Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, noise and thin walls are frequently mentioned issues, along with some complaints about the beds and lack of housekeeping.

Everything was fine except the A/C would not cool below 72. That's too warm for me to really sleep which is the main point of getting a hotel room.
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. Comfortable bed and pillows. Loved having a small refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. Check in time was 3p and check out was 11am which was great! The available parking spaces has improved as we were able to find one at 10:30pm unlike previous visits.

This is our second day at four points in Scotts Valley, we really do like this hotel. We feel like it is well cared for and comfortable. A few things we would like to share the others need to be aware of, the doors are heavy and close loudly so if you’re a light sleeper, this might be a problem for you. This time we had an adjoining room door and we could hear the people next to us clearly, even some things we wish we hadn’t heard. Overall, we would stay here again. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Loud closing doors. Construction happening during the time we were there.

Only had lukewarm water. I made a complaint when I got there and was told that "no one else was complaining about it". Then on the last day the whole hotel was out of hot water. Asked for a discount but nothing addressed yet. They were still booking rooms even they didn't have hot water—guests were trying to switch to a new room that had hot water and the staff wasn't informing the new guests that the hotel was out of hot water.

Location AC didn’t work and I asked for it to be fixed twice with no results. Also reported TV could not be turned on with remote and had to locate button on back of TV to turn on. This never got fixed as well when reported. I asked for the manager to call me on two different days and I did not receive a return call. When I reported to the front staff that the AC was still not working , the Front staff tried to blame it on the system not being on. I explained the system was on but not working. I have a masters in engineering and don’t need to be insulted. Attached is a photo .. the system was on with a setpoint of 66 and it was 74 in the room. I had to sleep with the doors going to the outside patio open to cool off the room.

We showed up for our 3pm check in to be told that our room was not going to be ready until 5pm. We had to sit in the lobby for two hours and all they discounted was the $10 parking fee for the weekend. The front desk guy was really nice though so blame put on him. Also, if you’re a shy person when I comes to using the bathroom the suite room that we had had a rolling door that left an inch crack in it. If you’re on the toilet you could be seen by someone on the bed.

Room was ok, except the blinds were broken The restaurant was aweful. And the hotel hallways were extremely noisy.
- 3/5
Okay stay overall, though soured by improper cleaning. On first night after check-in, found hairs, probably from previous guests, in bathroom, as well as hair stuck to the nightstand in the suite by some mystery gooey substance. Bathroom also had an odd unpleasant smell, somewhat like a sewer would smell like. Not fun going in there. Didn't have a long stay, so just pushed through.
- 4/5
Loved the room, and the staff was lovely, but we were next to the gym and it was so loud all night long. People would drop weights and it would shake the bed. But if you are staying in another part of the hotel it will be awesome!

The place was super clean and we loved the room. The shower was awful though :( only 1 shower head actually had warm water and it wasn’t very warm at all! Very disappointing. The food options were slim to none!! Not close to anything walkable. I would not stay again

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything went smoothly. The only downside was that the hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool, which would have made the stay even better.

Central location in Scotts Valley, CA and close to Santa Cruz, CA. The rooms are not cleaned everyday. Litter accumulates in the rooms.

Parking limited was limited. Bar was closed no one was there running it.
- 1/5
after going back and forward with this person explaining this was unacceptable and I had booked this room weeks in advance through Expedia I would have to contact Expedia for further because this was a third party booking. I finally got into my suite around 4:30-4:45. Again, which was unacceptable I was speaking at. I was disappointed in the hospitality/customer service I received.
- 3/5
Hotel was clean and spacious but amenities and service felt pretty mediocre. There’s real amenities except an outdoor seating area with fire pits and indoor seating area with fireplaces. We were there on a warm weekend - yet bizarrely there were no furniture cushions on the patio couches and chairs that were obviously designed with cushions. Without cushions, you’re sitting on plastic a just a few inches off the ground with a seat sloping backwards. I went out both at night and late morning - no cushions. The fire pits were so dirty, full pieces of food and crumbs left out and drink stains all over. Staff - we were checked in by someone still in training who didn’t quite know the process or the hotel which would have been okay but her trainer left her alone only a few minutes into the process, leaving us all in the lurch. In the morning I forgot my key and wasn’t able to fill my water bottle in the gym and had to use the dispensers in the lobby. One of the staff stared at me while I filled one entire bottle and most of another before pushing into my space so I had to step aside and informed me that I needed to fill a plastic cup and pour water from the cup to my bottle because my bottle was “unsanitary.” I travel often and not having an easy way to fill a water bottle in the lobby, especially in California, is just bizarre. Parking wasn’t a lot but felt pretty silly to be charged for two days for a one night stay in the middle of nowhere.
- 5/5
Stayed here a few years ago, so I came back. Just as good as I remember from the first time. I would definitely stay again. The entire place is very clean and comfortable. Great rooms. Beautiful surroundings around the hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel was great, staff was very helpful. Only thing that I wish I knew was that the entire area closes early between 8:30-9pm. Hard to find anything open in area after that time.
- 3/5
This hotel is beautiful but the staffs are not that friendly at all.
- 3/5
The room wasn’t very clean, the towels had someone’s hair on them. The toilet had hair on it and the handles to the sink were really hard to open. The noise on the floor was very loud, especially early in the morning when room service began.
- 5/5
The hotel is great but I do believe they should have the restaurant open since everything closed early ..
- 1/5
Hotel itself nice and clean. Staff not the friendliest. Charges were made our room that we did not make. We had one drink Friday night at the bar and paid cash. We were charged $136.41 in Restaurant & Lounge charges and Market Charges that we did not make. We ate out every night in Santa Cruz. The bar was not open on Saturday or Sunday. Trying to resolve this issue has been a nightmare.

- 5/5
Check in took 40 minutes with only one guy at the counter. Line with 15x families at 3:30pm. Advise to go right at 3 or after 4:15pm. Other than that beautiful property and very clean
- 1/5
Upon arrival, we were given keys to a room that was already open—and worse, it wasn’t even the room we had reserved and paid for weeks in advance. Walking into an unsecured and incorrect room immediately raised serious safety and professionalism concerns. When we returned to the front desk, we were simply told the hotel was fully booked, with no meaningful effort to resolve the situation or accommodate us properly. The lack of organization, poor communication, and dismissive attitude from the staff made the situation even more frustrating. After a long day of travel, this is the last thing any family wants to deal with. Basic expectations like honoring reservations and ensuring room security were clearly not met. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reliable or family-friendly stay. Major improvements in customer service, accountability, and basic operations are urgently needed.

Thanks guys. Stay was great.
- 5/5
Great stay! Only a couple of pet peeves about the fridge on the ground and the doorless showers. This may not bother others, just saying. Excellent location with clean rooms and friendly staff!
- 3/5
Stayed in a suite and expected much better, small fridge tossed on the floor and plugged in, no micro (should have been in a cabinet and lit up!) Very poorly lit main room, I needed to use my phone light to see inside the armoire and dresser drawers. No task lighting at all at desk. Pro: The bed was comfortable, cheaper than Santa Cruz
- 5/5
Nice place
- 1/5
Don’t stay here!! Dirty, stained sheets, rude manager!!
- 5/5
This is a beautiful, clean property. I found it odd that there were no lights next to the bed so I had to use my phone light in the night. There was no night light in the bathroom either. Over all it is a beautiful property. We will stay here again.
- 1/5
Would not recommend staying at room 112 King Suite. Only one window and the view is the public patio. Everyone can see into your room so you must keep the shades down for privacy. Gym is next door and offers guest portable drinking water so guest slam the door through the whole night until the morning. We most likely will not stay here again

Room was clean but walls are super thin and the air conditioning is horrible. Could hear neighbors nearly every night at late hours, at one point someone was smoking and the smell went into the room. Great location, parking is easy.
- 2/5
My room was licking water from the sink and all the towels were wet as soon as we got into our room. I told front desk they moved us to another room and sink was clogged for the whole night very gross . I told girl at front desk told her I wanted a discount would be nice or something. She informed me that manager would call me as soon as he got in but I got no phone call. I would not recommend the place to anyone else.
- 5/5
The manager and the girl tending bar were both exceptional. We could not have had a better time. We have stayed at other hotels in Scott’s valley and were quite disappointed. Everything was clean and nicely done and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Loved the patio! They rate AAA+.

So it took about 30 minutes to check us in due to the staff not knowing what to do it seemed like. Then he said he wasn't able to make us our key cards so he had to let us in our room with a master key he said. He also told us to not leave our room or we would be locked out and when he can get our keys ready he would call the room. He never called and after an hour of us just sitting waiting for him to call we just went to front desk and he said oh yeah you need your keys. Also the room we were in 225 we tried to open the curtains and couldn't figure it out so we called front desk and he informed us we can't open curtains because they broke. So the room was very dark. This was the worst Valentine's

Room was very clean, staff were very helpful. Rate was amazing for this hotel. Will stay again.
- 5/5
The room was gorgeous. Clean, unique. Only thing i wish the bathroom had more ventilation.
- 4/5
Nice room but no foam pillows and between guests above us and outside noise- despite requesting quiet floor- it was loud.
- 5/5
The staff was curteous and helpful. The room was clean and a very nice size, The overall the hotel feels nice and spacious. They have a very nice, large common area which bar and dining. They keep water, tea and coffee out in the lobby, even late in the evening. I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure to stay there! Wouldn’t even think of staying anywhere else.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay. Got a great deal last minute for the three day weekend. There are a few little things that were not amazing for a four points. No microwaves in the room. No way to raise or lower the blinds in the room. Restaurant was very minimal, more like ordering bar food. Bathroom was had some small hairs clinging to the wall. Given it was a great deal I'm not upset by any of the little things that were off, but I do understand why some people are upset by this in the reviews

Bar.was out of Bullet rye whiskey room.AC unit had a delay, the bathroom outlet kept.tripping on the blow dryer the microwave and fridge are stored on the floor behind the entry door the carpet at the bathroom transition was shredded our dinner order came cold(1 meal other was ok)

- 4/5
The out door cushions were old, falling apart and stained.
- 1/5
No blow dryer, no room service, had to ask for towels. The heater was not working properly because the room was freezing, the bathroom had no heater, the water was not warm enough and the shower had no door or curtain so it was the coldest showers of our lives. We got room 127 on the first floor near the lobby. Extremely noisy, could hear lots of banging upstairs and next door must have been the gym and people were dropping the weights early in the morning or I’m am not sure what was going on. Got the worst sleep and no rest. The pillows were flat and when we asked for a couple more they said they didn’t have any. The comforter was also flat and old and there were no blankets to add to the extremely cold room. It really felt like a motel 6 would feel. Do not stay here!!
- 5/5
Always a comfortable place to stay. Quiet, spacious, clean, very comfortable beds. Great value. I love staying here.
- 5/5
Everything is good. I like it.
- 3/5
The property is clean and located close to many great amenities. The only bad experience was the front desk not being able to communicate the right information when I asked for parking in then beginning, they told me that there wasn’t an extra charge for it. Unfortunately when I was checking out they handed me the bill with the extra charge and I try to to tell them about the information that I had receive from another hotel associate and they promised me a refund for the miscommunication. Just to make matters worst, they still end up charging me for the parking fees. At this point, is not about the fee but just the lack in of communication from the moment I arrived to the moment I departed. It really left a bad taste in customer service, hopefully they can train their staff a little better.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious!
- 1/5
Do not get a suite if you want to use the pull out bed. Like chicken wire. Shower never gets fully hot. They don't disclose parking fees.
- 4/5
The floor, poor lighting in room, and they charge $5.00 per day for parking. They did not tell me that when checking in. Only found out when got bill at check out. No signage of ice machine location on 3rd floor and had to ask where it is.
- 5/5
everything was great, can’t wait to comeback
- 5/5
The room was clean and the bed was very roomy there was a very small stain on the bedsheet but no bugs and it smelled clean. The bathroom was very nice and spacious but the floor do get slippery easily just be careful. 10/10 I would recommend and stay again
- 3/5
Had to wait one hour before our room was ready. Was told due to our rate we had to wait. I asked what if we arrived at 3pm, no answer. Then told that they were short on staff, a few called in sick. When room was ready i gave the nice young lady a tip and thanked here for getting our room ready. I have used Expedia may times, but this a first for me. On the fence about hotel and Expedia
- 3/5
Also, received repeated check out courtesy calls that were minutes apart - which felt rude.
- 3/5
On the negative, my wife and I found the beds to be very hard and uncomfortable. We travel a lot and are used to hotel beds being on the firm side, but we both tossed and turned all night. I also found the bathroom setup weird. The shower is kind of pentagon shaped (5 sided). Two sides were the hotel walls, two glass side walls, but where you would expect a door there wasn’t one. It was just wide open. I took a shower and water got all over the floor in front of the sink. I also found that the water did not get very hot. The combination of the open air shower and cooler water temperature left me chilly and in a rush to get out. In my hurry to get warm I neglected to clean the water up right away. Of course my 6 year old daughter went in to brush her teeth as soon as I got out, slipped on the floor and completely fell to the ground. It was totally my fault for not cleaning up the water right away, but I don’t understand the reason for not putting a door on the shower. Besides that, the hotel isn’t bad if it’s just for a night. I would hesitate to book here again if I was staying any longer than that.
- 5/5
Clean! Nice atmosphere

Yes
- 5/5
The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a great job, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel made our stay feel relaxing and stress-free. The only small challenge was the shower design. The open door style looks modern, but it caused water to splash onto the bathroom floor. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning in case it can be improved. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The great staff and clean, comfortable rooms made it a very pleasant experience!
- 5/5
Amazing

Beautiful room but there was a stain on the bench. We also were never able to get ahold of the front desk.

I was checkout earlier, thermostat not working properly, internet super slow.
- 5/5
Friendly check in staff. The room was big, clean and the bed comfy. We will come again.

Last time we stayed the restaurant didn’t serve dinner. We went and got burritos (Thanksgiving weekend) and sat in the sitting area where they do serve food. We were told we can’t eat food from the outside in the area and they made us go outside in the cold to eat. Staying at the Hilton next time. This place failed too many times.

Beautiful hotel and room! The shower was large enough to fit our whole party in had we all wanted to shower together 😂 as well as our luggage. It was HUGE.
- 3/5
Room and hotel was nice and clean. However the sound proofing in the rooms was terrible. You could hear every door slam shut.
- 4/5
Had to call to get ac to it turned on was completed repaired quickly. They missed house keeping but when advised most responsive. They need at least a hot tub jacuzzi
- 2/5
Checking in was bad. Made everyone wait until 3pm so a crowd was there with luggage stacked up. I reserved a suite couldnt find reservation, then put us in wrong room, finally got to right room & TV did not work, not enough towels or hooks in bathroom for clothes, towels, etc..
- 5/5
This hotel was very nice, clean and the room is spacious. I would stay here again
- 5/5
First time staying here and it was a wonderful hotel. We really enjoyed everything about the hotel. It was clean, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. It was a plus that its dog friendly. All the staff including the cleaning staff were super friendly and nice. We will be back. I totally recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
Clean spacious room however was not the suite I booked and did not have a terrace. The big tub was great until the second night the plug didnt work. Bring your own glasses, the hotel only provides paper cups for coffee. They did have a nice bar and patio area. The bartender let us take wine glasses back to our room. This hotel is not very quiet. People above us were like elephants lol! I know that cant always be helped. But the doors to the rooms all slam so hearing that at all hours of the night didnt help with restful sleep.
- 1/5
The air conditioner was working but only for a limited area of the room. The pillows are like pancakes when you lie on them. I asked for a change of room and they gave me another one with problems: broken light fixture in bathroom, limited overhead lighting and a plastic tiny lamp. Views are horrible like a sprinkler supply shop right next to rooms. When I asked to speak w manager was told she is rarely there because manages two properties and could not (or would not) tell me when she would be available. Then they never offered to make up for their deficiencies. Do not stay there thinking it's a 3-4 star hotel. At most it's a 2-21/2 star property.
- 5/5
Gym was real nice. Clean, lots of towels, water. Fix the TV as would have been nice to peak at the MLB game.

I have previously been to the Four Points a few years ago and had a great experience so I decided to go again with my husband since we had a great experience last time. We were on our honeymoon this time and I had notified the hotel of this before our arrival. I didn’t expect any kind of upgrade or anything but what was disappointing was we got a worse room than last time. When we arrived, the receptionist was very short and rude. They didn’t say hi or how are you or anything. They just asked for my id and gave me our key cards. I wish I saw their name but me and my husband brushed it off. When we got to our room, the lights were broken so it was very dark inside and we had to rely on the light from outside. Once it hit 7pm, it was almost pitch black. We had to leave the bathroom door open for light. The shower water didn’t get hot at all, it was barely warm. Another unfortunate thing is there is barely no parking. For a hotel that size, it’s ridiculous. Once they fill up, you have to park down the road and walk the rest of the way. Nevertheless, the hotel is very clean but don’t think I’ll be coming back again.

For being last minute booking it was worth it! Love the area and staff was very friendly

Room could’ve been cleaner trash, not completely empty towel hangers, broken overall OK
- 4/5
Staff not very friendly or helpful.
- 2/5
This could be a great hotel but they are short staffed so waited too long to check in. The employee was training and the one training left her alone and the one coming in was late. Poor girl! First room had no air, second room qas grear but we were woken up by water pouring from the air-conditioner. Maintenance had to come drain late at night. Then we were woken up at 6am as our room was right above the car wash next door. This was our second time there within this year and we also had trouble last time. May need to try another place.
- 3/5
We enjoyed our stay but our room was not cleaned - we had to call for it to be cleaned and the beds were not comfortable. I payed for two queen beds but honestly felt like two full beds.
- 3/5
The bar gets busy but the attendant at the bar can’t keep up. So you have to wait for 10 minutes before you can order. It’s not the fault for the Barman it’s the fault for the manager not having enough staff on when the hotel is fully booked. The hotel doesn’t have enough wine glasses no Barista coffee machine. The staff doesn’t know how to use the little coffee machine that’s sitting in the bar to make a simple cafe latte. Apart from that the rooms were well cleaned and I give credit for being a very flexible hotel to their guest. Love the fact that it has a designated smoking area. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
- 5/5
Lovely place !! Clean facility and staff were great and friendly!!
- 4/5
The room was spacious and a good size for a family of four and our pups. However, the sheets were not clean, and the pillows were uncomfortable.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay this time. Staff were helpful and friendly even though they are short staffed, they make every effort to make guests comfortable.
- 5/5
Huuuuuuuge room we loved it!
- 3/5
Doors? I had a 1 bedroom suite that had no door separating the bedroom and living room. The bathroom had a farm sliding door. The shower was doorless. I didn’t like the lack of privacy or safety (doorless shower). This was my second stay here, and I still do not understand why they place the mini fridge on the ground. The pullout bed was pretty filthy, but the couch itself was at least for enough to sleep on. 1 positive was the staff are very pleasant.
- 1/5
That was the worst of it, the other issue was our AC doesn't work in our room as soon as we got in last night we tried to turn it on. We called to let them know, they sent up maintainance, we were leaving to head to the boardwalk. When we returned they had a cheap fan in our room pointed at our beds. I called the front and the front desk person came in and looked at the AC and said to me, "you can always open the windows". The windows opened two inches. He offered another room with a smaller bed which isn't going to work for my fiance who has a bigger build. The fan was horribly loud all night. This place is horrible and if I could give it zero I would.

My second stay here, and it’s a perfect stay once again. Great price, restaurant and bar, clean and large room.
- 5/5
Nice property. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Had to wait 15 minutes to check in, only one staff was working
- 5/5
Nice room for the price
- 1/5
Hotel was clean abd staff was professional
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. We slept very well. The location was close to the redwoods and Santa Cruz.
- 5/5
Easy access and friendly front desk.
- 4/5
Good affordable clean place to stay at
- 5/5
Amazing property
- 5/5
A great stay!
- 5/5
Great and clean hotel, I recommend it to everyone!!!
- 5/5
Staff was kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was easy. Scotts Valley is close to Santa Cruz and attractions but less people and more peaceful.
- 5/5
The rooms are very well maintain and clean. I love the high ceilings and these rooms are very spacious.
- 5/5
Had a pleasant stay. Will stay here again
- 1/5
Additionally, the room was very spacious but not enough light fixtures so it was very very dim and furniture was of a medieval and simple modern combo.
- 4/5
This is the only property that is spacious enough for our family with double King option. Lovely stone lined entryway gives it a regal castle like feel.
- 5/5
Other than that, amazing stay. Will be staying again if I come to Santa Cruz for another over night.
- 5/5
Loved the courtyard and that food was available in the lobby- also French doors that open onto balcony in my room
- 2/5
The front desk staff did their best to alleviate the problems we found with the room. Going from least bad to worst, the body wash in the shower was empty, the bottom of the desk was broken and hanging, there were big grey stains on the sheets, the front desk weren’t given a set in the right size for them to give to us, and worst of all, both beds’ mattresses had giant divots from presumably decades of use. This and the sheets appear to be due to a lack of maintenance funding. We left early.
- 3/5
Was disappointed to be given a handicapped room even though we were not physically handicapped —- when asked for a room with a bathtub, was told there weren’t any handicapped rooms with tubs. We let them know we did not need a handicapped room but based on their observation we required one.
- 5/5
Clean! Great service!
- 1/5
Hotel was cool but what’s not is there was a mistake where they billed me 2 times for the same night and said I’d get refunded… here we are 30 days later and it’s still pending in my acc… 30 days for a refund is ridiculous
- 4/5
The lobby and rooms are updated and have a nice overall look and feel. We ate at the restaurant which is really just a handful of tables in the lobby. The hotel staff double as the servers - so it wasn't like having a designated server and the tables were still somewhat dirty from whoever was there previously. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom seemed recently updated. However it was VERY hard to even turn the hot water handle on and off. When we returned to the room later we discoverd a huge puddle of water by the front door. We called for maintenance and clean towels (since we used all the towels wiping up the water) around 8:20pm. By 9:15pm we still had no one arrive, so we called back and the front desk person said she was the only person on staff and couldn't leave the front desk. She offered to still run towels to us, but I declined as we wanted to get ready for bed. We soon discovered it was the newly installed mini split that drains water down the wall and right in front of the hallway door when the AC goes off. I woke up to the sound of water draining down onto the floor. Since I knew there was no other staff, we just dealt with it. But this cannot be the first time this has happened! There was a good amount of road noise and also hallway noise. Overall decent hotel and updated, but not the quietest or the nicest.
- 4/5
Restaurant was a joke. The food was reheated frozen pizza from Costco. Not worth the money. 5030 was not a restaurant just a bar posing as a restaurant. The table were dirty and when I mentioned it to the girl behind the bar counter she said “oh really” so indignant, like I was crazy. She never even tried to explain why or clean the table.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. Some staining on carpets, use of so many disposables could be reduced by simply putting cups on rooms. Room itself was very spacious (suite). I’d definitely recommend and stay here again. Overall I rate the stay 3.5/5 stars. Albeit I’m tough on a hotel that cost this much a night. Steam clean the hallways and U would give it a higher rating.
- 4/5
Overall, great stay!
- 4/5
Free coffee and water in the reception at all times. Very clean property.
- 3/5
I was running behind due to car issues and called in advance to let them know. My room was prepaid. They told me I had to get there by 2 AM, and I was just leaving Vegas at 5 PM. I felt the need to race and it put us into dangerous situations. We barely ate dinner. We got there at 2:15 and attending seemed completely unbothered because we were prepaid! Of course! So why did the other employee tell me I was going to miss some mysterious 2 AM deadline? Really, gonna turn away a mom with kids who prepaid and drove 9 hours to get there when they’re exhausted? Make her rush and cry with stress? Also their dryer sucks, requires 2 full passes, no quarter machine or card option, and it made US late the next day.
- 5/5
Beautiful property surrounded by trees. Large patio seating area with fire pits. Close to several locations And easy parking. Rooms are spacious, nice sized bathroom and shower. Open faced shower (no door)- tends to leave water everywhere. Our shower had a very slow drain causing us to pause between showers to wait for it to drain(a bit irritating when 4 people need to shower). Our only real complaint was the thin walls/ doors. We could hear people walking in the hallways and closing doors- its sounded very loud. BTW- no pool on premises for those interested

We were excited to stay here based on the reviews and pictures. Unfortunately, our stay was the most disappointing of our two week road trip on which we stayed at five different hotels and motels. When we arrived the music was so loud the folks working at the check-in desk had to shout. They told us there would be live music until 9pm. there was a strangely rowdy vibe in the lobby, but we went up to our room. Once we arrived we found we had been given a single king room instead of the room for 4 that we had booked. When we let the front desk know, they offered us a room with two queens, but it was next door to the "birthday girl" for the rowdy party in the lobby and overlooked the very loud party in the courtyard. With two kids we were not able to take this room because we knew how loud it would be all night. We went back to the king room and asked them to make up the hide-a-bed in the couch, which they politely agreed to. After dinner out we came back and our bed was not made even though it was bedtime for the kids. When we asked the front desk about it a different employee told us we had to do it ourselves and was honestly really rude about it. There was not bedding provided except a single sheet and very disgusting duvet insert. We had to ask for bedding three times and eventually received two shower curtains, two actual curtains, and a blanket. Then after another trip to the front desk we managed to get pillows. The hide-a-bed was ancient and had a thick bar in the middle
- 5/5
The bar was very good; well stocked, good selection, and good prices.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Really enjoyed our stay here. No need for additional information as excellent sums up the stay
- 5/5
The hotel had a full bar and restaurant, that was unexpected. The lobby area is beautiful and always served Iced water, coffee, iced tea, hot teas and hot cocoa. When I first walked in the hotel, it smelled so good. The beds were comfortable and I absolutely love that the air conditioner is above the entry door not near my bed, keeping me up all night. The huge walk in shower was awesome.
- 5/5
Great stay! Will absolutely be back. Perfectly for wine tasting lodging
- 5/5
--- We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights during a relaxed weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and pleasant. The hotel and rooms were well-maintained, and the front desk staff were courteous and helpful—graciously accommodating our request for a room change at check-in. While there isn’t much to explore right around the hotel itself, it served as a convenient base for outdoor activities. We spent one day hiking at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and took a scenic drive to Santa Cruz the next. Overall, we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. We'd definitely recommend this property for anyone planning to visit Henry Cowell or looking for a quiet, short stay in the area.
- 3/5
The hotel was cool but whoever is in charge of the billing is outta their mind… I made a 1 night reservation and paid through hotels.com… go to check in and I guess there was a miscommunication. And the decided to book me the same night through Expedia… so now I’ve paid twice for the same night… so I pointed that out and it was supposedly canceled.. mistakes happen I get that… anyways here we are a week later and not only is the $174 still pending aka not back in my account but they decided to charge me another 390… they also returned my deposit the same time last night so it wasn’t for damages or anything… oh and there was no hot water so a cold shower on the morning was better than coffee … but for real that 1 night so far has cost me almost $800 so far… when it was supposed to be for $152

Was packed, the only friendly staff member was the bartender. Upon arrival they said there was an issue with the hot water but that it would be back on in a couple hours.. it never came back on.
- 2/5
while staying at this property, Hot water was broken with no ETA when it will be fixed.
- 4/5
The place is nice, we have stayed there before with no issues. Unfortunately the last time we visited we had a very uncomfortable situation where House Keeping just walked right in while we were showering at 9:30 am even though check out isn't till noon. It was a male staff member that appeared to be knocking on the door (which he had a passkey for) while simultaneously opening the door to let himself in, SHOCKING! I was appalled and notified the frint desk.

Very nice and clean hotel. Room was great

Not to bad my parents had issues with room They were moved though.

Forgot to pack my clothes from the hotel room wardrobe before checkout. Called in multiple times after checkout but looks like someone stole the clothes. They were brand new bought specially for the vacation and been worn only once.
- 3/5
Parking is available Quiet hotel which is just what we wanted Room wasn’t cleaned on our 2nd night so coffee and towels were not replaced Bit disappointed for such a high ranking hotel

This hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Rooms are a great size. We utilized the courtyard area with fire pits in the late afternoon into the evening. Very relaxing.

Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Cozy, quiet, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great room on 1st floor. Excellent
- 5/5
The lobby and room are spacious. Property seems to be pretty new and clean. The surrounding area is new and quiet. Bathroom is big too. There is no pool or view from the room but it had complimentary coffee and tea. Overall, would definitely recommend for the great value.
- 2/5
I like the indoor pool, but the TV in our room was broken and the hotel didn’t have any left to replace it.
- 4/5
Everything was great except there was no one at the front desk for check in. It took around 5-10 min for someone to come out the office. I also noticed the Hotel was not at full capacity yet we were given rooms right next to other people with children. It was very loud.
- 4/5
Nice and quiet little hotel.
- 3/5
Also, only a single lamp in the room. So closing the shades for privacy made it very dark.
- 4/5
There is no pool but the patio has fire pits and was a nice place to hang out with our family. Our family was all in the same floor in 5 different rooms. It was nice that they were so accommodating to our family needs.
- 2/5
Awful smell from bathroom. Noisy since it was close to lobby.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, our room was very clean and comfortable. I wish they gave more towels in the suite, the $5 a day parking fee was kind of ridiculous because that was not disclosed when booking online.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
This property was great. The room was huge, the bathroom and shower were huge. Cute lounge area and bar. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Location was good
- 4/5
Nice hotel, super accommodating, huge rooms, amazing showers.
- 5/5
The accommodations were exceptionally clean, and the staff demonstrated a friendly demeanor throughout our stay. Guests were provided with fresh fruit-infused water, enhancing the overall experience. The showers were large and spacious, contributing to our comfort. We were highly satisfied with our visit, particularly appreciating the comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, quiet. Nice area away from the crowds. Comfortable and clean bed. Exceptional shower…loved the size and amenities. Wonderful bar manager offered great suggestions for things to do.
- 4/5
It’s conveniently located. Clean with easy parking. I was told that there is a charge for parking even though the listing in Expedia advertised free parking. The check in wasn’t easy as there was something wrong with the credit card machine.
- 3/5
There was an event going on the second night we stayed and it was quite loud. There was no notice of this event & when
- 3/5
The hotel is fairly new and really beautiful. We needed ADA accommodations as my son is in a wheelchair. There was no ADA anything in either of the rooms. One of the biggest problem is that they charge you for parking. The hotel was hosting an event for a local school and the parking was completely full as they only have a small area to park. The front desk attendant was fully aware of our son’s needs and he recommended we parked across the street in someone else’s parking lot and walk the long walk back across the street to the hotel. It should be recommended to them that if they are going to host an event maybe they should ask those attending said event to park across the street instead of the people who are staying at the hotel who are being charged for the parking. I was not the only guest this happened to so absolutely something to take in to consideration. They also allowed people who were attending the event to park right across the entrance of the parking garage and managed to make it impossible to get in and out of the garage if you had anything other than a small vehicle.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, very helpful front desk team, great bartender (Yesenia).
- 5/5
Small fridge with freezer and small microwave in room. While the bathroom was beautiful and the shower wonderful, no shower door was a bit strange. Overall a 5 star stay and we’ll be back!
- 5/5
Staff is friendly. Rooms are large and clean and the area is nice. I would stay here again
- 5/5
I stay here every few months, one of the best hotels in the Santa Cruz area!
- 4/5
Easy check in

I love the fact I have a large Silverado Duramax and had no problem with the parking under the building where I felt my truck was safe
- 5/5
Casey at the front desk delivered exceptional service
- 5/5
Nice and quiet good value .
- 5/5
Close to hiking trails and the beach. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Santa Cruz..
- 4/5
Pete was extremely helpful in helping me log on to the WiFi network. He also served us food on Sunday night as well. There was a mixup as I had reserved three nights, but they only had me down for two nights. The email sent to me indicated 3 nights. It was resolved at the front desk.
- 5/5
Almost seemed like an old time hotel. Out of the hustle bustle of Santa Cruz, but close enough to enjoy Santa Cruz itself. Excellent value.
- 5/5
The hotel and the room were fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was gigantic. Their gym had top notch equipment as well. I highly recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
The room, bed and pillow, bathroom were clean. Price was reasonable. Will stay here again.
