower would run hot and then cold. One day it was all cold. Other guests were very disruptive and were partying and screaming in the hallways until 4 am. Even the front desk made a joke about all the noise all night long. Based on the price and the luxury label, our stay was a huge disappointment.
- 3.5/5
The valet were excellent along with the concierge. The frat kids running up and down the halls not to mention the yelling from one end to the other. I said something but was basically told that it is what it is. If I had known about that I would have stayed somewhere else. My heart went out to the housekeeping staff.
- 3/5
Overall, the stay was not terrible however, when we first checked in, the bathroom door would not close. Unfortunately, I was with my stepson and we were unable to use the bathroom or shower. I immediately went to the front desk and they sent a maintenance man up, but we inevitably had to leave for our reservations. When we got back at 11 o’clock, the door still had not been fixed nor did they let us know. When I went back to the front desk, they were trying to send the maintenance man back up at 11 o’clock PM. I asked for a new room and they inevitably agreed to move me. After we were moved, the stay was fine. It is a historical building so it’s not brand new and I don’t expect it to be. It’s nice for what it was however, I’m not certain we would stay again.
- 3/5
The water faucet in the bathroom was partially blocked by the vanity mirror which was installed right behind the faucets. The Keurig coffee machine was quite dirty and appeared to never have been cleaned and needed scalding to remove the excess water deposits stuck in the machine. Good location of the hotel.
- 3.5/5
Elevator did not work. Had to go up to 5th around the corner get off and walk down to 3 rd floor where our room was. Carpets very shabby. Cones and wood on our floor
- 2/5
Don’t stay here! The elevator was broken and according to one of the staff it’s broken down quite often. Staff weren’t nice, in fact they were rude. Savannah is a filthy place with vagrants everywhere!
- 4/5
Good area to walk around. Close to the riverfront
- 5/5
We were very impressed with Hotel Indigo. The room was very clean and in excellent condition. It was a good size and there was excellent water pressure in the shower. Our only complaint would be that the air conditioner was noisy. The staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. There were great amenities including free coffee in the morning and a complimentary drink at the bar, along with complimentary bottles of water. Great price for the location, it was right in the center of downtown, making it easy to walk everywhere. Onsite parking was also great!
- 4/5
Rooms were solid and beds comfy. Overall solid stay.
- 4/5
The location is great. The staff was helpful. We were disappointed in the breakfast food, so only ate there once. Everything else was fine.
- 2/5
Room was clean. The general condition of the lobby and halls was just dirty. The elevator was out of service. Things break and have to be repaired. They gave some tokens for low end cocktails that nobody would drink. I would not recommend this hotel for the price.
- 3/5
Don’t buy breakfast
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Bar was very good. Did not eat there
- 2/5
Not sure if it was because I booked through Expedia, but I was given a room next to the ice machine and off the only functioning elevator so there was a lot of noise every day for my stay. The elevator maintenance was a huge issue with only one functioning elevator for the entire hotel. The wait time do you have the elevator pick you up on the ground floor or from your floor during higher traffic times was excessive. The hotel was your basic IHG properties, a little dated, and some of the upgrades seemed a little messy. Received eight tokens upon check-in for free beverages at the bar, thought this was a nice touch until I looked at the menu and the drinks were just OK. I ended up not using them and handed them to another guest prior to leaving the hotel without using a single one. Housekeeping did not replenish coffee or water in my room, despite the front desk indicating that they would, I had to ask twice for this to happen. Upon checkout, I never received my receipt and had to call the hotel two different times in order to try to receive a printed or email receipt and both times I was put on hold for over five minutes to even do that. If you’re just looking for a room to sleep in, go for it as the discount option in the historical district, but if you’re hoping for amenities, I would pass on this hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean . Staff went above and beyond to take care of us
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the location, meal discounts and complimentary drinks every night. The staff was great! Thank you for everything!
- 5/5
It was pleasant, it was not the 3 star service at times, the front desk lady was a little rude when checking out, we had pre bought breakfast and they charged it and she had to make changes she seemed not happy with. I was warned to check the recipt and im glad i read that review. The hotel was in a 5 star area, the valets were super nice and very busy! Only gave 1 towel a day?! For 3 women ..i asked for more and they could not understand? Whatever it was beautiful, the breakfast was great our little server was super nice, the bar tenders were both top-notch and we truly enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Great staff at the front desk! Helped us with a reservation mix up. And we had a clean, convenient room downtown within walking distance to everything we wanted to go do.
- 4/5
Great location, but you can tell the hotel is worn down.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
This place was great. Very clean and the staff was amazing. Great location. Could walk to everything. We really enjoyed our stay here.
- 5/5
Great location! We have stayed at this Indigo 5 or 6 times.
- 4/5
Initial check in by unfriendly front desk receptionist .Valet brought out the wrong car. Everything else was very good. Bartender was terrific!
- 5/5
Couple elevators were out of service
- 2/5
The breakfast is good but very expensive (and you might not get the free breakfast you were entitled to, which by the way only covers $20/day/pers.). The personnel is horrible: inefficient, rude, unprofessional (except for 1 of the bartenders). That being said, the hotel's location and comfort are great. The locally collected taxes and fees Expedia estimates are 20% lower than the actual fees/taxes, which adds to the price, AND I discovered over $100 of erroneous charges on my bill when I got home! I recommend you find another hotel.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The staff was excellent, especially Sherry who helped us with early check in and accommodated us even though our room was not ready. We did not visit the gym on this occasion. It's an excellent location for exploring downtown Savannah.
- 3/5
Room was small for a premium room We asked the difference between premium and regular room and was told we got a higher floor other than that no difference I can say the location was good I cannot say I would recommend this hotel to anyone
- 5/5
We loved this hotel that we booked at the last minute. They do have valet service which is $48.00 a night, but most hotels do in Savannah. They have a good breakfast. I got the grits which usually make my mouth fill like sand , but these ones were creamy. We had an issue with the shower water not being hot, and they fixed that right away. They give you tokens for a free drink at their bar and unlimited water. Everyone was nice and I will stay there again.
- 2/5
Elevators broken. Took forever
- 5/5
We had a warm welcome and enjoyable stay. Staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The check in staff are so sweet and the bar tender was wonderful!
- 4/5
Good location. Nice bar area. Entrance with drop off hidden by construction sign. Unfortunately, a hotel that only provides 3 towels for 4 guests. Even more inconvenient because our family was out late and by the time it was the fourth family member’s turn to take a shower, it was 11:00pm and the front desk asked us to come down to the lobby to get a towel. Inconvenient.
- 5/5
The bar was awesome and had great drinks, the rooms were clean, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. One thing I really appreciated was that the included fees actually came with something worthwhile. Instead of feeling like a junk fee, they included tokens for free drinks at the bar every day, which was a really nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Was a nice quiet clean room, and nice comfortable beds. Loved the Lobby area and Tap Room lounge. Great location.
- 5/5
Hotel with plenty of character, very inviting bar and restaurant to spend part of your evening. Location is close to everything.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 4/5
- 25 USD destination fee (in exchange for drinks and breakfast but that should be optional) - 48 USD valet parking. Parking in the area was unexpectedly expensive. Parking + destination fee costs were similar to my night rate :/ Besides that, the hotel and the people working on it are awesome. The location is the best.
- 3/5
Street noise is terrible. Beds could use an upgrade. Staff super friendly. Not a terrible stay but we will choose a different hotel on our next stay.
- 5/5
Good breakfast. Tokens for drinks at the bar were a clever idea.
- 4/5
Good breakfast, clean rooms , very helpful staff
- 5/5
NA
- 5/5
Staff was great and location was great. The construction was a bit to navigate but not too bad.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff very accommodating and super close to everything.
- 4/5
Location was great!
- 3/5
The sink in the room did not drain, hallway carpet looked tired. Also restaurant was painfully slow to seat. We ended up leaving for breakfast both mornings.
- 4/5
Room was pretty clean, staff was friendly and great location.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. Zain was amazing to have conversation with!!
- 2/5
Construction on the property blocked off the main door and was very loud and noisy.
- 2/5
Construction limited the elevator access. Parking is ridiculously high. Just very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Great location. Small room but a nice place in the lobby to relax while waiting for my friend.
- 3/5
Room was clean the toilet / sink set up very weird. Traffic was very loud. Good location.
- 5/5
Room was great! Staff was helpful
- 4/5
The destination is perfect for walking the downtown Savannah area and there’s also a restaurant and bar in house. There’s quite a bit of construction happening but it doesn’t take away from enjoying the attractions and amenities.
- 3/5
Employees were not very friendly. Also, We were not told the elevator was down. And there was no way to go to our suite other then go down and up the stairs through this narrow hallway to the back carrying our suitcases. How can they charge more for a room with this inconvenience ?
- 5/5
We had such a nice stay at this hotel. The staff was lovely, the room clean and in a great location with being able to walk all over the city. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable, but it is what you would expect size wise for an historical building. There was some remodeling happening so a little disruption. Bay Street side is noisy so avoid if able. Loved the location. Close to historic downtown, great dining, and riverfront attractions in walkable distance.
- 4/5
The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable, but the bathroom was so tiny. Almost had to step in shower to close the door bc it was small. I stay in room 111 and that was my only complaint.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and staff was extremely friendly. Great location as well! You can walk to almost everything you want to cisit while in Savannah.
- 5/5
The location of this hotel was great. Our room sink drain was completely detached when we got there but we were able to have Maintenance come fix when we got back to the room simple fix, other than that great stay quiet hotel granted we were on the top floor. Overall this is most likely going to be my go to hotel for future stays
- 5/5
Clean room staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Excellent hotel
- 4/5
Great Staff.
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful. Our A/C unit wasn't working when we got there, but the engineering tech was there within a few minutes of our reporting it and got it fixed - he apologized for having to call someone else for advice because he'd only been on the job 3 days, but if he hadn't said anything we would have never thought he wasn't their most senior engineer.
- 3/5
Staff were business like, but not friendly. Room was not as clean as it should have been. Elevator trouble daily, very noisy room. The bathroom sink would not stop running
- 3/5
The shower had mold at the bottom , the tv was broken , and the water only got Luke warm. The sink water got hot but I wish that’s how the shower felt. The complimentary drinks were a good add on due to it being a $25 extra charge per night. Valet was slow the first 2 days. It was only 1 person working. The hotel is nice! Rooms are small but great location /area if you are going to be on river street.
- 5/5
Everyone was very helpful and the rooms were very clean
- 3/5
The room was just ok. It wasn't the cleanest; it showed a lot of wear (as did much of the hotel). Hot water takes a long time to come through the pipes for the shower. The shower doors were hung incorrectly. The valet entrance is through a very small, dingy side entrance. The carpet in the hallways is in dire need of cleaning/refurbishment. The location was central; however, a new hotel is being constructed right next to this one, and the construction noise was disturbing. Most disturbing was the very noisy nightlife. Loud party music could be heard throughout the night until 3 am! The coffee service in the lobby is not available throughout the entire day, and the cream provided is not fresh - it comes in small packets you have to open one at a time. A small selection of items available for purchase (snacks and drinks). On the bright side: Location is central. Coins are provided to be turned in for a limited number of drinks at the bar. The bar is open at 4 pm. Nice reception/lounge area. Staff were mostly friendly and almost as helpful as they could be. Dog friendly. Breakfast available for purchase in the dining room was ok.
- 4/5
Clean friendly and convenient to area
- 5/5
5 stars!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Location was great.
- 5/5
clean, great location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
I had a great time here. The hotel was clean and staff was fantastic and very polite.
- 3/5
The staff and the location are great. However, the room has poor sound insulation. We stayed in room 427. We could hear the conversations in room 429 through the interior door that connects both rooms. The shower water is not strong either.
- 4/5
Room was great. Staff was helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was lovely
- 4/5
The first day we had a small discussion with one of the member of staff but fortunately it was sort out so quickly by the manager of the hotel.
- 3/5
Room was clean, bed comfortable but crowded- Our shower had crumbling ceiling. Overall, an average room.
- 3/5
Great location for walking around the city. The valet and front desk staff were not very friendly and almost acted like it was a problem they had to check me. I stood at the valet desk for 10-15 mins before someone acknowledged I was there. The bar tender was amazing and very sweet and helpful. The food was not good. The room was strange. I purchased a premium room but it didn’t seem like it was premium. The sink for the bathroom was in the actual bedroom instead of the bathroom. We couldn’t watch Netflix or any other streaming service on the TV and couldn’t cast from our phones to the TV. Over all it was okay just because the location was good. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Beautiful room! Great location near restaurants, shopping. Very clean and attentive staff.
- 5/5
Hotel was very comfortable and modern. The staff was helpful and friendly. Was in a great location near the river and marketplace.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was friendly. Bar staff was great! When we left, I tipped the valet on the app only for him to tell me he doesn't get any of that since he is a new employee and move around to different locations. I know that is a valet company running that, but it would be nice to know in advance that they don't receive the tip money. I would have paid them all cash instead.
- 3/5
Had issues with hot water.
- 5/5
Great location and value. The hotel is a bit outdated, but the rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The bar is also a plus.
- 1/5
No hot water, had to switch hotels, good staff
- 2/5
The check in was the only bad experience. Valet was not attentive as I was struggling with removing a wheelchair and luggage. The young men did not even look up but other guests were helpful. An older valet then came to help. This was followed by a downgrade with the room due to a non working elevator and a leak in the room. Then the room key did not work. Other than that the room was good as well as the discounted price. Bar tokens also helped.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. I really appreciated the 2 tokens for drinks at the bar. I just wish that breakfast wasn't extra.
- 1/5
It was not disclosed there is no hot water in the building. The booking should not have been accepted when aware of that simple fact but failed to inform the guest they may desire to stay elsewhere until that problem is addressed. The room’s heater was also not working, less than ideal when it is in the 30s outside.
- 1/5
Immediately upon arrival , we found out that the sweet elevators were broken. Later that evening after going out all night , we found out that the hot water was not working in the entire building. We arrived on Friday and we left today, which is Monday and did not have hot water the entire time. The staff was very polite and couteous, except for one woman I spoke to on Sunday morning, that told me I was "free to check out and go elsewhere". The only other time something like this has happened to us. We were moved to a new hotel and comp.
- 2/5
No hot water. No free breakfast. Some staff were very rude.
- 3/5
Once you get past those positives, the room itself was very underwhelming for the price. The building is older, but renovations have been made to make it look more “modern”, overall it just didn’t look like the room was very well cared for. Most of what I noticed was cosmetic, but there were some functional problems as well: - mix-match light bulbs in the lamps (one bedside lamp had a warm bulb and the other had a soft bulb). - some of the decor was damaged (cracked tissue box on the vanity, and chipped furniture) - the sitting chair had very visible stains. - limited toiletry amenities (no cotton balls, q-tips, or glasses for the sink); this was the first hotel I’ve ever been to that didn’t have these things. - heater was loud and rattled every time it came on. - inconsistent shower water pressure. It would be decent for a few minutes, then literally slow to a trickle at random. Nobody else in the room was running water, so I assume this is probably a larger plumping issue within the hotel vs a singular room. - most of the room appliances were using power on the same wall, and a fuse blew when we tried to microwave food on our last morning.
- 4/5
Great location to select when visiting.
- 5/5
The Hotel is located in central spot of Savannah. Close to many restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Location was great and we got a good deal there. There was some construction going on at the time I was there, but no big deal
- 5/5
Great location, service beautiful bar, big rooms.
- 5/5
Yes great hotel
- 1/5
Hot water was not working. Main elevator broke. Rooms not cleaned. Valet service not worth the price and not friendly. Tvs are old. One and done.
- 4/5
Awesome location for NYE. Walking distance to everything downtown. Room was clean and comfortable. The taproom and restaurant were great for breakfast and happy hour. Valet guys were super friendly and helpful even though I any needed the car once. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. Will stay again without checking around.
- 5/5
Wonderful large room, front desk was courteous and dedicated
- 3/5
Elavator to my floor not working. Hall ways a little dingy. Furniture in room showing lots of wear. Claimed price included two breakfast’s, gave voucher that was not enough to cover basic breakfast. Valet parking, only option at $48 per night.
- 4/5
Good location for exploring Savannah, nice lobby and bar, room was cramped, and staff was inconsistent.
- 5/5
Room was clean Valet was efficient and friendly. Location was perfect. Walking distance to all the hot spots!
- 3/5
TV not working, only Valet parking, slow elevators…. We asked to move to new room but they said they were booked- I found rooms available online….
- 2/5
The front desk staff member who checked us in was so rude. She couldn’t crack a smile, even at my 6 year old child, and did not make us feel welcomed at all. I didn’t feel comfortable asking her any questions, as her responses all made me feel like I was wasting her time. I don’t go on vacation to feel like this.
- 5/5
Easy and convenient
- 5/5
Clean and cozy
- 5/5
Great location
- 1/5
This was a poorly ran hotel from many others I stayed at. The Maintenance department obviously has no idea what they are doing and dirty as well. This hotel needs better staffing from top to bottom. I was warned about staying there. I took a shower in the morning and the water was luke warm to cold at best. Better management is needed.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 4/5
The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was clean but could be improved, the maid missed trash and bottles under the table , dust on pictures and moldy spots in bathroom. But over all the stay was good
- 5/5
This hotel is located in the historic district and is close to all the attractions Savannah has to offer!
- 5/5
Place was clean, staff was super friendly, & checkin was quick!
- 5/5
Room was beautiful great location
- 4/5
First of all I’d like to say overall this hotel is very nice and our stay was good, room was clean and bed was comfortable. However, when we got there while waiting for valet we witnessed the valet man recklessly driving peoples cars, when it was our turn we asked if we could park ourselves because of what we saw and he was extremely rude about it and basically told us if we don’t like how he drives we can go park somewhere else. Then when we asked him to please drive our car safely he told us “I’ve been doing this for awhile I think I know what I’m doing”. So that was not a good start. Then we weren’t in the room type we paid for. Then at the end of the trip our receipt vs our price from hotels.com was very different. So it took a few days to get that sorted out but I was eventually issued a refund. All and all the area was great and the hotel was nice. The staff could use little training in how to speak to people.
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Breakfast was good but expensive $25+
- 5/5
Drink tokens ❤️
- 5/5
nice room, pleasant staff, good stay!
- 2/5
Had to be moved to a new room two times due to the smell of mold in the room and then pulled back the curtains and there was mold all over the window seal and condensation all between the windows. I’ve stayed there before and had no issue but it has definitely changed not for the better since the last time I’ve stayed!
- 4/5
People were very nice. I’m worried about initial billing . Hoping they will issue credit for parking they should not have billed.
- 3/5
First, let me say the staff was great! Very friendly. However, the hotel in general really needs a makeover. The old carpet in the hallways stink, and it seems they're masking the odor with some type of deoderizer. The whole place smells like grandma's perfume. Our room: the bathroom had no exhaust fan, the floors were dusty/dirty, the hot water in the shower took 15 minutes (no exaggeration) to warm up, and the lighting in the room was dismal. There were no overhead lights, and only 3 of the 4 lamps worked, but none of them lit the sink area. Had to basically get ready in the dark. I opted for the breakfast vouchers with my reservation, but I should not have. The food was mediocre at best. For the prices they charge ($20 for pancakes) it should have been much better. Everything was cooked in way too much grease. I could smell it and taste it. And someone in the kitchen needs to learn how to use some seasoning. Very bland. They serve coffee with breakfast, but no spoons on the table. I asked for spoons (there were 2 of us at the table), but received only one. In general, the whole place needs an upgrade. The best part was the free drink tokens (1 per person per day) to use at the bar. However, if you go to the bar when it's busy and order wine, you may not get it in a wine glass. They were out of those too. The location is great, but I won't be returning.
- 4/5
Location is very convenient. I found it a bit pricy plus parking is $49 per night.
- 1/5
We will never come back. We were violated, and made to feel like we were protected and our locks were all cut off right in front of their main entrance, in front of the valet desk and $10,000 stolen. And no responsibility taken. We regret our stay so much. Irreplaceable, valuable family heirloom firearms. Gone forever and now on the streets.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and room was clean
- 4/5
Location was good
- 2/5
25 dollars for destination fee is crazy Bugs in the room Very dirty
- 2/5
Hotel advertised robes and they don’t have them in the rooms anymore. Booked a premium room and the view was horrible. Room was very small.
- 5/5
Staff fantastic as always! Love staying here, feels like family
- 3/5
Not the friendliest of staff - A solid 3.
- 3/5
Room had knicks and loose connections. Seemed like was lacking attention. Toilet paper was poor quality. Hallway had a smell. Bedding could have been better for this quality of hotel.
- 5/5
Such a great place to stay, near so many restaurants and shops. Nice and quiet as well! Staff was lovely and so helpful.
- 5/5
Great staff, room and amenities. Location perfect.
- 3/5
The staff was fair. The rooms are cute and roomy but very noisy!!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, and great location
- 5/5
The sink was slow to drain and the blinds didn't cover all of the window.it was sticking in the track.
- 5/5
We love the location of this hotel and the employees are all terrific. They cater to your needs, the rooms are clean and housekeeping is friendly and accommodating. The bartenders are super knowledgable about the city and the front desk gang is top notch. Even the valets are fabulous. We'll be back!
- 5/5
I loved this hotel and will absolutely stay again when I'm visiting Savannah!
- 4/5
Clean and in a great location.
- 3/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Staff were great and very kind. Wonderful stay and weekend downtown. Good eats & drinks as well at the hotel.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and well stocked. The lobby area was very nice- the hotels location was excellent. The valet parking was so wonderful to have in the area.
- 3/5
Staff was unkind over the phone when calling with reservation questions. The hotel was clean and we enjoyed the bar. However, our bathroom light was out and it took hours for someone to come fix it. When the gentleman who came to fix it was very kind and respectful when in our room.
- 3/5
Pros - Great location, valet parking, friendly staff, clean room. Cons - Small room, high prices, dirty windows, and exterior plants were dead with trash in the plant beds (around the front of the building).
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff were very pleasant and the location is great. We will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
Fantastic place to explore the city from.
- 5/5
The hotel staff were extremely pleasant, the rooms were comfortable and the location is perfect!
- 5/5
The lady at check-in was very nice. Our first room wasn't ready so she upgraded us! Over all the hotel was great and so close to all the things we wanted to do while in town!
- 5/5
The elevators did not work reliably. Otherwise our stay was very comfortable and fun.
- 3/5
The room was clean. The beds were hard and made my hips hurt. The room was very wet and damp feeling. I believe they have a water issue from somewhere. The AC was new so It was not from there. The room was very small with the sink in the middle of the room not in the bathroom, and the bathroom was tiny so it was very hard to change clothes for privacy. The elevator area sinks badly with some kind of spray.
- 4/5
Drinks tickets and percentage off the restaurant, but you pay $25 up front for it as an added fee. I would say that it’s still worth it. Overall great experience!
- 5/5
The sink was in the room, not in the bathroom. Using the very bright light around the sink interfered with other sleeping guests in the room. NOT an ideal solution. Lack of hooks in the bathroom for towels was noted. Rooms facing Bay St were very noisy from truck traffic from early morning 'til after dark. A mandatory $25 destination fee (+ tax on that fee) sermed overkill. It gave you, a.o., free wi-fi and one free drink per guest per day. The location was superb and within walking distance of everything tourists come to town to see and do. The staff was nice and friendly.
- 5/5
We had a great time, It was Halloween weekend everyone was dressed and partying --just what we were looking for. The hotel staff were great in getting our car parked and providing room related stuff.
- 4/5
Property was nice and very close to all the attractions in Savannah. Our room was very clean.Only complaint I have is the moldy smell from the room when walking into the room. All the staff was professional and helpful.
- 3/5
Kinda dirty, pet hair and dust bunnies everywhere. Soaps in shower empty. Elevator not working. Valet parking a bit pricey. Could have stayed cheaper or equal for better experience.
- 2/5
The breakfast was decent, but the “drink coupons” we “had to pay for as it was non negotiable” had a selected menu to choose from, and we were only allowed to pick one mocktail. For the price we paid for this trip, I was super excited to surprise my husband. I definitely won’t be going to this hotel ever again.
- 1/5
Loudest hotel room, I’ve ever stayed in. 5 feet from Bay Street sidewalk.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Great location.
- 3/5
Staff was not especially friendly or helpful. Loud trucks could be heard driving past all day and all night.
- 5/5
Great view of the bridge.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and responsive. The property was clean, and everything was walkable and convenient. I would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
First floor carpet smells and the room smells wet, but the hotel is in a great location. It was a good stay after all.
- 1/5
Cleaning crew did a terrible job with room cleanup. The lobby was stinking and the staff was not courteous.
- 1/5
From the start we were terribly disappointed and let down. The first room provided reeked of pot! Also there was a running dehumidifier in the middle of the room. The next room provided smelled musty/unclean. The carpets in the hallway were disgustingly dirty/dingy. The lobby reeked of piss. For such a grand location and building, it is in desperate need of upkeep. It seems the owners of the hotel do the least amount of maintenance possible. There was two elevators in the main lobby yet only one was in service causing a traffic jam. We had to wait for extended to use the elevator. And this is just the hotel! We drove my wife’s new 4Runner on this trip and knew since there was MANDATORY valet there would be limited traffic around our 4Runner. This morning at checkout we requested her car when I jumped in to drive I noticed a large scratch and ding. We called and notified the hotel of the damage. They said they’d notify the manager and be in touch within 48 hours. We do have a case number am hopeful that the damage they did will be repaired but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again even if it were free.
- 2/5
Parking was fine. Valet.
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 5/5
Yep
- 3/5
Our bed in room 233 was very creaky and unstable feeling. The bed frame was loud and very mobile. Mattress was very uncomfortable as well.
- 5/5
That it was never told about the 45 parking a night and all of thr fees
- 5/5
Safe and convenient for solo traveler. Helpful staff!
- 5/5
Beuatiful location , a close walk to everything. Great bar. And free drink tokens??? That’s awesome. Just one thing. Don’t go so heavy on the floor waxing. They are very slippery and could cause a fall. Other than that. We will be back.
- 1/5
Rooms were not clean properly. First room that was assigned had sand on the floor and dust everywhere. Front desk kindly assigned me to a different room, unfortunately the second room had mold along the baseboard, chair and shower. I ended up leaving the hotel immediately. Expedia was fantastic in refunding me my money.
- 4/5
We had a hard with the air conditioning it was either to cold or to humid. The floors were damp with humidity most of the stay. Other then that we had a great stay. It was a very walkable area.
- 5/5
Great property for pets, only a few steps from a great park for bathroom trips for pups. Have stayed here several times. It is near all the good places and love that you get a free drink per night to make up for the city fee. The bar here is great. You won't be disappointed. The only thing we did not like, is they did not have the ability to cast to the TV if you are trying to watch football in your room and they did not have the channel (we were looking for SEC network).
- 1/5
Key cards kept deactivating, barged in on by hotel staff 3 times, rusted out mini fridge, rusted out bed side clock, musty room, and chilling furniture. Extremely out dated and not worth the price. Worst stay I have had in years
- 5/5
Moldy
- 2/5
We were disappointed. We experienced problems with the TV, the alarm clock, and regulating the temp in the room. In addition, the coffee maker did not work! Extra fees were not expected.
- 2/5
I would never stay here again. I usually stay at the Hyatt when I’m in Savannah and after this stay will go back to it. This is my first and my last stay at this hotel. YUCK. My first room reeked of wet dog/dogs odor. It was so unappealing to the already unpleasant smell (urine) in the lobby. The hotel had an out of service elevators. The one operating elevator was dirty from guests spilling drinks and staff not keeping up with cleaning it. Dents on the walls in the hallway AND hotel room. Hallways smelled stale like cigarettes or a nursing home. The shower door in my second room was broken and almost fell on me when I was sliding it open. I didn’t bother to say anything as this was still a step up from the horrors of my first room. Housekeeping is a joke…my shower is dirty AFTER and I see an unfamiliar hair in my shower that was not there last night or this morning BEFORE housekeeping. Additionally they do not sweep the rooms as obvious stuff that was on the floor when I arrived remained on the floor when I came back in afternoon. The ONLY thing great about this hotel is the drink tokens. Otherwise you couldn’t pay me to stay here. I now understand why it was so affordable.
- 3/5
good location
- 3/5
Very convenient to Riverwalk area! Nice lounge and restaurant area. Air conditioning needs adjustment and first nite a very musty smell in room! I believe the comforter on the one bed was damp(like it wasn’t totally dry when put on bed) I tried sleeping there but was not pleasant with the damp feel and smell! Next night it was gone! That’s my guess!
- 4/5
This place is amazing! The staff was super nice and accommodating. The staff felt like family.-
- 4/5
Great location, everything is pretty walkable from this location. I was a little upset that when I checked in, I was given a different room from the one I had originally booked. Luckily, the staff was amazing and we were able to move to the room that we needed the next day. Everyone was really nice, the room was nice and spacious once we got into it. You can hear the outside traffic a lot from our king suite on the third floor, so that kept me up a little at night, but other than that, everything was very nice. I was a little disappointed in the drink tokens only being able to be used on a few limited drinks. And we were supposed to receive a breakfast for two and a dinner for two and we did not receive that.
- 4/5
Had a nice stay. A lizard was in our room. Got him with a towel & brought him outside. I guess that’s to be expected on the 1st floor
- 3/5
Terrible service and staff are rude. $48 a night to use valets bc no parking but the attendants were clueless and seemed annoyed that they actually had to go get the cars. One even rolled their eyes. Had to reregistered our name in the system every time to get our car bc apparently couldn’t figure it out. Check in overcharged us by $280 and when trying to explain she was rude and annoyed as well and now have to wait for it be refunded. At one point my husband started walking in wrong directions down a hall that led to offices and a manager or employee stopped him and as he turned around to go she turned around to other employees and started laughing with them about it. How so unprofessional. The hotel itself was nice. Love the historic feel to it and beds and room were clean and comfortable. With that being said I won’t be back. You can have the nicest place but it’s the people and staff you remember. I’ll def be staying somewhere else on my many trips to Savannah.
- 5/5
This place is amazing
- 5/5
Only thing I would be prepared for was an extra $150 charge for incidentals just in case. ( suppose to refund if not used. ) And a $54 resort fee plus $48 each night for parking. So whatever the cost of your room add another $300 to that.
- 4/5
Location was great.. we had a few maintenance problems but the staff was right on it.. for a historical atmosphere good place to stay .. only complaint… valet parking is over priced but after being in town for several days realize they were in line with others..
- 5/5
Awesome stay. Love the complimentary drinks! Great location.
- 4/5
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The parking was easy the valet was terrrific. Loved the extra amenities like the free drink each evening and waters when needed. Highly recommend
- 4/5
Location is great though street can get a little noisy. Staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
No one at the front desk to check in and no one around for check out. Road noise from Bay Street was loud. Bartender was great. Morning coffee and fruit was lacking fruit. Leftover apples was it. Not worth $25 fee
- 3/5
The room was stink and dirty.
- 4/5
It was a nice and comfy stay for my family and I. It's walking distance from most places. Unlimited water(bottled, fruit-infused) was pleasant. Complimentary drinks(from the bar/morning coffee) and fruits from the lobby each day was decent.
- 4/5
Very good location for shopping & enjoying river street, we liked we were able to walk to all the things we wanted to see while there.
- 1/5
Mold all over bedroom ceiling (have video). Didn’t notice as I dropped bags, left for the day, came back and went to bed. Was horrified when I woke up. Spoke to employee, who moved me to a room that had an unworking TV. No apology. Mold is dangerous and I have an autoimmune disease. Had to ask for some compensation and hotel nickeled and dimed me. Check your ceiling if in room 206!
- 5/5
I loved it and ac was great super cold and I would definitely come back again
- 5/5
It was very clean. Customer Service was excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent service and treatment of all its employees
- 5/5
The new renovations
- 5/5
In a great location close to many restaurants and attractions
- 5/5
Mandatory valet parking was a huge negative. Very expensive. Parked in a garage nearby instead. Pretty nice place though. Good bar and good location if you want to be in the historic district. Great staff.
- 1/5
My AC in room 237 didn't work. I had to call twice to get someone up. When the maintenance man arrived close to 10p he was annoyed to assist. He fixed the AC. An hour later the AC thermostat stopped working again. I had to pack and move to 337. No ice machine worked on the 2nd or 3rd floors.
- 2/5
The room was slightly dirty and very very muggy. For the amount I paid and it being marketed as a “boutique hotel”, it was not nice. the water pressure in the shower was not good and could have been cleaned better.
- 3/5
When we arrived I didn't know about the Valet parking. Also no complimentary breakfast. The bed was comfortable but I did see a roach. We only stayed one night. Evidently they know about that problem.
- 3/5
Just stayed over night with my family. The room was o.k. But just that. Definitely was not worth what we ended up paying for only 1 night.
- 3/5
People are great, room was a bit dated & really bad lighting.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean and in a great location. Our room had some issues. The sink didn’t drain well, the bathroom door closed halfway and then got hung on the floor. Mold spots over the shower and behind the door. Room 307 off back elevator.
- 4/5
Staff is professional and friendly. Room was clean. Location is awesome, walkable to all the great spots! Mattress was old and sunken in though.
- 4/5
Property was great, staff was nice, and the room was comfy. We stayed one night and enjoyed being able to walk to dinner.
- 5/5
Excellent overall! From the great suite, drink tokens (try their Tybee Twist) to a mini convenience store in lobby...A friendly, professional staff...perfect location to walk to riverfront and SCAD area of the city..Dog friendly!
- 2/5
The hotel is musty and there was literally moisture on the floor throughout the room. I shuffled around the room on the hand towel. They said all the rooms are like this. I hope they fix it bc the lobby and location are nice.
- 4/5
I liked the categories listed above. The parking was too expensive. A garage close by was maximum of $15/day.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
This place was perfect. It was clean and spacious. (2 people- mother and daughter) greeted with welcoming staff, valet was proactive and explained how they worked. We were not hurried. Greeted in the hotel by welcome staff and given complimentary drinks at their bar. Room was expected, cozy feeling - not cozy small. It was exactly what was needed. Area around the hotel was walkable to everything - downtown, dining, shopping, walk near the River. All within a few minutes.
- 4/5
Great location, walkable, staff was friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
Our room was musty when we walked in. Woke in the middle of the night too wet floors. Our clothes and bedding were damp as well! No refund was given as it was booked through Travelocity very disappointing
- 3/5
The best part of staying here were the employees. Extremely helpful, friendly and courtesous. Great pet hotel, just no place to walk the dog except to cross a busy street to a small park. However, the suite rooms on one side of the property were horrible. Upon exiting from the elevator, the overwhelming smell of mildew was sickening. It never got better, even when they tried to mask it with air freshner. Room was dark and gloomy, yet plenty of space. Our view was the parking garage and at night, many drunks hung out and it was loud. City street noise didn't bother us, but out of control individuals did. There was a shooting just up the block one night, so being careful after 8:30 p.m. is highly encouraged. The small bar and dining area was ver nice. Great steaks served in dining; free drink tokens at the bar, but wine choice is Horrible! We will not stay here again, even though it was cheaper than those around. Now we know why! Again, great employees was the best around.
- 5/5
The quality of service! Customer service was excellent! Manager was AMAZING! Me and my family enjoyed our stay. Minor things I encountered was quickly addressed and accommodated. Thanks to all at The Hotel Indigo. A+
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
was a fun part of a fun trip to savannah room was very nice. paying for parking when you spend so much to stay at the hotel is irritating and makes me feel like im being nickeled and dimed. same with the resort fee. give me the price of the true price of the room up front and dont nickel and dime us to death with extra made up fees.
- 5/5
Great Location and easy in and out checking. Also welcome cocktail
- 5/5
Savanna was beautiful very historical. Enjoyed the scenery.
- 2/5
There was black mold on the ceiling and the room smelled musty. I think the mold is coming from the ventilation system. This is hazardous to health.
- 1/5
Why was my booking 250.00 including taxes and fees bit when i get to property its 300.00 plus 75 deposit. I understood the deposit but why to 50 upcharge
- 1/5
The room had black mold
- 5/5
Great stay. Very easy check in. Everything was clean and provided drink tokens at the bar. Will come back again!
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Surprise for a $50 parking fee..Very high compaired to other places. It was not in fees when I booked. But the place was nice and staff was WONDERFUL
- 4/5
Room could have been cleaner and we were in a first floor room next to the street so it was a bit noisy
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay! Room was clean & staff was excellent! Bartender downstairs was amazing!
- 1/5
Mold growing in shower and walls. Used balled up tissue sitting on top of bathroom sink. Mold and dust in air con units. Skid marks in toilet. Room smelled of moisture and mildew. Water damage to floor. Door frame coming off. Broken glass in bathroom.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel and staff!
- 2/5
Some of the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Hotel was kind of dirty
- 5/5
Our only complaint would be the intense aroma in the lobby and restaurant area. I know most people might like this but we felt it was to overpowering. We did not eat in the restaurant or stay in the lobby for long because it was making my daughter cough every time we were in that area. It was especially strong in the hallway on the way to our room on the first floor. We did visit the bar twice but just briefly as we could almost taste the aroma in our drinks. Only suggestion is non skid bath mat for the shower as I found it slippery. I still would rate this hotel a 5 since everything else was up to par.
- 3/5
The valet parking was excellent, we were greeted with smiles and great energy. I feel the same with check-in and checkout. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and felt safe. We were given tokens for complementary drinks (one token for one drink) to use in the restaurant or bar area of the hotel. However, Our waiter explained to us that the tokens were for the beer and wine options, no cocktail options. Which I thought was very misleading and unfair considering we chose to have dinner in the restaurant to use the tokens. So, we decided to pay for cocktails and then use the tokens for maybe a wine after dinner. But when the waiter came back to get our plates, he took the tokens and said we could not use them anymore. Which I thought was very unfair considering the price of this hotel. I stay in many hotels in Savannah often, not sure if I’ll be going back to this one.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
We loved our stay at this hotel in Savannah! The location was perfect, right in the heart of everything, which made it easy to explore the city on foot. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The only downside was the parking cost at $48 a day, but overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely stay again!
- 5/5
This place is amazing , in the center of all attractions, close to all the best restaurants in Savannah. The breakfast is really great I do recommend the crab Benedict ohhh my gosh is to die for.
- 4/5
Very little hot water in the shower though it was fine in the sink.
- 1/5
I did not like the valet situation; I did not like the dining room experience, when I asked the front desk for assistance they did not want to help. I also asked for the WiFi password and the one I received did not work.
- 4/5
Out room was never made up even though we were out of it all day.
- 5/5
Great, modern new hotel in historic district
- 4/5
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Valet parking was expensive.
- 5/5
Loved the fragrance being pumped into the lobby. Smelled like Nest’s Indigo.
- 2/5
Not clean rooms need upgrade valet great
- 5/5
Always a wonderful stay!! Love coming here
- 4/5
1 bedroom king suite. The front desk staff was nice and helpful..The hotel was in walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We never had to drive our car anywhere.
- 4/5
Great location! Very walkable.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Great location. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Did not like that we didn’t get the free parking as promised. We got here and were told parking was by valet only and was $48 per night.
- 1/5
No air conditioning until 11:30. Parking on Expedia was $31. Nice letter from manager said $48.
- 5/5
It was a great hotel and very convenient to the attractions. The restaurant had great breakfast. Love their flavored water that is by the check in. Everyone seemed nice. The valet guys were great help. My only complaint is the bathtub did not have anti slip strips and I slipped and fell out of the bathtub on the floor, just pulled muscle in my thigh. I am just thankfuly mom did not fall.
- 3/5
The hotel lobby and outside area had a nice ambience, however the tv in the room is outdated compared to everything else that is modern. It was also a small congested room. Our A/C also kept cutting off and on making a clicking sound when the fan was on low. The comforter on our bed also had multiple stains on it that we had to wait until the next day to get another one because we didn’t notice until we were going to bed and housekeeping had left. For the price we paid for the room those things are unacceptable. We did enjoy the two drinks a day complimentary at the hotels bar. The valet parking was quick but I feel it is at an outrageous price. Located in great area.

I love the Indigo Hotwl. I stay there every time I stay in Savannah, GA. One because it is in the most perfect spot. Walking distance from the square and from River St. But I just wish that my points would reflect on my account even if I do my reservation through a 3rd party.

Great location. Easy check in and check out. Did not appreciate being charged $25 per day for drink tokens without the ability to opt out. I do not drink and was traveling with my 15 year old daughter. $50 is a lot to waste. Valet guys were awesome. Room had exposed wires hanging out of the wall--safety issue if small kids were in the room.

Convenient to river walk. Service for breakfast was awful. No etiquette by our wait staff. I would not recommend. Got confused on reservation. We meant to stay at Alida Hotel. We won't forget next time.

This is my 3rd time choosing Hotel Indigo for my birthday stay. I have always had an amazing experience, and will continue to use this beautiful establishment for my future stays.

We’ve stayed here before and it was great but this time it was less than par. Don’t get me wrong, the location is amazing, but that’s about it. When you’re paying 700$ for two nights I do have some higher expectations for the property but it felt like I was at a value hotel. The elevators were broken, the carpets on our floor were wet constantly. The AC in our room was constantly leaking leaving our floors wet. Our toilet was always running and our phone was broken so when I had to call down for more towels since I didn’t have enough for everyone in the room, I had to call through on my cell. Plus, the front desk let random people charge items from the marketplace to our room. I would avoid this hotel for the price they are asking. It overall just felt dirty and run down.

Heavy doors to bathroom and a bit dusty. That was my dislikes

The floor was dirty! The shower was dirty! I had to wipe something off the floor and my wet wipe was black. That was when we first arrived. And the shower had mildew and other people’s hair. That’s gross.

Not worth the price.
