Spark by Hilton Savannah South I-95

What I liked are the people were nice & they were able to help me out. There was free parking & breakfast. What I didn't like is the paintings were coming off. There could've been more breakfast selections. The bathtub could've been a bigger tub & the water could've been hotter.

Quiet and clean

The room was clean. The breakfast was OK, but there was no AC in the building except in the rooms so anytime you stepped out of your room. It was so hot.

Overall the stay was fine. There is not adequate parking at this location. On one of our nights of stay we had to park 2 hotels away due to no parking. I was told it fine because they own that location as well. It seems there was an overflow from the hotel directly across from our stay. There were trucks hauling trailers and took up 10 parking spots. It was an inconvenience and also having my vehicle parked at another property was not a safe option. The daytime staff was exceptional nice. The overnight staff was less than pleasant. There was space to park at the drive thru location in the front of the lobby. We were not allowed to park there.

The Spark hotel was an excellent budget friendly hotel.

I have no issue with the property just hotels.com. My experience with your company was horrible. It was not clear during making a reservation that I needed to choose pay now to use gift cards. Then when I spoke to someone they told me I could use all my gift cards on the sight to rebook when we changed it and would not help me rebook on the phone. I was only able to use one gift card and have 3 others that I want applied to this stay. I expect a phone call to help with this process so that I can get the refund I am deserving of with having the multiple gift cards to use. If not, I will be calling on Monday to file my official complaint and insist help with this process.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I want to give big shoutout and thanks to Reneta(sp), for her assistance, her great personality, and her friendly conversations. She’s an asset to Sparks.

The biggest issue was the air conditioning system. If you can sleep through any level of noise, this may not bother you, but for us it made the stay very uncomfortable. Each room has a standard window AC unit, ours was extremely loud—louder than the refrigerator located directly across from the bed. Whenever the AC turned on, the walls would vibrate, and the vibration could be felt while lying in bed. We could also hear and feel the air conditioners turning on in neighboring rooms, as the noise and vibration traveled through the building. The breakfast was also very disappointing. We have stayed in many hotels of this type, but this was by far the poorest breakfast selection we have encountered. There were only a few types of stale pastries that could be toasted, cereal with milk, and scrambled eggs. The quality and variety were far below expectations. Cleanliness was inconsistent. The towels were replaced daily, which we appreciated, but the toilet was not properly cleaned during our stay. In addition, water drained very slowly in the shower and would pool while showering. We frequently stay in budget and mid-range hotels, so our expectations were realistic. However, this was one of the worst experiences we have had in this category. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again, even for a short visit.

Was not happy with this hotel. The room was fine, but the hotel looked dirty and needs maintenance. Ice Machine on 3rd floor was not working. Next day (after I checked out) I received a call from a rude hotel manager accusing me of leaving blood stains on the hotel sheets. After pushing back and telling him there was NO WAY I did that.. he then told me he dialed the wrong number and hung up on me. No apologies... he just hung up. Will definitely not stay here again.

An excellent place to spend an overnight while traveling. The breakfast was nice and plenty of options. Parking was easy. Bathroom was clean. The bare floor was my only nit as it was a little echoing whenever I coughed (battling a cold).

They have great toilets and bathrooms but the cleaners need to clean it well. You can see that they did the bare minimum. The hotel was great ,perfect for 1 night not longer.

There was a very visible black hair in the bathtub. I have grey hair. In the morning a man knocked at 10:26 and then opened the door before I could answer to see if I had left yet. Very rude, should not have done this unti 11:00 or after.

Decent for an overnight stay while traveling through, probably wouldn’t want to spend more than a couple nights here. The bed was very comfy though

We stay here twice a year when we drive North from FL. We like the free parking, wifi and breakfast. We like the blackout window coverings and the ability to put a light on in the bathroom without a loud fan. We wish it were closer to downtown and think it should be cheaper. Also, sometimes the line of traffic to the main road is impossibly long.

The staff was delightful and the property was well maintained. Where I had an issue was I called a few days prior to my arrival to inform that I have severe chemical sensitivities. I requested no air freshener and to air out my room if strong cleaning chemicals were used. I asked the lady to make a note in my customer profile and to select a room that was not recently cleaned to avoid issue. When I entered my room, it was a full on wave of Fabuloso.i had to blast the fan and leave my room with the door propped open for a few hours so I could even be in there I couldn't sleep due to a horrible headache. Everything else about the stay was just right, but I would strongly encourage a more environmentally friendly choice of cleaning products or at the very least, be honest when people clearly state their concern and answer a direct question about it.

The Woman at the front desk ( think her name is Reneda) was spectacular! Super friendly and helpful. Everything in general was pretty darn good. We will be staying there again because of how much we liked Reneda. In closing, most hotels are basically acceptable but their people skills are somewhat "iffy". NOT HERE! Worth giving them a try for sure.

Areas have rooms to do better : laundry room is no ac, fitness room is unfinished, hotel hallway needs to maintain cleaniness and repaint all damaged walls. In the room faucet and curtain for shower are all not secured.

Breakfast was one of the sparsest complimentary breakfasts I've ever seen for any hotel chain. Definitely needs to be improved.

Perfect hotel to stay if you need a place to sleep on a road trip and hit the beautiful Savannah.

The quickest check in, I've ever done. The gentlemen at the desk was very nice. The parking lot is very well lit up. There was plenty of parking available too and we got there late in the night. The room was very clean and HUGE. I'm 6'7" and when i have to get up in a normal room, it only takes me 3 steps and I'm on the other side it seems. In our room, i felt like i took 10 steps to get to the other side haha. Will stay there and at more Spark hotels, if they're like that one. 10 out of 10 for my wife and I.

We really enjoyed staying at Spark Hilton for a night, the bed was so comfortable that we slept through breakfast! So we aren’t sure what they had but I guess you could draw your own conclusions since it was from Hilton. Also the property was clean and well maintained.

This property did seem updated and clean, however, the breakfast was terrible. We did not even stay for that.

Hotel is in safe area. We came. We slept. We ate a decent breakfast. We left. This Spark checked all the boxes!

Floor in room 211 poor installation. Vinyl slightly coming loose in many areas. No coffee in room. Other than above, property very nice.

Bare bones hotel. Pretty clean but needs upgrades. No coffee maker or tea kettle, no blowdryer, only one, very small trash can. Need one by the desk and one in the bathroom. Need soap by the sink. Bedside lights need to be much lower wattage. No place for suitcase. Weird smell throughout building.

Passing thru the area, this hotel was clean, well lit, we felt safe. We are 2 seniors that arrived after dark. Just for the night, wishing we could stay longer. Breakfast was very satisfying, and the employees are all pleasant. We will return next time we are in area.

It looks like a motel 6 or similar brand was renamed to include Hilton. I previously associated the Hilton brand with a level of quality. This is not that level. It appears to be repainted with the rebranding, and a new loveseat added. But there are no desk chairs, coffee makers, or microwave ovens yet. The plumbing fixtures need to be replaced. Hard to use the shower knob because it just spins because it is stripped. I don’t believe the towels were replaced during rebranding. The charging station was Tesla compatible only. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Property was good , breakfast decent , very clean , the house keepers made our beds and gave us clean towels , I do really appreciate that. Pillows smell good towels where like new and beds comfortable .

We needed a clean room for the night and this hotel served that purpose. It would've been better with hot water in the shower and a working TV. The water was only slightly hotter than lukewarm. The TV streaming service quit working when we were part way through a show. We called the front desk but they just said to wait and maybe it would come back on. It didn't. Oh well. There are plenty of other hotels around there to try the next time we're in the area.

Nice area around for walking dogs. Very quiet even though it was pretty full. Since all the dog people I know are meticulous about cleaning up after their dogs you need to empty the container for waste. It was over flowing.

I was charged 100 for incidentals without being told that from my booking. The facility was decent. Good options weren’t a lot.

The lady at the front desk was courteous and helpful. The first room had a strong scent of mildew. Then 2nd room also had a mildew smell but not as strong. The A/C wouldn't adjust when we tried turning it down, we tried turning it off, it wouldnt turn off. Cold air blew directly on us the entire time. The shower and bathroom needed improvement. The breakfast was horrible, the eggs were runny and the bagels were hard as rocks. We just got coffee and checked out. I normally don't write this type of report but i had to so they can improve the hotel to please their upcoming customers. The exterior of the building is beautful as well as the lobby.

The hotel was excellent! Very clean with a completely new renovation. The front desk was friendly and check-in was quick. A huge plus is the Tesla Destination Charger, which was super convenient during our trip. Breakfast was also good. Definitely recommend for a stopover.

Check in was easy and the manager, Mr. Petal was very helpful and thoughtful. I was having difficulty to make connection with the WiFi, he helped me to solve the problem. He also helped me to tour the City of Savannah. Thanks very much, Mr. Petal!

We stayed in a Stark Hotel in Atlanta GA and it was awesome and so much nicer. This Stark night staff was very nice and accommodating but the morning staff not friendly or accommodating at all. I didn't appreciate the smell of the room, bare floors were not as clean as should be for our 10lb service dog wanted to constantly smell the floor in certain areas. It was warm in the room and could not get it below 70 but I'm sure the extreme high ceilings had something to do with it. I wanted a copy of my receipt and the desk clerk said no because we booked with Hotels.com but I wanted the receipt for the $100.00 deposit for my service dog so I would be able to call to discuss if I don't receive it back.

Clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pet-friendly. Plenty of EV chargers on site. My only complaint was that there was a group of loud customers that seemed to constantly be walking through the hallway. Not the hotel's fault, just happened to be staying at the same time.

Our room is very large. A lot of wasted space honestly. Very little storage space for clothing. But enough for us for one night. I would stay again.

The property has been refurbished with paint, new carpet, new floors, and furniture. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had enough to satisfy your breakfast need but no meat. They had eggs, pancakes, muffins, and fresh bagels. I would stay again for an overnight.

Spent the night here on a drive from Orlando to Myrtle Beach. We got the top notch Hilton quality for a very reasonable price. It was great for a one night stop off, great breakfast in the morning before we continued our drive!

I was scammed out of my money

We stayed one night and enjoyed our stay. My only concern was the gap under the door in the room and being able to hear things from the hallway and vise versa. Otherwise it was great.

Bedding was very clean and comfortable. Parking is nowhere in view of half the rooms. The parking you can see from the window is reserved for some sort of customer upgrade (pay for it). The elevator was out of order. Yes, carried all my luggage to the second floor. The tub clogged and filled with water for my shower and the neighbors plumbing from above leaked through the ceiling of my bathroom, all over the floor, all night. These are not new problems that show up in one night. This whole building lacks routine maintenance. Either because management is inexperienced at upkeep, or too cheap to keep up with it. I have never left a negative review for a motel before. These things just happened one after the other snd was too much to ignore. I had to stand in that water to use my own toilet. Find somewhere else to stay.

The front desk woman was very rude when I arrived early and requested early check in. She went on and on about the cleaning staff need time to fix the room. She then told me I couldn’t leave my pet alone in the room. When I went down for coffee in the morning, I took my little chihuahua with me and she then told me no pets in the dining area. Mainly it was her attitude. She seemed angry and was not very pleasant.

This place is not a real Hilton but with the price. Everything was dirty and I woke up itchy.

The front foyer and hall smelled terribly of mold or some weird smell. The room was set at 66 so you didnt notice any smell till you walked into the hall and it hit you in the face. The breakfast is very limited and the cereal was soft and stale. The king bed was very close to the side wall by the air conditioning unit, and the floor was wet. At one time thete must have been a ceiling fan, nowremoved with live exposed wires. Not sure if this would pass an inspection. Definitely would NOT return

The property is well updated. Great for the price. The EV chargers are 6 Tesla Destination chargers, however they were all offline. If they were working, they are paid.

No ac in the hallways, staff at front was sleeping upon arrival, and sidewalk work was being done in the rain with all the sand causing just brown dirty water that you had to walk through.

We booked for a quick overnight stay on our way north up I95 from Florida. The hotel was obviously refurbished hastily and was not very bright or welcoming. Our room was "clean" but my husband complained the vinyl flooring felt greasy. In addition, the bed was very uncomfortable and continental breakfast the next morning was meager. It's ok for the price range and area but will probably stay elsewhere in future.

This was the hotel we went to after fleeing from the ECONO LODGE in North Charleston. And it was a night and day experience. The hotel was clean, well lit. The front desk clerk showed me the room prior to assigning it to make sure I was happy. We checked in around 1120pm on

The area was a pretty sketchy, I made sure to not leave anything at all in the car.

I was expecting a new hotel in new condition since Hilton Spark is a new hotel offering. But, that wasn’t the case. The building must have been an existing structure that the franchise took over. Our room was clean, but the condition of the room wasn’t great. The staff was wonderful with providing a toothbrush and extra firm pillows.

I like the blackout curtains, the spaciness, the fact that a loud motor doesn't go on when i turn on the bathroom light. It is convenient to I-95 and downtown. Easy parking at the hotel. Free breakfast. Reasonable rate. We stay here every time we come through Savannah.
