Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds at this hotel. The pineapple theme and free drinks are also popular. However, some guests find the hotel to be a bit expensive, and there are complaints about noise from traffic and other guests. Additionally, some guests are unhappy about unexpected fees, such as a $23 per night charge for amenities like WiFi and coffee.

Nicely appointed room. It took a while to cool the room but it was hot in Seattle that day.
- 5/5
Size of room was wonderful. Welcome drink was nice. Staff was very fast in responding to requests. A further walk than the Graduate hotel.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, large roomsband nice staff
- 5/5
I loved the "pet supply", so thoughtful! The slogan "not just pet friendly but pet obsessed" is really true! The beds are always great, the free water (also sparkling ) is an extra perk, and the location in the U-District was very central to visit my son.

Just don't look put your window.
- 5/5
My daughter and I ended up booking a room here for a few nights after the VRBO we got was terribly dirty. The reservation was Super last minute (15 mins before we arrived at the hotel) - but staff and everything about our stay were wonderful! The cafe was also super helpful the morning we left. Highly recommend!

good location
- 5/5
Really really pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, we were staying there for a birthday and they gave us a card and stuff for mimosas as a gift for staying there.
- 4/5
My only complaint was the elevator broke and when we got home we had to climb 5 flights, and I have a bad knee. Too bad they did not have another set of elevators. The other concern was when I got the bill they charged me $24.95 for Guest Amenity Fee. I asked what that was and I guess it is for Bike lock, endless coffee, and the water bottle they give you in the room that says Free! Interesting. Overall it was a great experience!
- 5/5
This was a last minute booking and a little more money than I'd normally spend but it was worth ever penny! I accidentally turned into their garage which required your hotel key card to enter. I couldn't back out because someone came behind me so I pushed the call button. The gentleman at the front desk took care of it, only asked my last name and then opened the gate so I could park. So friendly. The room was not only clean but FUN! They had all these little personal touches all over that made it such a joy to stay there. Oversized towels, bottle of complimentary water, vouchers for free beverages, bath robes. And when we asked if we could have an extra blanket, it was brought up immediately. Loved it and would definitely stay there again!

Terrific location a short distance to anything you might want or need in North Seattle. Best spot to stay in town if you are travelling with your dog.

Close to UW. Nice amenities like free drink (we used for lattes). Convenient parking. Comfortable beds. Room was warm.

Awesome property right on the heart of the university area. Staff and amenities were excellent.
- 3/5
Both of these are extremely minor nitpicks, my problem is ultimately that I think I probably ended up paying more for these unnecessary and strange flourishes.
- 5/5
Clean, parking was secured with a charge. Nice area for going to University of Washington hospital.
- 5/5
It was just above standards
- 4/5
Nice cafe.

The staff was great! Parking is underground and very secure. The room was HUGE with the most comfortable bed I've every had at a hotel. If you want to be near the U-District and Capitol Hill, this is the place for you.

Watertown Hotel has a contemporary European vibe. Underground parking is gated and secure for $25 per night. Abundant dining options are within easy walking distance including the small cafe next to the lobby.
- 5/5
Very friendly helpful staff. Nice room, bed. Pretty close to link rail and district.
- 5/5
Beds are SO comfortable. Staff is friendly. Very convenient location. Love the unique touches.
- 5/5
Did not eat breakfast and did not use parking facility
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a very nice, large room. Coffee and tea in room. Parking was convenient and easy, felt like a safe lot. Only complaint was fridge was too cold, our drinks were frozen after sitting overnight. Otherwise perfect stay! Location is great for most UW things, Neptune theater etc.
- 4.5/5
Location was great, walkable distance to many things. Beds were uncomfortable, didn't stock enough towels in the rooms

Staff was very friendly and the location was perfect with it only being a 7min walk to the train station, didn't have the breakfast but the cafe looked nice!
- 2/5
The road construction was difficult to find with one way directions. Parking lot was challenging to identify and was gated which made check in stressful at night. Faucet and water shower did not work well, faucet and handle need to be replaced. We booked two nights but changed to one night. We are monthly travelers and stayed at many hotels.
- 5/5
I rarely have much good to say about a hotel stay, but this stay really exceeded my expectations. My first stay at a Staypineapple, I was blown away by how dog friendly they are. Even the front desk said they are "dog obsessed". Parking here is abundant and convenient for only $25. The rooms are stoic but perfectly functional. The coffee machines in the room is the best I have experienced anywhere. All around, a great stay!
- 4/5
It was a great place. Staff helpful. Caffe downstairs was not good. Nice sitting there but don’t order anything beside a coffee
- 5/5
Very nice and cozy hotel, great service and very attentive stuff. Always a pleasure to stay there
- 5/5
Comfortable room for a three night work trip. Was extremely happy with the microwave. Only wished the fridge could be adjusted colder. The bed was comfy and plenty of storage space in the room.
- 5/5
Great location and clean hotel.
- 5/5
Hotel is conveniently located. Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
I truly enjoyed the special little touches that made this property unique; from the funky themed decor, to the super cool coffee maker and liquid creamer in the fridge… we thoroughly enjoyed our night here. The only things I would have changed were 1) I wish we could have stayed a second night, and 2) I didn’t know the parking garage was a dead-end. I went all the way to the bottom and had to do a 4-point turn to turn around to get back out. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and our stay was great.
- 5/5
No breakfast included but there’s a CB offer shop off the lobby and a great breakfast place 1.5 blocks south - a 3 minute walk. Beautiful rooms - we’ve stayed in several. The most comfortable beds co in any hotel ever. The TV remote needs attention. I forgot to mention that to staff.
- 2/5
Breakfast is available like any other resturaunt or cafe a person pays for. The hotel was under construction, i got a nail in my tire, the pool was unavailable, and parking was expensive
- 5/5
I wish the cafe served a light dinner and if not that...having plates and silver available to clients would be nice so I don't have to bring my own. I don't eat out of take out cartons or on paper or plastic.
- 5/5
Check in started off rocky bc their paid early check in that specifically states guarantees is not in fact a guarantee. Despite that, the staff did get us in quickly, and we were super pleased with everything else about our stay.
- 4/5
Clean room. Easy access to UW. Didn’t really need amenities provided so charges for them seem extra. Felt for parents entering room to stuffed Husky because how do you get out of that $25 once the child sees? Staff at coffee bar seemed self possessed. Not bad customer service but entitled and service seemed an afterthought to their current drama. Front desk seemed unable to provide options for dining that didn’t lead to campus experience. All in all good.
- 5/5
The clean, modern property is a great place to relax after a fun day in North Seattle.
- 5/5
Probably our 4th time coming back to this hotel. We love bringing our pup because of how pet friendly they are. We will be back again! Never disappoints.
- 4/5
Perfectly in keeping with an average hotel at this price point. The staff were friendly. Parking was available. A bit tight to make the initial turn at the bottom of the ramp, but it had a spot for larger vehicles. My only warning: the heater unit beneath the window was a bit loud (within reason and I slept OK), but if you like a soundless sleep environment, bring earplugs. The bed was comfy enough. Shower pressure was just OK (they regulate pressure), but the temperature was constant. Generous counter space was appreciated. The room did not smell. Check-in and out were efficient. So decent enough for an "overnighter."
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Room very clean and comfortable. Not great options for breakfast:lunch. Close to lots of other choices though
- 5/5
Good parking
- 2/5
The hotel needs to be renovated. The toilet and bathtub were clogged.
- 5/5
Easy and convienent for UW Med
- 5/5
Great place! perfect location good price
- 4/5
everything is fit for the price except shampoo and conditioner, terrible I have to say, worse than those sold cheaper in supermarket.
- 5/5
Excellent room. Fridge, microwave, safe. Super clean
- 5/5
We were visiting UW and the hotel was very convenient. Just a short walk. Everything was as expected with very good customer service.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful, comfy
- 4/5
Would have been cool if it had a little bar or cafe.
- 5/5
The entrance to the underground packing garage is right next to the hotel. Very convenient, especially in this area of Seattle. The hotel experience overall is excellent and the availability of their water bottle refill station was a big plus. The staff was also super nice.
- 5/5
Cute hotel. Cafe was groovy. Parking situation was great too.
- 4/5
Nice room, easy check-in.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay so much I do plan on coming again. I like finding hotels within walking distance from local theaters and this hotel is close to the Neptune Theatre here in Seattle. Parking for the hotel is under it so there was no parking in a separate location. There was road construction at the time of my stay and it was very confusing on what to do and where to go but after pulling over and calling the front desk they were able to guide me in to there location smoothly. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was huge and rather stately. Took a nice hot soaking bath after the show and relaxed in my king size bed reading. The layout of the room gave it the feeling of being larger. The view out the window was of life but I wasn’t there for the view. My overall experience was extremely positive. 🤗

Clean beautiful hotel

- 4/5
Room and service was great as always - unfortunately the TV had issues staying on the cable channel without automatically flipping to live stream TV.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay in Seattle
- 1/5
The tub in my bathroom had red stains on it. I was unable to use it. When I told the front desk. The attendant said that people use products that stain the tub. They did not come look or send someone to clean it.
- 4/5
Cute place. Good location. Was a little loud at night. Staff is amazing!

Nice amenities and so convenient

Staff was wonderful. Room was way too hot, even when I turned on the AC. The comforter made it worse. I awakened in a sweat every night.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. Very nice room. Clean. Unique. Perfect for a medical stay at UW Hospital.
- 5/5
Large room, comfortable bedding, friendly staff.

The room was clean, cozy, and affordable.

Large rooms . Daily Charge for amenities but no amenities.

Great price, and the room is great. The parking access was weird and we did a few laps around the block but finally found it.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Room also comes with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea, safe, large full size mirror and 2 adult robes. We will definitely stay here again before kiddos next appointment.
- 4/5
Staff were polite. Hotel lobby was nice. Not sure $25 daily fee
- 5/5
Wonderful place! Best sleep I’ve had in a long time!!
- 5/5
Was there to see an old friend, but their flight got canceled. So I left the next day
- 3/5
It was ok, a little worn, not super clean especially the floors. The staff was pleasant but definitely gen z...
- 5/5
All quite nice. I stay here often. And the only thing is that somehow they don’t remember that. And I have to give the same info every time
- 1/5
Expedia promotes that you charge in full. Why does the hotel have addional charges not listed. Is the hotel over charging or Expedia lying. Rip off l!
- 5/5
It was clean , convenient
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, staff members friendly. Underground parking. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Fine. Feels good to me.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! The room was wonderful with great amenities!

They set out logo buttercookies and fre coffee around 3pm and I enjoyed them. Front desk people were kind and helpful, and cafe was perfect for morning specialty coffee!
- 5/5
Room spotless well appointed and a joy to be in. Staff polite thoughtful and really nice to deal with
- 5/5
Checkin was seamless. Staff was friendly and room was clean, quite, and comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. I had no issues at any stage of the process.
- 5/5
Room is great and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
It was my first time staying at a Staypineapple, and I am now a fan. I like the focus on cleanliness, privacy, and a good night's sleep.
- 5/5
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but there is a cafe. The room was spacious and clean. Excellent location to walk around and explore. Super close to train station.
- 5/5
There isn't a free breakfast, but there is a coffee area with sandwich's and pastry. Love this hotel and it's sister joint a block down the hill. Stay here often.

- 5/5
Very comfortable bed and bedding! Friendly and helpful staff. Less than 15 min walk to UW Campus
- 5/5
Great stay for nearby hospitals!
- 3/5
Not being able to have room cleaned daily is a non starter
- 5/5
It was great!
- 4/5
Always nice and clean and smells wonderful. My only two complaints are; The TV is way too small. We were watching a movie with subtitles and could not even read them. Maybe the TV should be mounted above the wetter sink on that wall. Just something with a little more size. Also, the shower nozzle is horrible. It is such a narrow spray pattern and it is hard to get totally comfortable in the shower as it always seems like you have to keep turning to get hot water on the other side of your body. Honesty, we love staying there and these things are just suggestions
- 1/5
Room was dirty. Lot's of construction going on at the hotel and hard to get around. I had to cancel and rebook to another hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly service. Clean and modern interiors. Spacious, comfortable room. Many dining options walking distance from the hotel. Walking distance to UW. Light rail is a 5 min walk from the hotel too. Very easy to get to other neighborhoods, downtown, or the airport. Really fantastic hotel option for a UW visit with easy access to downtown.

- 4/5
Friendly staff, very accommodating and helpful. Very clean.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great parking, convenient
- 5/5
Parking was great, as were room amenities and space. My only complaint would be noise. We could hear every step from the people above us. But, is in older building, there isn't much they can do to stop that.
- 5/5
Very fun hotel with Pineapple theme. Excellent location close to University of Washington. Great amenities like bikes to borrow.
- 4/5
Room was dated, but very clean. Bed was pretty hard. Parking was easy. Across the street from a market. The staff was AMAZING. They made the stay.
- 4/5
Nice property just wish there was a sauna.
- 5/5
Really great! We got a junior suit the room was perfect! Our two kids LOVED the tub and all the amazing views!!
- 5/5
Comfortable and low key
- 5/5
It was amazing!!
- 5/5
Super cute, pet friendly. Seemed clean.
- 3/5
Being charged for amenities that are not used is pretty dumb.
- 5/5
The location is ideal for me. The Light Rail station nearby is a great advantage compared to when I lived in the area for years. There are many things to do in the U District and it is a walker's delight. Parking at the hotel is very good although it comes at a price. The room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed. The duvet bed covers worked well for me. The staff was friendly and helpful. I liked everything about the Watertown Hotel and hope to stay there again.
- 4/5
It is good
- 5/5
Nice hotel and great staff!
- 4/5
Great place to stay for a game.
- 5/5
Convenient to Univ of Wash and designated parking area are why we have stayed multiple times when in SEA
- 5/5
Just a great experience all around
- 5/5
The staff is always super friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There’s several restaurants, coffee shops, and stores with in walking distance. For me the biggest plus is the proximity to UWMC
- 5/5
The only thing that I did not like are the added costs (amenities and parking) that were high and hidden in the reservation.
- 5/5
Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Cute hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5

- 5/5
I have stayed in this hotel multiple times and it is my go to for when I need to be near the university. I highly recommend this place. I also like the 3pm coffee and cookies!!!

Staff was very nice. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and bedding was great.

Very clean and quiet. Perfect location for a visit at UW
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Great location, convenient to Light Rail station and loads of excellent restaurants.
- 4/5
Overall, great hotel - clean, modern, friendly staff, snack perks, thoughtful room design/amenities and close to UW campus and Medical/Hospital. Not so great, but not hotel's fault, is the ongoing road construction/repaving right in front of hotel so can be a bit loud at 7 am.
- 5/5
Great staff, easy check in
- 5/5
Terrific property and close to the university.
- 5/5
It’s clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly and very welcoming. They really put extra fun little touches all around. Their Do Not Disturb sign says “I’m Naked Go Away”. The bottle of water in our room was metal and they offered a water station in the lobby. Even the extra roll of toilet paper was wrapped like a pineapple. There was a stuffed animal in the room that you could “adopt” for $25 that goes to an animal shelter. We were there for my son’s surgery and they waived the parking fee. When you’re stressed out an act of kindness can go a long way. I definitely would stay there again.
- 5/5
This is an excellent hotel. Very clean and the room was superb.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and clean! Hallways were quiet which was a plus!
- 5/5
Large rooms. Very comfortable. TV’s are very small
- 5/5
Really clean and nice hotel
- 5/5
It was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out. The staff were all friendly and so accommodating. The parking was safe and very easy. I loved it! It was clean and the beds were so comfortable. It was also located in such a great location. 5 out of 5 stars for me!
- 5/5
The great location, nice accommodations and awesome bedding!!!
- 5/5
Nice amenities, clean rooms, very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Staff were not very helpful, room was big, but that was the only positive
- 5/5
Great location close to the light rail and the University. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

- 5/5
Great location. Rooms are clean & comfortable. My third time staying here.
- 3/5
Wifi was inconsistent and slow. They charge a lot for no amenities. The trainee was very polite when we arrived but her manager was cold and dismissive and didn't help her check is in. Overall the location was good but I wouldn't necessarily recommend.
- 5/5
It was a nice clean hotel, friendly staff and quiet!
- 5/5
Great hotel, nice parking garage. Very convenient to the University of Washington.
- 4/5
Great hotel!, Clean, safe, awesome!
- 5/5
Room is super clean. Friendly staff. They have free bicycles! I get to ride it around the UW campus. Amazing stay!
- 4/5
Love the pineapple theme and the nice room. Good location for our planned activiites.
- 5/5
We always enjoy staying at this hotel. It is super dog friendly and we frequently come back just for that reason! Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
- 4/5
Pool was not heated, but we still enjoyed it. Road construction around the area.

Great concept

Personally I’m not into the double duvet - much rather struggle under one big duvet but I like he originality of it. One small detail which would be helpful is hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes while showering.
- 5/5
Great location. Amazing beds and linen…slept soundly. Clean, nice staff, and great amenities. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Close to port with transportation options.
- 5/5
Conveniently located to where we needed to be.
- 5/5
The staff are amazing. Were here for cancer treatment and the took care of my mom and wife like family.
- 2/5
The room was totally bare-bones: tiny, half carpeted, half tiled, with one single desk chair. They must not think that people actually want to relax after dealing with the city! Their amenities were nice: a steel water bottle, and sparkling, still, or hot water to fill it; two coupons for glasses of wine (in a can); and pineapple-decorated cookies. I’d rather have had a comfortable bed and places to sit!
- 5/5
Hotel was located around bus/rail transportation that made it so much easier. Staff answered all my questions very friendly. Enjoyed the pineapple cookies and coffee when available. Will definitely be come back or refer to family/friends.
- 5/5
A selection of snacks downstairs (including a free drink—the can of wine was good!) and cookies set out in the afternoon. Nice touch. Super comfy bed. A +. Reusable water bottle in the room and filling station in the lobby. Loved it.
- 5/5
The room and location were great for my visit
- 5/5
Super comfy beds, great decor and friendly service!
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 4/5
Good property but there are some things that could be better
- 5/5
I liked the convenience and location of this hotel to the University. It was clean, quiet and fit my needs. I also enjoyed the decorations and room layout.
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay in the U District. Friendly staff, clean rooms, welcome beverage, safe parking ... always top of our list when needing to stay in the area!
- 5/5
Big comfy room, easy access to bicycle routes.
- 5/5
Was good but they didn’t come in and clean the bedroom
- 5/5
Thank you, Jennifer
- 5/5
this place is a gem. the staff is warm and helpful. the housekeepers go beyond expectations in keeping the rooms clean and the location is convenient in every way.
- 4/5
It was not bad, and generally good. The rooms are a bit older, and on the smaller side and don't have any area to sit. There is a "resort fee", which is a standard charge nowadays and also a parking fee - kind of irritating a bit since they should just add it to the rate. The only benefit with this resort fee is that they offer a free water filling station in the lobby. Wish it had a kitchenette, which would be more useful, but maybe next time I think I might check out Residence Inn for a similar price.
- 5/5
A 5 star!!!
- 5/5
We’ve stayed here twice as it’s close to UW Montlake Hospital. Hotel is boutique size which we love. Easy to get in and out. Staff is very friendly. Parking is an extra $25/day in the underground garage. Towels are plush which is a very nice touch. But pillows are flat. No full service restaurant but small walk up coffee cafe in the morning. Will be back.
- 3/5
We had a rough check in, but the front desk staff tried hard to make up for the issues, so that was good.
- 3/5
Hotel theme was nice. Good cookies. Staff was nice. Good beds. The bad. The neighborhood was a little sketchy. The room rate was HIGH. Breakfast was OK at best - just very limited.
- 5/5
Cool vibe to the hotel. Staff was very helpful. I wish the extra fees were more clearly stated on the Hotels.com website though. $25/night parking fee and an extra “facility fee” of about another $25 nightly.
- 3/5
There is an undisclosed "amenity fee" of $28 that is supposed to cover two "free" drinks, internet, coffee, etc. Well, the internet didn't work, and they didn't have coffee ready in the lobby when I checked out. The hotel tries hard to get you to check yourself in online so they can eliminate front desk staff. I don't mind that if they pass on the savings.
- 5/5
Great customer service and really comfortable beds.
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was amazing so friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again.
- 5/5
My boys and I had a great visit to the Seattle area! I really liked the location due to its affordability vs. DT Seattle. We used the Lightrail that was just a few (walking) blocks away and we did a kayaking excursion that was outside of the city but only a 20 min. Uber drive from the hotel. We also found a terrific pizza place w/NY & Chicago style pizza within walking distance. We also liked and took advantage of the onsite cafe for quick breakfast items. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Nice hotel but no restaurant

The coffee cups and tp look like pineapples. Comfy, clean rooms, big pillows, amazing robes, bikes to get around Seattle, free drinks... our stay was *chefs kiss*

Our stay at the Staypineapple, Watertown Hotel was very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable, the perks were good, and the people were friendly and accommodating. It was a great location for us, close to the light rail and the University. Definitely recommend it.

My Go To hotel when staying in Seattle. It’s not directly downtown but the space you get in your room for the value of money is great. Also the staff, I should have mentioned them first. They were all so helpful and accommodating. Love this hotel!

Great place to stay. Very fun and unique. Everything was great

The bedding was a little weird, but we made it work. Had to pay extra for parking that I didn't expect, with a lot of fee charges. Won't stay her again due to the parking issue, but it was a nice hotel and close to the attractions we wanted to see.

Surprised by the welcoming staff and a small gift. Surprised again by the European style bedding. Room was clean and location is within walking distance to UW. Will stay again.

My friend and I are from Vancouver, BC and took the bus to Seattle, arrived way earlier than check-in time so the staff let us leave out belongings at the hotel so we could tour around the city hassle-free. We checked in an hour earlier and the room was great! Really clean and we loved the pineapple-themed room which was adorable. The room was actually pretty bigger than the usual double bed room from pricier hotels which was amazing. The area feels safe as well and we love how it was close to restaurants and the train.

The hotel is close to University of Washington, close to many restaurants. The room is very clean and free drinks are nice.

No pineapple water available like Staypineapple University Inn down the street.

For our purposes, it worked out very well

Room was showing some wear. They had to turn off the water for maintenance before we checked out so little awkward

Rooms were clean, comfortable and the bedding was some of the best. Parking in order to check in isn't great but Seattle overall seems to have that issue. Staff were very friendly but I feel like they could update the area that you check in so it feels a little more in tune with the rest of the hotel.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice room accommodations for pets and goody bags for them. I did wish that they had a designated walking area for pets though.
